Sinister System terminology, differences in fronting vs shifts

Some people seemed interested in our internal experience, so I've written up a little bit of a guide to help it make sense.

system member: a distinct person/soul who is one of many sharing this body.

kintype: the identity of a soul during a particular lifetime experience.

kin source: the media in which a kin life/kintype is reflected.

kin shift: a particular system member experiencing a greater psychological, emotional, and/or spiritual state where they are embodying a particular kintype in the present moment. A sort of psychological/emotional/spiritual regression to or manifestation of a specific kintype's traits and experiences.

collective shift: when several different system members are experiencing a kin shift to their various personal identities during the same source lifetime.

fronting/taking the front/switching: A particular system member takes control of the body. A fronting member experiences the direct sensory input from the body, has a distinct internal monologue which is 'louder' than the internal thoughts of members who are not fronting, has primary control over the actions and reactions of the body.

Sinister system:

Has roughly 25 distinct system members

Each system member has around 19 kintypes in addition to their overall personal singular identity.

A system member may be experiencing a particular kin shift at any given time. Often multiple system members are in a collective shift.

Let's walk through some abbreviated examples.

Some sinister system members are

Each of these system members shares the same kin sources. They experienced several lifetimes in which they were born and interacted with separate identities in the same world.

Some of their kin sources are: Homestuck, Danganronpa, Resident Evil, and Great Ace Attorney.

That means that each distinct system member has a kintype that aligns with each source.

😼🔪 Jas' kintypes are: Vriska Serket (Homestuck), Toko Fukawa (Danganronpa), Karl Heisenberg (Resident Evil) and Yuujin Mikotoba (Great Ace Attorney)

🌀😎 (Akechi)'s kintypes are: Cronus Ampora (Homestuck), Nagito Komaeda (Danganronpa), Albert Wesker (Resident Evil), and Kazuma Asogi (Great Ace Attorney)

🔍⚔️ (Kirigiri)'s kintypes are: Dave Strider (Homestuck), Kyoko Kirigiri (Danganronpa), Tyler Howard (Resident Evil), and Barok Van Zieks (Great Ace Attorney).

When 🔍⚔️ (Kirigiri) is fronting, that means that 🔍⚔️ is the person primarily processing data from the body's senses, making decisions, acting using the body, and experiencing a loud inner monologue.

When 🔍⚔️ (Kirigiri) is fronting, 🔍⚔️ is still Dave Strider, Kyoko Kirigiri, Tyler Howard, and Barok Van Zieks all at once, because these are all lives that 🔍⚔️ has experienced. He has access to the emotions and memories relevant to all of his kintypes, and they all motivate him to a greater or lesser degree.

However, if/when 🔍⚔️ is experiencing a particular kin shift, then the experiences, emotions and memories relevant to that particular shift will be dominate over his other experiences while he's experiencing the shift.

So for example, in a Homestuck kin shift 🔍⚔️ will act more like Dave Strider, because his thoughts, memories, emotions and preferences will be more closely aligned with who he was during that time, and the experience of his other lives will still be present, but have less priority over his actions and thoughts. His experience as Dave will have more immediate relevance to whatever he's doing, and will be experienced more heavily and as if it were more current than his other lives.

If the system is in a collective Homestuck shift, then it means that 🔍⚔️is in a Dave shift, 🌀😎 is in a Cronus shift, and 😼🔪 is in a Vriska shift, all at the same time. The lifetime of Homestuck is most immediately relevant to the entire system if we're experiencing a collective Homestuck shift.

However, not everyone is always in a collective shift. There are times where 🔍⚔️ is in a Dave/Homestuck shift, but 😼🔪 is in a Toko/Danganronpa shift, etc.

We are open to answering any questions, clarifying or otherwise that people might have about our experiences.

Yammering: thinking about that post pointing out how the Felt Manor map was lifted from Resident Evil and wondering if there's anything to do with that. Was the name Itchy for the first member of the Felt not just pun on the Japanese number 1 "ichi", but also a reference to the zombie phrase "itchy, tasty"? Apparently one of the games featured an RNA virus called Uroboros that was supposed to advance a eugenic project, advancing compatible humans unto a Master Race (and killing the rest) -- is that why the Auryn in the trickster lollipop creates a viral whiteness? Is that why the serpentine Cherubim have RNA's Uracil in their chathandles instead of GCAT? Is Dave straight up /supposed/ to look like Wesker?

The first game's on sale for 5 bucks so I might pick it up if only to ground my expectations.

RESIDENT EVIL → THE WESKER FAMILY

To the public, little is known of the families behind some of the world’s most renowned bioterrorists, but the question remains: did they play a role in causing their children to walk down the path that they did? Or are these individuals simply ambitious criminals with delusions of grandeur?

For Diana Wesker (née Afanasyeva), her introduction into the bioweapons black market trade was upon discovering her employers were using her research into limb regeneration with salamanders to further their experiments in creating enhanced soldiers, instead of developing human therapies with which she was recruited for. Although the prospect of using biological weapons in the military did not appeal to her, the concept remained fascinating for her own selfish endeavours. Born on the 27th of October, 1963 in Sydney, Australia to Russian immigrant parents, Diana had harsh expectations placed upon her at a young age, ones that no matter how hard she tried she could never live up to. Her mother, Tatyana, was an unfeeling woman, absent for long stretches of time with little regard to how it affected her daughters, much more concerned with her craft as an accomplished opera singer. Viktor was no better. A strict man whose role as father and ballet master blurred, he pushed his girls to one day follow in his footsteps. Whilst Sofia enjoyed ballet, and went on to become a professional ballet dancer, Diana’s heart was set on going into the field of biology. She wished to make a name for herself, separate from her family – to which she succeeded.

Diana was married to former U.S. Marine, Dave Monroe, for only a year until he was declared dead in 1992 after succumbing to injuries sustained in a horrific car accident. Foul play was ruled out while Diana played the role of the grief-stricken widow, but in reality, she had snapped after years of mistreatment at her husband’s hands, and opted for something she could pass off as an accident to be free of him. For years she believed he was dead – and he was, legally – but that proved to not be the case when he found his way back into her life again in 1999. Unbeknownst to her, she had been lied to by the police and coroner, who were paid off by her employers when they took Dave’s body for themselves and used him as one of their first test subjects in developing supersoldiers. Before he could ever hurt her again, Diana’s second husband, Albert Wesker, tracked the man down, captured him and tortured him, before allowing Diana to get her violent and bloody revenge.

The origins of Albert Wesker’s involvement in bioterrorism, alongside his twin sister, Alex, are much different than that of Diana’s. The two hail from London, Canada, but unfortunately, they hold no memories of their lives there, nor what happened to their biological parents when they were eight years old. Agents of Oswell E. Spencer, an aristocratic billionaire and eugenicist, took the twins from their home and executed their parents as per Spencer’s orders. Albert and Alex were then placed in a home funded by the Spencer Foundation where they were given new names and a privileged upbringing. They had access to the best education possible, free to pursue whichever field they decided, but it was by no accident they both went into virology and bioengineering; at home, their adoptive parents – agents whom they believed to be their real parents – instilled them with the beliefs of Oswell E. Spencer, harbouring disdain for war and pestilence, and believing humans to be an evolutionary dead-end in need of a rebirth. They were only two of the hundreds of children “adopted” as part of what is known as Project W, a plan intended to develop an advanced race of human beings. The most promising candidates were headhunted by Umbrella Pharmaceuticals, the twins amongst them, where they went on to create bioweapons for the company founded by none other than the man who had handpicked them for his plan. The final stage of this was to infect the thirteen Spencer saw fit, however, only two survived; Albert received the intended effects, now possessing superhuman abilities, however, Alex was only offered more time to live due to her terminal degenerative illness.

In the summer of 1995, Diana was working undercover within Umbrella to gather development data on their projects for her company. Here, she had a chance encounter with Albert, an intelligence officer at the time, which permanently altered the course of her life. The two were never seen far from one another’s side, marrying in 1998, and they went on to become notorious in the bioweapons industry. The development of the Uroboros virus was where things took a turn for the worst. Although Diana’s infection was successful and she bore abilities that rivalled her husband’s, the plan itself did not succeed as they had hoped, and almost cost Albert his life at the hands of his former subordinates.

Now, they work within the shadows, with Diana declared missing and Albert believed to be dead. Their legacy, however, lives on with the mark they left on the world. As visionaries in their field, they influenced bioterror attacks carried out by countless individuals and organisations. In turn, they also inspired others to fight against such atrocities. One such person happens to be Albert’s son from a former relationship, Jake Müller, whose existence he was unaware of.

NOT WELL Nikita wasnt informed of the plan between Birkin and Wesker because Albert knew Nikita cared deeply about the S.T.A.R.S. so if Nikita was informed, he could be heartbroken and beg Wesker not to go through. so Albert thought it was better to send Nikita with Team Bravo (despite the fact he wasnt suppose to go) and leave him for dead once he got attacked:D ....needless to say Nikita was hella upset when this took place

Well, okay, we do have a relatively close-knit little group with Natasha, Aruna, and William. These three work together pretty and are good friends with each other. They will probably just stick together, with Aruna leading all the talking. She's the extrovert of the trio!

Then we have the more complicated ones... While Chaewon has little to no reason to distance herself, she's... kind of bad at socializing. Okay, she's very bad at it. Her looking angry all the time doesn't help her image either, but it's her neutral face! Alas, she's kind of cursed to being the loner of the group. Not to mention her and Natasha being a tad awkward around each other due to their status as ex's. William being there will just solidify this, as she does not like the guy, while he's full-on scared of her. She'll probably end up just sticking to a quiet corner and glaring at everyone else. Well. That's what it looks like. She's not actually mad. Having a resting bitch face sucks. Poor Chaewon.

I kinda feel bad for Dave here because William does not like him one bit, and they usually make a conscious effort to not bump into each other. Being locked in a room means Dave awkwardly trying to either keep his distance or lighten the mood with a bad joke. And with how petty William is, this could quickly turn into an argument and even a one-sided fight. William is not a violent man, but he cares deeply for those he loves, and he'll never forgive Dave for his involvement with Jill's brainwashing, however small or big it was. Dave standing there, joking around would just set him off, I fear. Though, Dave himself means no harm, and despite being way taller than William, he wouldn't fight back or argue. Hell, he'll even take a punch if it comes to it. I would say that Aruna would mitigate the whole thing, but William is also pretty upset with his sister for forgiving Dave the way she did. It's an issue they never actually worked through, so... Maybe some good will come out of it? Hurt/comfort? More likely than you'd think.

So, that leaves us with Wendy. She has little to no connection to anyone here, except for Dave. But they've barely interacted after the whole 'Wendy betraying Wesker' debacle. She's not socially awkward like Chaewon is, she simply prefers not to interact with those she has no interest in. That said, being locked in with two BSAA agents is...... not good, actually. She'd be on high alert and keeping a steady hand on one of her combat knives for sure. But hey, maybe her and Dave could reconnect! To the displeasure of William.

Honestly, it looks like William gets the absolute worst experience here, poor guy

hello i have read the one-issue 13 page prologue comic to resident evil in my quest to review different iterations of capn wesker.

heres the re wiki page for the comic its kinda barren but tbf what else would they say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also i am legally obligated to inform you all that you definitely 100% Cannot go to "read comic online . li" to read this for free okay?

anyway story is unnoteworthy (thats not me being mean! its not bad!! i just have nothing to say) but i did learn jill valentine is a demolitions expert! (i dont know if that was mentioned in any of the games but its possible and tbh pretty likely it Was mentioned i just didnt see / register it 💔)

kinda sad the cover artist (bill sienkiewicz) didnt do the art for the actual comic :( im very sorry to dave johnson but im not crazy about the style...... (to be fair a lot of marvel / dc (ect.) comics' styles are hit or miss for me but this one is definitely more on the miss side of things 😭) the cover art has a very 90s fps game box art feel to it. i dont know art terms

but ya i like some of the panels in this more than others!!! generally i think the ones from further away look better (to me at least) like this one ↑ is pretty nice i love the colors thank you moose baumann.... the bright red phone & a similar orangey color for his glasses but also the very stark contrast between the light & shadows in the shot but on the blinds especially..... idk i like it :)

sadly in contrast i do not like this next example thar much. hes got a comically manly kinda look to him, which i know is just pretty standard for marvel comics & shit, but i dont have to like it </3

this one i feel a liiiiiiittle bit similarly about the close-up i just used but i like it a lot more its closer to the first panel to me. i dont know why im reviewing(???) this in the least articulate way possible im writing this pretty soon before i fall asleep which is probably the reason for that actually. Anyway

this one i actuqlly like quite a bit esp. the left one! nothing much to say for this one but barry looks silly here

he just looks like that one duke nukem picture here thats all i can think of 😭

ok i do actually have smth to say here :) i really really really like the use of his silhouette with just the sunglasses in color i know thats not an insane concept but i do just really like it here it fits him very well i think. i know oftentimes if artists do this the glasses / sunglasses will be white with the rest of the silhouette being just black but the orangey-red looks nice!!!

i think i sound like im trying to drag this out im sorry i do gwnuinely have things 2 say i am just So bad at wording shit sorry 🙏🙏🙏

ok last wesker example picture. rhis is probably my least favorite i dislike it he looks.
