Wednesday 100: Fraser Blanket

Jamie couldn’t sleep those first nights after Claire discovered Mandy was ill. He would imagine taking her for rides through the Ridge just like he promised; praying to Saint Eligius that he might see fit to bless them with some version of that dream, even if he wouldn’t be able to be with her for it. While he couldn’t sleep, he knit. It was a wee white blanket with three strawberries crocheted in the center. He hoped it would keep Mandy warm on the journey and give her something of him and Claire to keep with her as she grew.
