Sweden Story Time! 🇸🇪 So I was at this gas station and these rough riders pull up. Now I’m a rider, but even I get intimidated sometimes at first glance by other riders. It’s a male dominated sport and some folks look real rough around the edges. One goes and pumps gas and the other pulls up to the convenience store. The one who pulls up at the convenience store forgets to put his kickstand down and drops his bike. I shove my popsicle in my mouth, run over, help him pick up his bike, ask if he’s okay and walk back to Athena to keep eating my ice cream. We start talking and they tell me they’re going to Europe’s biggest Harley Davidson meet up and ask if I want to come. Harley riders from all around Europe will be there. Umm, Yes! So we start riding to the event together and then pull over for a break. These guys may look like rough riders, but they were goofballs. It felt like I was watching a comedy skit and there was a hidden camera somewhere recording me. Like I couldn’t believe how funny these guys were. Then one of their bikes doesn’t start and they tell me it’s an electrical issue that’s happened before. I wait for them to fix it for an hour and decide the wind calls me and I must leave, especially since I don’t know how long it’ll take to fix. And that’s how Martin and Robert adopted me for a few hours. It was so wholesome, these Swedish riders escorted me on part of the on my journey. Some folks say Swedish people are cold and unfriendly, but I think otherwise.
