Kung Fu Panda 4-All the budget went to the animation (spoilers)
Hey all, its me, the guy who everyday make a tour around this site but almost never talk. How are ya?
Two days ago something arrived to the cinema's screens, something that me and everyone were waiting for since 2018, the fourth film and the begginig of the new kung fu panda triology.
You know? When I sat on that theather seat with my friends to see what Dreamworks had prepared for us, I told myself; "Maybe that post I made a while ago throwing shit at what seemed like Kfp 4 was going to be was a bit hard, I hope I can come out regretting what I said that time"
And as soon as the credits ended, it was clear to me, I dont regret a shit. Maybe it was a little exaggerated, compared to what a megamind fan would think about the terrible sequel they made, but still: the film is crappy and boring most of the time. But why?
I'm going to explain some points.
1- Po? Is that you?
I don't know you guys, but i don't think the panda we knew in the end of the third film is the same as this one. Seriously, he share more comparisons with the Po from the legend of awessonless than the one from the films, maybe its a personal thing but it feels that way. At least in the beggining of the film feel like that.
And I don't know what he was thinking about when he decided to follow a thief he doesn't know at all and who tried to steal in his own palace, and that suspiciously know who is the chameleon, whose were her plans, her past, where she lived, where exacly they had to pass through avoiding all the guard inside her home, why the others thiefs of the city hate her so much... With Po's experience with criminals this is like a chef throwing water on a pan with boiling oil, it's obvious what is going to happen.
2- Zheng- Female Nick Wilde but without charisma or half of his intelligence.
I knew it from the first moment I saw Zheng's desing, the people who know me can corroborate that; her facial expressions, her tone while she talk, her animal race, her position as thief, her final when she is part of the justice same as the protagonist... it's clearer than water I think.
Everyone could say this is forgivable if she's smart, but surprise, she's not. This character is just an absurd try of this company for """"conect with infant audience""""(I don't know in what sense, I supose for the cute design, idk). But the point is, the supposed objective of the hollywood companies is give the new generetions better things than we got at their age, but what I see is laziness for write a decent scrip only for take an advantage of a known IP and make easy money. Even the children have quality standars, this is not the dragon warrior and of course this is not kung fu panda.
And talking about the dragon warrior, having our deep and lovely Tigress with her magnific development or Tai Lung back from the spirit realm... why in the hell this character exists?! Oh yeah, for being trending topic in twitter for three days. Yay...
3- The furious five and Shifu, for us : our pretty boys, and for Dreamworks: living jokes.
What made Kung Fu Panda what it is, is not the fucking panda, it's them. They're the inspiration for Po, their allies, the royale representation of kung fu and the ones which everything started with.
Po's a comic relief, and his mission is show his development in part using his humor, but the humor in this film barely works because of the lazy script. Something that even the talented Jack Black himself can't fix, beacuse his only role there is dublin his character, unlike the rest of the residents of the Jade Palace except Dustin Hoffman.
Seth Rogen (Mantis) himself even said that he wasn't even contact by Dreamworks in the first place, only for make a scream in the credits, that's sad beacause he really wanted to see Mantis on the screen. And I know and I understand that the five are expensive, but cmon, they could just simply change the voice actors and offset it with a good script but that's not the case of course. Their role in the film is being a counter for Po's constant jokes, for not to saturate the spectator with jokes, now that's not in there anymore, thank you Dreamworks.
4-The chameleoooohhn and her "motivation".
I can't say much, basically because out of her design she's nonsense. She says that because of her size, she was reyected for being a kung fu warrior.
Yeah of course but only one little thing, what about Shifu? Viper, a warrior without tips? Mantis, literally a dawn insect? Master Oogway, a TURTLE? The masters goose? C'mon even there's a fucking master chicken! Don't talk shit chameleon!
Her importance for the plot? Its almost a lie, the others villains had links to important characters; Tai Lung (with his link to Shifu's past), Shen (with his link to Po's past) or Kai (with his link to Oogway's past), all of them related to important characters. And her? To zheng's past and present I guess? But again, anyone know this character. She's like a villain from a Disney show, you know the type of villain who say a lot of things but at the end, she don't support nothing to the lore.
And her personality is like a mix of all the previous villains, and this sounds good right? HAHAH nope. Do you remember when as a child you mixed all the plasticines of all the colors to create the final color and you ended up with a color similar to poop? well that's exacly how her personality feels like.
5- Po's dads; the only reason they're there is because they ran out of characters to make the film.
The tittle itself tell everything, they don't do anything for the script in all the film, and their objective could be done since the start.
The script of the film except for the final looks like a draft which they didn't know how to complete, everyone who watch it can see it perfecly. The animation, the music and the backgrounds are the only things notable here.
6- Tai Lung and the cheapness nostalgia.
Fan service is not necesarry bad, above all if is used in a good way, they sold us Tai Lung as a miracle but his importance for the plot feels just like a Stan Lee cameo, I like Tai Lung I can say that. But this is too weak, Shen and Kai are only characters in the background who don't do nothing except being defeated or make facial expressions (I don't even joke that Shen would show respect to Po considering what we saw in the second movie, and Kai wasn't supposed to be destroyed as a spirit, what the hell is he doing here again? *sign* I'll to stop trying to make sense of this).
By the way, anyone else think that the dragon warrior role is understimated? I mean Shifu obligated Po to transfers the role to another one just because yes, i mean he only has been the dragon warrior for less than 5 years and now they want to replace him with a random. Everything just for at the end, he choosed a thief with at least 30 crimes registred and who was a traitor during the 75% of the movie.
7- The """""""""humor"""""""", except they forgot the parts where I must to laugh.
Seeing nonsense hits only beacuse yes stopped of being funny a long time ago, and no, I don't want to talk about the bunnies of the portrait because I would get sick. I had to go to the cinema drunk to endure the filler that the movie had, no joke, it was the only way to laugh at those jokes.
So I think about applying the same method as in any movie with bad jokes, ignoring the jokes. I tried to do the same thing but with the pace that the film managed, such a thing was impossible, the pace of the movie seems to be made for Tiktoker children with attention deficit. From the chaos in the quarry until Po takes the bitc... uhg fox out of prison, only 10 fucking minutes pass, all of that for what? So that you feel like the baseless information and the nonsensical plot that they tell us is of any use? they could simply make a non-canonical short and that's it, but no, yes or they were going to tell us a story written by rotten old men who spend the entire day watching Tik Tok. It's not going to be that the child who sees this doesn't get bored, we know that much today's children don't have many neurons as they say, but even to make movies for them you have to have a certain talent.
In some point at the beguining Po make a joke about the ausence of the furious five saying that at least he had them in cardboard posters, and this would be a good joke. Only if the stupid film could be prove that the franquise can do something memorable without the furious five, but again, that's not the case.
Don't have any respect for this movie, look what it had with you. I understand that it is enjoyable because of the animation but it does not go beyond that line, it destroys important things about the canon and spoils its teaching about the need for change by treating it in a terrible way.
Coclusion: KFP 4 is just another Po's adventure as Shifu says, it won't tell nothing to you or make you feel different, it's a shame but after Megamind 2 I imagined something like this. It's a dark era for film, expecially the animated one so like Scar said; Be prepare, there're worse things waiting for us.
Do you want something with real quality? You don't even need kung fu panda 1,2 or 3, for make it easy to this film let's take this marvelous example; kung fu panda: secrets of the scroll (2016). You'll say; "An animated short, this is not like-" Shhh Just watch it, you won't regret it.
If you think I'm wrong in something, just rewatch the film. And if still you aren't agreed with me, well, I respect you and I'm happy you like it. I wish I could love it as you do, but that doesn't mean that the movie isn't bad, because if you watch it with your brain on or remembering the previous movies it's terrible.
. Me? I've to write a story, I love you all. Except you, Dreamworks, I'm mad with you, expecially when you do this at the same day as Akira Toriyama's death :(

«Nightmare»
Well, I begin my aria as a fan of Goultard. I believe that this man is worthy of much more love, for he is the wonderful god of the Iops. And yes, there will be an OC Wakfu (maybe I’ll draw it and talk about it). Happy reading!💕
Tw:the death of the main character, blood, post-traumatic syndrome, unhealed injuries, love for the dead.
Tumblr media
Goultard lay behind his bed and snored loudly, after another adventure he was very tired and was now in his bed, enjoying the warm and soft sheets. Iop enjoyed this, because he was lying in bed with his beloved girl. He pressed his cheek to her small but very soft breast. With one hand, Goultard gently squeezed her right breast, and with the other he pulled her towards him and gently squeezed her ass. God of the Iops felt the gentle and soft hands of his lady love, caressing his long and soft hair, massaging his scalp.
«Goultard...» said Ranet, giggling, feeling how her god of the Iops was pressing against her. Her brown eyes looked at Goultard with love and tenderness, and her heart couldn’t help but pound with excitement. Enutrof felt like a pillow in the arms of an iop.
"Mmm... What is it, my love?" - asked the god of the Iops in a gentle and hoarse voice, raising his head. His light brown hair looked at Ranet with kindness and sincere love, and his body pressed against the girl’s body. Goultard lived for many years, but he had not felt such strong love as now for a long time. As if Iop’s entire existence, all his love, lived and will live only for her sake. His favorite enutrof.
"Goulti... You need to wake up." - Ranet said in a soft and gentle voice, lifting the iopa from herself. She pulled away from him slightly and stroked his cheek, gently scratching his beard. Her brown eyes looked with sincere love and kindness, but something was wrong about it all. The touches were no longer so soft and warm, and a chill ran through his entire body. Iop's eyes looked at the enutrof with panic and fear, and his heart beat even stronger with excitement.
"Wake up? But... But I'm not sleeping! You and I are in bed and you are with me—” the red-haired man began to speak in a hurry, actively gesticulating and looking at his beloved. But Goultard did not have time to finish, as Ranet pressed her finger to his lips. The expression on her face did not change for a second, but her eyes remained the same.
“Oh, Goulti... Apparently you didn’t understand something!” - said the giggling brown-haired girl, after which she leaned towards the god of Iops and pressed her forehead to his forehead. Brown eyes Ranet's continued to gaze lovingly into Goultard's light brown eyes. “I died, Goulti. A long time ago." - Ranet said in the same sweet and melodious voice, stroking down.
Her words sent a chill and fear down the back of the God of the Iops. He followed her and looked down. Having done this, Goultard let out a frightened cry, full of pain and horror: he saw how in the stomach of his beloved enutrof there was a huge hole that was bleeding. It was a terrible sight and the redhead began to panic.
"No! No! No! This is not there! This is not there!" the Iop shouted, trying to close the hole in her stomach with his hands. Tears began to flow feverishly from Goultard's eyes, and quiet sighs of sadness and panic escaped from his chest. Ranet, on the contrary, sat absolutely calmly and giggled, looking at how her beloved tried to save her.
“But we both know that it’s useless. Dark Vlad." - His lover said in a cold voice and giggled at the end. This name again sent a current of fear through his body. He raised his eyes to Ranet, wanting to understand what was happening. But, instead of her sweet face, he saw his second personality. Dark Vlad. A skeleton whose head was burning with bright fire, and his hands were smeared with blood.
"Remember me, Goultard?" - asked the skeleton in his terrible and at the same time cheerful voice, starting to laugh hysterically. Their entire nice room began to turn into a desert filled with ruins and skeletons. All of this caused Goultard to scream in horror and fall to his knees as his dark self continued to laugh.A couple of moments later, Goultard woke up. He saw that he was in his bed in the house of Eva and Tristepin. There was no desert, there were no skeletons, there was no Dark Vlad, there was no her.

Note: Thank you so much to everyone who showed so much support for the other two parts!! You all mean the world to me!
Spencer sat on the subway alone that night, his mind swarming with thoughts of you. When he saw you smiling earlier today, he knew he never wanted to see it fade, and that he would do whatever he could to make sure it stayed like that.
He loved you. There was no denying that. He felt horrible that you thought he didn’t love you because that was the farthest from the truth. He needed to tell you how he really felt. He couldn’t live with himself otherwise, knowing that you thought he really meant it when he said it was just sex. It was never just sex, at least not to him. It was never just anything when it came to you.
That night, he decided to write you a letter explaining everything. He came to the conclusion that it was the safest option, and if things went in an unfavorable manner, it was the easiest medium to recover from and pretend nothing happened.
So, that’s how Spencer found himself sat up at his desk all night, crumped paper littering his floor, as he tried to pour all his feelings for you onto a piece of paper. Needless to say, he didn’t get much sleep that night.
The next morning, Spencer gently placed the cream envelope on your desk, fiddling with the corners to make sure it was noticeable. He looked around the room, feeling his heart rate increase. How would you react? Would you throw it away and never talk to him again or would you realize that you love him too? Spencer told himself he would be okay either way, so long as you knew how he felt. He didn’t want to hide his feelings from you. He knew you were it for him, and he would love you for the rest of his life. And if he would have to hold his unrequited love for you for the rest of eternity, he would do so happily, knowing that he was honest with you and gave it his all. He couldn’t live with himself, thinking you didn’t know the extent of his feelings for you. Trying to calm his nerves, he ran his thumb along the pads of his fingers. Not wanting to be here when you read the letter, he heads to the bathroom when he hears the ding of the elevator.
Taking a deep breath, you walked into the bullpen. You had already survived one day of heartache, what’s one more? Sure, with every breath you took, you could still hear Spencer’s last words to you piercing your lungs: “I didn’t mean it. It’s just sex.”  And every time you closed your eyes, you were met with his cold, rigid frame walking away from you, as if you meant nothing to him. Which apparently was the case. How could you be so stupid and think he actually meant it. But, it doesn’t even matter now, because no matter how much you want to blame this on Spencer, you can’t. Yes, he broke the rules, but you were the one who left. You were the one who took a heat of the moment slip up and blew it out of proportion and pushed away the one good thing in your life.
When you got to your desk, you threw down your bag, grateful that Spencer was nowhere to be seen. Although, you would lie if you said you weren’t a bit disappointed. As you took out some paperwork from your bag, you noticed an envelope sitting on your desk next to a stack of papers. You felt your heart clench, instantly recognizing the handwriting your name was written in on the back of it. Slowly, you wedged your finger under the flap, breaking the seal. You pulled out the slightly crumpled lined paper that looked as if it had been read through a hundred times already. Letting out a small gasp, you fell into your seat, scanning the room for Spencer. Not seeing him anywhere, you held up the letter with shaky hands, your watery eyes pouring over every word.
(Y/n),
Throughout every book I have read and paper I have written, words never seem to fail me, that is until it comes to you. No matter how many times I try to write this, it still doesn’t feel good enough. I have read countless stories about the triumphs and tribulations of love. I have tried finding a single one that could capture even an ounce of the love I hold for you, but they all fall short.
I think that’s because, when I read the words that surround me on these dusty shelves, I am reminded of all the things I love about you. Ask me to find a poem about your beauty and I can do that with no problem. Ask me to find a book about how it feels to kiss you and make love to you, and I can reach for one without leaving this chair. But, ask me to find one that perfectly explains why I love you, and I would not be able to.
Yes, I love your beautiful smile and sparkling eyes. I love how it feels to hold you in my arms and press my lips all over your captivating body. I love everything about you, even the parts that you deem unworthy, but that is not why I love you.
I love you because, in a group of people, you are the only one I care that is laughing at my stupid jokes. I love you because when I am having a terrible day, you are the person I want to sit with me and just breathe. You are the person I trust with all my secrets, and the one person I want to share all my accomplishments with. I love you because you are the person I want to bicker with over stupid, petty things. You are the person I want to set off the fire alarm with while attempting to cook dinner and the person I want to yell at me for getting the wrong kind of milk at the grocery store. You are the person I want to wake up next to every morning, sipping our coffees in a calming silence before we head into work.
We see the darkest parts of humanity through our job. Yet, every time I look at you, I am reminded of how beautifully wonderful life can be. You make my life beautiful. And because of that, I love you.
I lied. That night, when I said that I didn’t mean it, I lied. I meant it, and I mean every word that I just wrote. (Y/n) (Y/l/n), I love you. I love you so much that it consumes every part of me. I’m sorry that I ever made you doubt my feelings for you. I will never do that again. I love you.
I know you said not to get feelings involved, but I have loved you from the first day I met you.
I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I lied. I’m sorry I hurt you. I’m sorry that I broke our rule and that you left. But, I’m not sorry for saying it. I will never be sorry for telling you how I feel. Because I love you. I just hope that you love me too.
All my love,
Spencer Reid
Tears now covered the paper in your hands, and you threw it onto the desk, not wanting anyone to see you like this. You cupped your hand over your mouth, trying to hold back your sobs until you made it to the file room. Once inside, you collapsed onto the floor, slamming the door shut behind you. You don’t know what to feel. You are so overwhelmed and your heart is beating too fast and Spencer’s words that are replaying in your head are too loud. You don’t know what to do, so you do all you can do, and just sit there.
Spencer convinces himself that he has given you sufficient time to read the letter and that he should probably make an appearance. If not for you, then at least to actually do some work. What’s the worst that could happen? You ignore each other again? He could handle that, or so he tells himself. He just has to walk out there and sit down at his desk. He can do that.
Exiting the bathroom, his steps falter as he notices you aren’t at your desk. He walks over, noticing that the envelope had been opened. But, when he looks at the contents of the letter, his heart drops. The ink is smudged with tear stains. He didn’t mean to make you cry. That’s the last thing he wanted. He curses himself for hurting you even more and begins frantically searching the office for you.
He hears muffled sobs coming from the file room, and he reluctantly knocks on the door. After hearing nothing in response except for your continued whimpers that were sending daggers through his chest, he forces himself to open the door. When he sees your disheveled state on the ground, he gasps, feeling guilty for causing you to feel this way.
At the sound of the door opening, you turn your head, revealing your puffy eyes. Upon noticing that it was Spencer, you quickly stood up, trying to dry your cheeks. You both stood there in shock, not knowing what to say. Through your foggy eyes, you notice as tears begin to form in his sullen eyes too. Both of you looked miserable, and it broke the other’s heart.
Spencer was the first to say something, breaking the silence. “I-I’m so sorry for making you cry, I didn’t-”
“Spence-” you cut him off. You didn’t think you could handle the sound of his pained, raspy voice. You didn’t trust yourself, not with how broken you felt inside.
“No. I just- I need to say this,” he insisted. Reluctantly, you nod, figuring it was the least you could do while trying to stop any more tears from falling. “I meant every word,” he continued, trying to meet your gaze. “A-and I don’t want to take it back, any of it. I don’t regret any of it. I-I love you (Y/n).”
You sigh at his words, unsure of how to respond. There was no doubting what you felt about this man, but you couldn’t admit that to yourself, let alone him.
“I don’t know what you want me to say,” you croaked out. You still hadn’t dared meet his eyes, but you could feel his heavy gaze penetrating into you.
“I want you to say you love me too,” he whispered.
“You know I can’t do that.” You bit your lip as you shook your head.
“Why not?” The desperation in his voice was almost palpable. You swallowed thickly before speaking again.
“Look Spencer, I’m sorry I hurt you, and I’m sorry I can’t be what you deserve, but I-”
“But that’s just it,” he interjected. “I don't need you to be anything but yourself. That’s all I need. You are all I need. I love you and I just need you to let me.”
“But Spencer, I-”
“Please,” he begged, shaking his head while on the verge of tears. “I can’t listen to you say you can’t do this. I can’t listen to you lie to me and to yourself. I know you love me too. If you didn’t you wouldn’t be here crying.” You roll your eyes, running your hand through your hair. “If I'm wrong, and you truly want me to stop, I will.”
You were silent. Spencer’s eyes searched yours for an answer, for any indication that you wanted him just as badly as he wanted you.
“Am I wrong?” he pressed. The insecurity he was trying so hard to quell still seeped through his voice.
After another moment of silence, you looked away, blinking away more tears that fell.
“No.” you choked out, looking up at the ceiling. “God, Spencer, why do you have to make this so difficult?” You look back at him, finally meeting his gaze. “Of course I love you. How could I not?”
“Then what’s the problem?” he demanded, stepping towards you. But, you still backed away from his touch.
“Because I love you too much,” you whispered.
Spencer’s mouth opened as looked at you, confusion clouding his face. “I-I don’t understand.”
“Fuck, Spence,” you sighed, gathering your thoughts. “I can’t let you love me just so I can hurt you later on, okay? Every time I've let someone in, I end up hurting them. And I've hurt you enough already.”
Spencer stared at you in disbelief, trying to formulate a response. At his silence, you swallowed the lump in your throat, pushing past him towards the door. Before you could, however, Spencer grabbed your wrist, pulling you back.
“I don’t care,” he whispered. His eyes bore deep into yours, his hand that still clung to your wrist was burning your skin.
“Spence-” you scoffed, pleading with him.
“No!” he shouted, full-on sobbing now. You reluctantly rolled your eyes again, trying not to show him how the tears that dripped down his face were plummeting straight into your heart, each one forming creators in the fragile fabric of your wounded heart. Spencer swallowed thickly before continuing. “You don’t get to decide how I feel or what I can handle, okay? That’s up to me. I love you and that’s all that matters. I don’t care if we break up in fifty years or in five weeks. I love you, just give me a chance before you give up on us. I-” he choked on a sob, “you haven’t even given me a chance”, he whimpers.
You were so close to caving in and just letting yourself give in to him. You wanted to feel his arms around you again. You desperately missed how safe and warm they made you feel.
“But what if we do break up?” you cried, looking deep into his eyes.
“Then we break up.”
“But I can’t lose you, Spence. I-I couldn’t survive it. I don’t want to know what it’s like to have you just for it all to be taken away one day”
“Who says I’m ever going to leave?” Your mouth opened and closed, you didn’t know what to say. “(Y/n), I love you. Even if we break up, I promise I will always be there for you.” He ran his hand through his hair, pacing slightly in the tiny room. “God, (Y/n), before I met you I didn’t even know it was possible to love someone this much, and I want to spend the rest of my life showing you.” He stopped moving, turning directly towards you. “But, I can only do that if you let me. I-I know it’s hard to let yourself be vulnerable, but I promise I’m here to catch you. It’s okay if you want to go slow, I’m willing to wait as long as you need. I just need you to not act like it’s over before we’ve even started.”
“I-I don’t know…”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean I don’t know, okay?”, you snapped, looking up at him
“What are you so afraid of?”
“Everything Spencer!” you admitted a bit too loudly. “Everything…” you sobbed, collapsing. Spencer rushed forward, catching you in his arms. He wrapped his arms tightly around your back, supporting you. He ran his hands up and down your back, trying to soothe your muffled cries that stained his shirt. He could feel his own tears running down his face, but at that moment, he didn’t care about anything but holding you, so he let them roll down his face and into your hair.
Your mind was racing, voicing screaming at you to leave and never look back. They told you that you were only hurting him more and that you were ruining everything.
But, when you felt Spencer’s gentle hands roaming your back and his soft hushes brushing against your ear, you had never felt safer. When you had finally calmed down and your breath steadied, you pulled back slightly so you could look at him. You stared at Spencer, into his deep amber eyes. For the first time, you didn’t see all the ways you could destroy him and lose everything. Instead, you saw a future. You saw all the possible ways in which you could love him and share a life together. Slowly, after taking a deep breath, you nodded your head.
“Okay”, you whispered.
Spencer’s face lit up upon hearing you. “Yeah?” he asked, weary that one wrong move would send you running.
“Yeah,” you smiled, falling back into his open arms. He wrapped his arms tightly around you, never wanting to let you go. He sighed in relief and kissed the top of your head while rubbing your back. Your arms tightened around his neck as you lifted your head to his ear. He could feel your warm breath on his neck, sending comforting shivers down his spine.
“I love you too,” you breathed into his ear. You pulled back slightly, but before you could do anything, Spencer smashed hip lips onto yours. He kissed you with such passion, that swore you felt your heart become physically tethered to his.
When you finally broke apart, desperate for air, you looked at each other, both standing there with glassy eyes, reflecting each other's smiles. You held one another in comfortable silence, knowing that regardless of what uncertainties the future held, it would be okay, because Spencer loves you, and you love him.

Right back at 'cha with the Cocktail OC asks!
chocolate martini, pina colada, blue lagoon, and manhattan for whichever of your OCs have the most interesting answers!
(You're a wonderful and amazing human and I love seeing you on my dash and in my notifications <3333)
Ahh, thank you so much, Anna!! <333 I love seeing you on my dash too!! :D
chocolate martini - does your OC's name or desing reference anything? (music, movies, etc.)
Not really?? All the names were chosen becauses they sound nice rather than with meaning in mind, and their personalities are shaped by their role in the plot, and also their backstories more than anything else. BUT Fallon's name is derrived from an Irish word that means "leader", which is absolutely perfect, though I didn't know that until after I had named her. Also, the name of Kristopher's horse, Phillip, is the name of the horse in the Chronicles of Narnia. I didn't come up with that name, though. I asked a friend for name ideas for a horse, and got that one, along with the reminder that it was from Narnia.
pina colada - if your OC has a bag or purse, what are 5 things that would be inside?
Hmm... I'm going to go with Lavinia for this one. No one really has a purse or a bag that they carry around regularly, but since everyone minus Fallon is a guest, they all have lugage.... Lavinia would have: - Dresses. (Ballgowns for balls, and simpler ones for everyday wear.) - Perfume - Jewelry - A dagger (in a hidden compartment in her lugage) - A super sneaky all-black outfit. (also hidden)
blue lagoon - what does your OC wear to sleep?
I'm going to go with Fallon on this one, since there are actually a couple of scenes where she is in her "pajamas" of sorts. She actually has a few different sets of sleepwear. She has a dressing gown type thing that she wears when she's getting ready to sleep, or when she's just woken up in the morning. And she also has a nightgown, which is what she would actually wear to sleep. She would (almost) never let anyone see her in that, but she would let servants or people she very much trusts see her in the dressing gown.
manhattan - what kind of people does your OC hate the most?
I'm going to go with Kristopher. The obvious answer here would be his family, but that's too easy. So, I'm going to say that he hates people who have power but don't deserve it. People who were given or born into positions of power and who don't know what to do with it or who use it for their own advantage. Basically, people who abuse their power. He doesn't want to be King, and he knows he would be terrible at it (he does NOT have the temperament for it), but he also knows that his father and brothers don't deserve it, since all they do is use it to help themselves and hurt the people of Oryn. Part of the reason he admires Fallon so much is her dedication to do whatever is best for Anvia, regardless of how that will affect her. She could care less about her own wealth, but cares more about the safety and wellbeing of her people.

Tired
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: mild language
Alternate Universe: endgame fix-it
Characters: Peter Parker, May Parker, Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, Morgan Stark
Mentioned: Thanos, Happy Hogan
Prompt Credit: @tadie1234 || insomnia
Saying that Peter was tired was an understatement. Peter was beyond exhausted. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to sleep, he just couldn’t. Know matter how hard he tried, he could not fall asleep. He couldn’t remember the last time he got more than two hours of sleep in the night was. Honestly, he wasn’t sure that he had gotten more than that since the Blip, which had been over two weeks ago now.
At first, he had assumed it was his worry over Tony. He spent several days in the hospital after the battle, and it had been touch and go at first. But he was better now. Not healed completely, but well enough to go home. Peter thought that he would be able to finally be at peace now, knowing he would be okay, but he still wasn’t sleeping.
Peter refused to tell May what was wrong. Whenever she asked him, he would snap at her. He would feel guilty later, but he was afraid to apology. He knew that if he wasn’t careful, he would break down and tell her everything. He didn’t know why that felt like such a bad thing to him, but he didn’t plan on her finding out any time soon. Still, May knew something was up. It wasn’t like him to be so irritable.
For a few weeks, she put up with it. The boy had been through a lot. She knew that what had happened with Thanos hadn’t been easy on him, and she had an idea that was part of the problem. She had hoped he would come around soon and open up to her, but she still had no luck. Eventually, just over a month after the Blip, she broke down and called Tony. She hated to bother him, but she was lost at what to do. She couldn’t watch her nephew obviously suffer for any longer.
Tony wasn’t expecting the call from May. It was later in the evening; he had just got back downstairs after putting Morgan to bed when he heard the ringing noise. When he read the Caller ID, he struggled not to panic. He couldn’t think of why she would be calling him so late unless Peter was hurt. “Hello?”
“Hey, Tony, it’s May,” she started. He could hear the hints of worry in her tone, but he assumed by the fact she wasn’t panicking that Peter wasn’t terribly hurt. “I’m really sorry to bother you so late. I was just wondering if you had time to talk.”
Pepper raised an eyebrow at Tony and he mouthed to her that it was May before replying. “It’s no trouble, May,” he promised her, moving farther away from the stairs so he wouldn’t disturb Morgan. “Is everything okay?”
May sighed on the other end. “I’m not sure,” she admitted. “That’s why I was calling. Something is up with Peter. He’s seemed so tired lately and he’s really irritable. Whenever I try to ask what’s wrong, he snaps at me and you know as well as I do that’s not like him. And I hate to bother you with it, but I don’t know what to do. I don’t know if I’ve done something wrong or if he just doesn’t want to talk about whatever is going on.”
“Hey, it’s okay,” Tony told her. He couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness for the boy. “I was actually planning on seeing if he wanted to come spend the weekend with us sometime soon. If he wants to, you can bring him by Friday after school and he can stay until Sunday evening. Pep and I can see if we can figure anything out, and it might help him having Morgan around for a bit.”
“Are you sure?” May asked uncertainly.
“Positive,” Tony told her. “I would have asked sooner, but. . . Well, you know.” He glanced around the mechanical arm he was still getting used to. He had become irritable himself as he struggled to adjust, but he was grateful that Pepper had been there the whole time. Morgan helped too, and had been more understanding than he expected a five year old to be when they explained that Daddy couldn’t play too much for awhile. “It would be hypocritical of me to not invite him over, really.”
He knew that Pepper had told May the truth of why he risked everything. That it was for Peter more than anything. Because he knew that he couldn’t live with the guilt knowing that he could’ve done something if he decided not to. All because of what Peter had told him the first day they met. “When you can do the things that I can do, but you don’t. . . And then the bad things happen. . . They happen because of you.” He felt like he would be letting Peter down if he didn’t at least try to fix everything.
“I’ll talk to him about it tomorrow,” May decided, pulling Tony from his thoughts. “Thank you. . . Not just for this. For everything. I don’t think I can ever thank you enough for bringing us home.”
“Hey, it wasn’t all me,” he said, chuckling a bit. He had grown used to the thanks that people kept handing out. And while he did do something, he didn’t do it alone. “If it wasn’t for that boy of yours. . . Well, let’s just say things wouldn’t have turned out the way they did.”
Peter plastered on a tired smile as he carried his bag up the porch steps, turning to wave at May before she drove away. They had come to the lakehouse a few times before, but it still amazed him how beautiful it was. He never imagined Tony to be one to want to live anywhere but the city, but he could understand why he loved it here. It was quiet and peaceful, and far away from paparazzi and politics.
“Peter!” Peter’s enhanced hearing picked up the sound of footsteps and Morgan’s squeal long before she made it to the door.
“Morgan!” He bent down to pick her up as she came through the door. His smile grew a bit more genuine as he let her sit on his hip while he went inside. “I missed you, M.”
“I missed you too, Petey,” Morgan said quietly, pressing her head into the crook of his neck as he put his bag down. She hummed with contentment when Peter sat down on the couch and hugged her tight. “Spidey hugs?”
“Big Spidey hugs,” he murmured, squeezing her a bit. He heard footsteps as another figure entered the room. He didn’t have to look up to know who it was. “Hey, Tony.”
Peter jumped as his hair was ruffled, shooting a playful glare at the man. “Hey, Kiddo. May not want to come in?”
“She has an early shift tomorrow,” Peter explained, releasing his grip on Morgan as she started to wiggle away, moving towards her dad. “Thanks for asking me to come. I really appreciate it.”
“Of course, Pete,” he replied, picking up Morgan and placing her on his lap. “You’re always welcome here. If May can’t bring you, one of can pick you up or I can call Happy. He’s here at least once a week anyway.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Peter promised. “Thank you.”
Even at the lakehouse, Peter struggled to sleep. It was close to six in the morning when he finally drifted off, and he was woke at eight to an excited child bouncing on his bed, ready to play. “Morgan. . .”
“Wake up!” Morgan squeaked. “I wanna play!”
“Give me a few minutes,” Peter whined, tugging at the blanket. He let out a small growl when the girl pulled it back. He did his best to stay level-headed, not wanting to snap at her despite his annoyance. “Stop, Morgan. I’m trying to sleep.”
“But it’s morning!” Morgan protested, tugging at the blanket again. “Come on, Petey! Play with me!”
Peter was silent for a few moments, trying to fall asleep again when Morgan stood up and started bouncing. That was the last straw; Peter swung at her before he realized what he was doing. He didn’t even know what had happened until he heard her start crying and realized he had hit her. “Morgan!”
Morgan pulled away as he reached out to her, jumping off the bed and running out of the room sobbing. Peter immediately felt guilty. He hadn’t meant to hurt her. He could feel tears gathering in his eyes but he refused to let them spill as he stood up and started to pack up his things. He was sure that he would be forced to leave now. No matter how much Tony and Pepper cared about him, he had just hurt their child. He deserved whatever punishment came to him.
“Are you serious, Peter?” Peter flinched at the harsh words. He turned slightly to face Tony, but couldn’t manage to look him in the eyes. “You can’t do sh*t like that. She’s five!”
“I’m sorry,” Peter mumbled, looking down.
“Sorry doesn’t cut it this time,” he replied. His anger reminded Peter of the ferry incident, and he knew that he was serious. “You could have seriously hurt her.” Peter was silent, not daring to look up as he heard the man sigh. “I was looking forward to having you over, Peter. Straighten up your act or I’m calling May to come pick you up.”
Peter broke the second that Tony left, sobs wracking his body as he kneeled on the floor. He wasn’t sure how long he was there before he heard footsteps and someone kneeled beside him, rubbing his back. “I’m sorry,” he whispered, shaking his head. “I’m sorry.”
“Shh,” Peter was surprised with how gentle Pepper was with him, pulling him close as he cried. “It’s okay, Kid. It’s okay.”
“No it’s not,” he protested. “I hurt Morgan. I-I swear I didn’t mean to. I-I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
Peter heard another set of footsteps and didn’t dare look up. He could tell from their heaviness that it had to be Tony. “I’m sorry,” he repeated. “I-I’ll go home. I-I won’t bother you guys anymore, I promise. I’m so sorry.”
“Hey, Pete. . . Look at me.” Peter hesitated. He felt tricked by the sudden softness of Tony’s voice. It wasn’t until he felt a finger on his chin that he finally looked up. “You want to tell us what’s going on?”
“I just— I-I’m so tired,” Peter cried, his sobs growing louder. “I can’t sleep. I-I can’t sleep a-at all and it’s m-making me so. . . So, terrible. A-and I— I got mad a-and I didn’t know wh-what I was doing and i-it just happened, I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry. I-I messed up.”
Peter was surprised when Tony pulled him close, running a hand through his messy hair. “Breathe, Pete,” he murmured. “I’m sorry I yelled. I won’t say that what you did was okay, but mistakes happen and I should have heard you out before I got mad.”
“I deserved it,” Peter mumbled. He didn’t pull away, just letting the man hug him. “Sh-she probably hates me now.”
“She’ll be okay in a day or two if not sooner,” Pepper told him. “She’s young and forgiving. Just let her know that you’re sorry and she’ll forgive you. She loves you, Peter. We all do.”
Peter sighed but didn’t protest. “I-if I need to go home, I understand,” he said quietly after a beat of silence, finally pulling away. “Yo-you guys should be worrying about her, not me.”
Tony exchanged a glance with Pepper before looking back at Peter. “You’re our kid too, Pete,” he said softly, putting a hand on the boy’s knee. “We’re allowed to worry about you just as much as we worry about Morgan. When you’re hurting, it hurts us too. Let us help.”
Peter glanced down, not sure. As much as he wanted the help; he wanted sleep, he didn’t want to take away from Morgan. Because even if they saw him that way, he wasn’t really their kid and he was sixteen. He should be able to help himself. But the more he thought, the more tired he felt. More tears threatened to spill, and he shook his head, taking a shaky breath as he felt two sets of arms around him. He wasn’t sure how long they stayed like that, but he eventually heard quiet footsteps and then felt a tug on his sweater.
As the three pulled apart, Peter glanced over to see Morgan looking at him shyly, holding something behind her back. She seemed unsure of herself at first, but she finally lifted her eyes to look at him. “I’m sorry for making you upset,” she said quietly. She pulled a plushie out from behind her back and handed it to Peter. He noticed that it was a chubby Iron Man bear. She held another bear in her hand, hers dressed in a Spider-Man outfit. “When I’m sad, I cuddle Spidey Bear ‘cause you’re my favorite. You said Daddy’s your favorite, so you can borrow Iron Bear until you’re happy again.”
Peter smiled softly and held out an arm. He was a bit surprised when she moved closer, letting him pull her into a side hug. “Thanks, M,” he said quietly. “I’m sorry I hit you.”
“It’s okay,” she replied. “It doesn’t hurt that much now. Mommy kissed it to make it better.”
“Good,” he murmured, his voice wavering a bit. “It won’t happen again, okay? I promise.”
“I know,” Morgan told him. “I love you, Petey.”
Peter almost choked on his words as he replied. “Love you too, Morgan.”

I wanted to post the things I’ve made this year in one place.  I haven’t posted most of them over here—largely because I’m not tumblring a lot these days.  But I made a lot this year—both visual and written—that I’m proud of and wanted to share it out.  You can find this post also in tweet form here!
Happy 2020, Reylo friends!  It’s been a wild ride of a year, and mine couldn’t have been what it has been without you.

“Listen asshole,” Rey says as she steps through the door of Poe’s deli. “You have exactly as long as it takes me to buy these cigarettes.”
Ben doesn’t waste a second breathing. “Metaphysically speaking, you and I are intrinsically and inexplicably linked,” he starts because there’s no time for beating around the bush and besides, Rey can sniff out a lie like no one else. “And I'm convinced our true purpose is to to connect with each other, if not help save each other's lives.” She’s opening her wallet and handing Poe a ten. “In another world, hopefully you are doing the same for me.”
The Other Thing for @persimonne
That’s what they don’t warn you about, he thinks idly. In his DesEd class, they’d warned him about knots, and heats, and ruts, and nesting. But they’d never warned him that her home would smell so much like her, like everything he’s ever wanted, that he would be unable to extricate himself.
“Can you make it a little more interesting in like...thirty minutes?” he asks her.
She pulls away and he immediately regrets saying a damn word.
“I could make that work,” she replies dryly. “I’ll pencil you in.”

Rey’s seeing double by the time there’s food on her plate. Oh. There’s food on her plate. That’s good. That’s unexpected at this point. “Eat,” Ben tells her.
So she does. It tastes good. Very good. She likes this food a lot.
“I’ll make sure she knows,” Ben says.
Oh she’s at that point of drunk where she’s just saying things out loud instead of keeping them in her internal monologue.
“You are,” Ben says, looking very amused.
She hopes she doesn’t say anything embarrassing.
“I promise, you haven’t yet, but oh boy, I’m looking forward to this.”
She shoves food into her mouth to keep herself from thinking out loud about his dick in her ass at his mother’s Passover seder.

Forged for @reyloner
There are several reasons that Ben would never have dreamed he’d ever receive this text. The first is that he’d be invited to a Halloween party. The second is that he’d never in his life expected to be in a serious relationship, much less the sort of serious relationship where his partner would suggest matching Halloween costumes. And the last is that he is dating someone who’s show only and they’ve only almost murdered one another twice. Because he’s an A Song of Ice and Fire fan. He hates Game of Thrones.

“We ready?” he asks her, sounding huffy.
“Nice to meet you Ben, I’m just familiarizing myself with your training,” she replies.
“Ok, well I don’t have all day.”
“No, you have,” she checks her watch, “another hour.” Because of course he’d booked an extra long session. Bless that sweet, sweet overtime pay.
“And you’re sure you know what you’re doing?” he asks her and she glances up at him, sure that her eyes are flashing because that’s fucking rude. She’s a professional. Amilyn wouldn’t have hired her if she didn’t know what she’s doing, and just because he apparently thinks he’s the center of the universe doesn’t change that fact.
“Don’t worry, you’ll get your bang for your buck,” she tells him icily.

“You realize that Hannukah isn’t an important holiday, right?” Ben asks as she makes eye contact with him.  His eyes are big and brown and—at this moment—mildly annoyed.
“Really?  Is it a giant conspiracy theory?  Part of the war on Christmas?”
“More than you realize,” Ben says and for the life of her she can’t tell if he’s joking.  He does this thing sometimes that’s confusing—where he’ll say something that sounds mopey but is actually snarky and it disarms her every damn time.  “In any event, ugly Hanukkah sweaters definitely aren’t a thing the way ugly Christmas sweaters are.”
“Well, they are now,” Rey says firmly.  “I’m making you an ugly Hanukkah sweater.  Deal with it. And stop moving.”
Ours Is The Fury for @reyloner & @commandercrouton

There are many things that Ben could have tolerated about his parents’ divorce. That his mother had finally had it with his father’s borderline illegal—or rather, as he liked to put it, borderline legal—company, the shady activities it covered that would doubtlessly end her political career if a reporter got hold of them; that his father had finally had it with the way his mother nags, because sure, he’d thought it was hot twenty years ago, but he is in fact an adult who can actually keep his shit together—all that he would have gotten. He’d have been wrecked, but he’d have gotten it.
His dad leaving his mom for a nineteen-year-old gold-digger though, and his mother not even putting up a fight—that had caught him by surprise.
That had hurt.
Be nice to her, Ben, his mother had said on the phone when he’d spoken to her for the first time in five years. She just lost your father.
Yeah. So did I.

That water’s too dirty to wash away your sins.
“They’re not sins. I didn’t commit them against god. There is no such thing as god.”
Then whatever you want to call them. Crimes don’t get washed away by a river.
“It’s a cursed river,” Ben points out.
No, it’s a polluted river. Curses aren’t real. Not like that, anyway.
“Are you really well-actually-ing me?”
Yes, I am. Because you’re an idiot. Some extremely oily and not remotely potable water is not going to be able to remove the guilt you feel about killing your father, turning your back on your mother, murdering hundreds of innocents, and helping the First Order destroy the world. Especially when you knew I wasn’t going to let you die.

“Mission success?”
“You will be interested in this.”
“Oh?”
Kylo glances back over his shoulder. The girl he had found on Takodana is still deeply unconscious, and will remain so for a long while. He had knocked her out as deeply as he could. She had fired at him the moment she’d seen him, resisted him tooth and nail. He does not want her waking up until he has her properly restrained, and he had not come to Takodana prepared to take any prisoners.
A shiver runs up his spine as he tries to shove away how it had felt, carrying her through that forest.
“Yes.”
“How so?”
The trouble with helmets is he can’t look Kira dead in the eye anymore. He can’t watch her face closely to see what will happen when he tells her,
“She’s you.”
Dear Mr. President | WIP | Moodboards: Ch13
Dr. Dameron shifts and slides a manilla folder across the desk to her. “Under ordinary circumstances, I’d let you keep the folder. I hope you’ll understand why I can’t do that this time around.”
She opens it and stares.
She stares and stares and stares.
Dr. Dameron has to be kidding. There have to be hidden cameras here, this has to be some elaborate prank. That’s why it’s him here and not Dr. Wexley—that was his name. Dr. Wexley.
But instead of getting to her feet and tossing her hair and saying he was cruel for playing with her heart like this, all she does is ask, blankly, “So...Ben Solo is my soulmate? Our new president is my…”
She swallows.
And Dr. Dameron nods.

His smile fades and he falls to the ground, his head hitting the ground with a sharp crack.
“Ben!” The yell echoes around them in the darkness and Rey lurches forward, her hands scrabbling over his face, his neck, trying to find a pulse.
She bursts into tears when she finds it. She doesn’t know why she’s crying. He’s alive.

If Only Someone Looked At Me Like They Look At Guns 10
I contemplated rushing back up the stairs while their backs were still to me, but that last step squeaked, just as I turned. Fuck. I closed my eyes, hoping no one heard, after all they were locked in an embrace with their mom.
“Tessa.” My name, in unison again. Damn it. “Darlin’ dat you?” Connor finished.
I opened my eyes and wished that I’d had the forethought to throw on a robe over the tight nightgown I was wearing. Once they focused on ALL of me, they’d know. Shit. “Connor,” I turned around and felt my breath leave me. “Murphy.” My face crumpled and I felt so overcome with emotions that I sobbed. Damn hormones.
They rushed forward and wrapped their arms around me. Hushing me, clearly too worried about my sudden outburst than me clearly visible bump, they held me and kissed my hair. Their scent was all around me, cigarettes and that soapy smell, but then it was overwhelming and I pulled harshly away and ran to the bathroom. The vomit spewed from me as soon as I had the toilet seat up. I felt them behind me and couldn’t even find it in me to care. This was all due to their demon spawn after all.
“Tessa?” Murphy whispered, the worry heavy in his voice.
“Yer ok?” Connor asked, his brother’s worry reflected in his own tone.
Once everything was gone, and I mean everything, I flushed the toilet and rose to my feet. Moving to the sink, I grabbed the toothbrush that had a sister in every available room in the house. Carefully brushing my teeth, I waited them out. I felt them leave the doorway and sighed, spitting the toothpaste out and rinsing my mouth. It was time for a pep talk to the MacManus nightmares I was carrying.
“Listen up, kiddos, your daddies are home.” I whispered, cradling my small bump in my hands. “So calm the fuck down, would ya?”
I could hear them talking to their mother as I left the bathroom. I hovered out of sight, wanting to be a coward and let Annabelle tell them. “It’s ‘er secret ter tell.” I heard the woman I’d come to love telling them. Damn it, she wasn’t going to throw me a bone. “She’ll tell ya when she wants ter.”
I stepped out from my hiding spot. My arms were crossed over my chest, which was growing almost as rapidly as my bump. “I didn’t get the heads up you were heading home.” I said, breaking up the clearly tense atmosphere in the kitchen. I noticed that Annabelle had made me a cup of green tea, she knew that it helped after one of my episodes.
“Couldn tell ya.” Connor said, as I took my seat at the table.
“Couldn tell anyone.” Murphy agreed, sitting in the chair to my right. Connor took the one at my left and Annabelle sat across from me. “Are ya sick, Tess?”
I chuckled, and glanced at Annabelle who was smiling back at me. “Only sometimes.” I answered, waiting to see how truly unobservant the two of them were. “Just when something is too smelly to deal with.” Annabelle laughed at that one.
“Mudder,” Connor admonished. “Tisn’t funny. She should see a doctor.”
Now I laughed, hard. “I have.” I answered, and looked up to see the two of them staring at me like they had when I was delirious from exhaustion. “Don’t worry, it’ll pass in about five months.” Annabelle caught my eye and we shared another fit of giggles.
“Damn it, women.” Connor growled, glaring between us.
Murphy’s glare came next. “Dis isn’t funny.”
I took one of each of their hands in mine. “No, it isn’t.” I agreed, sobering.
“Naught at all,” Annabelle agreed, taking their other hands in hers.
I looked at her and she gave me a nod. “I’m pregnant, boys.” They paled, the both of them, and I was worried for a moment that they’d faint. Annabelle shook her head at me and I could tell that she wanted me to wait.
“Pregnant?” They breathed together.
“Tessa,” Connor whispered, clutching at my hand.
“Is it only da one?” Murphy finished, drawing my attention back to him.
I shook my head and their hands tightened on mine and I imagine their mom’s. “Twins.” I answered as their focus held on me.
Annabelle released their hands and stood. “‘M goin’ ta bed.” She announced and kissed each of us on the head as she passed. “‘Ave a good night.” And she chuckled as she made her way to her room.
“Let’s get ya ready fer bed, Tessa.” Murphy said, voice thick.
“I’ll jus lock up.” Connor answered, moving to the door.
Murphy tugged me to my feet and finally gazed on the obvious bump. Before he could take me upstairs, his hands fell to my bump. And then he was kneeling in front of me, tugging up my nightshirt, and kissing the swell. Connor had come back and joined him in kneeling before me. His hands replaced Murphy’s and then his lips were kissing the bump.
“Our babies.” Murphy whispered, rising to his feet and finally kissing me.
“Aye,” Connor agreed, standing on the other side of me and asking for his own kiss. “My tern, Tessa.” He whispered, kissing me softly.
“Ah, Tess, we’ve missed ya.” Murphy’s voice, quiet and low, the heat of it against my shoulder. And it was just like that first night with them, only this time, they carried me together upstairs and into OUR room.
THE NEXT MORNING
“Dese beds are smaller dan I remember.” Connor groaned, clutching me to him, back to his front as always.
I giggled as Murphy glared at the sunlight shining in the windows. “‘Nd de curtains don do shit against da sun.”
Another round of giggles bubbled from me as Murphy’s skin pressed against my front. “You two are ridiculous.” I said, kissing Murphy then Connor. “You’re free, and we’ve put two beds together to make this one, the sun’s shining because you’re home. Stop bitching.” I sat up and felt the two of them follow suit. I was naked. Of course I was, since they were home, clothing would become redundant in our bedroom.
After many kisses, a fight over the shower (between them, not me, of course), throwing on clothes, I made my way downstairs. Annabelle was cooking, I could hear it so I stopped on the stairs.
“Do nah worry, tis all babe approved food.” She shouted, hearing that damn stair moan no doubt. I laughed and joined her. “Dose babes disappoint der nanna.” She gave a mock glare at my bump.
“I’m sure once they’re here, they’ll love the local cuisine.” I said, smoothing her fears. “For now, they’re inside me, and since I’m not a fan-”
She rolled her eyes at me and chuckled. Handing me a cup of tea, she glanced upwards. “Where are dem lads o’ mine?” She asked, then eyes twinkling she looked down at me. “Wear ‘em out did ya?”
I choked on my sip of tea. Sputtering and hearing her laugh, I cleaned up the mess I made. “You are incorrigible.” I accused, and smirked at her. “And, no I didn’t. I’m an expectant mother, haven’t you noticed?”
“Aye, and ‘ow’d yer become one?” She shot back. “Gonna ‘aveta buy some earplugs.” She shook her head and I felt my blush burn. “Dere it is. Knew I’d get one outta ya.”
I shook my head with restrained laughter. “You’re terrible. Honestly, Annabelle!”
“Wat’s goin’ on in ‘ere?” Connor asked, finished his hard one first shower I saw.
“Your mother is terrorizing me.” I tattled, feeling the heat of his body against the back of my chair. His hands were on my shoulders, and I tilted my head back and his lips met mine. “She’s insinuating that we were loud last night.” I said when he pulled away.
“Dat wasn’t us.” Murphy offered, coming into the room moments after his brother and kneeling at my right to get his own kiss.
I looked up at Annabelle in triumph, until the two of them threw me under the bus. “Dat was ‘er, Mudder.” They were pointing at me. The assholes. My triumph shot low, I pinched my lips as the laughter finally took over me.
“You all suck.” I said, drinking my now tepid tea. “First the babies that hate the smell of EVERYTHING.” I glared briefly at my stomach. “ Then a grandma who mocks a poor first time mother.” I shook my head at Annabelle. “And the fathers? Don’t get me started.” I said as the two of them took their seats at the table.
“Don be like dat,” Murphy said, taking my hand.
Connor took the other. “Dat’s right. We love ya.”
“We all love ya,” Annabelle interjected, filling plates with the food she’d made. “Even if ya ‘ave da taste buds of a wee babe.” She smiled down at me.
“I know,” I said, smiling at all of them. “But the hormones, ugh.” I ran my hand over my bump. “I never know what’s going to make me laugh, what’s going to make me cry, and what’s going to make me throw up.”
“We’re ‘ere now, Tess.” Connor reminded me.
“Yer not alone,” Murphy gave me their promise.
Annabelle snorted. “And wha was I?” She asked, giving each of us a plate. “She weren’t alone before, ya ninnies.” She sat with her own. “She needs comfortin’. She needs less worry.” She shot pointed looks at her sons. “She needs ter know yer nah ‘eadin’ back ter the life.”
I felt the two of them talking to one another and so did she. She held my focus as they discussed their next steps.
Murphy and Connor sighed. “We only got released cause of Smecker.” Connor admitted.
“‘E made good on keepin’ us on da outside.” Murphy agreed.
I nodded, of course, I’d read about Smecker. He was their help on the inside. An FBI agent who kept them free before. I’d thought he’d died. “I understand,” I whispered, biting into my toast.
“No, ya don.” Murphy answered. Shaking his head and forcing me and his mother to keep our attention on the twins.
“‘Da deal is we gotta keep workin’, but not for a bit.” Connor replied, taking a bite of his own food.
Murphy smiled, reassuring me. “Las time took eight years to get us back.”
That was true, I thought. It was what brought them into my life. I felt Connor’s hand on mine again.
“We’re ‘ere, and we plan on bein’ ‘ere fer dem.” He gestured to my bump. “And fer ya.”
Annabelle nodded, clearly approving of this new plan for our lives. She glanced at the clock. “Tessa? Do ya work today?” It was growing close for my usual time.
I shook my head. “No, the owner saw how active the babies were yesterday and gave me today off.” I smiled at how kind the people were here. “He said to let him know if I need more.”
The boys were watching us. “Ya could quit now.” Connor offered.
I smiled. “I don’t have to work at all, Connor.” I remembered the more than fair price I’d gotten for my store, and the ease of selling off other non-essentials. I had more cash than I needed for some time.
“So why are ya?” Murphy asked, eating his own breakfast, but as laser focused as his brother.
“Been askin’ ‘er the same ting since she started.” Annabelle offered. I rolled my eyes at the three of them.
“I like to work.” I said, shaking my head. “It gets me out and around people.”
“Tis gettin’ harder tho, isn’t it?” Connor asked, his hand still holding mine.
I sighed, yes, it was. And I wasn’t even halfway through my pregnancy. “What would I do if I didn’t work?” I asked, glancing at the three of them.
“Could find us a house.” Murphy replied, shrugging his shoulder.
“Den yer could spend da time fixin’ it fer da babies.” Annabelle agreed, clearly warming to the idea.
“A place nearby, but wit more room.” Connor offered, and I was thinking they’d been discussing this without me, but when?
I sat back, and studied the three of them. “Where is it?” I knew that they’d come up with this together, maybe not with the knowledge of my pregnancy, but definitely a set up.
“Where’s what?” Connor asked too innocently to be believable.
I raised an eyebrow and Murphy soothed me with his confession. Truly my favorite twin. “We jus thot when we got out, dat we’d want our own place wit ya.”
I shook my head and chuckled. I was adding two more to this family of goofballs. “So?” I asked, “Where is it?”
“Go get dressed,” Connor replied with a smile.
“We’ll take ya when yer ready.” Annabelle agreed with her own grin.

Ok, but consider this concept: at 16, while formally dating Eddie, Richie comes out as a trans girl. It's not easy to process and it takes her a lot of time. At first, she thinks it's because she spends too much time with Bev, because she helps her with her fashion desings and listens to her girl bands. But, eventually, she starts to realize it's far more deep than that.
During several months, she keeps it a secret, which is terribly painful, specially when Eddie's homophobic mother tells her she's "a disgusting pervert" and "turned her son into a f*ggot". Also, Eddie is getting more comfortable with his own sexuality, even yelling "yes, I'm gay, I'm dating a guy" at bullies when they insult him.
Richie just doesn't have the heart to tell him what's going on. Eddie might be disgusted and leave her. He's got the right to do that, actually. No one can force him to date someone he's no longer attracted to.
Things get worse when they become sexually active. It's hard not to feel like a freak when Eddie is praising her dick and the things it does to him. Or when he's praising her most masculine traits.
She can't pretend forever. Eventually, it starts to break her. She grows more and more quiet, more sad. She doesn't act like herself anymore. She doesn't even tell sex jokes anymore, because it hurts just to think about it. And, tired of the situation and worried, Eddie asks what the hell is happening. And then she does it. She cries.
"I don't feel like a guy anymore, Eds..."
Eddie just holds her and allows her to get everything out of her chest. Finally, when she calms down, he tells her it's unexpected and kind of weird (not in a "being trans is weird" way, but a "wow, Richie is a girl" one), but he doesn't mind.
"But... but Eds, you don't like girls. You're fucking gay."
"Guess I'm just Richie-sexual," Eddie shrugs, and they both laugh.
Since that day, everything changes. Richie definetely comes out. Her hair is longer, her voice is higher. When she tells her parents, while Eddie holds her hand, Wentworth nods and says "I'm happy for you" and Maggie just smiles and says "I always wanted a daughter."
The coming out to the Losers is not hard, either. After she says it, there's a brief silence and is quickly replaced by Stan asking "so should we call you Rachel or Rita or..." and everybody hugging her. She decides to keep the Richie thing around, though. She's used to it, it sounds neutral enough and nobody calls her Richard, anyway.
Eddie's mother, though, doesn't take it half as well.
"I know this is a step in the right direction, but, Eddie-bear, dating a man in disguise is just as wrong. Why don't you find a nice, real girl who..."
"Shut the fuck up, mom," he cuts her off. "Richie is the only girl I'll ever like, and not because she is, as you say, 'a man in disguise' but because she's Richie, and she's my best friend and my girlfriend, whenever you like it or not."
Eddie doesn't speaks to his mom again after him and Richie leave Derry to go to college.
Bullies are also assholes, to the point where Richie starts doubting she wants to go to prom. The humiliation would be unbearable. But, at the end, the Losers convince her to give it a try. It's the first time Richie wears a dress in public (designed by Bev, of course, just like all of her femenine clothes) and she totally rocks it.
A lot of students vote her as homecoming queen, as a mean-spirited joke, but joke's on them, because Richie goes with it with pride.
"I'm aware some of you voted for me as some kind of prank," she announces into the mic, "and to those people I just wanna say... eat my pussy."
She drops the mic and leaves the stage showing her middle fingers, and spends the rest of the night slowdancing with Eddie, still wearing her crown.
When they end college, Richie starts with her physical transition. Eddie is as supportive as always, but she can't help but thinking eventually he won't find her attractive anymore. He just likes her because she still looks like a guy, right?
Wrong! When Richie gets top surgery (after two years of fear and doubts), she tries to avoid any kind of intimancy. She totally loves her boobs, she's obsessed with them, but it's like she's always hiding them from Eddie. She doesn't want to freak him out.
But one night, tired of the situation, Eddie asks her to show him. And she does, trying to laugh it off with stupid jokes, but deeply scared.
"I like them," Eddie says. "Can I touch them?"
Richie nods, confused as he gently puts his hands on them and squeezes softly.
"I never... I never touched a girl's chest like this. Sorry if I'm nervous," Eddie explains.
"But... Eds, I thought you wouldn't like them."
"I love them, Rich. Just like I love the rest of you. Just like I would love your... I mean, if you ever decided to get one. My sexuality or yours will never change the way I feel about you."
"You say that now, but..."
"Hey," he smiles, "I told you I'm Richie-sexual."
They both laugh and kiss. Everything is perfect.

Adrien Augreste: Flirt
Okay, that was completely not how the model twins expected the day to go. Sure, they did now what they were doing when they proposed the challenge to Alya and Nina, but they made a terrible mistake, The models didn't take into account the undying love and adoration they felt for their respective partners. Thinking back, they probably should have seen this coming. Maybe they would have if they hadn't been so blinded by their cockiness and that cat pride they lately showed off so much.
So, the day begun like anyother, they waked up, had breakfast, prepared for the day and set off to high school. They already had spent about four years now and their relationships had only deepened with the pass of time. Some things have changed of course, like Nino finally asking Alya out, the model's aunt coming back to town or Nina and Alen falling for eachother in what probably was the weirdest business-like way to do it. But most of it was pretty normal. As their hero lives, Hawk Moth was saved from the curse, but thanks to a new villainess they didn't retreat the miraculous. The new villainess name was Monarch and she seemed to be against Hawk Moth but she also demanded the miraculous. Thanks to that, new heroes have risen and they had become quite a cheerful team. Thought their secret identities remaind unrevealed, the bugs knew their true identities as they had granted them the miraculous.
The new holders were also twins and had taken upon the miraculous of the fox, turtle and bee. The foxy twins were known as Rena Rouge and El Zorro, the cats liked them but they seemed to get along better with the bugs. The bees holders, which their identity was no secret as they publicly revealed themselves as the Burgeoise twins, had chosen the names of Queen Bee and Drone King, the cats tolerated them sometimes when they weren't actively flirting with the bugs. And last, but not least, the turtle duo were known as Carapace and Salihafa and frankly, the cats loved them.
Anyway, they already had arrived school when they saw Alya and Nino having a moment while Alen and Nina were happily ignoring them as they held hands. That's when they had probably the worst idea in their lifes. they decided to challenge Alya and Nina to see who was the best with pick up lines by telling one to their respective partner and whoever made them blush the most would win. As they had expected, the blogger and the ballerina were totally enthusiasmated with the idea and accepted inmediately without an inch of doubt. Nino and Alen were... Less excited about it, but they accepted nevertheless. Now all they had to do is to wait for their so loved designers and they'd make gala of their flirt talent as the parisians most infamous flirty heroes.
Marinette and Marin finally came, late as per usual, as their lessons had already started. As soon as the models saw them, they knew they had messed up. Both of the lovely designers were wearing new clothes today, probably their latest desings, and they definetly made Adrien and Adrienne's heart stop. If Adrienne had to define her boyfriend's new clothes, she would probably say something along the way of 'hot' or 'badass'. On the other hand, Adrien would describe Marinette's latest outfit as 'kawaii af' or 'breath taking'. However, both new how much screwed they were and apparently, Nina and Alya realised that too as they sent them the smuggest grin they had.
Unluckily for the models, the game was on and lunch time was unevitably coming bringing the model twins doom along. They met on the front gate with the others, Adrienne and Adrien regretting their mistake. Nina and Alya went off to find something as Alen and Nino explained to the designers about the game they were going to play. At the same time, Marin and Marinette turned to face the models and sent them a glare that made the models feel a chill climbing throught their spines. Before the designers could masacrate the models, Nina and Alya came back with Max and Mathilde to, in their own words, serve as righteous judges of their little flirting conquest.
"Now" said Alya with a smug face. "Shall we begin?"
"We still think this is a bad idea" said Alen and Nino.
"Come on scaredy cats, it's going to be fun" said Nina.
"Who is going first?" asked Marin.
"In order to finish this quickly, Max will judge his classmates and I'll judge mine. The winners will be subjected to a final trial by both of us" explained Mathilde.
"Sounds fair" said Nino.
Nino was the first to participate and he approached Alya, lifted her chin and said "I may be the DJ, but it's you who spin my whole world" Alya did blush and Adrien cheered on his smoothness.
Meanwhile, Alen was also the first participant of his class and kneeled in front of Nina as he said "I will need to report you to the dance authorities, because those moves you have have stolen my heart". Nina blushed and giggled at thatand Marin patted Alen on his back.
Then it was payback time. Nina grabbed Alen's shirt by the neck and said "If I'm a thief, you must be the capo, because my moves and heart are only yours". Alen gulped down and blushed furiously. Alya was slyer and just whispered something to Nino, who blushed and put down his cap accepting his defeat. Now it came the models turn and they had to take several breathes in order to focus and channel their inner cat selves to make their best attempt. Adrienne, determinate to win at all costs, hugged Marin and put on her best puppy face before saying "I used to chase butterflies, but thanks to you I always feel them in my stomach". Marin whole body turned red and he looked away out of pure embarrassement, which made Adrienne blush out of his cuteness and Nina laugh her ass of.
At the same time, Adrien put on his most charming face and faced Mari to say "My vet said that this mangy cat is lacking vitamin U, so will you take meowt?" Marinette helplessly blushed as she and the others groaned and rolled their eyes.
"Awfully punny as always dude" said Nino groaning, now less blushy.
"Well, at first, I was going to go with 'Are you an angel? Because I'm allergic to feathers' but it was to cliché. And what can I say, I'm the cat-" tried to say Adrien, but Marinette put her finger on his lips to shut him.
"Now, now kitty, don't you think it's my turn?" said Mari teasingly.
"She is correct, she still has to flirt back Adrien" said Max.
Marinette placed her hands around Adrien's neck and said "No matter how mangy you are, I want to spend with you our nine lifes". Adrien instanly stiffened and turned beet red, completely dazled by the pick up line combined with Marinette's killer cuteness.
Meanwhile, Marin hugged Adrienne and told her "Are you a drug? Because I never can get enough of you". Obviously, Adrienne also stiffened and blushed furiously at that instant, feeling like she was melting into a pile of goo.
"Great, now that we finished, you'll be impartially judged by your boyfriend or girlfriend's reaction" declared the science twins.
"Nina and Alen were good and their reactions were truly amusing" said Mathilde dilligently. "But the winner is undoubtely Marin. Even if his reaction was extreme, that same reaction made Adrienne blush and when he flirted with her, it was clear that she was breathless".
"As for my side, Adrien flirtation made everyone groan and roll ther eyes, but he managed to also make Marinette blush. Alya was subtle and powerful, but since we couldn't exactly hear her pick up line, she is discualified. Nino was also great, but Mari triggered the best reactior on her companion" said Max.
"Now, for the final trial, Marinette and Marin will have to stand against their partner flirtations once more, and the one who is less affected will win this competiton" said Mathilde.
"I'm not-" began Marin, but Alen set him a look telling him he had no chance of backing now.
Smiling, Adrienne hugged him back and told him "Are you breathing my medicine? Because I want you close to overdose on the air you breathe". With that Marin shaked a bit as his skin turned into the brightest red they had ever seen.
"For the moment, that's a total fail" said Max.
"But Mari still has a go and she may fail harder" remarked Mathide.
"Hey!" complained Marinette.
Adrien booped her nose to get her attention. Then he placed his hand on her cheek and caressed it carefully before he said "I know we are still young, but I can't wait until the day I'll Mari you". Hearing that, Mari instantly turned red and fainted, Adrien barely reacting in time to catch her.
"And she did, just as predicted" said Mathilde.
"I can believe that our little angel won the game, but I'm glad to know we've surpassed our dear sunshines" said Nina.
"Agreed. We had to teach them not to mess with our flirting technques" said Alya.
"Do I have to remind you that you were disqualified Alya?" said Adrienne, as the gang engaged on their usual banter.

So I'd like to write my opinion towards the so waited last movie of the loved franchise How to Train your Dragon, the post will contain Spoilers so if you didn't watch it yet I recommend not reading this post. I was quite disappointed with the movie but there were also parts I really enjoyed, like I said at the beginning its my opinion and I just want to share the cons and pros of that animated movie (AGAIN IN MY PERSPECTIVE), I just felt like it had more potential than what we got and it left a lot of unsweared things about the plot of the whole dragon universe created by them and felt a little lazy.
CONS:
1- This one made me feel uncomfortable, the whole snoutloud and valka ( Hiccup's mother) kinda romance, he was clearly into her and fighting to get her attention. Common if that's not at least a little bit disturbing? It's like one of your friends start to hit on your mom, its just weird. In the end of the movie we are not sure if they will have something or not, she praises him and he gets all lovey dovey. (FOR THOR NO, PLEASE NO) 2- OKAY THIS ONE IS THE THING THAT I WAS PASEKAEOSAKOEA (really annoyed), for me the last villain, the so called 'Night Fury' killer, the one who everyone was afraid of and said he was some master of the hunt, he was pretty shallow and dumb. His character was not really detailed and his reason to kill all Night Furys was even worse. He tells Hiccup when he killed his first Night Fury his whole tribe cheered because of that, so he just decided he wanted to kill all of them, I mean that's a good reason for a villain, pride or whatever you want to call it but not for the "ultimate villain", it's just really weak and lazy plot. Maybe I should put topics here about him, I watched the whole series and read the books so I might get a little into them now:
a. He doesn't look scary at all! I mean common when we had villains like Drago who had a really cool concept, a tough looking guy who called himself Dragon God or Dargo Bloody Fist, and the guy is 50 old! The guy enslaved dragons, controlled na Alpha dragon and he even rode Toothless. He was a hell of a villain he was really a madman. Now let's talk about Krogan, if you watched the netflix series you know him. The man is fucking awesome and you can actually fear him, he has a hell of a dragon as a 'partner', has a cool scar and a tough face, he's brave and fiercefoul, you don't want to mess with that dude. He ran to every fight with his dragon or without, let's not forget he captured a titan dragon! And his plans were smart too, it was a character that had knowledge and was a really amazing. We shall not forget about Viggo Grimborn, for me one of the best character in the series, you never know if you can trust him or not, he is the Crime Lord his whole appearence on the series was amazing, you saw him grow as a character and he had a lot of good plans and traps agaisnt the raiders. And we shall not forget about Johann, the man used the vikings for years and never revealed his true intentions, he was a master mind really good villain and a big plot twist in the whole universe. I could mention some other small villains here and there but my point is, all of them were really smart and were challanging for the gang to beat, with the so called "Night Fury Killer" was really dumb and he felt not so special, he had no good plan or a good reason for you to like, hate or fear him, he was just there because they needed to show the guy almost wiped all the little toothless off the earth. His character was really dissapointing to me.
b. We wanted to see new dragons, and especially new 'bad dragons' and we got some cool scorpion like dragons, nothing super creative and new, because we had the Triple Stryke already, (which is na awesome dragon). He had to drug those dragons to obbey him, which doesnt explain how they would listen to just him it made no sense at all. They were strong yea, but they were also dumb. Toothless got rid of 5 or 6 of them so easily it felt stupid. Like no challange whatsoever.
c. His poison darts were na idea we seen in the whole franchise a lot, so nothing new, I know it is a movie for kids but his darts could be deadly, like when he shot the dragon who charged after him, it would add a lot more to his character as evil and na asshole if he killed the dragon instead of putting it to sleep, just looked really overused to me. d. Overrall it was a really wasted character, the movie felt way too rushed and we didn't have time to see and develop anything for him. It was just a waste of animation and plot. 3- The light fury, I know a lot of people must be loving her concept, desing and etc etc, after all she is Toothless's mate, but her character at least for me wasn't much likeable. It seemed like she was just put there to end the story and to show the whole thing about growing up, because you will start to get distant of a lot of your friends and things change, because it is real life, that's true and we get it, but she as a character, she has no story, no explanation and we don't even get to know more about her. Again it felt really rushed. Don't get me wrong, I know it would be a lot of things to cover in a movie, but the whole franchise was always about giving and learning about dragons and how they react and their characteristics, so when we get nothing explained or the whole let's study this dragon or Fishleg's thirst for knowledge ( I do know he tried to draw her but he gave up too easily and didn't really seemed that interested) is dissapointing... It was finally someone Toothless could relate to and not be the end of his species, the way they should've dealt with it should've been different. There was more promo than plot. FISHLEGS DIDN’T EVEN CARE TO NAME HER, THATS HOW SPECIAL SHE WAS.
4- Hiccup's friends, his friends weren't really that important and funny, I get this whole movie is supposed to be more grown up, but we grew up with them, it felt like they were more like background characters than secondary. I think there were less dialogs and interactions between all of them, kinda sad.
5- Again the movie felt really rushed I don't think they covered things that were important for the end of the plot and focused on shallow and stupid things.
6- The hidden world, I wanted to learn and to see more of the hidden world, how it worked, the new species there, something, anything. Instead we just got a grumpy toothless going back to the new Berk with Hiccup and a stupid chase. I found something really strange too, with that many dragons, there should've been an Alpha, another dragon other than Toothless, but it's too convenient that we learn that Toothless is also Alpha in the Hidden World, and not just that suddenly all the dragons see him as a superior. AGAIN RUSHED and lazy, IT WAS THE FUCKING HIDDEN WORLD OF THE LEGENDS....
7- If you watched the trailer you watched the movie. I dont know whats going on with some trailers nowadays, but they are showing too much and basically you can tell everything that it's going to happen. I think it's really dumb and disrespectful to the watchers.
8- I know maybe you guys don't care but I really wanted to buy a new Toothless toy to put as a display on my computer, but the toys that were created for this movie, were really terrible looking and bad quality. And the new toothless (The huge one) is just the same as the other one from 2014, disapointing.
9- They said all the dragons disappeared and bla bla, but we seen that there were dragons in the sea, in some islands really far far away and hidden caves all around the world. Maybe the dragons near Berk were gone, near the vikings but not all the dragons in the world.
10- Where in the hell is Heather? Just that lol Where is Heather. Her dragon is sound and safe and didn't go to the hidden world. Neither did her brother's. Again a big flaw in the plot.
PROS 1- Okay I really liked the cinematography of this movie, you can tell how much they invested in it and how much they evolved, the animations, landscapes the dragons, the reflection on Toothless eyes were breathtaking. Amazing.
2- Toothless and Hiccup friendship, it is beautiful till the end, we love their friendship and how they interact with each other, theres no complain. Maybe we hate to see them getting apart because we realize that its what we are going to experience in some point of our lives, I thought I'd always see my friends from school and my friends that I had for more than 19 years, but time and life get in the way, friends will still be friends but you will likely see them less, which somehow make us sad.
3- Astrid and Hiccup marriage, it was touching and cute, I did feel like it was more for fan service but it's alright, it was cute and they deserved each other. 4- Astrid Growth, she had na amazing develop as a character and being always there to help Hiccup was really a big plus for her.
5- 'Mini meatlug' IT WAS ADORABLE ENOUGH SAID.
6- Hiccup realizing he had potential and with or without Toothless he would be a great leader, that is a really special moment in the movie and it's touching too, learning to believe in yourself and being independent.
7- Hiccup mother's appeared a lot during the movie, she had no super special scene but it was nice to see her and her adorable dragon.
8- The new 'elk dragon' I'm sorry I don't know his name in english yet and I just wanted to write this fast cuz I mainly don't really have anyone who's a fan to talk about and I'm excited! Anyways, he is just so cuteee!
9- The riders armors, it was a really cool idea and cool looking I approve that.
10- Toothless Babies, I really thought they would look cuter lol but I guess that's alright and we can't complain we got to see a nightlight fury babies for the first time so cuteee! Okaaaay if you guys want to add more points to my list or disccus about some feeel free! I want to talk about the moviee lol

A Good Morning on Friday: audition 5
Tumblr media
“I have to do my best on Friday. After all, I won’t be able to see you for two days.”
Hamanaka Midori and Narumi Sena are connected by the fact they both attend Sakuragaoka High School and, for one reason or another, their eyes meet inside the train they take to school every morning. Even though both are interested in the other, “good morning” won’t quite come out of their mouths due to their nervousness. Now a senior in the same class as Sena, Midori realizes his true feelings as he repeatedly practices his “good morning”s…?

I wish we could meet on Sunday, too… It’s fine to fall in love, isn’t it?
 audition 5
The first Sunday of summer break was clear.
Midori firmly bit down on his lips as he felt his skin gradually grow warm under the sun. I can’t. If I relax even a ‘lil bit, my cheeks’ll loosen up and dat’ll be terrible…
The fact that it had been a while since the last time he went to the amusement park wasn’t why he was excited. Of course, the park in its own way got him excited, but the most important reason was something else.
That’s right, it was the person that was walking next to him.
Midori glanced to his left while feigning nonchalance. The person next to him in her everyday clothes was Sena. She had a black cap pulled just above her eyes and she was reading the park map with a serious expression.
Dis… is a dream, ain’t it…? It was like he didn’t know what was real anymore. He took his thumb and index finger and pinched his cheeks as hard as he could.
It hurt. It considerably, fairly, quite frankly hurt. He couldn’t believe it; this was reality.
“Can we meet next Sunday?”
That message came from Sena last week Friday. When they rode the same train during the morning of the closing ceremony of the first semester. Midori had replied with “Of course,” and they quickly decided which park and when to meet. He had been surprised by the quick development, but, the next day after their messages, in other words, yesterday morning, he found the reason behind why Sena was in such a hurry.
It was because her role as the heroine’s best friend in a movie had been decided.
Midori discovered this when his mother was watching the morning news channel. He had been eating breakfast and was dazedly watching it when a large portrait of Sena appeared on TV. The subtitle “Narumi Sena, screen debut” then popped up.
I was so surprised and almost was ‘bout ta spit my toast out…
The announcer had said, “Filming will begin starting this summer.”
It looked like her schedule was packed with more work than usual during summer break since there’s no school, so it was possible that, other than today, she wouldn’t have any day offs for a while.
She’s so popular, huh.
Maybe Sena was worried about people watching her because she was different from usual. Her long hair was often tied into pigtails at school, but today it was in a ponytail. Her hair was even styled in pigtails in the Haniwa store’s pudding commercial so he had thought of the style like it was her trademark. Just by changing her hairstyle, his impression of her now was quite different.
Also, somehow, ain’t her clothes different from da image I had too…?
If you thought about the fact that they’d be walking around the amusement park grounds and be riding on many different attractions, her attire – a T-shirt in three-quarter cargo pants and a thin cardigan – was perfect. However, it was different from the so-called “cute type.”
Midori didn’t know much about girls’ fashion and he hadn’t seen much of stuff like Sena’s everyday clothes. But he was still surprised, “She wears dese kinds of clothes, huh.”
Maybe dat cap is fer hidin’ her face? When he thought of it that way, that would explain the mask.
When he met her on the train this morning, he was worried because he had thought she caught a cold. But Sena said while smiling, “No, this is as a precaution…”
He was impressed at first because he was convinced that when a person became a celebrity, they had to go all-out in managing their physical condition. But he then realized that that might not be the only reason why she was wearing a mask.
Ya definitely can’t tell it’s Narumi at first glance.
If she was being that cautious, then why did she want to go to the amusement park? Would it be easier to be discovered the more and more people there were? Or, on the other hand, it was more difficult to be discovered amongst a crowd of people so maybe that was what she was aiming for.
“Na-Naru…” Just as he was about to say Narumi’s name, he swallowed his words.
There would be no meaning to the disguise she especially put on if he said her name. Her surname was a bit uncommon and, even though she was hiding her face with her cap, Sena’s cuteness was somehow still exuding out to their surroundings. If the hints increased, then the probability of being discovered would likely increase, too.
“Hamanaka?” Sena lifted her head from the map and tilted her head in question, puzzled.
Woaaaaah, adorable! Dat’s foul play!
“N-Nnn…” Midori was somehow able to control his near shout by clearing his throat. However, he really didn’t want his expression to be seen by Sena and turned his face away, “…N-Nice weather we’re having.” For some reason, Midori said that formally.
“Huh? Oh, yes, it’s great that it’s clear.” Sena’s own words came out formally in response to Midori’s.
It was a little embarrassing and a strained laugh escaped with a puff. How funny. But for us, dis kinda mood might be good. When he thought of it that way, he felt the lump in his chest disappear. What da heck, I was unconsciously bein’ anxious ‘bout it…
When you thought about it, it was only just recently that he became able to talk to Sena. However, they were still awkward and he couldn’t talk to her as carefreely as he did with other girls like Natsuki or Nomiya. If he didn’t put his words together carefully, then they might fall into a long silence.
Even tho I can talk ta her without tryin’ dat hard in stuff like texts…
What did Sena think?
Even today, what was she thinking when she invited him out? Something like going to hang out at an amusement park one on one; it was like this was a date.
Huh? Date…? Wh-Wait a minute, is dis a date!?
He shook his head thinking there was no way but he couldn’t deceive his loudly beating heart. Midori put on a roundabout expression again and glanced at Sena. Coincidentally, it was also at that moment that she was looking at him and their eyes met.
“Y-You’re wrong! Just now was, um…” Midori flailed his hands in front of his face, flustered.
It was always like this when he was in front of Sena. He’d be nervous, his voice wouldn’t come out, and he looked lame. However, Sena kindly accepted who he was. Even now, although a curious expression appeared on her face, she was looking straight at Midori and waited for him to speak.
“…Why’d ya invite me out today?” Midori whispered after a long silence. The sweat that was dripping from his hair ran down the nape of his neck. A black shadow covered his brand-new sneakers as he cast his eyes down.
“I’m sorry! Do you hate the amusement park, Hamanaka?”
“Huh?” Midori was caught off guard by her words and reflexively lifted his head.
Sena mumbled, “What do I do?” with a pale face.
“No, I don’t hate dem? Actually, I love them…”
“Really? That’s great. I came here before for a magazine photoshoot but I couldn’t go on the rides at all. That’s why I wanted to come here again soon, but this time as a guest.”
“…That is something you’d think if dat happened.”
At Midori’s reply, Sena said “Yup,” and smiled.
That was his answer. She hadn’t intended this to be a date. Yes, I misunderstood! It was my misunderstandin’!
Midori, rather than asking, “Why’d ya invite me to da amusement park?” had meant, “Why’d ya invite me out today?” However, from Sena’s point of view, she had innocently invited him out so that was probably why she had thought it was the former.
Well, dat’s true. Dere’s no doubt dat it’s more fun with two people rather den goin’ by yourself. He didn’t ask, b there was the possibility that she had invited Akari and the others. However, Midori might’ve been the only one who didn’t have plans or scheduling conflicts. I was da only one dat was overly conscious of it, huh… That was a shock in itself, but, at the same time, he knew that it was also inevitable. In the first place, this was a one-sided love that had just begun. They were finally able to talk to each other now and all he had to do was let the distance between them shorten with time.
Switching gears, Midori maintained a proper distance as he walked with Sena. He couldn’t calm down at first, but as time passed he was steadily having fun. They started with the coffee cups and rode other rides and attractions one after another.
“What shall we ride next?” He was still speaking in formal language even though it was getting closer to the afternoon.
Sena’s gaze fell to the map in her hands as she giggled. Sena had labeled the rides that they went on with a star in pen so that it was obvious at a glance even if they couldn’t remember.
Out of da ones dat are left, da one temptin’ is…
“I got it, it’s the merry-go-round.”
“Let’s do the roller coaster!”
“Huh?”
They spoke at the same time but the rides they said were completely different. They instinctively looked at each other and one of them burst into laughter without thinking. It was irregular but fun. He was happy when he thought that.
W-Wait, oooooh!? Dis is bad, dis is bad, dis…
Grumble. Gruuuumbleeeee.
He had had a bad feeling and immediately put strength into his abdominal muscles, but his stomach mercilessly rumbled. “J-Just now, ignore that!”
What do ya mean ignore dat?
He made a comeback to himself and flailed his hands with a whish.
Sena’s eyes widened, bewildered, for a brief moment before her face wrinkled with laughter. It was immensely embarrassing, but he decided to consider it a good thing since he got Sena’s laughter out of it. He couldn’t help but think of it that way.
“Hamanaka, would you like to eat lunch first?”
“…That sounds great.”
When he agreed to Sena’s suggestion, he felt something pull at the sleeve of his T-shirt. He thought it was his imagination, but it shyly continued with two or three more tugs. Midori turned, wondering what it was, and he literally stopped breathing.
“U-Um… I made a lunch box before coming; would you like to eat it?” Sena was pinching the sleeve of his T-shirt with her fingers. He couldn’t read her expression since she was looking down. However, rather than thinking that he was disappointed because he couldn’t see Sena’s expression, the feeling of being saved was stronger.
With their current situation, his heart seemed like it was already ready to explode.
If ya keep doin’ dis, den others will definitely get da wrong idea.
“G-Gladly…” He managed to say with a trembling voice.
Sena immediately lifted her head and her eyes sparkled as if they were reflecting the sun’s rays. Midori’s heart leapt a beat once more.
Be calm, be calm! If I remember, in dese kinds of situations, if I count prime numbas I’ll calm down, right? Or was dat fake… Aah, it was on da tip of my tongue. Midori followed Sena as he mumbled to himself.
It looked like they were heading for a bright, grassy plaza-like area. Sena inspected the area before taking out the lunch boxes and she even prepared a picnic sheet like the guests around them. Not only that, but she had a damp washcloth for wiping their hands and a thermos filled with cold barley tea.
I’m no good; I’m too dependent on Narumi… All Midori did was find them a shady area under a tree and spread out their sheet.
However, Narumi didn’t seem like she minded it at all and, rather, she said apologetically, “It wasn’t an inconvenience that I decided by myself to make and bring lunch?”
Just how good of a person is Narumi?!
“I made sure to do a taste test, so I think it should taste okay but…” Sena shyly said as she opened the lid to the two-leveled lunch box. The top level was fully packed with side dishes while the bottom was lined with rice balls in a variety of colors.
“Oh, it’s fried chicken! Hamburger! Even shrimp tempura?” They were all Midori’s favorite foods. He was so happy that he ended up speaking with a loud voice.
“I’m glad that these are to your liking.”
“To my likin’? It’s just all my favorites! Are you psychic, Narumi?”
Sena giggled at the words he said half-jokingly, “Rather than being psychic, it’s more like being a detective.”
“Detective?”
What did she mean by that?
Midori cocked his head to the side while Sena realized what she said and pressed a hand over her mouth. It was if it meant that she had said too much.
“Tell me, ya makin’ me curious.”
“Um, well… I tried to remember when you ate lunch in the classroom or when we had cooking practice during home economics. I guessed which foods you looked like you were really happy eating.”
“Huh? By dat, you mean…” That meant that Sena was watching him. By watching him, she only made his favorite foods and brought them today. “…Ah.” He couldn’t control his face as he became red and he covered his mouth with his hand. The summer sun wasn’t the only reason why it was this hot. He was so happy that he felt giddy. “Thank you, I’ll eat!” Midori said and clapped his hands together, putting all his gratitude into his words.
The one he reached for first with his chopsticks was his most favorite food: fried chicken.
“…How is it?”
“It’s supa good! That’s all I can think of, but it’s good!”
“Ahaha! There’s a lot, so feel free to eat as much as you want.”
Midori was already reaching for his second piece of fried chicken. He was nodding his head the entire time as his cheeks filled with food looking like a squirrel or hamster. He urged Sena to eat with his eyes until she finally picked up her chopsticks.
“Hamanaka, are you going anywhere else?”
“During summer break? Hmm, well… I actually wanted ta do band practice but dat ain’t workin’ out…”
“By band, do you mean the pop music club?”
“Yup. We talked ‘bout doin’ another concert for da cultural fes’ dis year, but we’re seniors, right? Da other members are doin’ stuff like job huntin’ and exam studyin’ so makin’ time ta practice is gonna be hard.” His mood became heavy as he spoke. Their concert went down to 3 songs from 5 and among them one was going to be an original song. The members’ reaction to Midori’s suggestion was bad. They had discussed it numerous times before the summer break, but Suzuki and Kuma wouldn’t agree to it. When Hiromichi, who was prone to taking breaks from the club for his part-time job, joined their meetings, the result hadn’t changed. They hadn’t even decided their practice schedule for this year yet.
“It’s not like I don’t know their opinions,” Midori half strained his laughter and half murmured, “Dat it’s not like we’re even aimin’ ta be pros and dat it ain’t da time to be usin’ our precious senior summer break for somethin’ like band practice. Dat no one’s gonna pass their exams like dat.”
“…What about you?”
“Huh?”
“What do you, yourself, think about it?” Sena’s honest eyes pierced his.
Midori was surprised, but he responded to her gaze head-on, “I just… only want ta go all out doin’ da things I love and da things I can only do now.” Midori felt the fire in his heart subside once he put it into words.
Aah, so dat’s how it was… dat’s what I thought…
Sena somehow looked happy as she smiled, “Y’know, it’s been decided that I’m going to be in a movie.”
Midori nodded at her abrupt words, “I saw da news on da TV yesterday. Da role of da heroine’s best friend, right?”
“Yeah. Although it’s disappointing that I wasn’t chosen for the role of the heroine, the director that had watched the audition recommended this role for me. He said that I had a nice smile.” It didn’t mean that she wasn’t frustrated that she failed her audition. However, Sena’s expression cleared up like today’s cloudless sky, “There’ll be people watching us if we try our best.”
Midori didn’t know what Sena meant by those words. But, there was no doubt that these were words that he needed in his current state. …It’s just like Narumi says. Wantin’ to go all out and do da things I can only do now are just words. Before I get sulky, I gotta try my best or dere’s no point.
The faces of the pop music club members appeared in his mind. He had been disheartened because of the guys’ difference in enthusiasm about the cultural festival concert, but all Midori did was clash his opinions with the other three during that time.
Doin’ dat wasn’t good, huh.
If he wanted the other guys to have the same “enthusiasm” that he did, first he had to do his best to enjoy himself. Wouldn’t their hearts be moved if he first showed them that?
“I’m gonna write a super cool song by the cultural fes’ so you definitely have to come watch da concert.” The corners of Midori’s mouth lifted rather than saying words of gratitude.
Sena also responded with a smile, “I’ll look forward to it.”
“Yeah!” Midori felt his mind begin to rotate at an immense speed as he nodded.
Let’s write a song. A song that will make them want to instinctively perform. A song that can make Sena and their audience smile.
★ ★ ★ ☆ ★ ★ ★
The gazes around them were piercing by the time their lunch boxes were completely empty. Midori slow and quietly checked their surroundings. All their eyes simultaneously looked away.
What if this was…? A bad premonition ran through him.
“Hey, hey, the girl over there, do you think she’s the real thing?”
“Oh, the girl wearing a cap? It’s true, from the side she looks a little like her.”
He heard two girls whispering to each other. The person they were looking at was Sena.
It is! Doesn’t dat mean they’ve noticed dat Narumi’s here?
When he looked at Sena to ask what they should do, there was a very calm look on her face.  She brought her index finger to her mouth while meeting Midori’s gaze and whispered, “Shh.”
S-So cuuuuute! What da heck was dat just nooooooow!? He somehow managed to suppress his impulse to scream and nodded.
Sena smoothed down her chest with relief and briskly began to clean up their lunch boxes. Midori also hurried lifted himself up and helped her. The eyes on them increased even though they had begun to clean up. He only needed to not pay attention to them, but no matter what he was anxious.
Is it always like dis for Narumi…
Sena probably wouldn’t say that she hated attracting attention since she worked as a magazine model. However, he wondered what she really thought about continuing to be observed even in places where there were no cameras like now.
“Alright, we’re done!” Sena stood up from her squatting position on the grass after gathering up their belongings and lightly dusted off her knees.
Midori also calmed himself and hurriedly extended a hand, “I’ll hold dat.”
“W-Wha! No, I’d feel bad.”
“You were holdin’ it dis entire time so I could at least…”
Don’t worry ‘bout it. The words he was about to say were interrupted by the strong wind.
“Ah.” Their voices overlapped. The cap that Sena had been wearing over her eyes had been tossed into the wind.
“Wait, wait!” Midori chased after it as fast as he could. The cap was carried away by the wind and then began rolling over the grass lawn. “I got… it!” Midori picked up the cap and turned back towards Sena, “I got it!”
“Wow! That girl’s hair is the same color as a princess!” A merry voice near them rang and drowned out Midori’s voice. The source was a small girl who was pointing at Sena while hopping up and down.
“See, doesn’t she look like her?”
“Is that the girl that’s in the Haniwa store pudding commercials?”
Sena completely became the center of attention now that she no longer had something to hide her. A commotion suddenly erupted starting from the two girls who had been whispering about her just earlier, to the family that were in the middle of their lunch, and even to the people that were passing by the plaza.
Dis ain’t good! We gotta do somethin’ before she’s completely revealed…!
Midori ran up to Sena and, without saying anything, placed the cap on her head. Then, he grabbed her hand and began to run away. He was only looking in front of him as he desperately ran. He was too scared to look over his shoulder and check if there was no longer anyone following them. They needed to go farther and farther. To a place where Sena’s identity wouldn’t be discovered. That was all he was thinking about.
Midori finally calmed down once they could see the roller coasters, “W-We’ve come all da way here, we should be oka…”
No, it’s not okay! Midori turned back to Sena as he was catching his breath and he nearly yelled. They were holding hands. He and Sena.
“M-My bad! I thought dat we should hurry and run so just on impulse I…” Midori said, flustered, as he released his grip.
Sena, on the other hand, had run with all she had so she was still breathing heavily.
I’m an idiot…
He should’ve realized it if he had only thought about it a little. That if Midori did what he wanted and continued to run at his own pace then it would be hard on Sena physically. He had been in such a hurry because of their nerve-wracking situation and he hadn’t thought it through. But, no matter what the circumstances were, it was unnecessary for them to run all the way here.
“Sorry. Do you wanna sit and rest somewhere?”
“…No, I’m fine.” Sena lightly shook her head while wiping her sweat. Then, before Midori could say anything, she raised her head and looked straight at him, “I’m going to go home for today, okay?”
“What?”
What do ya mean?
Even though that’s what he wanted to say, he was so shocked that sound wouldn’t come out. Midori stood upright without being able to say anything.
Sena whispered, “Sorry for saying this so suddenly,” while wondering what he thought. “If I continue to stay here, I’ll probably only inconvenience you.”
“I haven’t thought once dat you were somethin’ like an inconvenience.”
“…Thank you.” Sena said nothing more after that.
Midori couldn’t even find words to convince her otherwise and, in the end, they could only continue to walk to the park exit. He couldn’t remember too well how he got home after that. When he came to, he was dazedly lying down on his bed in his room.
“What da heck do you mean by ‘I’m sorry’?”
It wasn’t even like Sena did anything bad so why did she feel the need to apologize?
If I was a celebrity, too, den maybe dis kinda thing wouldn’t have happened… A stupid thought suddenly entered his mind. Then they might’ve been able to laugh about it together even when a small commotion like this afternoon, where either of their identities would be exposed by the other guests, because they were in the same boat. However, in reality only Sena was the celebrity and Midori was just a high schooler.
An “ill-matched,” “secret” love. That was the kind of label his one-sided love for Sena had. He thought that he had known, but today he was once again thrust before reality.
But I can’t do anything ‘bout it. I love her ‘cause I love her.
If it was something that he could throw away or give up on, then he would have done that a long time ago. But, no matter how difficult and painful it became, this love would not disappear from Midori’s heart. Midori couldn’t lie to himself about his love for Sena after all this time.
“I’m gonna write a super cool song by the cultural fes’ so you definitely have to come watch da concert.” When he closed his eyes, he recalled the moment when he made that promise with Sena.
That’s right, he had a way to do it.
Midori sat up with a creak and rushed up to his guitar case. “…I’ve decided on da new song for da culture fes’.”
Even if this was an “ill-matched” and “secret” love, he at least wanted to express his feelings. That’s why he’ll put all his feelings into this song.

His battle arrived on August 1st.
The other three members appeared on time at the audiovisual classroom around the time Midori finished setting up his guitar. There was an indescribable look on all the members’ faces. He wasn’t surprised. Midori had, after all, called them here today without telling them the reason why.
“Yo, I’ve been waitin’ for you guys.” Midori said, waving at the three of them as they stood still in front of the door.
The first to move was Suzuki, a guitarist like Midori, “…Since you’re holding your guitar, are you gonna make us listen to a song or something?” Suzuki said with a wry smile. Kuma, their drummer, and Hiromichi, their bass guitarist, followed Suzuki as he walked to where Midori stood by the window.
“Yeah, I made one, spankin’ brand new!”
“Huh? You don’t mean…”
Midori broadly smiled at their bewildered faces. It would be better to perform the song rather than telling them through words now. He silently closed his eyes as if he were standing in front of the mic. He exhaled, exhaling all his various nerves and worries, and then took a deep breath. He then fixed his grip on his guitar pick.
Reach them…!
He began to play the intro. The expression on all three of them changed as they became intrigued. They likely realized that this wasn’t like usual when Midori would play a song by ad-lib for rhythm’s sake. This song was written by Midori for their concert. He tackled the song the night of the day he went out with Sena and hardly spared time for sleep.
It was my first time ever composin’ a song and writin’ lyrics so I had a lot of trouble wit it.
He wasn’t imitating anyone but, instead, had brought out the sound from within himself. The sound in Midori was still so small that it almost seemed like it would slip from him time and time again. Even so, he hadn’t given up and, with the thought that he wanted her to hear it, he jam-packed his own so-called rock and completed the song for today.
The finished song was one speedily overflowing with love. The “boy” in the song was singing that, even though he knew that he was ill-matched with “her,” he didn’t feel like giving up. That’s why, he would take a one step closer at a time. To “her” ideal person.
The audiovisual classroom fell into deep silence when he played the last line of his song. All three of them stood in dumb surprise.
Was it bad? Tho I thought they were respondin’ pretty well to it…
It was Suzuki who finally opened his mouth when Midori placed his guitar on the nearest desk, “You made this song by yourself, Midori…”
“Well, yeah. I thought dat we should at least have a base for it.”
“…Sorry.” Suzuki said.
Kuma and Hiromichi also murmured, one after the other, “It’s our bad.” and “Sorry, man.”
What da, even I…
“Stop dis gloominess, stop, stop!” Midori vigorously shook his head to hide his teary eyes. His tears didn’t fall, but they should have disappeared. “You guys wanna play dis song, too, right?” He asked them full of confidence.
All three of them nodded simultaneously. “That’s true. I think we need to talk about the arrangement together.”
“Shouldn’t the final chorus have more oomph, too?”
“I thought that, too. Maybe right before the chorus, it’s better to bring down the tempo and then come back again all at once.”
Midori audibly sniffled his nose. He was pushed to tears again seeing each of them voicing their opinions. He was embarrassed that he was so easily moved to tears, but, on the other hand, he knew that he couldn’t help himself this time, too. The “enthusiasm” that Midori wanted from them was there.
“Then, the biggest issue are the lyrics, huh… Why is it only “I love you” in the last half of the song?”
“Dere’s other lyrics besides I love you, stupid!” Midori interjected.
Suzuki only hummed, “Hmm…”
“Wasn’t it I like you, I luv ya, and I love you?”
“Yup, rejected.” Kuma and Hiromichi cut him off without delay.
Midori made a weird sound, saying, “Nnnghhh.”
The other three burst into laughter. Their atmosphere completely returned to what it was before.
But as a whole, dat doesn’t mean dat it’s the same as before.
They had surely taken a new step forward. Both he and the others.
“Until your graduation, please have fun with your youth.” The words that Akechi said on the day of the opening ceremony suddenly crossed his mind. He hadn’t understood what he meant at all when he was told something like “youth” so suddenly at the time. But, now.
Maybe youth feels kinda like dis.
If it was now, he felt like he could run anywhere with his guitar in hand. Together with his band members.

Sena’s third high school summer break ended along with her filming for the movie. Summer this year went by even faster than usual.
It doesn’t even feel like September yet since it’s still so hot. She was probably feeling this even more so because the lingering summer heat was even more harsher than it usually was on average.
Even just walking in the hallway in front of the faculty room made the back of her neck sweat a little. Be that as it may, it didn’t mean that the feeling of summer break would drag on forever. On top of just starting the second semester, her days of working day in and out also ended.
I’ve turned in all my reports so next up are the midterm exams…!
She had been given more homework than the others during summer break. Even with all the homework, for Sena, whose attendance was barely safe, her exam results would be her lifeline. This time, too, she had asked Akari and the others for help and they had been teaching her her weak subjects.
…I wonder how Hamanaka’s doing.
They talked countless times through their messaging app during summer break. She discovered they liked the same band and they had talked about which songs they liked. She sent pictures of a kitten and mom she saw during filming and the yummy dessert that she ate. It was really fun sharing everyday things with him.
However, on the other hand, somewhere along the way of exchanging messages, her loneliness of not being able to see Midori only increased. The last time she saw his face and heard his voice was on the day they went to the amusement park. Even at the amusement park, she was almost discovered by fans halfway through and she left as if she were running away. She was relieved that she hadn’t been discovered, but she was only lucky.
She knew this was a “secret love.”
That was why she had intended on making this outing one of her final high school memories and had decided to invite him out only once. But, even now, all she thought about was Midori. His dazzling smile and cheerful laughter wouldn’t leave her mind. She was thinking about him during her breaks or when they would move to the next filming location. She was thinking about him as she returned home and took a bath or when she closed her eyes as she laid in bed. She thought about wanting to see Midori’s smile every day. So, just like that, her feelings rapidly grew day by day. She was happy when they had walked together side by side at the amusement park, but she truthfully wanted to be with him more. She wanted to try going to other places with just the two of them. These thoughts endlessly filled her mind.
…If I’m not going to put it into words, then I can at least imagine it, right?
“Huh, Sena?” Someone suddenly called her by name when she was in front of the stairs. This voice belonged to Miou.
She immediately turned in her direction and, sure enough, their eyes met as Miou grinned. “Miou! Are you on club break right now?”
“Yup. I was thinking of going to the vending machine in front of the gym to buy iced tea.”
“I know what you mean. It’s still so hot.” Sena agreed.
Miou quietly smiled while saying, “That’s right.”
It was an everyday conversation with no meaning. But something bothered her in the back of her mind.
Somehow Miou seems a little unlively? There was a possibility that summer fatigue was taking a toll on her, but it seemed like the reason was something else. That was what her intuition was telling her.
“…Miou.”
“Oh, there you are! Heeey, Narumi!” The sound of footsteps coming closer from behind drowned out Sena’s voice. When she looked back, she saw Haruki running up to them with what looked like a sketch pad in hand.
“Haruki…” Miou murmured. Were her eyes trembling because she was surprised at Haruki’s sudden appearance?
“Good, you’re still here… Um.” Haruki’s eyes, too, went wide as soon as he saw Miou past Sena’s shoulder. Both stood there and stayed silent even though they were definitely looking at each other.
“…W-Woah! How unexpected, are you taking a break, too, Serizawa?” Sena spoke with as bright as a voice as she could to break the awkward mood. However, Haruki didn’t reply and silence fell once again.
Was it too unnatural?
“Rather than being on break, I was looking for you.” The one that broke the suffocating silence was Haruki. Just as that crossed her mind, he quickly walked away as soon as he said what he needed.
No matter how you look at it, it means he has something to say to me? Walking off without saying the most important part probably meant something like “follow me.”
Sena, after wavering for a moment, said to Haruki as he began to climb the stairs, “Where are you going, Serizawa?”
“We’re not staying here. Let’s go to the clubroom.”
“Huh? O-Okay…” She agreed without thinking.
Sena wanted to keep Haruki here for just a little longer but she couldn’t do anything if it turned out like this. She checked on Miou as she turned her head, pretending that she was looking at the back of her hair, as she followed Haruki.
“…” Miou’s lips were tightly pressed together with her gaze at her feet. Something definitely happened between them since Haruki wasn’t saying anything, either.
I wonder what happened. Did they argue…?
“You’re filming a movie now, right? I saw it on the news.” Haruki slowly turned and said after a period of silence as they climbed up the stairs.
“Oh, yeah. But I’ve already finished filming my part.”
“Oh, really… What was the film set like?”
Sena blinked when more questions were thrown at her. It seemed like if Haruki wasn’t in front of Miou then he was his usual self.
Serizawa films movies, too, so he must be curious.
Haruki’s eyes were brightly shining as he took great interest in her words when she began talking about her experience on set. They arrived in no time at the Film Research Club room while talking.
“So then, on my last filming day, the director told me, “Let’s work together again.””
“Ain’t that amazing! But, Narumi, do you want to continue acting?”
“…Yeah. It was hard memorizing the script and, at first when we started, I wasn’t speaking as well as I thought I would and almost wanted to cry, but it was really fun.”
During filming, she almost complained every single day. Sena was the only one with a lack of acting experience on set so her mistakes after rehearsals continued. She had to do retakes countless times and inconvenienced her costars. Those days continued and, with the thought that she might make another mistake, she became afraid of going on set. What helped her to continue filming and not run away was her promise with Midori.
“I’m gonna write a super cool song by the cultural fes’ so you definitely have to come watch da concert.”
She wanted to be someone that wasn’t shameful to Midori who had given her his smile. She wanted to see him after doing the best that she could without giving up halfway.
“If it was fun, then what do you think about being in the pop music club’s music video?”
“…Huh?”
“I was actually looking for you to ask you about that. Midori wants to film a music video for the song that he wrote and asked me about it. Said that since it’s our last high school cultural festival that he wants to go out with a bang.” Haruki laughed, “That’s so like him.”
Sena could see faint dark circles under his eyes. Even though they’re busy with the Film Research Club’s new film, he agreed to do it…
“Oh, even though I say you’d be in it, we’re gonna make it so that no one can see your face! Since your agency will make a fuss about it if not, right? Will it be possible if we film you from far away from behind and if your side profile only shows for a moment?”
Sena swallowed her breath with a gulp at those words. No matter how much care Haruki took in filming or how much he edited it, it would be something that would be seen by many people. If, by some chance, it was revealed that she was in it, she would end up troubling Midori and the others.
“…Sorry, it might be difficult.”
“Hmm? It’s not like you don’t want to be in it, right?”
“T-That is… Well…”
“This will be the last cultural festival you’ll be able to do something like making a big impression with a bang, y’know? It’s fine if you’re saying you definitely won’t regret it if you don’t appear in the MV, but if it’s not like that, then I want you to try thinking about it a bit more.” He then murmured, “It’s okay if you don’t give me an answer now.” Haruki opened the sketch pad in his hand. The first page he opened had “for the Pop Music Club MV” scribbled next to a storyboard drawn by Haruki. It looked like it was a draft for the music video. Haruki then turned the page again and again, continuing to do so until the feeling of the art changed in the middle.
It kinda looks like how Miou draws. Oh, the words written as memos too… It was then that she suddenly realized it.
Wasn’t this the sketch pad that Haruki and Miou used before to brainstorm ideas together?
“Doing something like wondering whether your choice is right or not might not be something you think about in your head.” Haruki clapped the sketch pad shut and wryly smiled. It was as if he was trying to persuade himself with those words.
However, Sena couldn’t help asking her own question, “Why do you think so?”
“Hmm. Well, theoretically speaking, it’s not like you prepared a reason why you won’t do it, right? Though, that’s not something that I should be saying but…”
Haruki’s words stabbed her heart. Maybe without noticing, I’ve been taking precautions all this time.
Let’s make sure not to trouble him since her feelings towards Midori was a “secret love.” But, on the other hand, she may have only been afraid. What would she do if she became closer to Midori without restraining herself but, because it was a “secret love,” she was rejected by him? Having distance between them was better than being hated. Wasn’t she thinking like that all this time?
My manager even said that “I won’t tell you not to fall in love.” That, even if she got a boyfriend, for now she should take precautions in order to not be discovered by the people around them. If not, then she may trouble her partner. Her manager had said all of this to Sena only as a warning.
“A secret love” wasn’t something she needed to lie about her own feelings for. No one but Sena herself had ran away because it was a “secret love.”
Sena quickly lifted her head and stared straight at Haruki. Then, with all her determination in her words, she resolutely said, “Serizawa, I want to be in the music video.”
