Of course, he wasn't really sure if the thermos could be considered useful, but there had been tech added to it at some point in time - and that was what made it interesting.

So, he took it with him to his lab day with Tony. Getting it to work could be a fun little side project for them.

For the Laicion nation (aka, me and three other people)

I had this illustration commissioned (a big thank you to @lunehowls) for my werewolf AU Laicion fic (still a WIP).

The general pitch is as follows :

AU in which Laios never got to meet his sister again, putting his life on a whole other path, a more desperate one. A military deserter with barely a coin to his name, Laios hitches a ride on a boat to one of the elven continents, where he learns about magical tattoos that binds one’s soul to a wolf’s, effectively making them artificial werewolves. Illegal magic be damned, this feels like the answer to… everything.

In the process, he learns about the existence of an illegal fighting ring in one of the elven cities, where beastmen gladiators gather. Freshly tattooed and without anywhere else to go to, Laios decides to head there, where he meets Lycion, an elf and artificial werewolf gladiator. If they first bond over a simple shared meal, by spending time together (sharing the same room in the barracks, maybe the same bed? gasp) they find that they have a lot in common, notably a shared distaste for the body they were born in, a dysphoria partially remedied by becoming a werewolf.

They bond :)

sometimes I see people in the 40k fandom with like „DNI if you like problematic ships“ in their bio and like, Sir, we only have problematic ships here. Sir, you are currently creating fics/art for problematic ships. Sir, according to your DNI you are not allowed to interact with yourself.

(Small, frivolous rant incoming, apologies)

One thing I wish the Destiny fandom did more of was dabble in the utter horror this universe holds, especially when it comes to portraying the vile atrocities committed by many of the cosmic level characters.

Destiny‘s T rating holds it back so much in my opinion (but it still manages to lay down excellent foundations for horror and more mature themes!!) and I really wish there was more fan works that explored the unimaginable tragedies that occur in lore!!

When you really dwell on the scale of many of the disasters that happen in lore, it really dawns on you just how sinister and monstrous many of the larger villains are. Antagonists like Eramis are much more grounded, certainly not saints though, but some of the antagonists we have encounter are truly odious in their behaviors, even if they are deluded into thinking what they are doing is correct (like the Osmium siblings ravaging whole star systems in pursuit of the sword).

For example, it’s no secret that I LOATHE the Witness like no other. This wicked entity has me fighting bile at the mere thought of it and I truly think the way it delivers cruelty with such a sense of compassion and righteousness to be the most stomach wrenching form of being baneful. I could not think of an entitlement more deplorable than the Witness‘ and it’s existence is a travesty that has caused irreparable harm that spans EONS.

Yet, in my experience, I never see much content that taps into the horrors experienced by those touched by the Witness and its pawns, such as the Noesis and humanity during the collapse. There are INCREDIBLE artistic and written works that tap into the psychological horrors of exos and the unethical hell Clovis was putting people through, but not as many on the more cosmic horrors from what I have seen!!

This may just be a me thing and the personal reasons why I want the Witness put under a hydraulic press speaking, but I often see plenty of depictions of the Witness being uncharacteristically soft and having deeper feelings towards its disciples, but works about its vengeful rage, simple mindedness, violation of the autonomy of others, and predatory grooming are quite barren.

I wish to see just how HEINOUS it is displayed in all its turpitude and how it leaves a festering rot on everything and everyone it touches. I love the Witness because it is so evil in it‘s actions and my heart SINGS any time I see people tap into the trauma it causes, especially for characters like Rhulk or Savathûn!!

There is so much room for exploring just how vast the Destiny universe is when you decenter perpetrators in stories and focus on the incomprehensible number of victims.

Destiny genuinely has a character running around with the title „The Final God of Pain“ haunting people and refusing to permanently die, but there is only so much a T rated game can do and I feel like Destiny enjoyers can go beyond what’s in game in such creative ways!! Just thinking of the fall of Torobatl has me going „Wow, I’m actually so sick to my stomach, I need to honor Caiatl and really capture the pain of such an event!“

The latest lore on the Qugu? My chest HURTS.

Some of the hive experimentations? The hive in general? Hell is not hot enough for what the Witness lead them into.

But you know what they say, be the change you want to see in the world! Create the content you want to enjoy and promote the content you do enjoy!! I wish to dabble into the darker areas of lore, and of course, promote Witness hatred any chance I get!! Hopefully I get more time to write about these things and really value the work the Destiny writers have put into portraying such strong feelings of loss time and time again!!

And also!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read The Garden‘s Witness by Titanmaster_117 !!! ESPECIALLY THE FIRST CHAPTER, I COULD RANT ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF PROSE ALL DAY, IT GENUINELY MADE ME CRY!! PROMOTE THE CONTENT YOU ENJOY ALL DAY, EVERYDAY!!

But this is just something I’ve been thinking for some time now. This isn’t condemning anyone in the fandom or saying there is an issue, just a desire I would love to see (and hopefully fulfill if I ever get back into writing for Destiny!) If you guys have any recommendations for Destiny works that are horrific, focus on themes of loss and devastation, or hate on the Witness, feel free to mention them so other people can find them!!

Not enough Witness hate going around for my liking… this looks like a job for me.

I'm like temporarily back from hell (school) and my WIPs are sobbing in the corner for not being looked after properly......but I'm just gonna drop a random TCF headcanon (an idea I got from a fun and silly fic I read) cuz why not.

Perhaps many fans may think that Cale, when he used to be Kim Rok Soo, had an okayish alchohol tolerance, just that it couldn't compare to Og!Cale's insane one.

However!

What if he actually had low-alcohol tolerance?????

I'd imagine that he would do the most insane and craziest things CJS, LSH, and his team had the misfortune to witness.

He'd blow up a few buildings here and there when sober?

He'd blow up an entire mountain and a truckload of gigantic, hideous monsters when drunk.

Way too blunt and 'cold' for his own good?

Nah, you haven't seen how sharp his words could cut a person he particularly disliked whenever he was freaking drunk.

And when Og!Cale woke up as KRS, he was pretty surprised how lightweight Cale really was and had to build a high alcohol tolerance from scratch, but it was pretty easy for him.

If Cale says his alcohol tolerance when he was KRS was okay, know that he's spitting a boldfaced lie because he actually never remembers anything he did when he was drunk, not even a tiny shred of a memory of the chaos he had unknowingly caused.

Ah, he was also...very, very honest about his feelings and he may or may not had unintentionally hinted CJS and LSH bits and pieces of his childhood. As a result they became overwhemingly protective and Cale did not have a single clue why.

okay JUICE TIPS juice tips.

I’m seeing my northern hemisphere mutuals suffering with the heat, and it’s time to share my knowledge on how to stay hydrated while also feeling like you’re treating yourself to something FUN and CUTE and not just trying not to die. That’s how I survive every tropical summer here with no AC.

Juices are your best friend. And you can make them so much fun.

1. If you can, make it natural.

Not everyone has the energy or the time, but if you can take an hour of your afternoon to squeeze oranges and lemons for the whole week like a madman, do it. It’s cheaper and healthier. Blend those mangos. Pineapples! Passion fruit! Your pick. You can add sugar to preserve it for longer. If you can do the next tip, you can just take one day to make ALL THE JUICE and not think about it anymore

(Remember juice made this way will be pure. You can add water when you drink to make it your preferred level of diluted, but I wouldn’t add it any time before that since that would just add volume for you to store.)

2. FREEZE EVERYTHING

I don’t know why we mostly only use ice trays for water. Anything can be turned into ice cubes if you have space in the freezer. And you can buy trays of all fun shapes and sizes. Heart shaped watermelon juice cubes?? Orange shaped orange juice cubes?? You can have it all. But you can also just have regular cube shaped cubes. Once it’s frozen, you can remove it from the tray and put it in a zip bag so it takes less space. Now you have magically preserved, possibly natural, freezing cold juice for all summer.

(And you can obviously freeze juice in popsicle trays for popsicle)

3. Syrup

Invest in colorful syrups. I like to always have at least one Red and one Blue, I go for granadine and blue curaçao (blue curaçao is alcoholic but I googled and there are non-alcoholic versions around). Pick your favorite flavor, but it matters to me that the colors are pretty. We’re gonna be using just a little bit of it, so they last a long time, specially if you have multiples to choose from.

Why? Because now you can have multi-color juice at any time. Orange juice with grenadine looks like a sunset. Blue curaçao on lemonade is like a glowing lagoon. It makes everything so cute and fun instantly.

Put one tablespoon of syrup on the bottom of a large glass, add the juice, don’t mix, and make it feel like an instant treat.

4. Sparkling water and tonic

If you like a sparkling drink, good news is it counts as hydration! With all the juice (or ice cube juice) on the glass, they’re won’t be space for a lot more, so with one can of your preferred sparkling drink you can refill your cup multiple times as the ice melts. That means 1) the drink will slowly transform as the proportions of juice and ice change. Dynamic! and 2) you don’t have to get up and prepare a brand new glass after the first one, you can make that one drink last as lot longer.

5. Invest in a fun large glass

If you feel so inclined, I think a large and pretty glass makes anything feel fancy. I have a couple pretty glasses here and colorful glass straws for my colorful juice. The goal here is to make things feel fancy and fun and not like you’re dying. After you buy it it adds no extra effort compared to putting your juice in a lame glass.

6. Decorate

Okay I rarely have the energy to actually do this part, but hey, one cherry? One lemon slice? Herbs? A little umbrella? It’s all fair game.

Anyway. We’re all adults and life sucks and summer sure fucking sucks, if making your hydration colorful and fun helps one get through the day, you should. Juice is healthy and good for you, and these tips are mostly upfront efforts with minimal upkeep. Maybe not all of them are possible or desirable for you, but in my experience having any two of these together already makes it 10x nicer.

What I loved about Cinderella's Castle is it is so entirely about Ella. We know starkid can handle a show with tons and tons of characters but I found it quite refreshing for it to be so wholly her story? I think it was a lovely choice for this show and man Bryce did such a perfect job of it, she is truly such a star

The ceiling is the loveliest view you've ever seen— you did it. The something you can do. Colors dull in comparison to it. As you lay on the mat, tracing worms of fracturing color that twitch with your heightened breath, a face steps in, swirling your vision into whirls of lights and traces of sweat. A smirk, a raised eyebrow— distant, not staring, but aware. He hefts his own weight. Flicks his focus to your red, flushed face. Meets your eyes for a fraction of a second before curling the iron once more.

"A sight for sore eyes."

You, at a lack for words, trace an eye over his form. He rolls his lips. You flick a brow.

And that is all there is to it.
