Hes heard that having a full stomach while being tired already will help, I mean it happens to everyone when they've been tired and just ate a warm meal. Though it's already late and it'll take some time to make food, it's better trying now than later, and even a few hours of sleep is better than nothing.

જ⁀➴ ♡ Usually by this time you'll feel some affect being done to you and yet when attempting to sleep again, it doesn't work. Annoyance grew and he can tell by looking at your dissatisfied face, he reassured you that you will get some rest by the end of tonight.

Tom was not just a random guy that Z could hook up with. He was the lead of a billion+ $ franchise that she joined as his endgame love interest. And it was Zs first role for a theatrically released movie. I think she would have been extremely careful to avoid hooking up with him if she was not sure about his feelings. Z and the people around her have said for years that she's an overthinker to the point of giving herself anxiety and in all her years in the industry she has not been known to sleep around. She told us that she accidentally friendzoned him giving him mixed signals so she was the one that had to finally take the initiative and ask him straight up. But when was this conversation? We do have Jacob and Haz conveniently abandoning Tom with Z and Deja to go rafting on Zs next to last day in Atlanta. And we do have that Starbucks video where it seems Deja was pushing Z to make a move. It's plausible that this was the day when Tom and Z had their conversation about their feelings, but they left everything in the air with Zs departure.

The other big clue we have are their likely anniversary celebrations at the end of September. That would imply that they decided to get together in NYC after they reunited to finish the shoot. I can see them texting and facetiming while she was gone and making the decision to try due to those conversations, just like it seems they decided to get back together through conversations they had while he was shooting Uncharted (thanks Tati for letting us know that)

“I… I just don’t understand.”

Zack glanced up from his PHS, sunny eyes blinking curiously, having been sitting on the couch beside his best friend when the enigmatic question was posed.

“Whatcha talking about, pal?”

There seemed to be something weighing down Sephiroth’s gaze as he closed the computer in his lap, silver bangs wilting over his troubled expression. “It… it just confuses me sometimes,” he explained quietly. “It confuses me tremendously. That’s all.”

“Yeah… you’re gonna have to be a liitttle more specific than that.” Zack’s countenance had sobered a little as he sat up against the arm of the sofa, sapphires growing soft with concern. “What confuses you, bud?”

Sephiroth waited a few beats before responding.

“This,” he said after a moment, gesturing with his hands around the room, emerald eyes lifting from the carpet as they drifted toward him instead. “This is what confuses me.”

“…What? My decor?” Zack blinked innocently, casting a quick glance around the paintings and knickknacks adorning the den. “I mean… I guess you could help me redecorat—“

“No, no. Not that.” Sephiroth gently shook his head. “I mean… this.” He edited his gesture so that it was signaling toward Zack and himself, velvet voice having grown soft and vulnerable in such a small swath of time, and the feline pupils carved into his irises appeared much more like glistening black orbs as he met Zack steady in the eyes.

“I mean… Us. Our camaraderie. Our friendship.”

Zack’s heart sank a few feet as he processed Seph’s delicate concern. “What about our friendship?” he blinked again. “What’s going on, bud?“

“…Nothing.” Sephiroth let his eyes float back toward the closed laptop. “It’s… it’s just. You invited me here to spend time you—to bond—and here I am, having brought my office work with me, and… and you haven’t said a single thing about it. You always tolerate me, no matter—“

“Whoah, whoah, whoah!” Zack’s voice had taken on a slightly offended tone. “I do not tolerate you, Seph. Take that back!”

For a moment, Sephiroth was stunned into silence, completely taken aback by the sudden vehemence in his friend’s voice. Even slightly cut by its blade.

And Zack’s heart immediately twisted into knots as he realized how harsh that had just came out.

Well… and for another reason.

“Hey…” Zack put down his PHS, scooting closer to his best friend. “Bud. You don’t actually think I ‘tolerate’ you… do you?”

For another meter of beats, Sephiroth was subdued into silence. Why… why was Zack trying to deny this? Wasn’t it objective? Wasn’t he always difficult to be around, a stone-cold wall of neutrality ant professionalism? That’s at least what he’d been hearing circulating around the base for years.

“Well… of course I do. You allow me to do—“

“No no no no no no.” Zack was gripping his shoulders now. “Stop with them stupid words. I don’t ‘allow’ you to do anything. I don’t tolerate shit. You know what I do, pal? I love you…” He squeezed the warrior’s unarmored shoulders, squeezing out all those hurtful and serrated thoughts. “I love every second I’m with you. I enjoy it. If I didn’t want you by my side, would I have tried with all might to become your friend…?”

Sephiroth’s mouth had fallen ajar, unsure of what to say, green eyes aching yet touched, words and emotions hovering in the small bout of silence between them.

He could only find the strength to muster one thing and one thing alone.

“…Really?”

“Of course, really…” Zack squeezed his shoulders tighter, visage melting into a quiet smile. “You’re my best friend, pal. I love you. And I love every second we’re together, whether you’re working or not! Heck…” Zack’s lips curled into a playful smirk. “You wouldn’t be the Seph I know and love if you weren’t always working your socks off.”

Sephiroth couldn’t fight his own smirk from budding at that. “Heh…” he said, knots in his soul slowly being kneaded by warm and loving hands, the truth wrapping around him like a cozy and gentle cocoon. Perhaps… perhaps he really wasn’t the burden he thought himself to be. Perhaps he could be someone whose presence was enjoyable, someone who was wanted…

Someone who was loved unconditionally, thoroughly, for everything he was.

“Therrre it is. I see that smirk!” Zack chirped, knowing his point had gotten through his friend’s stubborn head. “Can’t hide that from me.”

Sephiroth shook his bangs so that they veiled his expression. “Incorrect.

“Yeah, right!” Zack voice grew mischievous as he swiped the silver strands away. “There it is!”

“Heh. Stop it..” Sephiroth chuckled quietly as he turned away.

“Nuh-uh! Where are you goinnnn—oof!”

And in the endeavor to reaaaaachhh forward, he accidentally fell flat on top of his friend, taking him down with him in an inadvertent and Zackish belly flop.

“Get… off of me.” Sephiroth couldn’t stop the chuckles anymore, a beautiful and rich song.

“…Nah. I’m good.”

“Zack.”

“Seph!”

“Zackary.”

“Don’t call me that!”

“Fine. First Class SOLDIER Zack Fair: remove yourself from your commanding officer at once.”

“Fine, fine, fine.” Zack was still laughing as he peeled himself off of his friend, watching Sephiroth straighten back against the sofa pillows, the man shaking his head in amusement and disbelief.

“I.. I do not understand how I deal with you.”

“Yeah?” Zack smirked. “But you love me anyway, don’t ya?”

His chest still rippling with quiet laughter, Sephiroth waited a moment to respond, gazing at his friend with a playfulness and fondness that would never not seem too ethereal to believe.

“Of course.”

i think if "anti versus proship" was framed as "pro-censorship or anti-censorship" it never would have gotten as far as it did. framing the argument as whether or not you believe fiction affects reality is almost dishonest. its infinitely more nuanced than fiction either does or doesnt affect reality.

i could probably rant about where fiction *does* affect reality, and where it really doesnt, or more importantly where reality affects fiction, which is far more the case anyway. and theres an infinite amount of aspects to the debate to take into consideration anyway.

"fiction affects reality" "censorship is bad" "depiction vs glorification" "condoning something irl or only in fiction" theres so much theres literally so much and i think everyone should unpack where exactly they stand on everything. theres no way to boil down THAT MANY peoples opinions on such a broad topic to Two Terms, anti versus proship. i dont think either side even generally agrees on what those mean, sarah zs video on it is wonderful honestly.

like you can agree fiction affects reality but also agree that censorship is BAD. i dont know. it just really gets me when people put "proship dni" in their bio bc i literally do not know what that could mean. all it does is worry me that whoever that person is they arent going to have a civil conversation with me about fanfiction and other media, i have met way way too many antis who will get a *hint* that you disagree and instantly start dehumanizing you and painting you as this irredeemable monster.

I can't tell if she's into you as more than a friend. If your feelings are mutual, then is there something stopping you from trying having a relationship? Sometimes relationships don't last but you can still learn a lot through the process. Hell, some friendships don't last and that's fairly normal. And a good relationship is based on friendship.

If she isn't into you though, you need to get past your feelings. It's not a great friendship if you're perpetually hurting yourself over what you can't have, and it's also not fair for her to put her friend-energy into someone who really wants something else. If this is the case, dial down your friend time together and put a huge effort into finding a girlfriend who can refocus your romantic feelings on. There are 8 billion people in the world, so that means there's more than 50 million lesbians - many lesbians are great, some of them will be happy be your girlfriend.

Now, it also sounds like you need more friendly people in your life, so don't hyperfocus on one person to meet all your social needs. It's healthy to have friendships of various intimacy levels, so work on making that happen. My observation among Gen Zs is a return to larger IRL social circles, which is a shift from the more individualistic Millenials, and I think it's healthy. Maybe we, as a society, needed a period to adjust to vast online marketplace of human engagement to remember that fewer, deeper, more consistent relationships are more meaningful than 10000 online account interactions.

One thing to remember is that everybody plays the fool sometimes. It happens to all of us, and strong feelings are just part of learning about love. You're not alone in this experience by any means.

also i'm not even near being an expert, but iirc in china (and asia in general) you don't like... shrug over your dead parents and hop onto your new ones? parents, and ancestors in general, are important (does anyone remember that little guy, something something -yao was his name i think). even if a-yuan is a kid, his fellow wens would make sure he knew and remembered his parents. back then, he was freshly traumatized, but as he grew older, they'd tell him stories and make sure he remembers their names and honors them. hell, even wwx perks up when it turns out someone knew his mother, and only calls jfm "uncle jiang", the "older family friend/friendly man" uncle version.

as to why no one really talks about wy's parents -- i mean. they're clearly dead, and the wen remnants as a whole went through an incredibly traumatic time, so i suppose they're not exactly keen on reminding a-yuan that he has parents, because then he's going to ask where they went and when they're coming back, and what do you say to that? it doesn't mean that wy just, got over it all and started looking for replacement fathers in every single conventionally attractive young man he had on hand.

He likes reading to you in the evenings, and takes great pleasure in helping you fall asleep, in this way— He doesn’t mind in the slightest having you snuggle up against him to catch some Zs. In fact, he may be prone to falling asleep himself, curled up against you…

You definitely didn’t expect to be gushed over and dubbed ‘Michi’s incredibly cute almost-human—‘ That was the last thing on the list of your expectations, yet somehow, you found yourself with a rather large group of self proclaimed ‘bodyguards’. At least, you wouldn’t have to worry about any creatures from the far shore snatching you up…

Somehow or another, you have convinced everyone that you’re engaged, and are just shy about admitting it— Even those that you’re incredibly close to, keep hinting at wanting invitations to the wedding, which completely puzzles you. After a certain point, you introduced each other to new faces, the responses you received changed to — You’re not married yet?’ or ‘Congratulations!!!’

TAKEMIKAZUCHI AND JEALOUSY (…)

He’s not the type to get jealous easily, as you’re both pretty clear about your relationship with each other— In fact, you can count the number of times you’ve seen him jealous on a single hand.

When he is jealous, however, you can tell almost immediately— He squeezes your hand a bit tighter and seems far more tense. His confident and easygoing demeanour shifts into one of cold indifference towards the others around the two of you. He’s not outright rude to others, which you greatly appreciate, but it’s easy to tell that he doesn’t want to be there—

Fortunately, he’s easily consoled, a gentle and reassuring squeeze of his hand, and a smile solely for him, and he’s perfectly relaxed once more—

He may or may not be a bit more affectionate than usual, after getting jealous, which you find incredibly cute and rather funny. He’s not at all the type to be insecure about things, but sometimes when he sees you close with others like that, he feels oddly left out—

Takemikazuchi’s way of saying he was jealous is by stating ‘I misjudged.’ It’s a phrase you’ve heard only a few times from him, and one that always leaves you fairly flustered… It’s not often that he lets down his pride enough to say something like that, and that he does so for you, leaves an incredibly warm feeling in your chest…
