Ooh, I love that subject. But, unfortunately, we only have crumbs of it and that's extremely frustrating.

It's actually hilarious how people accuse the Darkling of being an evil ruler while the only evidence we have of his rule as King is him holding court and signing paperwork.

It's a duty that he took seriously and showed responsibility instead of laziness (*cough Alexander *cough*).

But I must say that he found himself in an extremely difficult situation. He was very unlucky because he had little money and the war was still ongoing.

What's more, he found resistance from Nikolai whenever the former tried to bring food to his army:

It's laughable how people go: "The Darkling was an incompetent king" when we have him being sabotaged by everyone.

- The royal vaults insufficient to cover the expenses of the war.

- The supplies for his army being cut off by Nikolai's forces.

- No navy.

- No allies.

The man didn't have a chance.
