craig mazin, a screenwriter on HBO’s upcoming The Last of Us tv show, proclaiming that death in the games mean less because it’s just “watching pixels die”, is a part of an ongoing worrying trend of writers that devalue and demean the medium of videogames. those measly moving pixels you’re talking about launched an entire beloved franchise with a dedicated fanbase, and those pixels gave you a show to create and profit off of. the so known curse of the bad videogame adaptation is mainly due to its own people not giving a fuck about the games they’re taking source material from and holding live-action movies or shows as this supreme ultimate form of art, which is such an uncreative, boring, stale and rigid way of thinking when the whole point of adaptation is to explore all the ways you could expand and reshape a story, live-action or not, intelligently and with care
#if i was neil druckmann i wouldn’t have let that slide but that’s just me ….#these writers need to be taken down a notch and actually respect the stories they’re using#we shouldn’t even be having a tlou live action show in the first place like it’s literally so unnecessary. sure it’s cool#but the games itself already feel like interactive Movies no?#what’s the point then of ultra realistic graphics?#why did some intern have to miss christmas & the birth of their kid to animate joel’s beard hair bristling in the wind#the last of us#tlou#tlou 2#tlou hbo#the last of us hbo#joel miller#ellie williams#videogames#naughty dog#hbo#the last of us 2

Hello, I really love your stories/writings. I've been a fan since you began, and I don't really have many ideas, but if possible could I request a 'scream' au (the movies). Like the tr boys are just ultra yander for reader and kill every person around them, finally kidnapping them or smtg like that. Maybe if it's possible a male reader? Sorry, if you don't really understand it, English isn't my language
I don’t remember much about scream since I haven’t seen it since I was a kid so hopefully you enjoy this anyway! Thank you for the support! ♡︎♡︎♡︎

Murder House
You wake up to the sound of a loud thud followed by a blood curdling scream.
“What the hell?” You whisper to yourself as you sit up in the bed, paused as your heart begins to race, anxious thoughts flying through your mind as you recognize the voice to be one out of the four roommates who occupy the house. You jump once you hear another loud noise, followed by the slam of a door and another scream belonging to another one of your roommates. You hop out of bed, completely terrified as the hairs on your body stand, your hands trembling as you ease to the bedroom door.
Your eyebrows furrow as you hear laughing along with a voice’s muffled talking. You slowly turn the knob, easing the door open as you pray it doesn’t creak. Fortunately, luck is on your side at the moment because you successfully step out of the room without anyone’s knowledge. Your hands meet the wall as you walk down the hall, the weeping sound of a couple of your roommates causes a lump in your throat as you realize this must be a dire situation.
You make it to the staircase, slowly walking down the stairs, step by step as you listen to the conversation below.
“You like that, yeah?” You wince once you hear something making contact with what you assume to be flesh, along with another yell of pain.
“PLEASE! S-STOP!” Your roommate Juno cries, causing you to cover your mouth as you ease down another step, slowly breathing as you try to calm yourself down, failing as the feeling of danger overtakes you.
Finally making it to the point of the wall where you can peek your head, you crouch down and eye the display through the railing of the staircase. Your eyes widen as you block a gasp, tears freely falling as your body trembles violently.
Three of your roommates lay dead, one of them with their body leaned against the wall of the living room, head detached and thrown to the side as blood leaks from the wound, oozing down his neck as the blood connects to the wall and puddles under the body staining the floor. The other deceased roommate’s eyes are wide open, an ax stuck in the middle of his head as blood leaks down his forehead. His body leaning over as he’s positioned to lean against the wall.
The last dead roommate has his lower face shot off, the bullet causing a horrific wound as half of his jaw is nowhere to be seen. His eyes are rolled into his head. Your last roommate who’s still alive is being beaten with a bloody bat.
Goddamnit! How long has this been going on? How am I not dead?
You look around frantically at the men who stood above the bodies. The one using a bat to repeatedly beat your roommate to death has a twisted smirk plastered on his face, his bun shaking along with the blonde strands moving against his face. Blood is splattered on his clothes and face. His golden eyes crazed while he brings his arms back and slams them down, poor Juno becoming quieter as time passes.
A black haired short man sat on the couch as he watches the display, blood on his clothes as well as a drop on his face. He eats the packaged delicacy with his legs criss crossed. A pink haired man is sitting beside him with a leg crossed over the other as he’s leaned back against the couch, cleaning the gun he’s holding. Your roommate’s blood plastered on him as well.
Two men, who look similar besides their hair, stood to the side with amusement on their faces, the taller one smoking a cigarette as the younger one stood with his arms crossed. Both have blood on their faces and neck.
“Finally.” The man with the bat breathes out once he sees the guy under him is completely limp, blood pooling under him from the inflicted wounds.
“Can we get Y/n, now? I’m bored.” The man with the treat takes his last bite before tossing the empty packaging on the ground. Your breath hitched once you heard your name.
They know about me? Now they’re gonna kill me! I have to get out of here!
You couldn’t move though, your body too tense with fear as you begin to feel a throbbing in your head and ringing in your ear.
I have to breathe.
You quietly breathe in and out, holding a hand to your chest as you try to get yourself together.
“He should be waking soon if he isn’t already. It’s been hours since he had the pill.” The pink haired one states.
Pill? What the hell are they talking about? How did they get the chance to drug me?
“Then let’s go get him. I’m ready to go home.” The younger brother sighs, bored of the situation now that they’ve completed the hardest part.
Scared out of your mind, you grab your phone to call the police as you try to quietly make your way back up the stairs.
My dumbass should’ve done this when I was in my room. Damnit, Y/n!
Somehow, the AI from your phone was activated, a loud, ‘ding’ echoes in the room. Your eyes widen as you curse, immediately turning your phone off as you shove it back in your pocket.
Goddamnit Siri!
All of their heads turn to the staircase, a smirk falling on their expressions as they realize you had been hiding.
“Oh? I think someone’s awake.” The taller brother states.
You immediately run up the stairs and make it to your room, slamming and locking the door behind you as you run to your window.
Your heart pounds as you open the glass and eyed the distance from where you stood. You jolt and let out a yelp when a crash sounds from your door. You turn to eye the door. With a glowing sharp fanged smile, the pink haired man slams his foot against the door repeatedly. The hinges coming loose with each kick.
“Be a good boy, Y/n and come out! We don’t have to do this the hard way!” He yells.
When you turn back around you eye the window once more, before you throw yourself out of the two story building, landing with a harsh thud and rolling down the hill at the side of the house that’s built in the middle of nowhere.
Get up! Get up! Get up! Get the fuck up Y/n!
You slowly pick yourself up as you wince in pain. When you finally make it to your feet, you hiss as your hand meets with your leg, a terrible pain shooting through as you weakly begin to limp to the only area you could, the woods next to your house.
Please! If there’s a god please let me live!
Luckily the hill gives you a head start. You dare turn your head back to the window as you limp away, gasping when you see the figure standing at your window. You can feel the piercing gaze as you disappear deeper into the woods.
“Should we chase or should I shoot?”
You continue dragging yourself until you hear a shot, ignoring it as you move, sweat falling down your body and face as you breathe heavily. You scream as you finally feel a throbbing pain in your leg, causing you to drop to the ground. You turn over and look down at your leg.
“F-Fuck!” You hold onto the bloody limb, tears fall as you drop your head on the ground. Too drowsy from the pain and your pounding heart, the sound began to blur around you along with your vision.
You wake up, hanging on someone’s back as you’re carried. Hands hold your legs as your arms are wrapped around someone’s neck. Too weak to say anything or move, you lay there with your squinted eyes. You weakly eye the pairs of legs walking beside the person holding you.
“Should’ve let me carry him, Ran.”
“Don’t be bitter, brother.” He chuckled.
“Is the bed ready for him, Sanzu?”
“Yes, Mikey. Did you set up the chains, Kazu?”
“Definitely. He’s not going anywhere for a long time.” He smiles.
“Glad to finally have him in our arms.”
“Fuck yeah. Wish we would’ve grabbed him sooner.”
“Yeah it was annoying how he was always surrounded by people.”
“Good thing we took care of all of them.”
“I can’t wait to fuck the shit out of him. I just know he’s a screamer.”
“I’m getting hard just thinking about it.”
Too exhausted with a throbbing pain in your leg, you drift off into a deep slumber, unknown to the journey that awaits you when you’re brought back to reality.

i think what people dont realize is that super realistic games take way longer to make and are more expensive to make. not to mention the obsession with ultra realistic graphics is getting too out of hand. some people wont even play games if they aren't realistic. at that point just watch a mf movie or something damn. idk why games with "bad" or "stylized" graphics are being labeled as bad even if the story is good. its weird that in a time where indie games are so popular ppl are still so obsessed with hyperrealism. it makes me think that if larian goes back to their old game style for their new games with more stylized graphics they'll be bashed too. like seriously what is the obsession for?
Also ultra realistic graphics tend to take up way more space on computers.

A Polish game company just released a game about Aztecs killing Castilian conquistadores... Curious about what the reviews say, I've seen some stuff on twitter about the cities not being too accurate
I've taken a quick look at it. Gotta keep in mind this is still in development, so things can change...
Very unpolished (pun unintented) gameplay. It's fine if it's a small indie team, but I always find the clash between the ultra-realistic Unity graphics and the weird gameplay jarring
While I haven't played it, there's a plot, apparently, where your warrior can decide to choose to support "the strangers who want to free us from the priests that kill our brothers and sons"... it's... ehh.
...Let's not whitewash it, human sacrifice was awful, and lots of Aztec-conquered peoples allied with the Spanish against the Aztecs (though a debate on how much was it political expedience and how much was disgust with human sacrifice, which seemed to be widespreadly accepted in Mesoamerican culture, could take us for whole pages). But the way the whole thing is worded tells me that they aren't gonna approach this with too much nuance.
Especially now that you can choose to be a conquistador and kill natives. Yeah.
Yes, the cities look like ruins. It seems that they have based their setting in current ruins (in fact, from a brief look, they seem more Mayan than anything) than actual Tenochtitlán when it was at its peak. The whole "Native Americans lived in rainforests with some temples sticking out" is a trope that repeats itself again and again. These were urban cultures, those cities should be full of stuff, art... I can forgive the excuse that it's after the fire of Tenochtitlán, but it still feels like they wanted you to play in the ruins of a civilization, not the civilization itself.
Overall, it seems that the devs got a concept, it was very poorly thought out, and just went with it. If you're making a "natives vs. colonizers" videogame, you should double down in your research and presentation, this is a very delicate topic you're presenting. It just reeks of a half-baked game with some very, very eurocentrist popular history thinking behind of it, intentional or not.
I'm reminded of the Age of Empires II Aztec campaign, where you could also play as the Aztecs and drive out the Spanish. Based, yes, sure, but the units were the same as any other, with metal-plated armor Aztec soldiers and catapults against the Spanish (to be fair, the devs did give American units some flavor to distinguish them from the Old World, and because of limitations, pretty much everybody had to share the same sprites). But still, it is an interesting piece of history you could show, but you can't be this sloppy about it.
By the way, the Incas resisted the Spanish conquest for decades after the fall of Atahualpa, and they even laid siege to Cuzco using European equipment and were close to retaking it, the last Inca state (Vilcabamaba) was only conquered in 1572, almost thirty years after the death of Atahualpa. Now THAT'S an interesting campaign for a strategy game. There could have been many points (even leaving aside the Tupác Amaru rebellion) where the Incas could have expelled the Spanish or regained independence.

I really hate the fact that the gaming industry has reached this point it's so easy to find games without ultra-realistic-ass-shittingly amazing graphics and yet were all pushing towards this dystopia where all media is just an interactive movie. Imagine your favorite game right now, what game is it? was it made recently? was it made by a big studio? are its graphics realistic (not for the time, now)? I heavily doubt that all of these get checked off on anyone's list (except those who's sole purpose for owning a ps5 are EA sports games, COD, etc). Gaming includes some of the most personalized works of all time, and yet again the industry keeps pushing for graphics of a marvel movie (which everyone is already getting sick of)
Why must we expand so much in a direction that leads to a creative death? We should be striving towards making art everyone can firstly experience and secondly attain a unique sense of self in. I don't want to play through a matrix movie, if that were the case I'd just watch the matrix. Let me experience a feeling I haven't before through the mechanics, I want to feel the soul of the game interacting with me as I'm playing.
#realism without stylization is the death of art#for example street fighter 6 I would consider fine despite it's realism for it tries to have an artstyle outside of just looking realistic#tekken is an example of what NOT to do!#fuck UE5#use FOSS software always and forever#vent

Do you ever browse your local library, not looking for anything in particular (well, beyond checking to see if they have any new comics), and stumble across something incredible that you just needed to see at that particular moment? That's how I found Where Black Stars Rise by Nadia Shammas (writer) and Marie Enger (artist). It's a short but powerful graphic novel about two young women: Yasmin Mofid, a schizophrenic theatre student who becomes involved with a group performing The King in Yellow, and Amal Robardin, her new therapist who's struggling to do right by her (and by her mother back home in Lebanon). The title, of course, is from "Cassilda's Song. The deceptively simple, ultra-stylized look of the book is not to my personal taste, but the faces are astoundingly expressive and the visual storytelling is masterful. Legit one of the best recent Mythos-related works I've come across in a while. It plays with the idea of The King in Yellow as a play that "drives people insane" by having a protagonist who is already mentally ill in a grounded and realistic way, for whom that's just part of ordinary life.
At one point in the story we see a blog post by Yasmin that seems to be a sort of thesis statement direct from the author. (Very fourth-wall-breaking, because she's talking about the short story collection The King in Yellow, not the play.) So I will end this by quoting it:
"I've always loved horror, particularly eldritch horror. Despite the deeply racist and misogynistic roots of these works, primarily the violent xenophobia of its creators, there's an existential understanding as to what it feels like to be powerless. While these men grappled with the horror of an uncaring universe, marginalized individuals grapple with the horror of a system specifically designed not to care about us. We are born into something larger, something malevolent, something we have no power to stop. Similarly, in The King in Yellow itself, there is no reason why are unfortunate narrators are chosen. Yes, some of them seek power, and some of them wander into the wrong place at the wrong time, but both tend to meet the same ends. You walk into a situation, your bad luck and your life is changed forever. Isn't that how it is in the real world? There's no reason or logic. Often, the evil was inside of you before you even knew it. There's no fighting it. You can't fight forces bigger than yourself. Most of all? I love that in horror, our storytellers are always right. They're never believed. They're cast aside and undermined and left to face the cosmic cruelty alone. But they weren't wrong. And the readers, the audience? We bear witness to them. We listen, and by merit of their narrative or performance, we believe them in that short burst of time. I want to write that feeling into being. I want to be believed."
(a lot of different people have set "Cassilda's Song" to music, and this one's the best version, trust me)

PlayStation 6: Release Date, Pricing, Specs, and More
Sony’s PlayStation series has long helped the gaming industry reach new horizons, and now, all eyes are on the next big thing: PlayStation 6. But can it change how we play video games? Back in 2020, PlayStation 5 revolutionized the tech industry with its high-end features, including ultra-fast SSD, 4K graphics, and fully redesigned controllers. And as we look ahead, PS6 is generating even more buzz among developers, gamers, and industry experts, making it one of the most anticipated technology gadgets. Accordingly, the following article explores everything we know so far about Sony’s next gaming console and the rumors surrounding its release date, pricing, specs, and more.
Expected Release Date for PlayStation 6
At the time of writing this blog post, there has been no official announcement regarding the console’s release date, but there are many speculations based on previous patterns. Traditionally, Sony releases a new gaming console every six to eight years. So, the PlayStation 6 series release date should fall somewhere between 2026 and 2028. However, industry analysts and other gaming experts suggest that Sony may break this pattern, especially considering the ongoing success of PlayStation 5. Jim Ryan, Sony’s Former CEO, explained how the company may prioritize extending the life cycle of its current console rather than rapidly moving on to the next.
Rumored Features and Specs of PlayStation 6
Building on previous experience with earlier Sony consoles, the PlayStation 6 will likely offer significant upgrades in performance, graphics, and user experience. Here’s what we can speculate: Hardware Expectations: PS6 will probably feature more processing power, likely from a custom AMD chipset, accompanied by enhanced ray tracing technology that helps the console deliver more realistic graphics and faster load time. Virtual and Augmented Reality Integration: With PlayStation VR’s growing popularity, Sony will likely expand its commitment to virtual and augmented reality technologies to offer an even more immersive experience than the PS5’s VR setup. AI and Machine Learning: AI technology is becoming increasingly integrated into our lives. With its rapid advancements, it could lead to smarter in-game environments, adaptive gameplay, and more realistic non-player characters (NPCs). But that can’t be all. Given that Sony often starts discussing new hardware well in advance, rumors and leaks will likely intensify as the PlayStation 6 release date approaches.
Design and Build of PlayStation 6
After our experience with the PS5, Sony will likely aim for a smaller, more compact console to stay competitive while catering to what consumers want and what the gaming world needs. Additionally, PlayStation 6 will likely have a minimalist, eco-friendly design that focuses on sustainability as global attention shifts towards environmental concerns. Recent reports suggest that Sony might adopt recyclable materials in its manufacturing process. The company aims to limit its impact on the environment by reducing its carbon footprint. Finally, the company has world-class designers who always deliver outstanding design and build capabilities, and PlayStation 6 can’t be an exception.
Game Library and Compatibility of PlayStation 6
PlayStation 6 will definitely include exclusive Sony titles, continuing Sony’s tradition of high-quality blockbuster games that showcase the power of its new hardware. According to rumors, developers are already working on new titles tailored for the PS6 that can leverage the console’s enhanced gaming capabilities, particularly in terms of graphics and performance. Additionally, the backward compatibility feature has been a major selling point for the PS5, and fans expect Sony to keep this going or even expand it in their next series. So, PlayStation 6 will likely allow gamers to play PS4 and PS5 titles on the new console, ensuring a seamless transition for players while preserving their existing game libraries.
Controllers of PlayStation 6
Sony shifted from the traditional DualShock controllers on PS4 to the highly innovative DualSense controllers on PS5, which were widely praised for the new features they packed. With haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and the slick new design of the DualSense controllers, Sony had much to offer back in 2020 and will most likely build upon this success. Accordingly, PlayStation 6 will add more features to the controllers, including touchscreen controls, advanced haptics, and motion tracking, designed to improve the VR experience. Finally, some rumors suggest that Sony might even introduce the next generation of DualSense Edge controllers, which gamers can customize and swap parts.
Pricing and Market Strategies of PlayStation 6
With the rising costs of gaming hardware, many believe that the PlayStation 6 will be priced higher than its predecessors, which is not surprising given the features it might pack. The PlayStation 5 launched at $499 for its standard edition, and experts figure the PS6 should retail at around $599 or higher, depending on its hardware and technology. However, this could raise concerns about whether the console will be affordable, which could lead to options like financing plans or bundle deals to make the PS6 easier to get for gamers. Ultimately, we can expect the PlayStation 6 to come in various models with multiple storage options and performance capabilities, similar to the digital-only and standard editions of the PS5.
Final Thoughts
The next generation of Sony’s gaming consoles is already shaping into an exciting and innovative piece of technology that could take gaming to new heights. From upgraded hardware and better gameplay to new designs, better DualSense controllers, and AI integrations, the PlayStation 5 will likely have a lot to offer. So, stay tuned as Sony continues to unveil more details about the PlayStation 6 in the following years, and prepare yourself for the next evolution in PlayStation gaming. Read the full article

Rediscovering Old School Games: The Nostalgic Magic of Retro Gaming
In today's world of ultra-realistic graphics and complex gameplay, there's something undeniably charming about old school games. These games, which dominated the gaming landscape in the '80s and '90s, have become a source of nostalgia for many players. Their simplicity, iconic graphics, and unforgettable soundtracks remind us of a time when gaming was about pure fun and mastery of skills.
One of the best ways to experience these old school classics today is through devices like the Atom Game Console, a modern tool that brings the joy of retro gaming back to life.
What Makes Old School Games So Special?
Old school games, often referred to as retro games, capture the essence of what made early gaming such a hit. The era of games like Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, and Pac-Man shaped the video game industry, creating beloved franchises and captivating players with unique, straightforward gameplay.
Here are some defining features of old school games:
Simple Yet Challenging: While modern games often feature elaborate plots and complex controls, old school games kept things simple. Players navigated side-scrolling levels or puzzle challenges using only a few buttons. But beneath that simplicity was a level of challenge that kept players hooked for hours.
Pixel Art Graphics: The limitations of early hardware gave birth to pixel art, a visual style that remains iconic to this day. Old school games used limited pixels to create memorable characters and worlds, from the green pipes of Super Mario to the ghost-chasing maze in Pac-Man.
Addictive Gameplay Loops: Whether it was reaching the next level, earning a high score, or beating a friend's record, old school games were built around rewarding gameplay loops that encouraged repeated play.
Memorable Music: Even with their limited audio capabilities, old school games had some of the most memorable soundtracks. Who can forget the catchy Super Mario Bros. theme or the intense pace of Tetris music?
The Atom Game Console: A Modern Gateway to Old School Games
For those looking to recapture the magic of these retro titles, the atom game console offers an exciting, accessible solution. It is designed specifically for retro gamers who want to enjoy the classics without the hassle of finding old hardware and cartridges. The Atom Game Console has quickly become a favorite for anyone seeking to relive the past or discover it for the first time.

2. Easy Setup and Compatibility
Unlike the original consoles that required multiple wires and obscure adapters, the Atom Game Console has a simple plug-and-play setup. With modern HDMI compatibility, you can easily connect it to any TV, making it effortless to start playing immediately.
3. Modern Features for a Better Experience
While old school games are known for their difficulty, the Atom Game Console offers modern features like save states, allowing players to pause and save progress at any point. This means you can enjoy the challenge of retro games without the frustration of starting over from the beginning every time!
4. Compact and Convenient
The Atom Game Console is compact and portable, allowing you to bring your favorite games anywhere. Whether you're hosting a retro game night or just want to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane, it’s a handy and versatile device.
Why Retro Gaming is Thriving
There’s been a resurgence of interest in old school games in recent years. Several factors contribute to the growing popularity of retro gaming:
Nostalgia: For many, retro games bring back childhood memories. Whether it was staying up late to beat a level in Contra or spending hours trying to outscore friends in Street Fighter, these games represent a simpler time in gaming and life.
Simplicity in Gameplay: Today’s games are often packed with tutorials, skill trees, and cinematic experiences. While these can be enjoyable, the simplicity of old school games offers a refreshing contrast. With straightforward controls and clear objectives, they deliver an experience that’s easy to understand but hard to master.
Cultural Impact: Many of today’s major game franchises owe their origins to old school titles. Games like The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy started on retro consoles, and their influence on modern gaming is undeniable.
Accessible for All Ages: old school games are approachable for gamers of all skill levels. Their simplicity makes them perfect for introducing younger generations to the world of gaming, while their challenge keeps veteran gamers engaged.
Reliving the Golden Age of Gaming with the Atom Game Console
The Atom Game Console is more than just a modern gaming device; it’s a gateway to reliving the golden age of gaming. By offering access to a wide array of old school games, this console bridges the gap between nostalgia and modern convenience. Whether you're looking to introduce your kids to the classics or revisit your favorite childhood games, the Atom Game Console makes it easy and fun.
Why Choose the Atom Game Console?
Affordable Access to Retro Games: Collecting original cartridges and consoles can be expensive and time-consuming. The Atom Game Console offers a cost-effective way to play all your favorite old school games in one place.
Optimized for Modern TVs: With HDMI output and crystal-clear visuals, the Atom Game Console ensures your old school games look their best, even on modern screens.
Multiplayer Fun: Many old school games are designed for multiplayer, and the Atom Game Console supports two-player modes with wireless controllers, making it perfect for game nights with friends or family.
Conclusion
Old school games will always have a special place in the hearts of gamers. They represent an era when gameplay was king, and every victory felt like a true accomplishment. With the Atom Game Console, you can now enjoy the timeless fun of retro games with modern features that enhance the experience. Whether you're rediscovering these classics or exploring them for the first time, the Atom Game Console is your perfect companion for a nostalgic trip back to gaming’s roots.

It's not that the style of it that's bad, while it's not my thing I can understand why it appeals to people. It's really how its been used and represented, the idea that realism is the Big Thing all games should strive towards, and that anything else is inferior. I hate the idea that to be a "good game" you have to have Ultra Realistic Graphics when graphics aren't even the most important thing when it comes to Visuals.
Art Direction is Important, Actually. Outside of how realistic or stylized the graphics of a game are. How the world looks is important, how you characterize a world is important. A game set in an area where there's graffiti tags and old hunks of metal scattered around will feel Very Different than one set in an office building. They convey very different moods and ideas.
And not just that, but gameplay and writing and sound design and so many other things I'm probably forgetting are important too!
Visuals are not, and never were, the Most Important Thing when it came to making a good game. There's so many elements that come together to Make a good game, and that depends on what the game is trying to do in the first place!
(Also they just look really boring, like at some point all the Ultra Realistic Games just blend together in my head because they all look the same, stop showing me the same fucking grass-)
i should ask, before i start longposting about it, what do people not like about realism as as style, especially for video game graphics?

⌨️ Non-Zero-Sum Game | Sunmi
Request: Hey can I request a fluffy scenario where the reader is playing video games and Sunmi is bored so she tries to distract the reader? Thanks Plot: Sunmi goes to Reader's apartment after work, but it seems like Reader has something more interesting to do than to give her attention. Words: 1, 859 Genre: fluff Notes: i loved writing this one!!!! have a nice read! ♡♡
You were so focused that you didn't notice the sound of the key in the door, the door opening or even the sound of high heels echoing in the living room and stopping, being replaced by ladybugs slippers extremely comfortable for those white and tired feet, who walked slowly to the room you were in.
Nor could you hear these sounds with a headset at a high volume, with shots of different types of assault rifles and hand grenades exploding.
You also didn't notice the smell of the sweet perfume that took over the room, a smell that you used to praise every time it got stuck in your nose. Almost all of your senses were too focused on what was going on in those three huge screens in the computer desk positioned on the wall opposite to the entrance to that room.
On the screen, you had some goals: to kill members of the opposing team, to keep yourself and your teammates alive and, above all, to arm and activate a bomb in the enemy's defense field. It was not as difficult as it seemed, the hardest was to find a good team - which you, luckily, had already found - and set up a strategy.
Sometimes, these games were not just fun for you, they were a healthy competition and a challenge for your brain.
"On your right, gashinassassin!", you heard the high-pitched voice of your teammate, thej0k3r (or, as you called her since middle school, Sieun), alert you.
Your fingers worked nimbly on the keyboard and mouse, pressing the right keys and buttons to aim and fire at the right time, moving your avatar to the left side in order to hide behind the wall to get out of the opponent's sights. A colorful game with such realistic graphics on screens that size made you feel part of it, as if you were really there.
You felt your headset being pulled from your left ear and, before you could turn around, soft lips landed where the headset had been.
"Hmmm... I just arrived the apartment and this so-called gashinassassin didn't even give me a kiss...”, a sly voice found the tunnel to your eardrums and went straight to your stomach, waking up the butterflies that lived there.
It was her.
You grinned largely at the beautiful woman next to you.
"Hey, bab-"
Your voice was interrupted by the loud gunshot in your right ear and an effect you haven't heard in a while. Headshot. You looked back at the giant screen and blurted out a curse. A shot right in the middle of your avatar’s head!
"Now that you've died in the game, I deserve a decent ‘welcome, love’. Don't you think?", suggested Sunmi, still in the same clothes she wore before leaving your apartment early in the morning for an appointment.
You held up a finger as if asking her to wait a minute and adjusted the headset while listening to your team putting together another strategy. Now, your avatar was at the “starting base”. 15 seconds to "resurrect" and return with all energy in the game.
"Guys, I'll be right back, my girlfriend has arrived.", you said it pretty fast and, before you could hear any mockery from your friends, removed the headset and dropped it next to the mouse.
"Come here.", you called Sunmi, pulling her by the hand.
Sunmi sat on your lap, wrapping her arms around your neck, a tight hug. You sought her lips with yours and she let you smudge her lipstick. It didn't matter now that her makeup was all ruined, as long as you showed how much you missed her.
Ending this long kiss with short kisses, you smiled as you noticed Sunmi's completely smudged lipstick.
"You look like the Joker."
"I hope you're referring to the real Joker and not Sieun.", Sunmi raised an eyebrow and got up from your lap.
"Ewwww! No! Not at all!", you purposefully shook your body from head to toe and made a face of complete disgust.
Sunmi laughed as she ran her fingers through her hair, pinning it up in a bun at the top of her head.
"I'm going to take a shower. When I get back, forget about this game. I’m bored and wanna spend some time with my love.", she didn't wait for an answer and went straight to the bathroom in the suite.
"This is the last one-" you said, your answer being the bathroom door slamming shut.
Ever since she left the bathroom, Sunmi realized that your focus on the game was intense. She was wearing one of her baggy t-shirts and plaid pants, her hair still tied up. After so many hours dedicated to a program and participating in a competition game with other idols, Sunmi just wanted to spend time with you, watching a movie lying on top of you, kissing you now and then and enjoying that comfortable silence that only the two of you had.
Wanting to draw your attention to her, Sunmi grabbed your shoulders and started a massage. She kissed the top of your head, just above the curve of the headset.
"Farther to the right," you said, without taking your eyes off the screen.
"On the right shoulder?", she asked, placing both hands on your right shoulder.
"There."
She smiled, continuing the massage.
"NOW DOWN, DOWN, DOWN!!", you shouted, Sunmi almost fell backwards, startled.
"Idiot, were you talking to the people in the game???"
You took off your headset and turned slightly to the side, facing a Sunmi with her right hand resting on her chest, breathing fast.
"Sorry, it's very difficult around here...”, you pointed to the screen. “Did I scare you?"
Just Sunmi's angry look was enough of an answer.
"Sorry, baby, I'm going to finish here and I'll give you attention. It's gonna be really quick, okay?", you said, pouting.
Sunmi crossed her arms and rolled her eyes.
"I'm going to make a sandwich.", and she left the room, without looking back or asking you if you wanted some.
After ten minutes, she returned to the room with a plate of that big sandwich and also a soda can. She placed the sandwich plate next to your mouse and opened the can next to your ear, so the noise would be loud for you.
She was standing, leaning her elbow on your chair, staring at the screen just like you. She picked up the sandwich, took a bite and there was mayonnaise on her lower lip.
"There, there, look!", she pointed at the screen at a soldier with an AK47 in hand. "Shoot!"
"No, no, this is Yeri, she is from my squad.", you smiled.
"Hmm..."
"No, I was talking to Sunmi.", your expression changed to full concentration.
Feeling ignored, Sunmi sat on the bed and turned on the television. On purpose, she left the volume almost to the maximum on a sitcom on Prime Video.
Feeling uncomfortable with the sound, you looked quickly at the screen and then at Sunmi. She pretended that she didn't notice your discomfort. Nothing would change until you turned your attention to her, that's how she thought.
A few more minutes passed and Sunmi started to laugh. It wasn't a natural laugh, you could see. It was a forced laugh, an outrageous laugh, which made you look back again for eye contact with Sunmi. Once again she pretended not to notice.
"Just a little while longer and the game will be over and then finally I will be able to give all my attention to her.", you thought.
The notes of a song you knew very well started to echo out of the headset and you tried to hide a smile. Sunmi was looking like a child in need of attention. Oh, how well you knew her! You would join that game with her. But, in the end, none of you would lose.
You turned off the microphone and chatted to your friends, saying you would need to quit the game. They did not object. However, doing it quickly for her not to see, you played a gameplay on youtube and pretended it was you playing it.
When a specific part of the song arrived, Sunmi sang at the top of her lungs:
"When will hug me and kiss me?"
You held back a laugh and simulated a cough. She danced to her own music on the bed, in a sloppy and completely beautiful way.
"Isn't it a little too narcissistic to listen to your own music?", you asked, swiveling your chair in a movement that would make you face Sunmi.
"Isn't it a little too bad to keep your girlfriend waiting?", she threw herself on her back on the bed and one of the pillows fell to the floor.
You got up and picked it up, put it back on the bed and threw yourself next to your girlfriend. She was angry, you knew that.
But you also knew how to put an end to that angriness.
"Go back to your game. I don't want you anymore.", with her cell phone in hands, Sunmi was looking for another song.
"Oh, so you don’t want me anymore?!", you feigned disbelief. "This is cruel!"
You approached your body to hers and she did nothing. But she also didn't try to move away. And she was starting to pout. How could she be so adorable?
"Cruel is to keep your girlfriend waiting.", Sunmi pressed the play angrily and Gashina started playing.
"Look! There is a very good player who uses the name of this great song as user in games..."
"I don't care.", she shrugged.
You chuckled and hid your face on her neck, stretched out your left arm and held Sunmi in a half hug. You kissed her shoulder.
"Forgive me... I'm here! I promise I won't play again now, I'll do whatever you want and I'll give you all the attention in the world."
Sunmi rolled her eyes.
"Funny... your game is still on the screen."
"It's just gameplay... a trap to see how far you would go.", you confessed.
"You are veeery funny.", Sunmi said, without a hint of truth. "You said you're going to give me all the attention in the world and do what I want. Is that true?", she asked, still pouting.
"Super duper ultra true.", you raised your pinky to her.
"Okay then.", she joined her pinky with yours and then you kissed her, pressing her against you.
After a while on that kiss, Sunmi separated your lips.
"How long has that gameplay been running?"
"A few minutes, why?", you slid your lips over hers.
"All this time you could be just giving me attention?!", she was indignant. “I was about to play the bass!”
"Oh, baby, come here.", you pulled her, laughing.
She would not need to ask for your attention. Never. Your eyes would always be focused on her.
Another kiss started and you both smiled. Healthy love games always ended with Sunmi’s lips’ taste and sincere, beautiful smiles. And the two of you ended up winning. There was no better game.

Foreword: After a few weeks I finally took the time to reach your request dear Anon, I hope it will be useful to you. I advise you to read (or come back to) the tutorial of our famous De Villiers which is quite complete! Here are my personal priorities, what goes through my head when I take / prepare a screenshot.
My computer equipment is : - Intel® Core™ i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz - RAM : 32 Go (16 at the beginning, I added some more) - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti This allows me to play in "Ultra" graphics + some reshades... which helps for the quality of the rendering.
- My tips for screenshots -
> "WRITING LIKE A FILM"
When I go into camera mode, I project myself into the shoes of a cameraman on a film set. Or a photographer in terms of portraits, etc.
It's all about intention, and the choice of your angle of view is the means to achieve your intention.
Here (Image A), it's a point of view with its back to the characters. It is an intention:
From the camera's perspective ("zoom out", image B), we can see that the first screen (A) was from the point of view of the approaching curious princess.
Notes :
There is a play of depth in the shot (a little badly done I admit) : the over-framing of the door, the princess, the sofa where we are talking and finally the background (4).
Ideally, you should have at least 3 levels of depth to give a realistic impression. More if you want to show the grandeur of a setting like a castle.
In my opinion, we must strive to find intentions in the screens. You have to see it as a kind of writing of the image.
Sometimes I don't necessarily have a clear idea when I shoot a scene, so I take the scene from absolutely every angle. Then comes a big sorting moment lasting several dozen minutes, where I observe the screens meticulously.
Don't hesitate to multiply the angles of view with different poses. This will give you more storytelling possibilities! Bring your camera closer to yours characters, for example, by positioning yourself over his/her shoulder.
> THE SETTING
The thing that takes me the longest to prepare for a shot is the placement of the objects/architecture. This is what creates the depth of field. I would advise you to take references to furnish your rooms, and take the time to test the screenshots during construction if you have TwistedMexi's Buildmod Freecam.
In the Tuileries Palace (Image C), I'm trying to create a more or less parallel setting with my Sims in the centre to give it a "French style" in reference to our dear Louis XIV.
For a nature holiday, nature and scenery invade the Sims, with a slight asymmetry (Image D).
Notes :
Present the screenshots from the most general shot, which sets the scene (e.g. a building), to the most specific (e.g. with a close-up on your sims). Or vice versa! This sets the mood for your scene.
I try to use as much natural light from outside as possible, even through the windows. But some people do completely artificial lighting :)
Avoid showing the white ceilings of the base game and unworked scenery... This disturbs the immersion, especially during a BTS. In movies or IRL, especially during a conversation, it is rare to see the ceiling or the floor.
Sometimes "show" is enough to describe a mood, a relationship or an action. In this case, the setting or close-ups can be very important without the characters speaking. For example, in image D, this screenshot can sum up the atmosphere of a whole weekend's holiday, without adding to it.
> YOUR COMPUTER SCREEN AND POST-PROCESSING
For Tumblr, consider the size of your computer screen when decorating. Because your screenshots will take the shape of your screen. As you can see, I have two computer screens: one more square (Images A & B) and one very horizontal (Images C & D).
My sims are naturally more discreet in my horizontal format, which is a landscape format. Whereas the square screen displays the sims better as it is closer to the portrait / small screen format.
You can adjust the format of your screens by cropping your shots with a software (some use Photoshop... I only use the Windows image gallery for my part, or the Pixelr site which is free).
For my last portrait (Image E), I had to crop to portrait size (Image F below). Otherwise my emperor is too much crushed by the background.
Further down, I took a closer screen, zoomed in (Image G). Result: considerable gain in sharpness. Cropping can cause a loss of sharpness, you have to be careful not to abuse it.
> CURIOSITY IS WELCOME EVEN FOR SCREENSHOTS
My main advice is to look with interest at the work of simblr that you like, but also at official films or portraits etc. Understand the intentions and the means used to achieve them. Informed work always makes a difference in terms of quality of rendering. When I like a post, I always take several readings and re-readings of the means used. There is a lot of creativity! There's no shame in taking inspiration from other creators (in Tumblr or outside Tumblr), it's the best way to forge your own style.
Mind you, I'm not talking about comparing yourself to others. Inspiration is an element of curiosity, not comparison, it shouldn't make you feel bad. Nor should it lead you to plagiarize.
> COLOURS IN THE SCREENSHOT
When I set up a set and dress my sims, I pay attention to the colours given to each of them. The colours are also a way to emphasize an intention (colour symbolism), or/and to bring balance to your screenshot.
It's a soft and bright family picture with green/blue/beige colours (Image H). A bright colour would have brought a certain imbalance, either on the sims or the decor.
Bad editing to illustrate! (Image I) It seems a bit obvious when we talk about it here like this, but colour harmony is subtle and sometimes a bit forgotten. Breaking the harmony can be an intention of course, but it's still a dosage!

FAQ
What type of computer do I need? Can it be used on a Mac/iPhone/iPad?
Each system will have its own list of minimum system requirements. generally, though, you’ll need Windows 7 or later, 4gig of RAM, and a minimum of 1gig of disk drive space. an honest graphics card is going to be required to point out the courses in high definition, and you’ll need a powerful processor just like the Intel i5 or newer. Most of the listed systems here will work on Mac also as Windows PCs. However, you ought to double-check with the manufacturer before making a sale.
Will, I should buy these golf simulators?
No. Each listed simulator comes with everything you want to have to play, with the exception of mobile apps and computers. Of course, you’ll also need your own golf clubs to play, and you’ll always prefer to purchase more courses.

sch5p2's vices:
sch5p2's port requires a specific graphics setup (120hz monitor and a consistent 60fps, among other things) to play the game as intended.
sch5p2's port requires a lot of other specific things that nobody even knows about to play the game as intended
the launcher is hideously broken.
many gameplay features are missing, such as: adjusting music, sfx, and character voices individually; rotating the camera in ulala's dance mode; binding multiple commands to the same button.
other gameplay features can only be accessed with a gamepad, such as blank's "invincible mode" cheat code, the camera flip cheat code, and i'm sure there's more...
japanese dub plays in the english dub at many points, and because the launcher is hideously broken, the entire japanese dub sometimes plays instead of the english dub at many points.
sch5p2's virtues:
the game's textures are such are clearly upscaled dreamcast and ps2 textures (which, unless you're one of those people who wants everything to be super ultra realistic hd, is fine). and, with that, the style of the game's visuals is consistent. the style is simple, with objects and other environment elements mostly being solid colours with crappy (but consistently crappy) shading and details sometimes to add as much realism as a ps2-era game can.
the characters are the most detailed, with textured hair and semi-realistic(but not super realistic hd)-styled faces. main characters, as well as bosses, characters working for space channel 5, or the space rescue squad, have notably shiny clothes—shiny like plastic
despite lacking special lighting effects and fog at certain points, it doesn't affect the mood of certain scenes or areas much at all, as other effects informing the mood are left intact.
the hud is minimal and it meshes well with the aesthetic and stuff and doesn't get in the way of the camera at all
kprs' vices:
i am not going to go into this right now because i just got a tummyache whilst writing this but. there is a great amount of inconsistency in the games' textures. like.
lolo has fingernails and her earlobes are detailed but the rest of her skin is just a plain colour except for weird shading. her hair is a plain simple colour, save for weird shading. oh when we go back to her dress it's detailed as balls it even got a normalmap texture. everything else is simple though
meanwhile leorina has much more minimally-detailed earlobes, and she has way less weird shading than lolo. her hair is super detailed. leorina's clothes as a whole are very detailed.
the entirety of popka is plain colour + weird shading Except For His Scarf, Which Is Detailed
the texture of klonoa's black fur is more than just a plain colour, but it's a looping tiled texture that just looks awful. the texture of klonoa's white fur has a subtle actual fur texture beneath cartoony tufts. klonoa also gets normalmaps (but only k2 klonoa???)
the characters aren't the only things like this. after fighting biskarsh for the dozenth time i realised thst biskarsh and the environment's textures were also a bit inconsistent with the artistic decisions. it's all in the same visual style, i suppose, but it's also visibly different, and what's different compared to other things changes all the time because of the frequency of inconsistency.
and more but again i have a tummyache arhfhgjfbgfhhghg
on an alignment chart with two axis, being "good gameplay – bad gameplay" and "good graphics – bad graphics" sch5p2 is in the "bad gameplay but good graphics" and kprs is in the "good gameplay but bad graphics"
#ask to tag#long post#klonoa#space channel 5#i realise that the drvelopers of kprs only had like. a year? to develop kprs#i don't know about how long the developers of the sch5p2 port had to make it but#i understand kprs's flaws may stem from not having enough time to do things

finally playing dai!! first impressions:
playing on ultra quality graphics is very cool
characters are getting realistic to the point of entering the uncanny valley. choosing specific settings for my lips felt very strange
i leave footprints in the snow????????
you cant get it to pause when combat starts so im very overwhelmed
does your health regen over time??? i cant tell and it’s concerning me
whyy do you have to be so close to things to see that you can loot them, im gonna miss 90% of the loot in this game
I CAN JUMP
i am less stressed now that varric is here
i am more stressed now that cullen is here
you cant assign attributes anymore and im sad about it
you cant set custom tactics (i think) which is fine for my first playthrough, but im sad about it for future playthroughs when i know what im doing
the fact that missions have a timer means im gonna constantly be like “i’ll just play until the next one’s done” and i will never sleep again
i deeply miss the map in the corner. im gonna get so lost in this game rip.
maybe i just need some time to adjust, but i dont like how a lot of systems have been changed
a lot of this sounds very complain-y but i am enjoying it so far and look forward to really getting into the story and getting to know the characters!!!!!!!! and also getting to know my character. it’s interesting playing a qunari mage that’s considered to be essentially a prophet of the christianity-equivalent.
#especially given the very obvious (and problematic) parallels you can draw between the qun (and qunari in general) and some irl cultures#which definitely makes act 2 of da2 rub me very much the wrong way#(to be fair act 3 is also bad in the way they portray the plight of an oppressed group)#(i love da2 to bits but the more you think about the story the worse it gets lmao my children all deserved so much better)#this post sounds so negative but i promise it's not mean to lmaoooo i am hyped im just very overwhelmed#i half considered lowering the game to medium or even low quality graphics just to feel less overwhelmed#aside: ive just discovered that you can drag tags around on posts???????? good to know omg#but like.. obv da2 made a lot of mechanics much simpler and in some cases that was good but in others it wasnt#(eg i liked crafting in dao. i didnt use it much but that's bc ive only played once; it's cool and i miss it)#(on the other hand i like that they made combat and looting simpler with the auto-fight/loot button)#(i guess the takeaway here is that i enjoy when the add features but not when they remove them lmao makes sense)#it seems like theyve made some things more complicated in dai which im not necessarily a fan of#we'll see. summing up my experience so far in one word would just be 'overwhelmed'. but it's only been 1 session of playing so we'll see.#im also going in 100% blind (including with mechanics) so that doesnt help rip#ash plays da#ash plays dai#tldr: i play for story so mechanic changes are stressful

The Whole Marvelous Super Ultra Cosmic Magical Comic Book Universe
The produce of imagination and business that was Marvel Comics was a synchronic harmony sounded by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko and every one of the creators and craftsmen and inkers and colorists who worked there. Everything began during the mid 1960's the point at which the Fantastic Four and Spider-man and the X-men (The Uncanny X-Men) were framed from the creative mind of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
X-men was a film industry crush the previous summer. I'm certain you additionally recall the profoundly effective Hulk TV show.
The most punctual X-men comprised of Jean (Marvel Girl) Gray (who later turned into the amazingly well known Phoenix), Professor X (Xavier), Cyclops (Scott Summers), the insightful Beast (Hank McCoy), and Iceman (Bobbie). Freaks brought into the world with exceptional "super-freak" capacities.
Later came the New Mutants with more youthful characters having freak controls that occasionally appeared to have them (the main sort of comic book story I don't care for).
These characters from X-men including (Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Storm, Banshee, Kitty) advanced with the appearance of the imagination of John Byrne (beginning in issue #108 of X-men) and Chris Claremont (Giant Sized X-men #1 and Uncanny X-men #94 now esteemed at $500. up in "mint" condition. The most famous person was the principle star in the X-men film- - Wolverine. There makes certain to be a continuation for this film industry crush.
X-men Comics instructed kids that bias is shrewd. Individuals who live in dread and in this way eagerness attempt to annihilate what they don't comprehend.
Fascinating that both the latest Star Wars film and X-men film truly investigated lawmakers (Congress). In the event that force undermines totally is it conceivable our framework is totally bad? The Senator in the X-men film took in his example somewhat late.
Insect man- - the new Marvel film in progress - is about a typical young child anxiety (menaces thumping him, not getting any darlings, skin break out, etc is gentle stuff contrasted with the present school encounters -, for example, not having chance and killed while going to or going to the everyday schedule lured by a destructive medication or tainted by a stellar infection) is only nibbled by a radioactive bug (revolutionary stuff for the mid 1960's).
This gives Peter Parker super powers- - creepy crawly controls - whenever intensified a man could lift a truck and convey it 20 miles as insects do. (Try not to get me going discussing Henry Pym the Antman who became Giant Man in the Marvel's Avengers ((Capt. America, Thor the Thunder God etc.))). Add to that Peter Parker was likewise a splendid understudy who had the option to concoct a web shooter and other extraordinary innovations. What's more, Spider-man was brought into the world as a bi-result of the bi-item known as radioactive material (which Science actually doesn't have the foggiest idea how to dispose of). (Take a stab at telling that to the Bush organization). Everything is energy! Recall Tesla curls.
However, Marvel was not by any means the only spot strutting superpowered characters.
D.C. Funnies (Time Warner), as well, used folklore and accounts of Biblical extents to entrain, invigorate and energize ages of youngsters, children and grown-ups from the 1940's to introduce.
A few characters like Superman, Atom, Flash, Batman, Green Lantern, JLA and others and even D.C's. adaptation of Capt. Wonder might have been propelled by profound writing which recounted Hindu Gods and Goddesses and surprisingly Biblical personages who could remain in fire and so forth
Contents and Wit
Superheroes: starting through human creative mind and from writing, folklore, religion.
However most likely comic makers just made up their wondrous stories.
When I talked with Gerry Conway for the Comics Journal he conceded to me that he had investigated a portion of the funnies he composed. Conway's companion accomplice Roy Thomas no question investigated Conan and Thor and other material while author and supervisor at Marvel. They cooperated on the incredible enlivened Fire and Ice film. (Ralph Bakshi/Frank Frazetta).
Also, at first Thomas got the Conan property over to Marvel from Edgar Rice Burroughs in Tarzana, CA. (Tarzana- - Tarzan...get it? That's right, it also is a comic.)
More seasoned society know and love the endless Films and TV shows and serials highlighting these and other most loved brilliant characters: Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, Commander Cody (which might have enlivened the Rocketeer comic and film).
COMIC BOOKS - Born by the sheer exhurberance of the actual Universe through the vehicle of the Human Being!
The Comic Industry is an analogy forever. An inestimable dramatization unfurling. In any case, not to place old wine into new containers: Many occasions in the past Marvel and D.C. have joined to do specials that helps the play of imagination. I initially met Stan Lee while I was the administrator of a Comic Book Store in Studio City, California in the 1970's.
Or then again, more precisely, I met him through his works at Marvel Comics - his exceptional contents and mind in 1961.
Exceptionally astute association with the fans through clubs and letter sections in bygone times caused one to feel like one was a piece of something. With Merry Marvel "we had a place."
Stan Lee's accounts contained genuine person's, finished with issues and the start of incredible groundbreaking thoughts and standards for carrying on with a decent life.
As when Spider-man didn't stop a Burglar - a similar Burglar who later killed his caring Uncle- - Peter Parker (Spider-man) got the message - serve humankind. With extraordinary force comes liability.
Furthermore, obligation is the capacity to react.
Energizing anecdotal stories loaded with experience and energy with ethics. Outlined lavishly.
Wonder Super characters were at first looked on by society as trouble makers. Even subsequent to saving human butt large number of times.
J. Jonah Jameson (modest Editor of the Daily Bugle paper) has abhorred Spider-person for more than 30 years. Jameson really attempted to annihilate Spider-man by turning into a super reprobate.
Adrenaline junkie (blind Attorney yet Batman-esque in capacities and actual strength and spryness - however with uplifted faculties) the Man unafraid was regularly marked a scalawag too from the start.
Similar to the always well known Incredible Hulk - first deified as a comic book during the 1960's. Who went from dull and idiotic to approach virtuoso relying upon the decade where this suffering person is perused.
What we dread we regularly view as shrewd.
Funnies have attempted to instruct us that the means are pretty much as significant as the finishes they produce.
What we do en route decides the outcome we will get. Funnies are distributed in light of the fact that a word sounds great to the distributer. However, a portion of these new youthful free distributers need to find out about the significance inside these words (thus do their clients). However, more capacity to these ambitious youths.
What is Yoga, Meditation, Tai Chi, Mantra? What is Zen? (One youthful upstart distributer of "Harmony - intergalactic Ninja" had never known about Alan Watts - incredible advertiser of Zen until I let him know Alan Watts was a renowned and famous scholar turned maverick Philosopher and Author (one of many) liable for acquainting Eastern Religions with the profoundly starved West- - frequently heard on KPFK radio. Alan Watts is potentially the chief advertiser of Zen. Watts' book " The Wisdom of Insecurity," specifies, for goodness' sake, Comic Books. What are Chakras? The Tao implies what? When children grow up and find out with regards to Meditation will they be spoiled by our ineptitude and insatiability?
Trendy expressions ordinarily lower cognizance and create turmoil. Obviously when I use to distribute stuff as a young person I made up names that sounded great however had almost no significance, for example, Beyond Infinity, مانجا لاند, Eon the Magazine of Graphic Illusions. I know less now than I did then, at that point. What is make, craftsmanship, Love, Truth?
I held a few signature parties with Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in the 1970's and 1980's. I tossed more than 50 effective signature parties with numerous awesome comic book specialists and authors. I'd have the occasion, give rewards, do all the publicizing, realistic workmanship, official statements, and so forth It was an invigorating encounter. It was enjoyable to cooperate with professionals and fans. I parted with a ton of free promotion stuff.
10th Nebula's first signature party was held with Stan Lee, distributer of Marvel Comics. For a considerable length of time my shop suffered in North Hollywood, CA nearby to the world's most seasoned Science Fiction Club (an inherent crowd of companions and fans and PC monsters).
The Stan Lee occasion evoked long queues of Comic Book devotees of any age slobbering for Stan's mark on the sprinkle page of their old and new funnies. These days experts sign funnies on the front of their title en mass which I don't support. (Yet, who pays attention to me).
Funnies structures are frequently manhandled by hopeful youthful distributers who utilize a few pointless full page sprinkles when the impact could be accomplished in a minuscule board - misuse of cash, ink and paper if you were to ask me. Not at all like bygone times when Steve Ditko gave us our best possible value as around 6 boards for each page - he in his manner resembled a Zen Master - the accuracy of his work matched the craft of Chinese Calligraphy (see his one of a kind style in old Atlas Comics from the 1950's). A portion of the new experimentation's by Frank Miller and different gifts have all accomplished outstandingly imaginative work as well.
