Hello! Happy Wednesday!

I'm diving now into the last 3 chapters of Basil Pitch's Diary. I'm in the big-picture, planning stage of writing them. Even with Scrivener, I have a hard time visualizing the flow of a story on a computer screen, so I pulled out a notebook I hadn't used in months.

Imagine my delight on finding the notes and drafts that I apparently wrote for the March, July, and August chapters. I'd forgotten they existed. People always seem to love a process post, so here you go.

She's a goddess's familiar, she's a plague, she worked for Fantasy MI6, she died, she came back, she got rage stared, she snapped her own neck, she came back as the companion for a god borne from a Fantasy Mormon child's misplaced belief. She's alive and dead, good and evil. She worked tirelessly for 800 years towards one goal and then fucking abandoned it (maybe.) Her goddess thinks she can fix her. Her goddess's wife always hated her. She is everyone's problem at all times and holy shit is she a Problem. What a fucking legend.

so, i hit 1k sometime in the beginning of June ✨🥳. Which means my incessant yapping about absolutely nothing on every post I make and multiple months-long unannounced hiatuses didn't scare all of you off yet, so thanks for that y'all.

Chapter 3

“Fuckk.” You groaned, legs wrapped around Bucky’s back as he sat crossed legged on the bed. His lips found yours, breathless pants exchanged between you as you rolled your hips against his. His arms were around you, holding you, embracing you as you both drew closer and closer to your orgasms. Your breasts moved against his chest with every thrust, clit making contact with his pelvis leaving you moaning into the kiss. He broke the kiss, focusing his attention on your neck as you glanced at the mirror over his shoulder, watching the both of you having sex. He was holding you so tightly. Pretty early on in your relationship you realised how much Bucky liked having sex. You’d do it at almost any opportunity. “I’ll get it.” He offered, wiping the remnants of your love on the towel he used last night before putting a shirt on paired with some jogging bottoms and heading downstairs towards the door. Once he was gone, you quickly got to work cleaning yourself up in the en-suite in the hopes that you’d look presentable enough to greet Natasha. Once you were finally looking less fucked out, you made your way downstairs.

You looked around for a few seconds, unable to find them until you entered the kitchen where Bucky had his back to you as he said something incoherent to Natasha. Whatever it was, it made her blush as you stepped in, clearing your throat.

“Y-y/n.” Natasha smiled, a little flushed; it was moments like these ones you almost hated the fact that Bucky was a good looking guy, he’d say one polite thing to a girl and suddenly they were fawning over him, he probably only offered to make her a coffee.

“Goodmorning” you offered nonetheless, Bucky finally turning to face you “everything alright in here?”

“Yeah, we were just talking.” Bucky answered.

“Well, let me show you around.” Natasha interrupted, walking towards you as you smiled curtly at her before beginning the tour.

“So, how are you settling in?” She asked once you were out of the kitchen.

“Great thanks, although I think we have rodents.”

“Rodents?” She questioned, gesturing you both towards the grounds at the back.

“Yeah, I saw something in the kitchen I think, I was looking in the mirror and then—” you started before she interrupted.

“Maybe they have rodents.” She laughed.

“They?”

“The other version of you two.” She explained as if it was simple. Sensing your confusion, she elaborated. “Do you not believe in parallel universes?”

“No.” You began to laugh.

“I think there are parallel universes, other versions of ourselves that you can see in mirrors. Haven’t you ever stared at your reflection long enough that its started to move out of time?”

“No.” You almost scoffed at her ridiculousness. “It was a rodent I saw, old place like this probably has dozens.”

“You’re probably right.” She answered before resuming the tour.

Once the tour was over, Natasha showing you almost every inch of the place, you ended it back in the kitchen, Bucky meeting you both there.

“If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call me.” Natasha smiled “You have my card right?”

“Yes.” Bucky answered.

“Good.” She replied before saying her final goodbyes and leaving.

“I think she’s got a little crush on you.” You giggled, facing Bucky.

“Yeah whatever, it’s not my fault I’m so irresistible.” He teased, pecking you on the cheek. “Also, my boss called, I’m back in tomorrow.” He sighed, your smile falling.

“Really?” You sighed.

“Mhmm.” He hummed in reply, kissing the top of your head.

“Well I’m just going to have to find some kind of way to entertain myself.”

“Maybe you could look through the library, you might find something related to your family.

“Yeah, you’re right” you simpered “also, do you believe in parallel universes?” You queried, remembering your earlier interaction with Natasha.

“Yes” he nodded, “and witches, warlocks, aliens, god.” He listed, beginning to laugh.

“You could have just said no.” You tutted.

“What makes you ask?”

“Nothing” you lied, dismissing the earlier conversation “I’m going to unpack another box.” You said before leaving the kitchen.

You made your way into the hallway where there were a few more boxes. The closer you reached, the more little bits of card you found scattered along the floor. You picked up one of the pieces, looking at it and recognising the rich red hair in the picture. It was Natasha’s business card. Before you could question why her business card was torn up and on the floor, you heard Bucky curse. You quickly made your way into the kitchen, seeing him inspect his foot.

“What happened to you?” You tried not to laugh.

“I swear to god that thing wasn’t there earlier, I turned around and stubbed my toe.” He answered, gesturing to a box on the kitchen floor.

“Now you can’t go to work, you’ve got to stay here and let me have you all to myself.” You grinned, calming him as you reached up, placing your hands against his cheeks.

“As much as I’d love that, I really do have to go in” he spoke, looking into your eyes “you’re too good to me.”

“Yes she is.” The wind practically howled unbeknownst to you.

Father John Price has been acting strange lately.

It started as little things most wouldn't notice—an odd slur to his words, far rougher than what you were used to hearing. A sway to his gait when he walked as if he was unfamiliar with the layout to the monastery. Gaps in his memory when pried for pieces of information that he should have known better than anyone else within the walls of the old building. Little slips. Missteps.

Nothing to worry about.

Not at first, anyway.

Not until it bleeds out, grows. Turns into touches. A searing, angry gaze drilling into your head whenever you look away from him. Ire lashing over each word he growls out in the alcoves he corners you inside, the guise of polite conversation falling to pieces when he slips his foot between yours, prying your thighs apart to stand between them. Towering over you as he rasps out commands for you to tell him about how you spent the evening prior on your knees—

Praying, you whisper feverishly, feeling the deep indents of the rosary beads imbedded into your fingers.

But that never seems to matter much to him. Not when the prayer is always an afterthought, and he makes noises like a wounded animal when you breathe out how long you stayed like that, and how—unable to resist temptation after gripping the rosary for long—you had to slide your cold fingers under your robes, numb, shaking hands seeking the blistering heat between your thighs.

("not close enough to tempt the devil," you mutter, shamefaced, heart lurching when the noise he makes in the back of the throat sounds like a misfiring gun. "But—" he drops his head to the wall, heaving. Eyes burning into your temple as you stare at the crooked tilt of his collar, unable to meet his gaze. Scared of what you might find. "But close enough that I had to—to pray again—")

And as the distant, unflappable mask of a seemingly incorruptible man begins to crack, breaking apart to unveil a yawning chasm, you find yourself trapped in confessional box with him after dark, quickly realising that the man you devoted your life to has fallen into that crater.

And something else has taken his place.

really disappointing that bunjywunjy had to be pestered twice just to quietly remove their reblog after using their huge platform to encourage garbage like raving about the lesbian estonian soviet flag and how 'new pride flag just dropped' so people could go 'ooh pretty' about a flag that was forced onto us by ppl who wanted our culture gone and oppressed us for about a century in total if not more.

to say nothing or not show anything of the truth about that flag and quietly remove the reblog felt more like it was done out of obligation (and you didn't agree) rather than care for the subject matter that is still a fresh wound in our country's memory. it's only been 33 years since it ended.

I'd rather you make the mistake about something you didn't know (eastern european history is easy for westeners to overlook, because we're not a big country like them, we're not england or france or spain or germany) and admit/apologize for said mistake or even just outright state that you don't actually care rather than say nothing and quietly remove something so that people would stop talking about it

I finally watched Animator VS Animation. I uh... I have feels. Those are some EXPRESSIVE stickmen, damn! If anything, AVA is a masterclass on body language! But it also happens to be fun, spectacular, emotional and beautiful! So much effort goes into every episode, I as a fellow animator I am measuring the amount of work and I am HORRIFIED! So it is time for another episode of "Sel finds stuff on the internet" : Go watch AVA! You won't be disappointed!

i’ve been seeing that “nooo tboy mutual don’t reblog that transandrophobia post, there are so many other non-reactionary frameworks that you can use to understand your experiences” post go around (unfortunately from. a lot of my mutuals.)

and it’s really frustrating to me bc like. i would love to hear them!!! i would love to discuss different lenses of viewing the specific kind of oppression that transmascs face, i would love to learn about different perspectives!!

but so much of what’s out there either 1) doesn’t include us at all or 2) insists that our oppression isn’t anything more than transphobia, or that it’s just misdirected transmisogyny, or that it’s just transphobia and misogyny, but no discussion of how transphobia and misogyny interact to specifically impact transmascs. it just feels so disingenuous and dismissive because whenever we talk about our experiences, no matter what language we use, we’re shut down over and over and over again.

Godddd I saw that post the other day and could not help but roll my eyes. Saying there's "so many other frameworks" to use disregards a fundamental reason why this framework is being created in the first place: transmascs, across different ages and races and other variables, feeling silenced and absent in other models of society, even those claiming to be for trans-feminist. Like if you are trying to convince trans guys to not use the term transandrophobia maybe start by acknowledging the absence of proper frameworks to discuss the unique position of trans men & mascs. & you know damn well none of these people will acknowledge how every other iteration of "transandrophobia" ALSO got shut down for being Problematic™, including "isomisogyny" which was literally just misogyny with a prefix attached to assure cis women that we would never DARE to imply that transmascs might be oppressed by the same social force as them!

But that's the problem with people trying to make the discussion of anti transmasculinity palatable! They want to have a version of this discussion that isn't threatening at all to the deeply ingrained anti (trans)masculinity in queer spaces. Literally any criticism, no matter how lukewarm or carefully handled, is labeled "reactionary." After you get rid of everything that people hate about transandrophobia theory you are left with none of the things that make it valuable to transmascs + everyone else who benefits from this discussion.
