#when NDP tabled a statement that was like being rich is bad or wahtever (paraphrasing)

In Ontario Liberal leader Wynne (2 elections ago) literally told their base not to vote NDP even though Libs had no chance whatsoever because allowing a Tory gov in power means people think about how bads the Tories suck instead of understanding we could have something other than those two :)

to be completely honest, I think the best path to block a conservative majority is for the liberals to pull their candidates out of ridings that could go NDP. the liberals are in shambles and have no chance of winning the next election. as it stands, I think it’s unlikely that they would form the official opposition. if they give the NDP the opportunity to win more seats, the NDP could be the opposition and form a coalition with the bloc and the remaining liberals to block conservative legislation.

unfortunately, the liberals aren’t going to do that, because they’re useless. not enough of them recognize that they’re completely screwed with or without trudeau in leadership. which means it’s up to anybody who is even slightly progressive to throw their vote behind the NDP. the NDP needs to pull together a really really good campaign, and yes, in quebec the bloc might need to do more of the heavy lifting.

as much as I hate to admit it, I don’t think there’s a remote possibility that the conservatives don’t win. the only question is whether they get a majority government or not.
