bit from the Halloween issue of the MASKS game I'm running. they were both dressed up as Ghostface but I didn't feel like drawing the mask even though it was the whole point!! the delinquent (westley) got buried in a coffin for a halloween game called Coffin King, but the jocks left him in there, then the nerd/doomed (adrian) went through a teleportation portal by accident and ended up trapped in the coffin with him, so we ended up with two ghostfaces in a coffin. BUT I DON'T WANNA DRAW THE GHOSTFACE MASKS!!

I love Canon Remus and all of his flaws. Enough of this "Casanova of Gryffindor Tower" BS, Remus is the cowardly lion of Gryffindor tower. He values bravery because it is something that he lacks and yet still strives to be. He has an ingrained sense of shame and self-loathing and an inferiority complex that stems from society's contempt and marginalization towards Lycanthropy, a condition he was cursed with from a very young age. He wasn't a leader, he was a follower. A blind follower who believed to his core that he was unworthy of love and respect because of what he was.

Which opens the door to what I believe to be Remus' greatest flaw: His unwavering, unquestioning devotion to Albus Dumbledore.

I think Remus saw Dumbledore as the perfect encapsulation of Good. He was everything that Remus desperately wanted to be, everything that society was determined to believe a werewolf could never be. And maybe, if Remus could earn (and cling to) Dumbledore's favor and make him proud, he would prove to the world and himself that he is Good, too, in spite of his lifelong curse.

Remus felt that he owed Dumbledore a debt he could never hope to repay for allowing this chronically ill little boy into his school when no werewolf before him had ever been given such an opportunity. So many of Remus' choices in canon stem directly from this imagined debt that he had dedicated his life to paying. Hell, he didn't even hold a grudge against Snape for OUTING HIM to the entire wizarding world simply because Dumbledore trusted him.

Remus trusted Dumbledore wholeheartedly. And Dumbledore personally saw to Harry's placement with the Dursleys. Why should Remus have considered, for even a moment, that Harry wasn't safe? Certainly far safer than he would have been with a monster in close proximity, as Remus believed himself to be. In his mind, staying away from Harry was what was best for Harry. Until Dumbledore needed a favor, that is.

It's reductive to suggest that Remus failed Harry (and by extension, James) for putting his trust in Dumbledore to do right by Harry. James and Sirius trusted Dumbledore, too. They all did. Stripping away all of the nuance and blaming the abuse Harry suffered on Remus is simply unfair. NO ONE helped Harry, not even those who were fully equipped to do so, and Remus was the farthest thing from being equipped to take that on, what with being an impoverished werewolf living in a society that reviles his very existence. The only person who could have saved Harry from the abuse was the very man that placed him in that home, the very man that Remus revered with blind conviction.

Werewolf Stan's Reaction to the Twins Showing Up Was Actually Pretty Aggressive

For whatever reason in this AU I've decided Dipper and Mabel's parents never told Stan the kids were being sent to Gravity Falls. So essentially Stan and Fidds are chilling one day when suddenly two small humans appear at their doorstep.

Dipper: *Knocks on the Door*

Fidds, quietly: What in Heaven's Name?

Stan, growling: Intruders. Don't worry, I'll eat 'em.

Fidds: Stanley, no! Ya can't eat strangers!

Stan: Why not?

Fidds: Well, for one thing they were polite enough t' knock. Secondly, someone might make a missin' persons report and we'd be in bigger trouble than we already are.

Stan: *Sighs Dramatically* Fine, open the door.

Fidds: Why me?

Stan: *Gestures to His Ears and Moves His Tail Around*

Fidds: Ah, right. Well then, I'll let 'em know that we ain't too keen on visitors. *Makes His Way to the Door* Um, pardon our silence, but we really ain't lookin' to welcome any visitors at the moment!

Dipper: What? Isn't this Stanford Pines' place?

Fidds, slightly shocked: W-well, yes? How d'ya know that?

Mabel: We're his great niece and nephew! Our parents sent us here for the summer!

Fidds: *Nervously Looks Back at Stan*

Stan, dead serious: I'm gonna tear them to shreds.

Fidds: No! *Faces the Door Again* Could ya give us a moment? We need t'... uh... prepare the shack!

Dipper: For what? We aren't moving in. Permanently, anyway. Just let us in, it's hot out!

Fidds, under his breath: Oh, dear...

Stan, with a hungry snarl: Alright, come on in if ya want, but I gotta warn ya that ya might not like what ya see!

Dipper: As long as you aren't doing anything illegal, I'm sure we'll be fine.

Fidds then proceeded to let Dipper and Mabel in, smiling awkwardly and completely unsurprised when they screamed.

Stan laughed at their reactions and spent the next three days terrorizing them before finally deciding to try and "bond" with them, via Fidds' adamant request.

Two days after that, Stan and Fidds fucked up with the portal and added two werewolf puppies to their weird family.

you're easy on the eyes, pretty compliant looking and he's sure he has overheard you discuss with friends that you find the whole 'vampire scene' to be hot. easy prey, he thinks. and as a bonus, it'll be his stupid form of get back. him and you have never been on good terms and he just cannot wait to see the expression on your face when you realize the alluring, charming vampire that has approached you turns out to be the guy you've been looking down at and calling an idiot this whole time.

what he didn't account for- is that your approach from start to finish is too fishy... is that vampire fantasy perhaps not just a fantasy but an experience already? how come you seem to be one step ahead of him, what's with the gradual change in your demeanor that he otherwise wouldn't have noticed were he not looking forward to your absolute surprise-

until he realizes a little too late that the hunter has been the prey this whole time. sure, there were rumors of older vampires around, not just by years but experience too, master of some of the vampiric crafts or just the life of the night- nothing but pure, filthy, demonic blood coursing through their veins unless currently feeding on their latest course.

I was wondering, does Fiddleford still have a wife in your Halloween au? And if yes, does she know about him being a vampire?

I've been sitting on this ask for a bit, but I think I should finally answer.

In my AU, Fidds is actually pretty old-- not like ancient or anything, but surely a few centuries?

Anyway, so way back, when he was human, he did have a wife and a kid!! But when he got bit and became a vampire, he actually outlived them :(

He tries to think about them often, but it's definitely one of the things he chooses to erase when he creates the memory gun
