To honor that we are getting puentalay as dads in the next our skyy 2 episode.

Many of you guys not knowing what is going on in this series and getting confused with the whole different universes and body swapping thing.

✨I am here yet again to try to explain and spoil the series a bit.✨

get yourself something to snack on, a drink and make yourself cozy because here i go again.

first of all a few trigger warnings: major charcater death (the accidents they had), minor character death, singing

...this time i spare myself the trouble going to IMBD to find the summary. And i go to the source with a slight editing from MDL

Sounds pretty darn cool and easy plot to follow right? right? It kinda is. Two dudes have an accident and find themself in a new body and have to work together to get back to their universe. While also keeping the bodies they switched save and not feck up their lives.

I think the most confusing part of this series, ist the bodyswaps and all the characters. Which is much in the first few episodes, and p' nut did an good job trying to via visuals cutbetweens the characters in the same scene.

Lets go over the mainroles and some of the many guestroles we were being feed in this series.

Lets start with the two characters that we are going to follow through this series.

We first meet talay while he is on a job interview for BFB the firm he really wants to work as a colorist for. While he still is in this universe he meets puen twice one time when he waits with his friend gyo on the airport and the other time is when he helps out his other friend joe on a movie set (he plays a corpse).

After his accident while going swimming while drunk he travels universes and wakes up in a hospital in tess's body.

Now we have puen, we first meet him on said airport where is getting of the plane. We gonna see the most cutest but also awkwardest meet-cute to ever meet-cute in a airport bathroom. (Don't look at me like that YOU WILL SEE if you watch IT okay?) He is a famous series actor, that still helps out on smaller movies. thats where he meets talay for the second time and gives him some little acting tips.

After his accident while driving drunk (are we seeing a pattern here?) he wakes up in tun/parkorns body while parkon was on a trip with his two best buddies and scriptwriting team.

Now let me show you the other two characters, puen and talay swap places with in the other universe

This is tess, we don't really get to know know tess maybe in the last episodes and from what talay hears from tess's friends and family.

The things we know is that he is a spoiled rich kid, that loves to go drink with his two best friends kita and fuse (also two spoiled rich kidz) and has a very colorful wardrobe.

This is parkorn, a screenwriter that works a million jobs to keep himself afloat. Because he and his two best friends aou and up are trying to write a script together, so they can show the the firm 26 pictures tess's dad owns, that they can write a good one. Had/has a crush on tess (don't look at me we all know love makes blind)

These two are his best buddies. Up is the one that is good with writing comedy and aou is the one that is good at writing everythingelse

And let us not forget the guest stars in oder of appearance in the show (usually, between one or more per episode. But there are some without any)

and the ones that appeared in more then 3 episodes

Oh we also have a color for each episode it was a wild ride everywekk which color would be the next one. There were so many post trying fo figure it out but now since it's ou and everyting we know them all.

and they delivered with the colors, and put talay in all of these, it was *chefskiss*

And don't let me forget about the fucktons of sponsors this show had. At the time this aired together with the eclipse and to keep the eclipse as free without silly add scenes as possible. Took vice versa the the most of them and BOY where they wonderful, cheesy, cringey but good.

It has a reason i am tagging vice versa post always with lays vice versa.

...this time i'm really going to try to keep the plot short and easy to understand

the series starts with talay in a job interview with BFB where he talks about colors and what color he would associate with the interviewers (he associate one of them with brown like horse shit and well it works he gets the job but still hahah)

talay is kinda bumbed out because of that when he haning out with his friends. Gyo, one of his friends asked talay if he made the gift she needs the next day for her favorite series star.

the next day gyo and talay are at the airport and wait on a gate for said star to arrive. But they are at the wrong gate and have to hurry over to the right one.

We get the most cutest yet also very awkward meet-cute to ever meet-cute. The first meeting of puen and talay and the lama/alpaca bucket hat. (Pls everybody wash your hands after you go to the toilet don't be like talay it only works because puen was struck already)

after this gyo tells talay that joe his other friend needs and extra for his movie, and because he still is waiting for an answer from his job interview, he says yes.

at the movie set, he has to play a corpse "..just be a corpse and lie down" this is also the place where talay meets puen for the SECOND time.

while filming his scenes (and fucking up many times that puen had to give him some tips) with puen talay gets a call from the firm he had a job interview with. AND THEY HIRED HIM 🥳

Cut to talay sitting at a bar with his pc and working on projects he needs to finish before he goes to work, while also getting very drunk

his friends pull him away from his work and drag him to the beach and the sea.

talay swims out a bit to far out and he gets a cramp in his legs and has his accident (i just love how there the screen flips upside down and you are like OKAY its happening)

talay wakes up in a hospital bed and gets greeted by tess's parents the mom is worried and the dad is scolding talay about being very reckless.(oh yeah thats what tess also is very reckless and stupid)

Our dear beloved talay is very confused about all of this and tells these people that he has no idea who they are. Tess's father is not having any of this. The mom cuts in and makes talay fake cry so the father stop scolding him. (it works and is very hilarious)

after this he goes to the bathroom and sees that he no longer is in his body, and that the face that is looking back at him, is no longer his own but a guy named tess. (the cut between talays and tess is soo *chefskiss*)

the first thing he does after he realizes that, is that he tries to run away from the hospital, which he fails.

We meet kita and fuse for the first time, the bring "tess" some alcohol and tell him to drop the amnesia act. We get some info about the three of them, they are all no golden sons and that they "don't finish university soon" "because they would have to take over the family businesses, damn boring"

talay asked why there is no google and why he can't find the firm he is he as talay was hired for. Fuse tells him that there is only qooqle and that the only movie company that there is, is 26 pictures that tess's dad owns.

we meet a nurse that knows what happend to talay, because they whent through the same thing. This nurse was a male nurse in their universe and their name is dol. Dol promises talay to bring him to a place were he will get answers to all of his questions.

2 weeks later talay gets picked up by dol and they drive to the place dol was talking about. They encounter two men in a car that have a sign on their car that says "JUST MARRIED"(AkkTheo are married now) forcebooks guest-apperance.

They talk about what changed and what is still the same in their universe.

They enter a building where the association of thai citizens in the alternate world is located. You can only enter the association when you know the password. The password is some kind of line from a bl drama (the girlies love 2gether and are sarawat stans and most of them are from him)

We meet joob the head of the associaction, she will explain to talay how to get back to their universe

find the person that matches you (your portkey) >> do the thing you need to do here >> dream >> go to that place >> get back to you universe

talay tries to find his match/portkey with zero success (he tried once standing in some kind of cafe with a shirt that said IF YOU KNOW ME SAY HI)

talay decides to look for his match in tess's surroundings, he finds a yearbook with a few pictures in it. One picture catches his attention, it's tess with another boy named pakorn, he reads the name of the person and tries to call him on the spot (talay you can't just call people you might not be that close to anymore)

fuse and kita beg talay to go out drinking, the bring him back to the club where tess got beaten up. Talay gets more infomation on what happend to tess that night, that someone nice called an ambulance for him.

talay wants to know who it was and kita and fuse try to bribe the barworker to let them look over the security cameras.

It was pakorn that called the ambulance for tess, talay is getting surer that pakorn is going to be the person thats going to be his match.

talay meets up with a friend from tess's highschool that knows pakorn. This friend looks like talays friend joe from his universe but his name here is parmote.

parmote explains to talay why he calls pakorn tun and after talays asks him where he could find pakorn/tun and parmote gives him a stack of business cards. And that today he is playing at a friends bar

talay heads over to said bar and learns three things:

counting starts at the thumb with one, if you hold up your pointer finger it means two.

that pakorn can't sing.

and beer is more expensive as wine.

talay tries to talk to pakorn, but he keeps running away from him, sad and exhausted he goes back home, where tess's big brother is waiting for him. The brother begs him to just atleast show up for work at the filmmaking company. Talay jumps at this opportunity.

because he meets pakorn here again, who is trying to sell a script he is writing with his friends. They argue and pakorn leaves again

..off to episode 2 (yeah all this was episode one..but you need this i think)

talay is really bummed that pakorn is still avoiding him and tries to get help from the dol and joob. Dol tells him that it it's like when you are hitting on someone, that you need to keep pushing

thats what talays does, he shows up anywhere pakorn is and tries to talk to him. At one of these events he meets parmote again and he tells talay that tess once hit on and dated someone pakorn liked and that this maybe the reason is why he avoids him.

talay still tries to figure out if pakorn also is a universe travler but he is walking against a wall.

he follows pakorn to a bar were he meets up with up and aou and is about to tell them that he didn't sell their script. Talay jumps in and tells up and aou that pakorrn is wrong and that he did sell the script to the firm.

we learn how the three of them became a script writing team, all three went there separately and got told off from tess's dads firm because their scripts were lacking things. The meet there and decided to show them that they can write a good script together.

talay talks to dol that he is very sure parkorn is the one that matches him and also is a universe traveler. Dol reminds him that he has to test if parkorn is one of them and if not that talay has to move on.

but pakorn and his friends go on a month long trip to finish the script. The left their phones with the their barowner friend.

there are a few timeskips in here the story continues after this month, we see talay with tess's friends kita and fuse in a club, they tease him because he acts as if he got dumped.

talay meets the girl that he "stole from" pakorn, turns out he got dumped by her because she found out that pakorn liked tess and not her.

talay goes back to the bar and he tries to drink his sorrow away, the barowner tires to cheer him up that he could request a song. And he writes a whole ass letter on that little piece of paper on how he lost all hope of getting back.

as he gives the letter back to the owner, up and aou enter the bar with pakorn in in tow. But it is no longer the pakorn we meet because it's puen now.

puen plays a the song miracle, that talay and him only recognize because it's from their universe.

we learn that pakorn had a car crash and thats how puen entered the universe. (trust me when i saw this for the first time i was HUUh)

puen and talay get to talk and both are very relived when they find out that they are both universe travelers. Talay promises puen to tell him all about this univerese and how to get back later.

talay asked puen what hes done for a living in the other universe, puen tells him that he was an actor but that he is not telling him his real name and that he should call him tun. And when referring to the body he is they should say pakorn so they won't get confused. (again when you watch it the first time your head goes why what okay? ?)

puen asked talay, if he ever runs into problemswhere he should go and talay (yeah he drunk) tells him that he can come to him. (at this point puen is already GONE, SIGNED SET DELIVERED HE IS TALAYS)

the next morning talay wakes up and finds an half nacked puen in his bed (don't worry nothing happend yet the only thing that happend was a whittle kith) he is only half naked because the room is to hot

talay was so drunk the last night, that he even tried to kiss puen and hoped thats how they could go back to their universe (puen.exe reall stopped working there)

they eat breakfast and have a little conversation, where talay still tries to get puen to tell him his name. But he fails miserably

we get this legendary scene the "to be my wife, you mus endure"

and also we get the "You know what the first thing i going to say to you in our universe? Dang!"

they go to the association and fill out a little form to find they match faster. Talay is not happy about that because he thought what when i finds Tun he is done and done. Because he believes puen is his portkey.

They fill out the form and puen jokes around with his answers to cheer up talay a bit. After that they part ways for a bit to live their "new" lifes.

Talay gets a call from dol, telling him the matching is done and gives him a location where he should go. Puen also shows up ath the same location as he (trust me we all went omg yeeeeeeeeeees they haaaave to beeeeeeeee its faaaate seeeeeee)

We get the first romantic ad scene sponsored by the sugarfree icetea brand.

because both of them thought their are their matches they run away from the meeting point and their real matches can't find them (enter milk and loves guest apperance)

both puen and talay are not feeling it with their "matches" and ask dol for another test if they are the right one. They find a little maze. Dol tells they all have to go through the maze at the same time. And if you and your match find eachother at the same exit. They are your match/portkey.

milks and loves characters find eachother and the same exit. And so do Puen and Talay (the whole time when they are all in the maze you go like pls pls pls)

we find out that milks (som) and loves (pear) character clicked and are eachothers match.

the two boys agree go scouting for locations for the maincharacter to hang out. We get the famous talay draws puens face scene. (that up later uses as their logo for their team)

they meet up with aou and up to discuss the ending of the movie they are writing, they decide on an open ending. Puen has to write the synopsis and the tagline for the movie, but he has no clue how to do that. Talay offers him help but puen declines, he can figure it out

5 days later and they have to present the script to tess's dad, but puen is missing and he has all the files. The boys try to reach him but no one can. Right before the meeting is chancled someone calls up, it's the police station udn guess who is there? A very drunk puen.

aou, up and puen have an argument about the promise they made with eachother when 26 picture first dind't buy their scripts.

talay asked puen what wrong with him and puen just answers, "i'm living my life the best that i can, as you suggested!" So he did what he never could do when he was an actor. Talay interrupts puen to correct his scentens " that he should live the best life of the body owner. Not spoiling himself."

Puen tries to apologize to his friends but he gets no reaction from them. He finds some notes that tells him more about the promise they made.

after a talk with talay, puen tries one more time to apologize to aou and up via a window. AND IT WORKS (i am still asking WH IS GONNA CLEAN THAT UP Heeee?)

talay and puen go on another scouting "date", where they follow a couple on their date, where puen and talay are trying to figure out if these two are for real are on a date. (these two totally are on a date.. i mean both couples were) We also get a little KFC ad scene.

they finish off their presentation at tess's condo and we get a another ad scene this time it's our favorite queen niveau acne care and it's in a bathtub. We get the cute " ..this can be used to wipe away dust, i should use it on your heart" line

they boys get to the new meeting for the script at 26 pictures, and they sell the script to tess's dad.

the next time we see the boys all together again is when they meet up at a restaurant. And they try to figure out a name for their team. They all come to an agreement to call their team "FRIEND CREDIT" up even rented a "studio" for them (it's uptop of the very restaurant they were just eating at)

another timeskip it's 2 weeks later now, they boys are looking over the script and try to figure out something that the mainlead says to his love interest. Puen as the true sarawat stan he is quotes " you don't have to like me very much, just keep your heart open" line and everyone except talay are thrilled with this and they wanna use it in their film (well..puen is right, 2gether does not excist in this univerese..so there is no copyright stuff going on there)

we get a puen tries to make talay blush scene, but in the end talay makes puen blush

while driving talay home after a suprise test he had to take, the two of them find the perfect location for their film ending scene and also for their own love story.

they talk and joke for a bit, and then puen lets out the "..maybe the key to finding your portkey is love?" and "if you have to fall in love to get back" and "what if it's me" and "HOW ABOUT WE FALL IN LOVE WITH EACHOTHER???" (boy is already lost god save him)

Up and aou show up at the the location and up presents them their new folders with the drawing talay did of puen.

after that puen meets kita and fuse for the first time, fuse tries to bribe him for an acting job and kita and fuse try to make puen drunk, but talay is taking all of the drink for him and is in the end the one being drunk.

they end up at pakorns/puens flat, and its time for talay to tease puen for some mangas and a pair of pink shorts.

we get a cute little chocopie ad scene

puen has to be a photographer at a wedding of friends from pakorn. He invites talay along with him, when it's time to catch the flowers it's puen that catches them.

puen admits to the mc that he is infact hitting on someone, but that this person plays very hard to get while looking with the biggest hearteyes at talay.

puens hitting on talays era beings,but he always says after doing anything IT IS FOR THE SCRIPT which makes talay sad and confused. They have a huge argument and puen runs away and hides

talay after a talk with dol finds puen at ther special location we get another kiss

FRIEND CREDIT finally start filming their first movie

puen meets an actor friend from their universe named pang (played by namtam) at the association. For a few episodes talay thinks that pang is puens portkey.

They promise eachother if any of them find their portkey they would still go back together. (we get the cute puen runs away like a little girl scene)

at the set of their film puen and talay see snow in thailand for the first time.

The film the boys wrote premieres and everyone is full of hope and excitement, just to get just negative comments and critics. (gun appears as third here but he is the only nice one everyone is missing khai)

the group is devastated after this and they disband for a while.

puen has a very livid daydream of him and talay living together (because he can't keep the flat he eh pakorn lives in)

talay visits puen at pakorns parents home (we see puen with an shavingcream beard it's hilarious) to play him some music and to tell him that he misses him (we get the "do you have any idea how long 12,960 minutes i wated for you felt like?" these boys and their times i am still yelling)

aou and up also sho up at pakorns home and they decide to try it one more time as a screenwriting team. (because they disbanded up sold the old studio they had, but to our boys LUCK there is an old RV in pakrons parents garden, that they just fix up and use as a studio then. Very convenient)

talay starts to fall for puen

joob and dol ask talay and puen if they could film a guide video for the accsociation. After a cute kfc scene we get informed that joob passed away, because the other person in their universe died.

the boys meet at the new studio to discuss, what the new script should be about. Talay invited peng along to help them (And also because talay decided that puen should go back faster so he invited peng along so puen and her get to know eachother better and that puen can dream. Which is so hecking stupid but it's talay and he only wants puen to be happy and not to die)

they are going with a romantic NOT comedy (seriously i really would want to watch that movie okay?)

talay drops the "if we were eachothers portkeys we would be already back by now" (..yeah but you both haven't done the falling in love thing yet so you are very wrong boy)

talay is feeling really down when puen ditches him to do other things.

he visits puen again and we get the infamous carbo-narak scene ( i tell you tinn from msp watched this and made this his whole thing i bet he has a puen picture somewhere where he is like " we are really in it huh puen-poster?")

FRIEND CREDIT presents tess's father the new script and he is very happy. To celebrate this they boys go on a little trip

each of the writes down three wishes to hang it on the tree they want to achieve.

we get an amlost kiss between talay and puen, but it gets ruined by puen by asking if he can kiss him. (i am still to this day confused by this)

after a night of sulking talay visits puen again and tells him that he is going to withdraw from FRIEND CREDIT (this hecking felt like a brutal break up EVEN THO THEY WEREN YET TOGETHER)

talay gives tess's dad finished scrip of the movie, only to get told that there is not enough money to make the movie.

he find out that puen and peng are not eachothers portkeys

talay goes looking for puen and finds him infront of 26 studios yelling at the security guard. They hug and make up (the security guard behind the door must be like ohhhh 👀 🏳‍🌈!!)

they boys need to figure out on how to make money for their new movie, talay tries selling tess's clothes on an headbook live (because i doesn't want aou,up or puen to sell things) kita and fuse are worried about talay because of this live. They say the are going to invest in their movie, if they can act in it ofc.

fuse tries to bribe aou to rewrite the role fuse is playing, but aou is not having it. (fuseaou my beloved)

they find a new director, when they meet him it turns out it is an old highschool.."friend" named mek (played by perth) of tess and pakorn. But said director is not on good terms with tess

mek tries to ruin the movie the boys tries to film out of revenge (just because tess ditched one role in a movie)

talay confesses to puen that mek looks like someone he liked in highschool. But puen is like i don't fear that he will take you away from him (talay and mhok almost held hands okay?? haha but also there will be jealousy)

Mek is making talays job as a producer really hard, makes him get an specific cameraman, tells him that they should edit the script again etc BUT he makes it work somehow. What makes mork real happy

fuse tries to get talay fo force aou to rewrite his character dr wayu (HA enchante called the soccer boy now is a doctor), but talay explains to fuse why that is not happening, because aou but alot of work into it.

while figuring out which cat to cast for the main lady, the encounter a delivery guy that totally looks like tay tawan and cast him for a role their movie.

mek confesses to puen that he secretly liked tess in highschool, and that "these feelings are coming back" (sad jealousy era puen)

mek wants to scout an art gallery with tess alone for a certain scenes of the movie. Puen also shows up to this scouting and soon feels like the third wheel. he goes moping in a dark galleryroom but gets found by tess all is good we get their BIG DAMN KISS AND LOVE YOUS IN THE END (hey boyfiends now)

mek sees them kiss and confesses that he already knew that pakorn aka puen had feelings for tess, but that he is suprised that tess aka talay also feels the same

they go out with aou and up to watch a movie and after that we get the pillow scene

fuse asked aou if could take him to the vet clinic so he can study his role better. Richboy works for a day shannanigans happen (mix plays the vet in question)

they celebrate pakorns birthday

talay and puen talk about going back to their universe, but puen let it slip that he wants to stay in this universe as long as he can (sad backstory time...but we won't get it from puen but peng is gonna tell talay)

they get in a fight about it, them being angry at eachother is also making aou and up tense and makes them also fight. (but don't worry they all make up in the end)

time for puens sad backstory time

time for fuse and aou to have a fight and a hurt animal bring them back together to work together to save the dogs live. (and yes the removing of a shirt was necessary)

talay is searching for puen to apologize and make up with him, but he can't find him. Up tells him were to find him.

puen is hiding on a island surrounded by water, talay is having a slight panic attack while putting his feet in the water because of the accident that got him here. but puen finds him and helps him to said island and they make up there.

back at their studio they celebrate their first anniversary of FRIEND CREDIT they give eachothers gift. Talay gifts them all buckethats..and well puen now realizes who his talay is (but talay still is in the dark on who he is loving, great riiight?)

time for some adopting a pet together with fuse and aou (they call the dog lucky and it's soo cuteee) and we get this gem of a scene

their second movie premieres and this time the critics and the fans love the movie (puen and talay read them whil being snugled up in a bathtub like WHAT?)

talays world gets more and more pinker each day (as we know he HATES pink)

IT'S THE COLOR PINK THAT CONNECTS THEM THEY ARE EACHOTHERS PORTKEYS (sorry i am watching the scene right now and i just ahh the music the clips i am crying)

they say goodbye to dol in advance (is very emotional okay..bring tissues)

their new movie is gonna be shown not only at one film festival but two!

they go on a trip to the film festival, the night before they leave puen says goodbye to pakorns parents (next round of tissues)

after the festival is done, thegroup all read out all the wishes they had written down before puen ofc only lets talay read his

puen and talay say their goodbyes to their friends aou, up, fuse and kita

talay and puen sit together at an lake and talk, right before puen can tell talay his name, the later falls asleep.

talay DREAMS and is hyper to tell puen..but it's no longer puen its pakorn again

to conclude the last two episodes of vice versa in a short form:

puen wakes up in an ambulance and is hellbend to find talay, he finds him but it is still tess in his body.

talay finds out about puens name and is hellbend to get to the place he dreamed off but the tide his making him wait over a month to get to the place he dreamed off.

puen visits tess just so he can look at his talays face (ohm in glasses is always a treat)

talay finally makes it back and finds out how tess fecked up his life. He is no longer a colorist for BFB, he was puens assistant but tess fucked it up also (what do we learn tess sucks..as talay and 90% as himself too)

talay begs BFB to take him back as a colorist and finds out that his boss is also a universe traveler. (they take him back ofc but on probation) He also has apologizes to his friends for whatever tess did to them.

talay gets some tickets for a movie premiere where puen also is. But he leaves before he gets a chance to talk to him. While getting some tim hortons he catches some of the livestream from the premiere he was on and hears puen talk about him and that he hopes to find him again.

talay goes to their speical location the greenhouse cafe and we get the dang scene

you can guess what they did next okay (even tho puen tried to pull and ..ohh i am not puen move but yeah they banged can't insert any more pictures BUT IMAGINE THE FISH GIF RIGHT HERE)

they eat breakfast and talay tries to make the conebread out of normal bread (I WANT TO SEE THE REAL THING TOMORROW ON TALAY FIGURING OUT HOW TO MAKE THEM HIMSELF)

puen is so in love with talay that he for e day forgets that he is a celebrity and that there a paparazzis he gets in a little drama of "puen kissing his old assistant?? puen LIKE MEN???"

to save puens career talay denies that they are together, but puen ain't having it and with the help of a video of a drunk talay explaining why he did it. THEY ARE FINALLY TOGETHER AND HAPPY

we get some "what is maybe happening over in the other universe" montage.

and talay finds their up and aou in their universe and befriends them.

I think thats it thats the PLOT of vice versa..okay with a few little things missing so you HAVE to watch it.

I hope this masterpiece of a series makes now a little bit more sense to any of you. Or if you are now even more confused. (if so then i would recommend to have this open while watching it)

i love vice versa and i am still very glad it was my first real real BL i watched (i am not counting kinnporsche) and if i every get the chance to recommend a show it will be definitely be this show (@petrichoraline yes i will say this show and not futs as you would have thought! ha ❤😘)

a problem i’m having with MoM + wanda stans is that it was written by michael waldron (who wrote that idiotic sylki plot) & ppl are going to use that as an excuse as to why wanda’s character was “ruined” even though she’s consistently been shown to be a very unstable character capable of mass destruction since she was introduced. like i do think michael waldron made a lot of dumb fucking plot choices that don’t make any sense but also he picked up wanda’s story where wandavision left off, so... anyway, spoilers and lots of rambling under the cut

so first off, her lack of control wrt her powers. when pietro dies in aou, she sends out a shockwave because she screams. she (albeit accidentally) blows up that building in civil war. vision in infinity war is the reason she enslaves an entire town out of “grief” or whatever because initially she didn’t realize what was going on, and even then it took her far too long to let the innocent people go because she wanted her fake little family to stay together. and now in MoM, the darkhold is bringing to the forefront what anyone with a brain already knew: wanda maximoff is dangerous. she will do whatever she wants to get her way, and the darkhold lets her do so almost completely unchallenged (see the way she rips apart CAPTAIN FUCKING MARVEL on top of the other “illuminati” members).

(i also need to mention here that giving wanda, a character who is jewish in the comics, a plot line revolving around kidnapping america in an attempt to use her to get to au wanda’s kids, is wildly antisemitic. not that that’s anything new with the mcu, considering they also had wanda and pietro willingly join hydra.)

none of her arguments even make sense!!! wong literally says “you could just… ask america to send you to another universe” and her response is “well what if my boys get sick??” like ??? as if giving unrestrained multiversal travel to the most unstable magic user in the mcu is worth the risk bc one of her kids might get cancer or something. get a grip, wanda.

not to mention the fact that she’d have to kill her own alternate self in order to even exist in that universe, and the fact that those boys would never be hers. HER twins were a figment of her imagination brought to “life” by her magic. they weren’t real, and the experiences she had with them are not universal. trying to pretend she’s the mother of these au twins was never going to play out the way she wanted. and btw what about vision??? where is he in all of this?? he was the catalyst and he wasn’t mentioned or shown a single time.

anyway, her entire plot line based around being a “mother” is just ridiculous, honestly. “i’m not a monster. i’m a mother.” “all mothers create their children out of magic.” like what are you people talking about. WHAT are you saying. no real mother is going to kill a child to get what she wants, and to have wanda say TO HER KIDS FACES “i would never hurt someone!” when they JUST saw her choking the life out of america… did anybody read this script after waldron wrote it? did he just plug some prompts into ai dungeon and let it run wild? jesus christ

and then you take into account the aos darkhold giving aida the knowledge to literally build her own human body and it’s like. well why the fuck didn’t wanda just do THAT? if the darkhold is the same in every universe (as basically confirmed by wanda destroying every darkhold ever by collapsing the temple ((which was stupid as fuck))), there’s no reason this spell couldn’t have been used. she could have built her kids exactly the way they were except they’d be human this time. but then they’d have to bring in ghost rider and god FORBID it be robbie reyes like the aos universe because then they’d have wanda kill him off like she does with sara and maria rambeau. because she just can’t get enough of harming/killing the characters of color she comes in contact with (monica rambeau i’m sorry they treated you like that in wandavision). regardless, the solution to all her problems was in the same goddamn book she’s been reading, but instead she decides to go hunt down a child with the intent to kill her.

but i’m not done yet!! there’s also the “wanda is being held hostage by the scarlet witch in her own mind” plotline that is IMMEDIATELY fucking thrown out the second the scene is over. professor x sees “wanda” amidst the rubble of her destroyed childhood home and is like “i can help you out of here,” only to get his neck snapped by “scarlet witch.” personally, as this is NEVER REFERENCED AGAIN, i think it was all a ploy by wanda. i think she was trying to throw him off his guard, and it worked. because she’s massively overpowered and everyone else is nerfed. but that’s just a theory. EDIT: i’ve been informed that this was a scene most likely regarding au wanda who was being possessed by 616 wanda but i’m leaving it in for anyone who had the same thought as i did. i feel like wong said something abt wanda being possessed by the scarlet witch at one point but yknow. brain fuzz.

anyway, her “sacrificial” scene at the end means nothing when she isn’t shown as having any real remorse over what she did. she never even fucking apologizes for repeatedly almost killing america??? she gets the shit knocked out of her by america, has a weird “emotional” scene with her au self, and decides for some reason to tear down the temple afterwards. there’s no real reconciliation with what she’s done, there’s absolutely no consequences as of yet because there’s no way in hell she’s really dead. she never acknowledged that she did anything wrong, she just told corpse strange that no one would ever use the darkhold again. that last scene wasn’t a “heroic sacrifice” or a “redemption arc,” it was a suicide.

in conclusion. the horror aspect was very fun, i liked america, strange was fine (he was NOT a hypocrite in using the darkhold btw considering he was trying to save the child wanda wanted to murder + save the entire multiverse & is suffering the consequences), i think it’ll be fun if he turns into a villain next, and while i fully believe wanda’s arc was continued properly from the end of wandavision, she’s really fucking dumb in this because the plot makes no sense compared to the grand scheme of the mcu. also lizzie olsen does not have the range for the rage wanda was supposed to be showing in the scene at kamar-taj. the end.

Anyone else unsatisfied with episode 11 of Vice Versa? This is gonna be a bit of a thought dump.

- my low key favourite thing about this episode was seeing Nanon on my screen again, Tun seeing Up and Aou again was super cute. But no conversation with Talay? No ‘hey dude btw while you were gone we merged our friend groups and produced two films, you’re now officially a screenwriter and me and the guy in your body have been dating so that’s a little awkward.’ Nothing? He just went right in and joined the group and they left Talay behind?? No one questions it?

- Jimmy’s acting in the ambulance was super good, he looks scared and shocked and it was a really great scene. But also chill dude you can get out of the ambulance at the hospital.

- one of the really disappointing things to find out is that while Puen and Talay spent two years discovering they were each other’s portkeys and getting closer while changing Tun and Tess’s lives for the better, it seems like, for Tess at least, he spent the time wasting away Talay’s life. Not learning his lesson or growing up or anything. I know Tess and Tun didn’t have a Dol to ask questions or to understand the travelling but I was expecting some kind of parallel between their stories. Also doesn’t explain why Tun switched back, why did he dream if he didn’t find his portkey? Was it because Puen did?

-Really upset that no one looks for Talay at the beach for a month, nothing explaining to their friends why he’s there, no scenes of them worrying about him. No understanding for any of Friend Credits why suddenly Tun doesn’t care about Tess. It puts a bitter taste in my mouth that he was there for a whole month just so the tide could lower? It just made them miss each other it wasn’t because of Talay being emotionally ready or not to go back or anything more meaningful than that.

- I do get a little happy over the fact that Tess probably woke up by himself on an island with no friends waiting for him. Serves him right for being selfish and not caring about Talay’s life. I can only hope there was some unshown scene of Puen explaining what Talay did for him and his life but from what we’ve seen of Tess it seems like he’ll probably just flush that all away and go back to his old ways.

-which just makes it sadder that I thought that Tess & Tun and Talay & Puen were supposed to be parallels and that Tess and Tun would be falling in love and becoming each other’s portkeys at the same time. Not just stagnantly living lives they don’t own.

- Talay’s return scene was really good acting from Sea, him waking up and realising he is home (putting on the glasses!), seeing his mom and brother was really sweet

- the whole thing with Talay not being able to get to Puen only makes sense angst-wise. As if Puen wouldn’t have made it as easy as possible for Talay to contact him but I don’t mind a delayed reunion for the angst, at least it makes the reunion sweeter

- Tess even ruined Talay’s friendships? wtf Tess. And they just accepted that he was a different person for two years? If my friend started acting really different after a near death experience I would make sure they go see a therapist. Not just leave them until they ‘change back’

-I called it that the coffee shop was gonna be the place they reunited but that wasn’t a tough thing to guess.

- coffee shop guy, biggest ally of 2022.

- Puen not questioning how who he thinks is Tess found this coffee shop or why he is in there about to cry?

- the reunion was really cute I have to admit. Puen’s face when he heard Talay say Ai’dang was amazing.

-coffee shop guy on the phone: ‘yes I know I’m supposed to be closing the shop but there’s two guys in there having an epic reunion. Of course I’m not going to interrupt them, what am I, a homophobe?’

- ending scene and sponsorship scene were pretty cute, the Lotus flower throwback was nice.

- I’m worried for the next episode, I’m not sure if they can or will fix the issues with this one or what’s going to happen. I hope if they switch again that Tess doesn’t screw up Talay’s life and job or else he’s gonna have to catch these hands

- I hope Aou and Fuse are doing ok, even if they didn’t check on their friend for a month. Aou looks upset in the episode teaser, I wonder if it’s at Tun or Tess.

This is the longest post I’ve ever made but I had to put my thoughts somewhere. Dm me if you have any thoughts about it because I clearly need someone to talk to about these shows. Ultimately, I was disappointed by the interactions between Talay and Tun, by Tess’s character and generally unsatisfied with parts of the story from this episode. I’ll start praying now that episode 12 will bring it all together nicely. Props to the actors.

Vice Versa ep 9

As I said in the tags for last week's post, at this point I don't really have much to interpret...it's more that I'm *shaking you vigorously* saying 'hey look at this isn't it cool!'. It's clear the show is using pairs of colours (red/blue, black/white, yellow/green) - with most likely red/pink for Puen and blue for Talay - as well as brown to reflect seriousness and orange for playfulness. Yellow and green seem to show up more often with the Friend Credits group rather than Tess' friends but often all these colours are used in varying amounts in different scenes.

However, in ep 9, I think only the below scene had all the colour-pairs plus brown...so I wonder if this means this is the start of the end of their friendship (as they know it). (btw, I think Up must have multiple pairs of the same socks rather than just five that he cycles through…surely!...since he wears the same ones so often. Rainbow socks my beloved).

What this ep did do is utilise shades of pink/red and blue/purple together with Puen and Talay's scenes...perhaps indicating the shift to them as a couple and their imminent return to their own universe. The first being right at the beginning in the amazing office location, with the black table wall/shelves, red chairs, pink/purple wall behind, and pink furniture. I loved how the camera started on Mek but then gradually panned round to Puen and Talay and the colour.

Then, when Puen is describing the scene between Pitch and Toey, the background is a deep red behind him in his dark blue top (and with the black wall). I can't wait to see this morning scene between them for real... (JUST LOOK AT JIMMY'S FACE!)

And I'm going to jump to the end for a moment because this ep is bookended with the pink and blue colours.

The other time it's used is in Pakorn's home, first just before the birthday celebration, when the painting is lit blue alongside the pastel peach of the wall further away, and then later when the painting is lit pink and the area above the sink is blue.

I had wondered if the abundance of pink/red might have been because the ep included Puen's birthday and Talay going to Pang to find out more about Puen...and of course there is red and pink in the scene for Puen's birthday as well as a lot of brown, and with Talay in a minty/sea green (I come back to this colour again later)…

And of course all those pink...sofas?...in the office for the conversation about Puen's life in their own universe. (Note the blue globe which wasn't in the office scene earlier in the ep - creating the red/blue pair with the seats).

Interestingly, after the above scene, pink and red were pretty much non-existent during Puen and Talay's estrangement - basically for the whole of part 3. First, we got the second vet scene, where I waited with bated breath to see what was on Fuse's t-shirt...and squealed when there was NOTHING. On one hand, it could be because it was a uniform - both he and Aou changed clothes after meeting Mix - but on the other hand it could also be because Fuse is 'changing' under Aou's influence...and therefore will drop the slogans from his shirts...as I mentioned in last week's post.

I'm going to jump forward here to mention that in the preview for ep 10, Fuse is also wearing a shirt without a slogan on...but then again, Aou also has no vest and Up is not wearing a hat... I'm wondering, therefore, if it means that they're all changing. Or that they've kind of homogenised since the two friend groups have obviously joined together. They all have similar colours and styles at a time when they're all together for potentially the first time, so maybe it's just showing how they're all 'growing up'... (It's going to be so weird when Tess and Pakorn return to their own universe and into this friendship group - maybe the talk of them supposedly being together will trigger Tess' 'oh' moment and he and Pakorn will get together!)

Going back to Aou and Fuse...of course when I first saw Fuse in this week's ep I got excited about what his t-shirt would say... Is the "almost" because he almost gave Aou his hand? He almost showed obedience? Is it because they're almost becoming friends...or even a couple? Crumbs. We got crumbs I tell you and I lapped up every one.

After the second vet scene, Talay goes to meet Up in the cafe...and I don't have much more to say about this other than it's aesthetically FANTASTIC.

Also the black/white and blue/yellow connects back to the earlier scene in the cinema foyer (where the clothes complement the set as it did in ep 7). Of course, when Up arrives he's in green (to pair with the yellow...and the oishi drink!) and he also has his mustard yellow socks...which match Aou's t-shirt - an interesting choice when they're joking about Aou and Up being another couple!

So, following the beach scene where Puen and Talay reconcile (again!), pink returns in the lights of the bus (with the blue). Aou is also in a pink and blue striped top with a blue vest (and brown trousers as usual) and Puen is wearing a red sleeveless top and blue jeans. I think this might be the first ep that I've noticed this kind of repetition and connection of colours throughout the whole ep...

Anyway, I couldn't also not mention the crisps (chips) advert at the end and I love the uniform use of red, blue, and yellow in the whole scene. But this is yet more evidence to make me think the shows designers took the product placements and based the colour schemes off the colours of the packaging 😂 (i.e. the minty green of the crisp packet along with the red and yellow).

But on to next week...and I'm not sure I can make a prediction of what colour we might get. The preview has a couple of instances of bright pink and deep red...so it might be the long-awaited red ep...but there's also a lot of neutral colours which makes me think it might be something like beige or sand (we haven't really had a 'brown' ep either) - I keep trying to think of colour names to go with sunrises, or daybreaks, or dawns...to follow the theme of time passing/endings and beginnings that the past few eps have set up - sunset orange, cloudy grey, midnight black etc). I've also been wondering if the last three eps might even be a red, a green, and a blue (although which order I don't know). Ah, it's too unknown! I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

WHAT IS THAT RANDOM-ASS BUST <<<<< truly a questionable choice in home decor sfjksgdj though now im wondering if it has some particular meaning because the show often does this (for example in episode 3 they actually show a wooden hand with its pinky out as a sort of foreshadow to the pinky promise puen and talay make at the end of it)

As time went by I feel like they nerfed Bruce and Tony’s friendship. I dunno like it was so strong in the avengers and after what happened in AoU I knew things would change a little bit and be tense but I dunno it seems like the vibe changed a bit like when Tony and Steve talking about Wakanda and Bruce doesn’t follow, it seems like the tables have turned. And now he’s the one left like when him & Tony were discussing science and Steve didn’t understand. I know it’s not really a big deal but it tweaked me a bit, I know that Tony and Steve is one of the most important dynamics in marvel. I just don’t like seeing Bruce left out and I enjoyed seeing Bruce/Hulk’s process in SaKaar, him and Thor are funny together. It just seems like the closer he gets with other people the farther away he gets from Tony? They couldn’t even do the simple thing of letting Tony be the one to calm the hulk down even though he was the closest person to him since Betty and Jen. Romance doesn’t have to the whole point of their relationship, they have a beautiful friendship, I feel like most of our key moments have gotten downplayed. Like we see Hulk being upset at Tony’s funeral yet ppl make it about him being on Thor?! (Btw I have nothing against Bruce being happy in another pairing) it just gets so frustrating sometimes, we saw Steve and Thor sitting with Pepper,Happy,and Morgan, but Bruce/Hulk couldn’t be there? I know they all loved him ehh and whoever the Tony as bachelor meme was going around they automatically make Bruce the one Tony friend zoned?? Star lord makes it to the top three though?? Lol 😆 ok…

They don't nerfed Bruce and Tony’s friendship… For me it's even worse, maybe I see it in the most negative way possible… But there literally comes a point where it seems like this relationship of immediate closeness and friendship NEVER existed. Suddenly they seem almost strangers who must fight together for a common good and since they both know science, they do just that. It's as if they gave those MINIMUM traces in Infinity War (I really LOVE the scene where Bruce looks for Tony's hug), but in Endgame it's smoke, pure smoke… Actually in the end they tried to pull more through other paths, possibly already knowing that Iron Man was going to have the end he has... but as you say, that in the end Bruce/Hulk is not even seen with Pepper, Morgan and Happy, or in a closer way… It's like they started a path in The Avengers, that they continued a bit with Age of Ultron, they parodied in Ragnarok in a good way, they gave miserable traces in Inifity War and ended in Endgame as if NOTHING had mattered, as if all that connection had been forgotten, as if it never existed. In the end it is a bit sad, it makes the final moment of Iron Man and his funeral more miserable for any fan of the two of them, both as a friendship, and as a connection between two people who were on the same path. YES, YES, YES, YEEEEES! Take that “she is just a kid in AoU” people! I WAS RIGHT GODDAMMIT! She and Pietro were born in 1989, bombings were in 1999, EXACTLY when Yugoslavia was bombarded by NATO, meaning that Sokovia and Kosovo share the history, just like we all presumed all this time.

The paper on the screen shows the date March 31, 1999. The bombings of Yugoslavia started March 23 and ended June 10, so it fits perfectly with the original Kosovo War timeline (meaning that either Sokovia is Kosovo in MCU, or Sokovia was part of Yugoslavia just like Kosovo). At the time NATO was trying to force Yugoslav armed forces to retreat from Kosovo (and to subdue president Slobodan Milošević). The rest of the paper reads “Sokovia Under Attack, US raid hits Sokovia with civilian casualties. Many are concerned for their lives”.

Wanda and Pietro were adults when they volunteered for Hydra experimentation and got radicalized by Hydra, which was very easy when you’re an angry orphan fighting for freedom of your country (believe me, I have tons of those here, and they are all very into all right ideology, so yeah, it’s very easy to radicalize those).

You don’t have to be a bad person to be radicalized. Nationalism is insidious and there is a very thin line between wanting your country to be better and actually turning into a neo-Nazi. A lot of people doesn’t see that line and crosses it.

BTW I respect that WandaVision tries to not demonize her, thanks to Monica vouching for her, that she doesn’t believe she does that maliciously. And I agree with both Jimmy and Darcy that new SWORD director is a dick. He is like all those anti-immigrant people who will watch immigrants like hawks for every minor slip to accuse them of everything bad. (Also we all know Lagos was Steve’s fault and if Steve just went to the public and said they were sorry and will try to do better in the future, Wanda’s situation would be so much better in CW).

EDIT: OMG, I am live commenting episode 5, ok? And now Wanda went full angry and dangerous, and I am like “WHOA, WHAT IS HAPPENING!?”

Wait for further comments. I dunno if they demonized her or not, because Monica trusts her. I mean my working theory was that Monica was sucked into the Westview, because she was feeling grief over her mother, that grief is a unifying feeling of all the people Wanda trapped, but Monica believes she invited Monica for a purpose and I don’t know if she is right or wrong yet.

Ok, so episode 6 spoilers.

Monica and “fake” Pietro both claim they were invited to the Hex, but Wanda has no recognition of ever inviting them, so it may be subconscious need of wanting to be freed from the Hex, even though consciously she refuses to leave it due to it being the only place she can actually be happy. There is something weird going on there. Wanda seems to be in complete control of the world she created, but at the same time she doesn’t know how it started, and it’s extremely fishy.

Third party, maybe? We do know Mefisto in the comics had connections to Wanda’s kids, and we know that she appears in Multiverse of Madness so... it is possible that someone influenced her to create the Hex and gave her everything she wanted, so she wouldn’t ever want to leave it, even if she becomes aware.

Also, why is Pietro the only one aware, while Vision gained awareness with time just like Wanda? Pietro was aware since day one, but Monica wasn’t. Why?

What is going on there, OMG?

i really do think that the MCU including the Maximoffs with most of their whole context and back story altered or erased because they literally didn’t have full rights to the characters (at the time, Fox owned them because they’re X-Men) was beyond poor decision making.

Their identity as Jewish Roma being erased (which is deeply antisimetic and racist) leaves a massive hole in their characterisation because them being Roma forms the foundation of their backstory as orphans who only have eachother, and even feeds into why they have powers depending on which origin story you’re running with - without that element you have to do so much unnecessary retconning to explain why these random twins have powers and no parents, especially because Disney wasn’t even allowed to say they were mutants.

Then, there’s killing Pietreo, which Disney only did because Fox told them they weren’t allowed to keep the character beyond AOU. A fundamental characterisation of Wanda and Pietro IS their bond as siblings, as TWINS. Take that away from either of them (yeah this is about “peter” maximoff too) and they’re not themselves at all. They didn’t even let her keep her accent ffs.

In short, Disney erased SO MUCH of the Maximoffs foundational characterisation that I wouldn’t even go so far as to say that’s who she is in the MCU. MCU wanda is a shadow of a shadow of her true self and its really disappointing to think that if the Maximoffs had been introduced maybe 5-10 years later in the MCU when Disney owned Fox and the X-Men and was at least attempting a more diverse slate of films, what could have been.

btw i am not pretending to be an expert on these characters. Prior to them being in the MCU, my experience of them was purely via the Avengers Vs X-Men comics and the Wolverine and the X-Men animated series. but even just knowing them from those was enough to see how much the MCU, for various reasons, watered them down and it just sucks. WandaVision is entertaining and engaging for loads of reasons, but its take on Wanda really isn’t one of them.

Aight, these are my theories for WANDAVISION:

•MORE THAN OBVIOUS THAT WANDA IS CONTROLLING EVERYTHING. Proof: First Vision tries to pass that door with her but she is not able to pass like Vision said “I only can pass myself trough objects/humans and i can’t bring anything/anyone else w me” but then Wanda changes that at her like by making Vision pass with her trough the chair. When Vision’s boss is dying Vision doesn’t do anything, when he actually could have done something the first moment he saw him choke, but he just looks at Wanda waiting for her to give him the command to save him, also the Boss’ wife tells Wanda to “Stop it” not her husband. Also, the Boss was choking bc he was humiliating Wanda when he was asking about the marriage and she didn’t know the answer. Dottie also tells Wanda that she doesn’t like them and she is very mean to her, but then she wins the talent show, meaning Wanda made that change to. At the end of ep 2 Wanda sees the “Beekeeper” and she confidently says “no, u are not going to get in here, this is my life, my choice” and just turns back time.

•AGNES IS DEFINITELY AGATHA HARKNESS, she is a bad witch and i think that she is with Wanda in this, like maybe Wanda called for help and Agatha just came as a godmother fair lol and told her about pocket dimensions, she maybe sold it to her like a “good thing” but maybe she is just trying to extract Wanda’s magic for herself cause our girl is super powerful and everybody wants this. Now what i think about this part is that Wanda really kidnapped a whole town and made them be part of her simulation and Agatha introduced herself in there and she is the only one that Wanda can’t have control over, if you see Agnes in ep1 when she brings food Wanda tries to get her out of there, which will usually work with anyone, but it takes a lot to make her go, also Agnes comes back again at the front door this time making Wanda nervous, in ep2 she also humiliated her by saying that her clothes are a bad choice. Then, in a trailer (i don’t remember which one exactly, maybe the second one where Vision is dressed for Halloween) Agnes is dressed as a witch and literally gives creepy vibes, that’s also a sign of what is she.

•Okay so bc Wanda kidnapped the whole town and created a magic shield for no one to enter, S.W.O.R.D appears (you can see the logo in the Beekeeper and also Monica in one trailer for a split of sec) bc S.H.I.E.L.D is like half dead at this point so they take over and tries to reach to Wanda thought the field, but maybe they make her angry cause suddenly Monica Rambeau is in the dimension acting a lil strange so Wanda just kidnapped her and put her there but bc she is like a well trained agent (and basically the next Captain Marvel) she somehow gets to fight over Wanda’s mind control and tries to reach out to her real herself, but it blurry and messy. Like when she meets Wanda she hesitates a little bit to answer when she asks for her name and is very nervous around Wanda, like she is terrified, maybe her subconscious is telling her to be cause Wanda is her captor.

•ALSO THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT AND EXCITED THING FOR ME. Are we getting an X-Men crossover?? Cause S.W.O.R.D is mostly composed of X-Men members like Beast, Cable, Magneto, ABIGAIL, etc. so maybe we getting Cable or Magneto? this guiding by Deadpool’s change of timeline, but maybe when Cable said that he would stay around it was in order for him to be part of S.W.O.R.D or sum? (which btw, will be super weird seeing Josh as Cable in MCU after him being Thanos lol maybe Wanda is gonna kill him looool) BUT WHAT I KNOW IS THAT if you go to cast list for WandaVision on google you get Evan Peters as “Quicksilver” old if they made a mistake and they wanted to put Aaron instead of Evan, but if we get Evan that officially means that X-Men are coming into MCU now that Disney bought Fox. If we get Aaron it will be fucking amazing, but... i don’t think is happening...

•WHERE IS WANDA’s ACCENT AT? She is supposed to have an accent, like in every movie, but suddenly she doesn’t have it. Could this be bc she is kinda ashamed of herself? like she wants to pretend she is not Wanda Maximoff, the one that everyone fears of, the Sokovian chick that hurt people by accident.

•LASTLY, COMING BACK TO VISION, notice how imperfect he is? he is a robot and in AOU he is presented as a perfect being who knows everything except human emotions/actions, he indeed tries to understand them but as we take a look in Infinity War while he tries to be human we see him stiff, still very robot like, knowing and sensing everything which kinda annoys Wanda bc she just wanted to be with him in peace. Well in the series he is awkward, very socially awkward, he also forgets things, like the 23 heart heart thingy, he really acted like a typical husband, just exactly what Wanda wanted, a typical relationshiop where husband forgets things and then messes up, but the funny thing about that part is that he says “I know everything” but he didn’t know what 23 heart meant, Wanda made him imperfect with real human struggles.

anyways, i need more of this show.

explain why thor is such an asshole, pls

Oooh man, do not get me started on it. Please heed a few warnings before reading: 1) Of course, this will mostly revolve around Thor's treatment of Loki. 2) Please note that this is NOT a post about Loki's own actions, and that I will NOT cover them in detail. 3) Please remember that English is not my first language, so if anything is unclear, forgive me! You are always free to ask me for clarifications.

Let's go movie by movie.

Thor 1: Thor treats Loki like a lesser being, and his friends along with him. Thor mocks his magic, calling it tricks, and Vollstag makes a jab at his 'silver tongue'. Now this might be considered silly and unimportant, but let's not forget that were a simple warrior or, God forbid, a servant to mock a prince (as seen in the movie, both cases) they would get the whip at best and death at worst. Both are let go without consequence, and while Thor might not be the main perpetrator of this violence, he both excuses it and does not discourage it. That enables people to consider Loki unimportant and inferior, and to consider his orders as inconsequential (e.g. the guard who was supposed to tell Odin they were about to go to Jotunheim). Judging by how casual everyone seems about the treatment of the younger prince, it is clear that this is a regular occurrence, and it will set the precedent about the Warriors Three, Lady Sif and Heimdall's own treason later in the movie.

Another occasion in which Thor behaves like an asshole is in Jotunheim, when the tells Loki to "know his place" -immediately before starting a fight with Jotuns over being called 'princess'. He starts considering them a little more than beasts and "monsters to be slain" only when Loki (who has a stupid and questionable but nonetheless understandable motive behind it) tries to destroy their Realm. This, of course, after spending most of his life as a warrior and an imperialist, son of a man who was as bloodthirsty as they come (see Ragnarok's murals). They want us to buy that a lifestyle of more than one thousand years has been changed by three days spent in the company 'of mortals!' (Frigga)

Her tone says it all on how they consider the humans: if not beasts to be slain, then beasts who do NOT need to be slain. Inferior beings, at any rate.

Avengers (2012): after a lifetime together, Thor does not seem to notice that Loki, the would-be conqueror of Earth, is in pain and clearly not himself. Loki is clever and a strategist: he would never attack Earth in such a "visible" manner. It goes against Loki's nature, as he is shown to be the more diplomatic, less impulsive of the two. This denotes either a serious lack of knowledge about Thor's own brother's personality (which would be difficult and weird, as they have "played together, fought together") or simple disregard of it. Moreover, he calls Loki's legitimate anger over how he has been treated "imagined slights", insisting that Loki is only trying to conquer Earth because he (Loki) knows Thor cares for it. He is apparently completely unaware that Loki is acting in a very OOC way, and does not ask himself any questions over it. At the end of the movie, he slaps a muzzle over Loki's mouth, apparently without reason, since Loki does not need to use his voice to use his magic. I found this especially assholish, since this prevented Loki from explaining himself, had he wanted to (and he might have wanted to, since I would guess that the choice was between Thor and Odin, and so it is obvious that Loki would have picked Thor to confide in, if he had to absolutely do so).

Thor 2: during Thor 1, Loki had asked Odin: "So I am nothing more than a relic to be put aside, until such a moment where you may have use of me?" Boy, this was basically a harbinger, since Thor uses Loki exactly in that way. He does not visit Loki in prison, he does not allow Loki to mourn their mother with him, considers Frigga's attempts at easing Loki's (eternal!) punishment as INDULGING Loki. Thor threatens him with death should Loki betray him, and tells him that once their mission is complete Thor will return him to his cell (which, btw, puts Loki in the very delicate position of deciding whether to kill Thor and escape once he is out or return to his eternity of solitary confinement quietly, but I digress). Not once doesThor try to understand Loki's motives, ask him what the hell happened to him after he fell into the Void, or try to talk to him, so Thor either really took all of that OOC behaviour during Avengers 1 at face value (which would make him pretty stupid), or he simply does not care.

Now, let's analyse a particular scene, the famous "Trust my rage" scene. We all know what happened before Loki said this (Thor almost punching him) and from his expressions and body language, I believe it a safe bet to maintain that Thor has already hit Loki in the past. You do not behave like that if you think the person in front of you would never hit you, and you do not look surprised when they stop themselves.

"But they were enemies! Loki had already-" yes. They had been enemies, though how much was Loki's own free will during A1 is a big question mark. What is important is that they are working together RIGHT NOW, and you do not punch people you need to work with.

Lastly, Loki had literally to die in front of him (THE SCENE WAS FILMED AS IF IT WERE A REAL DEATH AND LATER NEVER EXPLAINED. LOKI DID NOT FAKE HIS DEATH.) to have some way of not returning in the dungeons and not having to kill Thor.

Thor Ragnarok: do I really need to explain? I think not. His treatment of Loki is monstrous and the manipulative behaviour he has with Bruce Banner, Hulk and Valkyrie is despicable. Just watch the damn movie, it is enough to give anyone the creeps.

IW: "You really are the worst brother".

EG: never once mentions Loki. Thor apparently has been fighting depression because of his death, and he never once speaks to him, or says his name. He behaves rudely and is generally unpleasant to his teammates and particularly Peter Quill, with whom he seems to have a bone to pick.

My conclusion: Thor is an asshole, friends and neighbours.

Also, didn't Thor threaten Tony Stark in AoU by grabbing him by the neck, all because he wasn't getting his way?

Yes, totally! It’s often felt like people only wanted to explore relationships with POPULAR characters who had very specific connections to their muses from canon, even if my muses ALSO had a connection to their character in canon. Like how a lot of Magnetos would be interested in all the Charles and Magnet-kids, but not in his canon followers that I played. And like I understand that, it was also still frustrating. Cuz it’s like, hello? My characters ALSO have a canon connection to yours? Is that not good enough? Oh, right, they’re not love interests or the like, so no, actually, it’s not. It often seems IN GENERAL that if you’re not shipping---and the right SORT of shipping at that---you’re gonna get left out. And it did not go unnoticed by me that when people were writing Certain Characters, they got swarmed with interaction in chat. It clearly was about WHO they were writing, not HOW. I remember one time I was writing Haven in chat with this street kid who was like all distrustful and such, and Haven was going slow and being gentle and doing all the right stuff, since she has a background in working with impoverished children and it’s like her whole thing in life, and I was just getting nothing back from this person and their muse. Then a popular male canon enters and SUDDENLY this guarded urchin is rushing to him and naturally trusts him and all this shit despite him giving NO signals he wants a child near him at all . . .it’s just, jesus christ. I know we all KNOW that’s how it is, that Popular Male Canons (which, btw, Shaw is NOT) reign supreme, but it can be really grating to see in action, especially when you’re just literally tossed aside for one when it’s an interaction that should be RIGHT IN YOUR CHARACTER’S WHEELHOUSE. It’s also so frustrating when like. . . .I know follower count doesn’t matter, but I spent AGES getting to even a hundred on my Cortez blog, right? And then two weeks BEFORE Age of Ultron came out, a then-mutual made an AOU Quicksilver blog and it got 400 followers. Before the movie was even out. How did anyone even know they wanted to write with this character?! How did the MUN know they wanted to write him?! I don’t like to ASSUME that people ONLY write with a muse because they are a Popular Movie Canon Male or have a hot face, but there was no other explanation there. And yes, it made me jealous as a small struggling blog who had to explain to literally every new follower who the fuck my muse even was. I’m also jealous at times of people not for things they HAVEN’T earned like the aforementioned stuff here, but the things they HAVE. The people who have a lot of interaction because they GIVE a lot, they make and reply to opens, they write consistently, they do great and frequent threads, etc. I wish I had that in me.

. Thor still has immense survivor’s guilt and stuff, but due to this being a Thor/Bruce Au, Bruce helps him through it, so he doesn’t drink away five years, and they take. His. Trauma. Seriously.

. This means Val becomes queen early.

. On that note, Loki gets accepted by the avengers! All of them are skeptical but they can’t just tell a god of thunder who lost everybody no, so they let them stay. They talk to Bruce and Tony sometimes and they confirm that Loki’s dad was just a dick, and help them realize that maybe they were wrong about themself.

. This means they help Thor too :) they aren’t super ‘helpful’ per say, but Thor has something left and that’s his version of therapy.

- Friend dies in Sokovia

- Saves Clint and the kid instead, but lives

- Still beat up over friend who dies. Steve tries to help and tels them about Bucky

- Conversation with Nat: “You’re so young. You have so much to live for. You almost died yesterday. Why don’t you leave?” “I have nothing to lose. But I have everything to fight for.”

- Team Cap but they aren’t allowed to join the fight and they really don’t want to. They don’t want to fight Rhodes or Natasha.

- Sneaks Steve and the others stuff in exile and meets them as much as possible

- When the snap happens, they survive. They get PTSD

- Can’t dust and can’t say “no” without getting triggered. Thy can’t watch TV for a year and every time they have an attack, they shapeshift frantically into the people they watched die. They don’t want to go into therapy, but things gradually get slightly easier. At year 4 they still have triggers and guilt, but can get up and live without hassle.

- Doesn’t time travel. Stays back with Bruce (btw Bruce doesn’t do the hulk thing, where he ‘puts the brain and the brawn together’. He’s still Bruce).

- Does fight against Thanos’s army a second time.

- Sees Val and Nebula and almost dies. Simp 24/7 but good at containing it, nothing more than a crush.

Additional non-timeline specific events:

- at one point, they see Peter on the ceiling and ask how that works. They copy the grip claws (?) and stick next to him. He tries to high five them, but neither have any gloves on at all, so they get their hands stuck and destroy the ceiling trying to unstick, until Phoenix pulls in their shift and they fall.

- Always begging Tony to to bring them to parties and stuff, and Tony finally says “okay but dress well and don’t embarrass me.” They wear a really good suit and only drink a root beer despite arguing with Tony that in their home state they have the right to drink if a guardian gives permission (Wisconsin) , and at some point gets bored, shifts into an official and badly impersonates them, confusing everyone. They get kicked out, but Tony actually found it fucking hilarious and promises to bring them again.

- After battles with high tech solutions, they often try to find Banner and have him tell them what it all means. They have no idea what he’s saying, but they like seeing him infodump.

- They learn French, Spanish and some Russian from Natasha and Bucky.

“Please, everyone, let’s all stay calm and in time, The Captain will answer each and every one of your questions.” A woman with a neat hair pulled back smiled, adjusting her grey pantsuit when she spoke. The buzzing in the room gradually died down.

Steve knew who she was. Penelope was one of The Avengers representatives in the news and the media. She was very stern but not any less kind because of it. He assumed she was very good at her job.

His eyes bore into the crowd, his guts twisted in disappointment when he couldn’t locate her.

“Captain Rogers will only answer question regarding the body formerly known as SHIELD, as well as the latest mission of The Avengers and the new aiding initiative for helping PTSD suffering veterans recover.” Penelope glanced at Steve as he nodded, confirming what she said.

He was already debriefed an hour ago, but the woman knew who she was dealing with, and after the scandal of last time…he needed to be reminded he can’t be saying exactly what’s on his mind.

“Captain Rogers will not answer any further questions referencing political views nor personal life.” Penelope smiled, “use your time wisely. Thank you.”

In a brief second suited arms were raised as high as they could, it was like the were in a competition of who can speak louder and raise his hand higher. Steve adjusted in his seat, his suit widely uncomfortable and restricting;

“It makes you look professional.” Natasha said,

“Handsome.” Clint added,

“Carl, go ahead.”

A man from the back row stood up and cleared his throat, smoothing down the wrinkles of his pants.

“Captain Rogers, it’s an honor to meet you again.” Steve nodded, not even the faintest smile on his lips, “what is your stance regarding the conflict in the middle east? Will you explain-“

“Let me stop your right there.” Penelope talked straight to the black microphone, “Really, Carl? I thought we were very clear with our instructions. He will not answer that. Next!” She announced, already scanning for a different journalist with her eyes. They fell on a young woman, so contrasted in that view of tired dark suits, her confidence refreshing and covering everything she lacks in experience.

“The LA Times, y/n.”

Steve’s eyes lit up when he saw her thin golden bracelet sliding down her wrist as she raised her hand up.

Despite the scuffs that filled the room, a satisfied grin decorated her features when her name was pronounced ceremonially, her stance straight and impressive.

“Will the initiative Mr. Wilson and you have come up with only be relevant to the citizens of New York? Or should we expect to see more branches soon?”

Tony was pulling all the stops to promote “VetsForVets” even though it wasn’t his.

He didn’t seem to mind though, given Steve didn’t let him donate the entire amount they needed for all the branches in plan and even more, Tony wanted to help as much as Steve allowed him, and he did an amazing job at it.

Steve searched with his eyes for anyone familiar, catching Sam and Tony standing near the stage. He approached them quickly, press hasn’t arrived yet.

“Tony!” He called, “this is incredible, I don’t know how to thank you.”

Sam patted him back with a smack and nodded, “I tried it man,” Sam smiled, “he won’t accept any thank you but a thank you.”

“Enough about me now,” Tony adjusted his glasses, “it’s your night.” He motioned to the two of them and put his hands on their shoulders, furthering them from each other and creating a space to walk through between the two.

Sam chuckled and shook his head, nodding to the entrance as a new wave of people streamed past the door, cameras and microphones in hand.

Steve muttered a distracted apology as he moved past the donors they were talking with, Sam looked at him questionably but Steve dismissed his worry, smiling wide and congratulating all of them a with a good night. Sam was charming them way better anyway.

Determined, he walked to the bar and ordered himself a useless whiskey. Once he got his order he turned around to lean on the high counter, sipping slowly from the amber liquid. He glimpsed quickly at the man y/n was speaking with, getting closer an inch with the wish to be noticed.

Steve downed his drink in one go, longing for how carefree it used to make him.

“Oh, excuse me just a minute.” Jacob cut her flow of words to look above her head, his eyes lighting up when Steve nodded at him.

It’s- honestly?

Ch.11 went a whole different route than what I was planning on doing (hell, I’ll even put the TWO whole ass drafts under the read more; warning, it’s SUPER long and I’m never using it so no losses on my part) but I’m happy it went the way it did haha. I finished it in 2 solid days, even if it took me months to update.

Uhh, as for future plans...?

*SPOILERS FOR RESTART? But not really?*

Next two chapters we (SHOULD BE, NO GUARANTEES) are gonna be dealing with CA:TWS... Then, right afterward, we may or may not have a filler chapter, and then we’ll dive into a certain Sokovian base (wink wink). As for AOU... Hm. ;)

AAAH I have so much stuff I wanna tell you guys about :,)

Well, so far that’s what I (canonically) have lined up.

As for other junk: I have 4 specials drafted, 2 What If’s (not canon, but mainly for filler and exploring unused ideas :D) and like, a couple out of place chapters that I wanna slide in the future arcs.

BTW, I have a question to ask: if I had any trashed drafts or whatever, do you guys wanna read it? I’ll post it all in one post (other than Ch.11, I don’t have any other trash right now, but still), probably here.

Anyways. Below cut is the cut draft PT.1 for Ch. 11. WARNING: it might be super incoherent.

Admittedly, Project Renaissance was a huge file.

Of course, it wasn't just all about one particular thing. No, there were files and files that lay underneath it, but even then each one was just as large as the other.

There were ones like 'World Domination', where it was just filled with new projects and products for Stark Industries, like prosthetics (SI really branched into the medical field after your dad made Rhodey his leg braces) and newer editions of tablets, phones, and laptops, too. Hell, even your car and motorbikes blueprints were on there, too- something SI had never dived into up until you had taken over. Improvements in cleaner energy were also there, but that's been the main target for SI for years, so that didn't really count.

Then there were files like 'Supernova' and 'Milky Way', which were a bit more important than others. Project Supernova had to do with Extremis. You wanted to stabilize it as much as possible, then throw it into the darkest corner possible and never have to look back at it; you only wanted it to serve as a... The last resort, of sorts.

Yeah, sure, Tony had a stable version of Extremis locked and loaded, hidden deep into the Tower's database, but it was barely usable. And as for Project Milky Way, it's more or less a Stark Internship program. It'd be really beneficial to high school (and maybe middle school) students, so you suppose...

("More like an excuse to properly recruit that Parker boy," DAHLIA snarks. Brat.)

But what had your constant attention were the big dogs, which, if you remembered correctly, should be happening quite soon.

Files like 'Snakes In The Grass' (S.H.I.E.L.D.-RA), 'Hot Tub Time Machine' (Sargeant Barnes), and 'On Your 6' (Project Insight) all had your attention right now, and for obvious reasons, as you nervously glance at your calendar.

3 more months.

That was about all the time you had left before the big day was supposed to happen, and you were nowhere near as prepared as you should be.

Sure, you had lots of contingency and protocols planned out already, but there was only so much you could predict what would happen.

God, it sucks that you're not 21 yet, because your mind sure is buzzing for some Jäger right about now. You're not an alcoholic by a long shot but... You glanced at a picture of you and your dad.

You sure as hell understood alcoholics, though.

And for that, you needed to get your hands on B.A.R.F. All you need is to remember that one guy's name...

"DAHLIA, pull up the files for, ah... What was his name? Quin... Quincy? No, no... Gw- Quenti- Quentin Bank- Beck? Beck. Quentin Beck- give me his file."

"I was worried you were having a stroke."

"I will if I don't see his file in T-minus 1 second."

You wiped your jittery hands clean of any leftover muck, definitely feeling 5 shots of espresso and 2 hours of intermittent sleep finally taking its toll. You glanced through the files that she had pulled up. There were the basic files: his biography, works, and reports, but those weren't what you were interested in.

"Filter it for anything regarding- uh- B.A.R.F. Like- eh- Binarily Augmented Retro-Framing."

All of the files slimmed up to where it was all organized in one, neat folder. You quickly skimmed through all of it, but it all seemed to be experimental work. For now, anyway.

"Progress on B.A.R.F.?"

But despite all that, you made no effort to walk away from listening to the conversation that was going on between your dad and Prin- King T'Challa. It was obvious to you and your dad- along with anyone else with a brain in their skull- that the ex-Avengers (or, at least, Barnes)- was in the nation that was Wakanda. You didn't know how your dad had managed to skirt around that with T'Challa, but you didn't really care.

You just wanted to know what they're gonna do about it.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Dr. Stark? While I know that I, along with Mr. Barnes as well, would appreciate your more than generous offer... I also understand that there is... Tension between the two of you..."

Generous offer?

What the hell is T'Challa going on about? What offer?

"Just... promise me one thing."

"Just... I don't want him to- to try and find me. And if you can't do that- then... Then at least make sure he doesn't get near (Name)."

Your dad was more than happy to not take partial credit for Barne's recovery, so long as it was kept a promise that Barnes stay every little bit away from him (and you, surprisingly enough).

So, it was really unfair that you pitted 2023 Barnes against...

Blank eyes stare directly in front of him, and interestingly enough, he doesn't make an effort to look you in the eye. He's strapped in his chair for extra precautions, but the lingering resignation in his eyes, no matter how blank they are, makes you want to vomit. It makes you sick, knowing that after each mission he's sent out on, he's probably getting strapped back into a goddamn chair and getting his whole hard drive wiped and reconfigured...

You glanced away from him, subtly bringing your hand up to your mouth. You coughed, praying that nothing comes up to your mouth as disgust fills your gut.

"Mission parameters incomplete."

His voice was quiet, for what it was. You weren't sure what you were expecting, but the softness of it was a surprise.

"Excuse me?"

"Mission parameters incomplete."

"Ah, man..."

"Yeah, no, how am I not surprised...?"

"Uh, hm. Hm, hm, hm..."

You pursed your lips.

He visibly perked up- either that, or you're kind of losing it.

"Oh well, that doesn't matter, I can fill the air with my gibberish anyways."

No response. Just a bleary and blank stare.

At least he was looking at you.

"That's fine. Either way, as long as I have a say in it, you're not going back to HYDRA. I'll make sure of that, Barnes."
