im quite tired of talking about totk, like im sure you all know by know just how frustrated i am, but something i still strongly believe was the logical, and best thing to do in a sequel.. -
while botw was about you feeling lost in a strange world with neither you nor link knowing anything and both discovering it as you go, the theme of lonelyness and isolation, freeing the spirits of dead friends you need toremember again, in the end finally reuniting with one of the only friends still alive, after a 100 years
totk should have been about community, about working together with zelda at your side, as a companion, after having been seperated for so long, and seeing nothing of the time between titles, this should have been her travelling alongside you, after botw you'd WANT to spend time with her and get to know her more, her being the diplomat, the archtitect, the scientist, the translator of old texts, a historian trying to find out the truth about what her fathers kingdom was built on, to right old wrongs perhaps, for a better future- theres so much that she should have been, so much of her character was primed to go into this direction- and instead she is a pretty prize with no personality you get at the end like this is an 80s cartoon still
(this is disregarding the whole fact that ganondorf, AS WELL, should have been a giant factor in all this, in the history of it all, to explore his character and his actions, to have zelda research and find out about histroy clearly written by the victors- theres so much potential depth here that it dirves me crazy, botw was such a set up for more that was wasted, utterly wasted, for something i wouldnt even want to call paper thin bc even paper has more depth than anything in totk)
#ganondoodles talks#zelda#totk#ganondoodles rants#do not come to argue with me#im done trying to sound all nice about it#im angry and frustrated about this#tin foil hat me is convinced they shipped the āwritingā for totk off to some mobile games company bc they wanted to focus on that movie#since the success of the mario movie made them prob more money thant botws sales did#i know it might no line up#which is why i said tin foil hat me thinks that#with the situation of the games industry as a whole and zelda being my thing of interest#its soemthing i wont let go ever#and i have zero faith there will be any good stories to come out of the franchise again#dare i say satoru iwatas presence is dearly missed#espeically knowing how the other main guys think about what games should be#i know miyamoto always had a questionable approach to games#pretty sure it was aounoma who said the āwhy would you wanna go back to linearity lolol nostalgia blindet idiots lolololā#not a direct quote but you know what i mean#anyway#wont be taking about totk in length anymore#im just tired at this point#getting better at ignoring its existence but it still hurts like a sore spot you forgot you had whenever i hear anythign about it

Magnus Protocol ARG
Im not sure if someone else has already done this (most likely) but I've been re-readin the magnus institute excell with all the kids names. Since the tests where psychological in nature I thought maybe I could figure out if the "Connor" Dyer profile worked for Alice. But I think I've found out something about Sam. This might be the most tin foil hat theory I've had in a while but it makes sense! I've connected the dots!!!!!
There's a couple of things I need to stablish first:
The names seem to be ranked from lowest to highest score on the empathy test.
Sam scored the highest, Gerry the second highest (Dyer is closer to the middle of the list).
The tests seem to relate to cognitive development, especially related to morality and empathy.
The Asch test measures your "conformity" aka, how susceptible you are to peer pressure. Basically, they ask you a question, everyone before you gives the wrong answer, and the test is whether you would give the correct answer or go with what the others said.
The Milgram test measures your obedience when in conflict with your morality. The (very) abridged version is: they tell you tu punish someone by shocking them with increasing voltages and if you refuse they ask you to continue. The experiment goes on until reaching 450 volts or if the participant completely refuses even when ordered to continue.
We know the Institute was trying to find Subjects, Agents and Catalysts (there's an amazing post about this from @alice-apparently )
Okay so I made a little excell with the relevant info:
Both Gerry and Dyer show low conformity and obedience levels. Which, knowing Gerry (and maybe Alice??) makes complete sense. We can assume that they both chose to give the correct answer even if everyone else answered differently, and they also refused to administer the punishment even when directly ordered.
Sam on the other hand, mr "would rather die than complain about being forcefed cake" did in fact go with what most people said instead of the correct answer. He also finished the Milgram experiment, going against his moral compass to obey the instructions.
I think they were trying to find viable subjects to groom into avatars for the eye. Hear me out. The kids with the lowest empathy score show high scores in the Milgram test (makes sense, they don't care as much about hurting people) but from 80% empathy forward no one scores high. No one except Sam, the one with the highest empathy score.
Why not just pick the one's with the least empathy? the least empathetic kids were also the youngest and the ones with lowest cognitive developement (I do not go in deph about the other test but you can see the scores for yourself here). This kids aren't useful yet, because maybe they'll become more empathetic (And as such, more resistent to the Milgram test) as they grow up/develop.
Not Sam. He has perfect scores in every single development test, he has the highest empathy and yet he's the most likely to be influenced to harm other people.
In episode 10 Sam confirms his obsession with finding out why they didn't chose him despite having the highest scores. Gerry was the second highest and he didn't get picked either. My theory is that Sam was indeed chosen, and the fact that he shows no survival instincts when it comes to figuring this mystery out is prove.
His test results show someone whiling to file useless papeworks with extremely personal information because "well, you're supposed to even if no one reads it". Also Teddy leaving for a job that somehow didn't actually exist smells like somebody trying to free a spot in the very Eye-coded OIAR. A spot that Sam is more than happy to accept.
I don't know if this is an incredibly long con to condition Sam into the perfect vessel for the eye or if the Magnus Institute had to change plans after burning down. If it's the latter I can see them being very happy when their specialest little boy signed up for the OIAR and fell right into their laps again. Either way, Sam's fucked.

let me hop onto this kinda underrated but definitely outdated post for a minute and ask: did Dr Michael PhD know about Clockwerk? it's not like i want the owl to be the ultimate catalyst in Sly's life - he was the end-all be-all for two games, it was time to move on for sure - but at the same time murdering an entire lineage of raccoons isn't um something you stumble upon everyday ?
i know how enticing it can be to want to connect all the dots when writing sequels and i'm so happy SP didn't pull a Roman Bridger told Billy Loomis to become Ghostface with Clockwerk and Dr Michael. actually, when you think about it, Sly 3 resists the urge to bring up Clockwerk in any way, which is very respectable. the way the game connects to the other two is through the aftermath of ClockLa (which is hardly mentioned) and returning villains as new gang members. if we removed those from the equation, Sly 3 could be a standalone entry. it's a very refreshing game after, again, two games that centre around Clockwerk and his subsequent resurrection but it's also a bit jarring to think that he is barely (or not at all?) mentioned during a game that involves two characters who worked for him as well as one who used his own tail feathers. at times it feels like the game is deliberately going out of its way to tiptoe around the subject.
personally, Honour Among Thieves left a lot to be desired, especially as the final episode not only of the game but of the series. more specifically, i love Dr Michael's conversation with Bentley so much but i feel like it was too little too late. i get that it acted as a climax for the 'Bentley wants to step out of Sly's shadow' storyline but the conversation gave birth to so many huge implications that it felt like we were just then getting to the juicy bits. why does Dr Michael have such vitriol for ConnEr Cooper? what happened between the gang members? was ConnEr truly a piece of shit or is it all Dr Michael's perspective? did every Cooper have a Bentley and Murray figure in their life?
whereas the player got to know Neyla through her various appearances throughout Sly 2, Dr Michael's character development is put on pause due to the fact that Sly 3's episodes aren't interconnected via the common thread of "a gang of villains". as a result, many questions arise in the final episode and never get answered. one of them being: what's his connection to Clockwerk? as highlighted in the paragraph above, there are other questions that are easily prioritised over this one because they are pointed at during the conversation with Bentley. that being said, it feels a bit bizarre for Dr Michael to not even bring up Clockwerk once. when he first sees Sly he thinks it's ConnEr, which raises the question 'does he even know about Clockwerk murdering ConnEr in the first place?' that's definitely one possibility. the gang dispersed and when ConnEr settled down as a family man, that's when Clockwerk came into the picture. ok! probable scenario...
... but idk i'm not really buying it. i don't want to be the tin foil hat girlie and i'm truly not, like in terms of narrative logic it makes total sense. but from a consistency standpoint, how can you create a character that is actually portrayed as more of an omnipresent, all-powerful entity, the literal embodiment of evil, to then just have him go *poof* ? Clockwerk is the stain on the Cooper legacy, the Cooper killer and Dr Michael, who prides himself on hating ConnEr so much, has no idea who he is? the evil scientist who is infatuated with the Coopers and creates animal hybrids doesn't know about the owl robot that survives on Cooper hate? mama what are the odds. again, i'm against trying to unnecessarily connect all the dots, but even a mention would suffice. cutscene appearance even. like what if Dr Michael acted as this Judas figure who approached Clockwerk post gang breakup and spilled on how to track down ConnEr or some sort of secret? it would also help flesh out Clockwerk's character posthumously, which i find so clever. this is something discussed on the new episode of Safehouse Chats btw (shameless plug-in sis), where we debate whether or not Clockwerk benefits from being shrouded in total mystery. as for my initial question? i think Dr Michael bottomed for Clockwerk. block me
#the Scream reference is the actual bottom behaviour here#sly cooper#what if Le Paradox was actually Dr M's son. that would also help flesh out Miss Decibel's character very nicely#god help me

in defense of āif you werenāt a fucking assholeā
(what better time to write āmetaā than hours before a season premiere. after all, style is dead. or was it that itās just boring? no, wait, itās toxic??)
this doesnāt have a thesis, itās just some leftover thoughts from last year - mostly pertaining The Church Scene, because of course - and featuring some hot stan marsh characterization takes i guess
letās start with the gay glancing at your ex-childhood best friend
so, this framing is loaded because it's the narrative of their whole thing: kyle chasing stan. stan usually comes to kyle's rescue in absurd (but solvable) situations, whereas kyle often has to fight stan to provide emotional respite. they're thinking of each other here; it's distinct how stan looks back, rather than this shot cutting at kyle. stan's explosive reaction is still pretty presumptuous, but kyle was, even if unintentionally, asking for stan's attention - which is typical
in a sense, this scene is their wordless language; the kind you share with said ex-best friend but itās gotten worn from overuse, and as a result, youāre both communicatively stunted, so now that youāve reached out again after 40 years, the first step to any comfort or solace is [the scene above] and a homoerotic spectacle:
well, i donāt need to tell you what that public spectacle is; you already know
stan leads his paranoid outburst in the church by accusing kyle of knowing something which would be impossible for kyle to know; in Youāre Getting Old/Assburgers kyle also reaches out to stan, who turns him down, yet still asks that kyle basically read his mind and comfort him
kyle is not a stranger to demanding unrealistic things from stan as well, but kyle calling stan āassholeā packs that punch since contemporarily the fandom usually assumes stan as more emotionally forward or in-touch with himself. however, in the church, kyle is pointing out that stan is clearly repressing his feelings, desires, traumas, etc. and kyle has used a similar approach before:
in my last meta, i wrote about how stan is pretty firm in not instantly accepting kyle's olive branches. of course, the thing is, kyle's olive branches are bent sometimes, let alone how he approaches asking for stan's forgiveness before the broship splits. kyle doesn't apologize: he just expects stan to move on
(also, i love the "divorced couple" coding before we even reach Post-COVID.) anyway, the show clearly acknowledges stan as "agreeing with kyle no matter what," and the first time stan and kyle fight in canon, itās a big deal
i always return to how i don't see kyle or stan as at fault in most of, if not all, of their fights. this especially applies to YGO & Assburgers since it's one of their most significant ābreak-upā arcs. still... kyle's "if you weren't a fucking asshole" in the church scene is so satisfying. (and 100% excellent voice acting on matt stone's part; the punchy delivery at the end of that line is what makes me revisit it often.) when i put my tin foil hat on, it does sound like decades of resentment built up. if this post had to have a thesis, itād be, āhereās why kyle had every right to call stan an asshole in that moment,ā but the Stan Can Be an Asshole, Too meta is for another day. after all, my last meta also revolved around the trouble i have with framing stan as an exclusively passive character (rather than predominantly passive)Ā
by ādecades of resentment,ā i mean simmering for kyle since, you guessed it, episodes such as You're Getting Old and Assburgers. i talk about YGO & Assburgers a lot, i'm sorry. but i was thinking about the church scene as i browsed the south park wiki on the official site: "Kyle can only deal with so much of Stan's negativity." (obviously, matt and trey themselves do not write or even moderate the Comedy Central studios wiki, so take all of it with a grain of salt.) i like that wording, though, and this other part of the blurb too: "Stan's ego can get in the way of their friendship [referencing Guitar Queer-o]"Ā
kyle not being able to handle stanās negativity these days is more often harshly critiqued than anything about stanās ego. that detail does, in many forms, relate to the stan jock characterization discourse, but thatāll also have to wait for another meta. i can say a couple of things about it to tie up this post, thoughĀ
yes, kyle fails to comfort stan in the YGO arc. at the same time, i don't think his positivity is always maligned. after all, the YGO arc isn't stan vs kyle, it's stan and kyle vs. growing up; this is their contemporary theme. and yes, for a kid, kyle can have that emotional maturity
Tegridy Farms and Post-COVID have cemented stan as south parkās protagonist ā though, in my opinion, he always has been it, especially since Bigger, Longer, & Uncut ā and protagonists are like, the character archetype that receives the most self-projection. yet this emotional angle is comparatively still a fairly new framing of stanās character. now that this show is narrated in such a way that we see even more of the world of south park through stanās eyes, fans watching may feel extra inclined to think of him as only ever depressed. but being sad is not all stan does and never has been
not only is this frequency fairly new to his character, i would go so far as to say that thereās a difference between the contemporary stan angst arcs and older episodes like Raisins, YGO, and Assburgers. being sad is not ānaturalā to stan (whatever that means), it is thrust upon him. most recently, this is randyās fault. yes, we are meant to - and i hope that most do - sympathize or empathize with stan, but my point here is that heās a little bit more belligerent and bullish than the fandom currently gives him credit for

Guys, I solved Ryoken
He doesn't actually hate the Ignis.
He hates that his dad cared more about them than him.
Think about it, he has valid reasons to think that, like when his dad says this shit in response to Ryoken asking him if killing all the Ignis hurts:
To his face, he's told that his death would hurt his father just as much as the Ignis's deaths would yet later, or perhaps before this scene, his father also told him that if all else fails, he should start up the Tower of Hanoi and kill himself and everyone he cares about to destroy the Ignis. So in an indrect way, what he actually says, to his own fucking son, is that Ryoken's death means even less to him than the Ignis's deaths.
Not to mention the fact that Ryoken spent years of his life up to this point being neglected by his father in favour of the Ignis. Six months of that was him torturing children, which 8 year old Ryoken witnessed. Reporting it put his father in jail for three years:
Then he immediately dies after being released from prison and reveals that during his time there, he finished creating the Ignis:
So to find out a mere two years after this that the Ignis he created were, from their point of view, definitely gonna rise up and kill all of humanity, probably pissed him off. He's been neglected for at least five years in favour of these Ignis. It's not directly stated but honestly, the fact that he was willing to go along with the Tower of Hanoi, and that even after his father is gone, he still clings to his words and beliefs, makes me very certain that Ryoken was neglected and emotionally/psychologically abused.
That I think is the true reason why he hates the Ignis. He doesn't realise it and that's why even after so many seemingly obvious loud signs throughout season 2 that his racist view of them was unjustified, he didn't change his mind. Or rather, he did:
Yeah, okay I go back and forth on this scene and I'm back to thinking it meant something when on the surface, it really does just feel like it was retconned by season 3, but HEAR ME OUT! For this one moment, when he thought he was dying, he did change his mind. He did let go of his bitterness and hate, if just for Ai since he knew Ai and Playmaker would have what it took to defeat Bohman and save humanity, since they'd done it before.
It was when he came back from being dead and the threat was gone that his stubborn pride and anger took over again. Not once did any of the constant "you're wrong" clues in season 2 ever get to the heart of the real issue. If anything, it's worse now. He's still obsessed with his father's legacy, he never got over that, and recently discovered that Lightning was the real murderer of his father. Of course he's spouting bullshit like this:
Even if he may deep down have been starting to think the Ignis may not be a threat anymore at this point (I don't know if I fully believe that, I'll have to rewatch season 3), he's not going to express that because that would mean his father was wrong, his father who put more attention into the Ignis than his own son. Besides, I wouldn't put it past Ryoken to lie through his teeth about his more vulnerable emotions at this point. After all, he said THIS while fighting for the fallen Hanoi:
Fucking liar.
Maybe all of this sounds too much like headcanon or tin foil hat territory but honestly it makes more sense to me than any other interpretation I've personally had about Ryoken. It genuinely answers so many of the frustrating questions I've had for... a year now, good lord that I'm adopting this as headcanon even if everyone disagrees.
Still doesn't justify how Duel Links wrote him in his event though.
It does make me forgive season 3 just a little bit though, I don't know, I haven't rewatched it yet. I'll update this if something I rewatch in season 3 changes anything.
#yugioh#ygo#yugioh vrains#ygo vrains#vrains#ryoken kogami#revolver#revolver vrains#analysis#rambles#over analysis#over analyzing#Hawk the show's been over for 4 years just chill out#okay but wait this kinda also validates every Ryoken/Ignis ship-#or most of them at least screw Lightning#Rev babe if ya just want love and affection the rest would be glad to give it#or me- what who said that

So apparently Miles Teller's wife Keleigh gave Taylor that ring?? Except then why did Keleigh like that tiktok theorizing the it was from Travis? If ever asked I'm sure Keleigh would claim she liked it because the women was right about stones being opal and blue topaz but come on the main point of that tiktok was "this ring was a gift from Travis" and Keleigh liking it was taken as confirmation on that. Which she bloody well knew would happen the minute she clicked like, which I'm sure was done with Taylor's permission. And why did she then wait so long to correct everyone?
I've gotta laugh at Keleigh, no doubt under Taylor's direction, trying to act like tHe MeDiA were fixated on the ring for no reason. Taylor was flashing that thing all over her bday pics, as the tiktok demonstrates, and she was showing it off to Keleigh and Miles, even though Keleigh apparently bought it for her, while being papped. Taylor 100% wanted everyone to see the ring, talk about the ring and speculate about who gave it to her. And of course? people figured it was from Travis? A boyfriend giving his girlfriend jewelry for her birthday is a very normal and frankly expected when said boyfriend is a rich football player. Also a ring featuring both their birthstones is generally considered a pretty romantic gift? Its kind of a weird gift for a friend to give imho, which is why I'm very skeptical that ring really was from Keleigh, even if Keleigh's birthday is also in October so opal is her birthstone too (OMG....is this the birth of Keylor!?!?! š²ļæ½ļ潚¤£).
Anyway call me crazy but I think there is something very fishy about Keleigh all of a sudden claiming that the ring was from her. Taylor seemed perfectly happy to let people think the ring was from Travis until today. What changed?
tin foil hat time: I think Taylor and Travis have broken up. My spidey senses have been tingling ever since he was confirmed to not come to her New York birthday party after weeks of speculation about all the romantic things he was gonna do for her bday. I was wondering if he was going to pull a Gyllenhaal (stand her up on her bday and breakup with her before Christmas) and now I'm thinking that might be exactly what he's done (although he apparently at least let her know he wouldn't be at her bday). If he has broken up with her I bet Taylor feels really silly having flashed that ring around so much during her birthday hence her now getting Keleigh, who's birthstone also happens to be opal, to claim it was actually from her. If they have broken up I doubt anything will be confirmed until early in January but it'll certainly be interesting to see what happens over Christmas and New Years. Google says the Chiefs have a game on Christmas Day and New Years Eve...
I could be way off base but this whole "psych!! you thought the ring was from Travis but its actually from Keleigh!!" thing just feels very off and defensive. And if the ring isn't from Travis then what DID he get her for her bday?? Given how public they've been with everything else its odd that Taylor didn't want to show it off. Or at least have the details leaked.
Right, if the ring wasnāt from Travis then why did Keleigh like a tiktok saying otherwise? And who in the world gives their friends birthstone matching rings like that one? But at the same time our TK bestie's two braincells can never come up with such sentimental idea.
So my take is, Taylor wanted people to think the ring was from Travis, so it was originally gifted by Keleigh, but planned by Taylor. She wanted to replace the memories of the opal ring and infinity bracelet that she was given by Joe, so maybe it was actually a show off to shade him like "Yes you gave me an sentimental opal ring once, but this new tacky one gifted by my new boyfriend is much better anyway." Hence she made Keleigh like the post to spread the news. But now idk what happened that made her take back the statement...
Maybe TK bestie saw it and it bruised his ego that his gf is buying herself gifts and crediting him for it? šš
Or maybe your take is right too? Let's seešæ

INSIDE JOB S1 PART 2 TRAILER, SPOILERS, AND ANALYSIS
Hereās the link to the trailer: watch
- heads up, this post will change frequently with new analysis and information.
SPOILERS AND DETAILS BELOW I SPOTTED
0:12 - we see the gang sans Reagan in Randās office. The moment the coup backfires and Rand convinced them not to overturn him and the company?
0:29 - we see the robes with two people before them kneeling, possible sacrifices (itās hard to tell from a grainy overhead view) or who could be a younger JR Scheimpough and Rand Ridley
0:37 - WE SEE JR heās in the corner while Glenn attempts to make a suicide pact, sitting in I believe the drivers seat of a car American style AND HES GOT A TATTOO ā look at his right bicep and we see what resembles a tribal marking of a face and sitting shotgun is Myc! I couldnāt make out if he was wearing a tin foil hat in this shot but I assume yes. The gang looks like, according to the map, that theyāre heading for Area 51.
After that we see Brett, Gigi, and Andre at the manhunt we have seen in previous clips where Ron and Reagan try to sabotage and end up getting tased.
Next we see the robes all 5 circling and enacting a blood sacrifice or ceremony in which they slice their palms. Kinda funny that they all look white
0:44 - we see Ron and Reagan on what appears like a date, Ron in a suit and Reagan in a gown as a crack appears in the street. Thereās gears and mechanics within the crack, showing itās calculated for that location and purposeful.
0:54 - we see a lineup of the Illuminati, a shrouded figure in a headdress alongside Oprah, Lin Manuel Miranda, and who I believe is Jay Z and BeyoncƩ
1:10 - we see a hellish dragon breathe fire and fly towards the screen, the surroundings are similar to the environment in the episode where the gang goes to the reptoid gala
1:11 - in the netflix trailer version, not the twitter or YouTube one, we see a figure of rand and tamiko sitting in what looks like the hologram room of Cognito and a shift in which a hologram either appears or dissolves, revealing Robotus sitting before Tamiko. Thereās theories and concepts of the fight between Rand and Ro being over Tamiko and that Ro falls in love with her, etc, but my personal favorite would be Rand trying to disguise himself as Ro to sneak around the gang or Tamiko and Robotus finds out and beats the fuck out of him. Wishful thinking š¤·š»āāļø
1:13 - we see Ron and Reagan, in the same outfits as 0:54, fighting off a new Pope armed with a staff and looking off with purplish glowing eyes and Ron facing off with said pope using a crucifix we see throughout emitting a darker purple glow which returns in clips in the entirety of the trailer
1:17 - we see the gang get ready to go down to hollow earth, guided in a lift by one of the mole people. All are armed with tin foil hats
1:20 - we see puppet Brett and Brett with two characters in the background that could possibly be family members or siblings?? Due to the hair and eyes that resemble Brettās own. Is that his family?
1:20 we see Myc alongside MUSHROOMS at a party, and Mycās wearing a tuxedo collar possibly at Area 51?
1:20-> 1:22 we see a series of clips rapidly in which Keanu Reeves starts what appears to be a villain arc, AB Robotus has a gun and fires at something off screen, and Brett is playing around with a golden retriever that has to be Air Bud - thereās also a fleeting moment in which a hologram falters around Keanu Reeves and Iām not sure what to do with that, youāll see why
1:23 - we see gigi on the Illuminati throne looking down upon Lin Manuel Miranda & see an image of Glenn in battle armor like a gladiator ā I think Glenn dressed as a gladiator for Halloween then got high and is having a VERY bad trip but could also be another location, but the decorative lights in the background remind me of the Halloween party from previously released screencaps
1:24 - we see Rand Ridley and AB Robotus fighting with a figure in the background that looks like Tamiko
Also at 1:24 - we see a fleeting moment of a robe about to flip off their hood, and we see Reagan in the clip heading down an elevator and encountering the robes. Is she being initiated in? is she about to die? Who knows?
1:31 - Keanu Reeves versus Reagan, and sheās heavily armed and then decorated with a band of garlic, making me wonder if Keanu is a vampire?
1:35 - we see Gigi in an Illuminati headdress performing what looks like an old Welcome to Disney Channel advertisement with the blue glittering corner logo and wand
1:36 - we see Brett, Reagan, and Robotus standing far away from a glowing structure in the distance of a triangle, ominous and looking like a focal point to whatās causing the end of the world. Brett and Reagan wear tin foil hats while Robotus wears a triangular metal rod from his skull and is tube-less, just in treads to move.
1:37 - we see a moment of Ron aiming a laser gun or memory eraser at the screen, and him being reluctant to fire. Itās green, unlike the coloring on the memory eraser shown in earlier clips that Ron is armed with and uses in his job at the Illuminati.
1:39 - we see a clip of the staff used by the pope in the earlier scene being broken in half over someoneās knee, I assume Ron due to how the outfit of the person matches his the most. It exposes wires from the inside.
1:39 - we see Reagan I the center of a circle, surrounded by robes who are closing in. The elevator sequence Reagan goes through in the later half of the trailer resembles her going down into the earth where the Shadow Board/Council is located.
1:41 - we see a UFO hovering about a pyramid and a Shazam poster that appears around Brett throughout the trailer. We also see a mechanical device, a large one, being buried. Is it a Time Machine or something that bends reality?
1:42 - 1:43 we see a series of rapid fire images, including a poster of Rand Ridley captioned āDeath to the Disloyalā in which he wields a bloody scythe, the device that gets buried at 1:41 located at the base of a structure that gets broken up by a UFO, Reagan wielding a red book, filled with notes and bookmarks with a red cover in surroundings resembling the reddish lighting of the elevator when it heads down to the Shadow Board. We see the Shadow Board circled around a pedestal and platform in surroundings that look tropical, Rand staring in distress at a tunnel made in the wall of his office, and a flashing moment between a worried Reagan and a high or drugged Andre.
1:45-1:50 - we see Brett, Reagan, and Glenn in a room in the midst of what looks like planning and strategy. Glenn plays with a hologram of a branching map of timelines and reality, making me wonder if a plan for the gang is to split the timeline or alter reality.

Time for a Crackpot Theory (Webcomic Spoilers)
One-Punch Man Webcomic readers might remember this guy. The Neo Leader and Great Prophet Infelsinave, founder of the Church of Otherworldly Reincarnation. He had nearly a million loyal followers, and he joined the Neo Heroes to fight for justice or something.
I don't think he ever said a single fuggin' word, so I guess if one wanted to list his positive traits, you could call him stoic and humble.
His fighting abilities were probably negligeable, other than the well-built suit of armor underneath his regal robes, but he was elected a Neo Leader due to his admittedly vast influence.
He had divine powers, whatever that means.
To be quite honest, I use the phrase "might remember" because he's pretty forgettable.
He was murdered recently.
As you can see, he had a tough go of it during his first battle and wound up dead in the road.
I'm here to give the prophet his due and investigate his murder a little. Let's put on our detective hats and examine the evidence.
He got a hole punched in his Neo Hero armor by a monster.
The monster killed him, then bounced. It's quite possible that's all it was; a monster saw Infelsinave, brutally ran him through, then walked away.
But notice that his homies were there to witness the murder. A horde of allies who were as weak as Infelsinave survived the attack without so much as being looked at by the murderer.
Are monsters usually that selective? No! Monsters are typically connoisseurs of surplus killing, like weasels targeting hordes of hapless mice.
So, why didn't the monster go on to maul the rest of the Neo Heroes present? Why were the other humans on-scene not worth its aggression?
So, that's my first piece of evidence; the monster seemed to have a grudge against Lord Infelsinave specifically.
But we don't know a single person with enmity towards Lord Infelsinave, do we? He had a lot of followers, which means he probably had plenty of detractors. Maybe there was a monster who hated cult leaders? In that case, we'd have no idea who killed him.
But what if, and bear with me on this, the monster didn't have a beef with Infelsinave in particular?
What if the monster was looking for a different person, and mistook Infelsinave for someone we know a little better?
I have a long-shot theory; whatever attacked Infelsinave was actually hunting our friendly neighborhood Saitama.
Both are bald, both wear flowing garments (Saitama's cape, and Infelsinave's dorky cloak), and though their similarities are only passing, Saitama has a bland enough look that Infelsinave's attacker might have made the honest mistake of killing the Neo Leader like a dog without taking a closer gander for Saitama's trademark perfunctory visage.
Now, who has the power to smash through Neo Hero armor like butter, a grudge against Saitama, and the speed to assault Infelsinave and leave before his Neo Hero squad could react?
Well...any Demon-level monster, really. Awakened Cockroach, Bug God, Royal Ripper, or even the Lion Eating Zebra could probably speedblitz Infelsinave and leave, unfraught by any Neo Goon resistance.
But I have a theory.
It was THIS GUY. The Ninja Village Leader!
He has the skills,
he has the motive,
and he's so unfamiliar with Saitama that mistaking Infelsinave for him would be believable.
Call me a gormless gumshoe. Mistake my detective hat for tin-foil. But I'd bet a fat Hamilton ($10) that the Ninja Village Leader is the culprit who eliminated Infelsinave, and he did it under the mistaken belief that he was taking down Saitama, the man who beat him up and stole all his cool ninja stuff.
Mystery solved!
"But BadJohn, Infelsinave is alive!"
No he's not. That's baloney. That guy is a fucking robot husk designed to fool his followers and steal all his money.
I'm not crazy, YOU'RE crazy

Iām drastically split on PR or Real. Either itās a badly managed PR relationship or sheās the one (as not engaged or planning a wedding, but that period in a relationship where you are planning a future) and they are doing weird stuff to protect her? Idk
PR support
ā¢ their announcement and pap walk on the day her show premiered. Why do that if you want to be private? Clearly done to bolster her in media.
ā¢ heās never gone this hard on socials sharing any another woman in his life. Again why do that if you want to be private?
ā¢ heās never seen with her out and about by either fans or paps (like other GFs). Heās either a ninja or doesnāt spend all that much time with her. If heās a ninja, this makes sense if you want to be private.
ā¢ what they heck do they have in common with her being 25 and growing up in a different culture life style? I canāt imagine a young woman wanting to live in suburbs of Mass where your friend group is 15+ years older than you. Is it possible? sure but doesnāt make sense to me.
Real support
ā¢ photo and video dumps that show they are were together many, many times. Tin-foil hat theories aside, why share so many if you want to be private? That wasnāt just a few photos, but a ton of photos to show their relationship over time. Itās still strange behavior. Clearly they spent time together over a long period of time. But why share 20+ photos all at once?
ā¢ family and friends involvement in socials, and in person. I never thought Chris was that deep in Hollywood manipulative game mechanics that he would allow a PR relationship to go on a family vacation, even for a few days for pics to leak she was there. Also, having a PR girlfriend attend your close childhood friendās annual Halloween party isnāt the same as attending an industry event to garner attention. Thatās his personal life side.
ā¢ if this is PR, itās badly managed. I would think they would both be posting more often about each other on socials for more drops to garner more attention. Articles announcement/pap walk -quiet for 2 months. Scare video - quiet for 6 weeks. Explosion of photos + 2 videos, quiet for 2 months. I would think weād see them more frequency in little drops if itās purely PR.
ā¢ itās very possible that his ātaxi lightā is on. Heās ready to settle down and sheās the girl in his life at the time heās ready to do so. This is something men do, even if the lady in their life doesnāt make sense.
Thereās contradictory points on both the PR side and Real side. I do think thereās some credible inside sources in the fandom, but tough to say which ones are real and which are trolls claiming to be sources. The truth of the matter is we may never know for sure if this is a real relationship or PR, unless they officially do get married at some point. If they break up at some point, I think people in the fandom will still argue about this.
In the end Chris doesnāt care about what the fans say about her. Heās going about his life anyway. Heās ok with losing fans to be with her -whether itās real or PR. Itās up to fans to decide to give him their time of day or not in the future.
Heās not being hoodwinked by her, nor is there some hidden con that sheās doing to him. Sheās in his life, PR or real. Itās not worth the bloody wars in the fandom that either team absolutely must be right and the other team are the losers.
Is it possible no woman will ever be good enough for Chris fandom? Sure. But also Iād argue he just doesnāt date interesting women that we can get behind and cheer for. Jenny was perhaps the closest but still problematic as hell.
Well said, anon. Iām definitely picking up what youāre putting down here š¦

ok since i actually did just watch all three episodes that amazon dropped of the wheel of time i might as well talk about it a little bit.
first off, it was stupid and dumb to hold this show off for an entire fucking year so we could waste time with the rings of power's fantastical blowing of a billion dollars. it does feel to me like they're low key trying to bury this show, lord knows why
(here, let's put on a tin foil hat: it's because it came out really gay, an actual genuine rainbow of a show that actually matters in this day and age, and we can't have something this gay available to people so let's bury it)
anyways, it's almost impossible for me, personally, to rate this show. i know what i'm looking forā i read all 14 books of this fucker. the game i have to play while watching it is almost annoying to me. that doesn't mean it's bad, or any of the vast changes being made to the story aren't good onesā i'd rather see a condensed and different version of the series anyways. but there's still that string in the back of my head, that says, for example, "hey, mat and min never hung out, did they?" and like, no i don't think they did, but also, that's a heck of a way to write yourself out of the "we had to think fast when we lost an actor after season one's long covid break" hole! these two have big chemistry and i'm all in (new mat is great. he seems to have this slight touch more confidence than mat 1 did, but we'll see what happens when (/if) he links back up with the main crew (if the show goes the same route as the books, where the main cast splits up after book 2/3 and never really links back up again)).
but the changes here are mostly goodā giving moiraine more of an arc than just "i am mysterious, ooooo" is great. having ran be more of a confident guy so he can fuck lanfear like a stud is hot and funny and the right kind of fucked up. like i said last post, killing that one beloved character was good because that character kinda sucked maybe and also there are too many characters. giving liandrin wayyyy more to do is great because the show clearly understands what it has with kate fleetwood.
maybe that's worth underlining moreā the show really understands that it has a bangin' cast and it wants to use them well. everyone gets time to shine here, which is impressive given the size of the cast (the jumping around characters never felt disorienting, it's handled better than even the books, where the "main character" would disappear for a literal thousand pages at a time).
i want to know what happens next, and my only bad feeling is that i wish i didn't have to untangle that feeling from "i want to see how they get there," like, everything is too connected to the books to me, and i feel like the show is good and cool enough to warrant me forgetting minute plot points. they fantasy-curb-stomped ***, nothing is impossible, here.
idk,
it's a good show, and i hope people actually watch it.

@redlips-blooddrops-deux
My character has been committed to an asylum. Send me ā¤ for their reaction to yours visiting them.
The twins lived a life of violence - they were desensitized to blood, gore, pain and death. Rarely does such a lifestyle unfold in a vacuum. Neither brother was a stranger to how dark other humans could be. However, following a lengthy recovery after his brush with death on the train in Kyoto, time soon revealed that the complex string of events that had led up to his lengthy comatose state had left a mark of its own on one of them.
Tangerine always had been more susceptible to periods of mental decline, often exacerbated by the substances he would lean on to cope. And after learning of what had truly unfolded behind the scenes, Tangerine had become increasingly 'tin-foil hat'.
Anyone who sat near him at a restaurant, anyone who walked behind him or caught his eye across the street, any car that pulled up within a few yards of distance - they were all agents of the White Death, here to reap revenge for the failure of their sordid plan, to finish what the world's most feared boss had started.
As time went on, they weren't just out on the street. No, the White Death's goons had cameras in the bathroom; all the mirrors were double-sided, and they had poisoned their tap water and all their food was laced with tiny little microchips that they would use to track both him and his brother wherever they went, or even read their minds or control their thoughts.
Lemon had been in a hell of state after services came knocking, which had been a whole fuss in itself - he may have been a bit sick, but Tangerine was still as feisty as ever! As if he would ever go quietly...
Nevertheless, Lemon had called Lily up, on the brink of tears after Tangerine had failed the assessment and Lemon had subsequently failed to persuade them not to take him; that the public incident involving an unsuspecting black-suited bystander whose eyes had apparently lingered a bit too long had merely been a one-off.
If someone's fuckin' paranoid 'bout someone else bein' out to get 'em, how the Hell is lockin' 'em up gonna help?!
Of course it was horrible for him to watch after nearly losing his brother once already. But it was, perhaps, for the best. His brother was unwell, after all. He needed off the drugs, and he needed help.
That said, he was quite clearly dosed up on a different kind of drug at this point - an ironic means to an end. Sitting in the visitor's room wearing a white dressing gown and pair of padded restraint cuffs, he looked pretty zoned out.
And yet, there was still a visible twinkle in his eyes when Lily came around the corner.
"Hi..." the word came out in a breathless murmur, moved as if he were being graced by the presence of a deity. "F-Fuck...I've ya' missed, doll. I missed ya' face so goddamn much. God, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for everythin'. I know things 'ave been crazy, an' tha' I've been crazy, but...it's alright. I got it figured out, okay? I'm gonna' make everythin' better, I promise ya', luv..."
He placed his cuffed hands on hers and gave them a loving squeeze. He was already whispering, but as he leaned forward, his voice dropped a few decibels further.
"We jus' gotta talk quietly, okay? The White Death might 'ave tiny microphones embedded in the woodchips of the table; his crew could be listenin' to everythin' we're sayin' right now. An' don't drink none of the water they give ya', or the coffee, no matter wha' they tell ya' - it's all a set up; tha's probably why they let ya' in 'ere, it's a false sense of security, to make us think they're on our side. They probably put sumin' in it, like microscopic robots or some shit tha' they'll use to track ya' wherever ya' go after ya' leave-...an' you guys 'ave gotta stay safe for me, yeah?"

I have big feelings about this.
*hands you a tin foil hat*
Come with me, lets make some assumptionsā¦ Why would the Elvhen Pantheon Kill Mythal?
Number 1, I don't think the Evanuris are a "Family." I think they're a king/queen and his generals, or Captain/Lieutenant and Generals.
(Solas, Trespasser: "... after the war ended, generals became respected elders, then kings, and finally Gods. The Evanuris.")
Number 2, Ancient Elvhen History: We know (because of Solas, so potential Bias here) that the Evanuris/Elvsh nobles subjugated their kin (vallaslin), but for what purpose (power, workforce, blood magic), we donāt know. Solas (FenāHarel), was opposed to the practice of slavery and lifted enslaved elves vallaslin with magic, to break the bonds of the Evanuris who oppressed them.
We know The Evanuris were also at War with "The Forgotten Ones".
We also know that they attacked/killed/trapped/destroyed the Titan(s).
Who knows what other atrocities they committed.
Mythal could have, at any point in time, for any of the above reasons, finally grown a conscience and began to disagree with the Evanuris.
Maybe something bad happened with the Titans, maybe the slaves, who knows. But, it might be easier to imagine Mythal betraying (or at least disagreeing with) the Evanuris if you believe my point 3:
Number 3: Why would FenāHarel, the Trickster God, feel strongly enough about ONE god (and Mythal of all of them) that he would lock the rest away for eternity?
Inquisitor: You said that the elven gods went too far. What did they do that made you move against them? Solas: They Killed Mythal. (chuckles) A crime for which an eternity of torment is the only fitting punishement. Inky: I thought Mythal was one of the Evanuris? Solas: She was the best of them. She cared for her people. She protected them. She was the voice of reason. And in their lust for power, they killed her.
I imagine the Evanuris as King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, complete with Elgar / Mythal / Solas in a King Arthur / Guinevere / Lancelot love triangle.
I have absolutely zero evidence to support this, other than it is weird (like you said) why the Evanuris would kill her, especially if they were together for so long and were all immortal - they would need a big reason. An emotional reason.
I can imagine Elgar being angry enough at Solasās betrayal that he would punish him with the death of the one he loved.
Proof of this theory? I donāt have any. Except for the fact that thereās a statue of FenāHarel at the Temple of Mythal.
Morrigan: Why would this be here? Inquisitor: Something wrong? Morrigan: It depicts the Dread Wolf, Fen'Harel. In elven tales, he tricks their gods into sealing themselves away in the beyond for all time. Setting Fen'Harel in Mythal's greatest sanctum is as blasphemous as painting Andraste naked in the Chantry. **Except now we know that FenāHarel locked the gods away because they killed Mythal, and you might imagine that the close (immortal) worshippers of Mythal would know that. Inquisitor: (Maybe it tells a story) Some Chantries display statues of Andraste's betrayer, Maferath, as part of The Chant. Morrigan: It might fulfill a similar function. A reminder of vigilance for the faithful. Solas: For all your "knowledge", Lady Morrigan, you cannot resist giving legend the weight of history. The wise do not mistake one for the other. (AKA - Do not mistake legend for history ā he is basically saying that the legend is wrong). Morrigan: Pray tell, what meaning does our elven "expert" sense lurking behind this? Solas: None we can discern by staring at it.
** Why wouldnāt Solas say something here? He could have said ANYTHING. He could have said, Sometimes FenāHarel was a protector (vallaslin), told a story of Mythals benevolence (real or not) towards FenāHarel, he could have said legends of Fen'Harel serving Mythal, he could have said anything, but he says NOTHING. And sometimes saying Nothing, is more powerful than saying Something. He misses Mythal, and would not have FenāHaralās bad reputation besmirch the honor and reverence that he believes should be afforded to Mythal in her Temple*, regardless of how time has twisted the legends. Morrigan offers only disrespect, and it puts Solas's back up, but he cannot offer a lesson here, only suggest that she is wrong.
BECAUSE he Loooooved her, wants to smoooooch her, he wants to love her and maaaarry her.
Point 3.5:
Cole, Tresspasser:
"He did not want a body. But she asked him to come. He left a scar when he burned her off his face."
*Could it be more obvious that Solas was indentured to Mythal? Whether he was spirit or not is irrelevant, why would he remove the vallaslin? He obviously has love (worship) for her. He wouldn't need to remove the marks for that. BUT, if he had love (romantic) for her, he couldn't be a slave anymore, he would need to elevate his station to prove his worth to her.
It also lends credence to his insane anger at her death, I mean he locked up seven GODS ffs. You have to be pretty mad to do that.
Point 3.75: Solas is Fen'Haral, the betrayer, god of REBELLION, because he took The Evanuris's slaves way. Mythal is the Protector. He is the Patron Saint of SLAVES. Kinda makes sense they would band together. also probably why he hates Tevinter/Dorian so much.
As an aside, I also donāt think we should compare Flemeth/Mythal (or Andraste/Mythal), to Evanuris Mythal. I would assume getting axed changes your worldview a little bit.
Ā āAnd in their lust for power, they killed her.ā
SOooo maybe it wasnāt intentional, the killing. Or maybe it was. But Solas got the big mad and trapped the Evanuris in the fade. I also presume that he locked them in the void, the same place where the āForgotten Onesā are, and that in doing so created the blight.
But thatās a different story.
Solas: She was the best of them. She cared for her people. She protected them. Solas: She was a voice of reason. And in their lust for power, they killed her.
Either Solas or Bioware is once again missing a few steps in the sequence of events that led to Mythal's death. I mean, let's be real here: if Mythal was truly someone who cared for and protected her people instead of treating them like objects and tools (unlikely given the whole magic well that forces any who drink from it to serve Mythal with her physically taking control of their body to force them to do what she wants even if the actions she compels them to undertake are entirely against their own wishes and beliefs situation, that's not exactly loving and protective behaviour) and the Evanuris were truly all eeeeeeeeeeeevil slavers willing to do anything for their own gain... she would not be any threat to them. That's why the magisters who practice large-scale human sacrifice are so feared; what they do is horrific, but they do do it for a reason. That shit does seem to give insane boosts in power!
And speaking of things being done for reasons: even if we believe that Mythal was the voice of reason among the Evanuris (possible, but given her general behaviour across the games... I don't know, I'm reserving judgement until we meet some of the others) and the others were all power-hungry, that doesn't automatically translate into them killing her. Sure, maybe they wanted her to stop nagging, but if they all ruled their own areas they likely wouldn't see much of her, and besides that in the legends we see they all seem to listen to her pretty willingly. And also... she's described as the leader of the pantheon. She was in charge. Assuming the legends have some basis in fact, she was the leader and mother figure most of the Evanuris were bound to follow and obey, and we know she does have a fondness for stripping notable followers of their free will (in fact she seems almost giddy about getting Quiz/Morrigan under her control). How sure are we that they didn't have very good reason to want her dead? It's not like Solas would admit to it given his blind spot for her, and it would make more sense than "She was nice and they were all Evil McEvil so they murdered her in cold blood for no real reason"...

want to rant about RyoSpec? Rant about RyoSpec (feel free to go on a wholly positive rant about it too)
This shit got longgggggggg
My positive rant:
I love them. They are a set who must not be separated.
Like Ryoken was the first person who accepted Spectre as he was. He gave him a home. Their backstory together is sooooo shoujo and sweet, like just taking home this little lost boy like a lost puppy, I love it but said puppy is??? The kid that your dad experimented on??? And he liked it?? Like wow, instant angst, too.
Like that shouldn't work! They have diametrically opposed views of the Incident and yet, Spectre is rock solidly devoted to Ryoken. I wish we knew more of how that worked. Spectre is Ryoken's second-in-command! That's amazing.
But its heartbreaking at the same time. Spectre adored the incident and yet, he's now tasked with aiding the extermination of the Ignis and he was in the dark the whole time that Ryoken knew only Lightning was the "bad" Ignis. I chalk this up to jealousy personally. Cross Duel also has the interesting take that Spectre doesn't mind (or possibly know) that Ryoken was the whistleblower for the Incident, too. I could dig into these plot points both negatively and posivitively but for the positive note, I think it goes to show just how protective Ryoken is towards Spectre and speaking of how protective Ryoken is with Spectre...
That leads into my tin foil hat theory that Ryoken is why Spectre's mother issues were toned down/censored in the dub because there is a striking parallel between Ryoken and Sunavalon Dryatrentiay in that they both protect Spectre. Spectre is weak and he doesn't care if he's weak because he has both Ryoken and his mother. Take that as you will and I'm going to use Spectre's mother tree thing as a launching point to discuss the oppositional symbolism around them: Spectre as a force of nature and Ryoken as a force of humankind.
I think its really neat how well they work together symbolically, representing technology versus nature. The loyalty Spectre has to Ryoken is so delicious, like by all means they should not work together because of how their pasts combine and how these symbols they're aligned with are typically at odds with each other and yet. Spectre spat in the face of Kitamura who tried to goad him into abandoning Ryoken.
Like I dunno if you recall or remember the theories flying around before Spectre vs Kitamura but basically everyone I was in contact with was firmly in the camp that Spectre was going to abandon Ryoken and try to off him before the Tower of Hanoi could even begin and he didn't. I found that so remarkable and refreshing. It would have been so easy for the writers to make Ryoken/Revolver more redeemable/sympathetic by having his second in command betray him like that for the evilz but he didn't.
And vice versa. Ryoken doesn't abandon Spectre. He was by his side in his comatose state, he was so upset when he saw Spectre lose to Lightning. It really means the world to me.
EDIT: ALSO HOW COULD I FORGOT
Spectre is so head over heels in love with Revolver that Playmaker used it to his advantage in their duel!!! Spectre would not do anything which brings shame or dishonour to his beloved. Sugoi.
TLDR I love them.
And then, as a chaser to that shot, my most unhinged rant I have locked and loaded (albeit in an unfinished fashion) for them is that they are two halves of a whole oedipus complex.
The facts: Ryoken is submissive to his Father, unable to escape the gravitational pull that he has on him needs to rebel and then we have Spectre, whose whole deal is being a mama's boy <3 So this symmetry is what builds towards my oedipus complex since one lacks a mother figure and the other lacks a father figure and you need both the urge to kill your dad (c'mon Ryoken, give in, I know you want him dead) and the urge to fuck your mum (thanks Spectre and your g-rated orgasm and the tentacle hug).
And then my negative rant: I miss when I could call them a popular ship. I miss when I didn't dominate the tag. I also wish we had gotten more canon content. I hate that Ryoken didn't mention Spectre in his duel links opening, especially since he had so much awful things to say about Earth, both in duel links AND IN THE SHOW :(
Like I mentioned before they shouldn't work and yet they're so loyal to one another but we didn't really get to dig into that. I wish we'd gotten a little bit more of their childhood together in particular. I'm firmly in the camp that the only reason Ryoken has the emotional intelligence that he shows towards Yusaku and Takeru further down the line is because of having spent 10 years with the hard mode trauma trigger of Spectre (lol).
Oh well, fingers crossed that we get something when Spectre finally debuts in Duel Links.
Also I'm running my Respectfulshipping event in January again, hoping to post prompts end of November/beginning of December. I need to start brain storming some.

Aluminum is literally from an alien planet. Come on, this is practically common sense, how else would it have this almost mystical ability to suppress telepathic brainwaves? Thats why I wear an aluminum hat. And yes, it is aluminum. Big foil calls it tin but it isnt, its aluminum, thankfully, tin wouldnt work it has to be alimonim, and so I wear an aluminum hat to keep me safe from telepathy. Unfortunately, it also prevents me from using telekinesis. which is literally real. Everyone has it, but unfortunately most people just don't realize because they've never tested themselves but I know the truth. and the awful truth of the matter is that in order to protect yourself from aliens you must sacrifice your telekinetic abilities. But its woryh it, i have to wear it or I'm at risk of psychic attacks. Wretched things, psychic attacks, because its ends up to be difficult to track down your opponent. If you were to getpunched in the jaw , well, you'd know which direction you got punched and youd od course be able to see your attacker. It's not like that for psychic attacks, very dissimilar. Of course this is't to imply that the aliens are malicious, no no, but the telepathic abilities can make your mind explode if theyre not careful, so it's better to be safe than sorry. Not unlike using a seatbelt! I think everyone should wear an aluminum hat, it's very practical. It even keeps your hair dry in the rain! Wellfor the most part. I have a bit too much of my own hair sticking out of it, so it doesn't really keep mine dry, but my point still stands. Have you ever heard Foil by Weird Al? I don't agree with the theories he mentions in that song, but he had the right ideas with his aluminum foil hat. Aluminum foil is general great, it has all sorts of purposes, but it's most useful one is definitely making into a hat and protecting yourself from brainwaves. From aliens, and even your fellow man. Wait, foil, as in the song, reminds me, tea. Have you ever noticed how much paranormal beings and cryptids love tea? Whenever I've encountered one such being, they almost always offer me a cup of it. It's practically a garentee, Ivan, that a supernatural figure will offer you it. Counting when I haven't been offered is easier. And even then, when I haven't been, they still love drinking it themselves. I've been able to fend off huge threats by offering to make THEM some tea. Curious, isn't it? Anyways, back to restate my main point, I think aluminum was brought to Earth by ancient alien contact. This said ancient alien contact was likely Ocularan-Earthan, as evidenced by the evidence found of tall, lanky, antennaed, glowing humanoids with no eyes in ancient cave art
That's all very interesting! But I'm not Ivan

- has little inside jokes with himself and will sometimes laugh to himself out of nowhere
- ALSO ridiculously nosy, but heās better at hiding it
- defends reading icha icha for the plot to the death (āif you havenāt read it you canāt have an opinionā āyes i read the porny bits, for the EMOTIONAL VULNERABILITYā)
- gives people little electric shocks when shaking hands sometimes, extra points if he makes their hair go staticky
- tends not to look people in the eyes when heās talking to them. not out of fear or trauma or whatever, he just doesnāt do it. i dont do it either, idk why, which is how i know itās fucking annoying to other people, but i find it kind of funny
yamato
- frowns at toddlers. he doesnāt realise heās doing it, but he is
- his skin is always ice cold its kinda freaky
- dares kakashi to give people little electric shocks when shaking hands sometimes, extra points if he makes their hair go staticky
- likes talking in big words about his very niche interests to people that neither know what heās saying nor give a shit
- very big on pretending to know whatās going on at all times; has a very strong need to be the smartest person in every room heās in

Alright I just finished episode four and this is probably gonna be a longer post since I gotta lot to say and since I feel like we are finally making some progress with the episodes since this is the first time we get to see Uni and what can I say heās a cutie
The one thing I found interesting about Uni is that he doesnāt transform like the other slugs. Yeah he clearly has powers but he doesnāt have I think the word is a megamorph form which I was kinda surprised about. I thought they said that he mimicked the other slugs powers but he just stayed in his normal form which I can see why some might think heās a flopper
Also gotta say I love seeing Eli and Trixieās reaction to Uni just causally flying back to them. Eli looks so excited and the smirk on Trixieās face is so funny to me like she already knows theyāre gonna take this slug home
And the way Eli like cradles him in his hands is so cute too. I just love Uni already and heās literally been on screen for like less than 5 minutes. But speaking of what Uni can do he transformed some of the ghoul slugs into like baby ghoul slugs which are adorable
Look at them theyāre so cute!! I feel like Iām going to be saying that a lot with these episodes. Iām excited for the few episodes because I think weāll get to see some of the other slugs as babies. Like weāll get to see little baby Burpy and Iām so excited!! Okay now putting my tin foil hat on I want to discuss about the ghouled hoverbug slug and clearly Dr. Blakk and discuss some of my theories.
So the hoverblade as I think it was called flies past Trixie and Eli and Trixie questions why a hoverblade is following them. Nothing was mentioned of how the slug looks and I was waiting for them to say something but they didnāt. And itās not like they donāt have the budget to make regular ghouls because they clearly make new baby ghoul slugs so Iām still convinced that maybe itās a new form of ghoul slug especially since it goes back to Dr. Blakk. Speaking of Dr. Blakk
Itās definitely him. I mean look at the hair and the silhouette. So what happened to his gigantic ghouled form in ROTE. Maybe he unghouled himself. I feel like if a slug can be reversed from being ghouled then maybe a human can too. Also I know some people are not going to be happy that Blakk is back but I feel like maybe it could make some sense. Last thing we know about the show is that Tad went to the deep caverns. He probably ran into his dad and maybe somehow brought him back to Slugterra. Maybe they used the portal that was shown in the eastern caverns movie. I mean the shorts are called ascension and most of the Slugterra movie and titles names make the most sense like return of the elements and eastern caverns. The titles are not here to trick you so maybe ascension means ascending back to slugterra. I know some probably thought this meant the surface but who knows. Also I question what would happen if the universal slug was ghouled. Like would all slugs be affected? Is the universal slug like the original slug that created the elementals? If it makes other slugs into babies maybe when ghouled does it do the opposite like make them really old? What if he canāt be ghouled? It makes sense why Blakk wants to go after it, itās like a super rare slug so rare that most people think itās a legend. But weāll probably find out in the weeks to come I just wish we didnāt have to wait so long
