#i know ive been joking abt girlbossing shiv style but now that its official i can say it #ive been playing a game of succession in a fairly large company for the last year and today it paid off #im officially promoted to general manager im going to be made salary and im getting put into the 30 yr business plan #its fucking huge. they want me to be there for the rest of my life. and i'll fucking do it!!!#my sibling is also getting promoted to assistant manager and i get to be the sole hiring manager from now on #not only is this now gonna be my shop but i get to decide the fucking. menu. the seating arrangements. pictures on the walls #theyre. fucking handing me this. and i knew they would for months i knew i just needed to bide my time and they would pick me and they DID #ON MY WIFES BIRTHDAY NO LESS. GOING OUT FOR THE BIGGEST CELEBRATORY DINNER EVER!!!!!!!!!!#its one thing to have like. your career handed to you but also like. saibh (my sibling) too #now i know theyll be taken care of. and they're already working on totally revamping our menu and theyre really really good with coffee #and im really good with operations and management and being big and strong (RLY HELPS IN A COFFEE SHOP.) so its just like #we complete each other. which is also what weve been doing our whole lives. now we get to do it at a cafe that will be entirely in our hands #its such a fucking blessing im very excited IM A LITTLE SCARED. did i ever say i shouldn’t have to pay for it? no, i said it’s disappointing that i would now have to after years of it being free. it would be easier to take if they were completely changing and upgrading their shows or established that the stream wouldn’t just have their current shows and maybe discontinued ones, that it would be different from their youtube channel and worth the sudden charge, but it’s hard not to feel like they’re throwing their audience under the bus
