-So Steve was the first to approach the humans because he's actually the most comfortable with human culture on Earth. I'd imagine that he'd sneak off in his down time to observe them on Earth. And now, he's actually relieved to interact with them more freely. He genuinely fascinated at the differences between

-Skarmory is still scared of Hanji. Which is understandable. They've talked about wanting to dissect him for parts. He's already felt iffy about humans, and while some of them might be tolerable, like Levi, Hanji he tries his best to avoid.

-They do their best to avoid Eren in titan form because they are genuinely intimidated by him but refuse to admit it because of pride. They don't want to show weakness. That wasn't allowed.

-Every time Steve and Skarmory have a negative reaction to an order disobeyed or anything like that, the Survey Corps really start thinking the worst about Megatron. A lot of that fear they have of him turns to hate. Because their reactions to failing a mission or anything like that implies a lot of horrible things about Megatron's leadership.

-Steve slowly starts feeling comfortable being in the same space as Optimus. Skarmory does not.

-The 104th do their best to include both vehicons in activities. They are definitely used to help practice with the 3D gear.

-Steve and Skarmory have tried multiple times to go to the mainland to talk to Shockcircuit and Stormwatch but have been repeatedly stopped because it would literally expose everything.

-Skarmory has a favorite human. It is Levi. Steve just thinks all the humans are fun.

"Thanks again for helping us out today," Armin had told the vehicon as he stretched his arms.

"It was quite productive, and better than listening to the others moping around trying to figure out plans to convince Megatron to restart the Decepticons," Steven explained before he stopped stretching. He twiddled his digits a little bit, looking quite nervous for someone who didn't have a face, "I hope...that what I've told you doesn't...unsettle you."

"Of course it does!" Sasha yelled, "It's so messed up on so many levels!"

"But it-!"

"If you say 'it's fine' one more time, Eren is gonna hit you!" Jean pointed at the titan shifter.

"I will! I'm taller than you!" Eren agreed.

"By the Allspark! Why are you humans so aggressive?!" Steve took a step back.

"They're aggressive because they care," Hanji declared as they made themselves known with Levi by their side, "And I personally wanted to apologize for my behavior."

"That's not necessary," Steve insisted.

"I labeled you as a Decepticon and thought that you would be more useful as parts, instead of recognizing that you and so many people that look like you are victims of a war that went on for too long," Hanji continued, "As someone who's main goal is to survey, discover, and understand the unknown, the fact that I've demonized you is unacceptable and I do apologize."

Hanji raised their hands in a form of surrender. "So I will ease off and be more formal. However, if you do break our little treaty, I will steal your T-Cog in the night."

"I find those parameters acceptable," Steve said, "But...why are you being so nice to me? All of you. I don't understand."

"Because you deserve better than this," Armin declared, "You deserve better."

Hanji held out their hand to Steve, and the vehicon was stunned before slowly offering his claw to the Commander. They shook on their agreement, and Steve was quite touched to see the 104th waving goodbye to him. He transformed into his alt mode and drove towards the neutral ship. He was actually quite excited to talk to his comrades about his day.

Levi turned his attention to the 104th. "I can't believe that his name is actually Steve."

"It's better than the coding shit!" Eren declared.

(Steve deserves some love and some respect.)

Uh...Allegiance Timeline. When Stormwatch and Shockcircuit abandon Steve and Skarmory to help out Marley in killing Megatron and Optimus, specifically Megatron. For more context: Part 2: The Defection

"What's...going on with Steve and Skarmory?" Hanji couldn't help but as Optimus as the two vehicons were in a state of panic.

"I have not been able to ask," Optimus answered, “I was alerted to how panicked they were when Skarmory was searching the neutral ship.”

“I see.” Hanji thought over before approaching them.

“Commander-,”

“Prime, I got it.” Hanji waved off as she approached. She saw Skarmory shaking Steve’s shoulders in clear panic. “Hey guys. Is everything okay?”

“Does it look like we’re okay?!” Skarmory yelled as he let Steve go.

“Whoa.” Hanji raised her hands and took a step back, “I didn’t mean to be offensive. I’ve been concerned. Did something happen?”

“Our brothers are missing!” Skarmory yelled, “They weren’t on the neutral ship! We searched the island for their life signals! We tried contacting them, but the line’s been disconnected! We don’t know where they are!”

“Oh…” Hanji trailed off as she looked back at Optimus, the Prime looking equally concerned at this new information.

“This is all my fault,” Steve mumbled as he sat down and hugged his knees close to his chest, “I kept on pushing when they didn’t want to. Maybe we should’ve never come to this planet in the first place.”

“Hey Steve, don’t blame yourself,” Hanji told him.

“Steve, Skarmory,” Optimus spoke, earning the attention of everyone, “We will do everything in our power to find your brothers.”

“I’m sure Buckethead will be able to find them!” Hanji exclaimed, “They were still trying to convince Megatron to restart the Decepticons! Maybe they’re with him!”

“I doubt that,” Skarmory declared, “Megatron’s been adamant. They tried for months to convince him at this point and there’s been no result.”

“Well.” Hanji turned to Optimus, “Call Megatron.”

Optimus followed Hanji’s instruction and activated his comm. link. “Megatron, two of the Vehicons are missing.”

“I know,” Megatron declared, “I know where their location is.”

Optimus didn’t like the tone in Megatron’s voice. “Where?”

Megatron could only stare at the Marleyan newspaper detailing the arrival of two beings from beyond the stars. “They’ve defected to Marley’s side.”
