Claire has gone through so much shit and she was only 15 when her parents died in a car accident so her brother kind of raised her, after all of that at the age of nineteen she went through so much in Raccoon City trying to find her brother. No idea how she made it out alive but she did. Then after that she went to keep on looking for her brother, got thrown into more Umbrella shit even got her ass kicked by Wesker because she is related to Chris, lost a friend that she made there. Even dropped out of college because she was getting behind on things with everything she had going on. Claire had been going to a therapist for a while now. It was needed to somehow get closure of things.

It was another day that she had a therapy session, luckily she gets along with her therapist which is always a nice thing to have. Sitting on a couch as she was looking around in the room where she has been plenty of times. Looking at Sloane as it has been quiet for some minutes. "I'm thinking of maybe going back to college. I just don't know if I actually should do it." Claire then admitted. She would love to, then again last time she went to college she dropped out as she missed out on a lot of stuff.

"What if I miss out on a lot again and have to drop out again. Not that I can disappoint my parents because they're dead." The dark humour at times comes out to play with the death parents situation. Her life was far from easy.

It felt like coping with dark humour was better, it's kind of how she is or started to be. she never used dark humour before and somehow it ended up being there. The going back to college was high on her list and not sure if she wanted to keep studying what she did before. "What if I don't know what I want to do in the future?" Claire felt like she has been targeted because of the whole Raccoon City and it probably doesn't help either that she's Chris his little sister. Findeling with her fingers while looking down at her shoes before looking back up to look at Sloane. "Setting goals? No, I haven't. My goal used to be finding Chris and ever since that was the case I haven't really set any other goals."

Adjusting her ponytail as she leaned more back onto the chair that she was sitting on. Still playing with her fingers, tapping her feet on the floor. honestly she never really thought of going to community college. She would love to get her bachelor's degree for journalism maybe even literature. She did journalism before she dropped out of college and she was doing so well.

"You think, it would be a good idea to go back to college and to start of at a community college? Because I want to get a degree I really do. Or finish what I was doing." Living in New york at an apartment with her brother although chris was never home so it was more her place. Chris just pays for the rent that she didn't had to worry about. Looking around in the room as she was thinking on what else to talk about or what else to say to her. "Is it weird to be scared of losing Chris?" She suddenly asked, she never even realised this or thought about it. The work chris does makes her wonder that if she would ever get the call telling her that Chris died.

Yes she is scared of losing him that would mean that she is all alone as she has no family besides her brother. To be fair she doesn't really have many friends either, besides Leon. Who she hasn't seen since they both escaped Raccoon City.

Letting out a sigh, there was just a lot that she had going on and she wished she had a normal life, which she doesn't. She was absolutely aware of that. Not after the whole being beating up by Wesker and then knowing that she is also on a target list. It was not the life she thought she would have, here she is.

Claire Redfield happened to be one of Sloane's favorite patient, she was fun to analyze and break down. If Claire could compare her, she'd be like a giant ball of various shades of red yarn. So much trauma, so much pain, things like that kept Sloane in business ( after all; she paid a shit ton for her school after her parents cut her off - for reasons she'd keep to herself for now ). Added bonus, Claire had an overall amusing personality that Sloane herself often gravitated to. If she wasn't a patient, Sloane would have made her a friend already and they could have painted the town red together.

Like most sessions, it began with moments of silence. However, Sloane wasn't the type to stare down her patients until they spoke, she often took time to refresh her memory on what was previously discussed. At this point, she was well knowledgeable of the Umbrella Corporation, some giant dude in a trench coat who never blinked, zombies, a corrupt cop, and a little girl who lost both her parents to a virus that caused everything to happen in the first place. Oh, can't forget the Lickers. Did Sloane want to know what a licker was? Hell no, ignorance was bliss and she felt as if she was there, she wouldn't survive.

Clicking her pen a few times out of habit, Claire finally spoke causing Sloane's head to lift up and meet her gaze. I'm thinking of maybe going back to college. A gentle smile spread on her features before slowly fading. Dr. Mode time.

Putting her notebook to the side, she began to listen further. Sloane recognized the hesitation and couldn't blame her. After, what she called, The Raccoon City Incident and The Wesker Incident ( what kind of fucking name was Albert Wesker, the guy sounded like he got shoved in lockers in high school ), going back to college felt like a luxury. Once your perfect reality was shattered by things beyond your mental comprehension. Little things like college felt like something wasn't obtainable.

Hearing the comment about her parents, Sloane couldn't help but playfully roll her eyes. " Now, Claire, what did we say about using dark humor to cope? " Sloane replied with a gentle chuckle. Dark humor was better than turning to substances but still, it was good to practice healthy coping mechanisms when trying to get back to a relevantly normal world again. " As for your concerns, your circumstances were incredibly rare and unique. Based on what you told me, you're a pretty kick-ass woman. If a simple college student can go head to head with a giant monster more than once, I say you can handle college classes. " Sloane began to say, finally beginning her pep talk, reassurance, and direction methods.

" However, if missing classes are a major concern for you, I'd suggest community college first. The environments are pretty relaxed, the professors are more understanding since the classes are small, if you get your transcripts from your previous college and bring them to the local college then you might not have to retake classes and could get back on track. " Sloane began to say as she talked with her hands. " Then, once you achieve your associate's degree, which I know you will, then you can move on to a bachelor's degree. By then you'll have an idea of what you want to do further. Continue classes to get a high degree or start a career. " there's a brief pause. " Have you tried setting goals? If you have what are they? "
