Okay so yesterday I discovered the hidden text under the welcome home audio files and got upset that I wasted so much time listening and transcribing them. But today! While I was writing out the Howdy & Sally script I copy and pasted from the site, I was using MY transcription of the audio, and guess what!? THE HIDDEN TEXT ISNT ACCURATE!! Let me make it clear I’m not mad, that it isn’t exact, I’m excited because that means the transcriptions I’ve already made of the audio are accurate to what was said! And not a huge waste of time! Wooooooooooo. My transcripts will still go much faster tho since MOST of the hidden text is right and written but still! VALIDATIONNNNNNNNNN

warlock wizard Wally scribbles... Thinkings! oh and a bonus bard-ish Barnabys in the corner for flavor

outfit ramblings:

first of all that is a Terrible rendition of what Home looks like in my head. i just needed to fill empty space </3

the staff was the toughest part honestly. bc it Had to be paintbrush-themed, but then halfway through scribbling i was like "oh shit. there are only so many ways to draw a paintbrush-wizard-staff and Weevmo already hit it out of the park." so if you're seeing similarities! you're right! i tried to make it as different as i could! there is Inspiration from their marvelous design, however accidental or subconscious! Apologies!

he gets a pointed hood instead of a hat because a) it looks great on him! and b) it has less of a chance of messing up his hair! also c) it helps muddle the difference between Wizard and Warlock. typically hoods have evil/duplicitous connotation - blur the lines! i want his long gloves and forearm wraps to have the same vibe. his neckerchief is a big help in hiding Home's seal!

his layered (loosely apple-themed) capelet (which the hood is attached to) has a nice high collar & hides the details of his loose shirt - eye embroidery! and some flowers on the shoulders but yk, mostly eyes. on one side of the shirt buttons has open eyes, the other side they're closed! there's also one big eye on his back!

his belt buckle is two halves of an apple! he wears tall thigh-high boots w/ low heels to feel Taller! he has a book-holster hooked to the back of his belt, which holds his grimoire! and he has a lil thigh-bag that has been magicked to be Bottomless and warps size! he can fit pretty much anything in there! canvases! paint! apples!

his half-skirt thing (idk what the word for it is!) is really plush, like a quilt - his capelet is the same fabric. soft, cozy. sometimes he'll use the skirt thing as a blanket in a pinch, or as a picnic placemat!

is his outfit a little Complicated? is it annoying to replicate? yes and yes. but im a maximalist at heart and Nothing But The Best for the blorbo <3 layers my beloved <3

I'm a bit late in talking about the update!

But!

Oh this is so interesting!!

Firstly, the effect of it all was so good! I feel like the previous update had everyone SO confused and then this one drops and it just CLICKS.

So the WHRP.. the Question-Answerer. They finally decided to try and talk to Wally! And they don't even care about explaining it or hiding it! They no longer care if We know. They might even know we know!

Anyways, they knocked on his door, gave him a call and BOY did he answer! Not only did he answer, but he sorta showed off!!

Some of them he did simply, such as writing Hello! And moving Barnaby!

But then he does this

And he even says "I didn't write it, I did something else"

The "Not only can I do this, but I can do more!" He is thinking creatively!

Wally is putting in the extra effort. Really not being subtle. He is so LOUD, basically screaming "Yes, this is me! I am here! I am the one doing this! Talk to me!"

But the instruction that makes me think the most is the SALLY one

I thought it meant to just flip the image! From left to right!

But! Wally has somehow conjured up an entirely NEW image! When you think about it, someone on the team drew or restored that image of Sally. Most likely, there was not a backside at all! Why would there need to be an illustration of that! Wally somehow made it happen! Very very interesting!

And then there is this, a little bonus, a little extra

Wally and Home. Sitting nicely together in the same... House?

I think most of us already think that there is a connection between the two of them. A deep connection.

Personally, I see the concept of Home as more of a general idea. Your Home, your upbringing, your family, your life! And what are you without these things? They made you who you are! If you were to separate yourself from the idea of Home, would you even know who you are?

And then there is the Eye. And it is under the same House. Wondering if this is saying "This and This are the same" "Wally and Home are both the Eyes" which feels like the more obvious statement.

But for me I see another connection. A Third. And it's You. The collective You. We are the audience, We are the Watchers and We have a connection to Wally through his eyes.

That connection is different and separated from the one between Wally and Home, but it is there! Under the same roof!

Ooh I honestly am so excited to see the WHRP's response to all of this! They have been answered! And so very obviously too!

Anyways! As usual, I pop in with my little thoughts! Clown and his team are always full of delightful surprises! I hope they get some well deserved rest and good treats!

I found these pages by accident as I was testing the url of "awayfromprayingeyes" website of welcomehome. And aperantly there is a curtain thing I could search for as it tells me "type to search..."

I've tried every logical and obvious words like (wally, red, home, us, you, neighbour, pea on a plate and so on...)

You could try for yourself to find the words and if you did, please tag me! I'd love to know what the word or sentence is

From what I can gather, it seems as if someone is reading to Julie about the story of Alice in Wonderland. Please reblog with your theories, and hopefully decipher the first few words being said/sung in the audio, as well as if you have more experience in tinkering with noise reduction.

Hey! You know that grainy photo on the staff-only page on the Welcome Home website? You know,

This one?

I was extremely curious to see what the note read, and after an hour of playing around with the light settings and squinting real hard to try and see words that might or might not be there, I have written what I was able to understand!

Everything with "----" are words I am missing, simply because I could not understand them.
