Chiefs Dominate Steelers in Exciting Christmas Matchup
Kansas City Chiefs played a great Christmas Day game against Pittsburgh Steelers. With standout plays by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs were never on the back foot and managed to dominate the entire game. The Steelers did all they could to make the game exciting, especially through some defensive brilliance, but it was not enough to counter the relentless offense of Kansas City. Fans…

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’re not with Alexia when the campaign drops. You’re not even watching the game, you’ve never been quite able to wrap your head around the nfl thing or get into like your girlfriend, the rules of rugby have been so ingrained in your mind from childhood that seeing men run around in massive pads just gives you an ick.
You’re not even the person who sees it first, you’re sitting in a cafe trying to get some studying done because it’s impossible to do at home when your clingy girlfriend insists on sitting, holding, grabbing or clinging onto any part of your body when she’s bored. It’s like trying to keep a five year old entertained, and it always ends up with you sacrificing whatever coursework you have and being endlessly stressed when you fall behind. You simply leave studying for when Alexia is out of the house or when you have time to study elsewhere.
You’re heavily engrossed in rewatching a lecture you’d missed the previous week due to training when your phone lights up. It’s no exaggeration, your phone screen goes from being blank and dark to suddenly notification after notification pouring in. Different groupchats, instagram tags, text messages. There’s another ten minutes left on your study clock before you’re technically allowed to take a break but with every thing that pops up your only become more curious. Curious enough that you look down at your clock with complete disregard and reach for your phone. It’s sitting next to your laptop, it’s supposed to be upside down to minimise distraction but when you were watching the lecture it stopped you from being able to check the time and you liked to watch as the time ticked by.
You click onto you groupchat first, a mixture of Barca girls, mostly the older ones. Most importantly Mapi, who has bombarded the groupchat in a matter of seconds, with image after image of your girlfriend.
You click onto them harmlessly, Alexia has a series of campaigns that you’re aware of that are coming out in the next few months. As you’re waiting for the images to load you try and remember if she’d told you about any coming up, there was something for Cupra at the end of february and a big campaign for more than eleven in march, and a few smaller things amongst it but nothing you could think of that was due to release today, or in the next week.
When the first image loads, you’re eyes almost bug out. Your throat closes, the oxygen leaves your lungs and you feel almost dizzy. You have to blink multiple times to clarify that what you’re looking at is real, it’s not just a hallucination of some wet dream you’ve had, it’s a real photo that exists in front of you. As you flick through them, you only feel more unwell, and a little bit wet… or a lot.
The first one is just Alexia’s face, staring straight down the lense. The way she’s been captured is almost animalistic, pink sports bra, big earrings, her hair in the wet look. It’s her eyes though, pointed straight on, the eye fuck look, like she’s staring into your soul the same way she does before she’s about to rail you, except it’s all magically been captured in one photo. You want to look at it forever, you’re scared you’ve actually lost the ability to use your extremities and all the oxygen has stopped circulating inside your body from the mix of shock and awe.
With as much power you have you flick to the next photo, and if you were already feeling unwell this feeling is close to death.
Alexia, looking over her shoulder, flexing.
All of her tattoos are on show, every single muscle is accentuated and you almost drool on your phone as you study all of the different parts of the picture. Alexia’s skin is literally glowing, effervescently in a way you cannot even begin to describe. You know from thousands of hours of tracing the skin of your girlfriends back just how strong she is, yet with everything emphasised more in the photo you feel like no matter how many hours you’ve spent staring this is adding a whole new perspective. Her arms, her facial expressions, the illusion of her hair sticking to her skin, the pink contrast against her skin.
You have to scroll, because if you don’t you won’t be responsible for the actions you engage in whilst in a very public space.
The following few pictures are of other athletes, basketball players, gymnasts, runners, other football players. For the most part, americans, yet your girlfriend in all her glory is a part of it.
You get through quite a few photos before it comes to the video, you were already gobsmacked, but the video seals it for you.
Alexia looks flawless, absolutely ethereal in every way. It actually feels like you are living in one of your fantasies or dreams but no this is very much real life and you are actually dating the person on your screen.
There’s no chance you’re going to get any work done, you can’t even get a coherent thought that doesn’t involve Alexia. Alexia’s abs, Alexia’s back, Alexia’s eyes, Alexia’s face, Alexia. You pack up your books and laptop with one thought on your mind, seeing your girlfriend.
Mapi’s private messages to you are filthy, message after message of her reminding your of what is now out in the world and about how now even more people are going to be even more obsessed with her.
You drive home over the speed limit and slightly recklessly, it’s not a long drive from your favourite study spot to you and Alexia’s shared house, but it feels like it drags on for forever. Your knuckles are white from your tight grip on the steering wheel and your unoccupied foot is bounding furiously against your floormat. You run a couple of close yellows, which are mostly red and have a complete disregard for giving way to anybody. You have an end goal, and that goal is to get home before you combust from all of the built up energy and tension in your body from the reruns of the pictures you’d seen.
You’re not even sure if you put the car in park when you swing into the driveway, you practically sprint towards the door, leaving Alexia’s prized cupra to fend for itself. Your hand is so sweaty you struggle with the door knob for a few seconds, your brain is frantic and you struggle and jiggle with it until it finally turns and there is nothing between you and finding exactly what you’re looking for.
Alexia isn’t in the front room, not that she normally would be. You pace your way through the hallway, past your bedroom which seems unoccupied and into the living room.
Alexia.
Alexia is sitting, on your couch, trying to look as nonchalant as possible, though it’s hard to appreciate it with the shit eating grin on her face as she tries to make herself look comfortable and like she’s actually lounging on your couch. Her body is tense, it gives away her whole bravado, you don’t really care though.
“You’re home early? You said you wouldn’t be back till lunch time, no?”
There is no acknowledging of her comment, you take your jacket off and lay it on the edge of the couch before unceremoniously pouncing on your girlfriend.
“I cannot believe you.”
Alexia makes it easy enough for you to straddle her lap, opening up her legs and making plenty of room for you.
You stare into her eyes and all you can picture is the photo of her, the look on her face isn’t dissimilar to the one captured, but it’s not quite the same.
“The campaign? Did I not mention it?”
You roll your eyes before leaning down, alexia goes with ease, her mouth opening up for you as soon as your lips meet hers. It’s all teeth and tongue, not quite a fight for dominance, just pure arousal.
“You’re a brat, and really fucking sexy.”
Alexia smirks against your lips, and then she bites back, her tongue fighting against yours.
“So you like it?”
You move your lips to Alexia’s neck, licking a line down her neck and kissing up it before biting down, foregoing any kind of gentle.
“Do I like my girlfriend looking extremely fuckable on the internet? Jury’s still out on that one.”
Alexia chuckles, leaning her head back to give you full access to her neck.
“Mm, muy fuckable.”
The laugh that leaves her mouth is enough fuel for you to nip her again, sucking a mark right above her collar bone, not directly visible but enough to make her sweat about keeping it hidden at training tomorrow.
“I’m going to need a private show in that outfit at some stage.”
You move back up to Alexia’s mouth, this time the make out is less frantic, you’ve gotten out some of your residual jitters.
“That can always be arranged.”
You tug at the hem of Alexia’s sleep shirt that she still hasn’t gotten out of yet.
“Bed first, fashion show after.”
In the swiftest motion possible Alexia is bringing herself up onto her feet, and lifting you with her. You wrap your legs around her torso, never breaking the makeout.
She makes it to your bedroom at a record speed, dumping you onto the mattress before climbing back on top of you, her shirt being thrown haphazardly into the air somewhere as she lowers herself down. There’s no bra to fight with and you reach for her breasts before her lips are back on you, grabbing and rolling at her nipples until she gets the message and has climbed fully onto the mattress on top of you.
Alexia stays on top of you, making out for a while, until she get’s bored with her hands and decides that you need to mirror her level of undressed. She flips you on top with so much ease that it doesn’t even surprise you, the photos on the internet showed Alexia’s muscles, but they didn’t show just how strong your girlfriend truly was.
Alexia didn’t mess around with your tank top and bra, tugging them off with the same kind of urgency that you’d been in to get back to the house earlier. As soon as the clothes are gone you’re flipped back onto the mattress, Alexia retaking her position. Her hands go straight to your tits, pinching and pulling in a way that makes your back nearly arch off the bed. You’re already aroused from your session in the coffee shop, but this is only adding fuel to the fire.
It takes everything in you not to moan immediately, you clench your jaw and bite your lip as Alexia elicits all different kinds of sensations.
‘Sé ruidoso bebita.”
As per usual, not much gets past Alexia, you try to relax just slightly, let yourself feel it all completely.
“How wet are you going to be when I finally touch your pussy, hm? How wet did my photos get you? All hot and bothered in the coffee shop like a little slut.”
There is no point in shaking your head, you just smirk, you’re proud of it, you’re proud that you get to come home to this and everyone else just has to enjoy Alexia from a far.
“Show me, reach into your panties and show me how wet you are and maybe I’ll think about touching you.”
You hesitate for a second, but then Alexia pinches on of your nipples and rolls your other breast in her hand and your hand naturally moves downwards, your hips canting up as you do so.
Your fingertips are glistening and dripping as you bring them out of your shorts, Alexia doesn’t hesitate to pull them straight into her mouth, sucking all of your arousal straight off.
“Alexia, please.”
Alexia licks her lips in a way that makes you so certain that she’s desperate for more, she’s just as turned on about this as you are.
“Pants off.”
As soon as the words leave her mouth your reaching for them hem of your pants and kicking them off, your panties go with them.
Alexia doesn’t wait, she moves her body downwards until her mouth is hovering right above you.
She looks up at you, hesitates for a second, it’s the exact same face as the photo, beautifully feral.
She doesn’t hold back whatsoever, her mouth goes straight to your clit and you’re already aroused, already dripping everywhere but you reach another level. Your moans are breathy and free falling.
“Fuck baby, feels so good.”
You’re a stuttering mess and far too aroused to try and pretend like you aren’t already close.
Alexia keeps a steady pace, licking and sucking at your clit and occasionally living long strips up from your pussy. It feels so good, earth shattering good.
“Ale, close.”
You expect her to pull back a little bit, normally she likes to prolong your pleasure just a little bit, the wait is worth the reward. But it seems like the both of you are too aroused to ignore the urgency of the situation. Alexia doubles down, her arms pushing your thighs further apart and reaching up behind you to grab at your ass whilst she enjoys having more access.
When you realise she isn’t going to let up you unclench your hands from the sheets and push them into Alexia’s hair, grabbing at the root and pushing her exactly where you want, grinding down against her chin.
It doesn’t take long at all, alread close as it was. Then Alexia grazes her teeth over your clit and doubles down and you see stars. Your body goes with you, shaking and tensing before relaxing as your enjoy the aftershocks. Alexia takes the opportunity, pushing two fingers into you and setting a brutal pace.
“Alexia, need a second.”
Alexia doesn’t stop, if anything she only goes harder, her fingers searching for your g-spot and finding it with ease. The overstimulation makes your stomach tight and yoru clit ache, in the best way.
“Una mas.”
You shake your head, even though it’s blatantly clear you’re going to give her another one, there isn’t really a world where you wouldn’t, not when Alexia makes it so easy to feel so good.
“You can give me one more bebita.”
Alexia’s palm grinds against your clit gloriously, it’s a bit too much for a few seconds but it fades as the pleasure overtakes.
Alexia’s favourite activity is amking you fall apart, watching you experience a kind of pleasure that is unmatchable, all at her own hands. Alexia adds a third finger, knowing that it’ll give you what you need.
It’s more than enough for what you need to reach a release. This time the initial orgasm lasts longer, you tense for a few seconds before you go boneless on the mattress. You melt into the sheets, your head lulling against the pillow as you breathe your way through.
Once you’ve stopped clenching against Alexia she pulls her fingers out, licking up every part of your orgasm, not leaving a single drop behind.
She crawls her way up to you, lying down on her side next to you, looking at the blissed out expression on your face.
Your eyes open lazily, a big smile on your face.
“You’re unreal, literally, how did I get this lucky?”
Alexia leans in, it would be rude to not kiss your lips at every possible chance, especially when your smiling at her like that.
“The real question is how I got this lucky.”
It the same kind of phrase that would elicit vomiting noises from your teammates in the locker room, and yet you love it all the same.
The kiss is soft, everything you need in the moment. It gives you enough confidence to reach your hands down inbetween the two of you, pressing down against Alexia’s front with one intention.
Alexia gasps into your mouth, and it’s enough guidance for you.
You walk your fingers up to the waistband of her pyjama shorts that she still hasn’t changed out of at nearly midday. You trail them down on the inside, unsurprised at her lack of underwear.
Alexia’s wet, the cotton of her shorts sticking to the insides of her thighs.
You part her folds, enjoying the way she moans and gasps into your mouth as you map your way through a different part of her body.
When your fingers find her clit, it’s easy to tell just how turned on she is.
You set a pace of fast tight circles, you’re well educated on Alexia’s body and when she’s this worked up this is the best way to get her to an orgasm.
You know she’s getting closer when her kisses get sloppier and desperate, her lips hang onto yours like they’re becoming an extension of her, like she’s scared that if you separate it’ll take part of her with her.
She shakes and grinds into you, searching for that last bit of stimulation she needs. When she infds it she groans into your mouth, her hips jerking one final time before they go weak, her body goes still for a few seconds. You slow down but don’t come to a full stop, pulling every last bit of her orgasm out for her until she’s tugging your hand out of her shorts.
Alexia presses some soft kisses to your lips before pulling you into her with one arm.
“If that’s what I get every time I take some nice pictures, maybe I should do it a bit more. See if I can get a job with Victoria’s secret or a swimsuit company.”
Alexia doesn’t need to see the look on your face to know exactly how all of your features would clenhc up and your eyes would roll.
“If you do that there will be a whole lot less sex for you and a whole lot more sessions with my vibrator for me. You’re cute, but I’d like to keep some of it for me.”
Alexia snorts, before tugging you in tighter.
“The fans would like it so much though, maybe I should just post some of the photos from the beach over the summer in Ibiza, the topless ones were cute.”
You elbow Alexia straight in the gut.
“How about you model the nike outfits for me first, and then we can decide how far you can take your new found modelling career.”
You’re still in slight disbelief that Alexia managed to keep something this big from you. She was obviously always having ongoing things going with nike, but something this big, and this special was hard to keep underwraps.
“I looked that good, huh?”
You roll even further into Alexia, pressing your whole body into hers.
“Muy bueno. New additions to the wank bank right there.”
You snort when you look over your shoulder and see the confusion on Alexia’s face, her english is good, but her english slang lacks in certain departments.
“Wank bank?”
You snort again, the innocence behind her voice makes it so much better.
“Just my folder for when I’m very alone on camp, and need some extra assistance.”
Alexia’s brain clicks, she laughs, and then the meaning must click in because she blushes beet red.
You stand up, already searching for your forgotten articles of clothing.
“Wait a minute, wank bank? What else is in this folder?”
You’re already tugging your pants on and trying to find your tank top which had apparently vanished into thin air.
“Hopefully whatever new photos I can find in the album of spares that was left over from this shoot.”
Before you can hear what else Alexia says you’re racing off in search of her laptop.
“Wait, I need to see this folder. Bebita, I need my own folder. WHAT IS IN THIS FOLDER.”

anyways have a wonderful day/night! i love you! somebody out there loves you! you are blessed to have this day and every other one to come <3

secret of us II - joe burrow
summary joe’s world is unraveling, and without you, he’s learning that holding on is harder than he ever imagined; but losing you isn’t an option
content angst, swearing, slow burn
part one ; next
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can’t keep wondering where I stand in your world.
The house was too quiet, emptier than ever.
Joe sat in the dim light of his living room, the muted TV casting flickering shadows on the walls. He was supposed to be studying old game footage, but the glow of the screen barely registered. It couldn’t drown out the echo of your voice.
It replayed in his mind, over and over, like a record stuck on a loop, refusing to fade.
I can’t keep wondering where I stand in your world.
The line haunted him, cutting deeper with every repetition. You weren’t wrong. You deserved more. But knowing that didn’t make it any easier to fix, didn’t tell him how to bridge the growing distance he’d let spiral between you.
He drug a hand through his hair, his eyes drifting to his phone on the coffee table. Your name was still pinned at the top of his messages, sitting alongside his mom’s. The sight made something sharp twist in his gut. He reached for it instinctively, but his fingers froze just above the screen.
It wasn’t the first time tonight. He’d done this before; reached, hesitated, then pulled back, like the phone might scald him. Each time, his mind raced with half-formed messages, things he couldn’t bring himself to say.
I’m sorry? It felt hollow.
I miss you? Too selfish.
I love you? Too late.
With a sigh, he picked up the phone anyway, his thumb hovering over your name. For a moment, he considered unpinning the conversation, as if removing it from the top of his screen might lessen the weight in his chest. But his thumb faltered, trembling, before he dropped the phone back onto the table with a muted thud.
He couldn’t do it. Couldn’t let go. But he couldn’t reach out, either.
The silence in the room pressed heavier against him, suffocating. The faint hum of the fridge in the kitchen buzzed in his ears, and the occasional rumble of passing cars outside only reminded him how still everything inside felt. His thoughts raced, looping back to memories he wished he could escape.
Your laugh came first, bright and unguarded, the kind of sound that could lift even his heaviest days. He could picture it clearly: the way you’d throw your head back slightly, your eyes crinkling at the corners as your whole body gave into the moment. He remembered how it felt to make you laugh, the warmth that bloomed in him, the way it silenced every doubt.
Then there was the way you always noticed him. Not Joe Burrow, star NFL quarterback. Just Joe. You’d catch the tension in his shoulders after a bad game, the quiet in his voice when something wasn’t right. “You’re off today,” you’d say, your tone gentle but firm, like you wouldn’t let him brush it off. You always saw through him, and he’d let you, because it felt safe.
But he’d squandered that now. Pushed you away so thoroughly that even those memories felt like shards of glass pressing into his skin.
And still, your voice echoed in his mind, broken and tired: I can’t keep wondering where I stand in your world.
Tumblr media
Do I even mean something to him?
The silence was unbearable.
You sat cross-legged on your bed, your phone resting beside you like a taunt. The weight of Joe’s absence clung to you, heavy and unrelenting. You told yourself you shouldn’t care this much, that you’d done the right thing by walking away. But the questions still clawed at the edges of your mind.
Do I even mean something to him?
The thought alone sent a pang through your chest. You tried to rationalize it, to tell yourself that he’d been distant because of something unrelated to you.
But the late-night doubts crept in, twisting the truth into something darker.
What if he never cared? The question whispered through your thoughts, insidious and relentless. What if I’ve been holding onto something that was never there?
Your phone buzzed once, a notification breaking the stillness. Your heart leapt, but the moment you saw it wasn’t from him, disappointment settled like a stone in your stomach. You shoved the phone away, letting it slide across the bed.
Glancing toward the mirror across the room, you caught your reflection in the dim light. For a moment, you stared, searching your own eyes for answers you couldn’t find.
What was it about him that made you hold on, even when he gave you every reason to let go?
The fear crept in, sharp and undeniable. What if I’ve invested in someone who doesn’t see me the way I see him?
The thought curled around you, smothering. You blinked hard, shaking your head as if the motion could dislodge it.
But it lingered, a truth you didn’t want to face.
So, when a friend invited you to a housewarming party, you said yes without hesitation. The idea of noise, of motion, of anything other than this unbearable quiet felt like a lifeline.
You didn’t overthink it. You didn’t let yourself. It was something to do, something to occupy your mind, something to drown out the ache that wouldn’t leave.
The house was already buzzing when you arrived, laughter and music spilling out onto the lawn. Strings of lights twinkled in the trees, their soft glow casting a warm haze over the scene.
The energy was electric, alive, a stark contrast to the silent chaos you’d been drowning in at home.
You wove through clusters of people, their voices and laughter blending into a steady hum. The scent of grilled food and spilled beer hung in the air, grounding you in the present. It was easier to focus on the movement, the sound, the colors around you.
Eventually, familiar faces came into view, Mia and Drew, the couple hosting the party. Drew’s arm was slung casually over Mia’s shoulder as they chatted with another guest, their ease a reminder of everything you used to feel when things in your life weren’t so complicated.
“Hey, you made it!” Mia beamed when she spotted you, breaking away from the conversation to pull you into a warm hug.
“Of course,” you said, forcing a smile that you hoped looked genuine. “Wouldn’t miss it.”
“Drink?” Drew offered, holding up a freshly cracked beer. His signature grin was just as lopsided and teasing as you remembered. “Or are you still pretending to be a wine connoisseur?”
You snorted, grateful for the distraction. “Still pretending, but I’ll take whatever you’ve got.”
He handed you the beer with a laugh. “Classic.”
Mia nudged him playfully before turning back to you, her expression softening. “Seriously, though, thanks for coming. It means a lot. I wasn’t sure if you’d be up for it.”
You hesitated, shrugging as you shifted the bottle between your hands. “Figured it was better than staying home.”
“Well, we’re glad you’re here,” Mia said, squeezing your arm lightly. “And I think you’ll be glad, too. Lots of familiar faces tonight.”
“Joe’s here,” Drew said casually, tipping his beer toward the living room.
Your stomach dropped. The name hit you like a sharp gust of wind, stealing the breath from your lungs.
Your grip on the bottle tightened instinctively, the flood of questions almost immediate: Did you want to see him? Could you even handle it?
The questions collided with the sinking realization that you’d somehow forgotten — how had you forgotten?
Joe was the one who’d introduced you to Mia and Drew all those years ago.
Mia’s sharp jab to Drew’s ribs made him wince, her expression darkening as she shot him a glare that could have melted steel.
She turned back to you, her eyes softening as they scanned your face, noting the way your shoulders had tensed.
“I’m so sorry,” Mia blurted, her words tumbling out in a rush. “I didn’t even think to mention it. There are so many people here, I figured you two wouldn’t even cross paths. If you want to leave, I completely understand.”
Her voice carried a mix of panic and guilt, as though she wasn’t sure which would hurt you more, staying or going. You fought to keep your expression neutral, swallowing down the dread twisting in your stomach.
“Don’t worry,” you said, your voice steadier than you felt, though the tightness in your chest betrayed you. “It’s fine. Really.”
The words tasted harsh, like a lie, but you forced them out anyway. You ignored the tightening in your grip on the drink Drew had handed you, the way the cool glass pressed against your palm like it might anchor you.
“I’ll just… stay out of his way,” you added, the shrug you offered feeling as hollow as the calm you were trying to project.
Mia searched your face, her uncertainty plain. Her lips pressed together like she wanted to argue, but she relented, nodding slowly. “Okay. Just let me know if you need anything, alright?”
You nodded back, clutching the drink as the hum of the party blurred into white noise.
Your breath came shallow and uneven as you fought the instinct to glance behind them, in the direction Drew had pointed.
You told yourself you wouldn’t look, wouldn’t let yourself go there.
But then, as if fate itself had a cruel sense of humor, your eyes caught his across the room.
Joe.
He stood near the edge of the living room, mid-conversation, but his focus had shifted.
His gaze locked on yours, and for a fleeting moment, something unguarded flickered in his expression, surprise, maybe even guilt, before it vanished, quickly replaced by that maddeningly unreadable mask he always wore so well.
An invisible force seemed to squeeze the air from your lungs, your breath hitching before you could stop it. And God, he looked good. Too good.
It wasn’t just the sharp cut of his jaw or the way his fitted shirt clung to his shoulders like it had been made for him. It was the ease in his posture, the quiet confidence in the way he stood, unaware of how effortlessly he drew attention.
The shadow of stubble along his jaw that you used to tease him about, all of it stirred something in you, something you wished would stay buried.
Your stomach twisted, heat creeping up your neck. It wasn’t fair, how he could still look like that. How he could stand there, completely oblivious to the effect he had on you, even now.
It wasn’t fair that, despite everything, some small, traitorous part of you still wanted to cross the room and close the space between you.
For a moment, the world around you blurred. The noise, the people, it all dissolved. Just you and him, caught in the weight of everything unsaid.
But it was you who blinked first, tearing your gaze away. The hollow pain grew heavier, and you took a long sip of your drink, desperate for something to distract you from the rising heat in your cheeks.
Beside you, Mia glanced between the two of you, her brows drawing together in concern. Her hand brushed your arm lightly. “Hey,” she said softly, her tone careful, deliberate. “Come with me. I’ve been dying to show off the kitchen.”
You hesitated, trying to steady your breath. “I’m fine,” you started, the lie weak even to your own ears.
But Mia didn’t wait for your protest. Her grip tightened gently, steering you toward the hallway. “Just trust me,” she murmured, her voice warm but insistent. “You’ll love it.”
You followed her, grateful for the escape, even if your mind still felt heavy. The bursts of laughter grew louder as she led you into the open kitchen.
Mia’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts as she gestured toward the expansive marble countertops. “Can you believe this? Drew’s been talking about this kitchen for months. The island alone is bigger than my first apartment.”
You nodded absently, trying to focus on her words, but the lingering tension in you made it hard to hear anything beyond the pounding of your own heart.
“And look at this,” Mia continued, pulling you toward the double ovens. Her tone was a touch too enthusiastic, like she was trying to fill the silence between you. “They’re state-of-the-art. Apparently, you can control them with your phone. Like, who even needs that?”
You managed a small laugh, the sound hollow but enough to make her smile in relief. She pointed out every detail: the sleek cabinets, the farmhouse sink, the oversized wine fridge. Her voice was light, easy, but you could see the subtle glances she cast in your direction, checking on you without saying it aloud.
But then she froze mid-sentence, her fingers curling around the edge of the countertop. Her eyes widened slightly, darting toward something, or someone, over your shoulder.
“I’m so sorry,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
A wave of dread washed over you, the knot in your stomach tightening before you even turned around. You didn’t need to look to know who it was.
“Hi,” Joe said.
The single word was quiet, but it hit like a thunderclap. Slowly, you turned, your grip tightening on the beer bottle as you faced him.
He stood just a few feet away, his hands shoved into his pockets, his expression carefully guarded. For a moment, neither of you spoke. The hum of the party dulled to white noise, the edges of the room blurring until it felt like it was only the two of you.
“Hey,” you said finally, your voice clipped but trembling with the hurt you couldn’t hide.
He hesitated, his jaw tightening. “I didn’t think you’d be here.”
“Yeah, well,” you replied, folding your arms across you like a shield. “I didn’t think you’d care.”
His shoulders stiffened, and for the faintest second, something flickered in his eyes — regret, maybe. Or guilt. He dragged a hand through his hair, the motion as familiar as it was frustrating. “I deserved that.”
“Yeah, you did.”
The words hung heavy between you, the air thick with everything unsaid. His gaze dropped to the floor, his voice softer now. “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“Funny,” you bit out, your voice shaking despite your best effort. “Because from where I’m standing, that’s exactly what you did.”
“I was scared,” he admitted, his voice cracking as the words escaped. “Scared of ruining everything. Of losing you.”
Your breath hitched, a knot twisting painfully in your chest. Heat surged behind your eyes, anger and sorrow colliding like waves in a storm.
“Well, congratulations,” you said, the words trembling as they left your lips. “You managed to do it anyway.”
The words struck him like a blow. For a moment, he just stood there, shoulders sagging under the weight of your anger and his own guilt.
You turned to leave, but before you could take more than a step, Joe’s hand closed around your arm, not harsh, but enough to stop you in your tracks.
“Wait,” he said, his voice sharper now, tinged with frustration.
You froze, slowly turning back to him. His face was taut, his jaw clenched, and his eyes — those stupid, stupid eyes, were filled with something you couldn’t quite name. Guilt? Embarrassment? Anger? Maybe all three.
“Let me explain,” he muttered, his grip loosening but not releasing. “Just… Can you stop and listen for once?”
A bitter laugh escaped you, sharp and cutting. “Stop and listen?” you repeated, your voice low, laced with disbelief. “That’s rich coming from you, Joe.”
His face reddened slightly, and for a moment, you saw something like shame cross his features before it was replaced with exasperation. “I’m trying, okay?” he snapped. “Can you just give me a second?”
“A second?!” You wrenched your arm free, your voice low but razor-sharp. “Joe, I gave you months. I gave you every second I had trying to be the friend you clearly didn’t want. And this—” you gestured between you, the tension spilling over. “This is what I get in return?”
His frustration bubbled over. “Fine. Maybe I messed up,” he muttered, his voice tight. “But can you just stop acting like—”
“Like what?” you interrupted, stepping closer, your voice a low hiss. “Like I don’t have a right to be upset? Like you don’t deserve every ounce of guilt you feel?”
For a moment, he just stared at you, his chest heaving, but you didn’t give him a chance to respond.
“You’re not half the man you think you are, Joe,” you whispered coldly. “And I’m done waiting for you to prove otherwise.”
You turned on your heel, setting the drink down and walking away without looking back. You heard him curse under his breath, low and frustrated, but you didn’t stop. You couldn’t. Not anymore.
Tumblr media
When you left, the party carried on around Joe, but he barely noticed.
The laughter grated against his ears, hollow and distant, like static in a bad signal. The drink in his hand had long since gone flat, and each sip tasted like ash.
He lingered near the edge of the room, his gaze skimming the crowd half-heartedly, but his mind was miles away.
He’d never seen you that angry before. Never been the target of your wrath. Your voice, usually warm and steady, had cracked with an edge so sharp it cut through him like a blade.
It wasn’t just the anger in your eyes that haunted him. It was the hurt, raw and undeniable, that twisted the knife deeper.
He kept replaying the moment in his head, over and over. The way you’d stood there, unflinching, hurling the truth at him like stones.
Each one had hit its mark. Sharp. Deserved. Impossible to ignore.
And for the first time ever, Joe had no defense. No excuse. No shield to hide behind.
It wasn’t like he didn’t already know how much he’d screwed up, he’d been carrying that guilt for weeks. But hearing it from you, seeing it etched into every line of your face, watching your shoulders sag under the weight of his mistakes, it was unbearable.
And yet, even as you’d turned and walked away, he hadn’t moved. He’d stood there frozen, paralyzed by the very thing he wanted so desperately to fix.
By the time he got back home, the silence in his house was deafening. He dropped his keys on the counter, the metallic clang echoing in the empty space. Collapsing onto the edge of the couch, he leaned forward, elbows on his knees, staring blankly at the phone in his hands.
His thumb hovered over the screen, his breath shallow as he opened your contact. For what felt like the hundredth time, he started typing, rehearsing the words he’d been cycling through his mind all night.
Joe: Can we talk? Please.
His finger hesitated above the send button, doubt twisting in his gut.
What if you didn’t respond? Or worse, what if you did, and it was already too late? The thought clenched around him like a vice.
Before he could stop himself, he pressed send, his heart lurching as the message flew out into the void.
Seconds stretched into agonizing hours in his mind as he waited, the silence amplifying every fear. When his phone buzzed in his hand, his heart jumped, his pulse racing as he read your reply.
You: When?
The single word sent a wave of cautious hope through him, sharp and overwhelming. Without hesitation, he typed back, his fingers moving faster than his thoughts.
Joe: Tonight. Please. I’ll come to you.
As soon as he hit send, his breath hitched. He stared at the screen, nerves twisting into knots as he braced himself for your reply.
When it finally came, two simple letters that carried the weight of the world, his grip on the phone tightened.
You: Ok.
Joe exhaled sharply, the tension in his chest loosening just enough to let him breathe. It wasn’t much, but it was everything.
Fragile. Fleeting. A chance to make things right, and he couldn’t screw it up.
He pushed off the couch, pacing around his living room, his mind racing.
What could he say to fix this?
How could he even begin to mend the cracks he’d caused in something so precious?
Every possible scenario played out in his head, each one ending the same way — your hurt eyes staring back at him, colder than he’d ever thought possible.
Stopping mid-step, he dragged a hand over his face, frustration clawing through him.
He hated himself for every misstep, for every silence that pushed you further away. Now, he wasn’t sure words could ever be enough. But he had to try. He owed you that much.
The drive to your apartment had been a blur of glowing streetlights and the persistent drumbeat of his own heartbeat. The radio drummed through the air, but it was nothing more than static to his ears, drowned out by the endless thoughts in his head.
When he pulled up outside your building, he stayed in the car for a moment, gripping the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles ached.
From where he sat, he could see the faint glow of your window, and the sight made his hands sweat
With a deep breath, he grabbed his phone and typed a message, his fingers trembling with a mix of nerves and desperation.
Joe: I’m here.
The three dots appeared almost instantly, his breath catching as he waited. When your reply came, his heart skipped a beat.
You: Door’s unlocked.
The burden in him grew heavier with every step toward your door, and when he stepped inside, the air felt thick, charged with the tension of everything left unsaid.
The scent of your apartment hit him first. Warm, familiar, and grounding in a way that only twisted the knot in his stomach tighter.
His eyes found you immediately. You were sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the dark TV screen, your posture rigid and guarded.
The soft glow from the lamp next to you highlighted your face, but it didn’t hide the exhaustion in your eyes or the way your lips pressed into a thin line.
You didn’t move. You didn’t speak. But your expression said more than words ever could.
It was an unspoken challenge, a demand for answers he wasn’t sure he could give.
Joe swallowed hard, every carefully rehearsed words evaporating in the silence. His voice caught before he finally spoke, “Thanks… for letting me come.”
The words felt insignificant, but they were all he could manage.
Your head snapped over to him, jaw tightened, your eyes narrowing just enough for him to see the storm brewing behind them. “You said you wanted to talk,” you said finally, your tone sharp and clipped. “So talk.”
Joe’s throat tightened, and for a moment, he couldn’t move. The tension in the room was suffocating, and every ounce of hurt in your voice twisted something deep inside him. He took a hesitant step forward, his voice trembling slightly when he spoke.
“I should’ve handled this better,” he said, his voice low, almost pleading. “I shouldn’t have pushed you away. I shouldn’t have ignored you. You didn’t deserve that.”
The words stumbled out, weighed down by the guilt pressing deep into him. “I got in my own head, and I let it get the better of me. I thought… I thought that keeping my distance would make it easier, but all I did was hurt you. And I hate myself for it.”
You blinked, your jaw tightening as the meaning behind his words settled over you, heavy and unclear. Keeping his distance? Easier for who? Why?
The questions swirled silently in your mind, but, before you could think better of it, you stood abruptly, the motion sharp and filled with tension, your arms folding tightly across your chest.
“You were scared,” you referred back to earlier, bitterness creeping into your tone. “And what about me, Joe? Do you think this was easy for me? Do you think walking away didn’t hurt like hell?”
He flinched, your words hitting him like a slap. He had no rebuttal, no defense.
Because you were right.
He’d been selfish, so consumed by his own fear that he hadn’t stopped to think about what it was costing you.
“I know I don’t deserve another chance,” he said, his voice thick with emotion. “But I need you to know that I care about you. More than anything. And I’m sorry I didn’t show you that when it mattered.”
The tremor in his voice made you pause. Your arms dropped slightly, and you exhaled a shaky breath. “Joe,” you started, softer this time, but the hurt in your eyes was still there, unmoving. “I just… I don’t know if I can keep doing this. I don’t know if I can keep waiting for you to figure out what you want.”
“I know,” he said quickly, the words rushing out like a plea. “I know I screwed up. But please—” He stepped closer, his voice breaking. “Please let me fix this. Let me prove to you that I can be better.”
You didn’t respond right away, and the silence was deafening. But when you finally met his gaze, he saw the war in your eyes, the part of you that wanted to protect yourself battling with the part that still wanted to believe him.
For the first time, he realized just how much he’d put at risk. If he lost you now, he knew he wouldn’t recover.
Your lips parted, and he braced himself, every muscle in his body taut as if preparing for a blow. “This… this is your last chance. Don’t waste it.”
The weight of your words hit him like a tsunami. Brutal. Final. But in the wreckage, there was a sliver of hope, fragile and flickering, and he clung to it with everything he had left.
“I won’t,” he promised, his voice steady in a way that felt almost foreign after weeks of chaos. “I won’t waste it.”
You nodded, but the gesture was stark, emotionless. There was no smile, no warmth. Only quiet resolve, sharp-edged and cutting. “You better not,” you said softly, the faintest quiver in your tone betraying the exhaustion beneath your anger. “Because I don’t think I can do this again.”
You turned sharply, your movement punctuating your words like a final period. But just as you began to step away, his voice broke through the tension, low and deliberate. “Me either, sweetheart.”
The word stopped you cold.
Your breath hitched, the sound catching in your throat like a snare. Sweetheart. He’d never called you that before, and hearing it now felt like a quiet declaration, unspoken but heavy with meaning.
It was unfamiliar on his lips, but it wrapped around you like a hesitant embrace; soft, tentative, undeniable.
Slowly, you drew in a deep, measured breath, letting the weight of his words settle in your brain, rippling outward in waves you couldn’t yet name.
When you finally exhaled, it was as though a fraction of the tension released with it. Quietly, you moved back to the couch, sinking into the corner as if it might anchor you.
The tension in the room lingered, a silent witness to everything left unsaid, but it no longer suffocated you.
Behind you, his footsteps were soft, hesitating for the briefest moment before coming closer. When he sat beside you, the space between you felt impossibly vast, a canyon carved by weeks of silence and hurt.
You risked a glance at him, your heart thrumming in your chest. His eyes stayed fixed on the floor, his fingers clasped tightly as if bracing for a blow.
But his presence was steady, quiet, grounding in a way that sent a flicker of warmth through the cold ache in your chest.
You hated how much you’d missed it. Hated how some small, fragile part of you still leaned into that warmth, despite everything.
And for the first time in what felt like forever, something unfamiliar flickered in your chest. It wasn’t relief, not yet.
But it was softer than anger. Warmer than indifference.
A fragile ember that stirred in the quiet, daring you to believe that maybe, just maybe, this wasn’t the end.

therapuss!
summary: justin agrees to be on his girlfriend’s best friend’s podcast
word count: 1.1k
Tumblr media
When Jake suggested having Justin on his podcast Therapuss, Y/N honestly thought her boyfriend would politely decline. To her surprise, he was all for it. She’d always thought they had a cute older brother-younger brother dynamic, and she couldn’t wait for the world to see a new side of him.
But when the time came to film the episode, Justin was a bundle of nerves, frantically searching for the right outfit. He didn’t want to be overdressed, but definitely didn’t want to show up looking underdressed either. Y/N couldn’t help but smile as he ran in and out of his closet, holding up different options every few minutes. She’d tell him he looked fine in whatever he was wearing, but Justin was never satisfied, always finding something wrong.
After about twenty minutes of this, he threw in the towel and begged Y/N to choose for him. She giggled, planted a quick kiss on his lips, and headed to the closet. She picked out a dark green Nike sweatshirt, khaki shorts, and a black Nike hat.
“This was one of the first things I tried on,” Justin said, grabbing the outfit from her.
“It looked fine—just like half the stuff you tried on,” she said, flopping back on the bed. Justin plopped down beside her, looking like he was about to explode with nerves. He started talking about how anxious he was for the podcast. He knew Jake wouldn’t ask anything invasive, but he still worried he might say or do something that would rub people the wrong way.
Y/N reassured him that he had nothing to worry about—it was just a conversation, like any other. He smiled and pressed a quick kiss to her lips before putting on the outfit she had picked out for him.
“Hi Pussies, and welcome back to Therapuss! Today, I’m so excited to have the only NFL player I know, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert!” Jake introduced as everyone in the studio clapped. Justin waved at the camera with his signature dorky smile. “Okay, Justin, before we get to know you, I wanna know—what are you therapissed about today?”
“Therapissed?” Justin repeated, trying to think of something that had frustrated him. “I’ve got one. It takes a lot to upset me, but my biggest pet peeve is when people leave their shopping carts anywhere but the cart return. Y/N and I went to the store today, and the parking lot was packed. We thought we’d found the perfect spot, but as I pulled into it—boom!—there’s a cart right in the way.” Jake giggled as Justin continued. “The worst part? The cart return was right across from the spot.”
Jake nodded, chuckling. “I think I’ve only seen you truly upset once, and I’ve known you for about a year.”
“Yeah, I’m pretty chill, but when it comes to my family, I can lose it. Like, commentators can say whatever they want about me—I really don’t care. The NFL is tough, and it’s not easy. But when Y/N and I started dating, it felt like everyone’s focus was on her, and it was just frustrating.”
Jake smirked. “I actually wanted to talk to you about that. You’ve got this ‘I’m just a chill guy’ vibe, so it’s funny to see you get those little bursts of frustration—especially in games or in the media. Like, remember that game in Vegas this year? Y/N brought me, and we were sitting above the field, and I still heard you shout, ‘What are you waiting for?’ That was scary.”
“Yeah, well, that’s football for you,” Justin shrugged, trying to act casual. “I’m nothing like that off the field.”
The conversation flowed easily from there. Jake asked about Justin’s growing up in Eugene, his time at the University of Oregon, and how he’d probably have been a doctor if football hadn’t worked out. Y/N was excited to see her boyfriend open up, especially with the cameras rolling.
“I remember how obsessive Y/N was about you when you first started dating,” Jake laughed, glancing at Y/N, who buried her face in her hands. “When you became a TCL partner, she’d see those TV boxes everywhere, and it was her mission to take a picture with every single one.”
“I’m so lucky to have her,” Justin said, grinning.
“Okay, I’m gonna throw up,” Jake joked, putting his hand over his heart.
“Every time I look at her, I just wonder how every person who’s had the chance to meet her hasn’t fallen for her, even just a little bit.”
Justin smiled at Y/N, who returned his look. She knew how much he loved her. He showed it in every way he could, but it never stopped making her heart skip a beat.
“You two are the worst,” Jake sighed, shaking his head. “I genuinely hate you two so much.”
“Jake, we’ve had this conversation before,” Justin teased. “I’m totally ready to put you on one of those dating shows. Love Island would be perfect for you.”
The podcast wrapped up about 20 minutes later, and Jake and Justin filmed a few promotional videos and took some photos for social media before everyone headed out for lunch. The vibe was light and easy—lunch was more like a hangout than anything else. The podcast crew was small, and they were all good friends of Y/N and Jake, so it felt more like a family gathering than a work event.
Once it was time to go home, Y/N and Justin dropped Jake off at his place. The entire drive there, the trio sang along to their favorite songs,as if they were on an episode of Carpool Karaoke.
“Thanks so much, Mom and Dad!” Jake teased as he got out of the car. He gave Justin their signature handshake, the one that Y/N still had no idea when or how they’d come up with it, but she loved every time they did it. “Justin, thanks for coming on the pod. I can’t wait for it to come out!”
Y/N laughed, watching them. “You two are ridiculous.”
Jake turned to her with a grin. “And thank you for letting me ‘borrow your boyfriend’ for an hour,” he said, throwing her a wink.
“Anytime,” she replied with a teasing smile.
Once Jake was out of the car and waving goodbye, Y/N and Justin headed home. The whole way, Y/N couldn’t wipe the smile off her face. “Thanks for doing that,” she said, glancing over at Justin.
“Of course. I’d take any chance to talk about you for an hour,” he replied with a grin, his fingers intertwining with hers as he kissed the back of her hand. She squeezed his hand, smiling even more. “You’re such a dork”
“I mean it,” Justin said, his tone sincere. “You’re my favorite topic.”
Y/N's heart fluttered, and she leaned her head on his shoulder as they drove, feeling completely at peace

The Great Shift: Awkward Tales - Vignette 2: Athletics Run in the Family
Tumblr media
“Hey dad! Ready for that workout? I think this football jersey is getting a bit tight. Might need a new one later.” Kyle boomed as he bounded across the hall. The sound loud enough to cause his dad, Bill to jump!
“Oh uh… yeah sure Kyle. Maybe we skip the workout today. We could go shopping and get you new clothes.” Bill offered, gulping as he walked over to his towering son.
“Haha! Very funny dad. I know how you always said that every workout skipped, is a day wasted. I finally get it now! I just beat my PR for bench presses last week! Pretty sure I could do it again this week too if we keep at it! Now let’s go!” Kyle smiled and carried his dad to the car.
Bill sighed. Kyle wasn’t wrong. Before the great shift Bill was a retired amateur athlete. He never could quite go pro, but his passion for working out and fitness was always there. It was something he tried to inspire in his son Kyle, but it never took. Kyle was always more artsy. More sensitive. Less in the physical space and more in the mental. Bill didn’t even care that his son was interested in men, only that he tried some kind of athletic activity. Even as he was making his way through college Bill held on to hope that Kyle would find some athletic spark in his son. Something for them to bond over, but it never came… despite how many times he tried to force sports on to Kyle.
It turns out he should’ve been careful what he wished for. After the great shift, Kyle had landed into the body of a professional athlete, Dallas Turner. Now his one shrimpy son was a 6’5, 250lb titan of athleticism.  Suddenly, Kyle finally understood what his dad was talking about. Running around, lifting weights, hell even playing football. Kyle was in love! The consistent amount of fitness planning that Kyle had done in the 1 year since the great shift was more than he’d ever done in his entire life! And the results had shown! Kyle had gained over 10lbs of muscle since he’d got that body!
Tumblr media
NFL scouts had even come around and asked him if he’d consider joining the league after he finished college! After all, a majority of former athletes were now in much smaller bodies that couldn’t play anymore. Kyle was considered a top prospect!
Meanwhile Bill was experiencing the opposite end. Where as Kyle had gotten huge from the shift, Bill was on the smaller end. Previously Bill was a proud 6’3, and now as a modest 5’0 he was seeing the world from a whole new perspective. Not only had he gotten significantly younger, now around the same age as his son, but he was not blessed with the same athletic disposition. Somehow most of his body was much smaller everywhere, but he maintained a bit of pudge around the belly, almost like a reminder of the beer belly he had once before. Only now smooth with no hair.
Needless to say, it was clear that Bill’s new body was not built for physical activity. That didn’t stop Kyle from dragging his dad to every possible gym that was open post shift. Kyle loved testing the limits of his new strength. At first, Bill liked it too. Helping Kyle reach his physical potential is what he’d been waiting for ever since he had a son. However, the longer they worked out, the more tired Bill became. Not only from the actual exercise, but also from discovering his new sexuality at the gym with all the hot guys in the area.
Bill had gone from a sternly athletic father, to a nervous gay nerd quite quickly. His behavior became more shy and reserved. He began to understand more and more why Kyle liked things like music, art, and games compared to football. Most importantly he even understood why Kyle could never focus around his athletic peers. Every time Bill and Kyle went to the gym, Bill would get distracted after a new hunk began their workout! Kyle was too, but more so happy to show off his incredible new bod!
These thoughts raced through Bill’s mind as Kyle drove them to the gym! Bill could only hope that his secret crush was there. The handsome bearded bodybuilder was a large Arab man who was some sort of janitor in his previous life. Now this guy was second only to Kyle in the gym the more he worked out and showed of his manly body. Bill had already rubbed one out in the gym locker room thinking of him.
Tumblr media
By the time they arrived Kyle got to working out as Bill went to refill their water bottles. Then as he joined the gym floor he was stunned to see Kyle talking to the big bearded gym crush!
“Hey dad! This is Amir! I said he could workout with us. It’ll be nice lifting with another huge guy who could keep up with my lifts. Maybe if I play my cards right with him I could invite him over for dinner.” Kyle gave his dad a confident wink.
“W-what?! I mean. Are you sure? You just met him and-” Bill sputtered as the large man came over and shook his hand. The young father was mortified. The guy he’d been obsessed with at the gym. Here? Now!? Talking to Kyle!?
Amir didn’t seem very interested talking to Bill. His banter was mostly with Kyle as they worked out. The two of them matching their routines and flexing at one another. Bill was practically seething with jealousy as Kyle and Amir tossed their sweaty workout towels at him. They were so lost in their workout and getting to know one another they'd completely forgotten about Bill.
“Hey it’s pretty nice of you to bring your little brother to workout.” Amir smiled as he spotted Kyle.
“Oh that’s my dad. He taught me everything I know about working out.” Kyle corrected, as Bill blushed.
“That so? I’ll have to thank him, because he sure made a handsome son. I hope he won’t mind seeing more of me. Especially if I’m gonna be seeing more of you.” Amir arched an eyebrow and smirked.
Bill’s hands were over his face. His son was gonna start dating his gym crush. It couldn’t get more awkward than this!

FOOTBALL GAME
parings: daniel ricciardo x kelce!reader
author note: it's official, I'm entering my NFL era... taylor swift, what have you done?!?! 😭
summary: the one where you're the younger sister of the kelces and you go to a travis game and end up meeting daniel ricciardo.
✩. . . masterlist !
Tumblr media
Y/N is the Kelce siblings' little sister, the protected one, adored by her entire family. Her three older brothers loved to tease her whenever they could. Nonetheless, Y/N loved being the youngest, except for the overly protective nature of her brothers. Shawn, Jason, and Travis delighted in intimidating any guy who came near their sister, and this had been the story of her life. The fact that Jason and Travis were professional football players didn't help either. Despite it all, she knew her brothers just wanted her to stay safe and find the right person. And that happened in the most unlikely way.
Y/N was at the Chiefs game, just like any other game, or so she thought. She had chosen to stay in the stands; Y/N wasn't in the mood to be in the player's family area today, especially after the appearances of her supposed new sister-in-law, Taylor. The fans had become obsessed with recording and looking for the singer-songwriter there. Today, Y/N wanted a peaceful afternoon. She had never been fond of being in the spotlight and was grateful that her brothers were the stars, not her.
As Y/N settled into her seat, she couldn't help but relish the anonymity she usually enjoyed in the stands. She liked to be just another face in the crowd, free from the constant attention that came with being a Kelce. But little did she know that this particular game was about to take an unexpected turn.
The energy in the stadium was electrifying, and as the game progressed, Y/N found herself getting more and more engrossed in the action. The Chiefs were playing exceptionally well, and the crowd's excitement was contagious. Amidst the cheers and chants, she almost forgot about her desire for a quiet day.
That's when it happened. Y/N was caught up in the moment, jumping to her feet as the Chiefs scored a touchdown. As she celebrated, an unfortunate collision occurred. Out of nowhere, a cup of beer was knocked from someone's hand, drenching her from head to toe. She gasped in surprise and shock, realizing her white Chiefs jersey was now soaked.
Furious and stunned, she turned to see who was responsible for this mess, and her eyes met a face she couldn't believe – it was none other than the famous Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, who was attending the game because of his Formula 1 race in Texas.
Y/N's frustration boiled over, and she shouted, "Are you kidding me? You just ruined my jersey!" Her irritation was palpable, and the entire section fell silent as all eyes turned to her and the unsuspecting Daniel Ricciardo.
As crowd silence hung in the air, Y/N could feel her face heating up with embarrassment and anger. She had no idea who this man was, only that he was the one who had turned her game day experience into a mess. But what she didn't know was that Daniel Ricciardo was not only a Formula 1 superstar but also known for his charm and charisma.
Daniel, caught off guard by her fiery reaction, was momentarily stunned. He glanced at the drenched jersey and then back at Y/N, a sheepish grin forming on his face. "Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry," he stammered. "I was just so caught up in the game, and I... I didn't mean to do that."
Y/N couldn't help but notice that, despite the situation, Daniel had an irresistible smile. It was clear that he was genuinely apologetic, and she couldn't stay mad at him for long. Still, she didn't know who he was, and her irritation was evident in her response. "Well, an apology won't dry my jersey, will it?"
At that moment, Max Verstappen, who was seated next to Daniel, couldn't contain his laughter any longer. He burst into fits of giggles, watching the entire interaction. "Mate, you've really done it this time!" Max said between laughs.
Y/N, despite herself, found Max's laughter contagious and couldn't help but chuckle along. "I can't believe you've got your friend here laughing at your blunder," she teased Daniel, a hint of amusement in her voice.
Daniel, red-faced and still grinning, extended his hand toward her. "I'm Daniel, by the way, and I promise I'll make it up to you somehow."
Y/N accepted the hand with a half-smile. "Y/N, nice to meet you. Just don't spill anything else on me."
Max chimed in, still amused. "Well, I think you've made quite the impression, Daniel.”
Max's playful comment only added to the amusement of the moment. As Y/N and Daniel continued to converse, they discovered an unexpected chemistry between them. His initial mistake had broken the ice, and they found themselves discussing everything from their favorite sports to their shared love for adventure.
As the game progressed, Y/N's initial irritation had turned into a delightful afternoon spent in the company of a charming stranger. She had completely forgotten about her drenched jersey and the chaotic start to their interaction.
As the final whistle blew, the Chiefs emerged victorious, and the crowd erupted in cheers. Daniel leaned closer to Y/N, and with a grin, he said, "You know, I've had an eventful day, and it's all thanks to you. Can I get your number? Maybe I can make it up to you with dinner or something?"
Y/N was taken aback for a moment, not expecting such a bold move. But his sincerity and the connection they had formed throughout the game were hard to ignore. She couldn't help but smile and replied, "Sure, why not? I think I'd like to see what other trouble you can get me into."

I honestly don’t post about any sports all that often. But this Super Bowl compelled me to write this.
Now, right out the gate I will tell you I am a KC Chiefs fan. I was born one. I am a third-generation fan, going back to my grandpa who picked them at 19 when they were a godawful team and barely televised through my mom’s childhood, because only the good teams were televised then — so if they could watch them, it was to watch them get POUNDED.
I got to watch them win a Super Bowl after a 50 year drought. It was an exhilarating feeling, especially since I was constantly picked on at school by a classmate because of my team (he would go out of his way to harass me whenever his team — Ravens, btw — beat the Chiefs. And he was blissfully quiet the whole day after).
I got to see them win another one two years ago, in the affectionately nicknamed Kelce Bowl because of the Kelce brothers playing against each other. That was a fun year.
And another one after that.
Am I all that cut up about them losing this year?
No. I am not. Because I know it’s just a game. The dudebros need to chill out fr.
But I also know that this year…it wasn’t quite just a game, either. There’s other forces at play.
I honestly had no idea that some of the major Chiefs players supported trump until today. Just before I started writing this, in fact. I didn’t know trump wanted them to win either.
There was a bad taste in my mouth when I found that out.
I don’t consider myself to be a fanatic fan. But I am a proud fan. Someone once called me a bandwagon and I got offended.
But. But.
I am not a fan of this. Of the support and cozying up to of fascism, racism, queerphobia, you name it. It boggles my mind too because there are Black players on the Chiefs, there are Black players who CARRY the NFL’s legacy on their backs, and to support the trump administration is to take away their support.
You know what I am a fan of?
The political message of Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show.
I have never listened to any of Kendrick’s discography. I’ve never really been all that into hip hop or rap (my whiteness is showing I know).
Honestly, while I was watching, a lot of what was going on flew over my head. And I also had a hard time hearing the lyrics 🫣 again, not used to this genre of music 😅
But that’s what I thank tumblr for. Tumblr always has a way of bringing the unknown into the spotlight, and expanding my own knowledge on it.
I am very much not knowledgeable on the Black history surrounding Kendrick’s performance. But looking back, with a fresh set of eyes, what I do know and have put in effort to learn starts to be clear.
And I think it was genius. I think Kendrick Lamar’s performance is what saved this Super Bowl for me because I am vastly disappointed in my team right now, and still would have been even if they won.
I do not begrudge the Eagles their win. After all, this was a rematch 😜 Only fair you have your time to shine.
But in all seriousness, I think I prefer a loss to a win simply because I would not be able to enjoy that win knowing what I do now.
Besides. if it comes with the bonus of trump’s night being ruined? having to live with spending TAXPAYER MONEY (my money!!) to go and watch the game only to leave halfway through because Kendrick called him out? good. I can handle the sidelong taunts about the Chiefs and their bad decisions. I am mature enough to see that.
I am mature enough to see that an Eagles win, packed with Kendrick Lamar ripping the right a new one, is a win for us all — Chiefs fans included.
The next four years will be tough. But with such a spectacular performance? The trans flag? The Palestine and Sudan flag? Everything?
I think we have what we need to keep fighting. Kendrick, Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga, all of these artists lending their voices to support those who will be grievously impacted by what comes next is so important, especially at events like the Grammies and the Super Bowl. It shows that people care.
It shows that we can always care.
It’s just a game, yeah. But now it’s so much more.

Game day surprise
Pairing: joe burrow x reader
Word count: 1339
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today was the day, the day your husband took the field for the first time since November of last season. The first game of the regular season was here The Bengals versus the Tennessee Titans. Preseason went by in a blur, Joe didn’t play preseason due to fear of reinjuring his wrist. Joe wasn’t happy with the decision, but he supported his coach's choice.
Joe woke up at 7:30 that morning, he knew he had to get to paycor early enough to do his pregame ritual. He tried his best not to wake you but as soon as he got out of bed the empty feeling woke you.
“Joe come back to bed.” you spoke softly.
“I can’t, baby. I need to go to the stadium.” he mourned. He wanted nothing more than to stay in bed with his wife. The temptation to go back to bed was strong but he knew that he needed to complete his ritual. He took steps towards You and placed a quick peck on your nose, your nose crinkled as you let out a small laugh. You then pull your husband into a quick goodbye kiss.
“Please let me know when you get to Paycor I don’t want to worry about you.”
“I’ll send you a text. I love you, see you later.”
“I love you too, now go” you said.
He pulled you in for one more kiss and started to leave, when you thought about telling him about the positive pregnancy test.
“Joe.”
He turned around after hearing his name.
“Yeah?”
“I’m-” upon further thought you decided this wasn’t the time. “Nothing good luck today.”
Joe looked at you concerned, “Are you sure it's nothing?”
“Yes, now go!” you said with a smile.
“You can tell me everything, I don’t believe it's nothing.”
“I promise you it's nothing Joe, I love you.”
You knew Joe would be happy with the news you have been trying to get pregnant since the twins turned two.
After Joe left you couldn’t fall back asleep instead opting to clean the house a little bit. True to his word Joe texted you around 8:15 letting You know he made it to the stadium safely. At around 8:30 you decided to get yourself ready. You rummaged through your closet looking for something to wear. You were already starting to show a tiny bit so finding something that wouldn’t show your tiny baby bump was hard. Finally you found an orange dress that wasn’t tight fitting. You finished getting ready by putting your hair up in a ponytail. Walking downstairs you see the front door open, you quickly turn around and go back up the stairs.
“Good morning”
You knew the voice right away. It was Robin. You let out a sigh upon hearing her voice. Joe gave Robin a key to the house for when she watches Logan and Leo. But you didn’t expect her to be here right now. You walked down the stairs to greet your mother in law.
“You scared me! I didn’t know you were coming over today.”
“Joe called me, he said you were acting weird. He is worried about you”
You checked your watch and saw the time, it was honestly an attempt to avoid telling her why you were acting weird.
“Oh won’t you look at the time, I have to go get Logan and Leo ready.”
“What's going on? You are acting strange.” she expressed, concern was clear on her face.
“It’s nothing.” you brushed off trying to walk away.
Then it hit her, call it mothers intuition. A smile grew on her face at noticing a certain glow she'd only seen on you once before.
“You're pregnant aren't you?” It was more of a statement than a question.
Your face paled as sadness covered your features.
“Surprise” You said softly, you wanted Joe to be the first one that knew.
Upon seeing your face Robin became worried.
“Why are you sad?”
“I’m not, I just haven’t told Joe yet. I mean the last time I was pregnant I went into Labor during the biggest game of his NFL career. It distracted him, he had a chance to win the superbowl. But Logan and Leo distracted him, I distracted him.”
“You think he cares about losing that game?” she looks at you, all you can do in response is nod. “He couldn’t care less because even though they lost the game, it was the day you welcomed your two beautiful boys into this world. He loves you and them more than this sport. You guys have been trying to get pregnant for a while now. He called me after every negative test. He wouldn’t admit it but I could tell he was sad. You need to tell him, he is going to be so happy.”
You offer Robin a small smile knowing she's right. The boys run down the stairs and jump on Robin.
“GRANDMA!” they both yell as they see her, she smiles and gives them both hugs.
“Alright you two let's get you ready so we can go see daddy play.” You ushered the kids back up the stairs.
“I’ll tell him tonight.”
You followed the boys up the stairs.
They both wore their burrow jersey’s and blue Jean shorts. As soon as they were ready they ran downstairs.
“Oh won’t you look at you two!” Robin said, standing up from the couch. “Hey, why don’t we take my car. Jim and I will take them tonight so you and Joe can talk.” She smiled at you.
“Are you sure?” You questioned.
“Of course”
“Thank you!” You give her a hug.
“How far along are you?” She pulled away from the hug with a questioning look on her face.
“5, maybe 6 weeks.”
“You’ve kept this from him for this long?”
“I mean my husband is a very hard man to sit down and have a full blown conversation with right now. Plus I only just found out for sure, I met with my OB yesterday.”
“Yeah Joes been on the go recently.”
“I promise he’ll know today.”
She smiles as you two walk with the twins to robin's car. Each of you buckled in one of them before getting in yourself.
The car ride was silent, the only noise was the music on the radio playing quietly.
Once you arrive at paycor you get out of the car and grab your boys. Walking into paycor you see Joe about to head to the locker room. Security let you in instantly without checking your id knowing who you were. Joe noticed you and ran up to you.
“Why are you guys here so early?” He asked then gave you a kiss.
“We wanted to see you practice today.”
“I’m so glad you're here baby! I was worried about you this morning.” He said giving you a tight hug, that’s when he felt the bump. He pulled away and gave you a questioning look similar to the one Robin gave you earlier. “Are you? Are we?” He couldn’t contain his happiness.
“Pregnant? Yes, I’m sorry I kept it from you, I just wanted to make sure.” He smiled and picked you up and spun you around.
“I can’t believe it.” He beamed and gave you another kiss.
“Now go get ready, I love you.”
“I love you too!”
Logan and Leo see their dad and run to hug his leg.
“Good luck daddy!”
“Thanks boys! Luckily my lucky charms are here.” He said picking up Leo and giving him a hug before doing the same with Logan.
“Okay guys let’s let dad go get ready!”
The frown on the faces of the two little kids was enough to make you cry.
“Mommy don’t cry.”
“I’m okay boys, let head to the box”
Making your way back to Robin you all made your way to the box. Safe to say that was one of the best games Joe has ever played after finding out the news.

cellular sentiment| ceedee lamb
in which you and ceedee have been friends for a while but you only talk on the phone but he surprises you after his game.
Tumblr media
you jolted awake as you felt the vibrations on your face.
“huh?” you say eyes still shut.
“damn what took you so long to answer i called you thirty eleven times.” the voice on the other side made you smile.
“hush cedarian, i was sleep.” you mumble turning over eyes still closed.
“thats all you do is sleep.” he says and you roll your eyes- or try to at least.
“what do you want man, why you call me this late?” you ask trying to sound annoyed.
he just laughs, “its 6 oclock in the evening almost 7, aint shit late about it, and i thought you said you was gone watch our game today just lies.” he says teasingly.
“hush yall ass. probably lost anyways, you know you sorry.” you laugh.
“shii, i dont know who you talking to but im far from sorry.” he sasses back. you cant help but laugh. “nah, but forreal though i was just trying to see what you had planned tonight.”
you finally open your eyes and the light from him dimly illuminates your face and he glances down.
“you so beautiful.” he smiles and you blush immediately dropping the phone.
“oh my God please stop.”
“im forreal- you know i always tell you that.”he says and you roll your eyes blushing even harder.
“thank you but anyways im not finna do nothing hell i may get up and cook but then its right back in bed for me- i got work tomorrow. i already got my gown on and everything.”
“which one? better be the one i got you.” he says.
“and is, what should i cook? steak and potatoes or shrimp fried rice?” you ask getting up and going to the kitchen.
it felt good, natural even. it had become a little routine that you both felt comfortable in. he would call youd answer, yall would chat about anything-everything under the sun and inevitably your fall asleep on him but he would never hang up.
how you managed to become friends was purely some twisted sort of luck if you could even call it that. after your mom passed he was the one that got her number and when the messages started sending in blue instead of green you werent quick to notice, so when you had a particularly shitty day and texted her number
‘mama, i wish you were here. i need you now more than ever.’
and received a message reading
‘im sorry but i think you have the wrong number. it will be okay though’
you almost broke down. luckily he was nice enough and allowed you to vent and the rest was history. a friendship blossomed even though it was only cellular.
“if you dont prop me up so i can see.” he griped.
“omg youre so needy.” you sigh propping him-the phone- up.
he laughs, “whatever hmmm i think shrimp.”
“hmmm i think not.” you say grabbing the steak.
“bro what the hell, why you even ask then.” he says smacking his lips.
“cause i can.” you say and you just know he’s rolling his eyes.
“if you say so, but ima hit you back, this my momma calling me.”
“ok be safe.”
“i will, talk to you later.” and the phone clicks.
you hum as you begin to season the two sirloins, quickly reaching over to turn on the stove.
its crazy how life works. your just a history teacher at a small high school in your area and one of your best friends is the biggest player in your state.
“who would have thought”you mumble to yourself thinking ahout when you finally realized who he was.
one of your students had worn a jersey with his last name on it and you found it a bit peculiar, so you texted him.
‘u have a cousin or something in the nfl? one of these my kids got on a jersey w yo last name’
‘😂is u being fr rn’
‘wym?’
‘omg you is lmaooooooo 😭😩 go ask him who jersey he got on’
‘wtf js tell me’
and he left you on read
you put your phone down and huffed.
“hey garret, who’s jersey do you have on?”
“ceedee lamb, excuse my language miss but he cold as hell.” and as soon as the name came out of his mouth your stomach dropped.
“o-oh ok. it-its nice.” you barely stammer out before picking up your phone.
‘YOU PLAY FUCKIN FOOTBALL WTF’
‘😭😭😭😭😂’
‘omfggg ts crazyyyy& u aint tell nb shi’
needless to say he got an earful that night when you two did finally get on the phone.
you flip the steaks over on the cast iron skillet allowing it to sear then place the potatoes on a baking sheet and toss them in the oven.
you grab your phone and go to see where cee is, but you notice his location is off.
‘where tf u at & why that damn lo off?’
he immediately reads it but you see no text bubble.
‘wowwww read ight bet.’
then you throw down your phone and almost instantly its a light knock on your door.
confusion washes over you as you furrow your brows together.
“who is it ?” you call getting on your tip toes to see out of the peephole but its just dark.
you sigh and unlock the door opening it only enough to peek out and low and behold its cedarian with a big goofy smile on his face and a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
this is ch1 of a fic im gonna be posting on wattpad lmk what yall think. i love ceedee he is so cute omf i just have all the feels.

Surprises | Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)
Summary: Y/N ends up surprising Josh at one of his games, which leads to Josh knowing that he has to play his best to impress his woman.
Pairing/Fandom: Josh Allen x Wife! Reader (NFL)
Requested: Yes/No @thedoveesquire
Warning(s): none that I am aware of! Also the game is going to be a buffalo home game for the plot so!
*Not edited*
Tumblr media
Y/N's heart ached at the way her husband had left their house upset. Her husband was the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, and they were playing the Miami Dolphins today. She had told her husband that she would not be able to make the game, because when she woke up, she had every intention of going to her friend's birthday party. That was until her best friend texted the group chat last minute saying she was sick and rescheduling her birthday celebration.
It wasn't that Y/N was putting her friend before her husband, it was the fact that the celebration was planned before the NFL couple knew Josh's NFL schedule this season. Now that her plans were cancelled, she was planning on surprising her husband at his game. She knew that he got anxiety before all of his games, no matter how many times he stated it was not anxiety. She was guaranteed a season pass in the VIP box, seeing as she was married to the quarterback.
After getting herself ready, she left their house and headed towards the bills stadium. Her custom jersey that had been made for her was what she had chosen to wear. This would have been one of the first games that she had missed, she tried her best to make as many games a season as she could. Y/N usually made all the home games but struggled with away games sometimes.
Getting to the stadium was hectic with the traffic, seeing as many people were trying to find parking spots and there were people walking to make it into the stadium. Once a parking spot was found, Y/N slipped her VIP ticket around her neck and headed towards the stadium. Once inside the stadium she was quickly escorted to the Bills VIP box and left to herself with other significant others and parents there as well.
"Y/N! I'm so happy you're here, Josh said you weren't going to be able to make it." LaVonne Allen spoke as she noticed her daughter-in-law. Unlike most people, Y/N had a great relationship with Josh's family the same way that he was loved by hers.
Y/N quickly pulled Josh's mother into a quick hug before backing away, "Plans changed last minute." she explained to the woman before grabbing a bottle of water and going to sit down next to her in-laws.
"I'm sure Josh will be happy to have you here." Joel stated upon seeing his daughter-in-law wearing his son's jersey number.
"My plan was to surprise him." She spoke standing next to her added family.
It was only a matter of time before the stadium was filled and the two teams were announced on the field. The national anthem was sung, and the game was kicked off with the bills having the ball first.
The game started off a bit slow, seeing that the bills had turned over the ball in the first couple minutes and that the dolphins were in the Bills territory. It made Y/N anxious to see how the bills were playing and she knew her husband better than anyone. He wasn't focused on the game the way that he should have been.
After Miami had kicked a field goal and missed, the Bills had the ball back and was running it down the field. Once the second quarter came, the bills were at 1st and 10, with Miami using a timeout. While timeout was happening, the NFL tv cam turned to the VIP box to capture Y/N, since many fans know of her and Josh being married.
On the field, during timeout Stefon lightly hit Josh getting his attention. "I thought you said Y/N wasn't coming?" He asked.
"she isn't." Josh muttered before turning his attention back to the huddle.
"She's here, man." Stefon told him before pointing up to the Bills VIP box. Stefon waved at Y/N before turning back to the huddle.
Josh wore a grin on his face as he noticed his wife standing next to his parents, in the place she always was for home games. Eventually, he tore his gaze and got back to his team. "We got this, let's go out here and win!"
Stefon gave him a pat on the back with a smirk before it was time to resume the game. He made a mental note to thank Y/N later.
After Josh had noticed his wife at the game, it had taken a big turn. The bills kept getting touchdowns every time they had the ball and they had even stopped Miami from getting far.
At half, the bills were up 35-0, which was rare for Miami to not score anything. It was just proof of how amazing the bills were doing and how they had stopped the dolphins before they could get anywhere or they had thrown interceptions and given the bills the ball.
"Josh is doing great." Y/N spoke to her mother-in-law as she took a sip from her plastic cup.
"Because his good luck charm showed up." Mrs. Allen told her new daughter, making sure the younger girl knew that she was her son's good luck charm.
Y/N blushed at the comment before taking another sip of her drink to hide her red cheeks. Josh had told her multiple timed that she was his good luck charm, even before they tied the knot. It made her feel warm on the inside to know he thought that, but she knew it was all in his head.
"Mrs. Allen." A deep voice spoke coming up behind the two women. Both turned towards the man, "Josh is requesting to talk to you for a moment." the security guard spoke to the younger woman. Y/N placed her drink down on the table beside her before following the security guard out of the VIP box.
She figured that she would be going to the locker room, just because halftime would be over soon and they would be going back on the field. The security guard led her exactly where she felt she was going to go. Y/N thanked him before walking inside the room slowly.
"Can I just say that you are the best for coming here." Stefon spoke as he blocked Y/N path to her husband. "We would've lost over him sulking about you." he added.
Y/N let out a laugh, "I'm glad I could help." she joked before going around him. She knew Josh would probably be towards the back seeing as he liked to do his "pre-game ritual." Which she knew was his anxiety, but she lets him call it what he wants.
"Did you need me, Mr. Allen?" Y/N asked softly, getting Josh's attention so he'd look at her.
Josh grinned seeing his wife in her jersey, "I always need you." He replied pulling her into a hug. Y/N gave him a squeeze before leaning back a bit. "What happened to Y/F/N's birthday?"
Y/N shrugged, "She's sick, so I decided to surprise my husband."
Josh nodded, his hands running up and down her sides. "Definitely surprised." He muttered before leaning closer trying to steal a kiss, only to be met with her finger.
"You know I try not to be rude, but your so called 'pre-game ritual' is gross and you're going to have to brush your teeth before I kiss you." Y/N explained pulling her finger away.
"Already did." he stated in a 'matter of fact' manner. "I know you, baby, we've been together long enough for me to learn you."
Y/N rolled her eyes before placing her lips on his for a moment before pulling back. "I'm going to go find my place, I will see you after the game." she spoke softly before placing one more kiss on his lips and leaving the locker room. The boys were outside waiting for Josh by the time she was returning to her seat.
After the game started back up, it felt like it went by fast. The bills ended up winning 41-0 and all the Bills fans were happy for the home team. Everyone was trying to leave the stadium, or they were lined up outside trying to get someone to sign something or meet one of the players. Y/N had decided to wait for her husband to get done with post-conference and then travel home together.
"There's josh's wife!", "I wish I was her.", "How'd she get so lucky to marry Josh Allen?" conversations were going on around Y/n as she walked herself with a security guard towards the locker room. It was no secret that she got some hate every now and then. That's why Josh always made sure that she was escorted by someone at all timed. She made sure to wave at the ones who were taking pictures or giving her smiles.
She always treated Josh's fans and supporters kindly. There was no reason not too and she loved being able to make someone's day just because she knows Josh.
"Thank you!" Y/N told the guard kindly when she stopped outside the locker room. She knocked on the door before pushing it open and peeking her head in with her eyes covered. "You guys decent?"
a course of "Yeah's" was heard before she uncovered her eyes and slipped into the locker room. Most of the guys were shirtless from just taking a shower but had the rest of their clothes on.
"Congratulations, you guys!" she spoke loudly as she made her way further into the locker room. The coach never truly liked her being in there, but he never said anything to her. It wasn't a very common occurrence, only for certain days. The men thanked her before going back to what they were doing. Making her turn back to her mission to find her husband before his post conference. "There you are! How did Josh Allen manage to pull a 41-0?" Y/N asked as Josh slipped a fresh shirt over his head.
"My good luck charm was here, and I knew I had to impress her." He shrugged as he walked closer to her.
"You already have me for the rest of our lives," She replied as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "You don't have to impress me anymore."
"I do." He assured. "All because you agreed to marry me doesn't mean I'm going to stop dating you babe." He mumbled before placing a soft kiss on Y/N's head.
"I love you so much." Y/N whispered, playing with his damp hair from his shower.
"I love you more and that's a promise." He replied back pressing his lips to hers.

Author's Note: I hate the way I ended this, but I hope it was okay. I wish I could have written this a bit different, but it is what it is. I honestly love writing NFL request right now. There are so many guys that are worth writing for that I may have to update my list! My cousin has been bugging me to write for Aaron, but I am not sure about that yet.
