I really should have placed a bet on this.
I corrected the party location two days ago and my sisters claimed to never have heard about my plans after it changed from "im not gonna do anything".
So none of them came, not even my mom.
But my crush hugged me to wish me a happy birthday, he's a good hugger and it made me feel a lot better.
One of my sisters came...but like I suspected they didn't bother to use their energy on a collective birthday present like we usually do for big birthdays. Kind of a bummer because I put so much thought and money into their big birthdays.
Maybe my 30s should be about finally putting my family where they put me...far down on the list of important things.
I'm beyond tired of always being there for them but having to beg for them to be there for me.
My family has unintentionally been given the biggest test.
My cousin confused my sister and my birthday and thought it was August 5th, when really it's August 25th. It's not like she's been on this earth for 40 years and it's been my sisters birthday for 43 years...but what an unimportant little detail.
Even before my grandma passed away, I said for my 30th birthday, I just have whoever wants want to come in the evening on the 24th for some food, some music and drinks to toast my birthday at midnight, then I'd go out to dinner with my parents and grandma at noon, and that would be my entire birthday. No interest in anything bigger.
When grandma died, I said my plans didn't change, I'd only go to dinner with my parents. But I had already "invited" a few others for that evening before. A colleague, a friend, a cousin who isn't here a lot.
So yesterday we got an official invite to my cousin's housewarming party. On August 24th, starting 5pm.
I'm like 95% sure everyone will chose that party over my get together but I'm really curious to see how this turns out.
#just to be clear this isnt a money thing where I want more expensive things or whatever#in my family it's just tradition to do big birthdays a little bit bigger than any ordinary one#we usually put money together and buy the birthday kid something bigger. something they've wanted for a long time but couldnt afford alone#or for my parents we'd plan them a party and pay for everything#3 years ago my sister got gifted a surf class on the north sea with a one week stay at a hotel#where we paid a large sum of it and even arranged the dates according to her work schedule#i wasnt even expecting them to do anything at all but not even showing up did disappoint me#my cousin put so much thought into his gift...he gifted me everything my grandma would always give me of her groceries#like random things shed always have there for each of us...#my colleague collected pictures of us together through the festival planning and made a collage of it#and my friend gave me a hoodie with a Gilmore girls quote I'd say to her for the last 12 years at least

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad(pbuh): The Battle of Tabuk and Afterwards
The Expedition of Tabuk: Part 1
(The month of Rajab, 9th year of the Migration / AD 630)
The 9th year of the Migration is the year when Islam spread in the Arabian Peninsula with all of its grandeur. On the one hand, people came to Madinah in large groups to become Muslims and to pay allegiance to the Messenger of God; on the other hand, he sent officials and governors to arrange the religious and administrative affairs of the tribes that became Muslims. To sum up, Islam experienced its most magnificent and splendid period in the 9th year of the Migration.
However, there were some states that could not put up with the magnificence of this bright sun. One of them was the Byzantine Empire, which was one of the strongest states of that time. Heraclius was the Byzantine Emperor then. He was preparing a big army as a result of the provocations of the Christian Arabs living around in order to eliminate the religion of Islam and its followers. The tribes of Juzam, Lahm, Amila, Ghassan and others decided to join the army of Heraclius. They planned to attack Madinah like a flood and to destroy Muslims.
The Messenger of God was informed about the situation and started to make prepartions.
When the Prophet set off for an expedition, he did not use to tell people about his purpose; he used to act and talk as if he was going somewhere else.
This time, he did not do so. He told people about the distance of the place, he told the mujahids clearly that it was a period of famine and scarcity and that the number of the enemy was very big.
When the preparations for the war started in Madinah, the Prophet sent some Companions to the Muslim tribes around and asked them to send mujahids for the war.
The Help of the Rich
There was drought and famine everywhere. Most of the mujahids that would take part in the war had no money to buy weapons and to spend on war preparations.
The Messenger of God asked the rich Muslims to help for war preparations and equipment.
The rich Muslims answered this call immediately.
Hazrat Umar’s Help
Hazrat Umar was one of the first people to answer the call of the Messenger of God. He said to himself, “I will surpass Abu Bakr today.” He brought half of his property to the Prophet.
The Messenger of God asked, “O Umar! What did you leave to your family?”
He said, “As much as I brought to you.”
Hazrat Abu Bakr’s Help
Hazrat Abu Bakr brought all of his property, which amounted to four thousand dirhams of silver to the Prophet.
Hazrat Umar wanted to find out what he brought.
The Prophet said, “O Abu Bakr! What did you leave to your family?”
He said, “I left God and His Messenger to them.”
Upon this sacrifice, Hazrat Umaru’l-Faruq started to cry and said, “May my mother and father be sacrificed for you, O Abu Bakr! You always surpass me in all of the races of goodness. I have now realized that I will never be able to surpass you.”
Hazrat Uthman’s Help
Hazrat Uthman, who was called Dhun-Nurayn (the Possessor of two Lights), had prepared a trade caravan to send to Damascus. When he heard the call of the Prophet, he gave up sending the caravan to Damascus and gave the three hundred camels with the goods on them to the Messenger of God. He also gave fifty horses and one thousand coins of gold.
Upon this sacrifice of Hazrat Uthman b. Affan, the Messenger of God said, “O God! I am pleased with Uthman; You be pleased with him, too.”
Abdurrahman b. Awf’s help
Abdurrahman b. Awf joined the help campaign of the Messenger of God with four thousand dirhams.
He said, “O Messenger of God! I am giving you four thousand dirhams; I have left four thousand for my family.”
The Messenger of God said, “May what you brought here and left for your family be abundant.”
Due to the effect of the prayer of the Messenger of God, when Abdurrahman b. Awf died, each one of his four wives received eighteen thousand mithqals of gold as inheritance.
Many Muslims did their best to join the help campaign. Some of them brought dates; some brought their camels for the service of the army. None of them avoided help; nobody paid attention to the size and amount of what they brought. Some brought a lot of things; others brought few things. .
The Person who Brought One Sa’ of Dates
Abu Aqil came to the presence of the Messenger of God with one sa’ of dates in his hand.
He said, “O Messenger of God! I carried water all night in return for two sa’s of dates. I left one sa’ for my family and brought one sa’ to you in order to attain my Lord’s consent.”
The Messenger of God was affected by this incident and said, “May God make what you brought here and left for your family abundant.” He ordered the dates to be put into the dates of sadaqah.
Ulba b. Zayd, who was a very poor Muslim, wanted to join the help campaign but he had almost nothing to give. He prayed God: “O God! You ordered us to make jihad. However, you did not give me an animal to make jihad on.” Then, he brought some things that he used at home to the Messenger of God.
He said, “O Messenger of God! I have nothing that I can give as sadaqah. I am giving the things that I am using. If anyone distresses me, says bad things about me or says, ‘Can this thing be given as sadaqah?’, I will forgive him.”
The Prophet said, “May God accept your sadaqah.”
The following day, the Prophet asked his Companions, “Where is the person who gave sadaqah last night?”
Nobody moved.
This time, the Prophet said, “Let the person who gave sadaqah last night stand up.”
Ulba stood up.
The Messenger of God said, “I accepted your sadaqah. Good news for you! I swear by God, in whose hand is the existence of Muhammad that you were recorded in the registry of those whose sadaqahs were accepted.”
Ulba became very glad when he heard this.
Sacrifices of the Muslim Women
The sacrifices made by the Muslim women were also commendable. Without any hesitation, they gave all of their jewels around their necks, hands and ears to the Messenger of God for the war preparation of the army that would make jihad.
Umm Sinan of the tribe of Aslam says,
“I saw a cloth laid on the ground in front of the Messenger of God in the house of Aisha. There were ivory bracelets, arm-bands, rings, anklets, ear-rings, belts to tie the feet of camels and things that could be used in making preparations for the war sent by the women.”
Thanks to those contributions, many Muslims who had difficulty in taking part in the war due to famine, drought and poverty were provided with weapons and equipment; thus, they got ready for the expedition.
Bakkaun(Criers)
There were so many people who wanted to take part in the war that even the financial help of the rich Companions were not enough to equip all of them. Those who did not have anything said to the Messenger of God that they would join the expedition voluntarily but they were not accepted because it was impossible to find camels for some, weapons for others and food for others.
There were seven people whose demands were rejected; they were known as “Bakkaun,”, that is, “Cryers”:
Salim b. Umayr, Amr b. Humam, Ulba b. Zayd, Irbaz b. Sariyya, Abu Layla Abdurrahman b. Ka’b, Abdullah b. Mughaffal and Harami b. Abdullah.
Those seven people went to the presence of the Prophet during the war preparations and said, “O Messenger of God! We want to join the expedition but we have no camels to ride and no food to eat on the way.”
The Messenger of God said, “There are no animals left to give you.” They started to cry and left.
God Almighty stated the following for those self-sacrificing Companions:
“Nor (is there blame) on those who came to thee to be provided with mount, and when thou saidst "I can find no mounts for you," they turned back, their eyes streaming with tears of grief that they had no resources wherewith to provide the expenses.”
The Companions who left the Prophet by shedding tears fearing that they would not be able to take part in the war were equipped by the rich Companions when this verse was sent down. According to a narration, Hazrat Uthman b. Affan equipped three, Hazrat Abbas, the uncle of the Prophet, equipped two and Yamin b. Umayr equipped two of those Companions for the war.

Spousal Maintenance and Temporary Spousal Support in Texas divorces
If you have need a best suitable service your Child Law experience, Spousal Maintenance and Temporary Spousal Support in Texas divorces with the great process!
Spring Divorce Lawyer: Frequently referred to as “alimony” spousal maintenance is a relatively recent phenomenon. In fact, Texas was the last state in the country to create a law that allows a court to obligate a person to pay their ex-spouse a sum of money in the future. Prior to 1995 parties to a divorce case could agree on their own accord to this sort of arrangement, but if their case went to trial a judge could not make orders to this effect.
If you are in a position where you believe that you are in need of spousal maintenance after your divorce this should not leave you too optimistic, however, at your chances of actually obtaining support. Consider that on the whole spousal maintenance awards still occur in relatively few divorces where the support is actually requested by one of the parties. In addition, there are limits to the amount and duration of the support once it is actually awarded.
Limits of duration and amount that apply to spousal maintenance awards
In general terms, spousal maintenance is limited to either $2,500 per month or 20% of the obligor spouse’s monthly income whichever, is lesser. In addition, spousal support cannot be ordered by a judge for a longer period than three years. The reason for these fairly restrictive measures is that spousal maintenance is not intended to be something that an ex-spouse can or should be relying upon for assistance much beyond their divorce.
After your divorce if you find yourself in a position where your spouse was the primary bread winner and you need some time to get your feet on the ground and find a job, spousal maintenance can be of great assistance to you. Many of our clients were previously homemakers who had not worked outside the house in many years. For these folks, spousal maintenance can be absolutely essential to their post-divorce transition and to meet their minimum, basic needs.
Are you eligible to receive spousal maintenance?
Houston Divorce Lawyer: You may be eligible to receive a spousal maintenance in your divorce for a number of reasons. Perhaps the rarest (thankfully) of the reasons is if your spouse from whom you are requesting spousal maintenance by paid was convicted of or received deferred adjudication for a criminal offense that also constitutes an act of family violence. Those offenses must have occurred either within two years before the date on which your divorce was filed or occurred during the divorce proceedings themselves. This is an extreme example of how spousal maintenance may be owed to you and hopefully it is not relevant in your situation, obviously.
Let’s discuss a more likely reason why you may be eligible to receive spousal maintenance as a result of your divorce. If your marriage lasted ten years or longer and you lack the resources including property to sustain yourself and meet your minimal basic needs after the divorce you would be eligible to receive spousal maintenance. Note, however, that the property and income awarded to you in the divorce counts in this equation. As a result of the dividing of the community estate you may no longer be able to say that you cannot meet your minimum basic needs.
Additional factors are considered in this process as well. For instance, if you are unable to support yourself through working a job due to a physical or mental disability this would give you additional leverage to be able to gain a spousal maintenance award. Likewise, if you are the primary caregiver for a child with disabilities that require your constant supervision and this keeps you from working you are more likely to be awarded spousal maintenance as well. Finally, if your education and work history do not allow you to earn sufficient income to support yourself in the job market then you should certainly ask the court for this to be considered.
How will your divorce court define minimum basic needs?
Divorce Lawyer in Houston: There is no specific definition of minimum basic needs that is provided in the Texas Family Code. The intent of lawmakers who created the statute was to provide a spouse with some temporary income that can help him or her establish a residence and find work after a divorce.
To be awarded spousal maintenance you would need to provide sufficient evidence to a judge to prove that you do not have the resources of income sufficient to provide for those minimal basic needs. A judge will make this determination on a case by case basis. Your circumstances- financial and otherwise will be measured in order to determine if it is appropriate to award you spousal maintenance.
If you are a spouse who may be on the hook for paying spousal maintenance you should be aware that as a defense against its being awarded you can request that the judge make a specific determination as to what the minimum basic needs of your spouse are. After that, you can ask for additional, specific findings as to what the fair market value of the property is actually worth that was awarded to your spouse in the divorce. Remember that the community property awarded to your spouse as well as their separate property count towards assets that can assist your spouse in meeting their minimum basic needs after the divorce.
Is there a way for you to be awarded spousal maintenance even after being awarded substantial amounts of property in your divorce?
Divorce Attorney Houston: From my experience, it is possible that you could win an award of spousal maintenance from a judge even if your awards of property (both community and separate) are quite substantial. The bottom line is that even if the property awarded to you is substantial, it would need to be sufficient to provide for your minimum basic needs.
To make this sort of determination a court would need to get into a fairly in-depth analysis of your living situation and what your costs of living are likely to be after the divorce. On top of that, your likely income and resources available to you would be considered also. If you are awarded property that is not easily liquidated that is another factor that could lead to a spousal maintenance award despite a large property award being made also. Consider also that your education, physical abilities and inability to work on a full time basis would also be important factors.
How do you ask for a spousal maintenance in a divorce?
Spousal maintenance should be asked for and requested in your Petition for Divorce. If you did not do so initially you ought to consider filing an amended petition that includes your request for spousal maintenance.
Recall that it is not easy to be awarded spousal maintenance in Texas. Unless you suffer from a physical or mental handicap that keeps you from working this presumption will hold true in your divorce. In spite of this presumption you can be awarded spousal maintenance but must first show a court that you diligently looked for a job during the time period that you and your spouse were separated and your divorce was pending.
For instance- have you applied for jobs during your divorce? If so, you will likely need to produce job applications to prove this to a judge. Have you enrolled yourself into any inexpensive vocational training that could help you bring some of your skills up to date if you haven’t worked in many years? Any materials like this would be very helpful in providing your diligent search for employment rather than a reliance upon spousal maintenance.

Taking out a life insurance policy is a great way to protect your family’s financial future. A policy can also be a useful financial planning tool. But life insurance is a notoriously tricky subject to tackle.
One of the hardest challenges is deciding whether term life or whole life insurance is a better fit for you.
Not sure what separates the term life from whole life in the first place? You’re not alone. Insurance industry jargon can be thick, but we’re here to clear up the picture and make sure you have all the information you need to make the best decision for you and your family.
Life Insurance = Financial Protection for Your Family
Families have all sorts of expenses: mortgage payments, utility bills, school tuition, credit card payments, and car loan payments, to name a few. If something were to happen and your household unexpectedly lost your income or your spouse’s income, your surviving family might have a difficult time meeting those costs. Funeral expenses and other final arrangements could further stress your family’s financial stability.
That’s where life insurance comes in. Essentially, a policy acts as a financial safety net for your family by providing a death benefit. Most forms of natural death are covered by life insurance, but many exceptions exist, so be sure to do your research. Death attributable to suicide, motor accidents while intoxicated and high-risk activity are often explicitly not covered by term or whole life policies.
If you die while covered by your life insurance policy, your family receives a payout, either a lump sum or in installments. This is money that’s often tax-free and can be used to meet things like funeral costs, financial obligations, and other personal expenses. You get coverage in exchange for paying a monthly premium, which is often decided by your age, health status, and the amount of coverage you purchase.
Don’t know how much to buy? A good rule of thumb is to multiply your yearly income by 10-15, and that’s the number you should target. Companies may have different minimum and maximum amounts of coverage, but you can generally find a customized policy that meets your coverage needs.
In addition to the base death benefit, you can enhance your coverage through optional riders. These are additions or modifications that can be made to your policy—whether term or whole life—often for a fee. Riders can do things like:
Add coverage for disability or deaths not commonly covered in base policies, like those due to public transportation accidents.
Waive future premiums if you cannot earn an income.
Accelerate your death benefit to pay for medical bills your family incurs while you’re still alive.
Other riders may offer access to membership perks. For a fee, you might be able to get discounts on goods and services, such as financial planning or health and wellness clubs.
One final note before we get into the differences between term and life: We’re just covering individual insurance here. Group insurance is another avenue for getting life insurance, wherein one policy covers a group of people. But that’s a complex story for a different day.
Term Life Policies Are Flexible
The “term” in “term life” refers to the period during which your life insurance policy is active. Often, term life policies are available for 10, 20, 25, or 30 years. If you die during the term covered, your family will be paid a death benefit and not be charged any future premiums, as your policy is no longer active. So, if you were to die in year 10 of a 30-year policy, your family would not be on the hook for paying for the other 20 years.
Typically, your insurance cannot be canceled as long as you pay your premium. Of course, if you don’t make payments, your coverage will lapse, which typically will end your policy. If you want to exit a policy you can cancel during an introductory period. Generally speaking, the nonpayment of premiums will not affect your credit score, as your insurance provider is not a creditor. Given that, making payments on your life policy won’t raise your credit score either.
The major downside of term life is that your coverage ceases once the term expires. Ultimately, once your term expires, you need to reassess your options for renewing, buying new coverage, or upgrading. If you were to die a month after your term expires, and you haven’t taken out a new policy, your family won’t be covered. That’s why some people opt for another term policy to cover changing needs. Others may choose to convert their term life into a permanent life policy or go without coverage because the same financial obligations—e.g., mortgage payments and college costs—no longer exist. This might be the case in your retirement.
The Pros and Cons of Term Life
Even though term life insurance lasts for a predetermined length of time, there are still advantages to taking out such a policy:
Comparably lower cost: Term life is usually the more affordable type of life insurance, making it the easiest way to get budget-friendly protection for your family. A woman who’s 34 years old can buy $1 million in coverage through a 10-year term life policy for less than $50 a month, according to U.S. News and World Report. A man who’s 42 can purchase $1 million in coverage through a 30-year term for just over $126 a month.
Good choice for mid-term financial planning: Lots of families take out a term life policy to coincide with major financial responsibilities or until their children are financially independent. For example, if you have 20 years left on your mortgage, a term policy of the same length could provide extra financial protection for your family.
Upgrade if you want to: If you take out a term life policy, you’ll likely also get the option to convert to a permanent form of life insurance once the term ends if your needs change. Just remember to weigh your options, as your rates will increase the older you get. Buying another term life policy at 50 years old may not represent the same value as a whole life policy at 30.
There are some drawbacks to term life:
Coverage is temporary: The biggest downside to term life insurance is that policies are active for only so long. That means your family won’t be covered if something unexpected happens after your insurance expires.
Rising premiums: Premiums for term life policies are often fixed, meaning they stay constant throughout the policy. However, some policies may be structured in a way that seems less costly upfront but features steadily increasing premiums as your term progresses.
Young Families Often Opt for Term Life
The rate you pay for term life insurance is largely determined by your age and health. Factors outside your control may influence the rates you see, like demand for life insurance. During a pandemic, you might be paying more if you take a policy out amid an outbreak.
Most consumers seeking term life fall into younger and healthier demographics, making term life rates among the most affordable. This is because such populations present less risk than a 70-year-old with multiple chronic conditions. In the end, your rate depends on individual factors. So if you’re looking for affordable protection for your family, term life might be the best choice for you.
Term life is also a great option if you want a policy that:
Grants you some flexibility for future planning, as you’re not locked into a lifetime policy.
Can replace your or your spouse’s income temporarily.
Will cover your children until they are financially stable on their own.
Is active for the same length as certain financial responsibilities—e.g., a car loan or remaining years on a mortgage.
Whole Life Insurance Offers Lifetime Coverage
Like with term life policies, whole life policies award a death benefit when you pass. This benefit is decided by the amount of coverage you purchase, but you can also add riders that accelerate your benefit or expand coverage for covered types of death.
The biggest difference between term life and whole life insurance is that the latter is a type of permanent life insurance. Your policy has no expiration date. That means you and your family benefit from a lifetime of protection without having to worry about an unexpected event occurring after your term has ended.
The Pros and Cons of Whole Life
As if a lifetime of coverage wasn’t enough of advantage, whole life insurance can also be a highly useful financial planning tool:
Cash value: When you make a premium payment on your whole life policy, a portion of that goes toward an account that builds cash up over time. Your family gets this amount in addition to the death benefit when their claim is approved, or you can access it while living. You pay taxes only when the money is withdrawn, allowing for tax-deferred growth of cash value. You can often access it at any time, invest it, or take a loan out against it. However, be aware that anything you take out and don’t repay will eventually be subtracted from what your family receives in the end.
Dividend payments: Many life insurance companies offer whole life policyholders the opportunity to accrue dividends through a whole life policy. This works much like how stocks make dividend payments to shareholders from corporate profits. The amount you see through a dividend payment is determined by company earnings and your provider’s target payout ratio—which is the percentage of earnings paid to policyholders. Some life insurance companies will make an annual dividend payment to whole life policyholders that adds to their cash value.
Some potential downsides to consider include:
Higher cost: Whole life is more expensive than term life, largely because of the lifetime of coverage. This means monthly premiums that might not fit every household budget.
Interest rates on cash value loans: If you need emergency extra money, a cash value loan may be more appealing than a standard bank loan, as you don’t have to go through the typical application process. You can also get lower interest rates on cash value loans than you would with private loans or credit cards. Plus, you don’t have to pay the balance back, as you’re borrowing from your stash. But if you don’t pay the loan back, it will be money lost to your family.
Whole Life Is Great for Estate Planning
Who stands to benefit most from a whole life policy?
Young adults and families who can net big savings by buying a whole life policy earlier.
Older families looking to lock in life coverage.
Those who want to use their policy as a tool for savings or estate planning.
To that last point, whole life policies are particularly advantageous in overall financial and estate planning compared to term life. Cash value is the biggest and clearest benefit, as it can allow you to build savings to access at any time and with little red tape.
Also, you can gift a whole life policy to a grandchild, niece, or nephew to help provide for them. This works by you opening the policy and paying premiums for a set number of years—like until the child turns 18. Upon that time, ownership of the policy is transferred to them and they can access the cash value that’s been built up over time.
If you’re looking for another low-touch way to leave a legacy, consider opening a high-yield savings account that doesn’t come with monthly premium payments or a normal investment account.
What to Do Before You Buy a Policy
Make sure you take the right steps to find the best policy for you. That means:
Researching different life insurance companies and their policies, cost, and riders.
Balancing your current and long-term needs to best protect your family.
Buying the right amount of coverage.
If you’re interested in taking the next steps, talk to your financial advisor about your specific financial situation and personal needs.

Najib Received RM2.6 Billion Kickbacks From 1MDB...
Najib Received RM2.6 Billion Kickbacks From 1MDB....
U.S. Securities Commission –
No Saudi Donations...
For as long as one can remember, Najib Razak has denied any involvement in the 1MDB scandal, despite caught with his hand in the cookie jar – a jaw-dropping US$681 million in his private bank accounts. Instead, he claimed that the huge sum of money was donations from Saudi royal family, a claim that could not be officially and fully substantiated. Najib, former prime minister of Malaysia and chairman of 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Berhad), had been consistent with his claim – until he was grilled by Al-Jazeera journalist Mary Ann Jolley last year. Finally, he wasn’t so sure anymore. He said he actually “assumed” the funds came from the Saudi government, claiming the dead King Abdullah had promised to give him money. But in September 2018, Najib released documents which he claimed are proof that the Saudi Arabian royalty had indeed donated to him. He proudly uploaded to his Facebook page the document of a donation totalling US$100 million. Najib also unleashed a letter supposedly written by Saudi Prince Abdul Aziz Al-Saud dated February 1, 2011. Subsequently, another letter dated March 1, 2013, was issued to Najib – gifting him with another US$800 million. Both letters, hilariously, carried different signatures, despite claiming to be from the same Saudi prince. The biggest joke was some of the contents of the letters were similar to a letter written by Eric Tan Kim Loong to Jho Low (both individuals believed to be the same person). Like a storyline in a video game, the letter said – “In view of the friendship that we have developed over the years and your new ideas as a modern Islamic leader, I hereby grant you a sum of United States Dollars One Hundred Million (USD100,000,000) Only (“Gift”) which shall be remitted to you at such times and in such manner as I deem fit.”
Najib Razak and Sheikh Arab Jho Low - 1MDB
However, Najib failed to produce all the documents to substantiate the entire US$681 million, which he claimed were donations from the Saudi royal family. What he had produced was just a fraction of the documents to justify the RM2.6 billion found in his bank accounts. Even if the documents were genuine, it cannot prove that the “money” came “directly” from the Saudi government. Besides, the contents of the letter appeared to be an afterthought ploy and probably were composed by Jho Low (full name: Low Taek Jho), the partner-in-crime of Najib Razak. The letter was begging the readers to believe that the money was donations. Exactly why was the letter addressed to Najib’s residence in Jalan Langgak Duta, and not the Prime Minister Office, is beyond comprehension. Amusingly, Najib’s hotshot lawyer – Shafee Abdullah – didn’t think it’s important to produce Saudi Prince Abdul Aziz Al-Saud as material witness in the ongoing 1MDB corruption trials against his client. Did not the letter from Saudi praise Najib’s contribution to the Islamic world, hence the donations without any strings attached? Why did the Arab royal house refuse to save a good Muslim like Najib now? That’s because Saudi had never paid a penny to Najib Razak, despite what the disputable (and probably fake) letter says about the free cash for the disgraced premier. Only the fools would believe that the late King Abdullah was damn worried about Arab Spring in Malaysia, a country which is 6,461-km away, and had sought to pay Najib regime a large sum of money to preserve stability. While Najib and his lawyers could not produce complete documents to verify the US$681 million donations, let alone Arab witnesses to support his fairy tale, the United States is able to do so. According to latest documents released by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Najib Razak has been identified as the person who had received kickbacks from bonds issued by 1MDB.
US DOJ Indicts Jho Low, Tim Leissner, Roger Ng
The documents released were in relation to SEC’s settlement with former Goldman Sachs Group Inc executive Tim Leissner. In detailing the background of the case, the SEC said that Leissner had helped to raise US$6.5 billion (RM26.9 billion) for 1MDB under the guise of supporting projects meant to benefit Malaysians. But the money raised didn’t go to the people of Malaysia. The commission said – “Leissner and others instead planned and executed a scheme to misappropriate more than US$2.7 billion and distribute the money as bribes and kickbacks to government officials in Malaysia and Abu Dhabi. Including but not limited to Najib as well as to other participants in the scheme and their families, including Leissner.” After the stunning defeat of Mr. Najib in the historical May 2018 General Election, apparently the panicked Leissner hurriedly sought negotiations with U.S. prosecutors to potentially plead guilty to criminal charges, especially to a violation of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which prohibits the use of bribes to foreign officials to get or keep business. On Nov 1, 2018, the United States revealed criminal charges against not only Tim Leissner but also another Goldman Sachs banker, Ng Choon Hwa (Roger Ng), together with Malaysian financier fugitive Jho Low. Roger Ng was arrested in Malaysia while his former colleague Tim Leissner pleaded guilty to conspiring to launder money and to violating anti-bribery laws. Tim Leissner agreed to pay US$43.7 million (£33.6 million; RM182 million). It was a good deal considering he had admitted to enriching himself – acknowledging that more than US$200 million in proceeds from 1MDB bonds flowed into accounts controlled by him and a relative in Hong Kong. This sweet deal means that Leissner had agreed to turn witness in the explosive scandal.
After he pleaded guilty to helping orchestrate the looting of billions of dollars from Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund 1MDB, Leissner, who is married to model and fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons, has also been banned for life from working in the securities industry by the U.S. regulators. Still, Leissner is scheduled to face sentencing on June 11 in a federal court in Brooklyn, New York. Months ago, the U.S. prosecutors revealed that the three bond sales for 1MDB, code-named Project Magnolia, Maximus and Catalyze, had resulted in more than US$2.7 billion of the US$6.5 billion raised diverted into accounts controlled by Jho Low, Tim Leissner and other crooks. Money stolen was used to pay bribes to government officials, including the purchase of jewellery for Najib’s wife Rosmah Mansor. Now, the U.S. Securities Commission agreed with the U.S. prosecutors, saying – “Leissner also knew at the time that Najib Razak and government officials from Abu Dhabi and 1MDB officials would receive money from the proceeds of Project Maximus that passed through various shell companies beneficially owned and controlled by himself, Low and others.” Under “Project Maximus”, the second of two bonds issued by 1MDB in 2012, which is called the Aabar BVI phase, Najib received US$30 million. But the juiciest kickbacks came from the “Project Catalyze”, which is also known as the Tanore phase in 2013 where the despicable former prime minster received a further US$681 million misappropriated from 1MDB. It was also during the “Project Catalyze” that kickbacks, including “transferring approximately US$1.3 million (RM5.38 million) to the account of a New York jeweller to pay for jewellery for the wife of Najib” happened. This is in reference to 27 different 18-carat gold necklaces and bracelets Jho Low had bought for Rosmah Mansor from the 1MDB money siphoned. Najib loves to drum the fact that US$620 million (out of the US$681 million) of the so-called donation money had been returned in August 2013. What he refuses to tell his dumb supporters is what actually happened to that money thereafter. Nope, the money didn’t go back to the Saudi royal house’s account, but stayed in the Tanore Finance Corp account in Singapore.
SA Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and Najib
In fact, a month after the US$620 million was returned to the Tanore, the money was used to purchase a 22-K pink diamond necklace worth a staggering US$27.3 million for Rosmah, after US$32.76 million was transferred from Midhurst to a DBS Singapore bank account for Blackrock, one of many accounts held nominally by fugitive Jho Low under the alias of Eric Tan. Yes, Najib’s wife Rosmah Mansor had earlier been exposed to have had purchased a 22-carat pink diamond necklace – worth a stunning US$27.3 million – using money siphoned from 1MDB. According to U.S.-DOJ investigations, Jho Low had arranged for jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz (also known as “Jewish Queen of Oscar Bling”) for the pink diamond on June 2, 2013. Now that the U.S. Securities Commission has established that the US$681 million (RM2.6 billion) discovered in Najib Razak’s bank accounts were kickbacks from 1MDB bond deals, it proves that the much hyped Saudi donations did not exist at all. From the beginning, the U.S. Department of Justice and FBI had found no evidence of donations from Saudi in their investigations.
Despite Najib’s attempt of claiming ignorance in his current corruption and money laundering trials, the U.S. SEC has pointed out that upon 1MDB’s formation, Najib assumed a position of authority in 1MDB, and had the authority to approve all appointments and removals in 1MDB’s board of directors and 1MDB’s senior management team. He knew what he was doing until he is put on trial.
To make matters worse for the crooked Najib, Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Adel Ahmed Al-Jubeir confirmed in October last year that the RM2.6 billion “donation” which former prime minister Najib Razak proudly claimed to have received had nothing to do with the kingdom’s government. Mr. Najib is really screwed. He has not a single material witness to back his story. - FT
SD Azilah vs Sumpah laknat Najib...
Atok memang pantang dicabar...
Najib biasa lah.. Dulu orang tanya pasal Jho low pun dia kata tak kenal.. Dia tak kenal sapa Jho Low.. Dia Cukup yakin duit itu dari Putera Raja Saudi, Siap publish Dokumen ada Cop Mohor saudi lagi.... akhir dalam Mahkamah, Dia kata dia ditipu Jho Low.. sebab Yakin Jho Low begitu rapat dgn saudi.. Disini pun dah nampak Najib kaki temberang.. Kalau dia yakin degan Jho Low, dia ditipu dgn Jho Low, tang mana dia tak kenal Jho Low.. Begitu juga dalam Kes Altantuya.. Dia kata tak kenal Altantuya.. tapi semua kes Melibatkan Kes Altantuya, Melibatkan urusan transaksi ,urusniaga dengan orang dan kenalan rapat dia, Melibatkan Kementerian dia..
Sumpah laknat...
Ostad kesayangan yg membimbing Jibby Al Penyamun bersumpah laknat...
Bukan salah PH, tapi salah Najib sendiri.. Siapa pergi pandai pandai cabar Atok.. Cabar Tun Mahathir.. Tun Mahathir tu orang yg pantang dicabar.. dia bukan mcm Najib, Pandai Troll jer..Mengaku darah Pahlawan..padehal Pondan.. - Ipohmali

Secebis nasihat utk Najib
oleh seorang sahabat....
Najib nak bersumpah laknat. Eloklah. Cubalah bersihkan diri.
- Tan Sri Rahim Thamby Chik
cheers.

‘I Couldn’t Tell Anyone’: Women Around the World Reveal Intimate Stories of Abortion
Voters in Ireland this spring struck down a 35-year-old constitutional ban on abortion, one of the strictest in Europe. In Poland, politicians are making a renewed push to restrict abortion. A bill to legalize abortion is narrowly advancing through Argentina’s Congress.
And in the United States, the departure of Justice Anthony Kennedy and President Trump’s selection to succeed him is expected to redraw the well-established legal battle lines over abortion rights.
Behind the roiling public debates are deeply personal experiences: an unintended pregnancy, rape, family influence, a medical crisis, feelings of loss.
Even in places where the practice is legal, abortion can still be hard to talk about. When we invited readers to share their own stories, more than 1,300 responded from over 30 countries, showing the vast range of reasons, means and outcomes for abortion.
We selected the 13 stories below from distant pockets of the globe. They reflect the spectrum of abortion laws and the important roles of money, technology, information and culture in dictating the safety and aftermath of the procedure. These accounts have been condensed and edited for clarity, and to protect the identities of those involved.
Money
Money can play a major role in access to a safe abortion, especially in countries where the procedure is illegal.
Tegucigalpa, Honduras
Under the Honduran penal code, abortion is illegal in all cases. The possible exception described in the country’s Medical Code of Ethics is when an abortion would save the life of a pregnant woman, but that can be hard to determine and the ethics code does not rise to the level of national law.
GG: I was just 16 years old. My partner at the time wasn’t the ideal person — he was studying, wasn’t financially stable — and I have always feared motherhood.
I found a doctor in my community. I told him about my situation and he decided to “help” me. It was a risky situation for him, and I didn’t have the large sum of money he asked for.
He said he would reduce the price if I had sex with him. Scared, I accepted.
After I “paid” him, he inserted an injection and pills into my uterus. It was painful, like cramps, but worse. I couldn’t tell anyone, and I was worried because through the course of the night I hadn’t even bled. I was afraid it wouldn’t work and that I’d wind up with a sick baby.
I went to the doctor first thing in the morning. He examined me and said that I was so early into the pregnancy that my body reabsorbed it [the embryo remnants].
My period returned some time after. It was heavy, and it smelled bad, but I haven’t experienced any irregularities since. To date, I don’t know the repercussions this may have had on my body.
Nobody aside from my partner knew. I had to go on with my life as if nothing happened.
Dublin, Ireland
Until this spring, abortion was illegal in Ireland except to save the woman’s life.
Caoimhe: Both of us knew that there was no way we could afford to bring a child into the world. We knew what we had to do, so we booked an appointment for a surgical abortion at a clinic in Manchester [England].
The surgery itself was horrible, but my nurse held my hand through it. As we were leaving, she told me to rest and take my antibiotics that evening. I should expect to bleed heavily over the next few days, but this was normal.
After arriving at the hotel, I tried to sleep, when a sign on the hotel dresser caught my eye: “Soilage Charge: £150.” I had been so brave until that moment, but I just couldn’t hold it in anymore.
The hotel, the last-minute flights, the transport to and from the airport, the actual surgery — my credit card was maxed out. I couldn’t afford another £150 ($200).
My boyfriend was already asleep in the bed, so I made my way into the bathroom, rolled my jacket into a pillow and slept in the bathtub, crying myself to sleep.
Feelings of Loss
For some women, abortion encompasses irreparable heartbreak, especially when coupled with other traumas like an abusive partner.
Kuje, Nigeria
Abortion is illegal in Nigeria except to save the woman’s life.
RL: My boyfriend wanted to have sex with me, but I was not in the mood. He tried penetrating me. I struggled to resist him.
A few weeks later, I got ill. I went to the hospital and was told I was pregnant.
I confronted my boyfriend, but he denied the pregnancy. I thought, I will break the hearts of everyone who looked after me. I was so scared and all alone.
My boyfriend then took me to an unskilled provider who carried out a surgical procedure on me at 12 weeks. It was quite painful and was done in a dirty environment. I was scared that I would lose my life.
Two months later I was ill again and went back to the hospital; a scan revealed that I was 20 weeks pregnant. I continued to carry the pregnancy but had a stillbirth at 37 weeks.
It took me a long time to recover after the death of my child. I still somehow feel responsible that the failed abortion exposed my baby to infection.
Lexington, Mass., United States
Abortion is legal in the United States. Individual states have restrictions on the procedure, including waiting periods and limits on timing, generally to before 20 to 24 weeks of gestation.
GR: We already had three children, all daughters, when we had an unexpected pregnancy. My husband repeated that he only wanted a son for a fourth. He suggested I take a gender test, at 11 weeks. When I told him I would not take such a test, he raised getting an abortion.
On a frigid morning in January of 2009, my now-ex husband drove me to a now-closed clinic, off Route 9 in Boston. I recall sitting behind him in the car ride down — rather than beside him — because this abortion was his idea.
We entered the waiting room, where my husband paid for the abortion. For over an hour I wept in a chair beside him. I could not complete the intake form. I could not check off the small box in the lower corner of the page asking about coercion.
I was shaking, weeping and frightened. At one point, a silver-haired security worker approached me and said, “You should not be here.”
With great reluctance, I signed the form and waited my turn.
For years following, I have heard the cries of newborns — at the grocery store, in the airport on my way to a business trip, in parks, on sidewalks — and it triggers that frigid day in January.
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Australian abortion laws vary by state. In Queensland, it is illegal except to protect a woman’s mental or physical health.
S: Following six rounds of IVF, we conceived a baby. During our first trimester testing, we discovered a chromosomal disorder. I have a sibling with the same disability, for whom I will have to care when my parents no longer can.
We decided mostly based on that factor, and out of not wanting our child to endure a lifetime of hardship and pain.
Despite it being a criminal offense in my state, my obstetrician and a colleague of his arranged the paperwork for exemption for a surgical abortion, done at 12 weeks. My care was all very streamlined, and I did not feel judged. Our total out of pocket was about $500 (300 USD).
It was a traumatic experience that’s forever changed me. I was always pro-choice, but just didn’t think it would be my choice.
Portsmouth, United Kingdom
Since 1967, abortion has been widely legal in England, Scotland and Wales for pregnancies not exceeding 24 weeks. An abortion must be provided by a doctor and also requires signoff from two other doctors.
GD: Nobody told me how bad I would feel afterward. I contemplated suicide. A Christian friend supported me through healing. It was a long process, and I still miss my baby.
The Internet
The internet has spread information about abortions as well as access to the procedure. Websites, like the Netherlands-based Women on Web, provide the pills necessary for an early medical abortion. Each woman is given an online consultation with a licensed doctor before she is mailed the medications, typically mifepristone and misoprostol pills, that induce a miscarriage.
Lusake, Zambia
Abortion is broadly legal for health and socioeconomic reasons in Zambia, but it requires the consent of three doctors and must be performed in a hospital. Violations of those rules have penalties of up to seven years in prison for the provider and 14 for the patient.
SN: I was in a committed, two-year relationship with my boyfriend and was on birth control. I accidentally missed a few days, took the pills as soon as I remembered, but found myself pregnant.
I was working full-time and studying for my master’s — I could not have a baby. In fact, I don’t like children and never wanted any.
The process of seeking an abortion through the government system was harrowing. Every step seems like a deterrent. They require several counseling sessions with providers who are very quick to make snide remarks to shame and belittle your circumstances and choice.
In the end, I decided to forgo the entire legal system in favor of purchasing misoprostol pills from a pharmacist I knew who was willing to sell them without a prescription.
I was eight weeks pregnant, and I was not sure of my eligibility, the right dosage or the proper instructions for administration. None of the pharmacists I tried consulting could help me. I finally stumbled across several websites that offered instructions.
I took the pills according to the online directions and waited. I felt severe cramping and nausea but otherwise no other symptoms.
I have encouraged all my friends to go this route should they ever find themselves with an unwanted pregnancy.
Eastern Poland
In Poland, abortion is legal when the woman’s life is at risk, or in cases of rape, incest or severe prenatal defects.
K: My contraception pills didn’t work for some reason. I’m over 40 and have two children. Our financial situation wasn’t clear. Another child wasn’t part of the plan.
I contacted Women on Web and got medicine for an abortion.
The most stressful part was waiting for delivery because Polish customs officials are checking packages like this.
During the abortion I was alone but had a lot of help from other women online. That was very important and made me feel I wasn’t alone.
Only my husband knows, I didn’t tell anyone else. Making a confession about abortion is almost a suicide here.
Feelings of Liberation
Some women remember their abortions as a defining act of self-determination.
Oklahoma City, United States
Oklahoma is one of many states that require a doctor’s physical presence for a medical abortion.
Ashley: I was in an emotionally abusive marriage, and I had two young children. I was already depressed. A third child would make me even more so, rendering me incapable of being a good mother to the two children I had.
Fortunately, I had discovered the pregnancy early enough that I was able to induce the abortion through medication from Planned Parenthood.
Then I went to my in-laws’ house, where they could help me watch my children. I spent most of the day resting in the bathtub alone and suffered heavy bleeding for some time after.
I was not sad about this abortion. On the contrary, I recognized it as a necessary process to protect my children. My now ex-husband was becoming scarier to us all.
I haven’t told many people about it because I don’t want to have to argue with family members. It’s easier to spend time around each other without their judgment.
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
There are no federal laws restricting abortion in Canada, but provincial laws vary. In Alberta, abortions are legal up to 20 weeks.
JT: I had a free, surgical abortion at a clinic in the city where I live. It was both the easiest and one of the most significant choices I’ve made.
The morning of my procedure, I wasn’t allowed food or drink. I had to bring a friend to the clinic to wait for me and take me home. Once we got through the security entrance, I was admitted and brought to the waiting room. Then, I left my friend, got into my gown and waited in a common room with other patients.
After the ultrasound, which I was not required to look at, and another waiting area, I was taken for my surgery. I gave my consent, and was put under.
When I woke up, I thought I’d slept through and missed my procedure, but it was done. At the clinic, I felt safe, and relieved. My ability to have an abortion will forever be something for which I feel gratitude.
Ripple Effects
The aftermath of an abortion can vary widely. In countries where the procedure is illegal, patients may suffer health risks and social stigma. In places with open access, women often get supplementary care such as birth control and testing for sexually transmitted diseases.
Baguio City, Philippines
Abortion is permitted to save a woman’s life, but the law does not state this explicitly. Poor women often turn to herbalists for abortion elixirs, and the Guttmacher Institute, a global authority on reproductive health research, estimates that roughly 1,000 Filipino women die each year from abortion complications.
After a woman has an abortion, even one as early as 10 weeks, she may experience leaking colostrum, an early form of lactation.
Mia: It was 1998, and I was 20 years old. I found out I was pregnant on the eve of Father’s Day. I greeted my boyfriend the next day with a happy Father’s Day card. He was happy.
The next day I went to have an ultrasound. I found out that I was two months pregnant. I was dumbstruck. I had been seeing my boyfriend since March, but we only had sex in May. The baby wasn’t his.
When he got home that evening, it was raining hard, the power was out, yet I decided to tell him. He was understandably upset. After some time, he said that the choice was mine. I decided to get an abortion.
Abortion is not legal in my country, so the abortion was in secret. The abortionist charged us 10,000 pesos (roughly $500, adjusted for inflation), a thousand for every week I was along — a steep sum for a young couple.
The night of the abortion, my boyfriend dropped me at a designated spot. A boy, about 12, met me, and we walked a few minutes until we reached a clapboard house in one of the poorer parts of the city.
The “abortionista” brought me to a dimly lit room. She had instructed me to bring a nightgown. I was told to change into it. She then brought some pills for me to take and a glass of water. This was sometime around 8 p.m. She then pointed to the bed and told me to sleep until the time came.
At about midnight I woke up to pain from contractions. I called out for the abortionist, and she immediately came. The pain escalated fast, up to the point where she instructed me to push, and so I did. It was over quickly.
She asked if I wanted to know the sex of the baby. I said, “Hindi.” (No.) She still answered that it was a boy, just in case my boyfriend would like to know.
She proceeded to clean me, then said it was time for me to go. So in the wee hours of the morning, I walked back to the roadside with the same boy. My boyfriend was waiting, and we went home.
The next day, my breasts started leaking colostrum. I didn’t know what to do. I applied warm compresses, not knowing this would enhance the milk production.
I ended up with a severe case of mastitis requiring an operation. I had to tell my surgeon what happened, but I begged him not to tell my parents. On paper, it appeared I just had an infection.
Eventually, I withdrew from law school because I had to undergo surgery for the infection. I instead took up nursing.
Until now, my loved ones do not know of the abortion. It is still taboo to talk about. Do I regret having done it? No. I wasn’t ready to be a mother, and of a child not born out of love.
Dublin, Ireland
Until this spring, abortion was illegal in Ireland except to save the woman’s life.
Amy: Our much-wanted baby was diagnosed with anencephaly, a fatal condition. We had to arrange for a surgical abortion in a different country. We paid for it ourselves: for flights, hotels, the procedure.
We brought home our baby’s remains in our hand luggage and buried them ourselves in secrecy.
Copenhagen, Denmark
Abortion is legal for any reason if the pregnancy has not exceeded 12 weeks.
Stine: I found out I was pregnant, and I did not want to have a baby, so I got an abortion.
As soon as I saw the pregnancy test was positive, I called my doctor and told her my situation. With no judgment, she gave me the number for a clinic that does abortions 14 km (9 miles) from where I live, so it was very accessible.
I called the clinic, got an appointment two days later. The gynecologist checked me for STDs, cleared me, and told me about the procedure for my medical abortion.
I had a follow-up at the clinic a few weeks later, to make sure everything was O.K.
This cost me absolutely nothing, zero. I only paid for my painkillers.
I haven’t told my parents, since I am quite young, but my friends have all been very supportive. It was never a big deal for me, though, so we don’t really talk about it anymore.

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad: The Battle of Tabuk and Afterwards
The Expedition of Tabuk (Part.1)
Hazrat Abu Bakr brought all of his property, which amounted to four thousand dirhams[5]of silver to the Prophet.
Munafiqs Become Active
Heat, famine and drought were affecting people badly. It was the time when the fruits in the orchards ripened. It was the season when people desired to sit in the shade of the trees in their orchards and groves in order to be protected from the scorching sun. And at that time, the Islamic army was getting ready for a war against the Byzantine Empire, one of the biggest states of the world. How could the people who had love of the world, goods and property instead of love of God in their hearts could take part in this war and put up with the hardships?
As a matter of fact, it was seen that the munafiqs, who were tied to the world with unbreakable connections and who preferred the life in the world to the life in the hereafter, started to stir up trouble. In order to cause mischief and dissuade the Muslims from taking part in the war, Abdullah b. Ubay, their leader, spoke as follows:
“Does Muhammad think the Byzantine Empire is a toy? I can see him and his Companions as captives now.”
Some other munafiqs said, “Is it possible to fight when it is so hot?”
Upon those statements of the munafiqs, God Almighty sent down the following verse:
“Those who were left behind (in the Tabuk expedition) rejoiced in their inaction behind the back of the Messenger of God: they hated to strive and fight with their goods and their persons, in the Cause of God: they said "Go not forth in the heat. Say "The fire of Hell is fiercer in heat." If only they could understand!...’”
Some of them used their love of women as an excuse for not taking part in the war. Thereupon the following verse was sent down:
“Among them is (many) a man who says: "Grant me exemption and draw me not into trial." Have they not fallen into trial already? And indeed hell surrounds the Unbelievers (on all sides).”
Many more munafiqs asked the Prophet to be exempt from the war through various excuses. Thereupon, the Prophet gave permission to more than eighty munafiqs.
In fact, the excuses that they told the Prophet were false. They were not people that believed in God and His Messenger truly and heartily. God Almighty informed the Prophet about their state as follows:
“Only those ask thee for exemption who believe not in God and the Last Day and whose hearts are in doubt so that they are tossed in their doubts, to and fro.”
In the next verse, God consoled Muslims so that they would not lose hope by looking at those who did not want to take part in the war as follows: “If they had come out with you, they would not have added to your (strength) but only (made for) disorder, hurrying to and fro in your midst and sowing sedition among you…”
The fact that the group of munafiqs did not take part in the war based on lame excuses did not cause the mujahids who were heartily connected to God and His Messenger to hesitate before joining the army for jihad.
