DID YOU KNOW... Charlotteā€™s own Hattie "Chatty Hatty" Leeper, the first Black female DJ in the city, started as a young radio intern in 1951.
After graduating high school, she officially became a DJ with WGIV, the number-one radio station at the time. She had an exceptional carreer where she not only produced for some of the biggest names in music, such as Aretha Franklin and Patti Labelle but also operated her own record label, AwarE, helping to excel the careers of many local acts and most notably, Hattie was inducted to the Black Radio Hall of Fame.
In an interview with WCCB Charlotte, Chatty Hatty expressed, "you got to be sincere about this business of being a trailblazer. You got to be humble, you got to be thankful. You got to help somebody."
Just by pursuing her passion, Chatty Hatty has helped create a new lane for women of color in media, beyond Charlotte and into the national pathway.

Do it for Kanako Undertale Yellow otherwise she won't be able to search for cool pictures of n-WGIV/v online.
I don't even use Spotify just felt like posting this song
https://www.tumblr.com/achivement-unlocked/743086027324932096/kosa
Not the anon, but Kosa is a bill that's soon going to pass where minors on the internet get their parents to see what they search up and restrict things that are deemed "inappropriate." When in reality it prevents kids who are trying to learn about the lbgtq community and kids trying to identify abuse. The bill will change the internet forever and NOT in a good way.
Im pretty sure the anon is trying to ask you to spread awareness about this.
Some links to prevent this are:

Belinda Kendall - Founder of Promise Media Group, LLC
Belinda Kendall, the owner and founder of Promise Media Group, LLC, has spent several years working in media. She had her own talk show on WGIV and Hot77 the Mix where she interviewed celebrities, internationally known pastors, community leaders, professional athletes, and ordinary people with extraordinary stories. She firmly believes that the best stories remain undocumented and can only be heard from those that lived and witness it. Therefore, she is passionate about utilizing her platform to amplify the voices of ordinary people. Belindaā€™s community service work has landed her on the cover of ā€œWomen with Know Howā€ magazine where she told her story ā€œNever Let Your Past Become Bigger than Your Dreams.ā€ https://issuu.com/sparkpublications/docs/1209-wwknfinal. She is also the first African American woman to serve on the Executive Board of Directors ā€œFans of Americaā€ which is a non-profit organization that supports veterans internationally. Belinda has spent over 15 years in sales, management, and marketing for Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, she has an extensive resume of community service meeting the housing, employment, and financial needs of her community. During her years in media, she has moderated political debates and emceed political events for the NAACP. She has accumulated an audience of over 450,000 friends on Facebook and over 46,000 connections on LinkedIn through her positive posts that include advice and general bits of Christian based wisdom. Some of her posts on LinkedIn have garnered over 4,000,000 views within a matter of days. Belindaā€™s goal is to own her own TV station and she has partnered with Mr. Wea Lee the owner of Southern News Media Group Houston TX. She has purchased 12 hours every Sunday from 7:30am-7:30pm. April 23, 2018 Hattie Leeper: Lovingly Known As ā€œChatty Hattieā€ First Black Woman Disc Jockey In Charlotte, N.C. [Video] Hattie Leeper was just a teenager working odd jobs at WGIV-AM when she became the first African-American woman on Charlotte radio in the 1950ā€™s. She was known as ā€œChatty Hattie,ā€ to an integrated Charlotte audience during her years as the top-rated disc jockey at WGIV. Leeperā€™s interest in radio began at an early age. By the time she was fifteen, she was an errand girl for the DJā€™s at radio station WGIV. One day, one of the DJā€™s showed up drunk, crashing his car as he arrived at the stationā€™s studio. Leeper had to stand in for the DJ and that is how her career first got started, playing records on the air. Initially, Leeper wasĀ afraid to speak much between the records that she soon got over that and became known as ā€˜Chatty Hattie.ā€™ Ā After she finished high school, she was officially appointed to a DJā€™s post at the station, making her the first black female DJ at WGIV.Ā  She was the best known and top rated DJ at the station for a long period of time. It was ā€˜Chatty Hattieā€™ that drew up the stationā€™s singles charts onĀ numerous occasions. One chart ā€˜Chatty Hattieā€™ compiled was in August 1964 which included: The Supremes, Jerry Butler, Gene Chandler, Bobby Bland, Solomon Burke, Otis Redding, Garnett Mimms, the Beatles, Marvin Gaye and the Impressions who topped it. In addition to their Top 40 chart, the station also selected ten hit picks to play on rotation (calling them their ā€˜Heavy concentration Spinsā€™). In August 1964 one of those singles was Kenny Hamberā€™s ā€œShow Me Your Monkey.ā€ So his track got heavy exposure in North Carolina for a few weeks that summer. WGIVĀ managed to be aĀ cutting edge concern through up until 1967. After working at WGIV for several years, Leeper went on to become a record producer and even ran her own record label.Ā Leeper won numerous awards, including a spot in the N.C. Association of Broadcastersā€™ Hall of Fame. sources: Video: YouTube www.wbtv.com/story/29679557/charlottes-broadcast-hall-of-fame-expanded-after-race-controversy www.thecharlottepost.com/index.php?src=news&refno=871&category=Life%20a
