Im curious, as someone who monster woman oc's, i gotta ask,

What would monster versions of your oc's would look like ?

i LOVE!!!!!!! weird monster Guys (gender inclusive) but am not necessarily the best at translating to Designs and Ideas For Designs so to answer this i assembled The High Council Of Monster Lovers (read: my friends jay and jake who are So damn smart and wise) and they gave me permission to share their thoughts. jay also did some Fucking Killer Original Designs as he is wont to do and That i will leave to his discretion to post or not but i Did get permission to share the discussion points from The Council

for buck: ideas included some manner of amalgamation type creature or Construct. elemental themes of rock and ice. dragon was proposed, specifically something "barroth-esque", with some kind of visible damage such as a docked tail or cut-off wings - some outer part of him torn off despite heavy armor. minotaur was proposed as a more "traditional" type of monster, both for the themes of monster of circumstance/monster as victim/monster as cursed and spurned by his own family, but also more importantly Fat Milkers Titty Joke.

for davey: cyborg was discussed right off the cuff as an easy answer, so naturally we decided to focus more on the deeper cuts. siren was a big agreed upon point, specifically something with influence from creatures like dolphins or sea lions - animals with a public perception of being friendly and cuddly and carefree, but that are, at their hearts, Large Carnivores. alternatively, influence of deep sea animals or gulper eels - something strong with bright, hypnotizing eyes. water as an elemental theme generally came through strong as a concept for him.

for minnie: Armored Creature of Some Kind was the prevailing theme. construct, amalgamation, what have you. themes drawn from hermit crabs, something carrying a heavy armor but also at constant risk of outgrowing it, themes of Growing Wrong. some kind of protective "false face" got brought up too. medusa was brought up as a more "traditional" monster type, for reason of "just vibes".

What people and pieces of media have inspired both your's and Frankie's style of writing? (this can be anything, from your stream tittle cards to the general ways you express yourselfs trough the magic of words)

As a beguining writer, im still trying to find my own ground, figuring out the ways of how to express myself and trying to make the story's i wanna make, not worrying to much about quallity, and i was just curious since i admire the you guy's showmanship and ability to bring people in by your sheer interest and love for art

Shucks! That's real sweet of you to say- for me I think reading The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy at a young age ruined me forever. Otherwise I think it's just being terminally online. RPing and talking w Frankie has made me a better more thoughtful writer and talker, tho I still have a long way to go lol.

Lemme ask Frankie, he's the one who actually writes the title cards/golives/ REALLY GOOD FICS/ etc.

' This is a tricky question! What i take inspiration from isn't exactly what I have on my mind directly when I write, but I think it probably still comes through. Harpo Speaks has such a direct personal voice- when I'm just writing funny paragraphs, I'm def very much In my Specific Tone. As in literally how i sound when I'm speaking.

I also think Ursula Vernon- aka T. Kingfisher- is a good person to point to if you like the way I write stuff for Golives. The bit for pokemon where I mimic in-world nonfiction writing from school notifications and things. That's definitely from how much I love her weird in universe history or product descriptions or postcard scribblings she did under her paintings.

Oddly I recommend her podcast for those- The Hidden Almanac- more then her books but those are also excellent.

Otherwise I would say what always works for me is chasing precisely what I like to do in writing. Not in terms of subject matter, but what I think is fun. I like laying out information about a subject. I like character dialogue and internality. I like trying to describe body language.

So I guess get insane about a subject. Same advice as art, really. And quit typing if your hand gets a cramp and REALLY quit typing if your hand gets a tingly feelin.' ' - @friendlyfrankenstein

Seconding the hand thing. Same goes for art! Rest or your body will MAKE you rest.

Im once again here in your askbox just to say how fun you and frankie's playtrough of shipwrecked 64 was, everything i said in the comment section of last vod uppload of the game holds true, you guys made me think about this game in my own way that made me love it even more, please keep doing what you do! ( i now have a craving for horror games that also make me sad (positive) )

Thank you very much! That's very sweet of you- I'm still thinking about SW64 so, so much. We're not done yet- just some of the stuff Puzz has mentioned is very tantalizing. If you like horror games that make you sad, I think you'd get a big kick out of the stories of the first three silent hill games, particularly 2.

in the Hot As Fuck Way? Heavy by a landside for Davey (Engineer gets an honorary mention). Buck it's Demoman purely for looks and Pyro or Engineer for personality
