I also got suckered into your Moon deity Sans. Is there anything else to note with his design (besides the grey cloak)? I don't know if his look used to be different and/or much more intricate before his current fate. I'm curious to know. Thank you if you are able to answer this.

Hm…. I think in the past he’d look more intricate yeah, more jewelry to match the other gods, lots more moon symbolism. And there’d be more depictions of the full moon than a crescent moon… robe instead of a cloak, that had star sparkles near the bottom… also he didn’t have 4 arms. (also @llamagoddessofficial was the one with the idea of new moon sans having 4 arms :D)

Both in the past and the future, he has eyelights that match the phase he (the moon) is in like so:

Particularly for new, he has eyelights with a pupil in the middle, ones you can’t see when his eyelights have shrunk

Edit: also eyelights often snuff in new moon

(also that’s roughly what his brooch/pin holding cloak looks like but more shiny and metallic)

He wears a cloak now (ofc) that reaches to the floor, a pin to hold it. Two of his upper arms have long wide sleeves and his extra arms (when he has them) are hidden under his cloak most of the time. Silky fabric texture? Doesn’t look at *vibrant* as back in the day too

Also these aren’t 100% set in (moon)stone so if you or someone thought of a cool different design I’d be happy to see :D

i turn 24 today. To celebrate, I made this comic to be a spiritual successor to lead balloon, a comic in which I talked about the darkest period of my life so far.

A lot has changed since my 23rd birthday and this one. My priorities have shifted a lot, in ways that I think are mostly good. But i think the best part about today is that suicide has gone back to being a far away notion. I'm really lucky, and I'm grateful for that.
