wait hi....... I hope you don't mind me asking WHSHHWHDHWH but with the himeru event soon I was just wondering, how do you get enough points for the card???? I have no idea what I'm doing (DOTN HAVE TO ANSWER)
OH DEAR BROTHER OH DEAR GOD I CAN FINALLY SHARE MY TIERING KNOWLEDGE WITH THE WORLD... OK SOOO!!! normal events are usually so much more boring than tours (tho less tiring if you arent insane like me.) becayse its unfortunately all about point grinding. for this the best thing you can do is build a team and select a song that can guarantee high scores!! my strongest team is a red one and the song that works best for me is kiss of life (red bonus + member bonus from my tatsumi and hiiro 5 stars + expert full combo which gives more points than hard = YUMMY SCORE) with this, based on the bp you use you'll get points!!! ALSO ALSO IMPORTANT BEFORE WE MOVE ON!! there is also the scout bonus from the event scout! its luck based and i fucking hated using it which unfortunately led to me spending Way more than i should on events. sighs. but if you have enough luck youll be able to increase your points by a LOT so i recommend at least doing 20-30 pulls to guarantee at least the three stars and four star (tho if you really want the event scout card you can always go for more pulls. be free❤️) aside from usual lives theres also the event live that you can access through live passes (was that their name.), you can do one for 100 passes and you can multiply the points by using more passes!! usually around the time the event is about to end you'll be able to use more and more passes (by the final days i think you are able to multiply by 20 which is . a lot JDKAKRJSN) SO YEAH THERES THAT, also starry lives and work are very important, starry lives work basically the same except you can now play the event song with your passes to get some extra points And work gives some nice extra points too!! they may not make a big difference at first but believe me during the course of the event you'll notice how much of a difference they make❤️ doing the 3.5 million points over the course of the event is Way more viable and easy, you can set 500,000 point goals per day and be able to get the five star! it ensures you get some free bp over time and also ensures you spend less dia sooo if you arent insane you can always go for that. if you ARE insane and want more than one copy Erm. idk what to tell you im just about to try that path out HEJSNFHBSH
#always recommended to watch some videos about this since there are some that do help a lot and also i am very bad at explaining🔥#HOPE THIS WAS. SOMEWHAT UNDERSTANDABLE. DMDKAJRJEB

Element Count, Multicolors, Combos
One aspect of S3 I've been pondering again is what chance I want Combos to play. Having players provide buffs to one another's activities is one of the core features. This was the reason I originally designed the skills round-robin in terms of their elemental inputs/outputs. That is, I had a starter card that gained a bonus from using Stealth and granted Mobility, another that used Mobility and granted Nature, another that used Nature and granted Tech, and so on.
The trouble with this is that it causes trouble with self-sufficiency and deck identity. The sneaky rogue doesn't want to have to buy druid spells to get cards that give him Scouting skill. This becomes more of a problem if you have solo players and couples - which you have to understand add up to a large demographic segment in the cooperative game space. Like. There are a lot of individuals out there who "two-hand" Shadowrift or other cooperative deckbuilders. They like the vibe, but they can't get together 3-4 other people who can match their schedules. As someone who has played hundreds of cooperative game sessions solo because I make cooperative games for a living, it's a lot more appealing to "two-hand" than to "four-hand" a cooperative game. It's a lot of extra work and table space to run four hands, and it's really difficult to remember how you're operating each deck's deckbuilding strategy. I try to come up with a vague strat before I start, if I do that, usually around the super-vanilla "Fighter/Mage/Cleric/Rogue" party design. Anyway. If you've got a lot of your audience who want to play with 1 or 2 players, the round-robin approach to elemental inputs/outputs hits a snag because you get these situations where you're forbidding someone from just buying the skills they want. To fully run their deck, they have to multiclass. That doesn't feel right. If there's a reason for solo/duo players to want to multiclass it should be because there's just a bunch of stuff that has to get done and each of the skill card types is good at that.
Also making them "want" to multiclass rather than making them feel they "have" to multiclass will always be superior. You're designing a game; Your solution graph should be 90% carrot to 10% stick.
Players want a strong sense of character identity. One direction to go with this is separate starter decks, and another is to let players build decks. Marvel Champions does both - you have a set of 15 "Spider-man" cards (and a set of 5 nemesis/problem cards that being Spider-man adds to the villains' event deck) and then you get your pick of basic cards and cards from one color/style (aggression, protection, leadership, justice) to bring your total from 15 to somewhere in the 40-50 range.
This definitely extends the amount of setup time for new players. But it also gives a strong sense of character identity (roughly 1/3 of your deck will be Spider-man if you're playing Spider-man, which is enough to define a specific vibe even if you lean really heavily on the Aggression cards or whatever). It also gives the game legs, as players will want to try out favorite cards against each of the scenarios, so many players won't consider the game "over" just because they've done each scenario once.
In this view of things, it might be good to have characters who are simply better at certain aspects of winning the game, and increase the number of cards that let you target anyone - not just healing in the form of removing Wounds from the target's deck so they're not clogged up but increasing xp gains, buffing allied damage, granting stealth, inflicting statuses that make monsters vulnerable to allies' attacks, and of course granting resources that let players get more out of their own turns. The last has been the core of the skill share system, but it's not necessarily the best part. It's worth considering how to make the whole experience more streamlined.

Who the hell is CM Punk and why is he “All Elite”?
If you’re reading this post, you’re most likely somebody who’s heard the latest buzz around the wrestling world: CM Punk is back! But who exactly is CM Punk? You’ve probably heard the name before, either in the context of pro wrestling or as part of his time in UFC, and have always wondered what the big deal is about the guy. You’ve also probably seen or heard about All Elite Wrestling, up-and-coming wrestling promotion airing live Wednesday and Friday nights on TNT. But what exactly is AEW as well? That’s where this post comes in. In this long-ass post on Tumblr, you’ll be given a crash course on the history of one of pro wrestling’s most iconic superstars as well as the abridged history of AEW, the premier wrestling promotion in North America, allowing you to (hopefully) understand the significance of Punk’s return to the squared circle as well as give yourself significant knowledge of AEW enough that you can begin to enjoy the weekly shows they put out!
Okay, so who the heck is this CM Punk guy anyway?
To put it simply, CM Punk is one of the most significant pro wrestlers of the 21st century as well as the history of the industry itself. While he’s not on the level of mainstream recognition as Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold Steve Austin, Punk’s contributions to pro wrestling are arguably as important to the industry. To understand Punk’s significance, you need to have a little history lesson about the industry in the early-to-mid 2000′s.
When you think of professional wrestling, you probably think of one name above all: WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. WWE was, and still is, the most mainstream wrestling promotion ever. People associate all wrestling with WWE, no matter what. But what about what’s below WWE in terms of recognition? The Minor League Baseball to its MLB? To that, we have to look at the independent scene.
The independent scene is, simply put, the underground punk rock of pro wrestling. It’s where the stars make the names for themselves to rise to the success. Indie wrestling is important because it’s where Punk began. CM (the initials jokingly standing for whatever is on his mind at the moment, ranging from Cookie Monster” to “Charles Montgomery” or “Chicago Made”) Punk began his career in the independent scene around the turn of the millennium. He rose to significant prominence in the promotion Ring of Honor, one of the most premiere indie leagues in the United States. This prominence was brought on by Punk’s oozing charisma and wrestling talent, making him one of the best known “underground wrestlers” at the time. Then, in 2005, Punk signed a contract with the major league: he was WWE bound.
To regale you with Punk’s career in WWE would require an entirely separate post, so I’ll spare you the specifics and get to the good stuff: Punk was over in WWE. “Over” of course meaning the fans loved him. And why shouldn’t they? Big time wrestling fans knew Punk from his days in ROH and to see him rise to be on national television broadcasts and pay-per-view was rewarding. To those who were introduced to him, he was a fantastic talent and provided immense entertainment because of his talent in the ring and outside it.
Later on in his career at WWE, Punk provided one of the most scathing promos of all time, criticizing the company for its horrific decision-making and idiotic management. The promo was a “worked shoot”, wrestling lingo for a promo that seems like it’s breaking character but is all planned out (Punk was allowed to say anything he wanted, no matter if it was in character or not) but it was still extremely satisfying for the fans who agreed wholeheartedly with Punk about the state of WWE at the time. This promo (now known as the “pipebomb promo”) is just one of the many reasons why CM Punk has remained an immense fan favorite. The idea of a wrestler taking the mic, airing their grievances, and showcasing how a major corporation treated their employees with disdain and damnation is utterly unlike anything seen since Stone Cold Steve Austin back in the late 90′s. Punk, to many people, was one of the first of many “indie stars” that WWE had “poached” from the independent scene, turning them into corporate icons, stripping away their unique qualities as a person and transforming them into recognizable brands to sell merchandise with. To see Punk spit back at the WWE made a lot of people realize that enough was enough for them. Punk was the voice of the voiceless, a wrestler echoing throughout the halls that he wasn’t just a brand to slap onto a cheap mass-produced product, that he was a wrestler (in the mid-2000s at WWE, the term “wrestler” was seen as an irrelevant term, the terms “sports entertainer” and “superstar” preferred by management) in this business to prove himself as the Best in the World. And like clockwork, on July 15th, 2014, Punk was removed from WWE’s active roster after he had effectively walked out of the company weeks prior.
One of the most significant events post-WWE with Punk was his appearance on close friend Colt Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast. Colt’s podcast was known for featuring “shoot interviews”, basically interviews with wrestlers out of character detailing backstage information and telling stories. Punk’s episode of the podcast is significant as it eventually led to a total legal dispute with one of WWE’s doctors whose misdiagnosis of a staph infection was one of the reasons for Punk’s departure from WWE. Along with that, Punk’s general dissatisfaction with the “WWE Machine” as it’s been coined was another reason, with him even mentioning at times post-retirement that WWE was responsible for him never wanting to wrestle again. And so it seemed, as Punk later on signed with UFC in an attempt to get a MMA career off the ground, that the legacy of CM Punk ended with his tenure at WWE.
Until, that is, the wrestling world got a little...elite...
Okay, so I get who CM Punk is now, but what’s this All Elite Wrestling business?
AEW, All Elite Wrestling and the sole reason you’re reading this post right now, is the second biggest wrestling promotion in North America and quite possibly the world. Its inception begins with a group of wrestlers signed to the aforementioned Ring of Honor and a little bet made with wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer on Twitter.
Meltzer had proclaimed on Twitter that ROH did not have the capability to sell 10,000 tickets to an arena-run wrestling event. ROH-signed wrestlers Cody Rhodes (son of Dusty Rhodes and brother of Dustin Rhodes f.k.a. “Goldust”) and tag team brothers Matt and Nick Jackson (known as “The Young Bucks”) took Meltzer up on the bet and immediately scouted an arena for such an event. Partnering with Ring of Honor along with other wrestling promotions around the world such as Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Impact Wrestling, and New Japan Pro Wrestling, the trio promoted the event as All In and managed to sell out the arena in less than 30 minutes, even exceeding the goal by an extra thousand or so, becoming the largest attended wrestling event not held by industry leader WWE since 1993.
Naturally, the success of such an event caught the attention of many leaders in many industries. The idea that an independent wrestling event could create such a huge success in a time where WWE was kingpin of the industry was unprecedented. It was clear that the wrestling world was ready for a change and the numbers didn’t lie.
On the 1st of January 2019, All Elite Wrestling was announced with the running of All In’s sequel event Double or Nothing which would also be the inaugural pay-per-view event for AEW itself. Backing the company financially was Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan along with his son and co-owner of the Jaguars Tony Khan, who would lead the company as president, CEO and head of creative. The announcement of the company was peppered with signings of some of independent wrestling’s hottest stars such as “Hangman” Adam Page, Joey Janela, Britt Baker, and Kenny Omega, often cited as the greatest wrestler in the world with multiple 5 star+ matches under his belt. Also announced were some of the most interesting inclusions: former WWE stars Chris Jericho and PAC (f.k.a. Neville) had joined as well. At the premiere event of Double Or Nothing, the most shocking addition to the roster made his debut as well: Jon Moxley, formerly known in WWE as Dean Ambrose, one of the highest-profile stars in recent history had jumped ship from top of the card in WWE to the newest promotion. Ripples in the wrestling world had turned into immense shock waves.
Alright, I kinda know the history now but why is AEW so important?
AEW’s significance today cannot be understated. Before its inception, the world of professional wrestling consisted of two pillars: WWE and the independent scene, and the two could not be less equal. WWE was seen by many as the top of the line, the area where a wrestler could be seen by the most eyes and where they could be paid top dollar moreso than any indie promotion. But it was also seen, as detailed earlier by CM Punk, as a place of dull, corporatized profiteering. WWE does not treat its wrestlers as characters in engaging, eventful stories. To the WWE, the wrestlers are no more than brands, recognizable faces and repetitive phrases that they can slap onto t-shirts and other merchandise to sell for a quick buck. WWE as a company does not care about the world of professional wrestling, even recently going so far as to call themselves not a “wrestling company” but an “entertainment” company. Wrestlers in WWE are not given the opportunity to come up with material they think will best suit the story of the match and appease the fans, they are given pre-written scripts of dialogue to act out as if they were in a movie and storylines meant to tell the story the writers want to tell rather than what the fans want to see.
For many wrestlers, the art of wrestling is a finely tuned craft. WWE’s corporate micromanagement of the whole process is utterly disrespectful and soul-crushing. At AEW, the story is different.
AEW’s creative team allows its wrestlers to do whatever they think the fans will like. While not necessarily allowing the wrestlers full creative control (Tony Khan, after all, has the final say on things), AEW at least allows the wrestlers flexibility to try new things without being railroaded by storylines. This results in characters like Orange Cassidy (see above) a wrestler whose entire gimmick is that he just doesn’t care. In his matches, he’ll lazily loaf about the ring, putting in the bare minimum effort at attacking his opponents except when the opponents REALLY strike back at which Cassidy explodes into an array of athletic fury while simultaneously never losing his cool. And it works! The gimmick worked insanely well on the independent scene, away from the strict guidelines of a major corporation who probably would not understand it, and fans adored Cassidy’s laidback, lazy attitude. And in AEW, Cassidy’s gimmick transfers flawlessly due to the company’s trust in Cassidy to make it work. And so, AEW remains a place where wrestlers can succeed not at the whims of an out-of-touch old man playing with his action figures in a way that satisfies only himself, but at the whims of creative people who believe in the equally creative minds out in the squared circle who themselves believe in the hearts of the audience, understanding full well what it is they want to see when they come to or tune into a wrestling program.
There are a multitude of other reasons AEW is probably the best wrestling promotion on the planet (ease of access, LGBT diversity among the roster) but the creative freedom it allows its wrestlers remains one of the greatest.
Okay, now I kinda get the appeal. So where does CM Punk tie into this?
As with any new promotion heavily allowing for greater creative opportunity for its wrestlers, fans are gonna want to see their big favorites join the roster. Names like Daniel Bryan, Aleister Black, Adam Cole etc. known from their time on both the independent scene and at WWE have been tossed around a lot during discussions in the past as far as who should jump ship to the promotion that will best suit them. But one person has always been the biggest “what-if” when it comes to joining AEW: CM Punk. As laid out earlier, CM Punk’s dissatisfaction with WWE was wholly responsible for his greater retirement from the pro wrestling scene. And when there’s only one really significant promotion on the market, why bother? Punk has been vocal in the past on Twitter, in interviews and many other places that his love for the business of pro wrestling was soured and that something truly significant would be required for him to return. It seemed natural to fans that, should AEW prove to be a significant competitor to WWE that, somehow, some way, it could lead to the in-ring return of one of the best to ever step foot in it. And when AEW announced it would be running the second episode of its brand-new show Rampage at the United Center in Chicago, Punk’s hometown, the rumors began to fly.
Punk himself is known for joking about and debunking rumors, hearsay and other lies about his potential signing with any wrestling-related outlets. So when the rumors began to fly that Punk was signing with AEW...the man himself stayed uncharacteristically quiet. And the wrestling world began to gasp...was it true, then? Teasers were thrown about here and there on AEW programming, small things that could go either way but to hardcore fans seemed to understand were plain as day. Punk himself even got in on the action, posting cryptic videos on his Instagram that fans eventually linked to the United Center and a return for the Best in the World. It’s been known as wrestling’s “worst-kept secret” and today, it was revealed in all its glory.
CM Punk, one of the original independent wrestling superstars, one of the few men responsible for changing the culture of professional wrestling in the 21st century, had finally returned home.
Okay, that was pretty explanatory. So now, where the heck can I watch all this?
Excellent question! AEW currently has three methods of airing content:
- Through their network TV shows aired on TNT
- Through their YouTube channel
- Through pay-per-view events
AEW Dynamite is the company’s flagship show airing Wednesdays at 8:00 EST/7:00 CST on TNT. All the company’s major storylines are told on Dynamite and the show usually runs for ~2 hours. There are over 90+ episodes of Dynamite and its not really required that you see every single one though there are many episodes that have aired in the past that feature matches, promos, and other segments worth checking out.
AEW Rampage is the company’s second show and currently only has two episodes aired. It also airs on TNT, Fridays at 10:00 EST/9:00 CST. Rampage has been given the description of being a little more “action-packed” than Dynamite, with shows only lasting for a single hour and featuring little promo time instead focusing primarily on matches themselves.
The company’s biggest stories tend to culminate in one of its four annual pay-per-view events. AEW pay-per-views are available via WarnerMedia's B/R Live service in the United States and Canada, and on FITE TV internationally. Additionally, AEW PPVs are also available via traditional PPV outlets in the United States and Canada and are carried by all major satellite providers. AEW PPVs generally cost around $50-60 and run for about four hours or so.
In addition to the two TNT shows and pay-per-views, AEW also runs two weekly shows on its YouTube channel, AEW: Dark and AEW: Dark Elevation. Both shows are generally referred to as AEW’s “developmental” shows, created mostly for unsigned or up-and-coming talent to showcase themselves in a taped format that forgoes the traditional network TV deals for easier access online. Dark and Dark Elevation’s differences are negligible but both tend not to crossover too much with the main shows, although some stories definitely do. Both shows run for ~an hour and a half on Monday nights at 7:00 EST/6:00 CST (Dark Elevation) and Tuesdays at 7 EST/6 CST (Dark).
AEW talent also provide a few extra sources of entertainment through their own YouTube outlets as well. The Elite, a popular stable in AEW consisting of current champion Kenny Omega and current tag team champions the Young Bucks, feature themselves in their own weekly travel vlog/comedy sketch series Being the Elite while other individual wrestlers like Sammy Guevara, Allie “The Bunny”, and Ethan Page provide more individualized backstage looks at the company through their own vlogs. These aren’t necessary to enjoy regular AEW programming but they definitely add to the atmosphere and you can tell through each how much the locker room loves and respects each other.
Wow, this was really in-depth and definitely not a small task at all. Thanks for the help!
No problem! If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message, though its doubtful I’ll receive it since I barely check Tumblr anymore! If you know me on any other platforms, the message still applies! Thanks so much for reading! I really do hope this helped you understand the situation a little better. Enjoy wrestling!

the boys but they’re idols
ft. bakugou katsuki. midoriya izuku & todoroki shouto
Note: yes, I missed prime pun opportunity to write ‘the boyz’ in the title. Anyway, I’ll be general enough to not include any real-life names and music, but I’ll get specific about other details. (Besides, if you squint real close you can see where I got my references from.) I’m thinking of a follow-up part, but we’ll see. Hope you enjoy!
* These headcanons are detailing each of the boys as a member in a hypothetical idol group, and not that they’re all in the same group.
** For context: the difference between main and lead positions is that main is the position that gets majority of the activity e.g. song, dance, rap, etc. Lead is more of a supporting role, but still important nonetheless.
Tags: idol!au, no x reader for this one, unless??, as you can see from the word length I think you’ll know who I’m partial to
Word count: 3.3k
BAKUGOU KATSUKI
Obviously an all-rounder. He can sing, dance, and rap, though his forte is definitely dancing.
Bakugou obviously has some mad hand-eye coordination if he can play the drums, and I haven’t even brought in his utilizing it through his quirk and fighting talent. He’s also very flexible when twisting through the air and extremely precise with his explosions
Thus, I’d say that his moves are the most on-beat and precise. He’s got very solid moves when dancing; imagine his limbs cutting the air in sharp, refined movements, and his flexibility leads him to be an overall powerful dancer.
Bakugou is a HUGE stickler for technique. Sure, he’s not above improvisation, but technique’s where he excels the most. He’s looking far ahead enough to not want to jeopardize his health by doing some dangerous moves that could potentially hurt his body, so he always takes extra care when going about them, such as taking advanced dance classes.
He works wonderfully as a center, because not only does he have this charisma that makes people unable to look away from him, his perfected balance between his fierce dancing and his emphasis on technique lead him to be a picture of refined strength, and an absolute delight to watch on stage
His facial expressions are definitely the best when he’s performing powerful songs, probably because he’s naturally angry lol. His worst concept has got to be cute, but while he dreads doing it, it’s not like he can’t pull it off. He’s an idol, dammit.
Bakugou’s that one member who wears a headband or bandanna during cutesy performances and sticks with it, because that’s the closest the stylists are ever gonna get to his hair
God forbid if he ever has curly or straight hair
He’s not against dying it though, but he still cares about the repercussions it has on his body, so he tries to refrain from dying it too often. (Which could be inevitable if his managers require him to, I know that. But I’m going to give the boys a little more leeway here to showcase their personalities.)
Anyway, a bandanna suits him just fine, and now he’s the trademark member with the bandanna haha
Some things that don’t change from canon are obviously his schedule. Boy still wakes up at the crack of dawn, probably goes for runs or do sets in the gym, make himself a healthy breakfast, then get down to work
Now I’m conflicted as to what position he would take in a group; I’m leaning towards main dancer
Then again, he IS an all-rounder, so really you could get him to do anything and he’ll be just fine
It’s not in his nature to fail, after all
He can sing, but since his voice is kind of gravelly he’s not the first choice for a main vocal. Strong lead vocal material, I’ll bet, because his voice adds a lot of color and diversity. It’s not something you’d usually hear in a song, that’s why.
He can rap, but again, his voice is gravelly and hard to hear, so I don’t think it would be too good a fit for fast-paced raps. Though, throw him one or two iconic rap lines in his natural ‘I’ll punch you in the face’ tone and you’ve got yourself an icon (and a meme) for days.
I can also see Bakugou being leader of the group, since in canon he’s actually the oldest in class 1-A. One thing though is his outward persona isn’t all that pristine; he has trouble switching gears into idol mode. As we know Bakugou doesn’t lie, regardless of circumstances, and he’s not about to start doing that just to be liked better. If any of these extras are going to be his fans, they’re going to have to recognize real talent, without all the fake smiles.
But because he knows what it could do to the group’s reputation if he came out to look like a big bad bully, he usually keeps his mouth shut during publicity events
He’s probably one of the first idols to have a not-so-sunny media persona, but fans mostly see him as this brooding, sulky kid that’s prepared to put 100% into everything he does
Which is why they still like him
Suffice to say, his fan-base is very similar to the BNHA fandom lmao
Cue all the memes on him being a jerk and everyone liking him anyway, but they know he’s fully committed to the group and wouldn’t want to do anything to risk its image
But over the years, and with the amount of events he’s been involved in, Bakugou’s learnt to let out his true personality one step at a time
He’s considering things carefully because he doesn’t want his fans to be jarred by his personality change all of a sudden, and also because he’s tired keeping up appearances
Jokes on him because the fans already know how he is and are just waiting for him to be more comfortable around the group to showcase his true feelings
And you know what? It sells!
His members also see him as some inspirational figure because his determination and commitment is truly unparalleled
And while he isn’t the easiest to get along with, they know that he’ll do anything within his abilities to push the group to greater heights
While that’s cute and all, it also means they have to suffer at the hands of Bakugou’s tough love. Tough luck
Besides being leader, I could also see him having a hand in producing as well
Remember when I said he was a stickler for technicality? Well, yeah, exactly this
If he feels something isn’t up to par he’d rather do it himself. I think he’d dabble in mixing for a bit and realize he actually has an ear for it, to which he’d then go on to producing whole songs that just awe his members and they’d be like ‘yeah let’s go with this’
And one more thing. Bakugou’s actually got an eye for fashion
Yeah, gripe all you want because all this boy ever wears in the dorms is skull shirts and black tanks but seriously, when he gets down to it, he knows what looks perfect on each member and can make little adjustments to change up a whole style
Courtesy of having designer parents lmao
Overall Bakugou is nothing if not capable. While it means he could definitely go solo at some point, he’s formed bonds with his members and knows he’s grown as a person as a result. And at this point he can only get better
In a leader position, he’s got the charisma, and is not afraid to push for changes if he thinks the status quo isn’t doing enough to ensure the members’ well-being
His weaknesses are obviously teamwork and perfectionism, but he’s been learning how to get along with others better, that it’s not all just a rat race for fame and influence, and he’s able to form some pretty lasting relationships (see: Kirishima)
Not perfectionism, though. He sees it as a strength and not for one second will he compromise. He wants nothing but the best quality, not just for himself, but for the fans
MIDORIYA IZUKU
Looks like the maknae but isn’t. That’s it, that’s the post
He has a really sweet voice so I can see him going for vocals. So imagine when he turns around, holds a mic in his hand and starts RAPPING
You got it, he’s a rapper. Look at the speed that kid goes when he’s mumbling and muttering to himself all the time
Cue Deku’s origin story where he’s mumbling to himself on the street and a talent scout hands him his business card asbfajgfsa
His enunciation is also clear, and his sweet voice makes for a very refreshing rap. That and he also writes his own rap, because if he’s going to be saying anything on that stage, he’s going to want it to mean something.
His raps are always soulful, with hard-hitting lyrics that serve to encourage and motivate anyone who hears and vibes with them.
Basically, his gap moe game is STRONG. Dude be spitting fire up there on stage but once he’s come down, he’s a timid, sweet, shy boi, with overreactions and exaggerations that just make him all the more endearing
He’s also a big fan favorite because he nails every concept well, and has a very down-to-earth personality which he doesn’t hide from the cameras
You want him to act cute and youthful? You’ve got it. You want him to go for something sexy? Um yeah, he’ll have his reservations, but he’ll still do well. You want him to be angry and powerful? The strength in his gaze has got you trembling from the pit.
He’s not just a fan favorite but also that of the staff. Seriously Deku deserves all the love in the world and in this world, he’s going to get it
He’s in the position for main rapper, but I could see him going for lead vocals as well. He’s got a sweet, clear voice that immediately tugs on anyone’s heartstrings the moment they hear it, and he’s usually given more lines in ballads. His vocal range isn’t bad, he can reach moderately high notes, but sometimes his voice undergoes strain. He’s training for that, though!
As for his dance style, Deku probably goes for freestyle! He’s got this easy-going, totally relaxed style going for him that’s full of swag (omg outdated word alert) that makes his movements very smooth. He’s also reasonably flexible, though not as flexible as Bakugou or Todoroki, so he still can pull off certain dance moves.
Unpopular opinion, but it’s Deku, not Todoroki, who looks good in EVERYTHING. Literally his stylist is squealing backstage because they can go ham on dressing him. You could put him in a gold chain and ripped jeans OR an oversized hoodie and rompers, and it’d just go. The only thing is his hair though; he’s thinking of selling it as his charm point (not his freckles!) so he’d prefer if it could stay green. He doesn’t mind if they style it different ways though
The fans would go ballistic if they saw Deku with an undercut, and chances are they’re going to get to see it
He’s definitely one for improvisation! He’s very flexible with these changes, much like how he considers his growth in canon. He’s always looking to try out new styles or moves and see if it fits for him
Besides, I also see him producing! It’s because he’s so immersed in his idol career that he’s always studying new trends on the scene and making them into formulas for the group. He’s also thinking of marketing strategies in his free time
Everyone better be afraid of businessman Deku because he’ll be stealing those bucks from right under your nose
He’s also got mean leadership skills, but I don’t see him in a leader position
Rather, he’s like the second-eldest-but-co-leader kind of guy! He assists the leader in any way he can, and always serves to inspire and motivate the younger ones to work harder together as a team
Deku’s still got that shounen-protagonist charm, even in this world
But for all his good points, Deku still worries he isn’t enough
He knows how cut-throat the industry can be, having studied it inside and out, and he doesn’t want to lag behind
Cue him getting up at odd hours of the morning to use the practice studio (without waking up the others, of course) and other instances
Whenever his members realize he’s been overworking, literally everyone turns on him
He used to be the mom figure, but the moment he’s ushered into bed, a cooling pad on his forehead and thermos at his bedside desk, and the members even station one person to be in the living room so if he tries to leave his room to practice by himself they’ll see him
Jokes on them because Deku practices in his room
He practically moves in his sleep as if trying to get the muscle memory down
Precious boy must protecc!
In sum, Deku’s a great teammate to have and a valuable asset to the team
He’s also the best of friends and is never one to let a fellow member down
Probably the first to burst into tears if the group ever disbands
With his talent and fan-base, he could definitely go solo. But more than that, he wants to cherish the time he has with his members and achieve greater milestones with them every day
TODOROKI SHOUTO
High-key a visual. I mean, everyone wants to look like him!
Like. Everyone stops to look at him whenever he enters the room. Staff, producers, backstage crew, everyone. Even his members, sometimes.
Man’s just too pretty not to stare at
That's not to say he isn't talented, oh no. He's much like Bakugou, an all-rounder, but he's gone through rigorous training from when he was young to get there
Definitely not because of genes, no offense to Rei
As much as Enji is a major shareholder in the industry, anyone who sees Todoroki strut his stuff and still says he got in because of his father has got to be blind. Or deaf. Or plain stupid.
Sure, he had all that training courtesy of his dad. But the moment he enters as a trainee, it's all him from there and no one else.
He's a lot withdrawn at first, still is, but he's improved a lot from when he first joined. It's because of the support he's gained from both his members and fans that he's able to push himself to be the best version of himself everyday
He definitely doesn't come out and say it, but he's probably the most grateful for his fans. As in his family isn't the only lifeline left for him anymore
Todoroki has an amazing voice; while his speaking voice is low, he can reach higher notes without much difficulty. His tone is deep, somber and perfect for ballads, but the training he's undergone has made his technique immaculate. He's got excellent control, he can do runs and riffs effortlessly and he's even perfected his growl. Fans won't even see it coming
His dancing on the other hand is a lot about technique; but unlike Bakugou, Todoroki probably did classical and contemporary dance training as opposed to hip-hop or popping. Because of that, his movements are smooth and elegant, and he always carries himself with the grace of a dancer
That's not to say he cannot be an absolute beast on stage, of course. He's just more in his element when it comes to melancholic ballads, and he's had a hand in choreographing contemporary routines before
That experience and knowledge easily make him a capable choreographer for the group
After all those years of not being able to properly express himself, Todoroki learnt to let his dance tell a story in itself
He's also a fast learner, so any hip-hop techniques he easily picks up and incorporates into the routine
This makes me think he’s going to be a main dancer and a lead vocal, maybe even main vocal
I don’t see him in a leader position because while he has the charisma for it, I think he’d lack in communication, like Bakugou. They’re both a bit too used to doing things on their own that they 1) can’t trust anyone else to do it right and 2) as a result have never consulted other people about how they do things
The difference is Bakugou is a little more observant and far-thinking enough to be a leader, but it doesn’t make Todoroki any less important
If anything, he’s the mom friend, and always makes sure that the members stay in line and out of trouble
Also, for some reason, he's got exceptional charisma on stage and he doesn't even know it
Like, a sexy song comes on and then there’s Todoroki's smoldering heterochromatic gaze
Fans: omgomgomg how is he so hot what the—
Him: ??? This is my normal face tho
It's a strange feeling. One moment, he can be humping the floor and another moment he's got dimples in his cheeks from smiling. It makes him look like a totally different person, even though he's the same guy
His fans don't know why either
As much as he has a creative outlet in dance, Todoroki thinks he has no talent for songwriting or producing. He doesn't consider them his areas of expertise and if he was asked to write lyrics he'd have a hard time because he rarely expresses himself with words. He'd fret on it and eventually not get much done, so why try?
He does help out though, in offering suggestions on how to proceed, but he won't take the lead for any of these. Only dancing
That and his growing up with a businessman father leads him to also know the industry rather well, so he can offer some insights as to what image they could go for and how to market their discography
When it comes to styling, Todoroki is an absolute Mess. The things he likes and wants to wear doesn't suit him all that much, and the stylists usually have a hard time picking out clothes that really accentuate his look and figure. The myriad of colors in his hair and face lead to color clashes, but they find that red and blue are usually the go-to colors.
Did I mention that Todoroki doesn't mind dying his hair as long as they don't dye the white part? Enough said
They've done rainbow on him before!
He also doesn't cover up his scar, and over the years he's learnt to make it his charm point
It serves to make him a noticeable figure in the industry (as if his heterochromia weren’t enough) but it also makes him easily recognisable to fans
It’s not like he doesn’t like interacting with his fans, but sometimes some of them get a little too close, or ask questions that are way too personal
During those times, he’s at least got his members to relate and support him through it
The cutest thing about this man has got to be when he interacts with fans
Like, he’s pretty expressionless most of the time, but he always makes sure that his fans know that he’s extremely happy to have them here, and that he’ll continue doing the best he can for them
If you’re lucky and catch a small smile from him when you’re at a fan sign, I guess you could die peacefully
To summarize, Todoroki is a sweet bean but hardly ever shows it
When people praise his looks, he’s humble about them (though it’s more because he doesn’t know or think he’s attractive… baby just doesn’t see it)
And to top it all off, he’s a charmer on and off stage with his quiet, sensitive nature and calm demeanor
He’s also the one that’s most likely to have a modeling career outside of his idol work
He can’t act for the life of him even though he’s got the expressions right on stage
Like Deku and Bakugou, he could always go solo, but his reason for not doing so is mainly because he’s found a new family, here with his members, and he doesn’t want to lose it
He doesn’t even mind if they don’t produce music anymore. As long as everyone sticks together and has a good time, he’s willing
A/N: Thank you for reading! If you haven’t checked out my other pieces, you can find them on my masterlist; if you have, thank you for your support! I’m trying to post something new every week, so stay tuned :)

Hello! Thank you for answering my ask last time! I've been enjoying this game a lot! I really like your blog! I hope this hasn't been asked already but what are the best way to get prisms?
Hi! I’m glad you’ve been enjoying shining live, and im glad I’ve been able to help you out.
As for getting prisms, theres not really any solid ‘get lots of prisms quick’ things. You mightve seen i said i recently redeemed 980 prisms from my gift box, but that was because i’ve been way too busy lately to read event and side stories, so after catching up one a few months of those I redeemed all those prisms.
I wrote this a few months ago, but I’ll copy paste it here as well:
“Tips to gain prisms:
Max special practice and max level your rares (20 prisms for full level plus 10 for their stories.) If you haven’d done this with your normal cards yet, max level them as well. It’s easier since you do not need to special practice them.
SSS all easy and normal songs. 9 prisms per song per difficulty, it really adds up. SSS hard songs as well if you can easily.
Prioritise prism rewards in collection events.
Minimise the amount of prisms you need to use during events by saving LP gifts just are preciously as you do with prisms. Try not to use extra LP gifts outside of events you want to tier in.
Make sure to log in every day, especially on birthdays and for special login bonuses.
You get a lot when you complete events, and you’ll generally have a net gain of prisms even if you are tiering high up. (200 prisms for rank 750 etc. Thats almost enough for one 10+1.
Make sure you clear your missions. Weekly, monthy, event, normal missions each give prisms. Even just from weekly missions, you get a lot of prisms
Watch the daily ads if you have an EN account. This is 5 prisms a day, so 1825 over a year, enough for 6.8 10+1′s. * ads are currently unavailable on EN.
There are the login bonus roulette boxes that you get which can in theory give you a lot of prisms, but I’ve only ever gotten above 30 once, and that was just 50.
If you are going to buy prisms, set limits in advance to how often you’re going to do it.
Tips to save prisms:
Start a secondary account (on a different phone or a different server) and use it to solo. This really helps me to resist the temptation of soloing on my main account since its usually a massive waste of prisms in the long run.
Set goals. If you want to save enough to do the guaranteed UR for you favourite boys birthday, you will need 700 spare prisms when that time comes. Always make sure you have 700 spare saved up for his birthday (if thats what you want to do.)
I will usually only let myself scout once if my boy is just an SR in a set (unless I like the UR of course.)
Remember that every set will be added again in the future, you will always have another chance.
If you think you will be tempted to use prisms during the event but don’t want to, try to wait until after the event to do the event story and redeem the prisms you would get from it.
Same thing goes for redeeming prisms. if you want to save prisms, keep them in your giftbox until you need them. Plus, its super fun to redeem them all together and get +500 all at once.
If you want to, save up for Shining Party (double UR chance) or half price scouts (150 instead of 300 for 11 cards.) These usually happen for special events or milestones (anniversaries, player count etc.)
I always try to be above a certain number of prisms, or at least keep track of how many i will want to use for different things. Obviously, it can be difficult to save up that many in the first place, but I always try to have the 700 I will need for a birthday, plus 900 for emergency UR of best boy (3 pulls), plus whatever else I want to have saved up for events or the elusive Setsugetsuka set.
Remember, that gachas are basically a form a gambling, so make sure you have your limits and stick to them. Hate to be a killjoy, but do not let gachas be your entry into gambling”
There might be a few other ways to get prisms now since this was written a while ago, but thats most of it! Hope that helps, and good luck saving.

Hi! I want to get into Love Live but I don’t know how to. Can you please give some advice?
Waaah I’m honestly not sure if I’m the right person to ask about this?? I’m not really a big name in the fandom by any means! But I’ll do my best to help!
Love Live has so many aspects to it, so it can be kind of overwhelming when you’re first getting in! The way I see it, there’s kinda 4 main parts of Love Live! First there’s the anime which tells the story! There’s the music, because LL releases music under an official label, and there are many songs aren’t in the anime! Then there’s the app game! And then there’s a bunch of stuff relating to the seiyuu (voice actresses).
The good news is you can choose which parts of it to partake in and which not to, and at what pace/timing that’s good for you ^^
Starting with the anime is maybe the most obvious way! There’s two series, the original Love Live! and also Love Live! Sunshine!! Each series is about 9 girls who form an idol group to save their school from closing down! The original series focuses on a group called Muse, and Sunshine is about a group called Aqours! Each series has two seasons, and there’s a movie that comes between the two series (a movie is coming out for Sunshine soon as well!)
Starting with the anime makes sense cus you get to know the story and each character and their personalities! Finding out your “best girl(s)” is also a big thing! And often times you can orient your other LL decisions around your best girl (more content to look for, buying merch, scouting for cards in the app game, etc.)! Also, ships are a big part of the fandom, so watching the anime first helps to start figuring out what pairings you like!
Of course, you don’t have to start with the anime! There’s also the app game called Love Live School Idol Festival (LLSIF for short)! It’s a rhythm game, and also a card collecting game, and it has an in-game story too (differing slightly from the anime). There’s two versions of the game, a Japanese one and a worldwide one in English, but don’t worry the only difference is language, and EngSIF is behind on cards and events, which is a given. Obviously, start with the English one XD. There’s a tutorial, but here’s a general guide if you need it!
I think these two places are the best places to start! The main advantage with starting with the game is you can get exposure to LL’s music, and there’s a huge amount of songs that like I said, only a fraction is included in the anime! Eventually though, the anime is necessary to really know the characters (and the plot of LL of course)!
As for music, Muse and Aqours have a gigantic discography, so it’s pretty hard for anyone to just sit down with a huge list of songs to listen to lol. So to me the musical aspect of LL is more of a natural outgrowth of watching the anime and playing the game, and hearing the songs from those two things first!
But for when you start wanting to delve into all the songs of LL, here’s two complete lists of all of them on the LL Wikia: for the original Love Live! series and for Love Live! Sunshine!! (you have to scroll down a bit to see). These two lists link to pages with the audio for every song and its translation, so you can literally listen to all of LL’s songs on the Wikia!
(Side note, the Wikia contains a lot of extra content and information in general, so do explore it sometime?)
What makes LL’s music so expansive is that, besides the songs that are in the anime and those that Muse and Aqours release as “full-units” of 9, they also break up into groups of 3, or “sub-units,” which releases songs as well! And then there’s also solo song relases, and duo or trio songs with different combinations of members! And then there’s special songs that come from the Blu-rays or what have you! Basically there’s a lot, so have fun journeying through them!
I think by then, you’re already well into LL, and can pretty much participate in most fandom things!
The last thing is the seiyuu’s themselves, and this is for when you really want to go in deep, and it’s totally ok if you never go this far! But in case you’re interested, I’ll talk about them too!
There’s a whole bunch of content related to the seiyuu of the LL girlsl, which makes Love Live not just an anime about idols, but also with real idols too!….at least somewhat! Like 2.5D idols, hahaa….
The seiyuus host livestreams (sometimes called Niconamas), where they read fan letters and talk about news, but ALSO play games and do improv segments and just generally get into extremely funny antics!
Take your time going through this compilation of Translated Voice Actress Content on the Wiki! I’ve compiled this video playlist of the Aqours seiyuus in Niconamas and some of their mini Lives, that I’ve put in (mostly) chronological order and are (mostly) all subbed, and which I try to keep the playlist up to date on!
The seiyuus also do other programs, most notably radio programs like NozoEli’s Radio Garden, and for Aqours, Uraraji. There use to be a bunch of subs for these on youtube, but unfortunately due to copyright strikes recently these were taken down. But the subber, Kuurin, has started reuploading these videos on Vimeo, so go here to check them out! (Hopefully Uraraji will start being reuploaded soon!)
Finally, the biggest thing is that the seiyuu’s put on Lives and perform all the songs as their characters! They’re practically real idols themselves! Thanks to the hard work of fan subbers, you can download them or find links to download them from Team Onibe’s site. Onibe subs so much content for LL so bless them!!!
Following the seiyuus is almost a separate thing in itself (I’m slowly getting pulled into idol culture in general because of it haha…), but the seiyuus really bring their characters to life and it’s also amazing and inspiring to see how hard they work!
Ok, phewy that’s a lot! But hopefully all the details help! There’s other things too, like manga adaptation and magazine publications and merch, but please don’t stress yourself! There’s no need to feel like you need to play “catch up”. I only mention because I want to let you know that there’s so much to look forward to!
Just enjoy everything there is at your own pace! Love Live and the fandom has become such a big and important part of my life, and I hope you come to love it as well! Best to you i ^^

It’s happening now. This is a real SHTF event. Major disaster has hit, power is out, everyone is panicking, grocery stores are being raided and emptied within hours, and cars are grid-locked trying to make their way to safety, anywhere. No-one knows where that is.
As Preppers, we have already prepared for this eventuality. We already have our emergency supplies packed, it’s likely we have a plan in place as to where we are heading. And we’re long gone before the panic has set in. However, it’s all very well having your bug out bag ready, learning survival skills such as how to catch your own food, how to filter water, and how to start a fire, but if you don’t have a shelter; you’re missing the most important survival item you need.
If you spend any reasonable amount of time in the outdoors, you’ve probably heard of the ‘Survival Rule of 3’. You can survive:
3 minutes without oxygen or in icy water
3 hours without shelter in extreme environments
3 days without water
3 weeks without food
These four rules rely on the previous one being satisfied. So for example, you can only survive 3 hours without shelter if you’re not in icy water, you can only survive 3 days without water if you have shelter from a harsh environment and so on. Therefore, next to being able to breathe oxygen, shelter is the next most important element of survival if you find yourself in extreme weather conditions.
It’s likely that most Preppers will know how to make temporary shelter using materials you can find on the forest floor, but what about if the disaster or crisis descends into total chaos and it’s TEOTWAWKI? (The end of the world as we know it). Would you know how to make a more permanent structure for you and your family to live in? If you’re lucky, you might come across an old underground bunker, but you’ve not left anything else to chance in your methodical planning, so why leave this to chance?
You need to know how to build your own survival cabin. Let’s face it, when SHTF most of us are bugging out to the forest. There is good reason for that. In the forest you’ll find one of the most valuable resources that you need to build a long term shelter: wood. This type of survival shelter is going to require time and effort, so it’s important that you learn the basics right now rather than learn through trial and error and the time and waste resources.
First, let’s look at what you will need to make your survival shelter. Ideally, you don’t want to be carrying a ton of tools around with you, so we’ll focus of building a shelter that only requires you to have minimal basic tools that you’ll probably already have packed: an axe, a fixed blade knife and a multi-tool. Let’s not beat around the bush, if you were going to build the same shelter at your own leisure, you could make the process a lot quicker using a whole host of other tools, but this isn’t about speed, this is about building a shelter to keep you safe.
First things first, you’ll want to choose a log cabin plan. You’ll most likely want to build a square or rectangular cabin, around 14×14 foot. We’re going to use that as our example throughout this set of instructions. There are five main steps to building a survival shelter; choosing your site, selecting your logs, laying the logs, openings for windows and doors, and finally, raising the roof. Step one, and to some extent, step two are something you should go and research now. Step three through five, you’ll need to have written down so you don’t make any mistakes when it comes to the build.
Step One: Choose your Site
Get to know the site you intend to escape to now. How far away is it, how long will it take to get there, how will you get there? Choose somewhere you can get to either by foot, or with one tank of gas. Once you’ve found a few places that you can reach without too much difficulty, you’ll also need to make sure it is far away enough from main roads and cities. You don’t want to set up a shelter in plain sight for anyone to come and make their own.
Where are the nearest places for natural materials? You’ll need somewhere close-by to a water supply, plenty of trees to use both for your shelter and for firewood, somewhere that has an abundance of animals that you can trap. Ideally, you’ll also need some softer materials to create somewhere to sleep, initially grass will do.
You’ll also want to consider the temperature year round. If the area you’re settling is made up of hills and valleys, you’ll find both the top and the bottom gets cold quickly. It’s windy at the top, and the valleys trap the cold air. Settle around 3/4 up a hill if you do find yourself in this position.
Scout the area for poisonous plants; don’t set up a permanent shelter if there are any in the immediate vicinity. What are the trees like surrounding your proposed site? You’ll need some for protection, but you should make sure they’re not dead or they might fall down onto your shelter.
One last thing to think about is the natural elements. How will the rain fall and collect, is the land flat? Where does the sun rise and set, make the most of this to heat your shelter if you’re in a cold climate, or ensure you have shade if you’re in a hot climate.
Step Two: Selecting your Logs & Preparing the Site
The majority of trees are suitable for building a survival shelter. Even though hardwoods such as walnut, poplar or oak will give you a more durable build, they are harder to work with. Instead, choose Pine, Cedar or Spruce. If you don’t have an option – just build with whatever trees are growing in your area.
The trees you choose should be long enough to create the length of your shelter, or double if they’re large enough to get two lengths out of each tree. They will need to be around 10 inches in diameter, to provide you with sufficient insulation. The trees also need to be as straight as possible.
For a survival shelter of 14×14 feet, you’ll need logs that are 16 feet in length. The extra one foot either side of the log allows them to be notched together and provide an overhang to give a sturdy and solid join.
Note: If your logs are 10 inches in diameter, to create a 9 feet high shelter, you will need 11 x 16 ft logs for each side, and a further 10-15 logs to create two gable walls. You should put aside the best 7 logs, to use as the sill logs and the purlin and rafter logs.
Sill Logs: Four logs that will form the base of your shelter
Purlin Logs: Two logs that will join the gable walls and provide a surface to attach your roof
Ridge Log: One log which sits at the top, and joints the two gable walls.
To fell the trees, use your axe to cut them in the direction that they are naturally leaning. Briefly, the best way to fell trees is to make a horizontal cut 1/3 of the way into the tree just above knee height. Next, make a 45 degree cut upwards to meet the end of the first cut. Then, make a cut on the opposite side, around 2 inches above the first cut. The tree should then start falling. Once you have all your logs, cut off all the branches, and debark them using your axe or knife at a 30 degree angle.
Usually when building a log cabin shelter, you’ll want to lay foundations however it’s unlikely you’ll have access to all the heavy machinery and concrete in TEOTWAWKI scenario. Therefore, to prepare your site will be simple. You should clear any debris and leaves away, and level the ground as much as you can. You will need some form of foundation, so without access to concrete, you should do this: bury four upright logs into the ground, leaving around 3-4 inches sticking out of the ground. You will use these as posts to put your sill logs on.
Step Three: Raising the Walls
The first step in raising you walls is to put your four sill logs into place. These logs should be the four that are largest in diameter, straightest and longest. First, you need to take two of them. Use your axe to create a notch (hole) at either end of two sill logs.
To create this type of ‘reverse-saddle-notch’, put your log into the place it will eventually sit (on top of two of the horizontal posts that are buried into the group). Take your knife and mark where the log is going to sit. Using your axe, make a V shape in the underneath side of the log until the notch is large enough to create a snug fit around the horizontal post. Do this at both ends of two sill logs.
Take your other two sill logs, and notch the underside of them to fit onto the top of the two sill logs you’ve already laid. You will now have the perimeter of your log cabin. The rest of the process is simple, but time consuming. This could take you a couple of weeks depending on how much help you have. You are going to continue notching the underside of each log and stacking the walls until you have the height that you want before you start creating the pitched roof.
Step Four: Windows and Doors
To create the openings for your doors and windows, you can use your axe to create a hole. When you reach the height that you want your window or door at, start cutting and removing the logs one by one to make space for a door.
There are lots of tutorials about how to make doors and windows available. Just make sure that you have thought this through, so you’re not left with large open gaps which can get very drafty and will defeat the point of having shelter unless you’re able to cover them effectively.
One such way to make doors is to keep hold of some of the thicker branches when you fell your logs, and use rope or other natural resources such as fibrous plants to tie them together. You might also want to do this for the windows so that you can replace them during the night/when the weather is cooler.
Keep openings to an absolute minimum.
Step Five: Raising the Roof
The shelter is now almost finished, but this is definitely the heaviest and hardest stages of the entire build. You’ll need some good brute strength here. You’re now going to create to triangles on two opposite walls; these will form your gable walls. Continue building the logs up, gradually getting short in length using the same notching method. When you are half way up, you need to take the two purlin logs and notch them so that they connect the two gable walls, one either side of the triangular shape you’re creating.
Carry on building the two gable walls until you reach the tip of the triangle, and then use the large ridge log to connect the gable walls. This can be extremely heavy work depending on the size of the logs, and how much help you have.
Once your ridge log is in place, use some smaller diameter logs to lay over the ridge logs, purlin logs, and the top of the walls, onto which you can attach roof rafters. You might want to use branches, leaves and mulch to create your roof’s finish.
You Survival Shelter
And there you have it – a long lasting survival shelter than will keep you safe, warm and dry. The instances in which you might need to build a structure of this quality and stability are rare, but as mentioned earlier, rather plan for all eventualities, than end up in a situation of needing a permanent structure and not knowing how to create one.
The beauty of this structure is that trees are available in almost every area of the world, they are one of the most reliable building resources and so if you learn this simple technique, you’ll be able to build yourself a shelter wherever you are.

Shining Live Basic UI Guide
(( hey there !! for all that don’t know me i’m ami and i’ve been deep in this fandom for several years now. since i play a lot of idol games the ui for shining live is pretty standard-ish for me so i thought i’d give my kinda take to explain the ui to the best of my ability until something better comes out !! disclaimer: i know EXTREMELY limited japanese so most of this is my attempt at this. so with that out of the way let’s go !! ))
to start everything off we’re at the home screen. the bar at the bottom is your main navigation to go from home screen to story and so on, but we’ll cover each section later on.
underneath the box which shows what your chosen idol is saying are as follows: your giftbox, the news tab, your friends, and missions.
giftbox: pretty standard. this is where things such as login bonuses and live rewards will go and can be picked up from !!
news tab: basically anything that’s new and happening with the app.
friends: this is where your friends list will be along with your received requests, sent requests, and where you can search for people via id and whatnot.
missions: this is where missions can be listed. completing these missions will reward you with a set number of scouting gems.
here is a basic look at the friends section. there are four tabs at the very top. when you first click on the button for friends your friends list will be the first to display. the tab next to your friends list is the requests you have received from other players. sent requests is where you can view the requests you have sent to other members. the final tab is where you can search for other players using 2 specific methods. the top bar my guess is by nickname but i am not certain. the 2nd search option is by ID. this is where you can search for your friends using their game id. below will include your nickname and then your id.
this is the page for the stories. it is pretty straightforward as each form of story has a what it is underneath in english but here is basic info for each section.
main story: this is where the main story is which by completing you can unlock songs. a story chapter is unlocked by story tickets which can be obtained via leveling up. each story you view gives you 5 gems.
side story: these are stories you unlock by filling out your idols’ memorial boards on their cards (more to be explained later on). each story you view gives you 5 gems.
event story: most likely stories for events. currently no events thus no event stories.
next up is the idol menu. here you can view the different idols. you can do various things such as change costumes, change partners, and so on.
This is the general layout for each idol. the top bars switch from this layout to their general character profile.
costumes: this is where you can change your idol’s costumes. costumes can be unlocked from filling out the memorial boards for the idols. (again explained later)
portraits: portraits of your idols unlocked from completing specific side stories for each card.
backgrounds: change the overall background for the game. can be unlocked through stories.
bonds: your idol’s bond with other idols increased via them performing on the same team.
set as partner: set the idol as your partner. will appear on main screen.
here we have the songs. you can play songs you have unlocked on one of the 4 different difficulties and gain gems for scouting upon either getting a specific score, getting a specific combo, or completing the songs a certain number of times.
the other tab is your general “b-sides” songs. here you can play these songs for specific “tokens” used for idolizing your cards. the songs here have a limited mount of time available and can be seen underneath. currently Shining Romance and FORCE LIVE are available for 32 more days. the 3rd song cycles out every day.
here we have the place where you scout. the tabs above allow you to filter between different kinds of scouting. currently the other tab is only capable of being scouted with PAID gems. so if you’ve bought gems you can make do with this. it is pretty straightforward for most idol games. here the scouts can give you anywhere from rare to ultra rare cards. it is most recommended to wait to scout for 11 as you receive at least one guaranteed sr or above.
note: if you are playing this for the very first time and have your guaranteed ur ticket there will be a 3rd tab where you can proceed to use your ticket in order to receive your guaranteed ur. mine isn’t here as i’ve already received mine.
here is the general menu for lessons.
teams/live members: this is where you can create your teams to be used for playing the songs. you can have up to 6 teams.
lessons: this is where you level up your cards. you can use exp orbs dropped after live performances and available in certain purchased packages or you can use other cards.
special lessons: this is where you can use duplicates of two of the same card together to essentially “limit break” them. similar to other idol games.
memorial board: this is where you can use the moon/sun/star tokens to strengthen, idolize, and unlock things such as stories/costumes/quotes with your cards.
bromide: basically the collection of cards you own.
medal shop/exchange: here you can sell your cards for special coins/medals. chich can be used to unlock backgrounds, tokens for your memorial boards, and other coins/medals.
here is the basic look at the teams/live members menu. you can have up to 6 teams that you can cycle through. the menu with the pen on it is where you can change the name of your teams for better organization. the yellow button is what you press to set a specific team as your main team. the white button is to auto build team.
upon clicking it there will be a set of buttons. on the left it will have you choose from auto building a team based on either balanced, dance, vocal, or act.
the other half will allow you to filter specific cards for that team such as only wanting act cards for your team rather than building a team that includes dance and vocal cards as well.
here is the basic layout of the lessons menu. you will select a member and from this menu you can choose to use either cards you have or exp/skill orbs to level up your card’s level or its skill level. unfortunately for this screenshot i do not have any exp or skill orbs to show. press the red button to confirm your choice for the lesson and white is to cancel.
the special lessons can only be used with duplicates of each card. as i currently do not have any there is not much to show aside from a blank screen. it is pretty straightforward though. it will provide you with the cards you have duplicates of. select one and then you will be prompted to select the other(s). you can confirm and there will be a little number next to them to show if they’ve performed a special lesson or not. in my screenshot for the lessons menu you can see an otoya, a masato, a tokiya, a syo, and a reiji card each that have performed one special lesson each.
here is a look at the memorial board. just as with the lessons menu you can choose any of your cards in order to enter the memorial board to fill out using either the moon, the sun, or the star tokens to unlock side stories, costumes, quotes, and to idolize your cards. this can also increase the strength of your cards as well. if you do not have enough tokens you can choose to use your gems in order to unlock things,
a special note: for quick gems for scouting fill out your memorial boards with all of your normal cards you received from the tutorial. they each have one story and by viewing each story you can get 5 gems for each boy.
here is the bromide(?) menu. here you can view the cards you own. it is pretty straightforward.
here is the medal/token exchange. here you can sell your cards for specific medals/tokens. red is confirm and the white next to it is to cancel. clicking the button underneath the medals/tokens will bring you to this menu.
here is where you can use your tokens/medals to exchange for various items such as better tokens/medals, tokens for your memorial board, and backgrounds.
and finally we have the menu.
album: album of all the cards. you can only look at the ones you own.
shop: where you can purchase gems, lp, and extra member slots.
medal exchange: covered above
inventory: where you can check the gems, tokens, tickets, etc that you have.
profile: where you can view and edit your profile.
settings: general settings such as bgm volume and voice volume
live settings: where you can change things for the lives such as speed of notes and calibration.
help: general help
data transfer: where you can choose to connect your account to twitter ids/etc in case of wanting to change phones or as general back-up so you do not lose your account.
websites(?): provides links to the utapri website, shining live website, and shining live twitter.
terms of service(?): i assume terms of service.
??: generally do not know. if anyone knows feel free to tell me and i will fix this.

Tsukino Paradise: Quick FAQ
Mod mayu here! I’m just as excited for Tsukipara as everybody else is, but unfortunately I’m super busy today and won’t be able to answer all asks properly, so here’s a quick FAQ for starters! (I’ll update this as I play, too)
■ How big is the app? The App Store says it’s 178 MB, but upon completing the tutorial it seems to be more around 651 MB.
■ Do pre-reg users receive special items? / How do we receive the campaign items? The 150 Tsukino Jewels and 2 Special Gasha tickets should be in your present box as soon as the tutorial is finished! It is available for all players to receive.
■ How does the transfer ID system work? To issue your ID, you hit the first button on the bottom of the startup page (機㮔変更/Change Devices), and then the second button on the following page (引継ぎID発行/Issue Transfer ID). A message will appear saying that issuing an ID and password will help to back up your data, hit the yellow confirm button to continue. It will then generate an ID for you, and you may enter a password of your own choice. Hit the yellow issue button to finish, and the green copy button will copy your information to your device’s clipboard, so you may save it in a note.
■ How do I transfer my account? To transfer your account, you enter your ID and password when you hit “引継ぎID入力”/“Input Transfer ID,” the first button you see when you select “機㮔変更/Change Devices” on the title screen.
※ Please note that Tsukino Jewels will not carry over when switching OS devices. ※ IDs and passwords are a one-time use only! If you transfer, please make sure to generate a new one as soon as you can.
■ What do the lenses do? When at a character’s room in the dorm, the lenses allow you to see a mini-events. Typically, the intimacy of the character will also be raised a bit, but sometimes if there’s two characters in the same room and there’s no significant interaction, it won’t affect the intimacy.
■ What are the little character cards that you get from clearing a song 10 times? They are “invitation cards” that you can give to characters in the dorms - it calls over the character on the card and there is a chance that you may get a special communication event.
■ How do I use invitation/action cards? The 行動カード (action card) can be found when you are in an individual character’s room, and select the アイテム (item) icon. The game default shows コミュニケーション (communication) items first; use the little circular arrow icon at the bottom to get to 行動カード (action card). (The second set of items are the お部屋招待アイテム/invitation items.) ※ For invitation items, you can only invite characters that are present in the dorms.
■ What can we do with extra copies of cards? / I have multiple copies of a card, but I only see one in my card list, where are the others? If you have any extra copies, they automatically stack and add onto the card’s “oshare,” which will increase chances of unlocking more rewards after lives.
■ How do I awaken a card? To awaken a card, you need to complete the card's Tsukino Board. The card's level does not have to be maxed. ※ You can only awaken 4☆ cards. Completing the boards for cards of lower rarity will give you jewels and will add one level to the character's talent rank.
■ How do I change my home screen? Please refer to this post!
■ What is the “おねだり” (request) feature? In the dorms, the “request” feature is when the characters ask for a specific item that can be obtained from live drops. In the player menu, the “request” page is for players to request and give birthstones (used for increasing card stats) to each other. ※ The stones you give to other players will come out of your own inventory
■ How do I get more birthstones? Stones of all sizes will drop from lives, though the sizes and rates vary. The アミューズメント施設 (amusement facility) area has an upped stone drop rate of 1.5%, so playing lives in that area will increase your chances of obtaining more. Alternatively, you could use the “request” feature in the previous point! There is also the possibility of getting some from the empty rooms of members who are on an outing: If the room is sparkling, you can tap it and either Kuroda or Shiroda will clean it, giving you random stones. (There’s also the chance of getting jewels from it, too!)
■ How do I get more [month] [size] stones from lives? Specific stones will drop from specific songs and difficulties. For months, it depends on the song - songs will drop the stones corresponding to the birth months of the members performing. For sizes, smaller sizes are more likely to drop from easy and normal modes, while larger sizes are more likely to drop from hard and expert modes. Your score and chain will also affect what drops, as C-score/chain will result in smaller sizes, and S-score/full chain will result in larger sizes. Example: L January stones are more likely to be obtained if you S-score and full chain Hajime/Haru duets on hard or expert mode. They may also drop on Six Gravity unit songs, SolidS songs, and TSUKICRO songs, but to a lesser extent due to there being more members performing the song.
■ What exactly are the birthstones and what do they do? As explained in the game’s tutorial, the stones are used in the Tsukino Board to increase the stats of cards.
■ Does the game allow reroll accounts? It doesn’t seem like there’s any restriction on making reroll accounts, so it should be fine. (I’ve actually done 3 rerolls til I was satisfied www)
■ Is there any way to get any more Special Gasha tickets? As of right now, the tickets seem to be campaign-exclusive, meaning that players will only receive the two when they start the game.
■ Is there a guaranteed 4☆ from the first scout? / Can you get any 4☆ from the bunny gacha? Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that you will get a 4☆ from your first scout. Additionally, the bunny gacha only has the bunny cards. Because they are all 3☆, there is the possibility of getting them in your jewel scouts as well.
■ How do I increase my chances of getting a 4☆? / I haven’t gotten any 4☆ from my pulls, can I change this? Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed 4☆ from any of the pulls. Everything is based off of the game’s random number generator, and there really isn’t anything that can be done to up the chances of receiving a 4☆ other than doing 10 pulls rather than 6 pulls.
■ Sometimes my audio is a little delayed, is there any way to fix this? I have experienced this issue with voice clips, but it seems like it’s because the clips are downloaded as you receive them.
■ Is there any way to turn off the voices in the dramas? As of right now, there isn’t - which is probably because the dramas aren’t fully voiced and it’s only clips. If you want to clear out some space, you can hit the データ修復 (data restoration) button in the top left corner of the title screen. It’s basically a “cache clear” option, and will erase image and voice data (your player data will not be affected). ※ Note that the data will eventually be redownloaded as you continue playing.
■ An error is popping up when trying to refill the AP bar, is there any way to fix this? Please refer to these posts!
■ I can’t complete the tutorial because something isn’t working properly, what can I do? Restarting the app is probably the best bet. The game is still not perfect, and there’s still a few bugs and glitches here and there even during the tutorials.
■ How do I make my teams stronger without any 4☆? / Do you need a 4☆ for a good team? Having any amount of 4☆s does not automatically make your teams stronger. If you do not level them or raise their stats in the Tsukino Board, they will be just as weak as a 3☆. You can definitely create a strong team of only 3☆s and even 2☆s if you continuously play with them to max their levels and stats.
■ The game tends to lag and makes lives hard to play, any idea how to fix this? The most we can recommend is turning off the live effects and skill cut-ins, which can be found in the settings menu. The effects are the second to last option, and to turn them off you would select the leftmost option. Same with the skill cut-ins, just hit the “off” button to disable those. If you are still experiencing issues, perhaps try freeing up some space on your device.
■ Can you play the game from multiple devices? Unfortunately, no. The most you can do is only have your account on multiple devices, but authorization errors will continually appear if you try to do anything. It is best to keep your game on one device.

[2/2] Enstars: Gamegift interview with Mika’s voice actor
Published on 28 April 2017. It’s to celebrate Enstars second anniversary.
Please note that Gamegift does not allow reproduction or repost of this article without permission.
Previously there’s also an interview with Kuro’s voice actor, Shinichirou Kamio, translated by Creampuffs (tumblr)
Part 1 is here.
Writer/Interviewer: Tamao (Twitter)
Gamegift link
Guide to Enstars, Jun Oosuka style
Tamao: By the way, how active are you in the events?
Oosuka: I’ve pretty much unlocked all stories from events after Mika-kun joined. End of the Marionette’s Strings is grouped into first half of 2016, so I’m good with everything from second half of 2016. But, there are scout stories that I haven’t unlocked yet.
Tamao: So you unlock everything, even stories that don’t have Mika in them.
Oosuka: I can unlock event stories as long as I play the event regularly after all. I guess it’s also because I want to stock up diamonds.
Tamao: You’re very thorough in collecting them.
Oosuka: I guess I am. Every Event Produce lesson can get you 7 diamonds*. That’s part of the reason why I run through them.
[*I think this should have been 6.]
Tamao: So you basically complete all the Produce Lessons.
Oosuka: Even the regular Produce – I’ve collected all the trophies up to 100% except 3-B. Oh, I haven’t done Switch Lessons yet. Before, in Mika’s event, the number of diamonds I had went down to 2 digits, so I thought the first thing I should do is to complete those normal and special scenarios. But the bonuses for the early lessons were voice clips, right? I was like, yes! I’m getting the diamonds! But it turned out to be voice clips. “Ah, it was voice clip…” That kind of thing (laugh).
Tamao: [Getting the voice clips] still makes you happy, but of course you wanted the diamonds too.
Oosuka: Even so, I got to complete quite a lot of them, so I managed to recover the number of diamonds quickly.
Tamao: Are you not putting any money into the game?
Oosuka: Nope, I’m f2p.
Tamao: Oooh…! Maybe we can hear something that can be useful for the players out there.
Oosuka: Previously, I mentioned I was an f2p in an event and that creeped the audience out (laugh). It’s like they’re thinking, “What are you talking about?” “You’ve gotta be kidding.” But I really haven’t spent any money playing this game.
Tamao: So you go through the game without cutting corners, farm all the diamonds without any useless effort.
Oosuka: That’s right. First, we get diamonds daily as login bonus, so in a month we can get 30 diamonds, right? I’d use one or two-thirds of that for events. But there are two events in a month, so I have to choose whether or not I use those 10 diamonds in a particular event. In the end, I can get more than I use.
Tamao: Aah, I see. That’s how you stock up the diamonds. But a female player who doesn’t normally play games that much may think, “You would go that far, huh…” I’m one of those female players (laugh).
Oosuka: I think there are people who consider what I’m doing is a matter of course, even more than I imagine. But I also think that’s not the case. I think I’m different from those who put money into the game in a timely manner.
Tamao: When I interviewed Kamio-san (Kuro’s VA, Shin’ichiro Kamio) and gathered feedback, there was an overwhelming proportion of people whose playing style was “I want to stay f2p as much as possible.” Accordingly, a lot of people said they wanted to hear Oosuka-san’s story.
Oosuka: I only realized that maxed 3* cards can be useful after I read that interview with Kamio-san. I just started to level them up after all this time.
Tamao: It’s hard to realize that sort of thing when you play alone, and other players out there seem to agree on that point. You get stuck when there is no one around you who knows the way around it.
Oosuka: Kamio-san said, “You can see the nodes on Idol Road, so before you power up the cards, you use a calculator and decide if you can use the card.” At that point, I understood that oh, this person is a serious one! I was surprised (laugh).
Tamao: But your line of thinking leans towards that, doesn’t it?
Oosuka: After events end, I level up my duplicate copies of 3*s to maximum. After that, I store them into the album right away.
Tamao: By the way, how do your units look like?
Oosuka: My Live Units look like this. My Dance, Vocal, and Performance units are all over 300k now, so I can clear everything with 3LP, except the Emergency Live. Also, I just can’t clear the second half Live with 3LP.
Oosuka: My strongest team is Vocal, but there’s room for improvement.
Tamao: When forming the Live Units, I’d leave it to the “Recommended Formation” button. How do you organize your teams?
Oosuka: I’d always tap the “Recommended Formation” button first. Then, I’d make sure to have the Unit Skills activated. Especially in my Vocal team, I’d activate the Handicrafts Club skill.
When Tsumugi-kun, Oshi-san, and Mika-kun are lined up, I get bonus 10% Vocal, and it makes a pretty big difference. When the Handicrafts Club had only two people, it was 5% if I remember correctly. So 10% is quite an increase! For Performance, Valkyrie skill gives 5% bonus, so I also make sure to activate it. Other than that, there’s Shinobu-kun’s Ninja Association, which gives 2% bonus of Performance stat. And 2% from Game Research Club*, and so on.
[*Pretty sure this should be 5%.]
Tamao: It’s always better to have Unit Skills activated, isn’t it?
Oosuka: What I want to do one day is to make Tsumugi-kun a leader, then include the two from Valkyrie and the rest of Switch. If I do that, Handicrafts Club and Switch skills should activate, I think…? When Tsumugi-kun appeared with his first 4*, I thought, “I must have it!” With just Oshi-san and Mika-kun, I could no longer activate Handicrafts Club skill after all.
Tamao: In the current rotation, we still don’t have Tsumugi’s high rarity cards (The interview was held in February 2017). The players are standing by.
Oosuka: In this round, Tetora-kun’s 5* finally appeared, huh? When Tsumugi-kun comes, I wonder if it’ll be about Switch? Or maybe the library committee?
Tamao: In the past, the student council’s vice president was part of the library committee, wasn’t he?
Oosuka: Then the ranking for that will probably be crazy.
Tamao: What is your playing style? Do you play a lot even when an event is not on?
Oosuka: The only time I play regularly is pretty much during the events. Also, I basically don’t scout for limited gacha. Not even solo.
Tamao: Do you not use those special cards in the events?
Oosuka: I don’t need them. In Halloween event, I had around 900 diamonds saved up. At that time, I looked up the ranking borders from previous events. Valkyrie ranking was an unknown territory, so I thought it’s dangerous to blow up 145 diamonds for scouting. Even if my teams could become stronger with the 5*s or 4*s, I decided it’s better to use those 145 diamonds to recover LP. At the end of the event, I only had 23 diamonds left, so if I had scouted I wouldn’t have been able to make it.
Tamao: Do you still keep your play style not to scout?
Oosuka: Yes. I’ve sometimes thought of pulling a solo, but if Mika-kun appears, I wouldn’t be able to scout. I don’t want that to happen… I want to save it for emergency. Even if I say emergency, I get uneasy if I save just enough for one 10-roll, so I want to save enough so I can do 10-rolls twice or thrice. Other than that, I’ll always without fail complete all Event Produce lessons to 100%. I’m f2p, so I’d have to choose when to use the diamonds. If I just need another LP to clear a live, I’d use a diamond. Also, I’d get those Lives up to level 30 as fast as I can. After that, I’d go for the Daily Produce lessons.
Tamao: Do you play the Daily lessons during events?
Oosuka: Those Live Requests appear even in Daily lessons, so I’d do them as much as I can since I want to farm the jewels. They may consume more AP but they give more experience points than Event Produce lessons. Of course, more Live Requests appear in Event Produce compared to regular Produce, so every time a Live appears I would have to use the diamonds. When you’re an f2p, that’s the hard part. It’ll make you want to raise your Rank, and you’d want more jewels. That’s where Daily Produce lessons come to play.
Sunday is a “quest” for experience points, so my strategy, for Sundays especially, is to “eat bread”. I’d first go through Produce lessons and rank up. Then I’d continue until my AP runs out, then I eat the bread and my AP replenishes to 200. When there are some 100 experience points left, I’d do a Daily lesson to rank up. When I rank up, my LP recovers, so before that happens if I’m lucky Live requests appear in those Daily Produce runs. If no Live appears, I’d do the Event Produce and clear one Live. Then I should have 2LP left, and if I carry that along and rank up, with the extra 5LP I would have 7LP. Then I can clear 2 Lives with 3LP each. If you do that, you can rank up 2-3 levels non-stop even if your Rank is already high.
Tamao: I see… What do you do with your Producer Points?
Oosuka: I only use it to level up [the cards].
Tamao: So this is where Oosuka-style and Kamio-style* differ.
[*Gamegift note: Kamio-san uses them to scout.]
Oosuka: Personally, I’m fine with just the 3*s I get from the events. Even if you scout in the points gacha aiming to bulk your teams up, the 4* pull rate is extremely low. That’s why I think diamond scout is better, so I use all those points to level up [the cards] instead. Conversely, once you level them up, it’s easier to predict their stats to a degree. According to Kamio-san’s method, it’s okay as long as you strengthen the cards that have maxed number of copies, so it’s the matter of how many duplicates you have. I do want the cards just for the sake of completion though…
Tamao: How do your Produce Units look like?
Oosuka: My Produce Units are pretty much fixed. We can now have four teams, so the first one looks like this.
Oosuka: With stats like this, there’s no way I’d fail in Lessons. I don’t want to fail just because I want to level up new cards, so I thought it’s better to level them up with points. When I play regularly, this is what I usually use. One thing though. Produce missions sometimes tell you to get 250 jewel fragments, right? I formed units to specialize in that. My second unit is for yellow.
This Midori-kun should also make medium yellow jewels drop more easily. The third one is for blue jewels.
The fourth is for red jewels.
The red jewel team has another role. If I remember correctly this Mika-kun card has the skill to raise FEVER, so I also use this team to activate FEVER twice. They pretty much became troops solely to farm jewels. But, there’s also a disadvantage to this. I just can’t get a lot of big jewels.
Tamao: I see. To clear the missions, you formed units accordingly. Gathering 250 fragments is a pretty bothersome task after all.
Oosuka: That’s why I made teams for regular use and for every color. That alone makes quite a big difference.
Tamao: It’s not rare to do those Lessons with regular units and miss clearing the missions by a hair.
Oosuka: Another trick is to also activate FEVER twice as you do it. For example, you can finish a Lesson during FEVER, then you get that FEVER boost when you start the next one. One more thing is to pay attention to the color of each Location. When you tap the Yellow area with Yellow unit you can get more jewels, right? I could get 500 [fragments] with that. If you do all this, you can complete all missions in one go. When I have certain jewels I want, I’d also use these teams to do Daily Lessons. During events, Live requests appear in these Lessons too after all.
Even if you do nothing but grind diamonds and actively participate in the event, in the end what you want is jewels. It’s better not to run out of both diamonds and jewels, but you do use them up. Also, I used to have my own rule: “The maximum number of diamonds I’ll use to replenish LP is 3.” I have a definite reason behind this. LP recovers every 30 minutes, right? When all LP recovers, the timer resets.
Tamao: Oh, I see. Good management is important for this kind of thing, isn’t it?
Oosuka: I think there are people who believe that the most important thing is to grind lots of diamonds. But if you go on and on, you would have to replenish even AP with diamonds. In that mean time, you should have spent a good 30 minutes. That means in that 30 minutes, you should be able to get one LP naturally, and it’s important to always make some room for that. Other than that, as I mentioned, breads are important for ranking up on Sundays.
Tamao: Everyone should treasure that one LP = 30 minutes isn’t it…
Oosuka: Don’t you think what we’ve talked so far is a matter of course to people out there? (laugh)
Tamao: No, I don’t think that’s the case. Beginners and those who don’t know anyone around them who also plays the game would find these things hard to realize. I think there are a lot of people who would use diamonds because they can’t be bothered. I’m one of them.
Oosuka: I always aim for efficiency in other games, just like this. Oh, I also have a rule to keep the event diamonds in the Present Box. I feel like I’m going to use up any diamond I have in hand.
Tamao: I know that feeling (laugh).
Oosuka: Yes, you would really use them. So it’s a safe. It’s just like when you put money in your wallet. You’ll end up using it (laugh). I can only keep them for a month, so after events end I’d retrieve them. When I do that I can feel, yes! I have more diamonds than the start of the event.
Tamao: (Tamao looks at Oosuka-san’s Present Box) You don’t have any sport drinks or anything like that.
Oosuka: I retrieve those all the time. I use up all sports drinks during events. Generally, my goal is to get up to the backgrounds, and I find it difficult to reach without using them. In Live requests, I use them for Emergency Lives. When I run out, I stop challenging Emergency Lives. But I use konpeito I get in the beginning to adjust the LP, since it can recover one LP at a time.
Tamao: Kamio-san also said he’d ignore Emergency Lives when he doesn’t have any sports drinks left. I see. This has become a really useful reference.
The Custom(?!): Scouting Contest!!
(Paraphrased) Just like previously in the interview with Kamio, Tamao and Oosuka will battle out their luck on limited scouting. This time, they’re pulling a 10-roll from The Four Fighting Beasts that focused on karate club members, and both of them had 4* guarantee. Oosuka’s phone is the green one, and Tamao’s is the white one. And the results are…!
Tamao: Oosuka-san got 5* Tetora-kun on his first pull!!! Tamao pulled an initial 4* Kuro-san, but he’s still from the karate club!!
Tamao: A spontaneous victory pose from Oosuka-san. But that’s not all!!
Tamao: Oosuka-san pulled 4* Kuro-san as well!! What is this godly pull…!?
Tamao: Well, who wouldn’t smile like this when something similar happens to them! Therefore, the winner of this contest goes to Oosuka-san. He won by a wide margin.
Behind the scenes:
1. Oosuka used the white board to write down today’s words of wisdom: “Eat bread!!”
2. Oosuka saw the banner from Kamio’s interview, where Kamio posed to make up the word “Stars!”, or “スターズ!” and Oosuka said he wanted to do it too. The picture is the pillbug pose, used for the dots on ス and the exclamation mark. (Image link)
Lastly, there were 3 shikishi giveaways, signed by Oosuka. Unfortunately the last day to enter was on May 18th… (I’m sorry I’m always late about these things.) Here are the messages on each shikishi.
1. Be careful! Of the number of diamonds you have left, of your mobile data. [Sukawo]
2. I scouted 10 times using diamonds others gave me. I got a 5*♡. Take good care of your diamonds. [Sukawo]
3. Please give me medium jewels!! If possible, red and yellow. Please. [Sukawo]
Final TL note: I didn’t include all the pictures, so please check out the original Gamegift link for more Oosuka goodness! And Tamao seems eager to interview more Enstars voice actors, so yay Tamao!

Understand who the homeless are - Help dispel the stereotypes about the homeless. Learn about the different reasons for homelessness, and remember, every situation is unique.
Educate yourself about the homeless - A homeless person may be someone who lost their job, a runaway child, or someone with a mental illness. One of the first steps in helping people is to see them as individuals and to find out what they need. Notice them; talk to them. Most are starved for attention.
Respect the homeless as individuals - Give the homeless people the same courtesy and respect you would accord your friends, your family, your employer. Treat them as you would wish to be treated if you needed assistance.
Respond with kindness - We can make quite a difference in the lives of the homeless when we respond to them, rather than ignore or dismiss them. Try a kind word and a smile.
Develop lists of shelters - Carry a card that lists local shelters so you can hand them out to the homeless. You can find shelters in your phone book.
Buy Street Sheet - This biweekly newspaper is sold in almost every major American city and is intended to help the homeless help themselves. For every paper sold, the homeless earn five cents deposited in a special savings account earmarked for rent.
Bring food - It's as simple as taking a few extra sandwiches when you go out. When you pass someone who asks for change, offer him or her something to eat. If you take a lunch, pack a little extra. When you eat at a restaurant, order something to take with you when you leave.
Give money - One of the most direct ways to aid the homeless is to give money. Donations to nonprofit organizations that serve the homeless go a long way.
Give recyclables - In localities where there is a "bottle law," collecting recyclable cans and bottles is often the only "job" available to the homeless. But it is an honest job that requires initiative. You can help by saving your recyclable bottles, cans, and newspapers and giving them to the homeless instead of taking them to a recycling center or leaving them out for collection. If you live in a larger city, you may wish to leave your recyclables outside for the homeless to pick up -- or give a bagful of cans to a homeless person in your neighborhood.
Donate clothing - Next time you do your spring or fall cleaning, keep an eye out for those clothes that you no longer wear. If these items are in good shape, gather them together and donate them to organizations that provide housing for the homeless.
Donate a bag of groceries - Load up a bag full of nonperishable groceries, and donate it to a food drive in your area. If your community doesn't have a food drive, organize one. Contact your local soup kitchens, shelters, and homeless societies and ask what kind of food donations they would like.
Donate toys - Children living in shelters have few possessions --if any-- including toys. Homeless parents have more urgent demands on what little money they have, such as food and clothing. So often these children have nothing to play with and little to occupy their time. You can donate toys, books, and games to family shelters to distribute to homeless children. For Christmas or Chanukah, ask your friends and co-workers to buy and wrap gifts for homeless children.
Volunteer at a shelter - Shelters thrive on the work of volunteers, from those who sign people in, to those who serve meals, to others who counsel the homeless on where to get social services. For the homeless, a shelter can be as little as a place to sleep out of the rain or as much as a step forward to self-sufficiency.
Volunteer at a soup kitchen - Soup kitchens provide one of the basics of life, nourishing meals for the homeless and other disadvantaged members of the community. Volunteers generally do much of the work, including picking up donations of food, preparing meals, serving it, and cleaning up afterward. To volunteer your services, contact you local soup kitchen, mobile food program, shelter, or religious center.
Volunteer your professional services - No matter what you do for a living, you can help the homeless with your on-the-job talents and skills. Those with clerical skills can train those with little skills. Doctors, psychiatrists, counselors, and dentists can treat the homeless in clinics. Lawyers can help with legal concerns. The homeless' needs are bountiful -- your time and talent won't be wasted.
Volunteer your hobbies - Every one of us has something we can give the homeless. Wherever our interests may lie -- cooking, repairing, gardening, and photography -- we can use them for the homeless. Through our hobbies, we can teach them useful skills, introduce them to new avocations and perhaps point them in a new direction.
Volunteer for follow-up programs - Some homeless people, particularly those who have been on the street for a while, may need help with fundamental tasks such as paying bills, balancing a household budget, or cleaning. Follow-up programs to give the formerly homeless further advice, counseling, and other services need volunteers.
Tutor homeless children - A tutor can make all the difference. Just having adult attention can spur children to do their best. Many programs exist in shelters, transitional housing programs, and schools that require interested volunteers. Or begin you own tutor volunteer corps at your local shelter. It takes nothing more than a little time.
Take homeless children on trips - Frequently, the only environment a homeless child knows is that of the street, shelters, or other transitory housing. Outside of school -- if they attend -- these children have little exposure to many of the simple pleasures that most kids have. Volunteer at your local family shelter to take children skating or to an aquarium on the weekend.
Volunteer at battered women's shelter - Most battered women are involved in relationships with abusive husbands or other family members. Lacking resources and afraid of being found by their abusers, many may have no recourse other than a shelter or life on the streets once they leave home. Volunteers handle shelter hotlines, pick up abused women and their children when they call, keep house, and offer counseling. Call your local shelter for battered women to see how you can help.
Teach about the homeless - If you do volunteer work with the homeless, you can become an enthusiast and extend your enthusiasm to others. You can infect others with your own sense of devotion by writing letters to the editor of your local paper and by pressing housing issues at election time.
Publish shelter information - Despite all of our efforts to spread the word about shelters, it is surprising how many people are unaware of their own local shelters. Contact your local newspapers, church or synagogue bulletins, or civic group's newsletters about the possibility of running a weekly or monthly listing of area services available to the homeless. This could include each organization's particular needs for volunteers, food, and other donations.
Educate your children about the homeless - Help your children to see the homeless as people. If you do volunteer work, take your sons and daughters along so they can meet with homeless people and see what can be done to help them. Volunteer as a family in a soup kitchen or shelter. Suggest that they sort through the toys, books, and clothes they no longer use and donate them to organizations that assist the poor.
Sign up your company/school - Ask your company or school to host fund-raising events, such as raffles or craft sales and donate the proceeds to nonprofit organizations that aid the homeless. You can also ask your company or school to match whatever funds you and your co-workers or friends can raise to help the homeless.
Recruit local business - One of the easiest ways to involve local businesses is to organize food and/or clothing drives. Contact local organizations to find out what is needed, approach local grocery or clothing shops about setting up containers on their premises in which people can drop off donations, ask local businesses to donate goods to the drive, and publicize the drive by placing announcements in local papers and on community bulletin boards and by posting signs and posters around your neighborhood.
Create lists of needed donations - Call all the organizations in your community that aid the homeless and ask them what supplies they need on a regular basis. Make a list for each organization, along with its address, telephone number, and the name of a contact person. Then mail these lists to community organizations that may wish to help with donations -- every place from religious centers to children's organizations such as Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Play with children in a shelter - Many children in shelters are cut off from others their own age. Shuffled from place to place, sometimes these kids don't attend school on a regular basis, and have no contact with other kids. Bring a little joy to their lives by taking your children to a local shelter to play. Plan activities such as coloring, playing with dolls, or building model cars (take along whatever toys you'll need). Your own children will benefit too.
Employ the homeless - Help Wanted - General Office Work. Welfare recipient, parolee, ex-addict OK. Good salary, benefits. Will train. That's the way Wildcat Service Corporations Supported Work Program invites the "unemployable" to learn to work and the program works! More than half the people who sign on find permanent, well-paying jobs, often in maintenance, construction, clerical, or security work.
Help the homeless apply for aid - Governmental aid is available for homeless people, but many may not know where to find it or how to apply. Since they don't have a mailing address, governmental agencies may not be able to reach them. You can help by directing the homeless to intermediaries, such as homeless organizations, that let them know what aid is available and help them to apply for it. If you want to be an advocate or intermediary for the homeless yourself, you can contact these organizations as well.
Stand up for the civil rights of the homeless - In recent elections, for example, volunteers at shelters and elsewhere helped homeless people register to vote . . . even though they had "no fixed address" at the moment. Some officials would not permit citizens without a permanent address to vote.
Join Habitat for Humanity - This Christian housing ministry builds houses for families in danger of becoming homeless. Volunteers from the community and Habitat homeowners erect the houses. Funding is through donations from churches, corporations, foundations, and individuals.
Form a transitional housing program - One of the most potent homeless-prevention services a community can offer residents who are in danger of eviction is a transitional housing program. These programs help people hang on to their current residences or assist them in finding more affordable ones. The methods include steering people to appropriate social service and community agencies, helping them move out of shelters, and providing funds for rent, mortgage payments, and utilities. For information, contact the Homelessness Information Exchange at (202) 462-7551.
Write to corporations - Some of the largest corporations in America have joined the battle for low-income housing. Through the use of the tax credit or by outright grants, they are participating with federal and state government, not-for-profit and community-based groups to build desperately needed housing in Chicago, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and dozens of other cities. Contact various organizations and ask them what they are doing.
Contact your government representatives - Our legislators rarely receive more than three visits or ten letters about any subject. When the numbers exceed that amount, they sit up and take note. Personal visits are the most potent. Letters are next; telephone calls are third best. Housing issues don't come up that often, so your public officials will listen.
Push for state homelessness prevention programs - While states routinely supply aid for the poor and homeless, many do not have programs provide funds and other services to those who will lose their homes in the immediate future unless something is done. Homelessness comes at great financial and human cost to the families who are evicted or foreclosed.

Normally, I am an exceptionally prepared person but when I decided to head up to Unity for the last day of the Common Ground Country Fair I jumped into the car on a whim and with no supplies. We had just celebrated the first day of fall but the temperatures were rebelling and heading up towards the 90s. A few basics like sunscreen and water would have been helpful, but fortunately it didn’t ruin my first experience at the Common Ground Country Fair.
The Common Ground Country Fair is a sponsored by the Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association (MOFGA) and celebrates organic agriculture and rural life. This scouting trip gave me a basic overview of the event and will help me be better prepared next time I head back for hopefully a longer visit.
Here are ten things I learned at the Common Ground Country Fair:
Come Prepared with Supplies. The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association website has comprehensive fair information with important tips on how to have a healthy visit to the fair. It’s on the main page. It’s clear and concise. I will review it before my next trip. At the top of my list for next year are a water bottle, sunscreen, and a baseball hat. Fortunately, there were many drinking water stations setup throughout the fair.
Bring a Reusable Shopping Bag. I keep a stack of reusable bags in my car so I always have them readily available. What I fail to do is take them out of the car to bring with me, so generally I arrive at my destination bag free. I realized I had repeated my long-standing tradition of forgetting them in my car only after going through the entrance gate to the fair. I contemplated heading back to get them, but my car wasn’t close and I had limited time. I made do with a brown paper shopping bag I got with my purchased rye flour although it was in tatters by the end. A combination of over filling it with purchases, and holding it with my sweaty hands, broke down the integrity of the bag and it had started to rip in a few places but fortunately I made it back to the car before a catastrophic breach.
Understand the Layout. With my limited time, I was still able to visit most areas of the fair, although I might have passed over a few spots too quickly. As you walk through the entrance, they were handing out copies of the Autumn issue of the Maine Organic Farmer & Gardner with comprehensive information on the fair along with a schedule of events so you can plan out your visit. Overall, the fairgrounds were laid out like a wheel with spokes and a large common area in the middle. It made it easy to navigate.
Bring a Good Camera. While my iPhone was serviceable, I saw many people with more elaborate cameras hanging from their necks. I understood why photographers would be drawn here after only a short time at the fair. Who doesn’t want pictures of adorable farm animals and delicious fresh veggies?
Attend Some Educational Sessions. My short three-hour visit was barely enough time to fully walk the fair and did not leave enough extra time to attend any of the educational sessions scheduled throughout the day. There was an extensive range of sessions lined up for each day, covering many interesting topics. On my next trip, I hope I can join a few sessions.
Take Cash & Small Bills. There were local vendors throughout the fair and ample shopping opportunities. With the advent of products like square it’s much easier to use credit cards at venues like this but, even so, there are always some smaller vendors that can only accept cash. You don’t want to miss out on that perfect souvenir.
Come Hungry. There were so many fun, interesting food vendors to choose from and I was a little sad that I was only there during one meal. I ended up with a slice of brick oven pizza and ice water. Bottle water is not sold at the fair. The food was diverse and not your typical fair selections although there was organic funnel cake. Sadly, I was too full to try it even though I always get funnel cake at a fair. It gives me another reason to head back again next year. I need to try that funnel cake.
Buy Tickets in Advance. Since this was a last-minute decision, I bought my ticket at the door which worked out fine but it was more expensive than buying them ahead of time. For this year’s fair, the cost was $15 at the door, or $10 in advance. Even better, join MOFGA and get free admission with your membership. Current membership rates are $40 for individuals and $60 for families.
Prepare for Cuteness Overload. Entering through the Rose Gate, the first area I wandered to was the livestock area. This expansive space showcased everything from bunnies to oxen. One especially relaxed pig was taking a nap in his water trough.
Plan for Traffic. Unity is a few hours from my home. It was an easy drive, mostly on the turnpike, but as you get closer to the fair it does start to get more congested. They’ve been running this fair for many years, so they were well setup and moving cars along incredibly efficiently. Even so, it was a bit slow going towards the end. It was congested as I was leaving too although at that point I was incredibly happy to be sitting in an air-conditioned car.
This was much too short a visit and impossible to truly see everything but it was a nice first exposure to the Common Ground Country Fair. It provided great incentive for me to head back again next year.

Can u advice me how to get prisms ? The pulls shoot cost a lot and collecting prisms is so hard in the game
I can do my best, but really my friend it comes down to just saving for 3-6 months, not solo yoloing, and spending wisely. I’ll copy paste what I’ve written before below, but you can maybe find more in my ‘prisms’ tag. I hope the person who asked about this the other day sees this as well, I dind’t have time to write a longer response then!
Theres no easy ‘get rich quick’ scheme when it comes to prisms, you really just have to get every small amount you can.
Tips to gain prisms:
Max special practice and max level your rares (20 prisms for full level plus 10 for their stories.) If you haven’d done this with your normal cards yet, max level them as well. It’s easier since you do not need to special practice them.
SSS all easy and normal songs. 9 prisms per song per difficulty, it really adds up. SSS hard songs as well if you can easily.
Prioritise prism rewards in collection events.
Minimise the amount of prisms you need to use during events by saving LP gifts jst are preciously as you do with prisms.
Even just from weekly missions, you get 40 prisms.
Watch the daily ads if you have an EN account. This is 5 prisms a day, so 1825 over a year, enough for 6.8 10+1′s.
Hate to be a killjoy, but do not let gachas be your entry into gambling.

10 Steps To Ace A Job Interview (NJEA)
As the snow starts to melt and the flowers begin to blossom, the calendar turns to one of the most exciting part of the school year. JOB HUNTING SEASON! This is the time of year when students preparing to leave college and begin the exciting process of meeting other school districts and learning all about the networking process. But, what types of things should be considered when attending your first job fair? Dress, Resume, and Conversations should of course be in the front of everyones playbook but there are several others that are equally important.
Here are 10 things that you might be thinking about as you prepare for your next job fair or interview. . . plus one very important bonus tip that I highly recommend you consider.
10 Things You Should Consider When Preparing For Your Next Job Fair
Prepare ... Prepare ... Prepare
When attending a job fair or interview, it can not be overstated enough. Prepare ahead of time for the big event. Make sure you have everything you need the night before.
Have your resume's prepped, proofed, and printed and put in a folder so they don't bend.
Make sure you have your clothes ready and pressed. If you are someone who has a habit of sweating, it might be best to take a second shirt with you.
Check out the schools ahead of time so you know who will be there and what positions they have available. You want to make sure you are going to be hitting the right schools for you early in the day.
Are your business cards in your jacket pocket so you can take them out at a minutes notice? They should be put in your pocket in just a way that when you reach in and extend your arm, it is properly presented to them so they read it. (it's a nice touch)
Dress For Success
There are several ways of saying "business casual" and "dress to impress." For many, you should dress for the job you want.
Be professional:
Make sure your shirt is clean and pressed. (be careful of what you have for breakfast)
Wear comfortable shoes... you will be on your feat all day.
Remember that you may be carrying a backpack or other item with your papers in it... don't over pack... if you need to run to your car to reload .... do it, rather than carry a heavy bag that will exhaust you during the day.
Nail Your Introduction
Your first 60 seconds with a potential employer is the most critical. You should have your game face on and be energetic, happy to be there, and overall, showing confidence.
Be prepared to answer some of the standard first questions:
How are you today?
Tell us a bit about yourself?
How are you enjoying the job fair today?
Did you travel far to get here?
How are things these days in ____(fill in your current school district)_____
You should have canned answers for all of these questions. These questions are to get you talking. Your answers should be designed to invite those across the table to answer questions. The quicker you can engage in conversation, the easier it will be for you to relax through the interview process.
It's also best in your into to quickly mention that you have expertise in something that the school is proud of or currently deploying with their staff. It will give them an opportunity to bring up additional questions for you to converse over.
Do Your Homework
As stated in the first section, you should go in with a handful of schools you WANT to interview for. Have them well scouted. Know who their Superintendents are and the names of their Human Resource staff and perhaps the principals. It is always a great first impression when you sit down with a recruiter and ask how Dr _____ is doing.
You should also have some basic facts about the school districts prepped ahead of time:
How many schools do they have?
How is their building grades broken down?
What is their mascot?
Are they a Google or Microsoft School? (read why under the next section)
Of course, during a job fair, you may find yourself sitting in front of a school that you had not prepared and that is totally fine. This is why you have Google and can always duck in a corner to do a quick search before approaching the table with resume in hand.
Quick Tip: If you are a job fair, have someone you can trust at home prepared to feed you some important info about a school district. It's easier to use THEM for the Google search rather than doing it quickly on your phone.
Be Strategic With Your Resume
Your paper resume should be one piece of paper. I'm not a big fan of saying that it should be only one page. If you have a rather lengthy list of accomplishment, you should absolutely tout them.
Your resume should be engaging and entertaining, but it should also be something that invites questions about your history and experiences. A resume is simply a list of conversation starters. Plan your list as if it was the most important document you have ever created, but also create it as a story that your reader will use to flow through a conversation.
Think About Your Online Presence
While speaking at a local University, I once had a student tell me that their professor strongly suggested that they delete their Facebook page before they applied for future employment. I was a bit shocked at that suggestion and while I didn't know the student, nor know what was on their Facebook page, I highly recommended that the students not follow that advice.
Your online presence is vital these days as you apply for a job. Every employer is going to Google Search your name and background. Rather than telling students that they should be deleting their profiles, it is important that we teach students how to create positive online profiles.
The idea of having a paper resume combined with a strong website that goes above and beyond the information found on a single sheet of paper is what will give you the edge over another. Your resume, as stated above should be created in a way that brings on a positive conversation about your experiences. Your website is where you take those experiences and show case them using rich media such as videos, or photo galleries.
There are many things that should be considered when creating your online resume:
What have you done with your students?
What types of projects have you worked on that you can showcase and talk about?
How are you showing that you are an expert in your field?
What have others said about you online?
Let's take a look at that last one for a moment. It's very easy to ask someone to draft a letter of recognition when looking for a job. However, to have someone go on LinkedIn or other social feeds and say something wonderful is another because there is total transparency in who said it, and what is being said. I would put much more into a LinkedIn reference than any paper letter of rec for that reason.
Remember that your resume is to be created not only as a conversation starter, but as a document that intices your reader to check you out online after the interview. Make it easy for them to do this. Include your links, twitter, and perhaps a QR Code for them. Don't hide anything, let them know how awesome you are.
Social Media: What Does Google Tell Them About You?
Just as it's important to have a strong web presence, it's equally important these days to have a strong Social Media presence. These two things may sound like the same, but they are very different in several key ways.
How are you using Social Media?
Are you just "on twitter" but not active? It's important to not only have these accounts, but know how to use them to build a learning communiy for yourselves. We are still living in a world where several employers are domant to the powers of Social, but more and more, you are finding this is not the norm.
Who are you following?
I'm not saying that you shouldn't have the right to follow silly parody accounts, but if all you do is go on twitter to pick on the president or doute for your favorite sports teams, you aren't showing that you are using it for professional reasons.
What are you contributing?
This is probably the most important of all. Are you showing off how much you are an expert in your field? Are you sharing photos of your recent birthday party? There certainly can be a dividing line between professional and personal, but remember that everything you put online is fair game when being considered for employment.
Your social media is simply an extension of you. Treat it wisely and treat it with respect. Remember that nothing is hidden on the internet so you should start from the beginning down a path of positive personal, and professional, responsibility.
Follow Up
After the job fair, you should be prepaired to follow up on your interactions with the school districts. After each sit down interview, you should take any business cards that may be at the table and once out of sight, write down some important things about the interview so that you can create a personalized follow up email to that school district.
Should you email, or send a letter?
If you are interested in a position in a school district, an email saying thank you is always a great idea. It's an easy way to directly reach the recruiter to say thank you. However, you should also follow up with something that they can hold and read such as a letter. You of course, shouldn't over do it and send flowers, but a simple card with your contact information would be great and could go a long way to having them remember who you are when they have several hundred applicants.
Leave a Lasting Impression
Always remember that your job fair experience starts the moment you park your car. All eyes are on you all of the time. You never know who you will meet in the parking lot and because of a friendly "hello" you may land a long lasting conversation or future interview.
There are several tricks that I have used througout the years that (hopefully) put an extra coat of shine on interview experiences:
Is there something about your business cards that is memorable? My cards for example have a QR Code on one side which often leads to a nice conversation about technology.
If you know something about the school district, you should always bring up in conversation something about their sports teams, or someething academic they are known for. It shows that you have taken the next step to invest in their programs.
Ask to follow them on twitter, or even better, follow them on their social channels before you sit down with them. It could be a plus to say "I just noticed that you tweeted about (something wonderful), that's pretty awesome that you are doing those types of activities in your schools.... I'm looking forwrard to being apart of your team."
Always remember that recruiters are there looking for future members of their school faculty and family. Anything you can do to show that you are a team player is a bonus that could set you apart from others and land you that second interview.
Don't Get Upset ... Get Them Next Time
Like everything else you do, prepare... do your best... and then put it behind you. There are many job fairs each year and if you don't succeed the first time, you have plenty more opportunities. It's not uncommon for someone to interview with a school district at several job fairs. Taking the time to bring something different to the table is a good sign that you are interested in a particular position.
If you don't get any call backs after your first job fair, just keep going. Everday is an interview. Every Edcamp is a networking experience. If you are someone who needs to learn how to be a good interview, bring some reflections back home and try again.
Bonus Tip: Practice ... Practice ... Practice
As a bonus tip, I would strongly suggest that, if the calendar presents itself, try attending a job fair in a county a bit out of your travel radius. Not only is this a great opportunity to test yourself, but you never know .... you may just end up being offered a job you hadn't even considered.
Good Luck!
I have said it time and time again .... I have never interviewed anyone for a single podcast ... I have always brought people together and engaged them in meaningful conversations. This is one of the best pieces of advice that I can give anyone when preparing for their next interview of job fair. If you sit down and wait for someome to ask you questions, you will no doubt set yourself up for "being interviewed." You should always go into these situations as prepared as posssible, and as confident as possible. Confidence equals collaboration and collaboration equals the strong potential to land a second conversation in their next round.
I hope this brief list has been helpful. I would love to invite you to use the comment section below to share your interview or job fair experiences. Good luck this year!
