Watching WWBN in color added so much perspective to it tbh. I'm glad they decided to do a black and white and a color version- it's very much a treat, these days, for a studio to do such a thing.

Also, I totally didn't see the "this end up" on the fake casket until this rewatch, so that's a neat thing to notice Lmao. A touch of modern in something that feels almost medieval.

Note: Elsa did not join the chant before the hunt. Interesting- but not unsurprising.

Huh, the garden maze is multi-colored. Guess Elsa wearing a red jacket wasn't such a bad idea after all.

The crypt is beautiful.

I never did notice the small cut on Elsa's forehead in the black and white version.

The one guy's scar is gold 👀

This made me appreciate the black and white so much more.

Don't take it the wrong way, I LOVE THE COLOR. But it really does take away the homage feel without the black and white... At least for me.

I still love both versions though.
