oh! Since you also do requests with hybrids, could I ask for wolfhybrids (or fox) hashiras x reader? Like hashiras see the reader as the perfect mate material, so they try to get closer to them by courting them in their own ways
Male Hashira x Reader - Prey tell?
author's note: the title is a pun, my humor is dry. i fell down the stairs and sit in a hospital since yesterday.
pairing: Tengen x reader, Obanai x reader, Rengoku x reader, Sanemi x reader, Giyuu x reader, Gyomei x reader
content warning: wolf!hybrids, a/b/o, kny!au
i've been thinking a lot about this idea now, especially which rank each hashira would have. alpha? beta? omega? it was quite hard, but i allowed myself to create a little au for better understanding.
to not mess things up, i decided that the reader will be an omega in this au. all the hashira are considered alphas, which of course has a reason too.
i've went through the a/b/o thing over the past two or three days and to put it simply: alpha is the equivalent to strong, omegas are weak in comparison.
the hashira are the strongest swordsmen in the corp, it would only be right to rank them as an alpha (or a beta).
you, on the other hand, have been fighting your way to the top. omegas are weaker than most, but you possess a strong mind, which helped you work your way up.
naturally, the day will come that you catch their attention, if only for the fact that you're an omega. i also imagine omegas to be more rare than alphas and betas, since they take on a weaker role in this au.
Tengen:
• he's smitten since day one - an alpha different from any you've met yet. smug smirk and tall body towering over you the minute your scent hits his nose.
• your scent gives him the same feeling the scents of his three wives do. you're so small, perhaps not physically, but your weak omega presence makes his protective instincts flare up.
• just another day or two and three women are by your side, two betas and another omega looking at you with happiness and a feeling of finally coming home.
• you'll learn to love all of them - courting one is courting all. Tengen's not surprised to come home and find all of you nuzzled together in a cuddle pile.
• and if that isn't enough to turn you into a proper mate of his, shiny presents and lots of time squished between four other people will surely do it.
Obanai:
• small and weak. how did you end up near the alphas? he's suspicious when he heard of you, no omega would be able to turn into a hashira. he needed to see that for himself.
• nearly falls off his spot in the tree when he sees you and a comforting scent hits his nose. he's almost embarrassed by the way his fluffy ears are twitching, trying to listen to your conversation with Rengoku.
• he follows you around for a few days, mustering up the courage to talk to you after nearly a week. you looked up when the man sat in front of you, another bowl of food in hand.
• he doesn't talk much, only telling you that omegas should eat more than you do. you awkwardly look at him for a while, taking the bowl after another minute and thanking him.
• the action alone got him blushing under his mask, bringing you food for the next month when he finds you eating somewhere around the training grounds.
Rengoku:
• he's one of the calmer ones when he hears about your rank as a hashira. an omega got ranked this high? what incredible talent you must possess!
• he's by no means against your way of living, but he can't keep his mouth shut about how "you should stay home and get protected by a proper alpha!" it's no insult and you can sense that much, but you find yourself disagreeing.
• once he's sure that you're the perfect material for a mate, he'll court you the proper way, just like his mother once told him.
• it's just that his "proper courting" nearly has you running away in embarrassment.
• "dear [name], allow me to show you my interest through the traditional ways of courting one's future mate!"
• your agreement only came a day later, after you survived his booming voice right behind you in the midst of a forest's silence. next time he shouldn't sneak up on you like that.
Sanemi:
• hah? ridiculous. a small thing like you is supposed to work midst the likes of him? don't make him laugh, he could eat you up for breakfast.
• with that attractive smell reeking from your body, you wouldn't survive a day. he would see you become a demon's snack sooner than later.
• his jaw nearly hits the ground when he sees you outsmart the lower rank demon in front of you with speed and flexibility instead of strength.
• he grumbles about your stupid cute presence, sweetly roaming around him. you're truthfully just going on about your day, but it's enough to make his mind go blank.
• you're the perfect mix of strong and obedient for him, listening so well to him, because "he's done this job longer than you and you were happy to learn."
• internally smacks himself when he tries signalling his courting intentions by gifting you clothes heavily drenched in his scent.
Giyuu:
• he didn't voice his worries, but an omega living this kind of life? any alpha would be worried, right? especially since omegas have gotten so rare these days!
• but, oh, you're so sweet and nice. you once cooked him some soup and he swore you needed an alpha's protection - his protection.
• if he could just steal you away and ensure your safety, but he knew that would make you unhappy. so he makes sure to keep you safe by following you like a lap dog.
• it's not uncommon to see the new omega and the gloomy hashira take a walk together. people tend to avoid you, feeling unwell because of the intense stare the alpha behind you gives them.
• some of them swore they have seen the two of you nuzzle against each other. a hint of his scent had previously started lingering on your uniform too.
Gyomei:
• is it just your imagination or have you been joining missions with the stone hashira more often? no, it's definitely true.
• ever since he has taken a liking to you, he had started courting you by ensuring your safety and happiness.
• he doesn't know a lot about proper courting, mostly because it didn't interest him for most of his life. his courting is really special, but you don't mind.
• instead of bestowing gifts upon you, he takes you to special places he has found, most of them with a unique smell - a waterfall or a meadow full of flowers.
• he tries to gouge your reactions, mostly trusting his ears and tail, because he sadly can't see your beautiful face.
• you find yourself blushing with the way his ears often twitch around you, trying to listen to your every breath and laugh.
• your favourite times are when a protective tail brushes against your back, inviting you into a long session of cuddling.

Not Letting DamiJon Lose!
I'm not letting the DamiJon Nation lose without a fight, so here is my promo. Why vote DamiJon?
Childhood
These two practically grew up together as the Super Sons. They are each other's closest companions. Jon was the only person that stuck by Damian when no one else did. Even when Damian was about to kill KG Beast, Jon never turned against him. He was the only person that truly reached out to him just to make sure Damian was okay.
After this incident, Jon left the Legion of Super Heroes, hinting at the possibility that he sacrificed his membership for his friend. It could be for other reasons, but considering Saturn Girl kicked Damian out upon his arrival, I'd like to believe the Legion wasn't too fond of him.
2. "I know the sound of your heartbeat"
Even in the very comic where Jon Kent starts dating Jay, it's clear which boy he's much closer with. How can you not see sparks? These two were clearly made for each other both heart and soul!
3. Babysitting Lizzie
These two practically co-parent Lizzie Prince, the daughter of Wonder Woman in Tom King's run, from when she's five until she became the next Wonder Woman. They are still just as close and never change by the time Damian becomes Batman.
4. Even in Other Worlds
When Jon visits the Injustice Earth, he never gives up on Damian. No matter how evil Damian may become, Jon will always see the good in him. There is such a deep understanding these two have for each other.
5. The Promise
The one promise they made was to always protect each other. Damian was so genuine in that promise that he took off his mask. He hardly ever does this, even when making promises. It's clear Damian cares so much for Jon that he will abandon the Teen Titans to protect him.
Even going back to "I know the sound of your heartbeat," Jon said this when Damian was off the grid. This means Jon was the only nonparticipant of the Lazarus Tournament who knew where Damian was when he was off the grid. He's also the only person Damian has ever visited while off-grid, being that is when the Super Sons Special takes place.
6. This right here.
Also...
And...
So, let's get some votes for DamiJon. Co'mon, don't let DickBru catch up! Let's so our love! Vote here for DamiJon!

I thought about Zoro, again. And how he stays calm when all other mugivaras are in disarray. How he has to be the last pilar standing, because if not him than noone. And how some people deam him emotionless and uncaring because of that, because he keeps his cool and talk logic in hard situations. (Like whan they had to leave Vivi behind, or all this mess in inies loby). And I thought how I want someone to see it, and hug him and let him be vulnerable for a bit.
I dunno if I mean it like a prompt, or just want to cry with someone over Zoro. Maybe both. Anyway I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter in any format :')
god yes i knooooow. going insane over him tbh. like i went into this in my previous meta post about him, esp in enis lobby/water seven arc where he is so clearly affected by everything going on but can't show it. (or feels like he cant)
this reminded me of a thing i havent seen many people talk about, which is that zoro is very often 100% spot on with his predictions, gets ignored, and eats shit for it.
like zoro isnt stupid (despite what some characters and parts of the fandom think) hes incredibly perceptive and his cold read on most people will be accurate. theres several moments where he will predice something happening, rationally explains it to the crew how the best course of action is one thing and then luffy being stubborn and the protagonis does what he wants
not to say that thats a bad thing! i think its awesome to show their dynamic
like back on zou when they find out sanji left to marry big moms daughter and everyone wants to go and get him back
zoro is harsh in his wording bc he always is but the core of the matter is this: if they go mess with big mom, while they are already anatagonizing kaido, they'll end up having to deal with two emperors. he understands that sanji knew that which is why sanji left the way he did (partially).
and we all know how that ended
not only that i think this fight is a fantastic display of zoro's core character trait. unlike the three captains in this fight, he doesnt have an ego about it. he's not posturing or peacocking, he knows immediately shits gonna go down (killer too probably but with the mask its harder to tell what killer is thinking) and he's the one person that keeps an overview of the battlefield that includes everyone. law eventually does once he gets over his control issues
and of course thats not the end of it in wano
"ill suffer twice as much after" and he doesnt care, beats king, nearly dies or maybe does die and nobody knows about that whole thing
then of course in more recent chapters (spoilers for egghead below)
we have his fight against lucci which i find striking in how the other characters perceive it
like jimbei can be excused, he doesnt know zoro all that long but the crew acts like this is a point of pride to zoro, to finish the fight. when we've seen zoro run away from fights plenty of times. and to me what he doesnt get to say is exaclty what ends up happening
if lucci isnt taken out, he will tell the elders about the plans he was privy to in eggheads lab. which of course he does when zoro is dragged away
if the vegapunk hadn't stepped in
zoro would have fought the elder and most likely lost
same way he knew he'd not be able to win against kuma
he's telling everyone to stay out of it because he wants to protect them. its not an ego thing for him. he knows the second he stepped up to that fight hes probably going to lose. he's going to do his best to win but he's not delusional
and i find it noteworthy that we are continuing this plot line of the crew not understanding zoro or not trusting him and not to mention this
lucci telling zoro he's dead weight
and a little bit later, sanji telling him the same thing
like, thats not their usual banter. this doesnt make zoro angry to like be able to fight off lucci better or sth. the panel of him standing there just, flinching honestly haunts me. (i eat it up oda please do somehting with it)
esp curious paired with my above example where i think zoro understands sanji quite well where i dont think sanji does in return. (another reason why i cant see them romantically im sorry itd require so much legwork for me to make that work)
i think it can definitely be read as a setup of zoro feeling apart from the crew. i think part of that is just due to the nature of his position as first mate in everything but name. like in a literal sense he is their superior the same way luffy is all of theirs. and we know from the usopp argument that he takes that a lot more seriously than the others. so i dont think - at this point in canon - zoro would open up to anyone except maybe luffy but even then thats not really the kind of relationship they have - and i dont think any of them actually see whats going on or what zoro has been doing basically the entire time.
zoro hasn't been vulnerable since his fight with mihawk

Understanding Lennon McCartney Rewatch Part 1.4
Oh, John. It's hard because I'm like “fame was not good for that man” but I'm also like “he would've gone crazy with self-loathing if he didn't have the fame.”
John and Paul start to answer a question at the same time. John: no, go on, you can say it. They're seriously so married.
John's schoolboy flirting is cute, but what's more noteworthy to me is a) how happy Paul is to be shoved and b) how he instantly leans back into John. It's like they're bungeed together or something.
John gets me. Look how much he loves Paul bringing out the forced confidence shield to protect him. He's so in love. So turned on.
Here's my question about the death threats. Did the other Beatles actually receive them and tell Brian about them and keep them from John? Because that would be incredibly sweet and noble of them, but also, in that case, surely John received death threats too. Meaning he just didn't care about his own life and assumed the others were being left out of it because they hadn't actually said they were bigger than Jesus. Or did they have people filtering all their mail by that point? And Brian had been keeping the death threats from all of them? Because that could be interpreted as both protective and selfish of him. Does anyone know?
Again. I just love how Paul goes to bat for John over and over during this tour. Batting his eyes and playing with his hair and shouting down any and all criticism of John speaking his mind.
This moment is so telling to me. An interviewer who was up front at several concerts points out the looks and smiles between John and Paul which you can only see from the front and asks, “is it really that much fun every time?” The easy answer is, “Yeah. We like what we do. It's fun! But Paul gets cagey. “Oh well the thing is you know with things like that it's probably…” and he makes up a bullshit story about messing up on a song they haven't performed in a year. Why do that if you don't have something to hide? (Even if you're subconsciously hiding) That right there is a tip-off for me that they're not normal about each other.
Interviewer: are you guys breaking up? John, immediately and emphatically: No. Paul: "Depends what you mean by breaking up, you know . . . Because we can't go on forever like this, so we've got to think now and prepare for, you know, if it did happen. The time has come for us to break up, but we've realized the possibility . . . Of breaking up as a natural progression." Literally shut the fuck up right now, you're going to give John an aneurysm.
I understand. I know. I don't relate to Paul much but I do relate to his hyperactivity and his avoidant attachment. I make sure constantly that I'll be okay when all my relationships end. But you don't talk about that in front of the other person. Especially someone like John whose worst fear is being left. Come on. Think.
See, now look what you did, Paul. Here's John's answer the next time they're asked about breaking up.
And yeah, the klan being the ones to “stand up against the Beatles blasphemy” really proves my point from the last post I think. It's just masked racism.
It actually seems like Paul's more vocally political at this point in time than John is. I wonder what happened to change that? Was it just the influence of their respective wives? Was it just easier for them to play up the roles they'd been assigned for the most part?
Okay on this round of “are you breaking up” they look at each other first before they answer and then Paul goes “all together probably.” I wonder if they talked about their previous answers together and admitted – however cautiously or however veiled – that hearing the other say they might leave hadn't been fun. Who knows, honestly.
Paul and John often talk about making a radio show together apparently. Gosh if only they could've done that now. I'd make them my token white boy podcast. It'd be great. They'd be so lame and so adorable and they'd talk about recipes and politics and they'd gossip and rank other people's music. But anyway, what really gets me is the often bit. So they really did plan their post-beatle future together. Enough that it was a frequent topic of discussion between them. They planned to be together forever.
Ugh it always guts me that Paul brought a girlfriend to Paris with him to meet up with John.
Okay my tin hat is glued to my head for this but. But. Hear me out alright? So John starts filming on 09/19/66. He's there for 6 &½ weeks. Putting the end at the beginning of November, right when Paul goes in disguise and alone to Paris. Do we have tabs on John for those dates? John just talked about going around Paris in disguise. What if they met up by themselves and in secret? What then?
No fucking wonder John was exhausted with him. Damn. He takes a month and a half to write strawberry fields, shows it to Paul, then...
Interviewer: the songwriting team will keep going whatever happens will it? John: yeah, we'll probably carry on writing music Forever. It's just so ‘Obviously. Might as well ask me if the sun's going to come up tomorrow.’
His friend – try dangerous drugs with and take home to daddy type “friend” – just died brutally and suddenly two days ago, and this is what he looks like and talks like and he's going in to work like it's nothing. I just. Compare that to John talking about Brian's death? Obviously two very different relationships but still… Paul's upbringing really fucked him up so hard. He thinks he's not allowed to be human. What can I say? It's a drag.
AKA the happiest 6 months of John and Paul's lives.
I find it fascinating that Paul alone is asked to compose and record what would eventually become the carnival of light and that he just went ahead and included everyone in that. Really makes me wonder if he got a vibe off John that him doing the family way alone was hurtful or if they maybe even talked about it? Or maybe he just didn't like doing the family way without John.
Actually quite a lovely, forward-thinking, humble speech. Imagine being John, though. Watching that from home like “why the fuck is he philosophizing to the world without me?” Because you know John shares all those sentiments and might even have got there first. It would be infuriating.
“A lucky man who made the grade” is an interesting way to describe Tara and I can't help but wonder if it has anything to do with Tara being cool enough for Paul to associate with him. And Paul is many things but stupid is not one of them. He's going to at the very least wonder if this verse is about John laughing at his friend's death. Right? Like I know Paul's the repression CEO but seriously I don't think even he is that good.
Maybe that Leopold and Leob quote isn't just about tearing people down verbally. Maybe Wooler genuinely got a vibe of a sense of superiority and therefore lack of empathy with Lennon/McCartney.
I mean he really does sound like he's describing sex though, doesn't he? Emotional, loving, romantic sex. Followed immediately by Paul's “I'd love to turn you on” lyrics and the “down with pants” and “sword swallower” pins. Alrighty then.
What I would call my Beatles bio after watching this. "They Touched Dicks: The Only Logical Conclusion."

I don't even know what you can say to the people who somehow missed that all of Ed's violence is a) anti-imperial, b) protective against direct repeated threats to himself and his loved ones, or c) self-destructive in the hopes someone will respond by killing him during his suicidal spiral. (That last example is fairly indirect and performative and comes from a place of severe nihilistic suffering.)
I don't know what you can say to the people who somehow missed that the violence is triggering and traumatic and exhausting for Ed, and that he is desperate for a chance to live differently but has also never known any other life. Stede gave him the one true glimpse he's had of something gentler! Ed didn't fully know how fucked up his life was before because that was normal to him. That's what growing up traumatized does to you.
I don't know what you can say to the people who somehow missed that the suicidal spiral is a result of Ed's circumstances: of Ed being threatened by Izzy after Izzy repeatedly found ways to force Ed back towards the violent life Ed wants so much to escape, of Ed losing his one glimpse at safety and happiness through Stede and now having to face the darkness knowing he nearly found something different, of Ed feeling like the only way he can survive in this world is by being an "unlovable" monster he hates--and then he's confronted by Izzy telling him he's still not getting it right. Of course Ed gives up then.
I don't know what you can say to the people who somehow missed the show's themes about how much harm is caused by toxic masculinity and by masking your true self and by cultures founded on trauma and self-hate and burnout. (You do see the burnout in Ed, yeah?)
I do get why some people might not understand the complexities of Ed's relationship with Izzy--how codependent and enmeshed their identities are--or the layers of symbolism that position Izzy in the story as a metaphor for traditional pirate culture and its harmful impact. (Which is particularly triggering for Ed on a daddy issues level because that's his original trauma.) If you understand those things, the unique nature of the physical harm Ed does to Izzy in this story makes even more sense.
Ed also frequently communicates through metaphor himself. Him cutting off Izzy's toes is not only a show trying to convince Izzy he's playing Blackbeard right and not only a response to Izzy repeatedly threatening Stede/continuing to threaten Ed, but also is meant to physically represent the harm that Izzy has done emotionally to Ed. Ed is communicating to Izzy the only way he knows how anymore: "See how it feels to be forced to lose parts of yourself? Stede was a part of me. My hopes of softness and joy were a part of me. You cut those off too."
There is so much evidence against the thought that Ed is some irredemable, monstrous lover of violence who will hurt Stede someday. Stede would have to repeatedly and directly threaten someone else Ed loves first (which Stede won't do), and even then, Ed would really have to fight with himself.
It's not his nature, y'all, and I'm so frustrated that some people keep insisting it is. I'm frustrated about what that says about people's ability to empathize and consider reasons for or contexts behind behaviors--particularly when the character in question is an openly queer and likely neurodivergent indigenous man. Is it so hard to have compassion and forgiveness for him? Please don't get stuck in that punitive, dehumanizing mindset.
Redemption is so important, which is why I appreciate that Izzy gets a growth arc once he stops centering his entire identity on the Blackbeard persona and clinging to toxic masculinity. (Seeing Stede's impact, how different things could be, vs. the harm caused by the traditional ways, changes Izzy too!) Izzy's time, as a side character and mentor figure and piracy metaphor, does end, but first he gets to live with more meaning and unlearn many of the negative behaviors. That's the goal, right? To move forward.
#i try to avoid negative discourse but damn guys#edward teach#our flag means death#izzy hands#stede bonnet#my stuff

The au in which hylia is teh one who sealed or cursed Y/N. After discovering this the chain decided since to side with the villain of their stories for example. Skyward sword link works with demise and so on.
Aaaah, makes more sense. But still not clear enough? (Wait did I write this Au?) most of final big bads are uh…dead? So they can’t just resurrect them all Willy Nilly.
Maybe this is a list for each individual and not the chain as a whole but I dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Alright! Time to Wing it!
(I genuinely hope I answered this correctly 🥲🥲🥲)
But also that’s actually rather tricky if you GENUINELY think about it.
Cause yes, With Sky
Sky’s trust in Hylia is shattered when he learns she orchestrated (Y/N)’s suffering.
And he seeks out Demise, swallowing his hatred and disbelief to work alongside the Demon King.
And while working with Demise’s forces, Sky becomes hardened and more brutal.
Sky’s newfound drive may even surprise Demise, who quickly recognizes Sky’s tactical mind. Sky uses his knowledge of Hylia’s weaknesses, strategically placing Demise’s forces where they can inflict the most damage on her temples and followers.
But honestly? I doubt Demise survives, Sky
isn’t siding with Demise in spirit but probably manipulates their partnership to weaken Hylia. He gives Demise enough power to serve his plan, sowing just the right amount of discord to make Hylia vulnerable without letting Demise gain full control.
And while subtly sabotaging Hylia’s temples and weakening her mortal influence,
Sky’s primary goal is still to kill Demise, only after he’s used him to dismantle Hylia’s power. Sky plans to drive the final blow himself. (She probably escapes anyway. Much to his rage)
With Warriors
Warriors would joins Cia and Ganon, leveraging his knowledge of Hyrule’s soldiers to disrupt and weaken them.
Well, he’d play the part of hero until Ganon shows up and then just joins up with him…..or maybe…no…nah he has to wait, Cia would have spotted it before the darkness split her. (He still doesn’t like Cia tho)
Warriors knows every tactic the Hyrulean army will employ, and he’s relentless in using that to his advantage.
He becomes a spy within Hyrule’s ranks, (he can’t be a traitor if HYLIA betrayed him first. Thems the breaks) sending misinformation and sabotaging missions, all to bring Hyrule’s forces to its knees for (Y/N)’s sake. Warriors never falters, his loyalty to (Y/N) driving his every action.
Honestly Warriors pretends to remain a loyal soldier to Hylia’s cause within the Hyrulean army while secretly coordinating attacks that amplify chaos, allowing Ganon’s forces to strike where it hurts Hylia the most. He’s playing both sides.
Considering he’d make a brief trip to Skyloft, (and Nintendo never makes things clear about time periods.) I’m gonna assume each era is close enough to the heroes of the era that it wouldn’t be odd that Sky could send messages to Warriors.
He won’t hesitate to manipulate people he once considered friends if it furthers Sky’s plan to weaken Hylia, prioritizing (Y/N)’s rescue over everything else.
With Time
Time would see Ganondorf as a means to an end. He joins Ganondorf’s cause, using his knowledge of the temples and sages to disrupt Hylia’s carefully laid plans.
To Ganondorf’s forces, Time is terrifying, silent, calculated, and nearly impossible to predict. He holds a deep, simmering rage within.
And just in case anyone asks, within the mask, the Fierce Deity watches Time closely, seeing how the hero’s loyalty to his sword brothers contrasts sharply with his rebellion against Hylia. While Fierce remains bound, observing Time’s darker decisions with approval, he’d subtly align his energy with Time’s intentions, lending strength where it’s needed most. (Gotta protect his vessel ya know?)
Fierce Deity understands vengeance, perhaps better than anyone else. Even without communicating directly, Time can feel this resonance. There’s an unspoken agreement, Fierce supports Time’s defiance against Hylia’s will, seeing it as a just rebellion.
Time might notice that the power of the Fierce Deity feels especially potent when facing those aligned with Hylia or when defending his brothers. Fierce Deity’s own ancient rage fueling each strike.
While fighting beside Ganondorf, Time would have to craft a careful facade, (kinda like Sheik except he doesn’t have a magical disguise to hide his features….does he??) and considering the war of eras, he’d also be able to help Warriors with his side of things.
Ooooh the heroes that join Warriors could easily play the part of brainwashed heroes~
With Twilight
Well, bitter and heartbroken isn’t enough describe his feelings. He’s been heartbroken once by Midna. And maybe for a brief period of time, he genuinely thought (y/n) left him too.
So to find out Hylia was the one to take her away was….the limit.
So he’d strike a deal with Zant and Ganon.
But given Ganon probably still hates the hero cause of Time’s little act of slaying. So he’d side with Zant for a while.
He and Zant would create a network of darkness across Hyrule, corrupting places once sacred to Hylia I suppose? (Aw but I like Midna….)
His ferocity increases tenfold, and he finds bitter satisfaction in seeing the land Hylia cherished crumble under his hands.
He just wants his darling back.
With Wild
Well….Wild’s trust in the goddesses was already unsteady before with his own insecurities and self-doubts, but now it’s shattered, leading him to align with Calamity Ganon’s essence.
Not much going on since Ganon destroyed everything already and Flora is holding Ganon back. I mean, he’d wait until she couldn’t hold him back no more and then just switch the chaos?
He probably infiltrates the Yiga Clan, rising to a powerful position within their ranks to wreak havoc.
With Legend
Legend throws his loyalty to….i guess Yuga? (Boy he has a bunch of journeys.) seeing in him a chance to finally defy Hylia.
Or rather, he’d aid Lorule in gaining Hyrule’s Triforce. OR maybe he can’t…
…actually…maybe he just speeds up the poisoning of the land. Make it more Rulie’s era, after?
With Hyrule
Well Hyrule has always carried a subtle skepticism of authority (have you SEEN his era??) , so learning that Hylia, the goddess he once revered, is responsible for (Y/N)’s suffering would strike a chord.
This betrayal would make him question every act of loyalty and every sacrifice he made in the name of serving a higher power. He would quickly become resolute, deciding that any being capable of such cruelty doesn’t deserve his allegiance.
Hyrule’s protectiveness over (Y/N) would intensify. He would view (Y/N) not only as someone he cares for but also as someone wronged by a divine power. He’d become ruthless in his pursuit of freeing (Y/N) from Hylia’s influence and would stop at nothing, even if it meant forging dark alliances and exploring forbidden paths
To stand against Hylia and her agents, Hyrule would seek out shadow magic, using it to level the playing field against holy magic and divine forces. While he might initially be cautious, his dedication to protecting (Y/N) would outweigh his reservations.
Hyrule’s gentle spirit might begin to darken as he moves down this path. His compassion would remain, but his disillusionment would leave a lasting effect, making him wary of kindness that comes without reason and promises that seem too good to be true.
He’d become a hardened figure, mistrusting of any higher power and willing to destroy anyone who stood between him and his goal.
With Four
Four’s fractured self allows him to see all sides of Hylia’s betrayal, making him perfectly suited to side with Vaati and , Shadow.
Each color has a different way of undermining Hylia’s forces. Blue is calculating, Red is fiercely defiant, Green becomes a spy, and Violet dives into dark magic.
Together, they are a force of chaos, and their unpredictability makes them especially dangerous. So long as Vaati can guarantee (y/n)’s return and safety, he doesn’t care what he has to do.
With Wind
Wind is lured into Ganondorf’s cause, using his knowledge of the Great Sea and islands to spread rebellion among those loyal to Hylia. (Which aren’t a lot given most don’t remember Hylia in that era. But it doesn’t make it easier for him to make her out to be the devil.)
Wind adopts a reckless, defiant attitude, channeling his anger at Hylia into everything he does. He becomes powerful weapon in Ganondorf’s hands. (But remember folks, the heroes loyalty only stick to eachother and ABSOLUTELY their darling so Ganon dies if he can’t deliver on his promises!)

Do you really think reverse flash is in love with Barry? I don't mean for this to sound snarky I'm just confused. Thawne killed Barry's mom how can you say he's in love with him? I like all the things you post and rb about them I really enjoy the ship. I just don't get it can you explain?
The question "how can Eobard be in love with Barry if he hurt him" has both a short answer and a long answer. The short answer is that people are very much capable of hurting the ones they love, on purpose or by accident.
The long answer is that Eobard is a deeply disturbed individual who has never been the recipient of love, and because of that and of many extremely traumatic events (including but not limited to being brainwashed in prison, being trapped in a timeless limbo alone for years, being tortured and treated like cattle and put in sensory deprivation for ludicrous amounts of time, dying at the hands of the only person who had ever shown compassion towards him), he has a skewed perception of a lot of things and is extremely bad at emotional regulation.
Moreover, and this is something which is easy to overlook but it's actually very important, Eobard is not human. His actions are informed by his traumas, but the way he approaches pretty much everything (including his "problems" with Barry) isn't done the way a human would.
Eobard is a timeless, deathless creature which embodies one of the driving forces of reality itself (the Negative Speed Force). He lived probably more than a few hundred years considering how he keeps running around through time doing stuff, and how he keeps going back to watch past events and adjust the way he will interact with the timeline next.
He knows the huge impact that killing Nora will have on Barry, but from a moral and ethical standpoint it's not a big deal for him. Nora is less than a speck in time, an NPC who served her role for that briefest moment in which she existed. She is a big deal because she is a big deal for Barry, not because she's meaningful in any other way.
"But then he did want to hurt Barry when he killed her" Yes, absolutely he wanted to. Eobard didn't "just" kill Nora Allen - he went back in time and changed everything about Barry's life, made it so he had no friends, made him grow isolated and insecure and shy, lacking confident in his abilities. And he did it because he is very, VERY angry with Barry for one, and also because isolating Barry makes it easier for them to grow closer.
And it worked! Back in the Silver Age, when Nora and Henry were alive and not in prison, Barry couldn't be bothered with Eobard. For him Eo was just a random criminal with superspeed, and sure he was threatening because speedsters always are, but not that much of a big deal.
Now? Now Eobard is a primary element in Barry's life, a constant he's had to deal with basically since birth, someone who rewritten his entire life to make himself part of it in an indelible manner.
It worked because now Barry is more likely to fall for Eobard's manipulation, to listen to him, to just accept that he's THERE because he's always been. Near the end of Running Scared, Eobard tells him "run away with me", and Barry says yes.
Back in the Silver Age there would have been no way.
It's worth mentioning that to understand Eobard, you need to understand that everything he does, every single thing, has the end goal of being with Barry. Whether he's trying to protect him or trying to hurt him or trying to manipulate him, whether they manage to work together against a common enemy or they're on opposite sides of the fight, every single one of Eobard's actions is motivated by love (his personal, inhuman version of love).
"But if that is the case, then why doesn't he just tell Barry 'I love you'?"
Two reasons, and one is meta.
The in-story reason is that every time Eobard tried to do something good without masking it as horrible, it went sideways and backfired spectacularly - mix that with poor emotional regulation, and you have someone who's not going to be able to handle rejection and is outright scared of doing good things openly. I think if he told Barry "I love you" and Barry reacted badly it would hurt too much. Also he wants Barry to understand, and thanks to a couple of competent writers who sadly don't work on Flash anymore, we were getting there.
The meta reason is because DC is homophobic, plain and simple. Eobard DID SAY I love you many times except with words, because DC editorials won't let him. That's it. It's the same reason why Joker can't tell Batman "I love you" and has to do weird ass word plays and even more weird ass attention seeking maneuvers. They're stunted by reasons which no one but DC itself can control.
So in short. How can Eobard be in love with Barry and hurt him so much at the same time? Because he doesn't have many ways of express love, he has a hard time being caring, and every time he allows himself to be soft it backfires. Because he wants Barry to belong to him and will isolate him and make him suffer to get there. Because he's angry with Barry -- Barry hurt him too, rejected him and left him alone and refused to accept that Eobard is his lightning rod for a long time.
Eobard easily lashes out when he's hurt, and the less grounded he is the more vicious and violent he turns.
"But Zero, how can Eobard think that Barry will ever forgive him for having killed his mom?"
I don't believe Eobard was ever looking for forgiveness, but fun fact. Barry did forgive him already. Barry is not human either, and at this point I think he'd forgive Eobard just about anything, and despite how difficult everything is between them, he really wants to get to a place where they don't need to hurt each other.
The problem with this, and it's one of the reasons why they have so many issues communicating, is that Barry is in denial about many things - about being the Speed Force, about Eobard being in love with him, about how they're two constants through time and two sides of the same coin and basically can't exist without each other, about how they're each other's lightning rod.
Their relationship is very complex, absolutely not what it looks like at first glance, and it's colored by all the hurt there is between them. But again, ultimately understanding Eobard is understanding that love is what motivates him, even when he does the most horrible unhinged things.
In conclusion, have this panel from The Flash Age which is one of my favorite Flash comics, in which you can see the way these two manage to trust each other and fall into the right rhythm, despite the oceans of misunderstandings and suffering between them.
Pages from The Flash Age, by Joshua Williamson. In which Barry tells Eobard to "do the right thing", and Eobard just does it.
#thanks for asking anon#you didn't sound snarky at all no worries#I tried to be as exhaustive as possible without writing a wall of text#idk how well I managed#I just know I could talk about these two forever#my asks#eobarry#barry allen#eobard thawne#my meta

Jenna ortega x actress reader
As I walked down the red carpet at the Met Gala, I couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and nerves. It was my first time attending such a prestigious event and I couldn't believe I was invited. I was even more shocked when I saw Jenna Ortega, the stunning actress I had recently worked with on a horror movie.
I was more on the masculine side for a woman, often preferring to wear suits and ties instead of dresses. I was also quite introverted, which made attending events like this a challenge. But I was determined to make the most of it, especially since I had a chance to see Jenna again.
As I approached her, I couldn't help but feel a bit starstruck. She was wearing a beautiful gown that hugged her curves perfectly and her hair was styled in loose waves. She had a smile on her face as she greeted me.
'Hey, it's great to see you again!' she said, giving me a hug.
I couldn't help but feel a bit flustered by her warmth. 'You too,' I replied, trying to keep my cool.
We made our way through the crowded event, stopping to take pictures and chat with some other famous faces. As we caught up, I couldn't help but admire how down to earth and genuine Jenna was. Despite her fame, she was still the same humble and kind person I had worked with on set.
Eventually, we found ourselves in a quieter corner of the event, away from the chaos. We leaned against a wall and began chatting about our latest projects. I could feel my cheeks heat up as Jenna complimented my performance in our movie.
'You were amazing in the film. You really brought your character to life,' she said, smiling at me.
I couldn't help but blush, feeling a sense of validation from someone I admired so much. 'Thank you, that means a lot coming from you,' I replied, trying to hide my smile.
As we continued to talk, we eventually landed on the topic of our horror movie. Jenna's character was the love interest of my character, who became increasingly obsessed and ended up kidnapping her.
'That must have been intense for you,' Jenna commented, referring to my character's actions.
I shrugged, trying to mask the fact that playing such a dark character had taken a toll on me. 'It was definitely a challenge, but I enjoyed exploring that side of myself as an actor,' I replied.
Jenna nodded, seeming to understand. 'You did a great job. Your performance was chilling,' she said, shivering slightly.
We both laughed, but in that moment, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I had to remind myself that Jenna was just an actress, and that our movie was fiction. But then again, she was just so convincing in her role.
As the night went on, we stayed close to each other, enjoying each other's company. But then I suddenly felt someone grab my arm from behind. I turned around, startled, only to see a fan wearing a mask of my character from the movie.
'Can I take a picture with you?' she asked excitedly.
I hesitated, feeling a bit uncomfortable. But then Jenna stepped in, putting her arm around me protectively.
'Actually, she needs a break from pictures right now. Can we just have a moment alone?' she said with a sweet smile.
The fan backed off and Jenna turned to me, concern in her eyes. 'Are you okay?' she asked, her hand resting on my shoulder.
I took a deep breath, realizing that I had been panicking. 'Yeah, I'm...I'm fine. Thank you,' I mumbled, feeling embarrassed.
Jenna didn't push me to explain, and we continued to enjoy our night together. As we said our goodbyes at the end of the night, I couldn't help but feel grateful for her understanding and support.
But as I walked away, I couldn't shake off the unsettling feeling of being watched. It was almost as if someone was following me. Suddenly, I felt a hand grab my arm and I turned to see Jenna's concerned face.
'Hey, I just wanted to give you my number in case you need someone to talk to,' she said, handing me a piece of paper.
'Thanks, Jenna. I appreciate it,' I replied, feeling touched by her gesture.
And just like that, the night ended and we went our separate ways. I held onto that piece of paper like a lifeline, grateful for the unexpected friendship that had formed with such a talented and kindhearted person.
Little did I know, our movie had sparked a shared interest in the horror genre and Jenna and I later decided to film our own horror short together, this time with Jenna playing the obsessed lover and kidnapping my character. As we worked on set, I couldn't help but smile at the irony of it all. Our fictional roles had brought us together in real life, and I couldn't be happier.

can you please write yandere alphabet for sans from undertale?
I can try, sure! Doing this mostly from memory so I hope you enjoy!
Yandere Alphabet - Sans
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Stalking, Overprotective behavior, Possessive behavior, Jealousy, Violence, Kidnapping, Isolation, Trauma, Poor mental health, Fear of loss, Dubious/Forced relationship.
Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?
I feel classic Sans leans more into overprotective territory than anything, although he could also fall into possessive territory. For the most part Sans would be very laid-back and not much of a threat. Which means most of the time he isn't that intense.
However, I feel Sans has moments where he can be intense. He hides them well and for the most part is the usual carefree skeleton around you. But there always seems to be an aura of something dangerous with him.
Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
Sans prefers to keep things easy and stress free. Him being messy would only happen if he was pushed to it. Which doesn't happen often...
When it does, however...
He may not accept mercy.
Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?
Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?
Sans would treat you well if he ever did have to isolate you in such a way. He feels there's no need to mock you, not if he genuinely cares about you. Every need is tended to and you're in safe hands.
Even if you blame and hate him... he promises he still loves you.
He tries not to but his actions may come off that way.
Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?
I wouldn't really say Sans is all that vulnerable. After all he's seen he's most likely not. Rather hardened, actually. But he will try his best to show he cares and to show you how much you mean to him.
Although that's not to say he won't have vulnerable moments, like in the sense of a mental breakdown.
Upset but he's understanding. He knows what it's like to not be in control. But he assures you... what he's doing is far better than what he's gone through.
Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?
No and he doesn't.
Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
Seeing him snap. He doesn't want to hurt you but he may do it by accident. You've never seen him at his full power, you don't want to.
But nothing good can come from him when that eye sparks blue....
You've never seen him fight, so when he gets into a fight or shows signs of hitting a breaking point around you... that may be your worst experience.
Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
He wants to have someone he knows he won't lose. He wants to protect you. He wants to keep you with him as long as he can.
But with the possibility of RESET around every corner... he worries he'll never get that.
Maybe and he might lash out but most of the time he silently copes instead.
Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?
Overprotective, Subtle Manipulative, Slightly Possessive, Caring, and Laid-back. He seems like he'd be mostly docile... but may have moments where you see the truth.
Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
I imagine when he meets you and befriends you he keeps an eye on you. He teleports around to meet you and always seems welcoming. He doesn't seem all that bad.
Even when he expresses distaste towards others around you he still manages to stay so nice and comforting around you. Despite small outbursts, he may make you gravitate towards him. You can trust him... he only means well...
But by the time you realize his behavior is suspicious...
He already has you locked in his room.
His true nature? Yes.
Naughty: How would they punish their darling?
Isolation, maybe a bone cage. He refuses to hurt you... but he isn't against restraining you.
Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?
Patience: How patient are they with their darling?
Not many, for the most part he wants to give you your freedoms... unless he feels he can't.
Surprisingly patient, actually.
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
He might not... although he could always wait for another RESET to try again, right?
Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?
A little and maybe. But you're still never out of his sight.
Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?
Trauma, the RESETS, he may not want to lose anymore loved ones so he fixates on you.
Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
He feels bad and tries to help make you feel better. But if you need space... he understands and leaves you be.
Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?
Skipped.
Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?
Reciprocating his feelings is the only way I can think of.
Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?
Unintentionally.
Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?
He isn't a worship yandere but he clings around a lot. He would do anything to keep you with him.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
He can wait awhile... but I'd say months.
Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?
Unintentionally.

Warning: gore, mentioned of blood.
Author's note: One day I will write a detailed scene of Uta eating if this is received well. So be ready. In general however this is more introspective than anything else.
P.S. I thought of The Autopsy of Jane Doe for the film
Tokyo Ghoul, Uta x Human!Reader
Horror
Uta was watching you that night.
You'd gotten closer in the last few minutes, and the pillow that was propped against your crossed legs had tightened to your chest.
It was more of a game than anything for you. You even smiled as you watched the doctor spread the woman's chest like butterfly wings, though your nose wrinkled a little at the sight of it.
He had found you fascinating at that time, and somewhat disconcerting.
“If it impresses you too much we can stop seeing it.” He had told you, even if it was you who insisted in the first place.
Your laugh had been sweet: “Well, a horror has to impress.”
That's how it is, he thinks, for human beings like you.
But when Uta looked at the screen he can tell that those exposed muscles and protruding bones weren't so terrible, they weren't any different from what he sees every day, from what he himself causes.
Was it fascination and excitement that made you hug him now, or was it the unease of the macabre spectacle?
He wonders if you know, if you understand who holds you in his arms.
You're just lucky to be loved, little human, so fragile to break, to devour from head to toe. If it were up to him, not even the bones would remain of you. He would crush and ingest them like the drug you are. His poison, which he can't get enough of even if you make him feel these emotions, this anger and this adoration.
Can real life impress you too?
You chose him, him with his hands squeezing lungs still to be torn, him with his mouth already smeared with blood.
He hears the jingle of falling keys, your eyes are fixed on the corpse that emerges from the black bag. The human arms are already broken, closed inside a plastic bag, but you arrived in time to see the open chest, just like butterfly wings. Did you like it?
“Uta...” You start, you seem hypnotized by that vision.
He stands up, his sleeve wipes the blood staining his jaws without really doing it: "Sorry, I was just putting it away but... I got hungry."
His approaching you is a challenge that not even he dares to name. Your vision shifts from the half-open eyes of the dead man to those of the ghoul.
“Why…?” You just ask him. You know he never let you see anything like this for a reason, that he always wanted to protect you from this in his own way.
A whole body by the way. Ribs split open like a book left half open reveal a heart you can't see.
It's that man's heart, but it's yours that Uta is now trying to eat.
“What have I done?” Your voice comes out as a compliant sigh, your eyes close, but they just look tired.
“Why do you think you did something to me?”
Uta knows he's sneaky, maybe mean to you. But on the other hand, you chose him, crazy as he is. Meaningless mask maker, he can't accept that you love only a facade.
"Do you hate that I'm a human so much, Uta?"
No, he loves you to be human.
Loving you makes him feel alive. You are both anchor on earth and a feather in the wind that can escape from his fingers, a breath from him would be enough, or it would be enough to lean you on his tongue and swallow.
It would be so easy to make you disappear, but if he did it would be too cold for him. But he loves it, he loves you in every way that he knows.
That's why he plays like this with you, because he even likes the sense of guilt you put in his soul when you look at him with that wounded look.
“I thought you liked these things.” He says. That's why he pushes himself to the limit every time. He pushes himself and he pushes you.
Your eyes investigate his mute face.
“Can we get out of this together?” You ask.
“We always have.” He answers.
“You want?”
An inkling of alarm lights up in the back of his mind. You're as good at playing as he is now.
Your hands lean on his cheeks, caressing them slowly as if he's the one about to break.
“Did I hurt you?”
What a silly question you ask him, how can a human hurt a ghoul? But that doubt that claws at the back of his throat it’s you who caused it. Perhaps the day will come when you will run away from him, because you have understood that blood is not fiction.
“I am…the monster of the story.” Finally he says. His nose twitches a little as he reflects on his own words: “I even have the mask.”
You smile, and he's in your arms: “I really don't think you can find anything wrong with that.”
“Why, you find it wrong?”
“No.” Your lips brushes the tattoo on his neck “A ghoul that kills a human will never be as creepy as a human that kills a human, no matter how you look at it.”
It's probably as you say, even if Uta thinks he can't fit that pattern either, but that doesn't matter for now. For now he will just rest his face on yours, while his arm squeezes your waist to him.
“Maybe I'm just saying that because I have a ghoul of my own, but-“
“You say that because you're too weird for a human to be a good human.” He interrupts you by tapping his index finger on the tip of your nose.
Your laughter now has an aftertaste of revenge: “Be careful who you eat, my dear monster. You may be cursed one day.”
You slip out of his grasp to hide somewhere, waiting for him to finish what he started.
Uta sighs, but he doesn't try to hide the slight smile she gives him.
Cursed, huh? But in the end, a curse more or a curse less, what difference does it make?

Did anyone else find the ending to the Disney+ Percy Jackson series really unsatisfying?
The show wasn’t bad overall, though some of the acting felt a bit stiff and I didn’t like some of the changes. They removed a lot of the Cerberus stuff where he is neglected by Hades and just wants to play with someone. Percy and Annabeth were a lot quicker on the uptake about a lot of things, which was fine but removed a bit of the suspense from things like the Lotus Casino (I’m still disappointed they didn’t all get sucked into it like in the book - also, removing the taxi driver calling them Your Highness made me a little sad, though Percy learning how to drive the taxi himself made up for it) and Procrustes (they knew he was Procrustes from the start, and as such never got tricked into trying one of his beds). Other changes I didn’t mind so much (like the scene with Echidna) though I found it really odd how the had the whole thing around Medusa where it was like “don’t judge a book by its cover, not everything that looks like a monster is one” only to then turn around and go “actually yeah she is a monster”. It felt like it undercut the message a bit. Anyway, the main two issues I had were:
1.) Removing the scene where Percy makes the gods swear to claim their children by a certain age. It REALLY felt like a lot of the show was building up to that scene (Sally making Grover swear to protect Percy, emphasizing the importance of a sworn oath; the MULTIPLE conversations about how unfair it was that the gods treated their children this way; and the fact that it was solidly established that the gods have to obey certain rules) only to have Percy turn around and tell Luke, “hey, the gods are trying their best, okay?” Percy standing up to the gods had a lot more weight in the book, because he made his anger with the way they treated their kids clear to them, whereas in the show he did stand up to Zeus but then actively defends the gods’ actions in his subsequent confrontation with Luke.
2.) Perhaps my biggest issue in the show: Gabe Ugliano. When Percy entered his apartment, and Eddie said “I’m going out, you’re coming in. I should be apologizing to you,” I was fully bracing myself for a scene depicting how abusive Gabe could get. Instead, we got a Gabe Ugliano who is moderately annoying at worst. He’s an asshole to his wife and stepson, but SEVERELY toned down from the book. He’s mostly just kind of a jerk, who Percy and Sally have no trouble standing up to as he doesn’t really do anything but get annoyed when Percy stands up to him and quickly backs down when Sally stands up to him. They even removed the bit towards the end where it is revealed that he had been physically abusive towards Sally, leaving just about everything that makes the character so hate-able out of the show. He’s just… dislikable. That’s it. I couldn’t really bring myself to hate him because he’s just a dumbass. Now, from what I understand, the reason he was toned down was because Rick Riordan himself said that when they first tried to adapt the scene (in a more faithful way) it was uncomfortable to watch, which is fair: I don’t really like watching depictions of abuse (I had to walk out of Love Lies Bleeding, it’s a great movie but it was a bit too much) especially against children. Plus, I understand that this was meant to be a more kid-friendly show. But removing Gabe’s abuse means removing Sally coming into her own by killing him. Instead, Gabe’s death doesn’t feel as deserved, and it happens accidentally. Plus, even though they established that bad smells can mask a demigod’s scent from monsters, they didn’t include the reveal that Sally stayed with Gabe because his scent hid Percy. Again, I understand why they may not have wanted to keep the “woman sticks with her abuser” narrative for a kid-friendly show. But at that point, why even have him in the show? All of his narrative significance has been stripped away, leaving us with a character who adds nothing to the story. He’s just kinda there. They even made him unemployed, meaning the bit where Percy says on live TV that Gabe is giving away free appliances is gone too. TLDR: he isn’t as evil, so it doesn’t really feel like he gets deserved comeuppance when he dies at the end, and on top of that his plot significance is removed, leaving him as sort of a vestigial tail of a character that no longer has any purpose in the story but is still visibly there taking up screen time.
Idk, I liked a lot about the show, but a lot of aspects felt rushed. I wouldn’t mind waiting longer for season 2 if it meant it would be a more complete adaptation of the book it’s based on.

Chess Allusions: Pawn Parallels
Rogers: “So you can use [her info] as leverage against [Belfrey]?”
Weaver: “Well that’s how this game works, Detective.”
Talking in the park, Weaver and Rogers both want the information that Tilly knows, the kind that causes Victoria to feel threatened, enough to blackmail Weaver with Tilly’s imprisonment and some CCTV footage of his misdeeds. Although both detectives covet finding and questioning Tilly for what she knows, their motives differ.
Weaver has a “means to an end” approach, valuing Tilly only when she can be useful in his schemes. His selfish nature sides with his freedom and power over her wellbeing, and he’s okay with that. Tilly might be his informant with the ‘best eyes and ears in Hyperion Heights’, but at the end of the day, she’s replaceable, someone worth losing if it means he gains a stepping stone in the long game against taking down Victoria Belfrey.
Rogers: “Is that all this girl is to you and Belfrey? A pawn? Then why don’t we split up, since one of us actually wants to help her?”
But to Rogers, who doesn’t even know Tilly at this point, he sees Victoria and Weaver’s game as something where people win at the expense of somebody else and goes into full papa bear mode. Rogers wants to help Weaver as a partner and wage justice against Victoria, but not at the cost of using Tilly. He sees Tilly as a vulnerable person caught in the crossfire of a game they didn’t even know they were playing, rather than a soldier in a chess match, and wants to talk to her on equal terms.
His opinion of Tilly being a bit off kilter but innocent at heart only strengthens when Weaver, in the hospital, unexpectedly pardons her of assumed criminal charges, telling Rogers an obvious lie about a masked robber being the one who shot the gun. Upon meeting Tilly outside of the hospital room, Rogers sees a confused, distraught, and guilt ridden young woman playing a game of chess alone. He tells her the facts with a kind opinion, “Look, you weren’t in your right frame of mind. He doesn’t blame you.” They build up an acquaintance and the budding start of a camaraderie over chess.
However, this all changes when the monster that is Gothel/the fire nation arrives Eloise Gardener gets into the playing field. Victoria and Drizella play cat and mouse, Weaver uses Tilly in a game of lies, and Rogers tries to make sense of things, inadvertently rescuing Gothel, the big bad spider.
Rogers to Weaver: You lied! And you made Tilly lie. Why did you do that?!
Weaver: Because you don't know what's going on around here... But I did it for one reason: to protect you from your bloody self.
(gratuitous physical violence scene bc I love the dynamic)
What Rumple could mean by ‘bloody self’ could be that Rogers lets his temper cloud his judgment first before he goes seeking revenge on/fighting for justice for those who deserve it most. I think that's where Rumple sees the most Killian come out from the supposed "Eagle Scout" detective, stubborn and determined to stick to his guns until he gets to his desired conclusion, which in this case is finding Eloise Gardener (Gothel).
Rogers defends Tilly, despite only meeting her a few times, going so far as to bodyslam Weaver as he confronts him. However, he loses his respect for her after finding Eloise, where no explanation could outweigh the cost.
Rogers: What do you want?
Tilly: To say I’m sorry about the page. Weaver said it was for the best and I can’t always figure that out for myself.
Rogers: Take a look at what he was covering up. Now tell me, was that for the best? You know what? I understand. I’m just disappointed. You weren’t the person I thought you were.
Rogers is a man of many things, holding grudges being one of them and being rational in the other. The blonde informant had gone so far as to even lie to him about Eloise, dead of all things. As much as he wanted to forgive Tilly, he didn’t know if he could.
At the end of the day, in Rogers’s mind, Eloise needed help, rescue, and emergency aid, something that only happened because of his deep obsession with finding a missing girl from a cold case. And Tilly deterred him from saving a life, unintentional or not.
Roni: “Henry told me about how Weaver used that girl, Tilly.”
Rogers: “Well, it seems to me like she wanted to be a pawn.”
Rogers feels his trust was betrayed and remains disappointed in Tilly. He saw Weaver being a shady bastard from a mile away, but he didn’t expect her to be complicit in Weaver’s dirty schemes. He wanted to believe Tilly was the kind of person who questioned whatever she was told and made her own path on decisions like he did, not so easily roped into following plans, especially ones of slimy bastards like Weaver. If Rogers saw Tilly as an innocent victim of society before, moved around like a pawn, he feels wronged in his judgment and probably thinks she was content to be a sheep to Weaver’s mysterious whims.
Who was he to believe she could be more than a pawn when she chose to be one?
Luckily, Roni was there to whack the obviously menacing poisoned cake from his hands and knock some sense into him.
Regina as Roni: “You know, people only let themselves be used when they don’t have any other option. How about you give her one?”
Tilly, even if a marmalade sandwich was needed as incentive, had been willingly helpful to his case. The only moment she hadn’t been was when she was under Weaver’s thumb, someone she had known and trusted like a father figure, unlike him who was a stranger in her eyes. People came and went from the older detective’s team, knowledge of informants and detective partners leaving frequently unless they had a special skill set or blackmail hanging over them. If anything, she wasn’t fully to blame.
What Tilly and Rogers can't see until it's too late, being cursed and all, is that they are good natured people afraid of getting hurt, wanting to help others, but unfortunately victims of manipulation, of those with ulterior agendas that use them as playing pieces, making them no better than pawns.
Roni was right. People like Tilly wouldn’t let themselves be used like pawns if they didn’t have any other option. She had been brave enough to show up to the crime scene to apologize to him in person after what she did, not caring about being forgiven, and he hadn’t even given what she had said a second thought. Knowing Weaver, Rogers would have concluded that the old bastard probably didn’t even give her the entire picture and used her good intentions in an ill manner befitting the man’s deceitful ways, leading her to think it was for the best.
This leads to Rogers making a step in the right direction. It doesn’t take more than Roni’s small nudge of advice to get him to internally forgive Tilly and go in search of her, eventually offering a chess set to help pass the time with a weekly game and a friend who’d listen if she’d accept. From then on, Rogers and Tilly both grow and begin to trust again, trying to protect the other from getting harmed as the consequence of another’s scheme.

greetings Miss Bun,
one of my best friends rts your account on twitter often and from what i have seen i have come to the conclusion Bun is somewhat of a Tartaglia analysis expert.
therefore i was wondering if you knew or had a guess about Tartaglia's loyalty to The Tsaritsa.
Do you think part of the reason Tartaglia is so loyal is because he believes it's what's best for his family, that the Tsarista does know best? or does he love the Tsaritsa & is loyal for a separate reason regardless of family? If Tartaglia had to make a choice to stay loyal to the Tsarista at the cost of his family getting hurt, do you think Tartaglia would make that choice? Is Tartaglia's family getting hurt worth making the Tsaritsa's vision come to fruition?
i understand if this is too heavy a question or if there simply not enough information to make a guess, just curious as to what Bun thinks as a fellow lover of Childe.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, hope you have a wonderful day
(^-^)
Thank you for asking! It's true that we don't have much solid information on this, but I'll do my best to answer your question based on the current info and my own personal interpretation.
Judging by what we've learned thus far, Childe's loyalty to the Tsaritsa is partially due to being granted a purpose.
There are three separate instances in which purpose/motivation is mentioned in regard to or by Childe, making it a recurring and significant theme for his character.
Childe's Collected Miscellany. In this video, Dainsleif says, "Since becoming a Fatui Harbinger, fighting for the Tsaritsa is his new motivation as a warrior." This statement raises the question of what his motivation had been prior to the Tsaritsa, or whether he even had a motivation at all. My personal theory is that he did not have one.
Labyrinth Warriors (Limited Event). "All those who stalk the battlefield yearn for meaning and value." This quote comes from Childe himself.
Childe's Act I Story Quest. The quote from this requires the full context, so I'll expand on this below.
In Childe's story quest, Teucer gets the opportunity to see Childe fight for the first time. After the fight, he says to Childe, "I wanna learn to fight too. I wanna be cool like you!" to which Childe responds, "...Fighting isn't about looking cool. You can only continue to get stronger if you know the reason why you're fighting. I can teach you. But think carefully, first. Why do you want to fight?"
Teucer briefly ponders Childe question. Soon, he replies, "I want to protect sister Tonia."
This dialogue between the two of them is crucial in understanding Childe's own individual purpose for fighting. Later in the quest, outside of the abandoned ruin guard factory, Childe references Teucer's response when speaking to Paimon, after she asks if he is concerned for his little brother's safety. His words are as follows:
"Of course I am...but no matter what the danger is, I will parry it. Isn't that what any older brother would do?" followed by, "Even Teucer understands that, now that he knows what he's fighting for...It's the very same reason that's been nestled in my own heart for so many years."
This means that, much like how Teucer concluded that he wished to protect Tonia, Childe wishes to protect their entire family.
According to the description of the Funerary Mask obtained from Signora, the Fatui's primary goal is to go against the Heavenly Principles, against Celestia. It reads, "...Only those who possess an obsession close to or exceeding the level of delusion might be willing to join this group that so rebels against the Heavenly Principles..."
This is to say that the Fatui possess a wealth of information and knowledge beyond the average citizen in Teyvat. They have knowledge about Khaenri'ah and Khaenri'ahn technology, the Abyss, Irminsul, the truth of the world—and Childe, a Fatui Harbinger with firsthand knowledge of the Abyss, who traveled deeper than any other living human being, is not exempt from this. He is aware of the stakes, and of the war they'll have to wage to defeat the Heavenly Principles. He knows what will happen if they lose.
With that being said, to sum it up, we can assume that his loyalty is in part due to 1) gratitude for being given a purpose and 2) to ensure a safer world and future for his younger siblings and the rest of his family.
As for whether Childe loves the Tsaritsa or not, that remains to be seen. Since the Tsaritsa is implied to be the god of love, this could serve as one of the numerous plot points for the future main archon quest of Snezhnaya in 2025. What does true love mean to a god, especially to the god of love herself?
The question also reminds me of a past discussion between myself and a good friend of mine, as to whether worship and love can be equated. Is love a result of worship, or vice versa? Is it possible to worship without love? Can it even be deemed worship without it? And how would these complexities influence Childe's path? How would this internal dilemma affect his relationship with his family? Who would he choose if it came down to that?
Personally I believe that, because Childe's devotion to his family is such an integral part of his character, it is unlikely for his loyalty to his god to surpass that, in the event that his family would come to harm. In fact, it is my personal belief that this is the one line that can never be crossed. It would be his tipping point. Not only are they an inextricable part of his life, but I have reason to suspect that their role goes even farther beyond what we've been shown or told. I believe that his responsibility to his family, as well as the love of his younger siblings, is the very thing that has allowed him to maintain his humanity.
(But this is already way too long. I cannot get into that. Lmao)
In Labyrinth Warriors, ran in version 2.2, we learn about Childe's sense of dehumanization—self-dehumanization, as it is self-imposed and reinforced by himself (though it was undoubtedly cultivated by the Fatui). The event's story contained strong parallels between Shiki Taishou—a shikigami in search of his master—and Childe. Both perceived themselves as weapons, and Shiki Taishou says an interesting line: "If I am able, I wish to retain the kindness in my heart until the very end. But a weapon cannot betray its master's will. If he was able to create me, then he is able to control me."
This evolves into a harrowing conflict when applied to the context of Childe's own individual story, especially with the addition of Xinyan's perspective on Shiki Taishou's dilemma.
"All you gotta do is find the thing that was most important and righteous to you."
In other words, my personal prediction for the course of Childe's journey as a character is this: Caught between multiple worlds, there will come a time when Childe is forced to make his own decision. Will he carry out the Tsaritsa's orders, or will he save his family from harm? Should a situation arise in which his family is in danger, I believe he will ultimately choose to protect them, even if it means going against the deity he loyally serves.
In a nation ruled by a god of love, a character choosing love above all else would be extremely impactful, a perfect fit for the narrative and a profound moment for Childe's own story and development. After all, I think that is the entire point of his character—someone who, against all odds, retains his kindness, even if he himself is not entirely aware of it.
I hope I was able to answer all of your questions! I apologize for how lengthy this response is, but I'm just always very excited to discuss him. If you ever have more questions, you're always welcome to ask! I promise not ALL of my responses will be this long lol

Hi! Saw your reblog and thought I’d send in a prompt :) there’s a lot of good ones on the list but I picked ‘putting their hand on the other's neck’
Thank you so much! You know, the original post was supposed to be about sweet things, yet my brain fed me nothing but angst (': so here we are. I hope you still enjoy it!
"I don't understand," says the newly re-made Corinthian, staring at his creator already as starstruck as he was the first time he made him, the distant memories of unease and reproach of his predecessor more of an afterthought in his mind.
"I need you to find a certain child," his master repeats, as if the Corinthian was an infant himself who required patience and instruction.
"I did understand that. What I don't understand is why you want me to leave the Dreaming when something terrible is coming after you."
Dream looks back at him, his tense shoulders dropping as if he had just let out an inaudible sigh, and if the Corinthian didn't have memories from his past life, he could've sworn Morpheus was trying to appear more relaxed in a vain attempt to placate him.
"I assure you I can protect myself. Besides, I won't be alone."
The simulated calm makes anger curl in the Corinthian's gut, and he takes a frustrated step towards his King. "That's not the point. I'm your best warrior; you've said as much in the past. I should be here to face the Fates with you."
Dream meets the Corinthian's step with one of his own. "I have indeed said that, and I stand by it. As such, your particular set of skills is the precise reason why I must entrust this mission to you and no-one else," he says, and perhaps sensing the Corinthian is about to protest, he closes the distance between them with another resolute step, before placing a hand on the back of the Corinthian's neck and pulling the nightmare's forehead against his, closing his eyes.
The Corinthian freezes. He can feel the short hairs at the back of his neck standing, the touch on his skin soothing the shivers that are assaulting him so unexpectedly.
"This is no ordinary child, my nightmare. In him lies the possibility of my continuance and that of the Dreaming. It is of cosmic importance that you find him," Dream speaks with a low, soft voice, still intent on calming.
The Corinthian's brow furrows. "Wait, what do you mean by continuance? What's gonna happen with you?" Dream's eyes are still closed, but the Corinthian can see the moment in which the mask of serenity slips, a shadow darkening his creator's features, and for a moment, he looks as old as he ought to be. The change lasts an instant, yet it manages to chill the Corinthian to his core, panic rising in his chest like a cold, inescapable grip. "You're-- you're going to be fine, right?"
Dream's demeanour is once again peaceful, and when he opens his eyes, there's tenderness there, as much as there is in the fingers caressing the Corinthian's neck in long, slow strokes. Dream looks at him as if he was the only remaining being of Creation.
"I will, if you find Daniel."
Swallowing hard, the Corinthian nods, and he almost regrets doing it when the hand on his neck drops slowly from it. The Corinthian wants nothing but to chase that hand; to pull on it and place it back on his nape, on his face, on his heart, never to let go, but time ticks mercilessly and he accepts his fate with a sigh. However, he needs to make sure of one thing.
"Will I find you here? When I come back, I mean."
A conspiratorial smile spreads over Dream's lips. "Of course, my nightmare. You will always find me here."

You know what really grinds my gears.
That the whole season NOBODY has referred Aemond as what he is, A KINSLAYER!!!
He literally spilled blood first, but no one has called him a Kinslayer, but to Rhaenyra they call her “The Cruel” after B&C, and also they kinda referred Daemon as a Kinslayer, who he technically didn’t personally killed Jaeherys but the point is. THEY NEVER CALLED AEMOND A KINSLAYER!!
And Alicent being in delulu world, justifying it to Rhaenyra “You know what he is” like yes bitch say it, your hatred for Rhaenyra and her sons, you created Aemond on how he is.
Alicent raised her boys to hate Rhaenyra and her sons, then acts like “I dont know what went wrong with my boys while Heleana and Daeron are kind”
Girl literally Gwayne told you in the nicest way possible, it was you!!!!
YES!!! This so much!!
I have no idea why they didn't use this! Like he killed Luke, his nephew, and started this whole war! Him being the first kinslayer and therefore the worst--because B&C was a response to Luke and that is more forgivable. I really don't understand why they didn't make a bigger point out of this and the Black's using it as PR. Also, it would make sense then to see Aemond put on this facade and go 'everyone already condemn me for being a kinslayer, there's nothing I can do to change that so I might as well not try' and lean into being the monster everyone perceives him as BUT we can still see the fractures of that mask--we can see that it gnaws at him that he's being called a kinslayer, and then we could see that need for comfort grow because he's not getting it at home and that is why he goes to the brothel!
They really use the term kinslayer only in relation to Rhaenyra/Daemon which is insane because we never really get the specifics of what makes a kinslayer; is it by killing your kin with your own hand as Aemond did, or are you a kinslayer when you set it up so that other's do the deed for you? Where's the line?
They could have played with that, but the didn't.
Alicent being delulu really annoyed me this season. Especially when she's so willing to blame EVERYONE else for the situation around her, despite being an integral part of being the cause of this situation--you undermined Rhaenyra for years and plotted against her to steal her throne; you crowned your son, you protected your son for his own misdeeds (his rape of the servants) and you nurtured this hatred they have for their sister AND nurtured this fear in them that Rhaenyra would kill them all, even though YOUR SIDE has been seeking the very same with against TB. She started this, and somehow she's shocked that it would cause a war? Alicent created the whole situation and she nurtured Aemond and Aegon into being who they are, but she's so quick to blame all of her own failings on them too. And she is suddenly shocked and aghast by everything that's happening.
I will retain some of the things we've seen from Alicent this season, but there's a good amount of things I will be changing. She might be digging her heels in and trying to minimize and limit the war and push for peace, but she'll never abandon her family--and she will never just... give up as we kind of saw in last episode (e7). If she's a depressed bitch, she will be a depressed bitch clinging to her belief that she's doing the right thing, she is a bitch that clings to wanting her sacrifices to mean something.

This is a bit out of my format, but I noticed it relatively recently and didn't see anyone talking about it. In general, I will talk about a small detail in the design of the harbingers, namely crystals (they are very noticeable in the pictures with Arlecchino and Tartaglia, so take a look at them first to better understand what I'm talking about). And I very much doubt that their color doesn't mean anything, especially considering that mostly their white coats are no different.
So we have:
Pierro (leader)- blue
Capitano(1)-black
Dottore(2)-blue
Columbina (3)-blue
Arlecchino (4)-red and black
Pulcinella(5)-purple
Sandrone(7)-orange
Pantalone(9)-purple
Tartaglia(11)-red
It is worth noting that the shades of crystals are also different. For example, the crystals of Pulcinella and Pantalone, the ninth harbinger has a darker shade.
Now let's look at the harbingers with blue crystals, there are most of them and the first thing they have in common is a mask. Columbina, Dottore and Pierro are all masked characters. Columbina has a mask that shows her face the most, behind the mask we are still able to see her eyes and her crystal is the lightest of all, it is almost white. Piero's mask covers only one part of his face and his crystal is slightly bluer than Columbina's. And Dottore, his crystal is the darkest among the three of them, and the mask hides his entire face. I can also draw a parallel in the possible immortality of Dottore and Pierro and maybe Columbina.
Purple crystals. Pulcinella and Pantalone. The first thing I thought about, and what I assumed was that Pantalone and Pulcinella can share the same color, due to the fact that they are both not a combat unit, not physically, for sure, and they are mostly attached to the Snezhnaya, since Pantalone is engaged in economics, and Pulcinella is the mayor.
Red and black. Arlecchino, Capitano and Tartaglia. They, it seems to me, are the main fighting power of the Snezhnaya. Now, I will add to my arguments another theory that I have heard, it is connected with Capitano. In short, Capitano's background is listed in the Blood Knight artifact set. And it tells about a brave paladin who was eventually cursed and raised his sword against those he wanted to protect, after seeing what a monster he had become, he wanted to die in the abyss. However, there he again swears allegiance. In general, if you believe this theory, then the Capitano can be said to be cursed and from this his crystal is black. In Arlecchino, you can notice the crystal as a whole is red, BUT the edges are already black. I'm not trying to say she's cursed, but maybe her mind is a little clouded or she's losing faith in something. Tartaglia's crystal is simply red, which suggests to me that he has not yet been disappointed in his ideals and has not suffered from his own weapons.
I can't say anything about Sandrone, her color stands out the most and there is no one to compare her with.
P.s. pls don't take this too seriously, after all, I'm not good at theories👉👈
