#what the supersim wants

I don't think I've said it in so many words recently, but I find the threat to... *deep breath* create a "perfect copy" of me (using server space you are paying for I guess) and torture it to be ridiculous, dumber and less threatening than literally a practitioner of voodoo threatening to stab their doll of me (because, if it worked as practicers think it does, that would actually hurt me).

Taken at face value, it's, "I paid to replicate you in Will Wright's Reality™ and now I'm going to torture my copy of you" which is even stupider than "i kidnapped a stranger and am going to torture them unless you do what I want". Like, why do I care more about your copy of me vs a copy of anyone else, or a real person that's a stranger? Or like, a pigeon you caught under a bridge? Also lols that sounds expensive, a plan to manipulate me that goes, "step one: dedicate a ton of time and resources getting enough information and computing power to replicate you" seems like a stupid plan.

But of course, since God Omega knows that I wouldn't fall for this nonsense (because I am posting this fact online) he won't bother pulling it on me.

By the way, you know it's a Lot cheaper to say you have some detailed simulation than to actually make one. And, like, what would even be the equivalent to a picture of the hostage holding today's paper for the SuperSim version of yourself?

And even if you find this particular hostage situation compelling... You know that precommiting to refusing to negotiate for hostages is the standard way to address an enemy that frequently takes hostages, right?

I want to play SuperSim challenge to explore the game to the max. But lately I started thinking that maybe it will be more fun and interesting to explore the game with different challenges 🤔

I started the Collector’s Challenge to complete all collections in game. But if I plan on playing SuperSim, my SuperSim will also complete all collections. At the same time I guess it will be hard to find different challenges that will make you explore everything. Maybe something like Lepacies though.

So I am wondering, what do you guys think. What is the best way to explore everything that this game has to offer?

TS4 All Aspirations Challenge

So, I made up a challenge on my own a couple years ago: All Aspirations (creative, I know)

I figured it's about time for me to share this, and I'm currently watching James Turner's SuperSim challenge and it's making me think of it

Speaking of SuperSim, I do wanna address the similarities: The SuperSim challenge consists of: all aspirations, all skills, all reward traits, max careers, etc My All Aspirations challenge only consists of completing all the aspirations; I will not go out of my way to max all skills or careers, unless the aspiration I'm on requires it

OKAY, so lets get into it!!

My challenge (AA for short) is simply what I said above: completing all of the aspirations. Specifically, all adult aspirations. I personally do not want to focus on children's or teen's aspirations, so I personally am not doing that

I have a Google Spreadsheet created that lists all of the aspirations, in the order that I want to complete them (I'll link it below). All of them are in the normal order that shows up in CAS, however Soulmate & all of family aspirations are the final ones, as I didn't want to marry or have children while focusing on the other aspirations

My spreadsheet also has a column for designated careers for each aspiration! Ex: Athlete aspirations = Athlete career, Culinary aspirations = Culinary career, Musical Genius aspiration = Entertainer, etc

I have two Sims for AA: one for normal aspirations, and one for the 10 occult aspirations. The idea here is that, when I reach the Soulmate aspiration, these two Sims will marry each other and have a family together for the family aspirations

In my current save, I have completed 2/54 aspirations for my normal Sim and 2/10 aspirations for my occult Sim My normal Sim is about to start raising horses, and my occult Sim is trying to become a Master Vampire!

Immortal

Status: Ongoing

Notes: A Imortal/Legacy/Supersim Challenge.

Synopsis: Tells the story of Mal, an immortal Sim from another world, as he tries to live his existence peacefully without breaking too many forth walls nor drag the absolute chaos that is his existence into it. No promises made. Forth walls shall break.

Currently on Gen 1 - Following the story of Arlo, Apollo and Syra. Arlo and Apollo have ruined the lives of many dragons while trying to find a cure for the rot. Syra has met a werewolf and feels drawn to him and wants to help him.

Merinn’s Palace 

Status: Complete

Synopsis: A bachelour challenge for the merdragon prince, Merinn, as they try to find a wife or husband to secure their throne.

Star of the Deep

Status: Indefinite Hiatus

Notes: Must read Merinn’s Palace first to understand the story.

Synopsis: What happens to Merinn, Hassan, Avantika and the Suitors, after the end of the bachelor.

A tale of two dragons

Status: Complete

Notes: After it read @izayoichan​’s story, as it tells the origin of Emil, the feral dragon Flynn took under his wing.

Synopsis: Tells the story of the dragon Elarin Millar and Tyvan, and the events that would lead Elarin into becoming the feral dragon known as Emil.

Black Sun

Status: Still on planning stage.

Notes: So far is only random drabbles, pics and lyrics posts. Has the same characters as gen 1 Imortal, but no connection.

Synopsis: Arlo was prosecuted by the Church of the Maker for having a third eye, grew up into a nihilistic and cinical necromancer living in the depths of the City Warrens. When his surrogate mother, Dala, comes seeking him, hoping he can resurrect her daughter who died at war, Arlo resurrects from her remains a beautiful silver haired dragon instead. Now, Dala, Arlo and the dragon he named Fannar, embark on a quest to find out the identity of Fannar and what happened to Dala’s daughter Syra, while trying to avoid the prosecution of the Church’s High Order, and the blade of his twin brother, their Holy Commander.

The Pale Drake

Status: Still in planning stages

Notes: Same as above. Random drabbles, worldbuilding and pics.

Synopsis: The Kingdom of Caerno is being plagued by two catastrophes. A plague known as the Rot, and an albino dragon atacking the people. Spymaster Killian Hastur finds himself amidst a crisis, while, in an attempt to cure the Rot, the dragon steals the only books which hold an answer for the terrifying desiese.

Took me longer then an hour but.... I got the new pack and updated my mods. So I might be posting some sims again. I got the urge again to play! So... I might just do it. Also I want to update the rules of rainbowsins and see how and what with the BACC’s. And I need to do a new layout for the supersim overview. But since they still feel a bit more as a chore then fun I’ll wait till I want to otherwise I might not wanna play again.

Hey!! Not at all! I just loved the name Maxiene so much for my girl that's why I used it. I have no issues with people having the same names as my Characters as I got them off the internet myself. And happy to see what your Maxine would get up to (Hopefully no jail time) lol

My supersim's daddy. I just wanted to make sure I could look back and remember what all his traits and stuff were. His role, beyond helping Chris to learn skills and stay healthy, is finding all the foods and learning to cook them. There's a ton of meals I think Chris should try before aging up, and most of them can only happen through Timothy.

Small PSA - Finished BWC

Hey friends, I just queued the last post of the Black Widow Challenge, because Kiki’s last husband died a mysterious tragic death. (Oh officer, I really don’t know what happened, I found him like this.) It will come up some time next week. However I’m not ready to leave this family alone yet. Gabriel and Jaime are still teenagers and Raven also still living at home. I want a nice happy ending for all these sims, so I will be working on that in an Epilogue. During this I will also make lookbooks for the people left and put them up to the gallery. Feel free to send me suggestions for partners for Kiara, Gabriel and Jaime. Not for Raven, since she’s aroace, but she could get cool roommate or something. Heck, if you feel like creating a partner/roomie for them, you are more than welcome. And another thing... I like this blog a lot and really feel like doing another challenge. I’m not sure one yet. I’m currently writing a challenge myself and have playtested some parts of them. Would people like to see that? Another option would be doing the “Rags to Riches” Challenge or the “Rainbow Challenge” or the “SuperSim Challenge” Any ideas? TL:DR: 1. Would you guys like an epilogue? Who should Kiara, Gabriel and Jaime end up with? 2. What Challenge would you guys recommend I’d do next?

Hi, it depends. I’m subscribed to a lot of simmers and usually watch what pops up in my home if I feel like it.

The only “series” I’ve been watching religiously and enjoyed a lot are GrayStillPlays “experiments”, CallMeKeving Jim Pickens series, James Turner supersim (and I’m watching the Bigwallet series while I’m exercising).

For news I always rely on Iron Seagull, for packs bb previews James Turner again, Sims logic by Onlyabidoang and reviews by LGR.

I randomly watch Plumbella, Deligracy, Pixelade, Lilsimsie, EnglishSimmer, LaurenzSide etc etc etc name a simmer and I’m probably subscribed and have watched at least one of their videos. :)

What are your planning to do after you finally complete the challenge? :0

Oof, good question! Honestly, I have no idea yet. I definitely want to tackle another challenge, for sure! I am not too well-versed in the types of challenges that are out there, though, so I’m not sure. I do want it to be a challenge that allows me to just play the game and take screenshots for you guys, while still being entertaining.

I do love writing stories (my legacy that has been on hiatus for forever, for example), but they take such massive amounts of work that I’d rather have a challenge I can just have fun with. I was thinking perhaps the Supersim challenge (I think that’s what it’s called?), but I don’t know!

If you guys have any suggestions of what you would like to see after the 100 Baby Challenge is over, let me know!

Yeehaw Lookbook Challenge by @leavemetoplaythesims

Rules: The rules are there are no rules, just make a lil lookbook with the sim of your choosing, but i do expect a lot of hats and boots ;). you can choose to go historic or more modern, it’s all up to you baby! and don’t forget to have fun!! that’s what’s the most important. literally just do whatever you want as long as you somehow stick to the theme yeehaw aka wild western/country and i’ll be very happy.

@simmeronnie tagged me (thank you!) and I finally got around to actually doing it, so here we are!

I just had Faith (my supersim) age up to teen in my game, so take this as a kind of intro to her and her two best friends, I guess? The brunette with the hat is Camryn and the one with the headband is their twin Nia.

I think I’m behind the times here and pretty much everyone has already done this right? If you haven’t then count this as your tag!

I forgot to say that I will be playing ISBI style (it’s when you control only one sim and all others are by themselves)

I will help other played sims when my SuperSim will be at school/work, sleeping or working on skills

Because otherwise all they will do is just sleep, eat and use PC (or watch TV)

No hate to people that wants farm packs, but I always was curious as why so many do. It seems that every sims community I go to, someone always want a farming pack.

Gonna be honest, if I am very neutral on wanting a pack like that myself. If it’s there I would get it and probably enjoy it, but it wouldn’t make or break the game for me either.

All I hope is that if it was to be made into a pack, that if it introduces farm animals like chickens or pigs, that it don’t have us actually kill the animals from meat. Due to the fact that I’m sure some people might be sensitive to that idea, maybe go in the way Harvest Moon or Story or Seasons do? Where it is very no-kill and if animal like pigs are introduced that maybe they are truffle finders instead of fatten for meat idk just thinking of ways it don’t stir away people who don’t wanna kill em. It would be a great way to reintroduce horses again, because everyone wants them back too.

It’s funny how I said I’m neutral on it, all while giving opinions on how to make it work. I am ‘meh’ about this though.

It just feels like so many are fixated with on farming for some reason. I got some ideas as well that I would love to see one day for however long we still have Sims 4.

Like the futuristic pack from S3 was fantastic, something similar would be great. It could include more variation with the current Servos like how the Plumbots were. Maybe ultramodern and steampunk-ish clothing, pre-made alien families (cause it ain’t none). Though I will admit I will be unsure of what new careers or skills could take place since University already introduced robots and engineering, so maybe it’s best as a game pack than expansion?

A superhero one, maybe it include another life state, idk SuperSim or something? And have that they learn powers by doing certain skills? Like super strength is athletic skill or heat powers is cooking skills? Or maybe they just already have basic ones and doing them more will introduce more like vampires? Introduce careers, hero and villain (I know criminal is a thing, but instead of it being a rabbit hole job it’s a active one where you just ruin everyone’s day?). Introduce some typical hero and villain outfits, you know the spandex and leotards. Maybe add in at least a standard sailor outfit or boy uniform (yknow the one with the turtle net and the buttons), for the anime fans cause of magical girls. Also some old school 60 suburban casual wear.

A unpopular choice for many, but a supernatural or fantasy like one? I know we already got Vampires and Realm of Magic, but honestly I think the occult stuff added so for need more ‘oomph’ you feel? The fairies, genies and werewolves could come back as well. In addition, being able to do create for ghost sims. Perhaps making PlantSims a permanent state too? I believe with all of those ideas together without a theme it would be all over the place since calling it supernatural might be strange since spellcasters (formerly witches) and vampires were already introduced with a lot of spooky themes in their packs, but if the fairies came from a EP with more updated features for PlantSims that was mystical theme it could work while the genies and werewolves could come back in a GP.

A pack focusing on the teens would be nice, the Parenthood pack was just a game pack so I can understand it not adding as much as Generations did in S3. But, the teens need some more to differentiate themselves than adult than just moodswings and phases to make the state more worthwhile. Such as bringing proms back, throw crazy parties, separate school clubs like drama club or scouting from part times jobs so they can do both.

Mal: Mwhahahahah! -burst into laughter- Perfect! I love how kids can’t say “please”, but if you say a curse word they’ll repeat it like they’re an oxford simlish graduate. -clapping-
