The only reason I don't have to go through this any more is because I married someone who is on the autism spectrum who was trained to clean by his mom, and so he is Very Particular about the kitchen. He does the dishes 1-2 times a day without protest and keeps things tidy and returns a clean crock pot to our agreed upon spot.
But he can't cook. And I can, despite the ADHD, largely because of some timely intervention from the Girl Scouts when I was a child.
Early on in our relationship we came up with the "I cook, you clean" method of keeping ourselves from starving to death.
Thus, the can opener is always in the correct place. The crock pot is always stored in the correct cabinet and is clean (although we invest in crock pot liners when we can find them cheap because they are a godsend.) The dishes are always clean and ready for me to make a mess. The counters and floors are free of fallen sugar and ants.
So my AHDH cooking hack is: find a cleaning buddy, promise to feed them, and make cooking one of your own hyperfixations.
Also my favorite ADHD crock pot recipe is pulled pork.
Crock Pot Pulled Pork Standard Edition
Remove plain, cheap pork shoulder from the plastic and put it into the crock pot
Add whatever BBQ seasonings you want
Cook on Low for 4 hours
Cut the cooked meat into chunks if needed (sometimes it'll just break up on its own for you)
Cook on Keep Warm for another 2 hours to soften further
Shred the pork with a fork and stir into the broth
Eat as a sandwich
Refrigerate leftovers for up to 1 week
Crock Pot Pulled Pork ADHD Edition
At some point prior to being hungry, go shopping and get a pre-seasoned pork shoulder because you don't have BBQ seasonings in the house and it's just way easier this way
On a day you will be home, either WFH or on a day off or w/e, get the crock pot out in the morning (see steps 1-5 on the previous recipe's list)
Set it next to the sink
Find some scissors (This may be the hardest step)
A knife will do in a pinch
Go "OH SHIT" because you forgot about a work meeting
Log into the work meeting, find out it's the kind you can just listen to since other people are driving, and return to the kitchen with headphones on
Resume food prep while listening
Cut open the plastic bag of the pork shoulder. Remove the plastic entirely and drop it in the sink for now
Put the pork into the crock pot. no need to pre-sear!
Move the crock pot to the space on the kitchen counter that is both next to a plug and also sort of out of the way
Remember to plug it in
Turn the crock pot on low
Set a timer for 4 hours (if you have a slightly fancier crock pot you can set the timer right on it and it'll switch off Low automatically and go to keep warm by itself)
Throw away the plastic container from the sink
Frantically run back to the computer because you have been summoned for a work task
Complete the work task, send off the appropriate email, remember you've got a mess in the sink
Wash the sink and rinse off the scissors
Ignore the pork shoulder for the 4 hours you set. it will brown itself. liquid will form around the hunk of cooked meat. this is normal. don't panic. don't open the lid.
After 4 hours, switch the crock pot to Keep Warm for at least another 2 hours. If you have the fancier crock pot, it did this by itself, which is very nice.
After 2 more hours of Keep Warm, it should disintegrate when poked with a sharp utensil (knife, fork, anything.)
If it only breaks into chunks, leave the chunks alone for a while more (another 1-2 hours) swimming inside the liquid at the bottom of the crock pot
After 6-8 hours total you should have fully disintegrable pork. Shred it and stir it into the liquid
Turn the crock pot off because that fucker is gonna take 2 hours to cool down. You can leave the pork in there while it does, it's okay.
Eat the hot pork on a sandwich or hamburger bun or just eat it from a bowl if you have no bread
When it is cool enough to put into a storage container, put it in the fridge
if you can't find the matching lid to the storage container wrap it in saran wrap or aluminum foil
if you can't find those either you can tape a paper towel over the edges and it'll be okay
when all else fails just pull the entire ceramic crock pot bowl out of its little heater and put the entire thing in the fridge and just re-stir the pork if the top dries out
Makes like 6-8 servings depending on how huge of a pork shoulder you got so you can eat off that one thing for a few days
the pork is still delicious when eaten cold straight from the fridge
Don't forget to wash the crock pot when it's empty again
How to cook with ADHD
The recipe:
A simple crock pot dump dinner with no prep and no extra dishes dirtied! Five minute prep time.
The instructions:
Grease crock pot
Brown sausage or ground beef (or substitute sausage links)*
Mince 4 garlic cloves*
Dump frozen tortellini, canned tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, chicken broth, sausage links, garlic, basil, condensed milk, shredded cheese, and chicken broth into crock pot
Stir**
Cook on low heat 4-6 hours
*Note: these two steps weren't included in the recipe, because if you don't have ADHD you can manifest already-browned ground beef and already-minced garlic cloves from the aether using your executive function telekinesis.
**Note: "Stir" was listed as part of the same step as "dump" in the recipe, because if you don't have ADHD your executive function telekinesis can stir the ingredients in mid-air as you're dumping them in.
The reality:
Haul out the crock pot; congratulate yourself on remembering where you stuffed it
Lube up crock pot with olive oil; discover something burned crusted inside one corner. You have too much ADHD to typically try crock pot recipes so this is from the roommate that recently moved out, but ex-roommate also has ADHD so this is still an expected stage of the "cooking with ADHD" process.
Try to scrub out the burned flakes without removing the greasing up you've already applied to the rest of the pot
Lube up the formerly burned corner.
Wash off greasy hands
Tear open frozen tortellini bag; dump it in. Congratulate yourself on how smoothly this is going.
Pick up the canned tomatoes
Grab the can opener Search for the can opener in the kitchen tools drawer
Search the utensils drawer
Search the pens & matches & leftover expired sunglasses from the solar eclipse drawer
Search the pot holders drawer
Search the shelf with the canned sauces left behind when your roommate left because sometimes you stick kitchen tools next to the food item that needs the tool, for ADHD reasons
Try to remember whether, when roommate moved out and you split up the kitchen supplies, a can opener was included amongst the supplies bequeathed to you
Realize with the weariness born of long experience that you're about to have An Adventure
Comfort yourself with the knowledge that this will at least make a funny tumblr post
Make mental note to include friendly shout-out to ex-roomie so when they read this they know you don't resent them for taking the can opener(s), something you should have thought to ask about yourself, and also something you would have discovered sooner if not for the fact that you have too much ADHD to typically try recipes that involve opening a can
Inspect the rim keeping the lid on the tomato can
Squeeze the sides near the top hoping perhaps you can just pop it off like Popeye; slightly dent can
Optimistically try to pry the lid off with your fingernails, knowing in your heart that cans were designed the way they were specifically to prevent the lid being removed by such flimsy tools but remembering some kind of youtube video about the the way the rims of cans are rolled over each other.
Google "open can without can opener" while aiming the evil eye at the search results to ward off useless AI sites that spend 1000 words droning about situations when someone might want a can opener before poorly paraphrasing other people's advice
Click on Wikihow with relief
Realize the sink's been running since before step 1 because you're trying to wash off a really gross spoon that was in the fridge with cheese on it for about a week; observe the spoon, nudge it back under the stream, and decide it could use a little more rinsing so you don't have to touch it.
Scroll past "rub a spoon's edge over the weak metal until it wears through," looks too time-consuming
Scroll past "stab lid with knife," looks like too much effort
Scroll past "rub lid on concrete to wear off the metal," you already know that one and you're not THAT desperate
stop at "stab lid with the back corner of a chopping knife," shrug in defeat. You're gonna need to dirty a chopping knife to slice up the sausage anyway.
Stab lid with the back corner of a chopping knife Attempt to stab lid with back corner of a chopping knife; conclude it's too much effort and you're more likely to slip and lose a finger
Attempt to rub spoon through lid; conclude it's even less likely to get through
Suddenly remember with glee that your swiss army knife has a can opener
Grab it from the Specific Spot it lives on the kitchen counter so you Never Ever Lose It Discover your army knife isn't in its Specific Spot
Vaguely search the shelf in the living room where tools sometimes congregate
Remember seeing the army knife on the bedside stand organizer you got to ensure you Never Ever Lose your glasses and ADHD meds
Walk to the farthest room at the very other end of the house
Find your army knife exactly where you thought it was, congratulate yourself; realize it's the LITTLE army knife
Check it for a can opener anyway
Realize you must have removed it from the counter a month or two ago (you don't remember how long due to The ADHD) when The Ants found a way into the kitchen from behind the dishwasher and you scrubbed down the entire counter with ant-repelling flower essential oils to curb the invasion.
Return to the kitchen; realize the sink is still running; decide the spoon could stand to rinse a little more.
Search the table that you meant to remove from the kitchen when you got a new table but that instead has become a Gathering Spot Of Stuff With No Home
Remember that the utensils used to be in the pantry for ADHD reasons
Search the pantry for a can opener; find nothing
Go to the other end of the house again and vaguely search the shelf by your computer desk where tools sometimes congregate
Five minute prep time.
Return to the kitchen and remember that you moved all the stuff from the counter to the other ant-free counter, three feet away from where you started.
Triumphantly locate swiss army knife
Flip open can opener attachment; realize blade is blunt; hopefully tell yourself that must be the bottle top opener.
Flip open the other can opener attachment; realize its blade is blunt as well
Nevertheless, watch a youtube video (from inside the DuckDuckGo search results instead of on youtube itself, because you have youtube blocked on your phone for 6 hours a day with an app you paid real money for to actually lock you OUT of distracting apps rather than merely pop up an easily-dismissible "teehee you shouldn't be on this app right now!" screen, because you have ADHD) on how to open a can with a swiss army knife can opener
Attempt to open can with blunt can opener.
Try the spoon again.
Resort to the "rub can's lid on concrete" technique; grab one of the bricks you got for free a few months ago for some kind of half-baked backyard project you haven't started yet and that's been sitting in the kitchen nook ever since.
Discover that the can is sanding down the brick faster than the brick is sanding down the can; also discover that the lid's acquired a tomato juice-dripping puncture half the size of a vampire bite, but that was probably thanks to the can opener
Wash off the can so that when you finally get it open, you don't get brick and metal shavings in the tomato juice
Five minute prep time.
Move the sausage from the counter into the fridge. You might be here a while.
Decide that you've tried this WikiHow's way; now you're trying it YOUR way. Go to the craft room where all your crafts have been packed in boxes since the last time you moved two years ago and haphazardly opened and strewn about whenever you need something specific.
Locate your toolbox exactly where you knew it was: sitting right in the middle of the floor. Convenient, easily visible.
Take your pliers from your toolbox Discover your pliers aren't in your toolbox.
Vaguely search the shelf next to your computer desk where tools congregate Spot the pliers on your desk on your way to the shelf; have no recollection of what you were doing with your pliers at your desk.
Return to kitchen with wrath in your heart
Start attempting to bend and wiggle the rim of the lid of the can a little at a time in hopes of it snapping off or something. You still vaguely recall that youtube video watched long ago about how cans are constructed.
Discover you've punched a hole through the side of the can when tomato juice starts dripping down your fingers
Try to pour juice into crock pot; get about eight drops
Begin to wonder if it would have just taken less time to drive 20 minutes to Target to buy a can opener
Resume going around the edge trying to pry off the lid. Experience only extremely moderate success
Attempt to pour more juice from the widening wound into the crock pot; get about four drops.
In frustration, jam the pliers into the hole you've already made and attempt to wrench it open wide enough to pour the tomatoes out
Peel off the wet wrapper around the hole
Repeat process 4-5 times until hole is big enough to free all tomatoes
Set the can aside in triumph
With the weariness of a World War I soldier preparing to march back into the trenches, set your eyes on the can of condensed milk
Go to rinse off your pliers so the milk isn't cross-contaminated with tomato juice; realize it doesn't matter because it's all going into the same crock pot
Experience 5 seconds of lost time and come back to reality to discover you're washing your pliers anyway even though you just decided not to. You have no recollection of this.
Continue to let the sink run, for the spoon. It could use it.
Start plying the rim of the condensed milk can; console yourself with the knowledge that at least this can be a much smaller hole since you're not trying to pour tomatoes out.
Punch a tiny hole in the side that drips all over you.
Try to pour can into crock pot; it's dripping out at a rate of 1 drop every 2 seconds.
Remind yourself yet again that at least this will make for a funny tumblr post
Attempt to widen hole. Really maul that one bit of the rim. Get more milk on your counter.
Attempt to pour again; suspect that it's dripping even slower now
Consider driving to Target again
Wonder how you've ended up with ten times as much milk on the counter than poured into the crock pot
Peel the wet wrapper from around the hole
In frustration, take out the screwdriver on your swiss army knife and jam it into the hole on the lid to wiggle it around and expand it
Pour the world's slowest stream of milk into the crock pot. Decide it's not worth it to try to expand the hole. Just wait for it to do its thing.
Realize that holding the can this high doesn't make the stream any faster but DOES make tiny drops splash outside the crock pot. Lower the can.
Shake it a bit.
Realize the sink's still running; decide to let it keep going, the spoon could use it.
Pour in the spaghetti sauce which came in a sensible glass jar with a twist lid
Pour in the chicken broth with sensible twist lids. Ruminate on the wisdom and convenience of twist lids
Add a tablespoon of dried basil
Try to remember the rough conversion rate of garlic cloves to pre-minced garlic, because you have ADHD and you're not about to mince your own garlic. You think it was one clove to one teaspoon. You would check, but the conversion you found was on reddit (after scrolling past a dozen AI sites) and you can't check it again because your app blocker keeps you out of reddit so you don't get distracted.
Add four teaspoons of pre-minced garlic
Dump in the shredded cheese; realize you didn't put it in the fridge with the sausage; decide it's fine, it's cheese, it hasn't been that long.
Five minute prep time.
Take sausage from fridge
Grab a plate to chop the sausage on
Slice open the package, dump out the sausage
Attempt to imitate the super fast chopping you see in cooking videos but when you do that the knife doesn't go all the way through the skin; reluctantly slow down
Once again, resentfully think about how many "one pot" "no prep" "dump dinner" crock pot recipes you've found that assume browning meat is a freebie action that magically takes zero time; wonder where people without ADHD magically find the spare time to complete tasks they've allotted 0 seconds for in their prep schedule
Muse that you probably could've browned half a cow's worth of ground beef in the time opening that tomato can took; remind yourself that if you actually had tried to brown your own beef, it would have probably turned into An Adventure as well.
Think to yourself that tumblr had damn well better enjoy your suffering because SOMEBODY here needs to
Dump sausage in crock pot
Nicely wipe the tomato juice and condensed milk splatters off the rim because a few weeks ago while looking for ADHD cleaning hacks you found the quote "you can wipe it now or you can scrub it later" and you're trying to incorporate that into your life.
Put the lid on at last
Plug it in scoot aside the detritus of the ingredients until you've made room to scoot the crock pot next to the power outlet
Plug it in
Set it to low heat and 6 hours
Check the clock; realize that it will finish cooking at the exact same time that you're supposed to be leaving for two and a half hours to pick up some free tiles you found on craigslist for the half-baked backyard project you haven't started yet; decide this is a logistics problem for future you
Throw away all the empty stuff that doesn't need to be rinsed.
Put the basil in the cutlery drawer, which is naturally where all the spices live because you always need to grab the forks, salt, and pepper at the same time
Realize the sink is still running; decide it wouldn't hurt to let it go a little longer
Put the minced garlic jar in the fridge; remove the last half-empty minced garlic jar that you THOUGHT you'd had, but you don't know when it was opened so you'd decided to get a new one anyway
Double-check to make sure there aren't any other leftover ingredients that need refrigerating because you don't want to have another Mayonnaise Incident (bought a big jar of lime mayo, used it once, accidentally left it on the counter in the spot where it had been sitting when it was unopened rather than refrigerate it, had to throw away the whole thing)
Tiredly tell yourself that you can wash the tomato juice and condensed milk off the counter later THE ANTS THE ANTS THE ANTS. Resolve to wash everything now so that you won't get another invasion.
Reluctantly pick up that spoon that's been soaking and scrub the rest of the cheese off with your thumb. It takes like twenty seconds. You could have cleaned it in twenty seconds at the start of all this.
Stick it in the dishwasher
Rinse out the glass tomato sauce jar and put it in the half of the sink dedicated to letting recyclables dry out.
As long as you're here, remove the actual dishes that are sitting in the half of the sink dedicated to recyclables that you put there when you made room to rinse the cheese spoon; put them in the dishwasher because you want to be able to give yourself an "emptied the sink" point in the gameified habit-tracking app you got for your ADHD (not to be confused with the life skills coaching habit-tracking app you got for your ADHD)
Bemoan the fact that you can't award yourself points this week for getting groceries on Monday because it's Friday. You were willing to let it go as far as Thursday and still award yourself credit but Friday's just too far.
Artfully arrange the cans and their "can openers" so you can take a picture of the carnage, because dammit you're getting SOMETHING out of this
Rinse out the tomato can and put it in the drying recyclables half of the sink
Direct a stream of water into the little hole on the condensed milk can; only realize your extremely predictable mistake when you try to drain it and the world's slowest stream of water pours out
Shake out the rest of the water and chuck the condensed milk can in the trash
Wash off the pliers
Wash the swiss army knife and all three extensions you tried to use even though only one was useful; tiredly recall that you didn't wash them off BEFORE opening the cans and decide you'll just live with that risk
Put your army knife in its Specific Spot where you'll Never Ever Lose It
Forget whether you've washed the pliers
Look at the pliers Accidentally look at your phone on the counter instead; your mind immediately ejects all thoughts like a bomber plane dumping its bombs and you stare blankly at the glowing screen, which isn't even displaying anything interesting, for at least ten seconds, trying to remember what you were looking at it for
Notice that there's condensed milk splashes on your phone; remember the pliers; check the pliers; remember you did wash them already
Wipe off your phone screen
Glance in the kitchen tools drawer while grabbing a paper towel, thinking about what a fool you would have just made of yourself if there is a can opener after all; be relieved to find no can opener
Wash off the counter; congratulate yourself on doing such a good job keeping the counter clean and the kitchen ant-free, except for that one time a week ago when one drop of orange chicken sauce fell on the counter without you noticing and you crushed four ant scouts before you managed to find what they were looking for. But other than that you're doing so good
Realize you didn't plan what you'll eat for lunch.

Casualties: 2 cans
Times I interrupted myself while writing this: 32
Verdict: remarkably low number of interruptions
The most deeply nested distraction-within-a-distraction Matryosha doll experienced while writing this: 4 (plus five separate 3-layer Matryosha distractions)
This includes remembering THE ANTS THE ANTS THE ANTS and going downstairs to toss the trash bag with the half-rinsed condensed milk can outside
This also includes two separate daily alarms I have set to deliberately disrupt my focus in case I've accidentally started hyperfocusing on a task I'm not supposed to be doing and one time tumblr got locked by my distracting-app-locking app
More important tasks I'm ignoring to write this post: 11
Casualties: 2 cans
Amount of time it took me to realize I mentioned the casualties twice and edit this post: 21 minutes
Not including writing this post, total prep time for the five-minute-prep-time dump dinner: one hour and twenty minutes.

Best Matching Sets for Summer – 15 Buttons Co-ord Collection

Let’s admit it—summer fashion can be a bit of a chore. Between melting makeup, sweaty backs, and the eternal question of “What do I even wear today?”, it’s easy to fall into a cycle of the same ol’ tank top and jeans combo. But what if we told you there’s a way to stay stylish, feel effortless, and beat the heat—all at the same time? Enter: Co-ord sets.
Yep, co-ords. Two-piece matching sets that take zero brainpower but give 100% style payoff. Whether you're running errands, heading to brunch, or just lounging like the queen you are, matching sets are the no-fuss, high-impact fashion hack your wardrobe didn’t know it needed. And here at 15 Buttons, we’ve got a co-ord collection that’s summer-approved, body-positive, and tailored for real people with real lives.
So let’s take a deep dive into why co-ord sets are the ultimate summer wardrobe MVP—and why the 15 Buttons Co-ord Collection deserves a prime spot in your closet this season.
What’s So Great About Co-ords Anyway?
First off, let’s talk practicality. A co-ord set is literally a pre-styled outfit. No frantic matching. No “does this top go with these pants?” panic. Just slip it on and you’re done.
But there’s more to it than convenience. Co-ords are versatile. You can wear the pieces together for a polished, cohesive look, or mix and match them with other staples in your closet. That breezy cotton top? Wear it with high-waist denim. Those flowy palazzos? Pair them with a fitted crop and chunky jewelry. Boom—multiple outfits from just one set.
Plus, there’s something about a well-put-together matching outfit that just screams: I’ve got my life together. Even if you’re running on two hours of sleep and instant coffee.
1. Cotton Co-ords – Made for Indian Summers
Let’s face it—nothing beats cotton when it comes to surviving the blazing heat of an Indian summer. Lightweight, breathable, and oh-so-soft, it’s the kind of fabric that plays nice with your skin. Our cotton co-ord sets at 15 Buttons are designed with both comfort and flair in mind.
Take our pastel green block-printed co-ord set for example—it’s soft, subtle, and radiates calm energy, like a lime popsicle in human form. Pair it with white sneakers and a slick bun, and you’re all set for a day of city strolling or WFH Zoom calls.
Hot tip: Cotton co-ords with loose silhouettes are your best friend when the humidity hits you like a wall.
2. Linen Blend Co-ords – Chic Meets Breezy
Want something a little dressier than cotton but just as breathable? Linen blends are where it’s at. Our co-ord sets made from linen-cotton mixes offer that crisp texture and slightly elevated look—without turning you into a human toastie.
Think smart culottes paired with boxy cropped tops in earthy tones like cinnamon, sand, or sage. These are perfect for semi-formal events, airport looks, or casual Fridays at the office (you know, when dressing up feels like effort).
Style it: Add metallic flats, minimalist jewelry, and a no-makeup makeup look. Chef’s kiss.
3. Printed Co-ords – For the Maximalist in You
Who said matching sets have to be plain? At 15 Buttons, we live for a good print. From quirky florals to Rajasthani-inspired motifs, our printed co-ords are a total vibe.
Printed sets are perfect for vacations, weekend outings, or anytime you want your outfit to do the talking. One of our crowd favorites? The sunflower yellow co-ord set with hand-drawn leafy motifs—it’s like bottled sunshine in clothing form.
Pro tip: Keep accessories minimal and let the print do the heavy lifting.
4. Kaftan Co-ords – Comfort Level: 100
Okay, if you haven’t tried a kaftan co-ord set, you’re seriously missing out. Imagine a flowy, airy top that doesn’t cling, matched with wide-legged pants that feel like pajamas—but make it fashion.
Perfect for poolside lounging, lazy Sundays, or just pretending you’re at a luxury resort (even if you’re actually on your balcony with a glass of chilled Rooh Afza). Our kaftan sets are all about drama meets comfort, and yes, they come in sizes that actually make sense for real bodies.
Personal favorite: The sea-blue kaftan set with hand embroidery? Total showstopper.
5. Fusion Co-ords – Indo-Western Done Right
Co-ords don’t always have to stick to one genre. At 15 Buttons, we love experimenting—and that’s where our fusion co-ord sets come in.
Imagine a sleeveless kurta-style top paired with a dhoti-inspired skirt. Or a structured peplum blouse with sharara pants. It’s East meets West in the coolest way possible. Great for festive seasons, casual mehendis, or even intimate summer weddings where you want to skip the heavy lehenga but still bring the lewk.
Why it works: Fusion co-ords give you a festive feel without the heavy fabrics or OTT embellishments. Just style with oxidized silver jewelry and soft curls—done.
6. Everyday Co-ords – WFH to Weekend in a Snap
Not every co-ord has to be a statement. Sometimes you just need something easy. Something that works for quick grocery runs, spontaneous coffee dates, or sitting on the sofa watching K-dramas for six hours straight (we don’t judge).
Our everyday cotton co-ords—like the grey-blue sleeveless tunic and jogger pant set—are equal parts chic and comfy. Add a messy bun, crossbody bag, and your favorite playlist, and you're set for whatever life throws at you.
Real talk: These are the kind of outfits you’ll wear way more than you think. Trust us.
How to Accessorize Your Co-ord Sets
Matching sets make styling easy, but you can still elevate your look with a few key touches:
Statement earrings if your set is plain.
Layered necklaces for low necklines.
Belts to add structure to oversized tops.
Chunky sandals or kolhapuris depending on the vibe.
Bags in contrasting shades—play with color!
Remember, the set gives you a base. You bring the personality.
Final Thoughts – Match It and Make It Yours
Co-ords aren’t just a trend. They’re a movement. A rebellion against the idea that looking good needs to be hard. With 15 Buttons, we’re bringing you matching sets that actually fit, feel good, and flex with your lifestyle.
From lazy brunches to casual office days, from festive get-togethers to weekend getaways, there’s a co-ord set in our collection waiting to become your new go-to.
And honestly? Life’s too short for outfit stress. So give yourself the gift of easy elegance—choose a co-ord that matches your vibe, your body, and your summer energy.
Check out the full 15 Buttons Co-ord Collection at 15button.in and let your summer wardrobe do the talking. Because matching has never looked this cool. 🌞
So—what are you waiting for? Match made in heaven? It’s already hanging in your cart.

march 7th 2025
another day filled with gratitude. there was a moment habang jumejebs ata ako naisip ko lang all those months before of me praying and trusting God with my present moment. how He's been listening all this time. i can't believe that I really got what i've been praying for. kinikilig ako na non voice, di ganun kacomplicated ang work load at higit sa lahat, dayshift!!! sobra kong namiss matulog sa gabi. nag ddrawing na kami ni anneka na mag wfh sa ibang bahay or lugar someday hehe. thank you talaga Lord. alam kong tulungan rin tayo together para ma-maintain ko ang blessing na to. indeed everything works when you live with gratitude.
before mag start ng shift naka chat ko pa si ate joan tungkol dito ang ofc still being grateful for our LT journey despite the ending. hehe. kakamiss lang din sila makachikahan. day off ni ate charmaine kaya si kuya jeff ang aking guide. naturo na rin niya sa akin yung other task na edgeprop. yakang yaka pati ako di rin makapaniwala. hehe. literally just worked today while playing random day6, kpop mv on the side until nauwi sa the 1975, the fray, the queen etc. after dinner tinapos ko irewatch ang My Amanda. jusko paps na paps si piolo pascual don with his long hair and man bun 😭 tas sobrang nostalgic naalala ko lahat ng feels from 2021 back when that film was released. nakakatuwa lang. nakakamiss rin syempre. ayun lss ngayon sa through the fire which triggers my baguio feelings!!!!
grateful list
🍀 waking up in the morning
🍀 being awaken to a new day and another cup of coffee
🍀 old but golden songs from 80s that makes evening cozier and gives me baguio feelssss
🍀 memories from 2021. my fave year that has soooo many good moments.
🍀 being able to work from home while singing to all my favorite songs
🍀 having my voice back!!! and being able to jam to my songs again!!!!
🍀 being employed!!!!! having a job!!!!
🍀 my heart filled with gratitude!!! 🥹
🍀 me not being scared for feeling happy bcs this is something we have to celebrate. for not giving up to life. for still being here. for believing in life.

On A Thread
Seventeen CEO!Joshua Hong (Hong Jisoo) x Nurse!Reader Summary: If our love was a piece of string, it was like he took my hand, handed me the scissors, and told me, "cut it." So I did. Word Count: 3k Warnings: Break ups, fluff (if you squint real hard), angst, classism, elitism, exhaustion, toxic relationship i guess, tyPoS bye, etc.
A/N: i really wanted to write angst and it was supposed to be short but 3k is short i guess WTF>SHHFO WFH. Anyway, parts of the premise and a lot of their dialogue towards the end was prompted by some prompts i reblogged before posting this, so you can check it out if you like <:
It was never supposed to be this way. He and I were never supposed to even meet. But we did. And I opened my heart to him.
That may have been the worst thing I've done thus far.
He was like a rose. His fragrance was all consuming. And he grew around me, choking me with his thorns.
The worse thing was, | could not escape him.
Because he wasn't just an ex, he was the food I ate, the clothes I wore, and the serum on my skin; he was the head of the corporation that practically owned all the eye can see.
He was Hong Jisoo of SVT Group, Joshua to his friends, Josh to his closest friends, and... a burning memory now to me. He was the CEO that was second to none that he practically had the nation in his chokehold.
He was a lingering presence that made me shudder, especially on this gruesome night after hours. He was in everyday brands that always had a buy-one-take-one promo, as well as designer brands whose prices seemed to only grow higher.
And I'm honestly thoroughly offended that he ripped the sacred place I had into his iron fists. How dare he shop in the low-lit supermart by my apartment this late at night, knowing what he did, when he could well afford all the exclusive supermarkets near his private village.
Was he that spiteful, when he seemed so relieved to have gotten me out of his life?
What could he possibly need here that was so unavailable to him in his luxury shops?
And how he dare wear the suit ensemble I praised him too many times in when he wore it?
I stood there across the isle, gripping the handle of my shopping cart, looking at him like I was back in school, trying to understand what in the world my teacher just wrote on the board.
I watched as he reached towards the shelf, looking at macaroni, cocking his head, probably wondering to himself if he owned that brand or not. He's done it once before, asses the products while shopping, then put down notes of it on his phone.
It never bothered me, but then again, I suppose maybe it should have, since it was like every waking hour was lived only for his job.
Still, Jisoo had his hair combed and gelled back to a precision I used to love watching unfold. His suit had not a single wrinkle, even after the entire day. His tie was pinned down by something more expensive than my laptop and his collar was cuffed by something more expensive than my entire wardrobe of clothes.
That was who he was. Immaculate and poised. Perfectly polished to a T... and I, I turn to my imitation crocks and fuzzy socks, was this.
I was scrubs and late night shifts and messy hiar buns and convenient store coffee and sweat and tears. We were worlds apart.
Worlds apart.
I did myself a favor and pulled my cart back, moving the opposite direction of him, although I had nothing to so in the laundry soap isle.
This all happened because I was doing my cousin a favor. She was an event planner and currently looking for an new assistant. I used to work with her part-time before becoming a registered nurse, which was why she was quite adamant on getting my help.
She promised a day's pay and Michelin star food from the event itself if I helped her in exchange for me sacrificing my rare day off. After a couple days of persuading, I told Taeyeon I was in, although my heart and body longed for an entire day of sleep.
At the time, I was glad I went to the party, because there had been a choking accident that I was able to remedy. It was of a man who I would call my friend, Yoon Jeonghan, that nearly suffocated on live squid.
And of course, at the time, I was also glad I came because I met the him.
But there have been so many times after our brutal break up were I wondered what would have happened if I turned Taeyeon down and slept in that day. But then I worry that Jeonghan might have not have someone to help him fast enough. So then I wonder what it would be like if Joshua had a call that hindered him from thanking me personally for saving his friend. Maybe then we wouldn't have fallen into small talk, and I wouldn't have told him about this milk tea shop that I loved so much, and he wouldn't have gone there persistently just to have a 'chance' encounter with me.
I couldn't turn my thoughts of him off, even as I ticked my list into completion.
I was on autopilot when I walked towards the register, but then my heart dropped when I saw Joshua standing there in front of the cashier, fishing for his thin wallet in his suit's breast pocket.
My entire body was suddenly pulsing with adrenaline.
I cleared my throat and headed for another lane, although the customer there only begun checking out her items.
It was dreadful when I saw in my peripherals the cashier turn to me, wave, and call out for me to move to her lane, since she was done checking Joshua out.
Fuck, shit, bitch, fucker, fucking shit, what the fuck-
I sucked in a breath and turned to the middle aged lady, beckoning me over to her. I sighed and moved my cart with disdain. I kept my eyes on a bag of chips I got as I made my way.
I avoided all eye contact and started unloading my items for the cashier that I gave but a quick glance and smile to while handing her my reusable bags.
I robotically brought my stuff out.
Dear goodness, maybe I was being too obvious about this.
I sighed as I brushed off the feeling of eyes burning into my skull.
Please don't talk to me, please don't talk to me, please don't talk to me, please don't talk to me, please don't-
By the time I'm halfway through my task, I bravely glace forward, praying he wasn't just stood there watching me.
But I was faced with no one but the woman punching my items and and a man bagging them.
I began to feel heat trickle up my neck and cheeks.
Did he not see me?
Suddenly, I felt so conflicted, hurt, angry by the idea that my presence wasn't even acknowledged.
I scoff lowly at myself and felt my shoulders deflate. The tension in my muscles relaxed, but not in a relieving manner. I suddenly, so stupidly, felt my eyes begin to glass as well. I rub my them, thinking about how horrible and exhausted I felt.
I thought about how much I wanted to go to sleep, and how much I wanted to get a hug, and how I had no one to give me one.
I sniffle and release a breath, smiling at the cashier when she tells me my total. I pay her, then get my things, automatically telling her to have a good day as well, though I clearly meant none of it.
With my two bags in hand, I step out of the supermart and look up to the sky, out of habit. It was a bare night sky, with no stars nor clouds. Boy, was I glad I didn't have work tomorrow.
It was instantaneous when brought my sights back eye level. There I saw, across the street, the dark grey car with tinted windows and shiny silver wheels that seemed cleaner than my apartment as it reflected the street light.
He was there, hands in his pockets, leaned back on the side of his million dollar car.
We made eye contact and he raised a hand at me.
A hand? What was I supposed to do with that?
My brows furrow involuntarily.
I nearly choke when he straightens his stance and asks, "do you need a ride?"
Do I need a ride?
Wow.
Do. I. Need. A. Ride?
From. Him?
How could he ask me that?
I grip my things and ready to leave, but-
Oh crap, he was walking towards me.
My entire body was burning to run, damn, my brain was yelling furiously to run. But it was like I was stuck in a conundrum of unfathomable cause and I was frozen in place, unwitting, completely helpless.
Suddenly, he was in front of me, looking down at my form as if I was a pathetic juvenile incapable of doing something so simple.
His smooth skin was offensive to me, and so was his too familiar cologne that made my stomach drop for far too many different reasons that I should work on nullifying.
Jisoo corrects himself, "let me give you a ride."
I look at him. He watches me. He then moves even closer, to get the bags in my hand. That seemed to be the only point I had the will to move. It was the tipping point for my reason to return.
I pull back and quickly retort, "no."
Jisoo halts as I recoil from him and give him a look.
It was then I have the spine to gather myself and walk past him.
I am foolishly held back by his question, "why not?"
I clench my jaw and turn to him, blinking far too much, "I feel like I can't breath when I'm around you."
For the second time, Jisoo corrects himself, "please, let me drive you home."
I turn away from him, shaking my head, "what are you even doing here?"
He moves back in front of me, digging his hands back into his pocket, "they have a chip here that isn't available anywhere else."
I snort. I don't believe him.
"Believe me, I've looked."
His sentiment makes me realize that I've been awake for 20 hours and my head feels like it was about to fall off. It made me recall how obsessive he could get about his ideas or when he liked something, how he literally bought two industrial boxes of candy that I introduced him to because he enjoyed it so much.
I involuntarily yawned, eyes misting. I felt like dropping down and crying and sleeping right this moment. Now that I was faced with the option of not walking, I didn't want to walk at all.
But then my misty eyes were cleared by the image of his face, with the very soft features that tore me to pieces.
"I'll let you drive me if you promise not to come back here."
He was surprised by this. I was too tired to care or explain.
We both new he had absolutely no reason to even go do something as trivial as shopping for groceries since his literal assistants had assistants.
And yet here he was, shocked by my softly spoken demand.
"Okay."
I blink at him with tired eyes and make my way to his car.
In no time at all, Jisoo was driving me back home. I really didn't want to, but I easily fell asleep on the passenger side since the smell and feel as so familiar, and again, I was about to pass out. It helped that I felt kind of warm as I hugged my bags in my arms.
Josh had always been a good driver. There were times were I would doze of and kind of surprise myself when I woke, that I was actually in a car and not on in a chair at home.
But then I shot awake and yelped when the car suddenly halted and Jisoo barked profanities as he honked at someone caught in his headlights.
He quickly brings the window down and screams, "HEY, GET OUT OF THE ROAD!"
The evidently drunk dude raises the can in his hand and nods, scurrying off the road.
Jisoo sighs and closes the window, continuing his route. He turns to me with a pinched expression, "sorry about that. Go back to sleep."
I shake my head, "it's okay. I'm glad you didn't give him a ticket to the ER."
"The bastard might give himself one though," he clicks his tongue.
For a while, there was only the sound of the car in the atmosphere. I appreciated it, though there was tension.
When we reach a red light, Joshua pulls up the break and leans back. I look to to the window to my right.
"Do you still work the same times?"
I freeze.
"You don't have a shift tomorrow, right?"
Why is he talking to me?
"They replaced that microwave in the pantry, I would assume."
I turn to him and nod.
He turns to me just then, nodding back, "Dr. Lee would appreciate it-- or, maybe she hasn't seen it yet, since she might have already given birth."
What are you doing, Jisoo?
Stop it.
He sighs, placing his hands on his steering wheel, "you didn't answer my previous question."
I knit my brows and shake my head, "I don't have work."
"Good. You look exhausted."
"Thanks."
He doesn't respond.
I turn back to my right, letting a moment pass. I continue, "for the ride. Thanks. For driving me home."
He turns to me and opens his mouth, silent for a second, "I don't know what else I can do."
I knit my brows, holding back a laugh, But I can't help but chuckle in a way that sounds empty and pathetic in my ears.
For some reason, he goes on and says, "I really did want those chips."
I finally turn back to him and see him looking at me. "I didn't say you didn't."
Joshua's face hardens, "well you asked me not to come back there."
I chuckle again, "what else did you expect?"
He doesn't answer, as the red light turns green.
I get it. I really did. As much as I had things on my mind, he had things on his. But it was completely uncalled for and unfair of him to say this in his car as he's driven me home and pulled up in front of my apartment.
In the silence, I decide to just turn for the door and leave.
"Maybe I shouldn't have met you," he muttered, I think to himself as I was about to go, but it wasn't soft enough. I heard him, and it stabbed through my aching heart like a burning dagger.
I turn to him, dumbfounded, even more awake that I was a while ago. My eyes were suddenly brimming with tears that began to fall without my consent.
"What?" I whisper brokenly.
Joshua turns from his lap to me in bewilderment. In this moment he sees me crying, he's realized what he's done. His own eyes begin to water, and yet he persists, "if it were my choice, I never would have approached you."
I scoff, feeling my chest unimaginably tighten, "except it was."
"I talked to you for Jeonghan."
"Yes, and you kept talking to me!" I whine. I sniffled and wiped my hears with my wrist, "you gave me your card, which I never called, and went to my favorite milk tea house."
Jisoo turns away.
I chuckle in disbelief and shake my head, gripping my things and turning to the door, "I'm tired of cleaning up your messes."
"You are so naïve," he mutters lowly.
"How am I naïve huh? You liked me just as much as I liked you!" I snap back. "Don't pretend like this is my fault."
Jisoo turns back, his own tears were streaming down his face, "so it's my fault?"
"No!" I quip, "it's no one's fault!" I groan, "it's everyone's fault! It's," I break into a sob, "it's how it is..."
And how exactly was it?
It was this. How he had a car that could buy me my dream house. How his shoes cost more than my rent. How I refused to buy new shoes though these cheap, fake crocks were about to say goodbye because my mom brought it for me. How his friends became my friends because of how often I meet them, and how lonely I felt after we broke up because I realized I centered my world around him.
How he thought minimum wage and contractualization was fair. How he argued healthcare couldn't possibly be free.
He was kind and caring and romantic, but he was calculating and very clear that I was always going to be second to his career. All the dates for his work events came easy to him. He knew exactly what date it was because of it, and yet he would never seem to find it in him to recall that I asked him to pick up something for me, or that we were supposed to spend the night together.
"My mother was right about you," he said. I nearly vomited at the idea of that wretched woman who hated me for being with his beloved son. I felt betrayed because after all the time I've spent with him, defending him from his own mother that even he could never seem to satisfy, he was taking her side.
He took another jab, right in the jugular, "you really would ruin my life."
I scoff and chuckle dryly, "so far, you have only proven me right." I unbuckle my seatbelt and open the door, "forget it. Just like you forget everything else."
"Wai-"
I step out of the car and give him one last look, "I hope one day you love someone who isn't as worthless as me."
I slam the door and shiver as the cold creeps up my spine.
Joshua watches helplessly as he watches what looked like a lifeless body walking away. He groans in frustration and slams his hands on the steering wheel, accidentally honking the horn, making the walking figure jolt.
He freezes when he realizes his nth mistake of the night.
He breaks into a long string of profanities and shakes his head, nothing but denial leaving his lips, "it was never supposed to be this way."
He wants to jump out of his car and run after what he had been crying about for days, but he let the emotions he bottled up get the best of him tonight, and now he's said everything that's on the tip of his tongue without the proper context.
He is defeated and resentful of no one but himself, "I don't think you're worthless. Why would you tell yourself that?"

Hard to Bid Farewell: til we meet again!
Halo teman-teman terbaik di Tech in Asia, this writing is for you!
Friday, 27 August 2021 will be my last day at Tech in Asia Indonesia.
Kayanya baru kemarin aku join TIA, tepat seminggu sebelum ulangtahunku, yaitu 13 November 2017.
Haha. Halo tim Podcast Pantry Ekky, Mas Vicky, Mas Putra, Mas Adit, Mas Risky, Jesse, Kak Teto, Baba, Mas Cepot dan beberapa alumni Septa, Hadi, Mas Aria, Atha, Alifah, duh banyak! Curhatan Mbak Mbak Jualan
Okesip kelar.
2. Keep being mindful on online conversation
4. Jangan jadi orang yang suka maksa
Salah satu alasan kenapa aku gabiasa jualan adalah karena aku orangnya ga suka maksa. Mungkin kalau persuasif dikit aku masih bisa lah, tapi kalau udah ngerasa ni orang ga nunjukin ketertarikan sama sekali, yauda ga kulanjutin. Cuman pas awal awal chatku dimonitor banget, leaderku suka nyuruh buat tetep ngechat orang dengan tetep nawarin produk pfft trus pernah juga nih ada obrolan kaya gini,
A : Sebelumnya saya izin ya Bun ingin menginfokan produk terbaru dari **
B : Oke silahkan, tapi jangan maksa ya
Haha aku kaget sih awalnya dapat chat kaya gitu, tapi setuju sama ibunya!
5. Networking is definitely a privilege!
Selamat melanjutkan hidup, jangan lupa tetap waras!

Super thankful for WFH life today. I slept like crap because the teething monster was doing a lot of whining in his sleep (even with Motrin before bed ☹️) and then he was up at 5:30 and needed some snuggles to fall back asleep. My alarm was set for 6 AM because I needed to wash my hair but that was a huge nope so I turned it off and went back to sleep until Knox woke up at 7. 🤷🏻♀️ We have to leave at 7:30 so I just threw my nasty hair in a bun and called it good because no one sees me anyway! I also woke up with a huge cold sore on my face. Love that I get them so often!! Not.
I had two eggs and an apple for breakfast. I want coffee so bad but I gotta show myself some will power after the weekend lol.
Alright, time to be productive. Happy Tuesday, friends!

Kehamilan Kedua
