✨Sunday Special✨ . The warmth of summer filled my heart this weekend. 💛 After a deeply meaningful visit to Texas in the past two weeks, I filled my soul with all things Maine (except I still seek out spicy corn tortilla tacos everywhere🌶🤗). I contemplated if it was a mistake not to buy the cowgirl boots in Texas meant for twirling on the dance floor, but realize they don’t clip-in to my bike pedals. I forged ahead in proper attire, a new kit actually, helmet in place of cowgirl hat. 💃🏼⇔🚴🏼‍♀️ . Back to the weekend - I rode over 70 miles on my bike gazing up in awe at the bright blue sky, puffy clouds, and endless beauty of the sea; a soft breeze flowing through my hair, salt on my skin, legs moving vigorously, heart pumping. Every other cyclist in the area seemed to be out there too leading to countless smiles + waves + good mornings. 😄👋🏻 I reconnected with dear friends, laughed uncontrollably, discovered new music, finished another book, acquired more plants for my home (sunflowers too!), enjoyed wonderful live music with a post-ride beer (awesome performance @lucasdesmond!), and most of all, felt incredibly thankful for my not so perfect life. - Every Sunday is an opportunity to spend in a special way and reset before the week ahead.
