Almost all of BrandoSando's books straddle the line between the two genres, and after seeing @approximateknowledge's post here, I wondered how they would lay out on that chart. I was also inspired by this fascinating WOB about Skyward's genre. These are just my opinions, so let me know if you agree or what you think you'd change!

#i'm aware they're not all on here these are only the books I've read #and fyi whole series are represented by their first book #i'm quite pleased with my font choices #brandon sanderson #cosmere #cfsbf #stormlight archive #the stormlight archive #mistborn #elantris #skyward #cytoverse #i'm not tagging them all lol #i think its actually a fascinating question:#what makes a story *narratively* sf/f vs *aesthetically* sf/f #personally I chose to base the aesthetic scale on characteristics of the world/story; or 'genre trappings' as brandon puts it #technology level prevalence of magic etc #but the narrative more on themes plot structures and tropes; 'plot archetypes'#my friend and I actually went back and forth on frugal wizard's placement a lot; its a very nice blend #i've read legion but i don't think it fits on this chart at all so i didn't include it lol #i originally had elantris much further left but put it where i had stormlight #i changed it bc i think it represents that quadrant well #but honestly I could swap them back

#my art #pokemon #galarian ponyta #digital art #hiiii everyone hello please look at my darling angel Amalthea. shes my partner pokemon in pokednd <3 #most of our pokemon went missing so Mia (my character) took our remaining pokemon to get their pictures taken in case they go missing #i did in fact draw all three of them. am going to work on doing digital versions of the other two #its all of our partner pokemons :3 ponyta. impidimp. and mankey <3 #the sketches i did for the other two are so fun i cant wait to draw them #impidimp's made my cousins all laugh so hard they almost cried #this session was so fun and we also talked afterwards about pokemon we may want on our teams in the future #and honestly my potential line up for Mia feels so good #her next pokemon she gets is very possibly going to be a bewear. absolutely out of left field choice but it works so beautifully #im also thinking good options for her would be breloom. grumpig. wyrdeer. maybe mimikyu.#grumpig and breloom are honestly the top of the list. they suit her so beautifully #wyrdeer is also really good. mimikyu would be up to roleplay #mimikyu and bewear would both play into her animal handling skill #mimikyu would also end up disguised as a sylveon #probably play that as mimikyu wanting to fit in with Mia's team since she's really nice to it and it wants her to be its trainer #bewear on the other hand would 1. work well aesthetically for her and 2. would be fantastic roleplay material what with it being a giant #aggro bear and mia is just this gentle giant who is so fucking good with pokemon so its like well.#the nice girl wants me to be nice so i wont kill you because i like her. she gives me snacks and pets me and treats me well

I've been lost for a long time because I enrolled for university, and life now feels as if it's on hold since I don't know how my days will be when I start it. Sometimes I'll think too much about other people and how they are managing their lives and how I'm so late in comparison to them; I used to be better in letting these thoughts go away, I guess I'm just very anxious and not managing it properly; I also think a lot about the future and how we are all walking to the non existence and I think that for now there's no mindset that can soothe my soul. 2023 is full of new scenarios in my life, I've always been afraid of change, even tho I've gone through so many changes in life, but I never paid much attention to these transitions, because they weren't violent ones. Life is unpredictable; Change is in every corner waiting, and she never has the same face or touch, maybe I should start to look at her as a friend that is always somewhere else living adventures, and once in a while will show up and bring new winds, good or bad, I never know; but as a friend, I should go through these situations and help her, until she's ready to leave to her adventures again, and I'll wait.
