Ok but like why does the idea of Human Nidere Hunting them sounds so good actually???

Like I can see it in my brain all of them as werewolves being hunted by some crazy hunter guy slash horror style.

I imagine that werevolves would have to be less powerful though or some random human guy wouldn't be very threatening, more like human that can turn into wolves with some bonus.

Also Nidere having a more sinister goal other than "hunt cause werewolve bad" like idk, maybe idk...werewolf meat tastes wonderfull.

Like I can picture in my brain

a scene of the cast hiding in a bloody kitchen, everybody is tense and in silence while all they can hear is something being dragged to the kitchen.

The steps keep getting louder and louder until the hunter reaches the kitchen dragging Lucie's body ready to prepare a meal.

The one thing I always enjoy with vampire-related media is how every author’s ideas of vampires/werewolves/whatever is different. So, I’m wondering, what are your vampires/werevolves/witches like?

(eg. questions like: Do they have certain stereotypes, do they not have other stereotypes? How do they age? Do vampire’s fangs elongated on just the top, or both top and bottom, perhaps all teeth sharpen and elongate? Do werewolve’s teeth elongate? Is it painful for a werewolf to transform, can they control it?)

Alright, so for simplicity's sake, I'm gonna break this down into three parts. One on vampires, one on witches, and one on werewolves.

Under the cut for length.

Vampires:

Alright, so vampires have a lot of similarities to their origins:

They can't eat garlic (it's not just ciero this time!) or be around garlic flowers.

They cannot be in pure sunlight for too long.

They cannot cross any running bodies of water.

However, in this Canon, they can be outside in the day, it just weakens their abilities and makes them uncomfortable instead of just outright killing them.

Vampire abilities tend to first manifest during youth/early days of vampiracy and are honed/developed over time. Such as turning into bats, enhanced senses, or scaling walls.

Additionally, on occasion, a vampire can pick up abilities that are a bit more specialised/unique. For example, Ciero, Favio, and Zephyr all have a mild form of telekinesis. Or, Octavian can turn into a wolf (genuine vampire ability).

Dhampirs sadly lack these traits.

The teeth extention tends to vary based on vampire to vampire, it is hardly consistent outside of being an elongation of canines.

Vampires age slowly, with the Windroe siblings all looking several years younger than they actually are, and Elspeth looking a solid decade younger. Additionally, their lifespans tend to last several centuries if not interrupted (Dhampirs live shorter lives, but not by much)

Witches:

To put it simply, a witch is anyone that can use any kind of magic. In the context of this blog, Tim has some vague green fire magic. When he was little, he was saved from a burning building by his adoptive mother, and was basically raised around magic/demons and stuff (he's a fancy rich boy in this au).

Witches age slightly slower than regular people, but usually not living more than twenty years or so longer.

Werewolves:

Essentially, werewolves can shift into a more canid form at will most of the time. And usually it varies from family to family or even person to person. It doesn't have to be a dog specifically, but it usually is. And they are typically about the size of a horse when they do transform - making them larger than what their breed would usually be.

An additional piece of lore that I have down is that, about 0.5 percent of all werewolves in North America are descendants of the mythical Navajo spirit Coyote, hence why they can transform.

Also, yes, it does hurt to transform at the full moon into their more monstrous form. Their teeth do change into more canid ones when they shift. And yes, they have the weakness to silver.

They age about the same as humans.

Thank you for participating and yay for writing for me! I’ve always been super excited about every gift fic I have received, and I’m looking forward to the privilege of receiving the fic that you want to write.

That said, some guidelines on my preferences as a reader and some reasons why I chose the pairings in my request below.

I'm a Canes and Team Finland fan. That doesn't mean that I'd prefer you to write the Canes pairings or Finnish players in this exchange! Just a heads-up, when choosing side characters or secondary teams, please don't be too mean to my faves.

Likes: I like a mature, nuanced view on human nature, characters who have their flaws and shortcomings; characters with dubious morals but maybe sort of a good heart. I love good characterization and character dynamics, be it romance, porn or a gen fic studying personal development of an athlete in his sports career or group dynamics of a sports team.

As themes/tropes I like friends to lovers, fuckbuddies to lovers, enemies to lovers. I like my filth: scheming, pwp, Locker room gang bangs, Winner’s room. I love equal partners, but I also find status imbalances & age and size differences HOT.

Dislikes: a/b/o, mpreg, tentacles, body horror, gore, rule 63, suicide/self harm. I'm not into BDSM AU -- Dom/sub undertones, BDSM elements and kink in smut are very welcome but not the predestined dynamics universe stuff. I don’t want to see any mentions of Alexander Ovechkin. No slander of irl SO's or writing them as villains, but I’m OK with them existing in the story, even if it involves cheating the spouse with the ship partner. Fights aren't a huge turn-on for me.

If you're writing Finnish characters, please don't use google translated Finnish or phrases picked from a dictionary without consulting a native level speaker for beta help.

About AU:s: I like mundane, realistic AUs. I'm mostly into spy / politics / crime / war stories at the moment, and I like band AUs. No high fantasy, please. Some magical realism / supernatural elements are fine if they are what you like to write. Werevolves or vampires? Team vampires, definitely. (But you know what's WAY better: angels. I just might have a bit of a religious kink.)

Sebastian Aho (b. 1997)/Brent Burns: Sebastian expressed a strong interest to be invited to Burnzie's ranch, saying he's "into that kind of stuff" and he'd "grab his own backpack and go". I'd love a messy smut version of how it went down over there. Dom Brent please.

Sebastian Aho/Brent Burns/Jordan Staal: Bottom Sebastian getting it good from two large men. That's all. But, like, a plot-driven war or spy AU could work too.

South Park Vampire/Werevolve AU.

Short Explanation:

Vampires were humans who died. They have been changed before their heart stopped beating. They are incredibly fast and strong and each of them has a special ability. They can also see hear or smell much better than humans. They can only live from human or animal blood. Vampires who drink human blood are stronger and faster than those who drink animal blood. They cannot eat human food.

Werevolves:

Werevolves are still humans who have the ability to change into werevoles. Werevolves are incredibly fast and strong. Werevoles can read minds of another werevoles and have a better sense of smell than vampires. They can also eat human food which makes them easier to blend in with humans.

Both have stopped aging once they turned.

Now which character is a vampire and which are werevolves. This is based on how they behave.

Characters who get angry and get physical are werevolves. Characters who are more shut in with their anger are vampires.

People who have followed me for a while already know, but english isn't my first language. I wish I was confident enough to write in english but alas all the fics I've ever written are in italian :(

I haven't been able to complete a fic in months and now whenever I get an idea I usually make some art and post a rant here so at least I can get it out there.

I wrote a Twilight AU fanfic in 2020 (can't believe this is a sentence I'm typing) when I was unemployed, got a writer block that winter but I managed to finish the fic in 2021.

(I'm writing a summary under the cut in case you're curious abt the fic in question)

The story roughly follows the first Twilight volume: Hiccup is forced to get back to Forks to live with Stoick (he and Valka divorced, but return to friendly terms in the background as the story goes on) and starts a friendship with Astrid and the rest of the gang. Jack and the Guardians are all vampires and live together (North creates toys, Bunnymund opened a cafe, Toothiana goes to medical school and Sandy is usually away doing Something™). This year Jack decides to go to high school to get used to human contact since he's young and unexperienced. Toothiana joins him to jeep an eye on him.

Hiccup meets Jack, who also works part time at Bunnymund's cafe. Long story short they become friends and fall in love.

Jack's in danger though because the vampire (Pitch) who attacked him before North saved Jack by turning him into a vampire is back for revenge with the help of Eret.

Hiccup ofc wants to reason with them, gets kidnapped by Eret, fails to change Pitch's mind and the Guardians save the day. Hiccup loses a leg but The Evil is Defeated.

The idea might be silly and quite random but honestly I remember having a lot of fun writing it and coming up with plot points and character arcs. I scrapped the idea but the httyd gang was supposed to be a pack of werevolves at first! I ended up with a really interesting and natural arc for Snotlout (the scene where Hiccup gives him a privatemath lesson is one of my favourite), Astrid gets to be a badass, and each Guardian has their own human backstory! Every chapter is divided in two POVs, Hiccup's and Jack's, but one chapter is told by Astrid's and Eret's perspective.

When I reread it I notice the mistakes and wonky plot moments but I've become really attached to it! I even have notes for a sequel (starring Dagur and Heather as werevolves this time!)

I don't know if I have a favorite trope to write, I enjoy different things. I think anything that gives me an opportunity for hurt/comfort, fluff, angst and domesticity will be a good trope for me, haha. My to do list is actually so damn long, I can't even keep track of it anymore. There's a book AU, and another movie AU, and I've never written a soulmate AU before, but I'm looking forward to it. I really enjoyed writing the age difference in CS, so I would definitely write something including age gap again (though I prefer it when it's legal on both sides!).

I don't write supernatural stuff, like vampires or werevolves, or Hogwarts!Klaine. I'm not a fan of crossovers, I usually prefer things to stay in their own little universe.

I think Santana might be my favorite to write lately, aside from Blaine/Kurt/Cooper/Burt. She's so fun.

Born: May 26. 2001.

Turned: November 10. 2018.

Story: Kyle felt himself changing in the end of September. He got angry way more easily and also had a very high temperature. Around 50°C to 60°C.

On November 10. Kyle got so angry at Cartman for calling him a " dirty Jew" that he got transferred into a werevolve. Stan Kenny (who witness this), ran away in shock along with Cartman. Kenny being the unlucky one got wounded by Kyle. Kyle had to learn to control his ability because whenever he got severe angry he got turned into a werevolve.

On supernatural beings and menstruation: The first thing we have to be aware is that vampires and werewolves are not real, therefore we can invent anything and it's ok, we can play with what's known as much as we want, like from what we wrote the werevolves don't only transform on the full moon, the vampires probably won't die from sunlight, ect.. Whatever we say could be possible, and "it would be funny if" is a completely valid explanation, that said, it's also fun to try and explain logicaly
