kinktober day 2 || feet/spit || sargebon
(on ao3)
Alex is clearly in a mood; one that Logan doesn’t have the capacity or experience to decipher, exactly, but it’s noticeably there.
It’s the way he hauls Logan’s legs across his lap on the couch. The way he rubs absently at his ankle until Logan wraps up his phonecall. The way he actually strips Logan’s socks right off of his feet and presses a sharp thumb to the arch of the left one.
“Rough day at the office?" Alex asks, openly sympathetic. This is also a clear sign that he’s going to be a fucking hazard.
“Uh-huh,” Logan says warily. Alex is sort of slumped toward the other side of the couch and it’s put him in the right position to pull Logan’s feet up onto his chest. He thought he was going to get a weird, potentially many-strings-attached foot massage. Not… whatever the fuck this is.
Whatever it is, being Alex suddenly licking the arch of his foot.
“Dude,” Logan says, knee jerking, toes curling. He’s careful not to kick Alex in the face, though he’d probably deserve it.
Alex grins at him, licks the side of his foot this time—he does it with the edge of his tongue, so that the wet pink expanse of it is just all there and inviting. Logan’s just come from down the hall, only showered an hour ago, so his feet aren’t exactly ripe just yet. Still.
“Gross,” he manages.
“What,” Alex says, pressing Logan’s foot to his cheek. “They’re pretty much clean, so. How is it gross?”
Can’t argue with that logic, probably. Logan’s not sure what possesses him to push the dialogue any further, but; “So you’re just doing easy mode.”
Alex looks at him over his toes, brow twitching up. “Is that a challenge?”
Inexplicably, it makes Logan blush to even think about it. It doesn’t feel like the good kind of blush. Embarrassing to even consider it—Logan’s dirty, sweaty feet after he’s come in from a workout. Alex pulling his damp socks off for him. Alex licking the sweat from the soles of his feet.
It’s not a good thought. Or he’s pretty sure it’s not, except for the way his dick is having a whole moment about it.
Alex laughs at him. Of course. “Oh, you like that, then.”
Logan says, “No,” way too fast.
Alex, snickering, grabs Logan by the ankle and spreads his legs so he can lean up over him.
“What part of it,” he says, eyes glinting. “Which part do you like?”
Logan mutters incoherently. He wants to put his hands over his face, kind of. Wants to hide from Alex, who always knows exactly what he’s thinking, especially when it comes to the embarrassing parts.
“Dunno,” Logan says faintly. Alex pushes his knee up, up, until it’s practically touching his chest, and then rubs Logan’s ankle against his cheek. They’re pressed together in all of the good places. The swell of Alex’s dick rubbing against Logan’s—it’s such a fucking relief to find him thickening up, too.
“Does it feel nice?” Alex asks, turning his head to tongue at the ball of his foot, just under his toes. “S’that it?”
Logan makes a strangled noise. It does feel kind of nice, but that’s not at all it. Alex hums. With Logan’s foot where it is, pressed to his chin, it looks a bit ponderous. Like The Thinker, or whatever, with a foot instead of a fist.
Alex, because he’s insane, slurps Logan’s big toe into his mouth and sucks absently. It doesn’t feel good exactly but it’s the shape of Alex’s mouth, the way it looks when he sucks dick. It’s the fact that feet are, like, inherently dirty, and Alex is willing to put Logan’s filth in his mouth.
Alex pulls off with a wet pop. "Or d'you just like it a little dirty?"
Logan shrugs helplessly. Maybe he does like it a little dirty. Who’s to say?
Alex laughs at him again, because he’s an asshole, and Logan’s dick kicks in his pants, because he’s lost control of his life.
It’s kind of a relief when Alex lets go of his ankle and leans over him, even though it’s stretching his hamstrings about as far as they should conceivably go. Even with Alex looking at him again, it’s good to have his foot less involved. Maybe.
Alex takes his chin between his fingers, gentle, and says, “Open.”
Logan opens. Obedient, rigid as if Alex had forced his jaw wide with his fingers.
Alex spits. There’s no force behind it, just a slow sort of drool that Logan finds himself reaching for with his tongue. Because, again, he’s gone fucking insane.
He imagines he can taste it. Whatever his feet taste like—sweat and sock and shoe, a taint that should be wrong against the neutral flavour of Alex’s spit but that makes his head spin. He lays back and takes it, waits for Alex to close his mouth and lick his lips before he even thinks about reacting.
"You can swallow," Alex tells him graciously.
Logan swallows.

prompt -> everyone cowers in front of ringo's supreme power
There’s a reason why Ringo never played drum solos. If you thought it was because he simply didn’t like them, then I’m sorry, but you got fooled by a famous Beatles lie. No, Ringo didn’t play drum solos because he had stage fright, or he thought that they were too ostentatious - he refused to play them because he knew it would give him too much power. So much power, in fact, that he could cause the end of the world.
Sounds dramatic, I know, but don’t believe me? Back in the Hamburg days, after being heckled by a rambunctious crowd for over 2 hours straight to play something that could put Buddy Rich to shame, Ringo finally cracked. He ran 64th notes down his drum kit in such a rapid succession that he started to glow bright orange, as if he were on fire. Rory and the rest of the band didn’t know what to do with their glowing orb of a drummer, but they didn’t have much time to fret on it anyways because the walls of the Kaiserkeller started to rattle and crack, which made the German audience, still recovering from WW2, duck for cover with a collective yelp.
“Ringo!” Rory tried to yell over the ear-splitting noise that was coming from Ringo as his orange glow got progressively brighter. Ringo couldn’t hear him because he was in the zone. The Auto Zone. “Quit it!!”
Ringo moved from his 64th notes to smacking away at his cymbals like he was releasing the rage of a thousand years. The middle of the dance floor started to cave in, swallowing those who couldn’t move away fast enough. If you listened closely, you could hear a deep, Liverpudlian laugh coming from the pit. The only reason Ringo didn’t cause the end of the world on this occasion was because, as he was about to start balancing his twirling drumsticks on his nose, his allergies (the thing that humbles us all) got the better of him, causing him to let out a loud sneeze that rocketed him away from his set. With his senses knocked back into him, Ringo gaped at the chaos in front of him and turned to Rory, who was gaping back at him with a look on his face that could only mean Ringo was out of the band.
This is the history of The Beatles that you don’t know about. Ringo was a freelancer for a brief moment in Hamburg before John, Paul, and George found him. There had been a rumor circulating that there was something wrong with Ringo, but when the three lads saw him standing outside of a club one cold evening, lighting a cigarette in his own solitude, they just assumed that everyone else was being mean and hinting at how big his nose was.
And just like that, Pete was out and Ringo was in, because John, Paul, and George had heard that Ringo could really bring the house down. Ringo had tried to warn his new band members on multiple occasions that he suspected there was something wrong with him, but all of them insisted that he was fine and that his nose really wasn’t that big, so he had nothing to worry about. Ringo wasn’t so sure about that but, following the Incident, he had braved the drums once again and managed to keep a steady beat without causing Armageddon. Needless to say, that didn’t mean he was any less nervous about playing. Luckily, he insisted enough times that he would never do a drum solo, and John, Paul, and George listened, though they did think he was a little bit looney.
And things were alright like this for a while, through the ups and downs of their career, playing across the globe to thousands of screaming fans. Ringo never once let his guard down: there were no solos coming from him, no matter how many people wanted it.
That fateful night in Hamburg felt like another life, so much so that Ringo nearly forgot about the unusual power he contained. It wasn’t until he was pushed to the edge that he remembered he held the fate of the world in the palm of his hand, and there was nothing anyone could do about it.
The year was 1969, the holiest year of them all, and Ringo was about ready to thrust his head through some drywall, he was so fed up with his bandmates. The incessant bickering over which songs made the cut on the album and which didn’t were really starting to drive him up the wall. Maxwell’s Silver Hammer was just the icing on the cake.
“We need another take on that one,” Paul announced to the band with an air of authority that Ringo wished he could strangle. They had just finished playing through their forty-seventh take and, although Paul was acting like it wasn’t his fault, it was absolutely his fault that they had to play the damn song again. For someone who acted like he was the leader of the band, Paul sure was having trouble remembering his baloney lyrics.
Without a word, John let his guitar slip out of his hands so it clunked to the ground in an amplified drop, its buzzing filling the room. John left them like that, stomping to the door and letting himself out, back to sanity. George gazed longingly at the door like he wanted to follow behind John, but he knew too well that Paul wasn’t going to let that happen. Completely unbothered by John, Paul turned to face the engineers in the sound booth and motioned in a grand gesture for them to start a new tape.
George looked across at Ringo and Ringo stared blankly back at him. He was really trying to repress everything he was feeling.
“Take 48,” George Martin nervously announced into their headphones, like he knew he was stoking a fire.
“Ringo, I’m gonna need some more umph on that drum part,” Paul turned back to Ringo with a smug look stretched across his face. “If you can handle it.”
That was it. That was freaking it. That was the line. The line’s way back there. Paul crossed that line. He crossed that line so hard it’s not even funny.
Ringo stood from his kit but, unlike John, he didn’t book it for the door. Instead, he rushed around the room, gathering every single percussion instrument he could find.
“I’ll give you umph,” he growled at Paul. In return, Paul smiled back at him because that was exactly what he wanted. In between them, George grabbed at his head. His two mates were really making him question why they were his mates in the first place.
“Take 48!” Paul called up to George Martin, spinning his finger around to motion that they start the tape. Then, he turned back to Ringo, who was staring at him with so much intensity it was a miracle Paul wasn’t sent flying backwards.
“One, two, one two three...”
Paul started to play the opening chords on his dinky little piano but Ringo wasn’t having any of that, oh no. He pounded into his snare drum so hard one of the drumsticks broke through the skin. Instead of pulling it out, Ringo left it there and grabbed a tambourine, which he proceeded to bang against his hi-hat. Paul wasn’t sure what Ringo was doing, but they had experimented enough in the past that he let it slide. George, on the other hand, was silently whispering prayers to himself as he stared at Ringo's glowing figure in horror. Ringo knew exactly what he was doing; if he did a drum solo, he could wreck their studio enough that he wouldn’t have to listen to Maxwell’s frickin Silver Hammer again. The trouble was, Ringo didn’t know when the right time was to stop.
By the time he started using two maracas as drumsticks on a timpani, Ringo began to slowly levitate. George’s whispered prayers were becoming louder from his panic. Up in the booth, it looked like the two remaining Beatles were performing an exorcism on Ringo.
“What the-” George Martin muttered. The boys must have stumbled across some new kind of street drug that really messed you up.
“Maxwell Anderson, majoring in medicine,” Paul cheerfully sang from his piano, his back turned to Ringo. Ringo started to shake in place, now suspended 5 feet above the ground, clicking castanets angrily while glaring down at Paul. George gaped as Ringo's color switched to a fiery, Kool Aid Man-red. It was bad. Paul continued to unknowingly play, but his left hand took a break to wipe some sweat from his brow. Someone must have turned up the heat, he mused to himself.
But no, it was Ringo, on the brink of causing a thermonuclear explosion. George was initially concerned for Ringo’s safety but, after seeing actual waves of heat emitted from his beige suit, George decided that his pal wasn’t worth it. He’d had some great memories with Ringo, but he could remember those later in therapy. For the meantime, he was getting the hell out of dodge, to wherever John had escaped to.
The problem was, Ringo’s power was sucking George so dry that he hardly had any energy left in him to move. It was like the goddamn relativity cadenza all over again. The more Ringo banged out the drum solo of the millenium, the more powerful he became. No one could stop him, he was a god. Ringo, god of the bongos. The most feared of them all.
Something caused Paul to finally turn around (probably Mal missing his cue to play the anvil because he was too distracted by whatever the hell Ringo was up to) and, when he did, his jaw dropped.
“Wot the fuck Ringo?” he shouted. They hadn’t agreed that Ringo could become a celestial being during their recording session. At that moment, John barged back in through the door, ready to give his half-hearted apology to Paul. That was quickly thrown in the trash when John looked up at their drummer, who now resembled a ball of fire, like the sun or something. (Even though it seems appropriate, no, unfortunately George didn’t write Here Comes the Sun about this event - that song had already been recorded at this point). John, as terrified as he was, couldn’t help but let out a loud cackle at the spectacle that was playing out in front of him. He knew that their session for Maxwell’s Silver Hammer had been bad, but he didn’t realize it was this bad, so much so that their drummer was spontaneously combusting.
“Silence, mortal!” Ringo boomed down at John, not even missing a beat on his woodblock solo.
That got John to shut up pretty fast.
“No one dares laugh at the almighty and powerful Ringo!” Ringo continued, his words practically searing through everyone’s skulls. “I can end you with the crash of a cymbal, I can tear this planet apart, piece by piece with only the sheer power of my mind!”
“Good for you, Ringo,” Paul stammered out as he tried to hide behind his piano. Paul was smart to pick up on the fact that, out of all of them, Ringo probably had the biggest score to settle with him. He really sincerely hoped that his charm would be enough to keep Ringo from smiting him but, just to be extra safe, he threw one of his famous winks Ringo’s way. Ringo, in turn, glared at Paul and pulled out a triangle.
“With a single ding on this triangle,” Ringo bellowed out, so loudly that everyone in England could hear him, “our planet will cease to exist.” He floated closer to Paul and Paul in return tried to back up, though he quickly found himself pushed against the wall. “Is that enough umph for you, Paul?” Ringo sneered back at him. Paul tried to respond that Ringo really didn’t have to do that and, actually take 14 had come out pretty good, but he found all of his words trapped in his throat. Ringo’s power was too overwhelming. Ringo seemed satisfied that he had terrified Paul so much that he finally shut his yap and, to really gloat in his glory, his hand slowly crept towards the triangle.
The closer Ringo got to hitting that triangle, the bigger he got. The image was straight out of Alice in Wonderland - in a matter of seconds, Ringo had grown too big to fit in their studio. That didn’t matter much, as the heat coming off of him helped sear away the wooden ceiling so it came crashing around him.
He’s really getting a big head, John mused to himself, though he didn’t dare make his observation out loud, which was a good decision because he would have been a goner otherwise. At this point, Ringo’s feet stretched the entire length of the studio (or, what remained of it) and his head was well above the skyline of London, where everyone could see him and scream with horror before going, “Wait, is that Ringo Starr from the Beatles?”
Ringo was only inches away from the triangle now and London had never been hotter. The ocean was starting to dry up on the coast, fields were bursting in flames at random, and children started asking their parents why they didn’t have more fans in their houses. Alongside the heat, the ground started to quiver before shaking, rattling, and rolling. Cars rocked in the street, smashing into each other, and trees and buildings started to tilt sideways, like wannabe Leaning Towers of Pisa. People were starting to panic, because nothing this exciting had ever happened in England before.
“Ringo!” George tried to call up to his mate, though he knew it was no use, considering how high up Ringo was. “Please, stop it!” John and Paul heard George’s desperate pleas over the commotion and joined in, falling to their knees and clasping their hands together, begging with all the energy they had left.
“We’ll let you have more songs on our album!” John tried.
“I’ll bring you more flowers,” George tried.
“We’ll stop recording Maxwell’s Silver Hammer for once and for all!” Paul tried without really thinking.
Ringo was a millimeter away from making contact with the triangle. But then, he stopped. And, faster than you could say “Maxwell Anderson,” the shaking and heat stopped. Ringo had almost instantly shrunk himself back down to his normal size and was no longer glowing a searing red. He calmly set the triangle down on the stool next to his kit and turned around to look at Paul, John, and George.
“Good,” was all he had to say. And, with that, he turned on his heel and strutted out of the practically demolished studio, whistling a happy tune to himself. Left behind, Paul, John, and George all tried to compose themselves.
“A new rule for the band,” Paul started slowly, “let’s not mess with Ringo.”
“Agreed,” John was quick to respond.
“Agreed,” George repeated.

Cold Eyes (Dark Rey x Reader) [Part 12]
Summary: After Rey opened up with you she is still conflicted with your words and you discover an even softer yet passionate side of her.
Words: 3, 250
Warning: slight smut, not descriptive. And not really good to be honest. awful to be honest
A/N: why did this take me so long? And why is it easier to write smut without fearing screwing the plot? Idk but enjoy. Please pretend you didn't know this was coming.
No nightmares. For the first time in a very long time there were no terrifying images hunting you in your sleep, no painful screams rumbling in your ears, no the dreadful pain that came after. The nightmares were gone, all thanked to the woman who originally caused and starred them. Instead of hurt you like it always happened in your dreams she held your body in a delicate and protective way that allowed you to have some rest, real rest in months.
But now her warmth was gone, leaving you alone under the cold sheets. Half asleep you searched for her on the other side of the bed finding only the memories of the previous night. It was still hard to believe she was there talking with you just like the old times and it made a warm sensation filled your body.
“I see you’re already awake.” you heard Rey said while you were finishing getting ready for a new day in Mustafar. She was on the doorway with a soft smile on her lips.
“Sorry, I know we had training this morning” you told her “Won’t happen again.”
“No, it’s fine. Don’t worry” she said “I had some… work to do anyways.” she said as her eyes darted at her hands, you didn't need to ask what she was talking about you knew what she did. “I have a tactical meeting, can you come with me?” she asked.
“I’m not sure your generals want me there.” you said to her “Specially Hux.”
“I don’t care if they don’t want you, I want you. And you’re my apprentice, therefore they should respect you as much as me.” she told you and you smiled for a moment “I’m going to make sure they understand that. Now, come on.” she told you offering you a hand and after a brief moment you took it.
"Okay" you murmured.
How strange was it to hold her hand as you walked through the dark hallways of the fortress. It seemed so childish in this time of war, and yet it was a really simple action that denoted such affection, you liked it.
Eventually you made it to the meeting room where at least a dozen of generals and commanders waited patiently for their leader, some of them shivered in fear when they saw her stepping into the room. She let go of you to take her place in the head of the table but pointed one of the chairs for you to use.
“Shall we begin?” she said rather serious, a woman stood on her feet and activated the hologram table that revealed a system, some planets had the First Order’s on them, their conquest probably.
Across the table you felt an intense glance laying on you. General Hux stayed focused on you, watching your every move, his green stare letting you know how much he distrusted you. When he noticed your the killer stare you gave him back he grinned at you before he turned his attention back to the matters the meeting was discussing.
****
It was already night when you headed to your room, hoping to have a rest after the long and tedious day, already wondering if Rey would come this time just like she did the day before but probably not, you haven’t seen her after the meeting, she was out on a mission or so she told you moments before you saw her disappearing into a dark ship.
As you approached to your room you noticed a couple of stormtroopers waiting for you outside the door. They rose their weapons as a greeting, the same way they greet a general or even the Supreme Leader herself when they saw you. One of them spoke before you could asked them something.
“Supreme Leader asked us to take you to your new quarters, Miss.” the female voice under the helmet. It was still very strange for you to be treated as a superior, specially by the troopers that you used to fight.
“Why’s that?” you asked perplexed.
“We don’t know, Miss. Just following orders.” the other trooper, a voice that sound rather like a teenage boy told you.
“Lead the way.” you said to him and both of them started to march guiding you to your new room, why? You expected a cell, you’ve been in one before and you stayed there for a quite amount of time but there was a reason way. Now, now was different, you didn't know why would she wanted to change your room or where. This was nothing compared with what you expected as the troopers stopped in front of Rey’s personal chambers.
The soldiers gave you a small bow with their heads before leaving you in front of the big heavy metal hatch that opened slowly before you.
“Y/N” you heard Rey inside the room “Come in, please.” she said and you stepped inside. The room was incredibly big and yet so empty, a big bed was pretty much what was there. Rey was watching outside a big window that revealed the dangerous landscape of the planet.
“You’re back.” you said.
“Easy target,“ she told you “didn’t like the planet, a desert.” you nodded understanding why she came back so soon but didn’t realized how much of an effect it had on her until now. She was quiet, distant, lost on her thoughts as she kept staring at the big window. Rey looked at your for a moment, you were still standing close to the door that closed immediately after you were inside.
“Your room was so small” she told you changing the subject, answering a question that never left your lips. “I thought you’d be better here, with me.” she said returning her sight to the window, she looked beyond affected by this mission.
“Thanks” you said and she nodded slowly, her eyes never meeting yours, you felt the need to make sure everything was right with her even if she was the big bad woman you still hated to see her upset. “Something’s bothering you, Rey. What is it?” you asked softly. You noticed her jaw clenching as she swallowed uneasily.
"I've been thinking" she said looking at the vast darkness in front of her, the red of the lava seemed to trace deadly figures on the ground. "in what you said. I can't stop thinking about those questions, I don't know why, they just keep repeating I'm my head" she told you.
"What do you mean?" You asked confused, many things had happened recently and so quickly.
"A few days ago, you asked me if I regret my actions. Never really answered you."
You remembered the fight that day after the training, you asked her if she felt any remorse of what she had done, that time seemed to be a very long time ago in way different circumstances.
"I do" she continued "I regret a lot of it, but there was not other way."
"There's always another way, Rey" you murmured glancing at her.
She gave you a humorless laugh and then she looked outside the big window again. "You know what's funny? I never considered Jakku my home, it was just sand everywhere and bad people doing whatever it took to survive another day… and maybe it's what I regret the most."
You observed her, the way she was struggling with her words and she kept admiring the dark sky full of stars.
"It was a horrible place, but it was the only home I ever knew" she said, you caught a single tear running down her face that she rushed to clean away. "Sometimes I watch at the sky and imagine it's still there but I know it's not" she gulped trying to contain the lump in her throat "I destroyed it" she looked at you then as a new tear watered her cheek "and I destroyed yours too, Y/N"
Quietly you moved next to her, you felt her eyes laying on you as you were standing next to her. You glanced outside for a moment, to the sky and the void where you supposed your home planet used to be and sighed.
“Feels so strange to watch at the stars knowing it’s no longer there.” you told her as you keep staring at the emptiness of the space.
“Did you had family there?” she asked doubting a bit though she already knew the answer. You gave her a tiny nod and swallowed hard before you rose your voice again.
“My father was a mechanic, he taught me everything I know” you spoke as slowly and calm as your body allowed you. “And mom was a pilot, one of the best I’ve ever know” you told her trying to remember their faces, but you had left them a very long time ago and the memories were blurred.
“And I killed them.” Rey said as she silently cried, her voice was serious and yet there was pain in her too as if every one of your words felt like a dagger on her chest. You had the only thing she ever wished for and she took it away from you. A family. “You have all the rights to hate me after everything I’ve taken from you, I understand it now, Y/N” she told you.
“I don’t hate you” you told her, Rey turned her head in surprise but it was you who was more surprised by your own words. She gave you a bittersweet look.
“I’m in a war with your friends, who used to be mine too.” she added “I held you as a prisoner and I killed not only your family but the whole planet” she said as the tears pooled on her eyes “Why wouldn’t you hate me?”
That was a big question, one you haven’t really ask yourself until this moment. You didn’t need her to remind you the terrible things she had done, you’d probably never forget them and still you didn’t hate her, you couldn’t, not even after all you’ve been through, you were still seeing her as the girl who stole your heart a long time ago in a planet very different from this.
You couldn’t deny the dreadful things her actions caused, not even tried to justify them or thought on forget them, you knew sometimes she looked like a whole different person rather like a monster but deep down she was the same scared girl from Jakku and right now she was next to you sobbing slightly.
“I thought it was clear.” you looked back at this journey and it wasn’t nor an easy one nor short either, felt like years had passed and not even that could erase the feelings for her that were buried deep inside you, covered by the fear and the pain. “You mean so much to me, Rey.” you confessed “I’m in love with you, since the first day you came into my life.” the words left your mouth with honesty and yet your were surprised to admitted it, the first time you confessed your feeling for her was in this same fortress a long time ago.
“The Rey you fell in love is gone, Y/N.” she told you. Carefully you cupped the side of her face, softly cleaning the tears off her face with your thumb.
“No, she is still here and I’m looking at her right now.” you murmured as her hazel eyes admired you for a moment, filled with a mix of emotions that made your heartbeat race a little. Hesitating you leaned closer to her, lips closer to hers for a few seconds before capturing her lips carefully, you kissed her sweetly almost shyly for a moment.
Then you broke away just enough to see her reaction, she kept her eyes closed enjoying the ghost of your lips on hers. When she opened them again you saw astonishment over them as well as tenderness and even for a moment you thought it was love what made her eyes shimmer softly.
She couldn't find proper words to express how much your action meant to her, what it made her feel. She didn't know who to trust in a world of liars and yet your kiss felt real, authentic.
She leaned to brush your lips again, long and delicately while her arms slowly wrapped around your waist pulling you close to her body making you smile between kisses, you enjoyed her closeness, her warmth against your body. A warm shiver ran down your spine when her lips traveled to your jaw and then to you neck, leaving subtle kisses there as well that made you softly gasp.
“Rey” you softly whimpered as she found that sweet spot in the side of her neck and you could feel her smirking against your skin, delighted with the way her name sounded in your lips. But still she stopped her work on you for a moment, a bit of shyness in her voice.
"Sorry" she said "we can just leave this here, if you want"
"No" you mumbled with a smile "I want this." You assured her and gently guided her lips back to your own kissing them passionately as every cell of your body started to urge to meet more of this woman.
You felt your body warming up with every move of her lips on your skin, feeling the need in you growing with each passing moment that seemed like a dream for you.
Kisses became deeper, faster, filled with desire. The gently touches became more intense, eagerly pulling each other’s bodies close until you couldn’t resist more the growing need inside you and the heat between your thighs, a longing to meet her skin, never really realize how touch starved you both were until this moment. You wanted her and you wanted her now. You guided her towards the big bed on the other side of the room, and she seemed so surprised with the unspoken invitation you gave her.
“Are you sure?” she murmured inches away from your lips.
“More than sure.” you told her and a big lustful grin curved her lips and suddenly she didn't seemed shy anymore but way more passionate.
"As you wish, then" she said, a big smirk on her face as her hands roamed gently over your body, tracing figures as they traveled down your back fastly working on your clothes and moments later they laid messily across the floor.
You wanted to help her out, take her out of the long dress she that covered her body, clumsy hands wandered over her back searching for a way to free her body. Rey gave you a small laugh, you were sure she enjoyed the way you were looking so desperately for her.
The moment later the black dress fell to the ground gracefully pooling around her feet leaving her vulnerable and defenseless in front of you, you admired her slim figure covered only by a few pieces of cloth that you were already yearning to take off too.
She crawled on top of your and she gave you a glance full of love before her eyes scanned your exposed body her features filled with desire as she that only made your cheeks flushed red
“You're beautiful, Y/N” she murmured staring down at you before she captured your lips once again hungrily making small whimpers leave your lips.
“And so you are.” you mumbled between kissed,
“But I’m going to make you feel way more beautiful” she told you with a smirk darkened with lust she started to make her way down you body taking her time to leave little pink marks all over your body, from your neck to your breast where she sucked gently and careful on them making you gasp and moan before she keep her way to the middle of your body.
Her hot breath in the lower of your abs made you shiver as her hand went teasingly over your heated core massaging in circles carefully torturing. She stared at you as with such intensity that ignited every hidden passion in you as your chest rose and fell each time faster.
“Rey!” you breathed out as your hips bucked up urging for her touch.
Skilled fingers moved gently in you already heated core as she traced delicate figures in an intoxicating rhythm that poisoned your body with a new wave of pleasure with each stroke and every caress and eventually turned you into a whining mess. She kept you steady into the mattress, hearts thundering, breathe quickening a your combined moans and groans filled the big room completely with the sounds of the lover’s ballad.
A few weeks, even a few days ago the simple idea of this would have seen rather crazy for you, blinded for your pain and fear you wanted to be as far from this woman as possible but now you yearned to feel her closer. Now things had changed, after she opened up with you you couldn’t see her as an enemy but as the woman you once fell in love with. This girl who were taking you closer and closer to your high. Having her between your thighs was the most beautiful image you’ve ever seen and it pleased your senses more than you've ever felt before.
Your high took the breath from your lungs, you could hear yourself calling out her name as your fingers grasp into her hair as the waves of pleasures spreaded all over your body in an euphoric moment.
Slowly she kissed her way up your still shaking body taking care of the sensitive spots on your thighs, your belly and your neck until she finally met your lips again and let you taste yourself before she smiled down at you, with her messy hair and panting on top of you as she admired you with such tenderness in her eyes that made you fall once again for her.
****
Calmed down and with your heartbeat and breath finally coming back down to normal, you laid just a little later huddled up to Rey’s side beneath the dark blankets, you looked at her with a content smile as you softly ran your hand through her soft hair.
"Y/N" she muttered.
"Mm?" You hummed.
"I know this isn't enough and it may mean nothing but… I'm sorry, really" she said looking uneasily at you.
"About…"
"Everything" she cut you off "all the terrible things I've done to you, I'm sorry." She murmured.
She was right, apologizing wouldn't solve anything, nor bring back all those people back to life. The things she did you knew you could never forget or at least it would take time. But it was a start.
You gave her a tiny nod accepting her words.
"The other day in the battlefield I made you a promise, Y/N" she muttered laying a hand on your cheek.
"Yeah, I remember" you told her and you did remember the day she saved you from those troopers.
"I mean it" she said caressing your face "I won't let anyone hurt you again." She told you sincerely. For a moment you just stared at her as a warm sensation grew in your chest. You closed the distance between you to pull her into a sweet delicate kiss before you shifted a little closer to her feeling how your tired body started to melt in her arms and soon you were asleep.

TROS AU, Secret Kylux. A story of Kylo becoming Ben, Ben defeating Palpatine, and then going into labour with Rey and Hux coming at the end to see his child and the Poe, Finn and Rey realizing good came out of this fight. Mpreg!Kylo/Ben
(also available to read on AO3!)
Palpatine laughs as he looks down upon the two unconscious bodies before him. He’s now at full strength, having fed off the life forces of his granddaughter and Vader’s grandson—and the child that Ben carries. The boy had done well to shroud his growing figure in illusion, masking himself with a Force-veil to keep his pregnancy hidden. But as he lies prone on the ground and slowly coming back into consciousness, his concentration has been taken away—and Palpatine gazes upon Vader’s great grandchild.
“Look what you have made,” Palpatine contorts his fingers, lifting Ben from the ground and into the air, constricting his arms behind his back. There’s no hiding his secret now, as much as Ben wriggles and tries to fight against Palpatine’s hold. Ben Solo—the last Skywalker—carries another heir to his bloodline. “A child. Not of the Force but of a lover. I see…Oh, yes. I see red hair, a cold stare, stripes of rank on a sleeve—a General. A secret relationship that has been hidden for years.”
“Shut up,” Ben growls. His voice is weak, strained. "D-don't talk about him."
“Ah. You believe him to be dead.”
“He is dead.”
“No, dear boy,” Palpatine taunts, closing his eyes. “He is with the Rebellion. He’s looking for you.”
Ben’s expression falters from one of anger to one of disbelief, and the old Sith lord cackles.
“But what a shame that he will not get to meet your child,” Palpatine taunts, lifting his hand. Ben groans as he struggles; the boy is visibly afraid now, the Emperor can sense it, see it in the way Ben tries to buck and kick. His desperation is weak for someone of his bloodline. Spreading his bony fingers, Palpatine snarls, staring at the boy, “And as I once fell, so falls the last Skywalkers.”
The Emperor laughs. With a simple flick of his fingers, Ben is sent hurdling backwards, unable to do anything but curl in on himself as he hits the rocky edge of a precipice with a horrifying crack to his back and he falls down and down into the darkness of the crevice below, with nothing but hope that his child survives this—and just as he hits the rocks below and pain spreads like wildfire through his back and his leg, his thoughts linger on Hux.
He's alive...
|………..|
The last few hours are all a blur to Hux. When he’d planned to become a spy for the Resistance, it was all for Ren’s benefit; to save him from the monster that he’d become—to save their unborn child from becoming a weapon, or worse. No one knew of Ren’s secret, that he carried General Hux’s child, using the Force to conceal his true form, doing whatever was necessary to hide his pregnant bump from the galaxy.
Then, Ren’s delusions of grandeur got in the way. Bringing down the First Order would be the only was of setting Ren free from the bonds of the darkness that came with Supreme Leader person that he tried so hard to fulfil—to save him and their child. Everything else that came after was impromptu.
Setting Dameron and his friends free from the First Order’s hold hadn’t been planned and running away from his life’s work certainly wasn’t on Hux’s agenda when he awoke this morning but here he is now, standing on the top hatch of the Millennium Falcon wearing a set of Han Solo’s clothes, reaching his hands out for Finn and Jannah to grab; if all of this means that he can still have Ren, then so be it. Everything else can burn.
“I never thought I’d say this,” Finn says through his heavy, exhausted gasps as they descend down into the safety of the Falcon. “But I’m glad you were here, Hux.”
“Me too,” Hux smiles, shaking Finn’s hand when the latter offers him his. “And I mean that.”
Finn smiles, giving an affirming nod, but his composure is soon overtaken by shock, by confusion.
“No.” Finn halts down the hallway of the Falcon, staring at the ground and into nothingness. Behind him, Jannah sets a hand on his shoulder and shares a worried look with Hux.
“What is it?” Hux asks, confused by the man’s sudden sadness.
“Rey…” Finn looks up at him, eyes brimming with tears in his eyes. “It’s Rey. She’s…gone.”
“Hells,” Hux curses, closing his eyes in grief. If something has been strong enough to kill the strongest Jedi ever to grace the galaxy in recent times, then Ren may be in just as much trouble. “We have to hurry. We have to find them.”
“Hux,” Finn grabs Hux’s arm as Jannah rushes to the cockpit to tell Chewbacca and Lando to pilot them down to Exegol’s surface. “If Rey is—”
“She may not be,” Hux shakes his head, having to hold onto the wall as the Falcon careens to one side and then downwards, heading to where they think Palpatine’s lair is. “The Force can be wrong sometimes. Hold onto hope.”
“Hope?” Finn scoffs. “You, ex-General of the First Order, are telling me to hope? Since when do you believe in hope?”
Hux sighs, looking away, “Since the one I love was named in hope.”
It takes Finn a moment of thought to realise just who Hux is speaking of, “Ben. Ben Solo.”
“He’s Ren to me,” Hux corrects softly, “But yes. Ben Solo, Organa, Skywalker, Kylo Ren. Whatever anyone wishes to call him, he is mine and I am his. All of this has made me see that I care only for him. I don’t want anything else anymore. Just him.”
Finn’s hand comes to rest on Hux’s shoulder, “Believe me, I understand.”
Silence settles between the two as Chewbacca roars loudly from the cockpit, matching the screech of the Falcon’s engines as she’s brought into land on the rumbling surface of the mysterious planet of Exegol. Hux won’t waste another moment without knowing whether Ren is safe or not so he darts down to the lowering ramp as soon as the ship’s landing gear touches the ground, ignoring Jannah’s calls for him to wait—Finn is just as desperate as he is.
Together, the two men who were once enemies charge into the Emperor’s lair together, side-by-side. Hux’s heart hammers wildly as they jump down the crevice as safely as they can, though he has little regard for his own safety at this point; all that matters is finding Ren—alive.
“Over there,” Finn pulls on Hux’s arm, seeing light emitting from between a thin cavity in the furthest wall. “I can feel her…She’s…”
“Come on,” Hux is already running towards the light, ignoring the tall statues of leering Sith Lords that watch them make their way through their guarded path; nothing can stop them now.
The chamber is a wreck. Rocks and debris lay fallen around the two figures that are in the centre of the room; the one dressed in white sits up, stroking through the hair of someone who lies in her lap. The gentle sounds of a baby’s fussing fills the air.
Frozen on the spot, Hux stares in relief. Beside him, Finn sprits forward and skids to his knees beside Rey, throwing his arms around her neck and holding her so tightly that she laughs because she can’t breathe. They pull apart, and Finn kisses her so passionately that it brings tears of reprieve to Hux’s eyes, having guessed what the Jedi truly meant to Finn with the way he spoke about her, but he doesn’t dwell on them for a moment longer.
Ren is lying on the cold ground with his head in Rey’s lap, his soft jumper torn and only one leg in his pants, blood and mess staining his pale skin but he’s never been one to care about blood; why worry during childbirth? In his arms, bundled in Rey’s torn, white hood, is their baby. She whimpers and fusses, wriggling in Ren’s hold and he shushes her, kissing her tiny head of mousy brown hair so very gently. With heavy, tear-filled eyes, Ren looks up at Hux, his lip quivering.
“I’m sorry, Hux,” Ren says immediately, before Hux’s knees even touch the ground.
“Ren,” Hux sighs, relieved just to say his name, touching his love’s cheek though mindful of the fresh cuts that adorn his skin. “I thought I’d lost you.”
“He can’t move,” Rey says, stopping Hux’s hand when he moves to help Ren to sit up. “His back is hurt. And his leg.”
Hux’s heart sinks, seeing Ren’s scowl of pain as he tries to defy Rey’s words and move—but she’s right. He’s too injured to move.
“You gave birth here,” Hux looks around, then down to where their daughter has dozed off in Ren’s arms. “Is she—?”
“She’s fine,” Ren says. “H-here. Take her.”
He struggles again to lift their newborn baby to Hux, but Finn helps, making sure that there’s no chance that Ren’s weakened state will allow him to drop his child. She fits so perfect in Hux’s arms, wrapped in her make-shift bundle, tiny tufts of brown hair sticking out from under her hood.
“Precious thing,” Hux whispers, touching her cheek. He can’t believe that he missed the birth of his daughter but had he been here, he’s sure that Palpatine would have tortured him for Ren’s benefit. “She’s beautiful. Ren—”
“Ben.”
Hux looks up, frowning at Ren. “Pardon?”
“I…” Ren pouts, closing his eyes. “It’s Ben. I’m Ben. And I’m sorry, Hux. I’m sorry for everything.”
Ben. The name doesn’t sound unusual in Hux’s mind as he repeats it over and over again, looking from his love and down to their sleeping baby.
“I don’t care what you call yourself,” Hux says, voice breaking with emotion. With his free hand, he takes hold of Ben’s and grips it tightly, gazes locked. “Ren, Ben—whatever. I will love you forever, and if you’ll have me, I want to be with you forever.”
Ben sobs, as though releasing all the worry and stress that he’s been holding inside in regards to what his love will think of him for renouncing the dark side, but Hux has had a change of heart too; all they need is each other.
“What happened?” Finn pipes up then, his arm around Rey’s waist, giving her a little kiss on the cheek.
“Palpatine tried to come back—I had the power of all the Jedi inside of me to kill him but…it was too much, but Ben saved me,” Rey says, smiling, looking down at her comrade. Ben smiles back up at her. “We’re a dyad. Siblings in the Force. He brought me back.”
“She’s the light that the galaxy needs,” Ben says. “My sister. I couldn’t let her die.”
“But your back, your leg,” Hux notes only now that Ben’s right leg looks set at a worrying angle.
“Palpatine threw me off that crag. I hit the rocks, fell straight down. Something’s broken, I-I can feel it—ahh!” He grits his teeth as he tries to move but can’t, crying out when he jostles his hip. “I went into labour after I climbed back up and saved Rey.”
“Can’t you heal him now?” Hux doesn’t mean to sound so demanding; old habits and all that.
Rey shakes her head, “I’m too weak.”
“We’ll carry him out,” Finn chips in. “Lando has the Falcon waiting.”
Hux agrees, kissing his daughter on the head one last time before he gives her to Finn to hold, turning his attention to Ben. But before he and Rey can help Ben up to his feet, Ben takes hold of Hux’s hand and urges him closer, until he can touch Hux’s cheek and bring him in until they’re nose-to-nose.
“I thought you were dead,” Ben says, speaking softly. “I thought I’d have to live without you.”
“Never, my darling,” Hux kisses Ben’s forehead, smiling against his skin when he hears Ben sigh contently. “I’ll always come back to you.”

Home- Chapter 5 (Kylo Ren/Ben Solo x F!Oc)
A/n: This is the end of The Force Awakenes
Words: 2,134
Chapter 4 // Chapter 6
An alarm causes the lights to turn red and make it harder to see. I take advantage of the situation and hit his face, Kylo complains and moves away and with what I have left of strength and dignity, I get up and run through the halls. The only good idea that could occur at a time like this.
He is clearly better than me, I couldn’t win that battle. I tried, Leia. The plan didn't work, it's time to run away.
I don't know how, but I get to a rather strange part of the barracks, boxes are arranged in different corners… I walk slowly to avoid crossing someone, unfortunately I lost my blaster in the fight, so I ought to be careful. Everything is silent, until I almost had a heart attack when I hit against someone.
"Chewie, you almost escarde me to death!” He just growls, I can understand that he’s scolding me, "I just had to take care of something- it didn't work, now we must go!”
The Wookie explained the plan to me: Han and him were setting detonators all over that sector, they had to me in one place.
"Well, let's go with Han!”
I follow Chewie, we hear voices just before we reach a hall. A single runner crosses a ... cliff? Who designs these things?
"Ben!" Han's voice echoes. The Wookie and I get closer. Han is downstairs and Kylo Ren, who has the stupid mask again, is in the corridor.
"Han Solo, I waited a long time for this day to come.”
Oh, no. I lean on the rail. Han walks until he’s close to Kylo. I have a bad feeling. I look up at the floors above, Rey and Finn have entered and also observe the scene, Chewie approaches my side.
"Take off your mask, you don't need it.” If I were in another situation I’d laugh, Kylo doesn't understand that mask is ridiculous.
"What do you think you'll see if I do it?"
"My son's face," Han replies. Kylo obeys and removes the mask.
“Your son is gone, he was weak and dumb like his father. You all wanted to change me, but you failed, so I destroyed him,” explains Kylo, Han approaches carefully.
“That's what Snoke wants you to believe. But it is not true. My son is alive ”
“Don't. The supreme leader is wise.”
The whole conversation continues in a tense moment, I know that if I approach everything can fall, they’re in a very dangerous position.
“Snoke is using you for your power. When he has what he wants, he will destroy you. You know it's true ”
"It's too late" his voice breaks and my heart does too.
Now I can see how a part of Ben comes out. The memory of when we were young comes and a knot forms in my stomach.
"It is not. Get out of here with Kiara and me. Come home. We miss you"
"I've been torn apart" he says, “I want to get rid of this suffering. I know what I have to do, but I don't know if I have the strength. Will you help me?"
“Yes, whatever you need" His mask falls and my breathing is cut short.
Kylo takes out his saber and offers it to his father. They both take it, but something distracts us all: the light that illuminated them disappears. For a few moments, nobody moves. I feel a tingling in my hands and a little pain in my temple.
Ben.
Kylo looks up and his eyes meet mine for a few seconds, then turns to Han.
Suddenly the red saber lights up and goes through Han's body. I hold my breath. No no no no! Rey screams and Chewie roars in pain.
Han's body falls. Tears fall down my cheeks and intense pain fill my entire body. I step back a few feet away. Chewie roars again and with his gun shoots at Kylo, hitting him on the leg. He screams and falls to his knees. All my attention is focused on Kylo and anger clouds all my senses.
“You! Fucking shit, he was your father!”
I shout as I try to go downstairs, but Chewbacca takes me by the arm. A Stormtrooper starts shooting at us, the Wookie drives me away protecting me.
“Leave me, Chewie, I'm going to kill him. I swear I will!”
My attempts fail and he drags me to a safe place as more soldiers arrive. Then he stops and presses a button that activates the bombs. Everything starts to explode. Chewie gets distracted, I get out of his grip and run back. Despite the explosions I see Kylo's black figure leave the barracks, I don’t hesitate to follow him.
I walk through the snow-covered forest, the darkness makes me lose it, but everything changes when he turns on his lightsaber, its light shines on two other people. Rey and Finn are within walking a little further behind Kylo.
"We aren’t done yet" None have noticed my presence. My body trembles.
“You're a monster," Rey says resentfully.
“We are. Han Solo can't save you.” Rey lifts her blaster, but Kylo throws it through the air and hits a tree. Finn goes with her.
"You're more idiotic than I thought," I said and he stops, turns and share a look.
"No one can defend you anymore"
"I can do it alone” He raises his saber, "How could you do that to one of the people who loved you the most?"
“Everything’s part of the training, it was necessary”
“You're a bastard!" I don't mind being unarmed. I run to him and manage to take him by the shoulders, but he easily pushes me away.
"Stupid girl! Do you really think you can against my power? ”
"Maybe I don’t," All this talk served as a distraction so Finn could get close. Out of nowhere, a blue light comes out behind Kylo. The boy has Luke's saber.
“That lightsaber. It belongs to me,” says Kylo.
"Come find it,” Finn confronts Kylo. The sabers collide producing noise. Clearly Kylo has more experience than Finn.
While they fight away, I get desperate and look everywhere waiting for a miracle.
"Come on, there has to be something... magic, I know-" I frown and sigh. I can't believe I have to do this again.
I sit on the floor on my knees, close my eyes and try to concentrate. It’s time to ask for help. I hear a scream from Finn, causing me to open my eyes. Kylo's saber is hurting him. I get up, but I'm still not sure what to do.
Finn flees the attack and both continue fighting until Kylo manages to remove his weapon and hurts the boy in the back. Finn falls unconscious in the snow.
"Okay, enough of games" I see where the blue saber fell. I sigh, all the noise around me goes away. I raise my arm in that direction. I can feel it.
The snow falling, the trees fallen by the fight, I feel Rey, Finn, I can feel that Kylo also wants the saber.
"Not this time,” Finally, the force allows me to take the saber that belonged to the master Luke. My hand trembles a little and I see the weapon with surprise. I shake my head and return to Kylo.
I position myself, remembering the training of many years ago, I press the button and the saber lights up. Kylo also lights his.
"Let's see your dance steps, Ben," I joke, he growls and rushes over to me. The clash of arms begins.
He’s strong and determined to finish with me, but I am faster, dodge attacks and defend myself.
"Silly girl," he says with difficulty.
"You've said it before,” We run through the forest, cutting trees with sabers. I feel the sweat run down my back, forehead and neck. The fact of not having trained for a long time is already taking account.
While we fight, the ground shakes, I try to see what happens, but Kylo makes it difficult. I see from a distance how far the ground is breaking into thousands pieces. I kick him in the stomach to get away.
Poe. They had to continue with the plan, the planet is being destroyed. I smile, but it doesn't last long. A stabbing pain centers on my right thigh. I let out a shriek and fall to the ground, throwing my gun in the process.
The saber's wound draws smoke, I try to touch it, but the burning is unbearable. I look up and Kylo watches me panting.
"I could destroy you or take you with the supreme leader to finish your training-“
"I'm sorry, I have plans," I say through my teeth.
He growls and tenses his body.
“It'll be the first option then," He raises his weapon, but before he could do anything, Luke's saber is shot in the distance. We both turn to meet Rey.
"You won’t,” She says and runs to Kylo, a new fight begins, but this time they’re in danger of falling into the abyss. In a second, both are on the edge.
"I can show you the ways of the force,” What is it with offering its services?
Something seems to connect with Rey and suddenly, he manages to get out of Kylo's attack. With great skill she attacks, now she’s superior to Kylo, which makes me feel like a proud mom. The girl manages to beat Kylo. I let out a shriek when she hurts Kylo in the face. As I can, I get up and walk limping towards her.
The man is on the ground with serious wounds, the biggest is the one that goes from his forehead, through his nose, under his right eye and through his cheek. The three of us share a look, but mine focuses on him.
It hurts to see it that way… No! He’s no longer that boy I met when I was just a child.
Every connection is cut when the ground shakes again, this time very close to us. My legs fail and the earth is destroyed right where I am. Everything happened too fast.
My body falls and I try to reach anything to hold myself without success. I scream with despair and the last thing I hear is Rey's screams.
"Kiara!" Then I felt a heavy blow to my head, and everything went black.
__________________
As soon as Kylo Ren senses danger, he ignores the pain in his body and sits on the snow, which is shaking by the earthquake.
Then he sees that the black-haired girl screams and her body falls into the abyss, but just before that happens, Kylo uses the force and makes the girl levitate a little, enough to take her hand, pull her body until she’s by his side.
He clenches his teeth at the effort and again the pain comes. He looks up and the scavenger sees him from the other side of the abyss, seems not to believe what she’s seeing, looks everywhere, but sees no other way out, doubts seeing Kiara's body, but in the end she turns and runs away.
Kiara's unconscious body is still close, a thread of blood runs down her forehead to her chin. Kylo growls and kneels beside her. Taking deep breaths and with the help of force, he puts his arms under the girl's neck and knees and lifts her in his arms. He grunts and closes his eyes for a few moments, but then continues on his way. His body trembles with the pain and the destruction of the planet.
Before everything collapsed, Kylo Ren arrives on a First Order ship with a new crew on board.
______________________
Back at the Resistance base, Rey tells everything that happened to General Organa. Everyone feels the intense pain for the losses of a great battle, Han was the most significant loss for some, but what surprised most were the following words of Rey:
“He saved her- Kiara was going to fall, but Kylo saved her. The last thing I could see was that he carried her on his arms and left.”
The others murmur surprised by the actions of the man. But Leia, sitting near the control panel smiles.
“He's going to torture her, we must go," says Poe, drawing attention, Rey nods.
"No," says Leia and they both look at her strangely.
"Poe is right, Kylo Ren won’t hesitate to hurt her,” Leia sees the two young men still with a smile. “You're smiling. Why?"
Leia laughs and gets up.
“She'll be fine, Rey.”
"How can you be so sure?" Poe asks.
"Because my son fell in love with her before the darkness took over his mind.”

Unexpected Turn of Events
━━━━━━━ ✧・゚: ✧・゚:**:・゚✧:・゚✧ ━━━━━━━
Bored. Supremely bored. That was what she was feeling as of that moment as she watched the rain fall from her window seat, a mug of hot chocolate in her hands. She watched the rain fall and stared at the raindrops on her window. A sigh escaped her lips as she turned her eyes from the window and to the hot chocolate in her hands. Blowing it slightly, she took a sip before leaning her head back to the wall behind her.
It had been raining for quite a while now which dampened the girl's mood. While she wasn't the most outgoing of the bunch, she did, however, wanted to go outside particularly on that day but fate wasn't on her side it seems as the rain fell right asleep she was about to leave. A few minutes later, she found herself in her current position. Curled up in her window seat, a cup of hot chocolate in hand, and a blanket around her to shield herself from the cold that came with the rain. Not to mention she was bored out of her mind. Her eyes flickered over to where her vast collection of books were and was tempted to read or re-read a book or two but she knew she'd probably give up on it halfway. Yeah, that's right. The bookworm, also known as the girl is so bored, not even books can help her. Oh the horror!
Her thought process made her crack a smile before she shook her head at herself. Boredom and Isolation really made her weird. She wondered what she could do. Her eyes raked her entire apartment as she tried to find a way to keep herself entertained, all the while taking a sip from her mug. What to do? What to do?
As she was finding something to entertain herself, padded footsteps can be heard coming from the hallway making her perk up with a smile. Whatever it is, it clearly wasn't a threat as the girl seemed relaxed despite hearing the footsteps. "Hey, baby. Slept well?" She cooed at the seemingly jogging pup once the pup was near her. The pup was a black and white Havanese pup and was a cutie as well. The pup smiled at the sight of her owner before jumping up and landing on the girl's laps making said girl laugh. "I missed you too."
The girl — a blonde of average beauty, if she does say so herself — smiled at her pup before finishing her mug of hot chocolate. She placed it down the small table she had near her before readjusting her sitting position so that she was no longer slouching and rather sitting up. The blanket moved and we finally caught a glimpse of what she was wearing. The blonde wore a baggy sweatshirt and a short to go with it. Her hair was in a messy bun as she nuzzled her face on her pup's exposed stomach. "Cute baby," She cooed as she smiled at her pup who smiled back, her tongue sticking out. Her pup then sat up and licked her face making her laugh and lean back, holding her pup in place so the pet doesn't fall. "Stop it!" She exclaimed through her giggles which made her pup stop licking her face and tilt her head. Before the blonde could even comprehend what was happening, her puppy ran off somewhere. A sigh escaped her lips as she sat up from her window seat. The blonde began to stretch and yawn as she realized how long she had been curling up for.
Blinking the tiredness away from her stunning crystal blue eyes, she put on her flip flops before walking off to follow her puppy. Who knows what would happen if she left her puppy alone for long? "Cookie? Where you, baby girl?" She called out for her pup, momentarily smiling as she called out the name of her pup, Cookie. It was childish, she knew but the moment she saw her pup, cookies were the first to come in mind which then led to her name. She walked around her apartment to try and find her pup but to no avail. Where could have Cookie ran off to? The blonde furrowed her eyebrows as she began to worry about her pup. Yet, she need not worry any longer for instead of finding Cookie, the pup found her.
A sigh escaped her lips as she stared at her mischievous, nearly a year old, pup who simply tilted her head, not knowing that she had basically almost made the blonde panic. "Don't scare me like that," She spoke softly as she began walking over to Cookie but the ever so mischievous pup only smiled before running off somewhere. Not really in the mood to run, the blonde owner merely just followed her pup, not bothering to run. She wondered where Cookie was going to as normally the pup doesn't run off...unless she wanted to show her something. The thought made the blonde curious as she quickened her footsteps.
Her crystal blue eyes caught sight of Cookie's furry leg turning around a corner to — wait, that's the storage room. Why was Cookie going to the storage room? Even more curious, the blonde followed the pup and put a hand on her hips as she watched Cookie put up her paw on the storage room's door as if to will it to open. Mentally melting at the cute sight of her baby, the blonde snapped out of her trance before going over and opening the door for her pup. Cookie was obviously overjoyed at this and she immediately dashed inside the moment she was able to. "At least wait for me." A laugh escaped her lips as she followed her pup. Looking around the room, the blonde was suddenly hit with a rush of nostalgia as she looked over the many "trash" inside the storage room, all of which she didn't have the guts to throw away. After all, each and every one of these so-called trash held great value in the blonde's heart and she simply couldn't let them go.
Her amused eyes slowly began to haze as she recalled all of the meanings behind all of the items. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she forgot that her pup was there as well. She only ever remembered when her feet felt something furry hit her. Looking down, she saw Cookie look at her making the blonde smile sheepishly in awkwardness. "Sorry, baby." It was also in that moment that she noticed that Cookie was standing in front of a box filled with yet another set of items she didn't have the courage to throw away.
"What do you have there?" She asked softly as if Cookie would be able to answer, all the while she slowly began to crouch down to get a better look at the box. Cookie didn't respond as jshe merely put up her paw on the box as if to tell her to look inside. Sighing, the blonde crossed her legs underneath her so she was sitting in a more comfortable position. She then gestured to her lap and Cookie immediately obliged, moving to sit on her lap yet again as the blonde began to look into the box. It didn't take long for the blonde to realize that all the items in the box were her "souvenirs" from her school that she stayed in since the start of middle school to the end of highschool before she transferred away for college. The school has always been close to her heart, closer than her college school had been, for she had met many people and made friends. In that school, she learned to open up and let people in which greatly helped in the making of the woman she was today. She rummaged through the box, finding things that made her wish she was young again but was careful not to hurt Cookie.
The blonde smiled brightly as she looked at the elegant black necklace box. She opened them only to grin even wider than before as she saw the necklace inside. The necklace wasn't anything fancy. It was just a simple necklace with a blue heart in the middle. She lifted the necklace in the air as she stared at it in awe. "I forgot I had this," She muttered to herself before looking down at her pup who stared right back at her. "What do you think? Should I?" Seemingly already knowing what her owner was asking, Cookie merely licked her face in agreement which made the blonde laugh. "Okay, okay," She spoke as Cookie stopped licking her. The blonde sighed before putting the necklace around her neck. She marvelled at the simple beauty of the necklace before looking at the box only to furrow when she saw a note inside the necklace box. Grabbing the note with great delicacy, she put down the necklace box before opening the note and smiling at what was written in an ever so familiar scribble.
I thought you'd like the unnecessary gift.
~ E. C.
Tears gather up in her eyes as she continued to smile. He actually went out of his way to buy her a gift when it wasn't an occasion. How sweet. She put the note on her lips and kissed it as the tears fell from her eyes. Guilt swallowed her whole when she remembered how she only merely grabbed the gift years from his hands and didn't even open it until now. All because she was petty and jealous... Just how foolish had she been?
Looking down, the blonde put the note back in the necklace box before snuggling to Cookie. "You made me cry. Why did you bring me here?" She asked her pup through her furs but was never the less grateful Cookie led her here. It just reminded her of something she had to do... Something she had to fix...
Cookie obviously wasn't done yet as she got out of the blonde's hold before nudging the box again and turning to look at the blonde in the eye. The blonde merely stared back with her still teary eyes before sighing and looking at the box again. This time, the one that caught her attention was a worn down photograph. Still feeling numb, the blonde slowly but surely grabbed the photograph and held it with so much care as if it would break if she didn't.
The picture was of two children. Possibly teenagers, around 15. Both of them were wearing uniforms. The girl of the two wore a beautiful light blue button up classic above the knee length dress with a light blue blazer with a dark blue trimming and the school's emblem embroidered on the left pocket. She also wore dark blue stockings and a lightly blue shoe with a small heel. She was a beauty. Even as a teenager, or so it seemed, the girl could be considered gorgeous. She had light hair, blonde it seemed and stunning blue eyes. The girl was standing near a boy with her posture straight and hands behind her back. Her face wasn't all that expressive but anyone can tell she was happy from the glint in her eyes and the quirk on her lips. The blonde who stared at the photograph knew exactly who the girl was. After all, how could anyone forget what they looked like back then?
She then looked at the boy and she felt like she couldn't breathe. Unlike the girl, unlike her, the boy had no problem with showing emotions as he smiled brightly in the photo. Yet the bot wasn't smiling at the photo, she was smiling at the girl, fondness and excitement clear in his face. The boy wore the same blazer as the girl but instead of a dress underneath, the boy had light blue pants and probably a random shirt inside the blazer. Though, the boy also had the same shoes as the girl, minus the heel of course. The young blonde woman who stared at the photograph almost wanted to cry right then and there yet she didn't as she turned the photo around to see two different handwriting, one was a scribble and the other a beautiful cursive writing.
“No matter what.”
Éric and Amélie
5th year and 6th year, respectively
The writing had the blonde, now known as Amélie, cry silently as she put her head down, her tears landing on the photograph her somehow, it wasn't ruined. How? She didn't have the time to think about it as she put the photograph aside and hug Cookie who didn't complain one bit. Everything came rushing back to her as she remembered her so called Highschool sweetheart, Éric. The were one of the school's power couples despite Éric being a year younger so it was a surprise when they found out they broke up. If only they knew that the reason for their breakup was because Amélie got jealous over Éric's friends which promptly led to the two arguing and breaking up... Tears fell ever faster from her eyes as she cursed her young self. A sob escaped her lips as she pressed her face on Cookie's fur. The breakup, despite being years ago, still hurt for Amélie as Éric was the one who convinced her to open up... To be the woman she was today... And she ruined her chance of happily ever after just because she got too insecure. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
Éric probably hated her now for being too clingy, too needy, too insecure but it wasn't as if she could help it. After all, her childhood bullies did make it so she'd always doubt herself... Amélie took a deep breath as she finally removed her face from Cookie's fur. "I'm sorry, baby," She cooed softly as she ran her hands through Cookie's fur. The pup merely shook her head and left. Cookie's actions confused and hurt Amélie but didn't bother to follow the pup as she stared at all the old school items around her, her hand subconsciously clasped around the necklace. She noticed how all of the school items around her were mostly form Éric and if not from him then it's an item that holds a memory with him in it. A broken chuckle escaped her lips as she shook her head. "How foolish of me," She spoke to herself, referring to her old self before getting ready to store all of it and leave it alone like she had done all those years ago. But, before she could do that, Cookie came running in with something in her mouth. She ran over to Amélie and placed down the item only to reveal it's a phone before nudging Amélie and nodding to the phone. Confused, the blonde slowly picked up the phone and looked at Cookie in confusion. The pup seemed to roll her eyes, if that was even possible, before putting her paw on the photograph and more specifically, on Éric.
Understanding what Cookie wants her to do, Amélie shook her head. "No. Besides, he probably changed his number since then. It has been years," She immediately denied only to fall silent at Cookie's stare. Defeated, she sighed. "Fine, I'll call but he might not answer anyways," She spoke as she began dialing the number she hadn't failed for years.
Hearing the familiar ringing, she placed the phone to her ear and stared at Cookie as the seconds passed. The blonde seemed to be saying that she knew that he wouldn't pick up to her pup through the use of her eyes yet the pup stood strong. Rolling her eyes, Amélie took a note of how Cookie could be so stubborn sometimes before realizing the the phone has been ringing for quite a while now. As it reached it's final ring, Amélie slowly began to pull the phone from her ears, trying to hide her disappointment despite the fact she expressed that she didn't want to call him a few moments ago but then—
"Hello?"
The familiar voice made Amélie's eyes widen as it registered in her mind. Despite it being years, Amélie knew that voice. It was definitely Éric. She also noticed how his voice grew deeper but didn't dwell on it that much. No, rather she was too busy panicking that Éric actually answered her phone call. Sure, she wanted to talk but what was she supposed to say? What if he heard her voice and knew who she was before just hanging up? Or worse, what if he began yelling at her the moment she revealed who she was? What if?—
"Look, if this is a prank, I'm not in the mood right now, I'm too—"
Amélie glanced at her triumphant looking pup, momentarily rolling her eyes before responding to Éric, not really think much about it.
"Éric?"
Silence came from the other line which made Amélie nervous. Oh great. Now he knew who she was. She shouldn't have said anything! But then again, if she didn't, Éric would have hung up...yet he is silent. Too silent. Her eyes widened. What if he's too shocked right now and once he realizes it's her, he'll start yelling? She had to hung up. But she can't leave without a small goodbye...
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have called I—"
"Amélie?"
The way he spoke her name so tenderly like all those years ago made her almost want to cry. Tears already in her eyes at the mere sound of her name coming from his lips, she nodded but then she remembered that he couldn't see her.
"Yeah, it's me."
"Why are you calling?"
Because I miss and still in love with you.
Those were what she wanted to say but she didn't dare utter any of that as she stayed silent. Sure, what she thought was the truth but not the entire truth. After all, she had been practically forced by her pup to call him. Not that she'd tell him though. She'd rather not have him think her as crazy.
"Amélie?"
"Uhm..."
It was one of those times that Amélie hated herself. Really? You're calling your ex and the only answer you can think of to his question is uhm? Wow, Amélie. Just wow. Just great. Fantastic. You're doing great, honey.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have called. I just— I should go—"
"Wait!"
His voice stopped her from hanging up as she waited for him to continue. Yet he never did. A sigh escaped her lips.
"Look, I'm sorry to bother you, I'll just—"
"Do you want to meet up?"
Amélie swore she stopped breathing as she heard the offer her ex gave her. Sure, she heard it was bad to go back together with your ex but they were only meeting up. It wasn't as if they'd immediately get together. No matter how much she wanted to. While Amélie still love Éric, she's more cautious now. She didn't want to feel the pain of heartbreak again. Not when she wasn't even fully over the first one yet. Realizing she had yet to answer, Amélie smiled as she does so.
"If I say yes, are you going to stop cutting me off?"
A laugh resounded from the other line making her heat soar. It's been too long since she'd heard his laugh. Too long.
"That's a yes."
"Then I agree."
Her immediate answer caused Éric to smile in relief, not that Amélie knew. Like Amélie, Éric was also still not over their breakup and meeting up with her might just fix all their ties. Even if they won't go back together, at least they'd have each other back in their lives and that was all they needed.
"I'll pick you up at 8 tomorrow then."
"You don't even know where I live."
"Trust me, Amélie. I know."
"Have you been stalking me, Éric?"
"I thought it was romantic."
A laugh escaped Amélie's lips as she shook her head, not knowing how her laugh caused Éric to smile widely from the other end of the line.
"I'll just see you tomorrow at 8, you dork."
"See you then."
With that, their phone call ended with the two young adults smiling widely as if they were still teenagers. Amélie glanced at her pup and ruffled Cookie's fur. "Thanks for that, baby," She spoke as she slowly stood up. Amélie looked at Cookie before looking around the storage room, an idea in the making. Her crystal blue eyes glanced at the door and smiled. They still had plenty of time before they go to sleep. "What do you say we redecorate our apartment?"
A bark followed by laughter can be heard coming from their apartment as the pair began to grab the items in the storage room to use for their redecorating.
Who knew that was started out to be a boring day would have such an unexpected turn of events?

MASTERLIST
Scott's voiceover:
This is a story of a man, who actually wasn't just a man. He was so much more.
Misunderstood, misinterpreted, taken for granted even, he had never known what love and compassion looked like. Until he first laid eyes on his beautiful girl.
Footage of Loki meeting you for the first time in the lounge. No greetings were exchanged as you had hurriedly told him to hold Zuko for you so that you could warm his milk and all he had done was look at you with utter malice but held the little puppy, though at an arm's distance, till you came back.
Her presence changed his entire world. Now, everything existed around her. His entire universe revolved around her. Everything he did, was for her.
Camera cuts to the footage of Loki grabbing your tea mug without permission, eating the last chocolate chip cookie on your plate, watching with measured suspicion as you made him some tea and even gifted him a mug of his own- something which he never used but was always happy to eat or drink whatever you made, from your plate and mugs, of course.
And all of this was going really smoothly until the latent evil sorcerer struck down its wrath upon their relationship.
Another cut of Loki taking out your adoption papers and turning into Tony before showing them to you, making you question your entire existence till that every moment.
All the wonderful strings that once joined them together now had come undone, one by one.
The camera again cuts to your figure, coming out of the library after confronting Loki, with tears in your eyes as you threw a small bouquet of flowers- you'd made for him as a note of thanks for effortlessly turning your idea of the wedding arch into a reality- into the nearest trash can that you passed.
Footage from the facility's camera showing the front view of Jim striking you unconscious, watching you lay out cold on the floor, taking your form in through his mad eyes before dragging you inside Tony's office.
And the magician, hurting as he was, did not know what to do except using everything in his power to redeem himself in her eyes.
The camera shows Loki asking Peter's help with something, who in turn goes to Wanda for assistance and comes back with a list for the God, who ultimately finds something worthy of you but leaves it on his bed, the gift never reaching you.
The footage cuts to Jim running out of Tony's office, pale and filled with fear only to run smack into Loki, who presents himself in front of him, tackling him to the floor before dragging him up by his collar and throwing him off the railing down to the ground because Natasha yelled 'Loki! No killing today!' when he took out his most lethal dagger out of a pocket dimension, ready to impale him without a second thought.
Well, she's gone for now. Leaving the magician with a broken heart and the evil sorcerer with a huge ego. Stupid sorcerer supreme.
Scott: *focuses back on the camera after the anger leaves him* what? What do you mean what am I talking about? I'm talking about the inevitable war going on between me and Strange.
Another footage of Cassie introducing himself to Stephen, who kneels down to properly shake her hand.
"Nice to meet you Cassie," Strange states as he passes her a warm smile.
"You too, Doctor Strange. Also don’t be mad at my dad. It may seem like he doesn't like you but he really admires your magic. Keep that in mind next time he asks you for a duel," Cassie responds, making Stephen tilt his head in amusement at the little one.
"I will! You are a really sensible girl, Cassie," Steven exclaimed, "and a wonderful daughter!"
Cassie smiles and the camera catches Scott at a distance behind the two of them, stopping in his tracks as he witnesses his daughter hug Strange before saying, "And you are a wonderful wizard!" Making the Ant-Man's face drop all the bright colours.
*looks back at the camera and frowns* Wait. Who did you think I was talking about?
The deadly silence brings a ringing into the ears in the lounge where Clint, Loki, Scott and Stephen stand while Peter and May sit in silence as the assassin eyes the God of Mischief with a blank yet malignant stare. Scott tries to do the same with Stephen, who is not even paying attention to the people in the room as he stares into the fireplace. Peter and May uncomfortably watch the standoff from where they sit on the sofas.
May: Oh, I'm just staying the night here. Steph-I mean Dr Strange offered me a short portal ride back to my place *smiles as she remembers the conversation* and we were about to leave when Barton came asking for Loki. *scrunches her face in worry* Yeah, stuff's about to go down.
"Umm," Peter's frail voice broke the numbing silence, "guys? I think we should go look for her. It's nearly three in the morning and the forest road from here to the city outskirts is not that safe."
Peter: For her. Not safe for Y/N because she's a normal human being, you know. *shrugs* *camera zooms in on to his blinking eyes*
*exhales in defeat* There was this huge rabbit that came out of nowhere once it almost gave me a heart attack! I swear it was huge! With red eyes!
*whispers wide-eyed* huge!
"The boy's right. I'll ask Wong to locate h-"
"No need," Clint finally spoke, still not ready to break his stare away from Loki, who was still in his suit, missing the jacket, standing without a crease of worry on his face, looking into oblivion with his arms crossed across his chest, "I know where she would've gone."
"I'm coming with you."
Loki's words made all heads spin- save Stephen's, whose eyes just flicked for a moment at the turn the mute discussion had just taken.
Before Clint could unclench his tense jaw and say something to Loki, May got up.
"Of course you'll go help look for her!" She exclaimed, somehow surprised at her own words. "Apologise to her face to face. She deserves that."
Scott finally looked away from the doctor and saw Clint ease up a bit at May's words.
"I-I'm coming too," Peter nearly jumped up, "if Aunt May is okay with it?" His voice trailed off as he looked at her with his signature puppy eyes.
"Yeah. Yeah. Go."
May: Peter is legit the only sane person in the room right now. And if an assassin and a freaking God of Mischief who can kill each other within a blink of an eye are going to travel together, I should really not be sending my nephew with them but Scott promised me he'll take care of him. *nods head in reassurance*
*smile turns into a plastered emotion* Scott is the same person who's having a cold war with Stephen because he heard his daughter compliment the wizard. *worry rushes over her brows with the smile still plastered*
I feel like I should be worried about Peter and Scott?
*stands up and starts calling someone as she moves out of the room*
"Hey! It's me, May. Yeah, I know I may be the last person you want to hear this from but..." is heard as she walks out.
Peter: *standing in the Dorm's corridor* This is the reason I've decided to bring Aunt May to the compound more often. So she can finally see how great these people are. How well they gel together and respect the hell out of each other. *smiles*
Meanwhile, in the background, Clint and Loki are walking in his direction. "We're leaving in five," Clint orders, "anyone not sitting in the car by the fifth minute can portal their ass to the Atlantic."
Peter: *wide, scared eyes watch Clint walk away as Loki rolls his eyes and enters his room* *turns back to the camera and passes a weak smile* That's Mr Barton's way of showing respect. M-mad respect. *nods matter-of-factly*
*all cheeriness disappears* I should probably go sit in the car *walks and out of the Dorm in a hurry*
At the City outskirts near a Bus Stop
A small tavern with an entire line of bikes marked the parking in front of it as rock music was heard outside and typical bikers along with a few emo goths came in and out. One could see the late night travellers at the side of the lit bus stop-cum-gas station looking at the tavern crowd with curiosity, disgust, amusement or just blank stares. But amongst all the soft mayhem, the focus was turned on your figure in blue jeans and a jacket with the hoodie over your head as you talked to someone over the phone.
"How long till you arrive, V?"
You casually kicked the free rocks off the broken road while two distant figures- who turned out to be two biker men in their late thirties- came in your direction as you were hearing whatever the person in the other end of the call was telling you with a hint of frustration.
"Okay, fine. Twenty more minutes and then I'm leaving you here," you snap before ending the call and jumping at the sight of the pair of men standing next to you.
"Hey, kid," one with a bandana around his head over crew cut black hair announced as casually as he could with a toothpick between his teeth, "you travelling alone?"
Your eyes moved between him and his soft blonde partner- a lot paler than the bandana guy with a dark moustache that made him look older than he supposedly was- before crossing your arms across your chest as you exhaled a visible warm breath in the cold night. "Who's asking?"
"That guy's been followin' ya for some time," the soft blonde spoke as he tilted his head towards the camera zoomed in on the conversation, making the camera guy zoom out and duck behind a car.
"What the heck, Javier?!" You shouted from where you stood. "Get your ass here!"
"Seriously man, why are you here?" You asked the guy behind the camera. "Sweety, I can take care of myself. Now I'll be the one worrying about you the entire night till I know you reach back home safely." A moment of silence passed as the camera recorded the shift in your eyes from frustration to mild surprise. You turned to look into the lens before your hand went back to your neck under the hoodie.
"Y-yeah. It's your home. Temporarily."
"Hey, hey Missy," the bikers called out to you, "if yer not boardin’ a bus or whatever why don't you two head inside the tavern and have somethin'. Keep yerselves warm, eh? It ain't safe here at this time in the night."
Just then the camera zoomed in on another figure. A well-built man parking his bike, talking to himself as he got down and walked towards the bar as "No we are not eating any humans today," was what the camera heard from that man opening the tavern doors, pausing, speaking a low hummed 'what' before turning to look straight into the lens that was zooming out at the fastest speed possible and turning towards you.
"Lot of weird peeps roamin' about," the blonde concluded before looking straight into the camera with a haunting look sweeping over his face.
"Okay," you answered, nodding. "Help me with my bag Rodriguez. Don’t worry, I'll look out for you till I find you a ride home. And I don't think you've eaten anything since noon," you mentioned before taking Javier's hand and guiding his reluctant body with you, "I'm sure the rest of the lot is sleeping on drunken bellies."
Clint's SUV
The deadly silence inside the car made Peter gulp in the nervousness inside his throat as Clint drove through the lonely forest road with Scott riding shotgun-making sad smileys on the foggy window- and Loki sitting at the back.
Finally mustering all his courage, Peter shifted forward in his seat.
"Can we put on some mus-"
"No," Clint shut him down.
Loki, who was sitting stoically with his arms across his chest, deviated his glare towards Clint, who visibly felt a change in temperature around him, finally speaking. "Don't take your falsely routed frustration out on a kid. He just wants to lighten the mood." His dead yet smooth tone made Clint twitch for a second.
He was about to say something when he was interrupted.
"Alright!" Peter announced, "okay! Stop! Aunt May says you have to think about what you're going to say in anger because what you spew in the heat of the moment, you can never take back."
"Oh, I never intended to tak-"
"Mr Barton, please shut up for a moment, would you?"
Three pairs of eyes shot wide open at the words the spiderling just spoke.
"And Mr Lang can you please stop wallowing in self-pity like a twelve-year-old?"
Scott's hurt face was interrupted too.
"Y/N just found out yesterday she is adopted and today, without as much as a goodbye, she left all of us in the middle of the night! She was waiting for Mr and Mrs Stark to leave so that no one could stop her when she did. She even left Zuko with you, Mr Loki. How hurt was she that she did not inform even one of us? And you all still have the audacity to fight amongst yourselves about your own problems. Yes, I know Mr Barton you are pissed at Loki for what he did but honestly now that's none of your business. And Scott, oh my God, please, stop. Cassie knows how much you admire Mr Stephen and that's the only reason she loves Mr Strange."
Stephen: I know for a fact someone somewhere called me Mr Strange just now. *blank expression* *deep inhale*
‘Hey,’ a familiar voice calls out of the focus of the camera, making it turn to the doorway of the recording room to find May standing at the entrance.
Stephen gets up and walks towards her with the softest ‘hey’ back before closing the door in the camera’s face as he turns back towards May. “Sorry,” he whispers near May’s ear as the camera catches the doctor’s hand rest lightly on the small of May’s back, “the evening took quite an unexpected turn. Would you like me to take you home?”
“Oh, it’s okay,” May responds as she unconsciously straightens Stephen’s bowtie, “I would like to stay till Y/N gets back home if that’s alright with you? I’m a little worried about her.”
A light smirk, wrinkling the corners of his eyes, builds upon his lips. “Of course,” he says as May puts her defeated head over his chest, making him rub her back to soothe her, catching the camera recording everything, “I’m sure she’s fine, May. And I’m pretty sure she is meant to come back.” With his free hand, he motions something in the air and the blinders come up in front of the camera out of nowhere. “It’s the boys I’m worried about.”
"And Mr Loki. Tone down the sass and apologise to her the moment you see her. Seriously guys, get your shit together," Peter finally concluded.
A silent moment passed in the car in which everyone contemplated Peter's words when Scott's brows suddenly constricted themselves and he looked in the rearview mirror towards the spiderling. "How many of those red cocktails did you have?"
Peter turned towards Scott's reflection, feeling the rest of the eyes waiting for his answer, making him move uncomfortably as he tried to clear his throat.
"Seven..." He finally answered.
Clint and Scott arched their brows in amusement.
"...teen," came a whisper.
Clint and Scott lost their minds as Peter tried to explain them he didn't know that drink was a cocktail till it was too late while Loki tiredly looked at the dashcam- that zoomed in to his face to record the exhaustion on his features and expressionless sarcasm dripping from his eyes.
Loki: This kid is going to kill himself one day. By drowning. While trying to save a fish. From a five feet deep pond. Because he didn't realise there were huge rocks on the water bed before he decided to dive in. Head first.
*sighs*
The Shady Tavern, a few minutes later
"Don't drink that," you declared to the camera before taking the drink away from Javier's visible tan hands and giving it to a passing waitress and offering him yours, "here, take mine. Don't leave your drinks unattended, especially not in a place you're not sure about."
You looked at your watch before turning your head toward the side door. The delirious man who'd entered the tavern earlier gulped down his beer bottle on the bar before turning his head in your direction, keeping the camera on its tail to be discreet in recording his movements.
"I'll just come, okay? You can have the rest of the chips. Don't get any on the jacket. It's Loki's," you stated before getting out of the booth and walking out of the side door. The camera caught the man at the bar looking in your direction, his gaze not even faltering as your figure disappeared from his view and even five guys walked out after you. Just when the sixth guy disappeared outside did he get up from his seat and started walking towards the door, giving one cold hard stare in the camera's direction before disappearing, forcing the camera to get up and almost break into a run to walk out of the door.
As soon as they swung open, a pair of rough, tattooed arms grabbed the camera and Javier, forcing them into a shadowed corner.
"Shh! Shhh!!" The face of the man, who was following you, came into view, his index resting on his lips as he tilted his head cautiously in the direction you'd gone before coming back near the screen.
"My name's Eddie Brock," he declared in a low husky tone, "I’m a reporter. Relax, I'm not going to hurt you.”
Eddie Brock raised his hands in front of the camera, signalling he meant no harm.
An exchange between him and Javier went off camera, to which Eddie nodded and proceeded to communicate in ASL with the young man behind the camera.
“Yes. Those two men you met outside are undercover cops. I've been investigating a gang of child molesters, repeated abusers and pornographers. The biker gang that owns this tavern is helping me uncover the members. Your friend was targeted the moment you two made yourself known here in front of them. They are more interested in getting her because she is younger of the two of you.”
Eddie's expressions change into a confused surprise as he looks at Javier, reading his statement.
“She’s not? Oh. Okay. Good. Now listen to me. All the six guys who followed your friend out of the tavern are the suspected targets and you are in no way to go near them. No, yes, she'll be fine. I'm going to make sure she's safe while you stay here. Okay? Do not move from here till I tell you to move." Eddie’s voice came as the camera zoomed in to your figure on your toes looking for something in the far off distance in the direction of the gas station while the five men casually surrounded you from a considerable distance as a sky blue van came teetering and stopped right in front of you.
“Hey. Hey! Did you hear what I just said?” the camera came back to Eddie as he waved his hands in front of Javier before signing what he just said.
“Good. Now the few bikers in there are calling for backup. Let's just keep everything under control till they arrive. No, he's a good guy.”
Just as he uttered the last sentence a string of black goo started to build up on his right shoulder, till it moulded itself into a Muppet-like creature with two white eyes, fangs for teeth and a long pink tongue, bending in the direction of the camera and tilting its head with genuine curiosity.
"Eddiiieeeee," a hoarse and heavy voice erupted from the muppet, causing the camera to jerk a bit backwards, "Let’s go eat bad guys. I’m hungryyyy."
"Stay. Here," Eddie asserted through his hands, before turning in your direction and disappearing in the night.
The camera zoomed back to your figure that stepped away from the van when the clean-shaved driver gave you his most controlled, automatically creepy, smile. “Hey, sugar! Want to go for a ride?”
The change in your body’s posture was noted as you squared your shoulders and shifted away from the vehicle only to have your movement blocked by another man, who moved towards you from behind while whispering, “Come on baby girl, get in the van.”
The camera moved ahead, keeping itself in the shadows as it saw the men come closer to you, one sliding open the van’s door behind you, one placing himself inside the vehicle while two others covered your sides to give you no space to run away. The last man stood at a distance, almost missed by the camera had it not caught his lit cigar in the darkness right at the edge of the streetlight.
“Get away from me,” you announced with a blank expression as you tried to shuffle yourself away from the side when two of those men nearest to you grabbed you.
“Hey!” you shouted as they tried to push you back into the van, making the camera distort the recording as it turned wildly to look for the man with the weird muppet. With no sign of him, Javier got out of his hiding spot, his audible breathing faltering as he broke into a run towards your figure being pulled into the vehicle with a hand covering your cries for help- your eyes reflecting the horror in them as you tried to fight off the hands coming for you- before it disappeared behind the men that were pushing you inside.
(Yup. That’s...yup)

Takes One To Know One Chapter 3
Negan ate his fill, and what I couldn’t finish of my own. I offered to call for more, but he refused the offer.
“Well, you can’t refuse me everything,” his eyes widened and so did his smile, but I rolled my eyes and took up a walkie talkie I had tucked in a drawer. Batteries, even the rechargeable ones we used, were sparse so we used this form of communication sparingly. Calling down to the laundry and getting an affirmative that they heard me, I asked for a full change of clothing, eyeing the lanky man sitting comfortably in front of me. “Yes, skin out,” I smiled as Becca repeated my orders back, confirming the order before asking if she should have a toiletry set gathered as well. “That would be great, and-” I stopped and tilted my head as I bit my lip, shaking my head. I had to admit there was ONE thing I would be at a loss to guess the size of his outfit. “Shoe size?” He gave me a size and I told Becca. “Have Greg or Max bring those up, please?”
Once I’d signed off, tucked the walkie back into the drawer once it was put in standby mode, I gathered our dishes. “Does this mean I won’t be spending the night in the clink?” I chuckled.
“We don’t really have a jail,” I shrugged. “If we don’t trust you, you die or you get put back outside the gates.” Either way was a pretty permanent end. “You won’t have free reign,” I warned, in case he got the urge to go for a stroll during the dark hours. “But you will be in the same wing as my advisors.”
“And you?” Another shake of my head as I piled everything on the tray. “You don’t stay in the same area as your ‘advisors’?”
Licking my lip I looked up to see that he was studying me. “I wasn’t disagreeing with you, I was thinking that you’re incorrigible.” Handing him the tray, I picked up my weapon and nodded toward the door. “Yes, we share the same wing. Everyone has their own space, you’ll have your own room, but I don’t think wandering is in your best interest.” He carried the tray while we moved back down to the cafeteria where the second shift of dinner was being served.
When we came into the room, no one kneeled, it wasn’t required during meals. But a few of the little ones did stop eating to come hug my knees as Negan moved toward the kitchen to return the dishes. When he turned back he saw me surrounded by tiny people who were telling me all the things they were learning in school.
“Your ABCs sound amazing, Abigail,” I rustled the redhead’s curls as she smiled up at me with a huge gap where she’d recently lost her second front tooth. “Even with that missing tooth.” The blond haired, blue eyed boy who was tugging at my free hand, demanding attention had Negan grinning at the sight. “Yes, Caleb?”
“Who’s that?” His eyes focused on Negan, far filthier than even our current gardening group and I knelt down beside the little one to whisper in his ear.
“He’s not scary, I promise.” Caleb’s hand was tight on my fingers and he nodded as I reassured him of his safety. “If he makes one bad move, we’ll make sure he doesn’t make another, alright?”
“OK, Meg,” he turned and kissed my cheek then hugged me tight around my neck. Then the others gave me hugs in turn before returning to their dinners before they grew cold. I was smiling at how normal and simple it seemed, the kids and their happiness, before returning to our newest member.
“Come on,” I turned back to take him toward the living quarters, back upstairs but on the opposite side of the building, where I had taken residence and John, Greg, and Max all had rooms. “One of the guys will bring up your things, well your newer things, but I can give you the tour of your space.” Negan didn’t find it difficult to keep pace with me, his legs were longer than mine by miles, but he also didn’t make it seem like he was doing me a favor either. “There are more rooms than we use, all over the grounds honestly, but that’s because people make bad choices.”
He snorted, and I knew he understood. “Even with the young ones coming fast and furious?”
“I guess you noticed that we have a few more buns in some ovens,” I couldn’t stop the smile from spreading across my face. “Yeah, while we have our fair share of idiots, we also have good people who understand that we’re fucking lucky as hell. They take advantage of our safety and our abundance of supplies and life keeps coming.”
“How bad is the mortality rate?” I sighed. Even before the world went to shit, maternal and infant mortality wasn’t great, but now? “That good?”
“It’s actually about the same as before,” I bit my lip and thought about how hard I was working to figure out how to work past it, to end up with mother and baby every single time, healthy and happy. “Thousands of years of evolution and we have NEVER figured out how to make it safer.” I was shaking my head when we came to the hallway that the men had claimed for their own. “Here we are, the testosterone territory.” Negan chuckled as I pointed out their rooms, separated by at least one other room between each, and with plenty of extras available. “Any preference?”
“You letting me pick?” I could tell he thought it was a test of some sort, but I shrugged. Why did I care, I didn’t live on this stretch of corridor. Negan studied the rooms that were available and I watched him, considering each from his point of view, as if it were my own in his place. I’d pass by the ones occupied by the other three men, which he did without so much as a pause. While it would be tempting to pick the room nearest the entrance of the hallway or the one at end, that would also poise you to be the first or last in the line of defense and make you on edge or on watch, personally. The bathrooms were joint, every two rooms shared, which was another reason the three men who lived along the path didn’t live close together, so I’d pick a room that wasn’t shared with one of them on that basis as well.
In the end he chose a room somewhat midway down the hallway, with no one to share his bathroom with, where he could see both entrance and exit. A room I would have felt as comfortable in as I thought he would.
“Each room has two twin beds, since they were set up for college students, so you can push them together to have a bigger one.” I offered, walking in to show him around. “A desk, a chair, the usual. The bedding is clean, but if it needs to be aired, just take it off and we can walk it down to the laundry tomorrow.”
“Are you gonna be my babysitter, Megan?” I rolled my eyes again. “Don’t think I EVER had a babysitter that looked like you-”
“Hey,” John’s head popped around the doorframe and I turned to see him glancing around the room as if he was expecting to find me naked and Negan doing who knew what. “Greg’s bringing up the bath shit, but here-” He came in with a load of clothes and a pair of newer boots. “Becca asked me to bring these up when I happened by.” He set them down on the nearest bed, careful not to toss them or show aggression, since he knew I wouldn’t appreciate it with Negan being given a room so close to the three of them. “I should hit the shower.” His eyes met mine and I nodded. A clean John was a far more appreciated John. “I’ll find you-”
“Later.” I promised, and his face, so serious when he came in with Negan’s new clothes broke into a smile that could light up a room. He left and Negan’s soft laugh reminded me of our audience. “As I was saying,” I went on, flipping the light switch beside the open door. “You have electricity, no limits, but we’re on solar and we try not to go nuts with any of our shit.”
“Just gonna pretend like your boy there didn’t rush off to wash his nuts so he could fuck you senseless later for a reward?” I leaned against the wall and waited for him to get whatever he needed to off his chest. “Damn, was I that fucking-”
“Are you finished?” I had shit to do before John could come claim his prize, as it were, and the tour of Negan’s room was taking longer than I planned. He’d stopped talking so I went on. “The bathroom has the same ‘rules’, water’s hot and it’s safe, but we try not to go for the hours long showers or baths.” He was staring at me and I moved on. “Your toiletries will have soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, and washing cloth, plus a towel. Toilet paper or what amounts for it is in the room there, and while we all pitch in, your rooms are YOUR responsibility. You clean up after yourself. I’ll show you the ropes for that tomorrow, while I’m babysitting you.” I turned to go, but I stopped for a moment. “I really hope that you aren’t here to try something stupid, Negan, cause it would suck balls to have to kill the male version of myself.”
“I don’t get to see where the much hotter version of myself sleeps?” He shot back as I walked out his door, I didn’t answer, just laughed as I shook my head and left him to figure out how he planned on making his new room his own.
I was still amused when I got to my rooms. Negan was an interesting distraction so far, I’d give him that. And I hadn’t been completely teasing when I told him that I hoped he wasn’t holding some sort of dual purpose that would make his life forfeit. Taking down my hair and brushing out the kinks that came from keeping it piled up during the day so I could relax my scalp and change into something a little more comfortable for John to take off of me, I thought about what I could allow Negan to ask for without having his brain matter ruin my boots.
If he was lying and was a member of another group, a group that needed to barter supplies or wanted to merge, we could negotiate, possibly. I considered our vacant spaces and our surplus of supplies along with our greenhouses and our gardens, not to mention our livestock. I had a number, population wise that would be workable. While I hated lying, this new world of ours seemed to make it necessary.
I knew there was a slight chance that he wanted my place at the top, that he was a true threat to me and mine, but something told me that if Negan wanted to reign supreme he wouldn’t be subtle. He’d come in and take what he wanted, but then again, he might be subtle and use that charisma that I’d seen peeking out during our time together. I didn’t have plans to let him run rampant and free, at least not until I could feel him out better. He could shadow me for a while, at least until I had a better idea of what his plans were.
I changed out of my functional and day clothes into a nightie that was anything but battle ready. Black, satin and lace, it came to just above my knees with thin straps and hinting at the curve of my breasts, I shook out my long loose hair and flexed my bare feet on the soft rug that the former resident had left behind. I was pouring a drink when the sound of John’s knuckles against my door announced his arrival and I sighed, thinking that at least now I could have some enjoyable distraction.
John had gone back to his room, pouting once again that I wasn’t willing to let him spend the night, but I liked to sleep alone. And I had explained to him, and the other two, that our situation wasn’t love or a relationship in the traditional sense. It was a mutual agreement. If John, or Greg, or Max wanted more then they could go find it. Somewhere else.
I was back in the nightie, pouring a second drink, when another knock came to the door. I sighed heavily. John had done a marvelous job of relaxing me, but I knew that Max expected his own fair share of reward and Greg probably thought he’d get his own ‘gold star’ as it were. Dealing with another needy male ego wasn’t something I looked forward to, but ignoring the knock would only lead to something more unpleasant.
Taking my drink with me, I opened the door fully prepared to tell whoever waited on the other side that I was far too tired to play another round of praise for the good boy, but when I opened the door I came up shorter than usual.
His eyes were crinkled with mirth, and he bit his lip as he took in the black satin that barely covered me. Negan, leaning against my door frame as if he did it every night, smelling like soap and mint and looking like he was hungrier than he had been during dinner.
“Is that hooch?” His eyes landed on the glass in my hand and I shook my head and huffed out a breath. “Damn, you really do have everything here, don’t you?”

Loosely my TBR for 2017
Whelp, I did this last year and writing it up makes me actually have to commit. Not that I actually got around to reading all of the books on my TBR for 2016 and I read a ton that were not on my TBR, this is just loosely outlining what I want to read this year. Starting with... (In chronological order of their release dates)
By Your Side by Kasie West Kasie West is a spectacular author. Her novels are perfect for the hopeless romantics who appreciate cliches. Which means I, obviously love her books. Recently, West wrote P.S. I Like You, a fantastic book that was hopelessly cliche, but romantic and adorable none the less. West has also written things like The Fill-In Boyfriend, On the Fence, Pivot Point & The Distance Between Us. All of which I have read and enjoyed. I fully expect to be enjoying this novel as well.
Release Date: January 31, 2017 Yes, it's already out, but I've been seriously busy with school so... I'll get to it as soon as I can.
Synopsis: In this irresistible story, Kasie West explores the timeless question of what to do when you fall for the person you least expect. Witty and romantic, this paperback original from a fan favorite is perfect for fans of Stephanie Perkins and Morgan Matson.
When Autumn Collins finds herself accidentally locked in the library for an entire weekend, she doesn’t think things could get any worse. But that’s before she realizes that Dax Miller is locked in with her. Autumn doesn’t know much about Dax except that he’s trouble. Between the rumors about the fight he was in (and that brief stint in juvie that followed it) and his reputation as a loner, he’s not exactly the ideal person to be stuck with. Still, she just keeps reminding herself that it is only a matter of time before Jeff, her almost-boyfriend, realizes he left her in the library and comes to rescue her.
Only he doesn’t come. No one does.
Instead it becomes clear that Autumn is going to have to spend the next couple of days living off vending-machine food and making conversation with a boy who clearly wants nothing to do with her. Except there is more to Dax than meets the eye. As he and Autumn first grudgingly, and then not so grudgingly, open up to each other, Autumn is struck by their surprising connection. But can their feelings for each other survive once the weekend is over and Autumn’s old life, and old love interest, threaten to pull her from Dax’s side?
King's Cage by Victoria Aveyard The third (and final?) book in the Red Queen Series. (Glass Sword #2) I have such mixed feelings about these books... I mean really they're very cliche, and while I don't mind some cliches, these books just overuse way too many common tropes. Also, this series is overhyped. It is not nearly as good as basically everything says it is. While yeah, it's fine, it's nothing extraordinary. There are a lot of interesting ideas, but the execution is not overly impressive to me. Still, I intend to read this... someday.
Release Date: February 7, 2017 Yes, again it's out. But I don't have time to read it right now, and am in no real rush.
Synopsis: In this breathless third installment to Victoria Aveyard’s bestselling Red Queen series, allegiances are tested on every side. And when the Lightning Girl's spark is gone, who will light the way for the rebellion?
Mare Barrow is a prisoner, powerless without her lightning, tormented by her lethal mistakes. She lives at the mercy of a boy she once loved, a boy made of lies and betrayal. Now a king, Maven Calore continues weaving his dead mother's web in an attempt to maintain control over his country—and his prisoner.
As Mare bears the weight of Silent Stone in the palace, her once-ragtag band of newbloods and Reds continue organizing, training, and expanding. They prepare for war, no longer able to linger in the shadows. And Cal, the exiled prince with his own claim on Mare's heart, will stop at nothing to bring her back.
When blood turns on blood, and ability on ability, there may be no one left to put out the fire—leaving Norta as Mare knows it to burn all the way down.
Hunted by Meagan Spooner Meagan Spooner also co-wrote These Broken Stars-- basically but not really Titanic in space-- with Aimee Kaufman. It is a fantastic trilogy, and I really am looking forward to seeing Meagan's personal writing style. The story also seems appealing to me.
Release Date: March 14, 2017
Synopsis: Beauty knows the Beast’s forest in her bones—and in her blood. Though she grew up with the city’s highest aristocrats, far from her father’s old lodge, she knows that the forest holds secrets and that her father is the only hunter who’s ever come close to discovering them.
So when her father loses his fortune and moves Yeva and her sisters back to the outskirts of town, Yeva is secretly relieved. Out in the wilderness, there’s no pressure to make idle chatter with vapid baronessas…or to submit to marrying a wealthy gentleman. But Yeva’s father’s misfortune may have cost him his mind, and when he goes missing in the woods, Yeva sets her sights on one prey: the creature he’d been obsessively tracking just before his disappearance.
Deaf to her sisters’ protests, Yeva hunts this strange Beast back into his own territory—a cursed valley, a ruined castle, and a world of creatures that Yeva’s only heard about in fairy tales. A world that can bring her ruin or salvation. Who will survive: the Beauty, or the Beast?
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas OH. MY. GOD. I think we all knew this book would be on my list. How could it not? Last year, the previous book in this trilogy (actually, now there are new books added on), A Court of Mist and Fury, is now my all time favorite book. (Book 1-- A Court of Thorns and Roses) Of course I'm going to read ACOWAR as soon as I can get my hands on it. Besides, Sarah J. Maas is one of my all time favorite authors. I doubt she can disappoint with this spectacular cast of characters. (and if you stalk my Tumblr, you know I'm still not over ACOMAF)
Release Date: May 2, 2017 WHY ISN'T THIS DAY HERE YET?! Side Note: The Coloring Book is also released on this day. I fully intend to purchase this as well.
Synopsis: Looming war threatens all Feyre holds dear in the third volume of the #1 New York Times bestselling A Court of Thorns and Rosesseries.
Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin's maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit-and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well.
As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords-and hunt for allies in unexpected places.
In this thrilling third book in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from Sarah J. Maas, the earth will be painted red as mighty armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy them all.
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han Another book I'm really looking forward to-- the third book in the To All the Boys I've Loved Before Trilogy. I honestly love these books so much, they feel so real, so it's easy to get attached to all the characters and relationships. And they're SO CUTE. Honestly, just please read these books if you like cutesy romance. They're cutesy romance supreme.
Release Date: May 2, 2017 As much as I love these books, I love A Court of Mist and Fury more, meaning I will most definitely be reading A Court of Wings and Ruin first, since these two books are released on the same day. Oh, and also, WHY ARE ALL THE BOOKS RELEASED IN MAY THIS YEAR?!
Synopsis: Lara Jean’s letter-writing days aren’t over in this surprise follow-up to the New York Times bestselling To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and P.S. I Still Love You.
Lara Jean is having the best senior year a girl could ever hope for. She is head over heels in love with her boyfriend, Peter; her dad’s finally getting remarried to their next door neighbor, Ms. Rothschild; and Margot’s coming home for the summer just in time for the wedding.
But change is looming on the horizon. And while Lara Jean is having fun and keeping busy helping plan her father’s wedding, she can’t ignore the big life decisions she has to make. Most pressingly, where she wants to go to college and what that means for her relationship with Peter. She watched her sister Margot go through these growing pains. Now Lara Jean’s the one who’ll be graduating high school and leaving for college and leaving her family—and possibly the boy she loves—behind.
When your heart and your head are saying two different things, which one should you listen to?
The Crown's Fate by Evelyn Skye Over the summer, I read The Crown's Game, a fascinatingly magical story of death and romance that takes place in Russia sometime in the past. I was hooked, not in love it, but I quite like it. And I'm very interested to see what comes next.
Release Date: Yet another May release, May 16, 2017 Synopsis: (SPOILERS TO BOOK ONE) Perfect for fans of Shadow and Bone and Red Queen, The Crown’s Fate is the thrilling sequel to the New York Times bestselling The Crown’s Game, an atmospheric historical fantasy set in Imperial Russia.
Russia is on the brink of great change. Pasha’s coronation approaches, and Vika is now the Imperial Enchanter, but the role she once coveted may be more difficult—and dangerous—than she ever expected.
Pasha is grappling with his own problems—his legitimacy is in doubt, the girl he loves loathes him, and he believes his best friend is dead. When a challenger to the throne emerges—and with the magic in Russia growing rapidly—Pasha must do whatever it takes to keep his position and protect his kingdom.
For Nikolai, the ending of the Crown’s Game stung deeply. Although he just managed to escape death, Nikolai remains alone, a shadow hidden in a not-quite-real world of his own creation. But when he’s given a second chance at life—tied to a dark price—Nikolai must decide just how far he’s willing to go to return to the world.
With revolution on the rise, dangerous new magic rearing up, and a tsardom up for the taking, Vika, Nikolai, and Pasha must fight—or face the destruction of not only their world but also themselves.
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare Of course this book is also on my list. Cassandra Clare is the woman who got me obsessed with reading, and the first book in this series, Lady Midnight, was fantastic (as expected.) I look forward to seeing more of this story. While Cassandra's writing style and stories have not exactly what I have been into lately, her stories will always have a special place in my heart. It may just be because it's been a long time since I've read a new book of hers (a year of something), and in that time I got obsessed with another book (A Court of Mist and Fury), but I still love her writing... so I have high hopes for this book.
Release Date: May 23, 2017 Another May Date
Oh, also the coloring book for The Mortal Instruments comes out on April 25, 2017.
Synopsis: Sunny Los Angeles can be a dark place indeed in Cassandra Clare’s Lord of Shadows, the sequel to the #1 New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling Lady Midnight.
Emma Carstairs has finally avenged her parents. She thought she’d be at peace. But she is anything but calm. Torn between her desire for her parabatai Julian and her desire to protect him from the brutal consequences of parabatai relationships, she has begun dating his brother, Mark. But Mark has spent the past five years trapped in Faerie; can he ever truly be a Shadowhunter again?
And the faerie courts are not silent. The Unseelie King is tired of the Cold Peace, and will no longer concede to the Shadowhunters’ demands. Caught between the demands of faerie and the laws of the Clave, Emma, Julian, and Mark must find a way to come together to defend everything they hold dear—before it’s too late.
Reign of Serpents by Eleanor Herman Wow. I can't believe this series is coming to a close. These books are an intriguing fantastical twist on the teen years of Alexander the Great, a historical figure that I have a great respect and liking for. Both books, Legacy of Kings and Empire of Dust, I tore through incredibly quickly. They're riveting. I highly recommend them.
Release Date: June 27, 2017
Synopsis: New York Times bestselling author Eleanor Herman entwines the real scandals of history with epic fantasy in this action-packed follow-up to EMPIRE OF DUST.
In REIGN OF SERPENTS, the ancient power of Snake Blood threatens the known world. While Prince Alexander struggles with a very deadly inner demon, his betrothed, Zofia, is on her way to him, to unite their kingdoms…even as she begins to realize where her true allegiance lies. The fierce Cynane meets her match-not in her future husband, the deranged king of Illyria, but in her great-great-grandfather, Talus, possessor of Smoke Blood, who will teach her the true meaning of betrayal. And marooned together on an island in the Mediterranean, romantic tension blooms between Katerina and Hephaestion as they learn of lost civilizations and discover a device that could help them do the impossible: kill the last living god.
In a cruel, yet rather ironic twist of fate, Now I Rise by Kiersten White, also is released on the exact same day as Reign of Serpents. Why is this funny? Because this is another historical fiction mixed with fantasy about a big historical figure, except instead of being about Alexander, this series is about Vladimir the Impaler... If Vlad was a girl. Very interesting... I'm not sure which book I'll read first, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what mood I'm in on the day. Release Date: June 27, 2017 Synopsis: Lada Dracul has no allies. No throne. All she has is what she’s always had: herself. After failing to secure the Wallachian throne, Lada is out to punish anyone who dares to cross her blood-strewn path. Filled with a white-hot rage, she storms the countryside with her men, accompanied by her childhood friend Bogdan, terrorizing the land. But brute force isn’t getting Lada what she wants. And thinking of Mehmed brings little comfort to her thorny heart. There’s no time to wonder whether he still thinks about her, even loves her. She left him before he could leave her.
What Lada needs is her younger brother Radu’s subtlety and skill. But Mehmed has sent him to Constantinople—and it’s no diplomatic mission. Mehmed wants control of the city, and Radu has earned an unwanted place as a double-crossing spy behind enemy lines. Radu longs for his sister’s fierce confidence—but for the first time in his life, he rejects her unexpected plea for help. Torn between loyalties to faith, to the Ottomans, and to Mehmed, he knows he owes Lada nothing. If she dies, he could never forgive himself—but if he fails in Constantinople, will Mehmed ever forgive him?
As nations fall around them, the Dracul siblings must decide: what will they sacrifice to fulfill their destinies? Empires will topple, thrones will be won . . . and souls will be lost.
Coming Up For Air by Miranda Kenneally This author also wrote some of my favorite contemporaries, Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker. Both of which were in a series of contemporary companion novels. Coming Up For Air is another one of those contemporary companion novels. It's way farther down in the series, but it is in the series. I love reading these because they're cute and also we get to see previous couples in them-- they are companion novels, after all. Release Date: July 1, 2017 Synopsis: Swim. Eat. Shower. School. Snack. Swim. Swim. Swim. Dinner. Homework. Bed. Repeat.
All of Maggie’s focus and free time is spent swimming. She’s not only striving to earn scholarships—she’s training to qualify for the Olympics. It helps that her best friend, Levi, is also on the team and cheers her on. But Levi’s already earned an Olympic try out, so she feels even more pressure to succeed. And it’s not until Maggie’s away on a college visit that she realizes how much of the “typical” high school experience she’s missed by being in the pool.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, Maggie decides to squeeze the most out of her senior year. First up? Making out with a guy. And Levi could be the perfect candidate. After all, they already spend a lot of time together. But as Maggie slowly starts to uncover new feelings for Levi, how much is she willing to lose to win?
Paper Hearts by Ali Novak Recognize the name? No? Ali Novak is a Wattpad author who is now published. She has published two previous books, The Heartbreakers and My Life with the Walter Boys. Two books that I have read and really enjoyed. Paper Hearts is like a companion to The Heartbreakers, because it includes some of the same characters. Lucky in Love by Kasie West Another novel by Kasie that I'm sure will make me smile out of my appreciation for cuteness. I already gave my bit on West's books up top so...

Untitled Chaol Novel by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass 5.1) Yeah... Instead of the 6th and final TOG novel, we're getting an entire novel on Chaol. I'm one of the jerks who has mixed feelings about this-- it's great! an extra novel in this spectacular world... but also I'm kind of disappointed to not be getting the last book (TOG 6 / 7 now) until 2018. I'm still definitely going to be reading this one, but I just really need to know what happens to all of my babies. (FENRYS MUST BE FREED (AND AELIN) AND LORCAN NEEDS TO BE FORGIVEN AND AEDION NEEDS TO LIVE) Release Date: September 5, 2017 Synopsis: Not released And finally, Immortal Reign by Morgan Rhodes. The final book in the Falling Kingdoms Series (which is one of my favorites.) I'm so excited to read this novel-- I need to see what is going to happen to my precious babies and make sure they're going to be okay. (Lucia can die.) December is too far away.
