Do you have any Teruvid headcanons??? If so... *Grabby hands* 🥺👉👈
Hey! Man, Teruvid, huh? Well, I have to be honest and say I don’t know if I fully grasp what the dynamic would be like, but I’ll see what I can do! Non-despair AU as always, just to keep consistency with my other ship posts :v Or, perhaps a better term would be "non-killing game AU"; it's hard to imagine Teruvid without despair lmao.
CW: Toxic relationship, gaslighting.
How this relationship would start is hard to imagine, really. Especially outside the stress of the killing game. Teruko never believed David’s cheery persona was real, so she didn’t like the guy from the start.
However, outside of the killing game, David wouldn’t be actively trying to kill anyone, and Xander and Teruko would probably still be friends, so it actually works out better than expected. Presumably, the way this works outside the killing game is that David eventually realizes Teruko doesn’t believe his façade and chooses to start dropping it around her, eventually enjoying her company just because he doesn’t have to keep up a tiring act. Teruko doesn’t like him at first, so I imagine it would be David confessing. Something like, uh...
David: We both know no one will ever love us the way we are. And we won’t love each other either, and this is going to end horribly.  Teruko: Then why the hell are you even asking? David: It’s for your benefit, you know. More than anyone else, you must be well aware your luck will ruin any relationship you ever have. Teruko: … David (fake smiling, stars in eyes): But most of them will try to be optimistic, won’t they? Thinking themselves above your luck, wishing that if they just try hard enough, this time, it will work out. How hopeful~. Teruko: … And? David (smirking): And that just means it will hurt them all the worse when it all comes crashing down. And you'll feel even more miserable after all's said and done than you did in the first place. That wouldn't happen with me. Not that I'll let you, but you wouldn't care if you hurt me anyways.
Yeah I can’t see this relationship being healthy in any way lmao.
Like, they hate each other even together, that’s the Vision of Teruvid shippers right? They would both be miserable the entire time it’s happening, since they both reinforce the worst and most damaging views the other holds. If the Ultimate Inspirational Speaker can’t even inspire himself to think things can get better, then Teruko has no reason to believe they will. And if Teruko never tries to change despite hating her life, then that confirms to David that people can’t change. The relationship is held together by the illusory comfort of confirmation bias; neither has to challenge their worldviews like they would in a relationship that genuinely made them happy, so they feel at peace in their shared misery.
Speaking of, the most common intimate interaction is venting to each other about whatever bullshit they got going on, be it unfortunate events or Speaker business annoyance. Now, neither is particularly good at giving comfort, but they’re also both bad at receiving it (they don’t understand the concept that people can feel genuine affection towards them, of course), so they settle on just… not comforting each other. Just a simple “sucks” after a long rant, or even laughing at each other’s misery, but again, illusory comfort in being able to vent out their issues without having someone actually worry and care for them, because they don’t know how to handle that.
Other than that, lots of just cuddling while doing random shit. They’re both horrendously touch starved, so they never stay physically apart if possible.
That said, though, they’re not very public with their relationship. Obviously; if Teruko never seemed to like David, then they’re suddenly together, that’s gonna raise a few eyebrows. And David still tries to keep up the Speaker persona outside his one on one interactions with Teruko, a persona that Teruko dislikes due to its disingenuity, so they never really hang out in the presence of others.
Their closest friends know, except none of them actually realize that David’s persona is a lie. They think they’re keeping it quiet not to attract attention to Teruko, given David is a public figure and all. Because of that, they actually think they’re good for each other, thinking that David’s optimism and Teruko’s pessimism balance out to be pretty functional. This fundamental misunderstanding of their relationship makes David and Teruko both feel even more alienated from their friends, which feeds into the codependency. They need each other, because they’re the only ones that get it.
Indeed, this is a serious “they would make each other so much worse” situation, I can’t see Teruvid in any other way. Unless they both get some serious therapy, and even then, the way I’ve described the relationship, it would fall apart if either of them were any more stable. So, uh, yeah.
I kinda struggle to come up with much more than this for these two, so I hope that was okay! Thanks for the ask!

ok bit a background and context for something i'm gonna post later (probably... eventually... if i manage to finish it) but in the meanwhile
time-travel idea from an au which has been living non-stop in my head for the last weeks. in this au (no details, just ideas floating around), instead of damon and elena dating, there is this weird dating?not dating? denzo which is hella confusing to everyone because they're close always touching and being in each other space but!!!? we just saw damon making out with a random girl and enzo being cool??? about it so they're not dating then? right?!? (i just love the idea of undefined relationship between damon and enzo, just them being bestfriends and maybe they have sex maybe not) (somewhere in the other side alaric is groaning and despairing because "of course they're not just bestfriends!! damon and i weren't like that!! i mean yeah damon doesn't know what personal space is when drunk and is all over you whether you want it or not but we weren't like t h a t" but nobody can hear him (except maybe jeremy who chooses to ignore alaric because? he doesn't want to know or more importantly he doesn't want to think about what damon and enzo do in their free time thank you very much!))
okay i didn't plan on going that much into denzo (seriously the bestfriends ambiguous as hell thing l o v e. i t!)
but what is important to know is the things with hell happened (different from canon, notably no katherine as queen of hell) it's all cade and they failed to stop him so hellfire starts spreading and everyone is killed one by one. important thing to know now is last scene of this au is bonnie who just got killed with caroline arriving to see damon on the ground with bonnie in his arms (enzo and stefan already dead) and then she gets killed by cade. cade is about to kill damon with hellfire but before he gets burned he finds himself in front of emily who tells him he'll have a chance to start over because with cade winning, there is no balance anymore. with nothing left to lose damon accepts and emily sends him back to the past
so damon is thrown back during season 2, where everyone hates him and doesn't trust him at all, his last memories being caroline (with whom he developed an okay relationship) and bonnie (bestfriend and one of his favorite people) dying. he feels very disconnected (everyone is so young, only caroline is a vampire and even then she's a very baby vampire and bonnie hates him, his brother distrusts him) and there is a change in his behavior so obvious everyone notices and is very suspicious of it and it's too much for him. and then he remembers enzo is still a prisoner to augustine so damon leaves because he can't leave enzo to be tortured when he knows he's alive
bottom line, things happen with damon having memories from the previous timeline and with enzo present who is very disturbed by his friend because?!? fifty years alone and the man who abandoned him and left him to die suddenly comes back to free him, killing everyone on his way (he's still a bit convived this is a very elaborated hallucination) and then tells him he killed the woman he loved and he is acting so strange wtf? he's the one who was prisoner and alone and tortured for decades?? why damon looks worse than him?!

Hmm~ how about the splitting of an aphrodisiac chocolate prompt with Maki, Mikan and Kaede
chocolate aphrodisiac ft. maki
info: ⚠️nsfw!!, one-shot format, established relationship, non-despair au, reader is dominant
a/n: i have absolutely no regrets creating this prompt event i am so excited.
also, unfortunately i will not be writing anything nsfw for mikan or kaede for personal reasons, that's my bad i should have specified it before, so sorry!!
♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧
"do you want to share this with me?" she asks, despite seeing a toothbrush in your mouth. you groan, not wanting to miss out on the candy, but you're gonna have to brush your teeth again after. after waging a mini-war with yourself, the fomo wins, so you spit out your toothpaste and wipe your mouth.
as you're in the bathroom getting ready for bed, you hear a crinkling noise from your bedroom, like a plastic wrapper. you pop your head out the door to see maki sitting on your shared bed, opening a chocolate bar. she meets your gaze, and holds up the chocolate bar.
walking back into the room, you see maki separating the chocolate bar into halves, waiting for you.
"this better be some damn good chocolate, because i just brushed my teeth." you tease, though it really isn't that big of a deal to you.
"sorry, i forgot i had it in my bag."
after sitting down on the bed, you both pick up your piece, and pop them in your mouths.
"it's pretty alright," you say first, swallowing the chocolate. without another thought, you settle under the sheets and pick up the tv remote so you can relax before bed.
"i like it," maki says, before settling under the sheets herself.
you flick the channel to whatever is playing a funny, lighthearted sitcom, and cuddle up with maki.
after a single twenty minute episode, you're starting to feel tired.
"i think i'm gonna go to sleep," you tell maki, who has her eyes trained on the tv screen.
"i'm going to keep watching," she replies, and you roll over.
another episode goes by before you realize you can't fall asleep. you're so hot you're sweating, and at first you attribute it to the thick comforter, so you take it off. even after, though, you can't seem to cool down. you decide that if you can't fall asleep within the next 15 minutes, you'll just violently knock yourself out.
15 minutes passes, and your symptoms have worsened since then. you thought the dampness between your legs was just sweat, but it might be something else. your chest feels like it's tightening, and there is a zoo in your stomach.
with a sigh, you sit up, and get out of bed. the chocolate is suspicious. i mean, you only started feeling weird after you ate it.
"what's wrong?" maki asks. she's still wide awake, watching the sitcom. you don't answer, instead you rush over to the chocolate wrapper, which was still on the nightstand, and pick it up.
"maki, this is an aphrodisiac," you toss the wrapper in front of her face, and her eyes go wide as she reaches for it. her eyes scan over the description, and she brings her hand up to her mouth.
"oh god, i didn't know, i'm sorry..." she doesn't know what else to say, slowly looking up at you. you can see the fear in her eyes, she's afraid you'll be mad. but instead, when she meets your gaze, you're wearing a small smile.
"you know you didn't have to slip me an aphrodisiac. if you wanted me so badly, you could have just said so," you tease. you know she would never slip you anything, but you really want to know how she'll respond to your remark.
"that's not... shut up!" she gasps, reaching for the comforter and yanking it up so that she's completely covered.
with a chuckle, you return to your side of the bed. this time you respond with a more serious tone.
"if you just wanna go to bed, that's okay. i know it was an accident, it's alright."
"yeah, i'm gonna go to sleep."
so you decide to go to sleep, after turning off the tv. to be honest, you're a little disappointed things didn't go further, but whatever maki wants is what you want.
a few minutes goes by yet again, and you still can't sleep. you turn to face maki, wondering if she's feeling the same way. you can't see her in the dark, but you can hear her rustling around, as if she can't seem to get comfortable. you watch for a minute as she tosses and turns, before finally settling in a position facing away from you.
"s/o." her voice calls out in the darkness.
"yeah?" you respond immediately.
"do you think that we should..." her voice trails off. maki is inexperienced. you were her first kiss, her first partner, and now you might also be her first...
your breath catches. you don't even wait for her to finish her sentence, before sidling up against her back. you snake your arm around her waist to pull her closer, until her back is flush against your body. you trail your hand up to her neck, tucking a lock of her hair behind her ear so you can sink your teeth into her skin. you almost chuckle at the way her breath gets caught in her throat.
you take your sweet time lacking and biting at her neck, allowing your hand to trail back down until you find the waistband of her shorts. she let out a whimper as you slid your fingers under both her waistband and her underwear, until you find her clit.
still paying attention to her neck, you swirl your fingers around, drawing out shy moans from your partner. she's never felt a pleasure like this.
she instinctively spreads her legs, allowing you to rub her clit faster. you sink your teeth into a particularly sensitive spot behind your ear, and she gasps.
once you've abused her clit enough, and it's red and puffy, you move down to her hole. without warning, you dip a finger in.
"you've been silent long enough, i want you to tell me what you want now."

I think there's a lot of stuff about Nagito's dislike for the Reserve Course that people overlook.
First and foremost is that Killing Game Nagito has a far more intense dislike for it than pre-amnesia Nagito. And the reason for that is his first impression of them is the discovery that they were responsible for helping the Ultimate Despair destroy Hope's Peak. Without the context of the brainwashing or the events leading up to the Parade, it's quite understandable that he would think "What an ungrateful lot, repaying such a wonderful school like that". And moreover in Chapter 4 the revelation about Hajime's origin is only a small factor in his sudden hostility. We don't realize it at the time, but Nagito is undergoing a huge mental breakdown at the discovery of who EVERYONE truly was, including himself.
We see how he interacts with Hajime in a canon non-Despair AU in UTDP and Summer Camp, where he knows that Hajime is a Reserve Course student from the very beginning. Despite some initial feelings that Hajime shouldn't be hanging out with Ultimates, a real friendship still blossoms. Because he's not so shallow that he'll blindly hate everyone that doesn't have a talent.
In fact in general Nagito doesn't really have anything personal against average people. He just thinks it's wrong for people like himself to be pretentious and act like they're super-special. Which is definitely a bit immature. But he does kind of have a point with this in regards to Hajime in Chapter 4. One of Hajime's biggest flaws that people overlook is that he was actually quite self-centered and felt entitled to being special. And his blind pursuit of that ultimately caused a lot of harm to everyone, including himself and all of Class 77.
Also this is a bit of headcanoning on my part. But I think it's quite possible that him being the Ultimate Lucky Student factors into things too. The idea for the position on paper is to have some lucky average student from the country get the honor of spending their high school years walking alongside the best and brightest. To Nagito it seems like a deeply important responsibility to serve his betters in any way he can...And then suddenly at around the same time he starts attending Hope's Peak (or possibly a year before), a whole bunch of other average students are allowed to pay to enter. In which case, doesn't that make the position and tradition of the Ultimate Lucky Student kind of redundant and obsolete? That could easily wound the pride of a younger immature Nagito. Especially when as far as he's concerned, graduation is probably as far as his dying body can hope to make it. He was hoping attending Hope's Peak would make the last years of his life a happy send-off.
REALLLLLLL OH MY GOD
ALSO THAT LAST PART?? I’M GONNA BE THINKING ABOUT THAT FOREVER NOW. AKDNWJDBWJDBWJZJWJD
I don’t even know how to?? respond to this?? what the fuck this is so good

Fanfic Writer Emoji Ask
😅 What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists?
🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?
🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?
🎶 Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?
🌞 Do you have a preferred time of day to write?
💖 What made you start writing?
🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?
✅ What's something that appears in your fics over and over and over again, even if you don't mean to?
🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?
😅 What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists? Oh man, I don't think I've ever published anything I'm embarrassed of. That said, I always look at older writing and see things that I would change. When I first started writing L&C I actually started writing a whole canon divergent au where Lucy sees Jessica's ghost and then her and George decide to wait to tell Lockwood until they've had a chance to investigate (and there was this whole plot where I basically put Rotwell's Aldbury Castle experiment in Marylebone). Reading back through it, the characterizations feel very off, so I guess I'm enough embarrassed of it that it's never gonna get published...
🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh? From What Isn't Broken
The ghost was more odd than intimidating: a spindly old man who followed them around and kept bellowing ‘quarter turn to the left’ every few minutes broken up occasionally by an indignant ‘up yours!’. Lucy had spent a good chunk of time trying to discern a pattern, and just ended up feeling like she was playing a Dadaist version of hot and cold.
🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride? Hmmm... I think actually Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. It's the shortest of my fics, but there's quite a lot that happens in it, and it's a bit non-chronological, so it's pretty fast paced and the emotional impact to word count ratio is high.
🎶 Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately? Often I don't actually. Sometimes I find it distracting. But I've done quite a bit of writing listening to the Sing the Delta album by Iris Dement.
🌞 Do you have a preferred time of day to write? Ummm... well my brain prefers to write in the middle of the night... I would prefer if that were not the case
💖 What made you start writing? Initially compulsion. But generally I just find it satisfying.
🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success? I mean I do get a lot of satisfaction just from the feeling that I've been able to capture some idea or feeling in a way that is compelling to me. But also the communication part of writing is still important (otherwise I wouldn't be publishing things...) so getting comments where it's clear that I've communicated what I set out to completely make my day.
✅ What's something that appears in your fics over and over and over again, even if you don't mean to? Grief, the mutability of memories, objects as vessels for memories, characters struggling with emotional vulnerability...
🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)? I have a hard time with writing a compelling mystery. I have a hard time with anything that takes a lot of meticulous plotting
Thanks @itripandfallalot!

Nagitos of all kinds pop up in the gathering. Nagitos from non-Despair verses, AUs, gender-flipped Nagitos, even a small handful of Nagizurus/Kamukura Nagitos. Like the Komahina club for example will have some FemNagitos that are in yuri Komahina relationships (or FemNagito x Hajime, Nagito x FemHajime, or even non-binary Komahina).
And of course the Nagitos from verses with a version of the Tragedy compare notes with those from non-Despair verses. The Komaegi Nagitos from non-Despair verses feel so vindicated learning from their counterparts that their boyfriend became the Ultimate Hope in other universes, being like "I KNEW MAKOTO WAS SPECIAL!". The Komaegi Nagitos and Matsukoma Nagitos in general are a wee bit braggadocious about having won the love of Makoto and Yasuke. And take pride in having some exclusivity.
Though things get really funny when they learn how things went in class swap verses (where Chiaki, Hajime, or even Nagito himself became the THH scenario's protagonist). And are shown footage of Despair Makoto. They all start fanning themselves and going "Oh my!" because of just how very...captivating he is. Especially if there's some foe yay going on between Despair Makoto and Protagonist Nagito.
Most of the clubs have their own variant of "Octagon!". Like with those prior three, the Kuzukoma Nagitos giggle at the thought of Fuyuhiko being grumpy and shouting "Dumbass!". The Komazumi Nagitos get all dreamy at the idea of Mahiru with her hands on her hips and going "Geez!". And the Twokoma Nagitos are like "Does your Imposter wag their finger and say 'Nagito, no' to you too?", to which they're like "YES, LMAO!!"
The Komahinanatsusatozumi Nagito we talked about earlier is like a weird celebrity among them. Most polyship Nagitos will usually only be in a relationship with two people. Some Komahinanami Nagito will see him brandishing his Komahina, Komazumi, Natsukoma, and Komasato membership cards and be all...
"Gee Nagito, how come you get to have four relationships?"
"Six. Getting the paperwork for my Matsukoma and Kuzukoma memberships sorted out."
"Does the Natsumi in your universe know about you and her brother?"
"Yeah, she doesn't mind. After seeing so many universes with a Tragedy I'm only more certain now than ever that what we have is wonderful."
"Well, at least I know you'll never get to experience the joy of being a Komanami Nagito."
"Actually our verse's Chiaki and her girlfriend Mikan are thinking of joining our polycule. Sato invited Mikan."
"...Dammit."
OMG DESPAIR FREE VERSES, AJSBSJSJN Gender flipped Nagito!!!! That's so cool AHHHH YURI KMHN MY BELOVED, ooooo enby kmhn I need more of themmm BRUH THIS IS SO COOL, "I KNEW MAKOTO WAS SPECIAL" GAHHH MY HEART 💞💞 This is so amazing I don't know what to say!! Hahahha braggy Maeda, he would do that ehee OMG HIM AS THE PROTAG OOOOO THAT'S SOMETHINH WE NEVER KNEW WE NEEDED BUT DESERVE, hahahah how very captivating, just say you love him you dang poet hehe, there would beee!!
Haahhahah kzkm's one is accurate, MAHIRU WOULD, I CAN IMAGINE THEM DOING THAT LOL IMPOSTER WE LOVE YOU, well wow Nagito you went from a hopless romantic to having 4 people in a loving poly, LOOK AT YOU GOO!!<33 Six!! Tell him my guy, YEP Natsumi wouldn't mind!! Maybe they'd fight over him sometimes because aggressive blondes haha but it would be chill with her, YEAH NANAMIKI RIGHTS!!!! THEY GONNA BE THE BEST POLY EVER AND TAKE OVER THE WORLD OR SOMETHING I DUNNO I'M JUST HAPPY TO SEE HIM BE LOVED!! 💕💕 hahahah the remark though-

Digimon (Mainly Xros Wars sorry) headcanons/aus that I keep thinking from 2013 to now, that probably should post it online and then kept inside cause I was scared of the fandom back then lol
So.. how I am going to start this
Also, please don't give fandom hate in my replies/rb, I don't care if a media has a lot of flaws but there are some people who enjoy it so be respectful
Let's go with this first cause my head screaming for Legends crossover ever since I read a fanfic of Daisuke/Davis as Takuya's cousin and screamed about @/digitalgate02 blog about the Legends au (actually I still screamed about this for years ever since the crossover episode but at the time, only popular crossover fanfic with all Digimon characters was kinda disappointing and kinda not like characters at all, let say Taichi character on that fanfic is a dick, actually most of them are assholes that my younger self patient to wait a few years to see there new content but still less but hey, at least there new good fanfics)
Btw you can scream about shipping hcs I don't mind, I kinda still ship Kiritai but not much as my 9 years old did, however, please block me if you ship minors characters with adult characters
Xros Over with The Legends with new legends heroes (the legend heroes adult/teens here cause Xros Wars timeline is 2013 ish idk) :
The Legends is very worried about Taiki cause Taiki ain't hiding he is traumatized and feels about to snap, he even smiles about it like that not a big deal to him
Taiki will need to be dragged by other Legends cause that boy helping people non stop that he forgot his self-care
The Legends want Taiki to give therapy but Taiki always refused, but..
"Taiki-san, you need therapy.. what do you mean you didn't deserve to have a dream cause it's selfish???" (Taichi, Daisuke, etc)
"I don't need therapy besides a therapist probably can't deal with our adventures.." Taiki reminded them that no one would understand Digital World problems
"You know what, let's ask DATS to make a psychologists branch for traumatized Digidestined Kids" (Masaru)
"Wait, you don't need-" Taiki panicked
"As a president of Aonuma Corps, I will fund you a lot if they decided to make it"
"Wait, KIRIHA?!" (Taiki)
'Ah, of course, Kiriha gonna be Taiki's sugar daddy... For Taiki's well-being,' Tagiru and Yuu thought at the same time
Sorry, I can't make good fanfic in English, most of my time is using Indonesian so it's my first time
4. Once in a while, they would have a soccer match after ending an evil world ending Digimon for relaxing, let's say Taiki is so athletic and flexible he becomes Messi
5. Masaru can take care of Taiki even though he is bad at food related, if they lived in Digital World for a while, he would give Taiki poison berries cause he thinks it's food as long you can eat it. Shoutmon will in despair again and just shouted at them to live in his kingdom before Taiki eat that berries
6. Daisuke, Taiki, and Takato only ones that can cook properly but with Taiki low self-care, it's just two of them can handle it
7. Ever since Taiki can hear digimelody, Taiki can hear and talk to Digispirits and eventually became Agnimon gossip listener, more like a rant about Takuya being an idiot
8. They acknowledged that Taiki is smarter than them in strategizing but still wonder why he so bad at keeping his well-being
9. They really need to get used to Taiki passing out shenanigans cause they keep getting a heart attack
10. They wonder if they were a family, so they vote Taichi is the tired dad lmao
11. One time when they get asked most dangerous they did, Taiki answered to them that he almost die, why? Cause to escape a kingdom was needing Taiki's death data
All the legends atp want to pass out cause this kid is more self-sacrificial and have no fear of death
12. Taiki sometimes rambles to them about Kamen Rider all the time, he talk non stop about Shoutaro from Kamen Rider W and Takeru from Kamen Rider Ghost (Geez is that where Taiki learn recklessness from- /hj)
Xros Wars & Hunters :
Xros Heart Team is a pseudo-family, Taiki the Mom, Kiriha The Dad, Nene the Mom while Yuu the Child
Taiki is spoils Tagiru a lot even though he is a mentor because he see him as little brother too
Taiki kinda seen him in Tagiru after he knows that Tagiru risk his safety for his friends, he want to tell him that his safety also important but he feel hypocrite about himself so he decided to not tell him about it
If Akari can't take care Taiki for a while, Kiriha would go Taiki house with a private jet even though he was in America for a meeting but knowing Taiki, he knows he need to go there fast, he would barge in kicking his door and dragged him to eat and drink water
Tagiru secretly blame himself and think he is stupid because he think if he smarter enough, Taiki couldnt get hurt by Quartzmon, and he has secretly inferiority complex, that why he want to surpass Taiki. he see Taiki as a rival role model, multi talented kid he never become, once he do this with other kid when he was younger but people thought he an attention seeker child and have few friends, he cherished those friends that he risk his safety for them so he feel useful for them
Yuu realized Tagiru problems with his lack of safety that...
"Tagiru, I don't care, I will drag you down to Therapy center if that the last thing i do, i have money from Nee-san so you don't worry about the pay"
7. Taiki can't mad mad, he doesn't want to be mad so every time he feel angry that he start to cry
8. Kiriha secretly loves to spoils Xros Heart Team with expensive gifts
9. Taiki learn to give someone speech of friendship /hj and punch them from his hospitalized friend
10. Tagiru sometimes feel like doesn't deserve Taiki's goggles
11. Ever since Taiki can hear digimelody, he can play music pretty well, just not singing
Now to the AUs, i currently have one, this one that keep me brainstorming so much that went into my dream,
Timeline Fixers AU:
This AU inspired some from HSR, but there a twist
There also some suicidal tendencies so if you don't want to read it, skip it to other crossover
Tagiru is kinda similiar to canon but kinda chill but after prologue, his mischievous side rises
Prologue titled 'If he always do this, so i can too' : Tagiru and Taiki do school as usual, everything back to normal, Tagiru is junior in highschool while Taiki is a senior that gonna graduate but there actually wrong with Taiki but Tagiru doesn't know what so he ignore it until Taiki say anything but .. when he saw Taiki casually walk to cross the road while car gonna hit him, he knew he gotta save his mentor and pull him up, after that Taiki broken ever since, Kiriha think this is Taiki snap. Tagiru doesn't know what to do, he want to help him but Taiki look so broken then.. a voice heard his wish, a calm voice saying to his head, "Child Of Destiny, as 7th Legend Hero, your duty came again and try to fix this mess by dimension/space time travel then you can save everyone including your mentor, Taiki Kudou
"Fine then..."
"But child, do you think this is path you want to take, this journey will cost you a lot even your sanity and health"
"It's fine, if Taiki can handle a digimon war so i can too... no matter what, beside this is my payback for him, guiding me all this time"
"Good luck to you, Hunter" then Tagiru take a step in to a space time travelling Trailmon without looking back but he didn't saying a goodbye, not even to Taiki. All he thinks now if the core timeline be at peace, then he can come back
then in Frontier, Shinya become Warrior of Earth and celebrating with the team until an evil digimon attack them out of nowhere, then they lost and Takuya save Shinya life till the very end. Then he heard same voice as Tagiru heard and become a Timeline fixer to save his brother and friends.
this journey take a lot of patience cause fixing and guiding digidestined kids is hard when most of the time, they keep discreet
This aus have timeloop too so when they fail, the timeline reset and start all over again
Because they doesn't want to get recognized, they act discreet and act like a villain more like anti-villain/hero that help/guiding everyone little by little, at first they doesn't want this but after making huge progress with little time, the karma bit their backs and got worst ending so they know they need to stay away as possible and guide them not too much.
When they got caught, they used their fake name like Tagiru is Tsukasa, a reference to Tsukasa Kadoya from Kamen Rider Decade that a lot of dimension think he a villain and Tsukasa force being a villain for the sake of protecting the dimensions. He knows this when Taiki rambles about Kamen rider
while Shinya choose Kyousuke, a reference of Tsurugi Kyousuke, a character of Inazuma eleven, that once a villain but he become one cause he can pay his brother medical surgery etc, in nutshell, want to save his brother
Taiki situation is the same as Emu Hojo in the novel, inspired from that but Taiki situation realizing if he doesn't have a dream so he didn't need a college cause he think so selfish of him doing college even though he blessed being a child-prodigy so he think his life is selfish and become diasosiative state and yknow try to d word himself
While Emu in that novel is a young kid that rough life, have a absent parent that didn't care about him, make himself clumsy so he can go to clinic for affection, attention cause he never got that from his father, eat frozen food cause he don't know how to make food then play video games, he thought his life is a like game so he think if he died, he can game restart and he did by crossing a road even though the red light still on and a car crash into him, luckily he survived but he forgot why he did it in the first place
A/N : Tbh i thought XW written by Kamen Rider Ex-Aid writer cause how similar but no, it's actually Kamen Rider W/Drive, the most normal and not too angsty Kamen Rider i ever seen
Timeline Fixer basically Stellaron Hunters but Homura-fied and fixes every world/timeline danger secretly so no one knows and every timeline can be at peace so basically villains that actually not villains that guiding the characters little by little by giving hints and act like a mysterious villains that doing work in the dark, while talks mysteriously and giving mysterious hints
For now, i can think only two for this team, maybe i can add more if i can
After Tagiru became a Timeline Fixer, he suddenly more edgelord lmao but he still himself with more michevious side, basically like Kafka
Shinya somewhat a walking Informant so he can remind Tagiru the script of how its going to happen
The Timeline now a mess and the evil digimons that never seen before appear and not supposed to appear in the core timeline, and need to get rid of it by Timeline Fixers cause the digimons may cause harm to the timeline
Timeline Fixers came before Digidestined children started their hourney watched them far away so they know if there gone wrong or not
Tagiru and Shinya may be same age as before they take their journey as timeline fixers but mentally, they aged A LOT
Their digivice upgraded so much that look like a phone but still has D-Tector or Xros Loader functions with few edition which is can summon a weapon anything so they can fight with digimon partner, their weapons can be more damage if they bond with their digimon partner in sync so well
Tagiru's weapon is a scythe, when he and Arresterdramon in sync, the scythe give Tagiru Ability to sprint fast and past through living being like a ghost.
Shinya's weapon is Earth like knuckles fantasy weapon that help him control Earth powers
Tagiru realized this journey is hard, with his mistakes alone can make timelines messy so he need to serious about it. But like that mysterious digimon voice said before, warning him of the journey he take, this journey will give him a lot of despair, he seen his consequences when take a rash action and put a timeline more messy than it's should be.
As a Timeline Fixer, sure you didn't aged too much but your mental age will increase and increase your maturity too but you will suffer an eternity of regrets, sorrow and despair. But as long, you have Courage, Hope, Bravery, and Friendship etc (i forgot most crests so forgive me) alongside you.. you can breathe easily and fight that despair.
Gumdramon know Tagiru despair is like an abyss now so he take some of his despair so Tagiru didn't feel left out. Tagiru opposes this idea from the start cause he don't want Gumdramon berserk and lose his old self but Gumdramon disagree and do it anyway. He didn't go berserk and changed his form (? I have low knowledge of digimon) to Dark Gumdramon, his looks more menacing now but he still his old self, but more protective to Tagiru and Shinya.
that is probably that it's for now, there another au but it's still unfinished lol and sorry for the angst

i keep looking at my own fic ideas from like a couple years ago that i have outlines for and going "wow, i really don't want to write these!" so here's a comprehensive list of fanfics i still have on my desktop which i have started but made litle progress on:
masterpiece theatre - an akira/mob psycho 100 crossover. the premise of this one was that tetsuo managed to create an alternate universe at the end of the film/manga, which was the mp100 universe. he's just kind of there trying to live a normal life while navigating the trauma from his past life. naturally this does not work out well and he winds up both meeting people from the akira 'verse and people from the mp100 'verse. i think i had in mind that it would end roughly around the first season of mp100. anyway this was roughly inspired by my musings about mp100 reminding me of a sort of inverse of akira's storyline that i can no longer articulate because it has been years since i read mp100 all the way through.
cause - this was just going to be a complete rewrite of rebel without a cause where i fixed what i saw as a pacing issue with the film and also gave more context to the characters' lives because i have a love/hate relationship with the original
it's not my party, but i'll still cry if i want to - a really short fic that was taking characters from rebel without a cause and plopping them into a modern 'verse just for the sake of having jim infodump about the 50s while sulking because he thinks judy & plato are doing something together and generally having rsd
where worlds collide and days are dark - all i got is that it's for mgs and i still have a hold of this document despite it just being snippets of fic i wrote like years ago.
statement of daniil dankovsky // statement of artemy burakh - magnus archives crossovers for pathologic, the first one being daniil's statement about the world being alive (based on pathologic classic) and the second one being artemy's statement about seeing daniil die, only to be "replaced" by another actor the following day while everyone else acts like nothing ever happened.
when you finally get involved, face to face - danganronpa ishimondo fic that was a project to see if i could focus long enough to write 100k. instead of getting together as teenagers, the fic would take place over the span of 10 years, where they'd get together as adults. i was really excited about this one when i started it, but people started being transmisogynist in the comments so i stopped working on it and got into pathologic instead.
a document titled 'cool ishimaru has a chill day with boyfriend' which i think was about ishimaru discovering he's trans, that was meant to be a non-despair au and with everyone being generally supportive of him.
flaws - danganronpa fic where taka talks to makoto about feeling possessive and how horrible it feels but i never actually finished or published it. it's pretty much done now... i could go back and edit it down to where i'm satisfied with it but i don't know :/
i wanna ruin our friendship (we should be lovers instead) - some kind of au where either it's non-despair or everyone lives... it was going to have hina and taka bonding over having crushes on their best friends who are oblivious. it was gonna be from hina's pov bc i love her
in the middle - okay this one i swear i will write one day... whenever i replay trigger happy havoc... it was going to be a polyamory fic where mondo is dating chihiro, who used to date taka and desperately wants mondo and taka to be friends. they'd be in college here. chihiro is transfem and taka is transmasc and mondo realizes he's nonbinary i think was a plot point. anyway,
an untitled danganronpa fic wherein hope's peak decides the classes need mentors and taka picks juzo, w ho came out of the closet for the express purposes of getting out of having to mentor anybody. but taka thinks it was very brave of him and wants advice on coming out despite being a public figure.
letters - this was just going to be eight, thirty-one from taka's pov
jojo's despaire adventure - jojo characters put in a danganronpa situation. pretty sure polnareff was going to be the protag of this one. it was going to be a simulation dio was running to try and rewrite the universe, hence why so many characters from so many parts were there and also had no memory of each other. i think kakyoin was going to be the first casualty.
all of my started but unfinished assorted jjba works you can still find on ao3: next chapter of cherry wine was going to have a karaoke section because fox gave me the funniest image of hol horse singing a shitty maroon 5 song. i have no idea where i was headed with heads on a science apart. not sure what the next chapter of heart of glass was going to be and i don't feel like pulling up the outline but i can tell you how it ended if anyone is curious about that. she told me to come but i was already there - there was going to be a battle of the bands kind of thing wherein we were going to get hol horse singing 'ride a horse, save a cowboy'. that was the highlight of the chapter and i don't remember what else i had planned for it. starfish crusaders was going to have a mechanic where some of the joestars were part merpeople and could transform at will. warmth, though, i have no idea where i was going with that.
alexithymia - a patho fic exploring the turmoil of not knowing, understanding, or articulating your own feelings. with daniil, of course.
something just titled 'angst outline' that is for a long form pathologic angst fic i was never going to write because i was convinced nobody was going to read it. it was going to be burda but with even more problems and issues and angst for the sake of angst.
a fic about artemy's insomnia
some unspcified fics about daniil being autistic
bio murky - okay this is really obvious but the reason to read the fic was that it was transmasc artemy. essentially artemy and daniil met and hooked up and maybe started falling in love in the capital and then artemy left for home unexpectedly... because he was pregnant. i think this was going to be an everyone lives kind of au or potentially even a no-sand pest au.
a blurb about andrey and his bipolar disorder
e pluribus unem - if i ever actually write this one i'll have to find a title that won't invoke such a knee-jerk reaction but anyway this was a fic about daniil going about wooing artemy by making amends/friends with those of artemy's bound. it was going to be told in little shorts of daniil meeting with the kids. originally i wrote this from daniil's pov but i think if i write this one i'll do it from the kids' povs.
a blurb about daniil having a breakdown after the end of classic
let's climb the cliff edge and jump again - this was gonna be a fic about daniil and andrey's tentative friendship in university where andrey is a horrible influence, a horrible friend, and a horrible brother. it was loosely inspired by my toxic girl friendships i had in college [a/n: i was a girl in college] and the first time i got high. i wanted it to be My Dandrey Fic but without happy dandrey at the end... hints of griefdrey instead... and again thinking about andrey's bipolar disorder because i'm always thinking about it!
a mark/rubin fic that was gonna be nsfw.
mystical inclinations - a soulmate au with tattoos i think? polyamory and platonic soul mates were going to be a thing in this au but i kind of don't remember what i was doing with it.
another pregame burda au
a fic i started where rubin is mortified to be caught in between artemy and daniil's...whatever
a fic about artemy & daniil's first kiss
talk too much - daniil, who is usually a smoother talker, has a habit of sticking his foot in his mouth whenever artemy is around
another fic entry in my modern au thing, where artemy's kids meet daniil for the first time
vince malum bono - clara talking to each of her bound on the last few days of the plague, patho-2 version
when my time comes around, lay me gently in the cold, dark earth - this was going to be mashing up daniil and artemy's routes (and at the end, clara's as well). with burda. of course.
when the day met the night - burda fic where daniil is about to get taken out by the government because he's a criminal against common sense and good morals, and artemy panics and tells the emmisaries who show up that they can't take daniil because they are to be married, and they can't take the menkhu's husband. and of course the emmissaries aren't stupid so they say they'll be back for the wedding. very romcom.

HEWWO WISHI ( ≧∀≦)ノ
I yam interested in knowing a bit more about your ship with Kazuichi!! When you've got the time of course, any ideas or facts, I'd love to hear them🫶
🍪<- cookie for you
(Grins evilly) HAIII FLAKE >■</!!!!! So glad you sent this bc now I get to think about GabiDen 2.0 (so sorry StarSoda/KazWish for calling you guys that. If anything Gabi and Denji are StarSoda 2.0 if you really think about it [Kazuichi was the first shark toothed guy i ever unofficially f/o'd. This is some serious irl Wishi lore])
▪︎ Despite being in the class below Kazuichi, Wishi's actually the oldest !! Not by much, just by a couple of months (She's born in April, he's born in June)
▪︎ Kazuichi and Wishi met due to Sonia, actually !! Sonia and Wishi became friends due to fact that both of them were technically transfers. They'd hang out sometimes either during or after school, and considering Kazuichi's infatuation with Sonia, it was only a matter of time until they crossed paths with one another.
▪︎ Their dynamic is 100% "[A] fell first; [B] fell harder" with Wishi being A and Kazuichi being B. Except Wishi did fall first then proceeded to fall harder because of course she did.
▪︎ In a normal AU, Wishi fell for Kazuichi during their school years, but lacked the courage to do anything about it at the time. Meanwhile, Kazuichi would've realized he caught feelings for Wishi if not for the events that happened, which for lack of better term, distracted him from that. Wishi sort of got a do-over during SDR2 when they were both in the Neo World Program (which is its own story as to why she's in there), where she, in fact, ended up falling first AGAIN. But this time, Kazuichi finally fell harder (hallelujah)
□ However, in a non despair AU, things go slightly better ! And by slightly I mean The End never kick starts because I blended Junko Enoshima so now StarSoda gets to have a silly HS romance >■< In Which Wishi falls first and goes "ohno" because he's like. OBSESSED with Sonia and also because Wishi + Crushes = flustered hell and delusions too maybe. And Kazuichi FINALLY realizes that he's fallen HARD because "oh cute girl who's like really nice to me and is cute and probably likes me?? And is cute and is my friend who's actually been great and is also CUTE!?!" yaeah ♡♡ This time though Wishi actually ends up doing smthn about it. And by that I mean Kazuichi asked her out sometime in his third year bc he didn't have much time left and wanted to get at least a CHANCE at some Highschool romance. Wishi said yes. And by "say yes" I mean she was right about to ask HIM out too (with the same reasoning as him) and went "o.oh you were gonna. ah. okay guess I don't need this anymore" secretly hides heartfelt card she made bc she was too afraid to confess verbally (he got the card anyway)
▪︎ After some time of being friends, Wishi mentioned that she made silly little webcomics in her free-time and Kazuichi near BEGGED her to add him in one. And she went "I'm not doing THAT. EVER!!!" and then immediately added him in the background as a bg character in the newest web comic she was working on.
▪︎ Speaking of. Wishi almost always doodles Kazuichi whenever she's drawing warm up sketches. She's got a little sketchbook and almost all of the pages have some sort of Souda drawing on them. You can actually track her improvement when it comes to drawing him.
▪︎ In HS, they were the couple who technically weren't a couple but . Everyone could tell. "Yeahhh they defo have smthn going on" because they DIDD so then when they actually got together nobody was all that surprised about it.
▪︎ Not much changed when they went from friends to dating in terms of their dynamic, except Kazuichi got, like... REALLY super giddy near the beginning of their relationship. Almost to the point where he was but a liiiittle bit overwhelming. But Wishi knew it was from a place of genuine excitement, and he chilled out a little eventually!!
▪︎ I wanna say that they’re both super affectionate to the point where their friends go “yuck!!” at the PDA but really? I don’t think they’d get thaaat bad about it! While Kazuichi is 100% ready to go HAM with PDA, Wishi is a bit more tactful.
□ … THOUGH WISHI HAS HER MOMENTS!!! She’s definitely a repeat offender of sneaking behind Kazuichi and just completely GLOMPING the hell out of him. Sneaks up behind and jumps on his back ,, koala hugs him too,, Almost NEVER fails to scare the socks off of him!! But then he realizes it’s his GF and he goes from terrified to shakily happy :3c
▪︎ Wishi likes to draw her and Kazuichi together, or just make general art that he’d like, while Kazuichi likes making little trinkets for Wishi!!
□ They've both made eachother little charms and keychains for the other!! Wishi drew out a design and made one out of clay for Kazuichi, while Kazuichi worked overnight on a cute little trinket using the parts of two watches and also a couple of coke cans. It was a very pretty charm that had a neat flashlight function!!
▪︎ I like to think that somewhere in the future, they move in together 💭💭 They probably adopt a cat together (Kazuichi found a cat in the engine of an old car and brought it home and Wishigot attached quickly). Wishi probably ended up publishing her webcomic as a physical thing while Kazuichi finally got to finish that bike project he was working on, as well as being able to open his own mechanic .. um. Shop? I forgot the right word, mb
□ That’s all in a non-despair AU though. In a normal AU, they don’t live together… Technically. Wishi visits Jabberwock Island for half a year annually and lives with Kazuichi when she does, but she does have to leave the island to do her work as a Future Foundation Member (while FF started rebuilding Hopes Peak, I honestly doubt that there still wasn’t other work to be done. She keeps busy tending to Hopes Peak, as well as outside work that the Future Foundation assigns her to do). Fortunately, though, it didn’t really cause a lot of problems in the long run! It was a little difficult at first, but it definitely helped that they kept up contact when Wishi was away! Plus, Wishi started taking quick two-three day visits during the months she’s mainly working just so that the wait isn’t as long/unbearable.

sa fic rec list [non-eng] pt 2!!
1) About Pirates Who Tell Tales by Hattis
https://ficbook.net/readfic/9819431 russian - complete - M rating - 551 pages
i don’t think i can do another russian section without paying homage to this giant of a fic so. yea let’s do that.
want to preface this by saying yes, it is very long – it is also very worth it. my favorite part of the whole story is the second epilogue, and you really need the context of the whole fic thus far to take in what makes the scene so good, which means. yes. i am telling you to read all of it AND its worth it a promise. even if it takes a long time.
the au is like.. historical real-world i suppose?? it’s a pirate au y’know how those go. not-one-piece pirates. i’m sure everyone has thought abt it more than once. imo this fic does a rly good job of not glossing over the goings-on of the era it depicts. when Hattis wants you to think someone is cruel and savage she really gets the point across. also REALLY good at depicting highly emotional moments, whether it be hopelessness, panic, despair, devotion, salvation, whimsy, heartfelt joy. i think it’s fair to say everyone gets what they deserve by the end, be it in a good or bad way.
there is so much uhhhhhh that goes into this one and it has been a minute since i finished it so this is a bare-bones summary: ace is a pirate under the flag of another, and sabo is an english nobleman. by birthright they both follow in the footsteps of cruel legacies, and become more and more entwined each time their paths cross.
this fic rly chews you up and spits you back out as a different type of whole. in a good way. like, i promise reading it is not gonna break you. it gets tough at times but everything works out :’)
before this gets too long one final tidbit: there is so much symbolism at work and it all culminates so well but my favorite one (and the one that connects w my favorite scene in the whole story) is that ace’s beaded necklace is made from blood pearls, and was (if i’m remembering correctly) his mothers before his own, and he and sabo pass it back and forth to each other over the course of the fic as a tangible sign of their devotion to each other.
2) life [i’m glad i’m alive] and life [1+1=1] by normal_q
cat’s pov // ace’s pov thai - complete - G rating - 12k (p1) + 11k (p2)
a duo!! they are both the same story, just altered c: it doesn’t matter which you start with, so i’ve linked them in publishing order.
i spent sooooo loooooooooong last year looking for these and failed because i was searching for it in the wrong language. stumbled upon the pair by chance earlier this year and saved them immediately. i didn’t think there were two and the fact they’re in thai completely tripped me up (sn: there are so many sa fics in thai but all the translators i’ve tried to use won’t recognize the symbols and when translated into eng come out as a wall of ⊠⊠⊠. idk why ao3 is different but it does it correctly so!! saving grace ig) but i am so glad i found them again.
in the story, there is a human sabo and a cat sabo. human sabo is overseas and him and ace have a long-distance relationship. cat!sabo is a recent addition and a pretty good insight to ace’s loneliness. about the day-to-day lives of ace and cat. (another sn: there’s a death warning in the first link bc it’s alluding to the nine lives of a cat, as this is cat!sabo’s ninth “life”, so there is no actual death involved promise promise!!!)
this pair of fics is really charming and filled with melancholy. if you have time to spare i highly recommend giving one of them a go. it’s a quick read and leaves you feeling warm inside by the end.
3) idiot couple’s house record by Wirola
https://archiveofourown.org/works/26487442 chinese - complete - M rating - 8k
this one is SO cute!!! also bittersweet but that doesn’t detract from the fluff. it’s modern au, starting at the beginning of the pandemic when the area sabo and ace are living in goes under quarantine and they have to cancel their wedding ceremony :[ sad.
it follows their lives together from that point onward, with sabo working long hours from home and ace stuck at home. it’s super cute and heartfelt and also just. realistic. you really feel feel for them as the story progresses. like, at one point ace stages a “wedding” in animal crossing to show sabo only for him to get a call from work and be stuck with it and not get done until long after everything is over. and the next day has my favorite line and probably one of the most heart-wrenching of the story: “Sabo thought resentfully in the dim light of the computer screen, it's none of my business, I'm just a garbage doctor who delays people to death with useless conversations, so garbage that I can't even save my marriage.”
it doesn’t end sad tho i promise all of these are good, happy endings aaaaAAA!!! still, i think when you’re supposed to feel depressed, wirola does a tremendous job of putting you in that mindset.
the second half is more lighthearted. ace gets a vr headset and keeps getting hurt, so sabo buys a bunch of childproof equipment for the house in the hopes of preventing injuries and forwards the bill to a coworker for reimbursement, and said coworker... misunderstands and rants online that sabo and ace have a baby before her, which is completely unfair. misunderstandings galore. garp sends luffy halfway across the world to see them w gifts and meat following the false “news”. everything works out in the end.
this one def makes you laugh and cry all in one sitting. worth it tho!!
4) couple’s travel hotel guide by SiebenL
https://archiveofourown.org/works/29556993 chinese - complete - T rating - ~7k
i really love fics that are formatted in sections like this. it has been too long for me to remember much, so i reread it before adding it so i could ramble a little more. and. yeah. i can see why i had it on the list.
siebenL writes a lot of interesting premises in fics and this one hits the spot. it jumps all over the place in the lives and relationship between professional photographer ace and (on the side) blogger/hotel reviewer sabo. i don’t think sabo’s (main) profession is really ever defined? something to do w/ writing. not that it rly matters.
the formatting is overall what does it for me on this one and why i’m putting it above all other of siebenL’s works (at least for the list!) it bounces between present, reviews + comment section, and past interactions. if sabo has some notoriety, he blogs anonymously, because it’s unknown. meanwhile ace is a popular photographer for a famous magazine, and it’s fun to see all the hints to such unfold with each review. (: sabo attaching ace’s photos to reviews to counter his own (incredibly mediocre) shots, and ppl in the comments connecting the dots on who his friend A is after the (second scene’s) most recent review by going back thru older entries.
also, like always, the way siebenL depicts ace and sabo is so fantastically good. (if you like this one i high-key recommend you check out other works of theirs ! ) both of them meet after exchanging notes thru a homestay’s message (cork)board because they never have the same timetables to be in the building at the same time, until the very end of both of their stays, when they run into each other by chance. and then it goes from there!
5) Arctic Lovers by Ryo
https://pattco863.postype.com/post/9632169 korean - complete - T rating - 1k
admittedly all of ryo’s sa works are good, but since this is the first one i read uhhh quite a bit ago now, i have a particular soft spot for it. the prose is very lyrical and sweet, and even though it’s not too long, i definitely think it’s worth checking out.
it’s mostly sabo’s internal musings about living somewhere cold with ace. along with a little insight into their life together. short and soft and sweet and everything ever. if you don’t feel like committing to something longer, then out of everything on this list, pls give this one a chance :) and if you like ryo’s writing, go check out the rest of their works too.
6) we love you! by Wings of Freedom
https://sperospara.postype.com/post/6648591 korean - in progress - T rating - ???k
this is a series, and the first work of ten is linked above, so here is the series link. (also postype doesn’t do wc and i am not rounding up each part individually so like uh best guess is 15k+)
although it’s not complete and i didn’t get a chance to re-read everything recently, i think from what i remember it can read as completed. meaning. there aren’t any loose ends, so it’s just a matter of not being everything the author wanted to write. anyway, point is, please don’t let the incomplete status scare you away !!
the story is about ace, a (1st yr) criminal justice major, and sabo, a pre-med student, moving into the same residence together right before the start of the semester without knowing the property has been rented out to both. they clear the misunderstanding fast, decide to split the house between 1st floor and 2nd floor, and begin their first year of living together while attending university.
when i first read this work i flew through over half the series in one day and swept by the rest of the parts relatively quickly following that. something about the author’s writing style makes it all really easy to digest. the setting was a cool change too, since i’ve never read a sa work set in korea before! and just. them. they’re so heartwarming and the way they realize their feelings for each other gradually and forming conclusions about each other and going for it is all really sweet. cannot recommend this one highly enough.

Being a Danganronpa fan these past two years *CONTAINS SPOILERS*
Welp, it’s been two years since I first learned about Danganronpa. I gotta say, I miss the experience I had when I first learned about it. One day, I was browsing the Nintendo eShop when I noticed the switch ports of the Danganronpa trilogy along with Danganronpa S. I’ll admit it, the fan service theme for DRS is what caught my eye, but then I realized, I know someone on Youtube with a playthrough of Danganronpa V3.
As soon as I watched the first chapter in a single day, I didn’t think that despite the fan service theme from Danganronpa S, that Danganronpa was a horror anime. The big twist that Kaede was labeled as the first blackened was just so horrific to watch. It was like midnight when I saw the start of the first class trial, and it was like past 2 AM when I got to watch Kaede get executed (Yes, I’m an insomniac). I was excited the next day because curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to know who was gonna die next. The sad part about it was that Kirumi, who was starting to become my favorite character in the game, would be the next culprit.
But what I really loved about Danganronpa was its gameplay for the class trials. I thought that with puzzle gameplay like that, Danganronpa just stood out from other anime games, because the majority of those kinds of games are Japanese RPGs and unfortunately, I don’t like the RPG genre. Not only that, but the fact that Danganronpa is rated M for its violence and fan service was another thing that got me thinking that I want to play this game. Most anime games are usually rated T, but Danganronpa being rated M seemed more interesting to me.
Anyway, I didn’t try out Danganronpa S until January 2022. At first, I was only into the board game gameplay and was worried I would be bad at the battles because I don’t enjoy playing turn-based RPGs. I eventually got the hang of it, and boy was I lucky enough to beat Monokuma at the end. God, that was a pain in the ass, and if I ever decide to start a new game, I’d probably get my ass kicked. Even so, playing the board game was more fun, and it gave me the nostalgic feeling of wanting to play the Mario Party games I have on my GameCube. Sadly, my GameCube doesn’t work as well as it used to, but thankfully I got Mario Party Superstars which has classic Mario Party gameplay.
But despite enjoying Danganronpa S, at the time, I was scared to play the killing games. I was in complete denial with things like Kirumi’s motive video, and the way NDRV3 ended. I didn’t want to believe that everyone who died really died. I want them to come back to life. It’s too bad there’s no sequel, because I’m one of those fans who’s desperate to know what really happened to everyone who died. At the time, I was only interested in the non-despair AU where the killing games don’t happen. Even if it’s not canon, it’s better than seeing my favorite characters get killed off. I didn’t get the nerve to try the trilogy until around August 2022. I laughed, I cried, there were times where certain characters annoyed me, but I’m glad that I got the opportunity to play the trilogy, and every time I replay them, I only play the bonus modes where the killing games don’t happen. Why? Because it’s better than seeing everyone die, and also because I like dating my favorite waifus in the games.
When I decided to start this blog last year, I was concerned about Danganronpa Headcanons for not posting anything new. I had hoped that they could share the things about this series I wanted to express, but they couldn’t. Looking back at it, I feel like I shouldn’t have shared this blog using the same method they did and now I just don’t know if what I did was alright. For these past two years of being a Danganronpa fan, I tried out this blog, I wrote fanfics on AO3, and most recently, I’ve been going to Tiktok for Danganronpa content and have been chatting with Danganronpa AIs from character.ai.
I won’t get into too much detail about my AO3 since it’s mostly NSFW, but one reason why I wanted to do a rewrite of NDRV3 was because I didn’t like how the game officially ended. At this point, I don’t have the motivation to finish it even though it’s halfway done. Right now, it’s just hard to motivate myself, but I really want to finish it.
Let me just say it does bother me when people say Danganronpa is dead. I love this series for its characters, story, gameplay and fan service. I felt something for the deaths of my favorite characters. If I let go of them, people will think they all died for nothing. I can’t let go of this series. I mean, yes, the fandom has its issues, but I look past that and just focus on what I love about this series. Even if Danganronpa doesn’t get a new installment, it wouldn’t hurt if they made another non-despair spinoff. I don’t even care what the genre will be, I just want to see everyone who died live again.
But I will admit that even though the creators made a new game called Rain Code, I only saw the first half of a playthrough. I stopped because there was a part that involved cross-dressing males and I was thinking, “What, this again?” Even though I like Chihiro, I’m kinda fed up from seeing anime games with cross-dressing males, because there’s a chance that people are gonna make a huge deal out of it in their fandoms. Moreover, I was concerned that Rain Code would also involve things like making fun of someone just because they act like the emo stereotype which felt kinda racist to me, not to mention that I thought the protagonist was kind of a pussy. I don’t think I’m ever gonna get the chance to play Rain Code, even if the Danganronpa creators focus on it more.
I apologize for how long this is, but the point is, even though it’s been two years since I got into Danganronpa, I just don’t know anything anymore. Should I really be making blogs like how Danganronpa Headcanons did it? Should I finish my fanfics? Should I make Danganronpa Tiktoks of my own? I love this series and I don’t want to let go of it, even if I have to deal with things like its toxic fanbase, seeing my favorite characters die, or hearing someone say Danganronpa is dead because Shuichi killed the series (lol). I’ll say it again that I love this series for its characters, story, gameplay and fan service, and I don’t think any other anime game could compare to this one.

This is for you, @percivianne! I hope you like it! I tried to branch out a little ^^
Note, since this is an AU, Komaeda's personality will be slightly different.
Warnings: GN!Reader, Non-Despair AU
Tumblr media
You'd never had a partner before.
Your eyes fell to the white haired boy that sat in the corner of the room, smiling gently as he read through a book. (Of which the contents you weren't sure.)
He had on a forest green sweater with a white button up beneath it.
He accessorized well, you noted as your eyes traced the rings adorning his fingers and the necklaces under his collar.
You wanted him to be your first.
It was one of those crushes where you sort of develop your own perception of someone. You see someone across the room or in the halls everyday and start to fall for them, despite knowing nothing about them.
Maybe it was the way he dressed, or his fluffy white hair that you really wanted to your fingers through.
Or maybe the way he chewed on the end of his pen, or was always smiling. Even when things didn't go his way. Which seemed to be usual for him.
You didn't even know his name, and he always sat alone, but you wanted to get to know him more.
(Your voice of reason told you that there was probably a reason for that. Either there was something wrong with him, or he'd simply rather be alone, but you rarely listened.)
You were too shy to just outright strike up a conversation with him, but you held out the vain hope that maybe he looked at you the way you looked at him.
You looked down at your paper and started to doodle a little picture of his face.
It was the only thing you really knew about him, after all.
__
Your professor had announced a group project, and you happened to be paired with the white haired boy.
It was pure chance, really. While everyone had scrambled to go to people they knew, he stayed in his seat, a loner. And you stayed glued down as well, trying in vain to work up the courage to approach him and running out the timer.
As a turn of luck, you two were the only ones that hadn't found a partner. So, the professor paired the two of you together.
You absently recalled that the boy always seemed to have bad luck.
You wondered if he considered this bad luck too.
Slowly, you turned to stare at him.
He was staring back, a smile on his face.
__
"My name is Nagito Komaeda. It's very nice to meet you!" The white haired boy smiled, standing over you as you put your things away.
You had to refrain from flinching, not from surprise, but maybe...nervousness? You felt the strange urge to run away. Despite this being what you had wanted since the moment you laid eyes on him.
You turned to him regardless, trying to give him the most normal smile you could. Praying he would remain oblivious to your inner turmoil. "Y-Yeah. Uhm...I'm L/N Y/N." You stuttered.
Damn it. Real smooth. He'll be absolutely dying for your number. You thought sarcastically.
"Cool. Can I get your number?" He asked, unperturbed.
You actually did flinch this time.
"Wh...What?" You had to make sure you heard that right.
Can he hear my thoughts??? IF YOU CAN HEAR THIS I DON'T LIKE YOU OR ANYTHING. I- I JUST WANNA BE FRIENDS. YEAH. PLEASE DON'T THINK I'M WEIRD.
If he could hear you, he was doing a really good job of pretending you weren't crazy, and answered your question easily.
"Well, we're gonna be partners, right? This way it'll be easier for us to contact each other." He looked up suddenly. "Oh! Unless you didn't want to work with garbage like me. I totally understand! Ah, to get stuck with someone like me for this project, how unlucky!" He fretted.
"Huh!?" Jeez, talking to this guy had to be bad for your blood pressure.
It wasn't entirely his fault, though. You were pretty high strung at the moment.
"You're not garbage at all, Komaeda! I'm actually..." You bit your lip. "...glad that I'm working with you. I've wanted to meet you for a while." You admitted sheepishly, watching for his reaction.
"Oh wow, really? You're so kind! If that's the case then, we should get started on our project, right?" Komaeda smiled, pulling out his phone.
Maybe this wasn't a total disaster, then.
You tried to refrain from grinning as you pulled out yours.
__
Here you were, in Komaeda's house.
This felt pretty fast, you tried to remember what kind of underwear you put on this morning.
Oh my god, what are you thinking? You've literally known his name for an hour. OH WAIT HE MIGHT STILL BE A MIND READER-
Your eyes flicked over to Komaeda, who was in the kitchen, looking for a reaction from him.
You didn't see one, but you decided to stay on your toes.
He'd asked if you wanted a snack or anything before you both started, and you said sure. He'd commented that he didn't usually cook, but he knew a few simple recipes.
When you realized he meant cooking something and not just, chips, you'd tried to tell him it was fine, but he insisted.
So you got out your computer and started setting up the presentation while he cooked.
His house (it was really more like a mansion, but you refrained from asking questions,) had a pretty open floor plan, so you could see him in the kitchen and he could see you, should he look over.
You stole glances at him, hair tied back and sleeves pushed up as he stood over the stove, and blushed, averting your eyes back to your computer screen.
You could totally see him being a house husband.
Would he cook for you every day after you got home? Or maybe you could help him, coming up behind him while he was cooking and wrapping your arms around his waist, pressing your face into his neck and-
The stove clicked off, and you stood up right as it did, hiding your flaming face in your hands.
"Where is your bathroom!?"
"Huh?" Komaeda looked at you curiously, but smiled not a moment later. "Down that hall, second door on the right."
His bathroom, unsurprisingly, was just as lavish as the rest of his house, but you ignored it in favor of splashing cold water onto your face.
Get a hold of yourself! You're gonna freak him out if you keep acting so...weird!
Your hands shook on the rim of the sink. But he's so cute!
...Handsome? Hot? Wait-
You sighed, rubbing your face and reminding yourself why you were here.
We're supposed to be working on this project. Quit getting your hopes up.
Once you had finally composed yourself and gained the courage to leave the bathroom, you rejoined Komaeda in the living room.
"Alright, what do you think of this as our opening concept?" Komaeda asked, smiling as he showed you his computer screen.
You read over it while you munched on the food he'd made. Turns out he'd gotten quite a bit of work done while you were having a meltdown in the bathroom.
He was pretty good, too. This was a great opening.
"I like it, Komaeda." You nodded. "You did really well! Let me do the next concept..." You sat down next to him and grabbed your computer, not noticing his pink cheeks.
__
Komaeda couldn't believe you were in his house.
You, the one person he'd been wanting to meet since the first time he saw you.
Though he supposed it really wasn't that surprising, given his luck.
Still...he couldn't help but feel nervous. He wanted to impress you.
"Is it any good?" He smiled, and you turned your attention to him immediately.
"Huh? Oh." Before he could respond you nodded, realizing he was referring to the food. "Yeah! I love it! You're pretty good at cooking, Komaeda." You smiled.
He blushed. "Oh, you think so?"
You hummed in affirmation, returning your attention to your computer screen.
God, you were so attractive. Komaeda couldn't ignore the way you dressed, your face, your voice, just looking at you made him feel insecure! How could he ever compete with such beauty?
Komaeda looked down. He'd read a lot of books involving romance, but somehow, none of that information was helping him now.
What use was knowledge of passionate affairs, arranged marriages, and true love's kiss in a situation like this?
Besides, just because he knew he wanted to kiss you, didn't mean he could just...do it. He couldn't be like the bold and charming male lead in those books, taking the shot and finding the person of their dreams.
...But maybe you could?
Ah, but you probably wouldn't ever want to kiss a nobody like him, right? He should just thank his luck that you two were paired together in the first place.
__
You and Komaeda had been working on this project for 2 weeks.
You had both made great progress, and as long as everything goes according to plan, this would be your last meeting.
You'd gotten more comfortable in Komaeda's home at this point, and he seemed more comfortable too.
Still, even after talking to him nearly every day for two weeks you still found you were hopelessly attracted to him.
Seriously, this guy has to have SOME flaw.
Well, you suppose he did seem to have a strange interest in the concept of "hope," but it wasn't really that bad. It wasn't like an obsession or anything.
In the midst of your thinking, you had locked your eyes onto Komaeda, which you hadn't quite realized until he looked back at you.
"Hm? Is something wrong, L/N?" He asked, tilting his head.
Fuck it.
Maybe it was because this was your last day working together, and you and Komaeda might not talk again after this point, or maybe it was just because you were desperate, but something encouraged you to make a move.
"I, uh..." Just say it! "I think you're really attractive."
Part of you felt like you could have said something more heartfelt, but the other part was screaming for even divulging that much, so you bit your lip and carefully gauged his reaction.
He was looking at you with wide eyes and red cheeks.
"Ah, a-ahaha, really? Are you...joking?" He smiled, furrowing his brows.
"Huh!? No! Why w-would I joke about that?" You asked incredulously.
"Oh..." Komaeda said softly, looking at your face carefully.
"Well then, thank you very much!" He smiled, leaning forward to grab your hands suddenly. "That means so much to me! I've never been complimented on my appearance before!" He said happily.
"Really?" You asked in surprise. "But you're so..." You trailed off, blushing again.
"Ah, there it is again!" Komaeda grinned. "Genuine admiration on your features! For me!" He smiled.
"Careful, L/N... I might start to like you even more...hmhmhm." He averted his eyes, face flushing.
You blushed.
Did he just...?
"W-Well good, because I really like you..." You immediately berated yourself for sounding so awkward, but Komaeda didn't seem to mind.
In fact, he looked like he was in euphoria.
"Hm? L/N~ Does this mean that we're in love?" He smirked, face flushed.
"W-We're what!?" You exclaimed, extremely embarrassed at this point.
"Well I..." Strangely, you found you didn't really want to argue with his claim.
"Maybe...we are."
Komaeda hugged you with a pretty smile.

the final member of my talentswap’s tranfem trio (members 1 and 2 are linked on their respective numbers) !!!! here she is, lucky student!sayaka !!!
im worried she looks too similar to her canon - i tried to make her palette a bit more green but i dont think it worked too well twt
also, i’m gonna start reblogging all of my content on this au from my main to @protagchihiro! big posts (such as character posts like this) will stay originally posted to here (my main) but that’ll be my ‘art blog’. everything will probably be originally posted on main first because i’m really bad about actually USING my sideblogs lol
as usual, extra doodle + backstory under cut!
Tumblr media
she’s like, makoto inverted if that makes sense
okok her backstory is a lot shorter and more of an explanation of her luck cycle. but still :
sayaka has almost constant good luck, but it’s little things: the rain happens to stop when she leaves the house, she gets good grades even though she never studies, etc.
however, every few months something bad happens; she gets locked out of the house while her father is out of town, she gets blamed for an incident she was a bystander in, etc. the longer it’s been since the last bad thing, the worse the next one is.
the only major good luck she’s had was winning the hopes peak drawing. directly after, two bad things occur: nobody is available at all to help her pack her things/move into the dorms, and she hits a sudden drastic growth spurt that causes her to outgrow all of her clothes in a span of a week.
this is the only time something like this has happened, but it’s hypothetically how her luck cycle goes. she has constant little sprouts of good luck over a few months, and then one bad thing happens, OR, she gets one big instance of good luck, and then two bad things happen.
this is less backstory and more just character-building, but in the killing game version of this au, her motive video is changed to her tight-knit group of friends from her old school, since she doesn’t have an idol group when she’s not…an idol…
(also, i do have two versions of this swap: non-despair and kg. i cant stand to see my personally developed babies die, though, so i mostly focus on the non-despair vers)

Note
I have copy and pasted the second prompt in case you may want to do it friend!
maybe one about the fact that Chihiro could get into Mondos jacket and wreck him but Mondo cant get him to stop.
YEAH LETS DO THIS BESTIE
THIS HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY INBOX FOR SO LONG I CANT WAIT TO GET IT DONE
Non despair Au where Mondo actually helps Chihiro train
Chihiro woke up today and chose violence
Also quick note, My new personal headcanon is that Chihiro uses the pronouns He/they, so be prepared to see the use of both in this fic!
Pairing: Chimondo (Chihiro x Mondo)
Lee: Mondo
Lee: Chihiro
---------------------------------------------
"Alright man, you ready?"
"Yeah!"
It was around 9pm, and Mondo and Chihiro were in the locker room for their daily, or should I say nightly, training session. Although Chihiro has already come out and told their classmates about their true gender (They all accepted him, thankfully), he still dosen't exactly want to change his wardrobe until he personally feels he's gotten stronger. Which they have, but the cheerio is too modest to acknowledge that of course.
Mondo set down a 25lb dumbbell in front of them.
"This is what we tried to do last week, right? Remember how you couldn't lift it just yet?"
"Y-yes.."
"I believe you've gotten even stronger since then, Chihiro. Think you can do it now?" Mondo said with an encouraging grin on his face.
Chihiro thought for a moment. They weren't exactly sure if they really could after last week, but they really didn't want to let Mondo down and not give it a shot!
"...Maybe!"
"That's the spirit!"
They took a deep breath, and grasped the handle.
"Come on, you got this!"
Chihiro smiled at his friend's encouragement, and at the very next moment, managed to lift it just over his knees for a second before bringing it back down again with a huff.
"YEAH! Look at you bro! You did it!"
"I did it...!"
"I knew you could! You're improving so quickly!"
"Hehe..."
"You know, at this rate, I'll bet pretty soon you'd be able to take even me down!"
"Wha-?"
This caught Chihiro off guard. Would he be able to take on someone as big and strong as Mondo, when he was just...well...small?
"Nah, just joking with you, buddy, don't worry. I'm not gonna fight you."
"Actually..."
Mondo was caught off guard this time.
"Actually what?"
"I..I might be able to actually..."
Mondo raised his eyebrows at his much smaller friend. He supports Chihiro's goal to become stronger, and will of course do anything in his power to help them achieve that goal. But then again, No matter how you look at it, Mondo, at least physically, is obviously the stronger one of the two.
"I was joking, you really don't have to fight or anything like that, I know you're not ready yet-"
"No, I think I can." Chihiro said with a surprisingly confident and slightly mischievous tone in their voice. Mondo was taken aback.
"And besides," They started again. "These nightly training sessions are about challenging ourselves, right? If I never try anything different, how will I get stronger in that sense?"
Mondo smiled at them. This kind of confidence in them was pretty rare, so who was he to refuse and discourage him?
"Alright, as you wish, bro..."
They got ready, or how ever they could, being as the locker room wasn't the best place for a fight.
"I'm gonna hold back though, alright?" Mondo assured Chihiro.
"You don't have to! I can do it!" Chihiro giggled.
"Chihiro, last time I gave a guy all I had in a fight I almost got arrested."
"Ah-...then...yeah! You could hold back-" They answered a little nervously, but jokingly. Mondo chuckled at his response.
"Alright, here we go!"
Mondo lunged at Chihiro, obviously not going to hit him, but they did some kind of maneuver and got out of the way. He freaking disappeared.
"Now where'd you go?" He said, just seconds before he felt a small human latch themselves on his back.
"Hey, what are you doing up th-"
But he cut his own sentence off with a short squeal when he felt Chihiro's tiny fingers poking at his shoulder blades.
"H-hehey! Gehehet off'a mehehehe!"
"To be fair, I did warn you that I could take you down!"
"Wahaharn? Yohohu didn't "wahaharn" me shihihit!" Mondo said, attempting to shake them off without causing harm.
"Well sorry if I didn't exactly "wahaharn" you, but I did keep my word when I said I could beat you!" He teased. Who knew such a shy and rather quiet of a person could be so cruel?
"Thahahat ain't even fahahahir!"
"Well, you are a lot stronger than me, so I don't think that's exactly fair either."
"Whyhyhy you-! Yohuhure the one whohoho wahahanted to fight in thehehe fihihirst plahahace-GAH!"
Mondo was twisting and turning, but still managing to keep his composure enough to be careful with Chihiro on his back. Until they hit a rather sensitive spot on his spine.
"Ch-ChihiHIHIRO! Gehehet ohohof!"
"Am I winning?"
"Grrr...FIHIHINE, YOU WIHIHIHIN! STAHAHAP!"
"Yay!"
Chihiro hopped off his taller friend's back, smiling cheekily but also giving him a much needed break.
"I knew I could win!"
"Yeah, yeah..."

Non-despair AU! And ever since I watched that thirty minute anime clip with Nagito’s perspective on things, I’ve really liked the idea of him being buds with Kazuichi and Fuyuhiko. And Nagito openly talks about his past trauma on a plane so what better way to bond than bonding over trauma? Anyway, I love these three so much. Also Komahina because I love them - Circle
(Also forgot to add this, sorry, but it’s on AO3 too) https://archiveofourown.org/works/33483538
Warning: descriptions of panic attacks, nausea, motion sickness, very mild vomiting (like barely any).
Fuyuhiko always thought Nagito was spouting a whole load of bullshit when he lamented about his talent being useless; he would’ve loved having Ultimate Luck right now.
“Haha! You got the short straw, Fuyuhiko!” Akane crowed. “Tough luck!”
“Wait, no! Can’t we do a best of three?”
“Somebody has to sit with them, man,” Nekomaru said. “You guys are already friends, it’ll be a great bonding experience.”
“I don’t want to bond with them in that situation. Because you all know it’ll be a shit show. That’s why we’re fucking doing this,” Fuyuhiko growled, glaring at each of his classmates in turn. Only two were missing, the pair who’d triggered this whole unfortunate drawing of straws in the first place.
“Why can’t you sit with them, Hajime? Nagito is always hanging off you anyway. And Kazuichi is your friend too,” Fuyuhiko said.
“I’m afraid I can’t, Fuyuhiko.”
“Why the fuck not?”
“Because I didn’t draw the short straw.”
“Go fuck yourself.” Fuyuhiko stomped away, his classmates’ laughter echoing behind him. This class trip was already more trouble than it was worth and it hadn’t even started. He was almost tempted to skip the plane journey with the rest of them and hop on a different flight to Novoselic, just to show them. It wasn’t like he needed Sonia to pay his way. But she’d been so enthusiastic about taking her friends to see her home country, and Fuyuhiko couldn’t think of any way to tell her without causing offence. He couldn’t really say he just didn’t want to be stuck babysitting Kazuichi and Nagito on a flight.
It wasn’t that Fuyuhiko didn’t like Kazuichi and Nagito. Sure, Kazuichi could be a real pain in the ass sometimes, and Nagito would go all weird and self-deprecating if you didn’t watch out, but Fuyuhiko still considered them close friends. But the flight to Novoselic was long. Kazuichi could get motion sickness on a fucking bicycle, and Nagito hadn’t set foot on a plane since his parents died on one right in front of his eyes. There was no way it could possibly go well. Fuyuhiko pictured hour after hour of Kazuichi puking and complaining and Nagito… well, he wasn’t sure what the hell Nagito would do. He’d never seen Nagito get flustered before. Hell, that was much more terrifying. He had to get out of this.
In the days before the trip, Fuyuhiko kept trying to convince his kinder classmates to take responsibility for at least one of the other men. “It’s gonna be impossible to help them both,” Fuyuhiko said. “It’ll be better for them if you help me.”
“You could sit between them,” Mahiru said. “And I’ve already promised Hiyoko I’ll sit with her. Sorry.”
Asking Twogami was a no-go too. “It’ll be more considerate to the other passengers if they’re both in one area,” he said. “To limit the disturbance if they become distressed.”
“I’m the one who’ll be feeling fucking distressed,” Fuyuhiko snapped.
Peko overheard, and came over at once. “I’ll take your burden, young master.”
“No, not you!” Fuyuhiko hated the whine in his tone - and he hated the smirk on Twogami’s face too. “You don’t have to do it. You sit with Gundham and pet his hamsters or something. I… I want you to be happy,” he mumbled, blushing fiercely.
Damn it. He could be as bad as Kazuichi sometimes.
There was no way to wriggle out of it. The morning of the trip dawned bright and sunny, and Fuyuhiko’s ticket set him directly between Kazuichi and Nagito. Fantastic.
At least check-in and security went by reasonably peacefully, the walk to their gate quiet. Only Akane and Nekomaru seemed to be properly awake this early in the day, and they stuck with each other. Fuyuhiko glanced at his two friends. Kazuichi still seemed half-asleep, curled on one of the uncomfortable chairs by the gate, watching the planes take off and land in the distance through the huge windows. Nagito was much more concerning. He was smiling brightly… but he didn’t look happy at all.
“Hey, Fuyuhiko, want to know how a plane engine works?” Kazuichi asked.
“No,” he said, but he sat down with a sigh as Kazuichi started talking anyway. He tuned out after a second, though Nagito looked like he was listening.
“Seeing you talk about your ultimate talent is so inspiring, Kazuichi,” Nagito said - and smiled. That weird smile again, desperate and strained.
“It’s nothing. I just think planes are interesting. From an engineering point of view. I really wish I didn’t have to fucking ride one,” Kazuichi groaned.
“Aha, I can’t help feeling apprehensive too. The last time I was on a flight, both my parents died.” Nagito spoke emotionlessly, as if reciting a shopping list, but that smile was still fixed on his face. “But it’s okay. That bad luck brought me a lot of good luck later on. You just have to have hope that things will work out.”
Kazuichi stared at him, mouth open. “Um. Okay. Sorry.” He caught Fuyuhiko’s eye and mouthed what the fuck? Fuyuhiko wasn’t sure if Kazuichi was just now hearing the story or if he was confused by Nagito’s weird behaviour. He shrugged helplessly.
There wasn’t much conversation after that. You couldn’t really carry on your casual chit-chat right after somebody brought up their dead parents. Fuyuhiko kept an eye on Nagito. He was bolt upright in his seat, his eyes staring straight ahead, hands clasped so tight in his lap his knuckles bleached white. With his pale hair and ashen face, he looked like all the blood had drained out of him completely.
Their flight number was called far too soon, and Fuyuhiko dragged his motley crew to the right aisle, pondering where to put everyone. Kazuichi should probably be on the end if he’d be passing vomit bags to some poor stewardess. Fuyuhiko needed to be in the middle, so that left Nagito by the window. He’d have to keep the shutter pulled down.
Hajime passed them on the way to his own seat, and stopped short when he saw Nagito’s face. He leaned right over Kazuichi and Fuyuhiko, ignoring their complaints and curses, and took Nagito’s hand. “Are you alright? You look… off.”
“Don’t worry about me, Hajime.”
“Your hands are clammy.”
“Ah, I’m sorry. How disgusting for you,” Nagito said, smiling. Always smiling.
“That’s not what I meant… Look, do you want to sit with me?”
“Can we move it along please?” somebody called irritably down the aisle.
“You’re holding up the line, Hajime. Don’t worry about me,” Nagito repeated. Hajime looked like he was worrying dreadfully, but he was forced to move along. Nagito clasped his hands again and fixed his gaze on the seat in front, smiling smiling smiling. It was freaking Fuyuhiko out. He looked like he was wearing a mask and his eyes were the only real part of him, swirling with turmoil.
“Hey.” Kazuichi nudged Fuyuhiko’s shoulder and whispered in his ear. “Are Hajime and Nagito… you know. A thing?”
“Mate, you told me you’ve seen them leave Hajime’s cabin together in the mornings.”
“They could just be having a sleepover. As bros.”
“I don’t think it’s that, Kazuichi.”
“Are you sure? ‘Cause I don’t want Hajime to get a new best friend,” Kazuichi said.
Fuyuhiko sighed. “I think you’re safe.”
There was a pause. Then another shoulder nudge a second later. “So Hajime and Nagito? Seriously? Am I the only person on my own in this class?” Kazuichi muttered.
Fuyuhiko was spared from responding by the flight attendants starting the safety briefing, demonstrating how to use the oxygen masks and the life jackets in case of emergency. He had to admit, it was pretty eerie to think that you could, however unlikely it may be, crash into the ocean or need extra oxygen to live long enough to get to land. He glanced over at Nagito nervously. His arms were now curled across his chest, hands gripping his elbows. His head was bent, a cloud of puffy hair hiding his face. Maybe that was for the best.
“Can you try not to puke as long as possible?” Fuyuhiko whispered to Kazuichi. “I feel like I might have a situation to deal with.”
“I’m never trying to puke,” Kazuichi said, but he seemed worried too, glancing past Fuyuhiko. “Hey, Nagito, you doing alright?”
“Don’t worry about me, Kazuichi,” Nagito said, eerily calmly.
“That’s not the same thing as saying you’re fine, is it?” Kazuichi whispered to Fuyuhiko.
“He’s clearly not fucking fine,” Fuyuhiko snapped.
“Should I ask Hajime to swap?” Kazuichi asked.
Fuyuhiko nodded, but before Kazuichi could even undo his seatbelt, the plane jerked and started reversing out of the gate. Fuyuhiko heard Nagito draw in his breath sharply - then he was the one fumbling for his seatbelt, standing unsteadily.
“What the fuck are you doing, man?” Fuyuhiko yelled, catching onto the back of Nagito’s coat as he tried to clamber over the seats. “Sit down!”
“I’m afraid I need to get off,” Nagito said, voice still calm despite his frantic movements.
“It’s already moving, for God’s sake! Sit down before a flight attendant sees you!” It wasn’t hard to force Nagito back into his seat - he seemed light enough for a strong gust of wind to knock him over - and Souda hastily got the belt fastened again just as the plane rolled onto the runway.
“Okay. It’s fine. You’re fine,” Fuyuhiko gabbled, trying hard not to shout or swear or scream at all his classmates for making him deal with this. “Just sit still and… I dunno, plug your ears. The takeoff part is the worst.”
There was a cacophony of whirring as the engines roared to life and Fuyuhiko would be very grateful for all that noise in a second, because Nagito started to laugh. Dry, hysterical laughter, his eyes over-bright and manic, lips bared in that grisly parody of a smile.
“Has he lost his fucking mind?” Kazuichi asked, sounding genuinely frightened.
“You must really hate me, Fuyuhiko,” Nagito gasped. “To restrain me here… You must despise me.”
“I’m not restraining you!”
“Then let me off.” He locked eyes with Fuyuhiko and for a second the manic grin faded. “Please…”
The engines roared to a crescendo and the plane shot forward so quickly everyone was pinned to their seats with the force, zooming on and on until they could feel the entire structure lurch into the air. Kazuichi groaned softly, shutting his eyes, but Fuyuhiko was far more focused on Nagito. He had his eyes squeezed shut too, but his hand clamped hard onto Fuyuhiko’s arm. Really fucking hard. Shit, maybe Nagito wasn’t as weak as he looked. Fuyuhiko cursed as his terrified companion started digging his nails into his skin, actually drawing blood. The pain prompted Fuyuhiko to try prying the hand loose a little, but Nagito clamped on harder, carving several new scratches. Fuyuhiko didn’t dare attempt again; he’d get his arm cut to ribbons.
When the plane was flying high and the swirling, disoriented feeling had eased, Fuyuhiko checked on both men. Kazuichi had his head in his hands, but he gave a shaky thumbs up when Fuyuhiko prodded him.
“‘M okay,” he mumbled. “Got through takeoff. Gets better when it’s levelling out.”
“Right, good. Try to stay that way, yeah? I’ve got a lot to handle right now,” Fuyuhiko sighed. Nagito was still shredding his arm up, but he could feel one finger tapping for attention.
“What? What do you need? Please, no bullshit, Nagito. I don’t know what the fuck I’m supposed to do,” Fuyuhiko said. He was practically yelling in his panic, and the people across the aisle turned to glare.
It was several seconds before Nagito could gather enough breath to speak. Fuyuhiko saw that awful smile stretch across his face again, like somebody had twisted his frown the wrong way round. “Aha, I’m sorry to trouble you, Fuyuhiko, but I think I might be having a panic attack.”
“What?” Fuyuhiko felt like he was going to have a panic attack too. “Why? What’s going on?”
“I can’t seem to catch my breath. And the cabin has been spinning for several minutes.”
“Jesus Christ! Why didn’t you say anything?” Fuyuhiko hurriedly pushed Nagito’s head down as far as it would go before it bumped the seat in front. “Fucking… think of things you can see or something? Shit, I don’t remember.”
“Five things you can see,” Kazuichi chimed in. “Is he really gonna pass out? Hajime is gonna kill us.”
“I’m gonna fucking kill him for leaving this shit to us! How stupid can you get?”
“Ahh, I’m such a nuisance. If I’d known I’d react in such a shameful way, I’d have been sure to take a seat away from all the Ultimates. Why are you taking care of someone like me?”
“Nagito, shut up, this isn’t your fault,” Fuyuhiko said shortly. “Stop babbling on about ultimates and do the panic attack thing. Listen to Kazuichi, he knows how to do it.”
Nagito did as he was told, working through the grounding techniques with Kazuichi while Fuyuhiko held onto his shoulders feeling helpless. Nagito was shaking so hard it was difficult not to drop him altogether. He didn’t pass out, but even after the grounding Nagito looked far from what you’d consider calm. He was grey-white when Fuyuhiko carefully hauled him back upright.
“Are you okay..?”
The smile came back, though it seemed a lot more tired than manic this time. “Ah… I don’t think so, Fuyuhiko.”
“Well. At least you’re honest. Can you tell me how you’re feeling? Physically, I mean. Clearly I see you’re fucked mentally. And please stop smiling like that, you’re creeping me out,” Fuyuhiko said.
Nagito finally released his grip on Fuyuhiko’s arm, his nails coated with blood. He bent forward slowly, carefully, like he was terrified any sudden movements would send him spiralling again, and let his elbows rest on his knees. “I still feel slightly lightheaded. And nauseous. I’d still like to get off.”
Fuyuhiko examined the long scratches on his arm, sighing and mopping the blood with his sleeve. “Well, you’d have a long drop if you tried to get off now. You should cut your damn fingernails too. I’m going to get Hajime.” He turned to Kazuichi. “Watch him for a minute, okay? I don’t fucking care about drawing the short straw anymore, I can’t handle this.” Fuyuhiko scrambled over Kazuichi’s lap into the aisle, ignoring the flight attendant yelling for him to remain in his seat until the seatbelt signs went off.
“Hey! What did you mean drawing the short straw?” Kazuichi called behind him. Fuyuhiko didn’t look back.
“Hajime!” Fuyuhiko yelled when he was still more than six aisles away from the startled man. “You’re swapping with me!” He lowered his voice when he reached Hajime’s seat, but only marginally. “I can’t handle this. I don’t know how you expected Komeada to react to this shit, but whatever you thought, it’s worse. Way fucking worse. And I can’t help him. So go fucking do it yourself.”
“Well, I was going to swap as soon as the seatbelt signs were off,” Hajime said pointedly.
“I don’t give a shit. Look at my arm! Your fucking boyfriend nearly ripped it off at the elbow.” Fuyuhiko brandished his scratched, bloodied arm, and Hajime looked genuinely shocked.
“Oh my God…” He stood up hastily, clinging to the seats in front as the plane was still slightly off-balance. “I’m sorry, Fuyuhiko. I didn’t expect him to panic so much. He never said anything much about it when I asked.”
“Yeah, well, no offence, Hajime, but you can be as thick as three short planks sometimes. So if he implied anything, I don’t doubt you missed it,” Fuyuhiko snapped, taking Hajime’s empty seat - next to Chiaki, thank goodness. She hadn’t even looked up from her Switch this whole time. Perfect.
“I have taken some offence…” Hajime mumbled, then turned to go back down the aisle, trying hard not to catch the eyes of the other passengers staring like they were all part of a circus act. He was pretty sure the whole class was going to get banned from this airline. Gundham had been in trouble already for taking his hamsters out of their little travelling cage - several times. He was insulted by the insistence of the staff that all pets had to be contained, both by their labelling of his hamsters as mere pets and from their implication that his dark devas could ever be contained.
Hajime followed the sounds of more disgruntled passengers to Nagito’s seat. He was in the middle now, hunched over one of those white sick bags, while Kazuichi awkwardly patted his back. He looked relieved to see Hajime, beckoning frantically. “Come help me! I think he’s gonna spew. Weird that it’s not me for once.”
Hajime sighed, struggling to shuffle past his friends to get to Nagito’s other side, squashed by the window. Nagito didn’t acknowledge him. Hajime could see he had his eyes closed, his face strangely calm and smooth, though his breathing was erratic.
“Hey, Nagito? You hearing me?” Hajime called, tapping the other man’s pale cheek.
“Did I drive Fuyuhiko away?” Nagito said, voice strained. “I’m not surprised. To bother the Ultimates with the problems of an insignificant nobody like me.”
“Dude, shut up,” Kazuichi groaned. “Nobody thinks that. Stop being so weird. Fuyuhiko just doesn’t know how to look after people.”
“Are you sure you don’t want to sit up? I doubt you’ll throw up, you wouldn’t eat anything this morning,” Hajime said.
At that exact moment, almost as if to pointedly prove him wrong, Nagito made a choked retching sound and ducked his head down further, cringing.
“Oookay. Or not. Um. You’re okay,” Hajime muttered, placing a wary hand on Nagito’s hair to keep it out of the way. It was strange hair; soft yet thick at the same time, and it poofed up determinedly no matter how many times Ibuki tried him out with different hairstyles.
The seatbelt signs were now off, so Kazuichi stood up hastily, trying to shield Nagito from the people hurrying up the aisle to the bathrooms. Hajime was grateful, but part of him wished he could switch places with Souda. He didn’t think he’d be having to coach Nagito through something so strangely intimate so soon into their… relationship? They’d never come out and actually said they were boyfriends, not even to each other, but their classmates seemed to think they were a couple.
As Nagito really hadn’t eaten much of anything all day, the actual vomiting didn’t last too long, but the dry heaving continued for several agonising minutes, and the nausea remained indefinitely. But Nagito felt safe to lift him head, his pale cheeks dusted with pink. He smiled shakily at Hajime. “How embarrassing. I caused a scene in front of all these people. You must be lamenting the day you set eyes on me.”
“Stop,” Hajime sighed, taking the soiled bag and handing it to Kazuichi.
“Hajime!” Souda squealed, hastily handing it off to a flight attendant, who offered a bottle of water for Nagito in response. Her smile didn’t slip once. Hajime was impressed by her poker face.
“Drink,” Hajime prompted, forcing the bottle into Nagito’s hands. “I want you to try eating something later too. You’re going to pass out.”
Kazuichi sat down again, glancing at Nagito. “You feeling… okay now? Like as okay as you can?”
Nagito took a long drink of water, eyes blank. Then he smiled again, that strange, forced smile. “I really am pathetic, aren’t I? Causing such a dramatic spectacle over something that happened years ago. I don’t deserve such attention from the Ultim-“
“Stop!” Hajime took Nagito’s face in his hands, forcing him to meet his eyes. Hajime thought he saw something flicker in them, some semblance of an honest emotion. “Nagito, can you please stop trying to act like you don’t have feelings. I know you’re scared. And you know what? It’s okay. It’s completely fucking normal to feel like this right now. I shouldn’t have left you. That was me being dense, and I’m sorry. But you can stop pretending. It’s just me here - and Kazuichi, but he’ll understand too. He’s scared of everything.”
“I am not!” Kazuichi cried, outraged.
Hajime didn’t break eye contact with Nagito, both breathing heavily. Nagito glared back at first, his face twisting into a scowl, but Hajime didn’t falter.
“Let me in,” Hajime muttered. “I know you, for God’s sake. You’re not gonna scare me off. It’s okay to need help. Please.”
Another silence for several long, tense seconds. Then - finally, amazingly - Nagito made a soft frustrated noise, lunged forwards and wound his arms around Hajime’s neck so tightly that for a second Hajime thought he’d messed up so badly Nagito was trying to throttle him.
“Hey, careful,” Hajime said, but his voice was gentle and he didn’t try to pry Nagito off. Nagito let his forehead rest on Hajime’s shoulder, his hair falling to shield his face completely. Hajime snaked his own arms awkwardly around Nagito’s slender waist. He could feel Nagito shaking, feel the warm puff of his breathing against his shoulder. The shaking never eased, but as time passed the breathing seemed to calm slightly.
Nagito didn’t speak as he clung to Hajime for dear life. Not a single word. But Hajime hadn’t really expected him to. This was already a degree of vulnerability that Nagito was completely unaccustomed to showing anyone, let alone his almost-boyfriend, his classmates and an entire plane full of strangers. It was a good place to start.
Kazuichi watched them slightly bitterly. “It’s alright for some. I wouldn’t mind someone to cuddle up to,” he muttered.
“That’s your other talent. Ultimate Third Wheel,” Hajime quipped.
Their row of seats was reasonably peaceful after that, though Hajime could hear the laughter and yelling from their classmates further back. He hoped the sensible members of the group could stop them causing too much trouble. Hajime couldn’t go tell them to knock it off himself; whenever he moved at all Nagito would tighten his grip.
He sat there, hour after hour, until he had to pry Nagito off him for a bathroom break. It wasn’t easy. Nagito fought him and clung on as much as he could, though Hajime explained he’d be back in five minutes.
“Look, cling onto Kazuichi while I go pee,” Hajime suggested. Kazuichi didn’t look overly enthusiastic about that idea, but he didn’t protest.
Nagito sighed. He slowly drew back his arms, and whispered three breathy little words into Hajime’s shirt before he went, perhaps the most raw, vulnerable words Hajime had ever heard Nagito say: “Please come back.”
“I will. Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere,” he murmured.
Nagito shifted shakily in his seat, turned to Kazuichi and lunged at him too, wrapping his arms around his neck. Kazuichi squealed and whined that he was being strangled, but he didn’t shove Nagito away. Hajime almost felt like they were new parents, passing their newborn between them: “I’ll hold him for a bit, you go to the loo.”
There was a queue for the tiny airplane bathrooms. Hajime stood impatiently, wriggling his cramped shoulders and rocking back on his heels; he was glad Nagito seemed to be trusting him more, but he was pretty stiff after sitting in the same position for hours.
Two women ahead of Hajime in the queue seemed to be having an animated discussion about something, and when Hajime caught the word “school” he started to listen properly.
“I don’t know what sort of school they come from, but they’re a strange bunch,” one lady hissed. “There’s an odd boy in the row ahead of me, one of that lot, who has a collections of rodents, all free from their cage! Running all over the seat trays! Well, that’s not very hygienic, is it? But when I told him as much, he gave me the most incredibly rude answer.”
“Young people have such foul mouths these days,” the other lady agreed.
“No, he wasn’t swearing. It was ever so strange, almost as if he was… well, you’ll think I sound silly. But it was like he was cursing me.”
It was a good job for Hajime that the toilet became available and the lady rushed inside, because he was biting his cheeks to contain his laughter. When he’d used the loo himself and gone back to release Kazuichi from Nagito’s vice grip, he recited the story for both of them.
Kazuichi laughed, poking Nagito gently. “There you are, Nagito. No need to worry. No matter how weird we are, we can always count on Gundham to be weirder.”
Nagito didn’t respond, but Hajime saw a hint of a smile - a real smile - on his lips before he buried his face in Hajime’s neck again.
