that‘s very sweet, thank you 🥹🤍 i‘m not participating in any of the upcoming ao3 challenges, sorry—they always seem super fun though!! i‘ve always been a little too shy and hesitant to participate lol, and i‘m such a horrible, horrible writer when it comes to fulfilling prompts and finishing until a deadline i feel like so my brain kind of blanks out of these things.

never say never, though 😊 i‘ll defo not make it this year anymore because frankly i‘m in a little writing slump/writers block lately and i‘ll be away on vacation for most of september with little time to write probably….although i‘m hoping a change of scenery will maybe bring some creativity flow and inspiration back lol. but perhaps in the future i‘ll convince myself to be brave about these things and participate 💗

you don‘t know how excited i am whenever any of slide in here to say you‘ve started watching motogp! so my honor to receive such an ask!!! and welcome to the circus i see you have good taste and picked our best monkey aka mm93 🙂‍↕️

regarding writing: i do have a few fic ideas for the future and two even started but tbh i haven‘t written pretty much anything at all this last month… but i‘m sure at least one will hopefully see the daylight some day (idk if soon tho…) (also yswtt my beloved…i miss my babies. just a little. (lie, it’s very much))💗

[Beware of long ass answer below because uhm, huge question, there‘s so much lore on so many situations and people that it‘s hard to get into any of it lol]

okay SO idk if my judgement is trustworthy by any chance truthfully because i very much have my faves and, look, they can do nothing wrong in my eyes. yk. and i don‘t hate any of the riders, i‘m mostly indifferent about quite a few where it‘s like ok am i happy to see you winning? yeah sure go ahead that‘s great. am i totally rooting and gutted for them…? no. there are a few where it‘s like, mhm, i dislike them but i will say i very much am a person who enjoys when someone is a character™️. like,,, do i like their ass? not necessarily, but they do bring great show and drama and i respect that.

that being said (and just know to take everything with a pinch of salt, it‘s merely my opinion) here are a few riders that i think what i said applies to: i don‘t hate them, sometimes i may dislike them, but i think they bring enjoyment.

• maverick viñales: HAHA oh my god where do i start with this man??? probably the guy i have the most love-hate relationship with. uhm, i think he is a whiny loser half of the time. said it. he‘s a great rider when everything goes perfectly right for him, or…not at all. he’s a little bitch-ass … BUT he‘s an absolute character™️ i fear and he has served us DRAMA in the past, especially in 2021 with yamaha!!! if you‘d like you can see it all on the docu motogp: unlimited on amazon prime. long story short, he had a rough time with Yamaha, and got fired halfway through the 21 season after he was caught purposely trying to blow up the bike’s engine during the austrian gp because he was angry. yup. dramaaa! also he WILL start a FIGHT! like, a bitch-fight in the gravel, as can be seen at French GP 2023 where he collides with pecco, stomps over to pecco and everybody thinks he wants to help him up but oh no, he came to throw fist! apparently, allegedly, (tbh i don‘t remember all too well so…pinch of salt) but yeah allegedly maverick also wanted to start a fight with fabio quartararo??? uhm. yeah. don‘t like him but he serves drama.

• pedro acosta: now. i personally don‘t love pedro. i don‘t hate him either. (except for the fact that he’s on a ktm… you need to know i’m a ktm hater. it’s a personal thing. yes it’s irrational no i will not change my mind) he can come off as cocky or arrogant at times, a little bit pissy, a bit prickly, a bit…peculiar? well. there was a bit of a moment a little time back because he was hailed to be „the next marc marquez“ and all that from all sides when he came into motogp and he answered a question about it with „…who?“ ye some marc fans were mad. not me personally bc i think it was just sarcasm lol but yeah. but i very much do enjoy his pr-untrained ass. can’t be tamed. he gets cookie points for that. AND he always delivers banger pictures or moments with facial expressions because he apparently just can‘t control them.

• johann zarco: i will say………idk that much about him. he was quite a bit hated in the fandom a while back because he was openly anti-vaccination during covid times??? (but tbf if we are going political here….all of those men have done and said dumb bullshit. all of them across the bank. so i will try to stick to paddock related stuff) either way zarco is mostly indifferent to me. great rider when it comes to tricky conditions as we have seen a few times this year! gambler when it comes to taking risks with tires. always does backflips when he wins because he used to be a gymnast! also…….i think he‘s a gossiper. like,.. he likes to tell people‘s tea like no one‘s business. apparently he called pedro out for being bad at sex because the walls of the motorhome were thin?? GIRL— pedro pack yo bags it‘s time to find a new motorhome for your rendezvous. he‘s exposed someone‘s else’s business before i could swear but i don‘t remember rn sorry. give that man a pdocast and a mic and he will tell you all about the tea with his french accent and always a little sad eyes.

• aleix espargaro: he retired at the end of 2024 but he is a honda test rider now so you may see him around time to time—i think hungary gp next week already? okay. so. aleix. a chaaaaracter. you either love or hate him i guess. had a time where he was veeery hated in the fandom BUT personally i‘ve always loved his hothead. was everything he did always right? oh no. but was it entertaining?? oh hell yeah. to preface: he has anger issues. like. zero to one-hundred VERY quickly!!!! he once got a penalty for slapping franco morbidelli. yuh. he also kind of had beef with someone all the time? i swear you could see the smoke coming from beneath his helmet whenever something went wrong lmao. memorably he once finished a race one lap too early and lost many positions………ALSO aleix is the daddy of the paddock. like. sugar daddy. he collects twinks like nothing else. very notably jorge martin!!! his sugar baby. both very straight very in love with their wife/gf. both very no homo. obv. this evidence below? oh. uh. normal no homo friendship between two guys….them bitches gay

now, a few random facts and moments i love that i can present you:

• miguel oliveira is married to his step-sister …. and a dentist. somehow. yeah….

• andrea dovizioso (retired in 2022, one of THE best riders to never win a championship unfortunately,,because of marquez prime years,,but oh he gave marc a RUN for his money so many times!!! also THE man. the man.) basically announced his major split from factory ducati due to issues with gigi dall‘gna in 2020 with his ass patch saying „unemployed“. yes indeed. ICONIC. long story short was that he had problems with ducati‘s management etc. especially gigi, so they departed at the end of 2020. in austria 2020, dovi won the race and gave ducati their 50th motogp class podium (if that‘s correctly remembered by me) which was basically a big fuck you at ducati for letting him go as a rider….he went up on the podium and pointed to himself on the top step with his middle fingers, so a literal middle finger right into duacti‘s FACE! in all public. HAHA KING.SHIT.!!!!! gifset here. king shit. big dick energy. nothing more can be said. dovi‘s the man.

• joan mir won the 2020 worldchampionship with only 1 race win and through being consistent. never say never!! also: joan mir one of the funniest bitches, i do not accept joan mir slander in my household!!! that‘s my little rat. i love him. he once ca 2021 called out marc in the media for towing in qualifying….then he had a whole *suprised pikachu* meme moment when the media obv WROTE articles about him criticizing marc and got scared. so he ran to marc‘s pr manager like a dog with his tail tucked in. said he didn‘t mean that yk hahah,,,,and the pr manager said oh say that to marc‘s face please idgaf. joan almost choked on his spit. then went to MARC and LIED like no i never said that about you! (he daid exactly that) and please do not be mad 👉🏻👈🏻 …marc, however, was doped out on painkillers all 2021. and just stared at joan like a soulless serial killer plotting his death. cue joan sweating gulping fumbling. then marc smiles his little killer smile and tells him it‘s fine :) he understands :) and joan looks relieved like nothing else. whole scene featured in motogp:unlimited again but here‘s the clip uploaded on tumblr: reference

• uccio salucci (now team manager of vr46 team so you will probably sometimes catch sight of him; valentino rossi‘s right-hand-man and childhood best friend) allegedly used to run a facebook hate account about marc marquez. uh. yes. yeah. he‘s kind of the guy who enforced the rosquez divorce? there‘s a lot to him actually. i get shivers down my back when i see this man. no the valentino and marc fallout was totally normal why are you asking? *desperately tries to close can of worms*

OMG AUTUMN ITS HORRIFYING

I have the ChatGPT app on my phone because it helps me with my intrusive thoughts as they are troubling me and it’s related to something i can’t share with my parents as a university student. But holy crap i was curios about how someone can even generate 100k word fics with ai because whenever i generate a model essay for school it’s like nearly 200 words max. But i tried to improv it and said generate me it to be 7000 words and they said that’s to much but i can break it in parts and legit started sending me chapters with full on chapters. I didn’t even have to publish any work before head all it took was for me to enter tags i found interesting like a short summary . I didn’t read it so i don’t know how it went but holy shit there might be more users than we thought if it’s that easy for my pea brain to use

ah yeah i do think that you can‘t create a whole 10-20k chapter at once with ai but it‘ll do it for you in parts like you described. i actually noticed that myself back then when i read a work of pitlanelover (not yet aware of the ai usage) and noticed that it would sometimes have paragraphs repeated, with the same scene or conversation happening but written slightly different…which in hindsight was probably stemming from the fact that ai only appears to give a certain amount of words and therefore only in parts. at first i was like okay no problem happens during editing and perhaps rewriting a scene, i know i surely have made that mistake in one of my fics too where i just read over it/didn‘t notice during copy pasting from docs to ao3 maybe. yk. but yeah it did get suspicious after it happened repeatedly and it was one of the first flaws that gave it away actually.

i would quite honestly even label myself more of a slow writer usually lol. it‘s either 5k in a day with an inspiration boost or 500 words a week…or lately, 5 words in one whole month. 😅 don‘t put yourself down at all! 🤍

Hi there. I recently finally got the motivation to write my long planned f1 fic, but it seems there’s so much going on with f1 that it’s overwhelming me so much. The ai stuff, the wag hate and any kind of real life drama, anything. I love that f1 and fandoms can make me so happy, and Im already trying to curate my online experience, but a lot of the good authors I follow on tumblr still react to asks about real life stuff and that’s just too much, like I feel like Im constantly thinking about fandom related stuff. Obviously the easy answer to this would be “well curate your online experience harder” but how do you manage it? I want f1 to be a small joy in my life, to scroll tumblr for some memes and write my fanfic, but how do I tune out everything else?

oh, i genuinely get you so much. i fear i‘m perhaps, probably, the wrong person to ask this almost because i would indeed say that ‚curating‘ your social media and limiting access to everything is almost kind of the way to go about that… sincerely, i‘ve struggled with this whole thing years ago already and it‘s led me to delete my then tumblr account, abandon my old ao3 account and unfollow everything f1 related on socials because, just like you said, there is so much happening and it has merely become overwhelming.

i‘ve come back (no shit sherlock) (also insert *surprise bitch, bet you thought you‘ve seen the last of me*) but i‘ve since kept my f1 space very, very limited.

in fact i only truly allow myself to consume any f1 content on tumblr. and even so, i think i barely follow 10-15 people on here and i do, like a bit of an asshole, to protect my peace, simply unfollow accounts again whenever i find them posting content i simply have no interest in seeing all the time. i also don‘t follow any f1 accounts on instagram, for one, at all. barely a few of my fave drivers, and that‘s it.

and i will say, doing such a „cleanse“ (we‘re purifying ourselves from the f1 demons here anon😂) has quite honestly helped me, personally, so much. especially on the social media platforms where, quite frankly, so much bullshit and drama is coursing around all the time.

i would almost kind of say that you have to train yourself a bit and just…scroll whenever you see something that you don‘t like/agree with/don‘t want to see. which is far easier said than done! because i truly do think it is so easy to get roped into all the stuff that is happening all around. in my humble opinion, f1 has blown up so out of proportion in ways that have nothing to do with the sport anymore, and the whole wag culture, the often times parasocial interest in the personal lives of the drivers, their lifestyles, all the media attention and coverage. it at times feels like a reality tv show, rather than a sport anymore. i think i could talk about this for hours, though, lol, so i will stop myself here.

long story short, i unfortunately do think that simply (but yet again it’s not so easy) curating your fandom space and limiting access and visibility to almost a minimum does help the most. and truly learn that sometimes, ignorance very much is bliss. and to discipline yourself to scroll past some things, not click on those posts, not view these comments.

so really my answer is not that much more helpful to you, i‘m sorry!! 🥹

and i dearly hope that you still want to upload your long planned fic even through all the ai „discourse“ that has been going on. i know it can be disheartening and discouraging with all of that happening and make you doubt whether it‘s also still worth it to upload your own fics anymore, but i want to encourage you that it is <333 🤍

Omg yeah! I know people who have used au to generate comments then, many of them. I am an anime fan so i was reading a fic about an anime couple and on every single chapter (30chps) there were 4 para long comments by the same used complimenting the author on every little detail and twist is the chapter.

I’d even commented on that and the author has spoken rudely to me since

i just genuinely, sincerely, really, truthfully, disrespectfully don‘t understand why. i mean which writer doesn‘t love to receive thoughtful comments? we all do. but when it‘s just ai generated it loses all it‘s sentiment…

Wait! Pitlanelover does that too? Now that i think about it, it makes sense too, i remember her posting almost 2 - 3 chapters everyday and about GingerVS being a child i hope they aren’t to young like 1-15 because like, her fics were explicit. There are so many authors who i liked who have left no trace about themselves. I used to love several fics by an author named reveushe and i can’t find them in ao3. I think they have another account tho as I was reading a fic with a Spotify playlist linked and their name on Spotify was sognareveushe or smth but they’re fics are gone.

I think using AI to generate fics is fine but i should be used for personal enjoyment not and not to be published on public platforms claiming them to be authentic

ohh yeah pitlanelover is definitely doing that too (apparently even using ai for comments and stuff,,,gurrlll what) AND they‘re plagiarizing people and have done awful, and quite frankly insane from what i‘ve gathered, shit. like,,,where are we and what has all of this come to seriously. but there‘s more to that in detail in this post right here. honestly it‘s just best if you mute and block that user on ao3

and there‘s also this post too where a few more ‚known‘ or obvious ai writers that frequently clog the lestappen tag are listed. honestly it‘s already a crazy enough difference when you block/mute all these users on ao3 and see that the tag is already a lot less overfilled.

i have no idea how young gingervs was, although i don‘t think that young either. i‘m counting teen as like 16-19 lol, 15 and below is just…a child to me 😅 (i‘m sorry haha i do realize i tend to talk like i‘m a fossil on here dude. i get why some of you think i‘m like 30ish. i‘m not!😂)

as for keeping ai writing to oneself—well yeah, and i know i did mention that too in my addition to a post, because some people really do use the excuse „nobody writes what i want to read specifically so i popped it into ai“ but the thing is…and i don‘t know how ai writing really works step for step because i have truly never touched ai to write with a ten foot pole and i don‘t have any intentions to even just to test it out, but, you have to feed the program something, right? like it needs at least a little smth to mimic, i guess? so, are people writing a little bit by themselves and then feed it to ai and it does its thing?? or does it straight up use other people‘s writing that it has been fed with already. like. either way, it‘s bad. and uploading it with the intention of just farming kudos and comments is bullshit obv.

oh and for reveshue, i unfortunately do not know all too much about anything that may have happened? i do however believe that they may have switched to the user maxieldelrey on ao3 but please do not quote me on that as i‘m not a 100% sure😅

Oh..GingerVS did use ai pictures in her fics but now that i think about it, she used toe pump out 8-10k worded fics/chapters almost everyday. I used to be amazed about how someone who i thought was a working adult could write that much. But then again we might never know. But as an addition she never seemed to have a writers block with her huge fic

…yeah, i was a little shocked too in general about how many ai writers are/were (unfortunately there are still so many) posting in the lestappen tag! i was admittedly not aware for a long time because i simply didn’t read much throughout the time of writing yswtt but i did kind of take notice that every time i would check the tag on ao3, it was just….so much content of fics posted in one single day, not even a week but a day, and it was suspiciously kind of always the same people…. i also admit that a whole while back i fell for the trap of pitlanelover (who also, now quite obviously, uses ai to write their fics and also plagiarizes people?? which…damn. gtfo.) and i read like two or three chapters of one of their works and i did not realize it was ai until way later.

i think it‘s an absolute shame that the fics people have actually poured their heart and time and creativity into are getting lost in the swamp of „authors“, or rather just users, who use ai to flood the tag with a new (or even multiple!) fic update(s) almost every day.

as for gingervs, i didn‘t read all too many of her fics but i interacted with her on here a few times and she was always very sweet, though i feel like she may have been rather young, so perhaps that is an aspect too. i feel like young people/teens are far more inclined to use ai because it’s just…rather normalized to them, by now. i too at first was like damn, admirable how fast she can write and fulfill prompts all the time, like, i wish… until actually only recently i kind of started to find it rather suspicious just how many fics in such a short time she put out. but like i said, i wasn‘t really all too aware of how common ai use has become, unfortunately.

i however do not at all want to talk ill of any kind behind anyone‘s back or if they are not here to defend themselves;

i just hope we can encourage new writers to actually write their fics, even if they feel it is not „perfect“ or just not that good, etc., instead of using ai for it. i do certainly think that the usage of ai also stems from a place of insecurity in their writing, and ai is an easy and quick way to „„„fix“““ that. putting fix into big fat quotations because i do not think it fixes anything at all and just turns your work into something generic and soulless.

writing is a form of art, and i do not think it is meant to be perfect, because such a measurement simply does not exist for it. beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say, no? what you might not like, someone else loves. the fic you wrote and think is so awful? someone else quite probably really loved that! and i do think that it‘s beautiful how our writing evolves, too, because ofc we always learn and better ourselves and it‘s just…an artform you have to craft. it takes years and decades and yeah, quite possibly you will always feel like your works can be better. but i genuinely believe there is beauty in that. so screw ai, please.

hi you! oh yes, gingervs did delete her tumblr & ao3 account and therefore all her works a little while back after there was a lot of discussions about the growing ai usage in fics in the fandom. (idk if this has been a problem in general within the f1 rpf world, but with lestappen it really is quite a lot) some people got called out/accused of using ai to write their fics and this author was one of them too.
