Weylin nearly jumped in his seat when he felt the long fingers brush against his thigh. He snapped a look at Zied, whose face was the picture of bordem as he listened to the council, even as his fingers went higher-

HIs face burned at the squeak that he wasn’t able to stop. Zied looked at him, followed by every lord and lady at the meeting. “Are you alright, my king?” he asked, liquid amber eyes bright.

“Do you need a break?” asked Lord Adohen. “We have been at this for a while.”

Weylin gripped Zied’s golden tan wrist, trying to move it, but it only went higher, that steadfast assassin training taking over. “Quit it or I’ll bite you,” Weylin whispered, through gritted teeth.

A smile curled on Zied’s face. He leaned forward. “You’re making a scene,” ZIed, whispered, in Weylin’s ear. His nails bit into Zied’s skin, at the words caress. “Relax or I’ll just go higher.”

Weylin stared at him, but Zied already turned back to the council meeting, completely ignoring the pleading look Weylin was giving him. “As you were saying?”

yall weylin tries to hard to be polite and composed and to present himself as a king but Zied gets under his skin soooo easily and enjoys making weylin Flustered and Bitchy as Much as Possible

Weylin turned over everything in his mind. Everything he could think of, everything he wanted, everything he needed. And it all boiled down to one simple answer.

“You can’t come back with me,” Weylin murmured against Zied’s skin. “It wouldn’t be fair to you. So stay here. Stay here and forget me.”

Weylin couldn’t stop the tremors that skated down his skin as Zied’s long fingers grazed his spine. “No,” he murmured into Weylin’s hair. “We sould stay together.”

I wish.

Weylin sat up and looked at him. He tried forcing some kind of steel in his face- in his eyes. “I don’t want you to come back with me,” he said. “I have to get married, to a woman. I must keep my word and I can’t do that if you’re there being… you.”

Zied sat up on his elbows, sapphire eyes hard as glass. “Honesty?” he asked, flatly. “Really. Is that what you really want. You are committing the rest of your life to loneliness.” Zied sat up the rest of the way, black hair slipping in his eyes. “And her! Neither of you should be subjected to that.“

“It doesn’t matter,” Weylin clipped out, slipping from the bed. “I am a king, and the last of my line- or at least will be once Esca and his father are executed for treason and murdering my family.” He pulled his clothes on. “We have a duty to our peoples. And that means marrying each other.”

“You’re making a mistake.”

“The only mistake I have made,” Weylin said, too tired to keep the exasperation from his voice, “was getting involved with you.”

They have an interesting dynamic. Weylin isnt a very violent person. He’s quiet, steady and pleasant for the most part. He wants to rule, and for their to be Peace. And then there is Zied, a swaggering bisexual assassin who picks fights like he breathes air

Zied was raised from birth to be a ruthless warrior. He is arrogant, vain and so Extra. He’s been spilling blood since he was seven years old. He is a gifted cutthroat killer but he has such a Big Heart

He cares deeply for people and wants to protec his family and friends. But he will also push people to the breaking point if he thinks he needs to. He can get down right sadistic if he has to 

He is considered a Prince of Assassins and has earned that title as much as he was born to it. The people of the glass desert instantly know who he is when he walks into the room and he is given a wide berth. He is both respected and feared. His rep is notorious

He and Weylin butt heads a Lot. They also have a habit of saving each other too. they meet bec he saves Weylins life- and then he had to decide whether to turn Weylin over to his uncle or to let him Go

They go across the desert for days and Zied Knows there is something bothering Weylin and he goads him, or rather Weylin lets him goad him into a fight and he ends up pinning Weylin into the sand with a knife at his throat which just turns Weylin on tbfh

Zied is a very affectionate and loving person, and he would love to show Weylin, but Weylin is very discrete as well as trying to stop any and all advances. he Knows he has to marry, and he knows he has to continue his line and he doesnt want to give anyone any ideas that would end with someone hurt

but y’know, shit happens, and he starts to really Care about Zied and he kisses him and they start to fuck around while at the same time Weylin is preparing to take back his throne. But he has every intention of leaving ZIed in the glass desert before he returns to Mohar

mmm,,, ok in Honorless, I am p sure that it is Weylin who makes the first move. He is in a foreign country surrounded by people he doesn’t know, most of whom are all killers, and Zied, tho he has no problem pushing lines, he will not cross this one, even if he is lusting after Weylin

But im the fanfic, it is Zied who makes the first move

2. The big spoon:

Zied!! He likes to wrap himself around Weylin and bury his face in Weylin’s neck

I think they’re both fairly jealous types, but Zied hides it better. Weylin is not good at schooling his face, his eyes tell Too Much

Nate definitely does. He gets sooo into Christmas and he gets him and Bay horrifying Christmas jumpers and cons Bay into wearing them with him. And Bay is glowering the entire time.

Zied does. Weylin doesnt mind wearing them, but he’d much rather not.

Neither. They’d both rather be stark naked.

Dacia does. But Biela lights hers on fire. She wouldn’t be caught dead in a Christmas jumper

Baylor and Nathaniel

They need each other. Sure, they want each other (or at least grows to) but they definitely need each other more. They are each other’s mirror as well as each other’s balance. They keep each in check and each other grounded. They understand each other- and each other’s trauma- better than just about anyone else. Nate looks at him and he sees the anger and hate that he has so carefully kept hidden, and Bay looks at Nate, and he sees light and goodness and the love that he had been denied for so long.

Weylin and Zied

I think with Weylin and Zied it is about drawn down the middle. Like Bay and Nate, Weylin and Zied are each other’s balance and mirror, but there is much want between them. But Weylin, who is the rightful king to his nation, will not give himself what his heart wants, as he was raised to give anything and everything to his people. And because he is the last of his line, he must marry and continue it. Even tho Weylin is a kinky lil bottom

Adrien and Dyaana

They definitely need each other. With them, they are in a special place that they understand each other perfectly. If Bay and Nate is opposites attract, Adrien and Dyaana is two sides of the same coin. Dyaana needs someone who understands every action she has done, every horrible thing she has done, and not judge her for it. And Adrien needs someone who trusts him enough to let him in, who won’t lie to him.

Asa and Loki

Mmmm. I wanna say it’s a bit drawn down the middle too, but this time, Asa doesn’t need Loki, but he does want him. He sees someone genuine and unapologetic in Loki and he wants that, he wants someone real. But Loki, Loki needs Asa. Asa reminds him he’s good, that he matters. Asa is the warmth and kindness that Loki has gone so long without.

Cameron and NIk

Cameron and NIk want each other. They do not need each other, as things could be much easier for them if they weren’t together and were just friends. But they are drawn to each other like magnets and a lot of their relationship starts out purely physical, but it grows into something sharper and stronger like unshatterable steel.

Dacia and BIela

I think it’s a bit split for them too. They don’t really need each other, but they also do. Biela is the reason Dacia comes into her crown, and owns who she is; claws and all. Dacia to Biela is softness and warmth. She’s a light that keeps back nightmares. But they also want each other (or at least will). Some primal part of them have wanted each other from the beginning, and without hesitation can put their back to each other without worry of betrayal. Even when BIela is a prisoner in Dacia’s kingdom, there is a level of trust where they know they are safe with each other, even if they do not understand it.
