Hey folks! Long time no see
How is everyone?
Tumblr media
Yep, I'm a bit grimy, and its been a while, only because I've been permanently attached to my owners purse. She carries me everywhere. I'm her lucky mascot!!!
Tumblr media
Still looking good huh?
Listen, I thought I'd make this announcement. It appears that we have new members to our plushie club and they're all wanting to say hi.
So I thought I'd share my space/blog/whatever this thing is, with them
Let's start with Angus - or little Moo. He is originally a doorstop but he's too cute to be stuck on the floor
His long fur tickles my nose hahaha
Tumblr media
Then there's the Charlie Bear clan. They're so snuggly but I've got to watch the dragon, as her sneezes are red hot and could melt my paintwork (I've got to ask Brains about that, see if he can come up with an indestructible paint!)
Tumblr media
Ohhhhhhh Beastie! He looks ferocious, but once I fed him some beast approved snacks, he's just a big softie. Look, he's sleeping in this pic
Tumblr media
And now the bunnies - and Kitty Cat, who I've had to separate, because in their tote bags, I can hear those two arguing. I wouldn't want to get between those two, I can tell you.
Left to right, Diabetic bunny forgot her name, wereVirgil (snort), Aquarius, again, forgot her name, its hard to remember everyone. And obviously, Kitty Cat
Tumblr media
Dragon Bun is so majestic - and protective. I could hide or snuggle under those ears when I'm in trouble. Tee hee. Me? Cause trouble? As if. Hahaha
Tumblr media
And the final 'promo shot', Rory, the newest bunny (Aurora bun), bottom, then Fawn. She's so sweet and apologises continuously even though she's never at fault. Left, Eppie, the founder of the bunny plushies, top and my favourite ... Strawbunny. Right. His original name was Ross, but he didn't like that so Storbie it is. He is my owners hubby's favourite
Tumblr media
A little birdie (my owner) tells me that there are two more arriving in the next couple of weeks
So stay tuned

Bedtime
It’s Fluffember! and almost a year since I posted my first fanfic!
Thanks to Whumptober, I’m not going to be able to complete this challenge (so worn) but I’m going to try do some (Aim of 4, one a week seems reasonable and more my pace). I’m setting myself the additional challenge of them being in the wereVirgil/transforming Tracy AU, because I’ve not written the AU for so long and it’s can be such a nice fluff AU.
So here is the first post. Starting at the start with Day 1 and some naughty young Tracy boys. Enjoy!
******
Bedtime followed a set routine for Tracy boys, except for that one night of the month. Virgil had no choice in the matter, he would change at the rising of the full moon and no one could tell the werewolf to go to bed. The moon gave him an unnatural energy that he just had to run off and on the few occasions his father had tried to confine him to his room, it had only resulted in furniture getting damaged and broken. Virgil's wolf instincts couldn't be swept under a rug because he was human most of the time.
So bedtime during the full moon was non-existent for Virgil, which was fantastic to a young boy. He did get some sleep during the night but he was always exhausted the next day. Some days it was so bad that Dad allowed him to stay home ‘sick’. His brothers weren't always understanding about it, complaining that they never get to stay at home when they are ‘sick’. Especially Gordon, the king of trying to get out of school. They were also disgruntled that their bedtime never changed on a full moon. They still had to go to bed at the right and proper times. Virgil had mixed feelings about it. He loved playing with his brothers in wolf form, but he had to be so careful not to hurt them. He was so much stronger than them and he'd injured Scott and John a few times when he'd gotten overexcited. He'd learnt to hold back his strength by the time Gordon was old enough to play with him.
Not that bedtime stopped his brothers from joining him during the full moon. They would be punished if caught, normally no dessert and early to bed the next night. Though Virgil was certain that Grandma and Dad let his brothers get away with it on some occasions, the creative escape plans being the most successful. Each brother developed their own full moon bedtime routine.
Scott had started as an escape artist, creeping down the stairs or climbing out the window to join Virgil. There had been a few scraped knees and bruises from failed footing but as long as he didn’t make too much noise when he landed, Scott was normally successful. Once Scott had mastered his own transformation, he would just fly out the window to join Virgil. A set of clothes was always hidden somewhere for Scott to pull on once free. The location of the clothes changed frequently once Gordon got wind of Scott's scheme. Their younger brother would take or hide the clothes so Scott would have to bare all if he wanted to spend time with the werewolf. As much as Virgil loved his elder brother, he preferred it when Scott wore clothes.
John was the smart one. He quickly moved on from sneaking out while Dad was distracted, and would instead set an alarm for the early hours when he knew the adults were fast asleep. He would often just spend the night sitting with Virgil, throwing a ball if required. John particularly liked to join Virgil on nights when astronomical events clashed with the full moon. Sometimes the telescope would come with him. Other times, like for the odd meteorite shower, John would just sit and watch with Virgil curled up around him. Virgil knew his body would keep his little brother warm, despite the chill that hung in the air at that time of night.
Gordon was the one who got caught the most, but then he was the one who snuck out the most. Gordon and Virgil had a special bond, probably stemming from Gordon’s love of animals and his boundless energy that made it seem like it could keep up with his werewolf brother. There was a whole box of balls and toys which they would play with together, though they would also roughhouse in the grass or hay. Despite his strength, Gordon had never received more than a few scratches, bruises and bumps during these play fights, and this was no worse than what Gordon gave himself on a daily basis. His brother’s laughter would ring out, and Virgil was always certain that Dad and Grandma could hear it, but they were never disturbed. When Gordon started doing his early morning swim training he stopped staying up late on the full moon, and would instead get up an hour or so early and hang out with Virgil beforehand. It became a routine and meant some moons he got to spend time with each one of his brothers.
Alan turned out to be extremely good at sneaking out, his small body and softer footsteps making it easy for him to pass unnoticed. He, like Scott, would stay up late and spend time with Virgil at the start of the night, which often meant Scott was also with them. Alan never seemed to mind that he ever got much alone time with the werewolf, though there were moons that Scott deliberately didn’t visit so they could be alone. Alan’s sneaking out became easier when he started transforming. Despite how disgruntled he was that he became a small dog, it meant he could easily slip out the house as long as he kept his claws from scratching the wooden floors. Virgil enjoyed the fact that Alan was a canine like him, Scott’s and John’s claws were sharp and Gordon preferred to be in water and wet fur wasn’t something Virgil found pleasant, but Alan could run beside him. Even if he was slower, they could still run through the vegetation quicker than they could as humans, their paws would pound the dirt as they raced about and there was something heart-warming about having a brother almost like himself. Curling up together was one of the most comfortable things, and Virgil loved it. Even if he often had to carry a tired Alan back to bed, because as much as his brothers pushed their bedtime, they just didn’t have the energy to stay up like he did.

An empty blog
::wails cos I haven’t got anything to post to my blog::
Two reasons:
1. My computer has recently scared me by at least two unplanned screens of death on Tuesday and I’m in the middle of a mega backup so I can’t access any of my files. Likely that I’ll be throwing money at Dell in the near future for a new PC.
2. My brain has been eaten by my TAG Secret Santa fic which I can’t share and is now over 8000 words long. Thankfully this is on my iPad and unaffected by the computer issues, but because I’m writing that, I’m not writing anything else, so don’t have anything else to share
3. And it should always be noted that work gets in the way. All the time ::pouts::
::wails some more:: I’m used to posting fic every couple of days!
Hmmm, I do have this image in my head of Were!Virgil walking beside Kayo on some mission of some kind. Perhaps he plays puppy while she interviews suspects. Perhaps they become a little legendary, the Thunderbird and her Hound or some such. Wrong her and he’ll rip your throat out. Or perhaps they are just incognito. I think I just like the idea of him standing guard, protecting her, yet at the same time being the adorable goof he actually is. Like how does he take his coffee in wolf form? :D
Nutty
(maybe it is a good thing that I’m not actually writing this :D)

Werepuppies 11
I’ve had this one sitting in my drafts folder for a while. Finally time to post it.
A little puppy whump. No one on Tracy Island is safe from Grandma’s cooking.
Original post, Part 1, 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 ,7 , 8 , 9 and 10.
*****
Alan sat at the table and stared at the plate. He smiled at his Grandma as he placed a bit on his fork. Her eyes were on him, and he was the only grandson on the island, so he got to be her guinea pig. He placed the food, of you could call it that into his mouth. Alan fought his gag reflex and plastered the best smile he could on his face.
"Mmmmmm." He mumbled, as he tried to crunch the charcoaled potatoes of the 'shepherd's pie'. If there was lamb in it, Alan couldn't taste of over the salt and mint that overwhelmed everything. He managed to swallow it.
"It's, umm, good, Grandma."
Alan knew he did sound convincing, but he'd given up on that years ago. He suspected Grandma knew her cooking was bad; she just needed a way to show her love to her grandsons.
"Thank you, Alan. I'm going to take a plate to Kayo. Mind the puppies while I'm gone."
There was a whine from Vincent as Grandma told him to stay, before his Grandma disappeared up the stairs with a plate for the security expert. Alan tapped his communicator. Kayo popped up, a mildly annoyed expression on her face, like he’d interrupted something.
"Alan."
"Heads up, Grandma is on the way with a plate of her latest recipe. Trust me, you don't want her to find you."
"I'll do a security sweep of the area in Thunderbird Shadow. Thanks Alan."
Kayo disappeared and Alan looked down at his plate. He slipped from the table and started towards one of the potted plants, only for Dusty and Sienna to start dancing around him, eagerly looking at the plate of food.
"You guys don't want this, do you?"
The dogs just wagged their tails eyes on him. He wondered if anyone else had fed them Grandma's food before. If they hadn’t, they were about to, and Alan placed his plate on the floor. Dusty and Sienna sniffed it before taking bites. Vincent came over and joined in, not wanting to miss out, and Alan just watched the dogs with amusement. They were pushing each other over the food which he refused to eat. He wondered why he hadn't thought of this before. Soon his plate was clean, and he placed in on the side as Grandma walked in. The dogs were instantly at her side.
"Thank you for watching them, Alan. Fancy taking them for a walk with me?"
Alan grinned, "I'll grab the leads!" And he ran up the stairs to Virgil's room.
***
Virgil sat with a bundle of sorry looking puppies on his lap, all wanting comfort. He came back from a rescue to find Grandma fretting and all three ill and out of sorts. He had called the vet and they'd said it would probably pass, but to only offer them water for 12 hours. He was to take them in if they continued to be ill. Scott had taken Grandma to her room, so he could try calm her down. Normally he would be the one to calm her down, but Virgil had three poorly children to care for. He stroked them, already aware of the pins and needles in his leg. They were heavy when they were all on him at once, but right now he didn't want it any other way. There was a knock and Virgil looked up to see Alan, nervous and upset in the doorway.
"Come in, Alan."
"How are they? Are they going to be okay?"
Alan sat down beside him and Virgil pulled his brother in closer. Dusty shifted and slipped from the pile, before heading to Alan and laying on his uncle's lap. Alan gave him a pet, looking the puppy in the eye.
"I gave them Grandma's shepherd's pie." Alan mumbled.
Virgil just managed to catch the words, and he closed his eyes. At least he knew why they were ill.
"You can't give our food to them like that, especially not Grandma's." Virgil sighed, looking at the guilt in his little brother, "God knows what she put in that thing."
"I'm sorry, Virgil. I won't do it again."
Alan stroked each puppy, saying sorry in turn. Virgil could see Alan blinking back tears. He sighed and pulled his brother shoulder in close for a side hug. They sat there for a while, both of them comforting the dogs, which soon became fidgety. Sienna got up first and headed over to the water bowl Virgil had brought up for a drink. Dusty followed, causing a small tussle around the water bowl.
"Hey!" Virgil exclaimed, "Share you two!"
He gave Alan a squeeze as the two siblings shook out their coats and pottered about the room. They weren't moving at their usual pace, but they certainly looked better. Virgil felt some of the worry in his shoulders leave. It looked like they had got off lightly with just a stomach upset, as the vet had suggested.
"Looks like they are going to be okay. Though Vincent might milk the attention for a while." They both looked down at the black dog curled up in Virgil's lap, who was dozing, obviously enjoying the relaxing motion of Virgil's stroking. Alan chuckled.
"Grandma's going to spoil them all later, isn't she?"
"Yes, except she only gives them shop brought treats, unlike us."
"Her soups not that bad." Alan said with a smile on his face, as Dusty growled at Sienna, who'd taken 'his' tug-rope.

Another quick scene in my TraitAU.
Her Family
Sally sat in her armchair in the warm, cozy cabin.  Waiting. She'd been here many hours now; waiting. Sally disliked the waiting, but it was necessary; they needed the time.  In the distance she heard the mournful howl of a wolf, quickly answered by the roar of a bear.  "It won't be long now", she remarked to the shadow by the fire.
Only a few more minutes passed before she heard the sound of one, two, and finally three sets of talons on the rail of the deck on the back of the cabin.  Sally smiled.  The black leopard laying by the fire raised her head, watching the door with luminous green eyes.  The front door latch moved and as soon as the door opened a crack, in scampered a mischievous otter chittering excitedly.  A white wolf with beautiful turquoise eyes silently followed him into the room and padded over to sit by Sally's chair.  As she reached out a stroked his ruff, the door was pushed fully open by a massive grizzly bear.  Sally's heart skipped a beat as she briefly saw her beloved Grant.  Blinking, the form resolved itself into that of her third grandson.  He came over and greeted Sally before turning and nuzzling the lithe cat.
"Geez, Virgil, shift back you're taking up too much space," came Alan's voice from the back of the cabin.
The bear laughingly growled and morphed into Virgil's muscular form.  Dressed in his uniform undershirt and shorts, he grabbed a fuzzy green robe from a stool near the fireplace and held it up to shield Kayo as she shifted into her human form.  He then slipped into his own green robe and his "bear feet", bear-paw slippers gifted to him as a joke from Gordon.  Similarly dressed in bathrobes and normal slippers, Jeff, Scott, and Alan brought in trays of dishes, mugs of hot chocolate, and a large pot of stew, placing them on the table in a corner of the room.  Gordon, and John quickly changed and put on their robes and greeted their father, brothers, and Kayo.
Sally stood up and took her place at the table.  As the rest of the group settled into their familiar places, she smiled.  For the first time in too many years, her family was here together; safe and healthy.

The Moon
The next in the series from Virgil’s childhood.  Part 1, 2 ,3 , 4 , 5 and 6.
******
On the day of the full moon the entire family packed bags and headed to Grandma's. Dad told them it was for a change of scenery, and it was just for the weekend. Scott packed two nights of clothes for himself and helped Alan and Gordon pack three days’ worth of clothes, just in case. They were all packed into the car and Grandma drove them, John in the front so the Virgil and Scott could keep the youngest entertained. There was a sombre feel as they waved goodbye to their father, who said he had work to do. It hurt that Scott that Dad wasn't coming. Didn't he know that Virgil would need him? Scott vowed to stay with Virgil and keep him company.
That evening Grandma sat Scott and Virgil in Grandpa's study with water, food and toys. She gave them both a hug before heading upstairs to sort out the little ones. Scott and Virgil sat on the floor in silence and waited. Scott kept glancing at Virgil, wanting to say something but not knowing what to say, so just continued to pick at the carpet.
"It's time." Virgil stated, and Scott looked up to see his brother stand and drop his trousers. His brother went to pull off his t-shirt when he curled up in pain. The violence of it shocked Scott as he started to see his brother body grow. He quickly grabbed the bottom of the t-shirt and pulled it over Virgil's head. It got caught in his arms, which were tucked into his body. Scott reached to carefully free it, but the low growl made him pull his hand away, just as a pink paw swatted at him. Scott scooted back as his brother grunted in pain, shocked and, he hated himself for it, scared. His body only relaxed when Virgil slumped, his body still changing. Scott wiped away the tears he hadn't realised he'd shed. With his brother now still, he crept up and touched his furry back. Virgil don't respond, so Scott stroked him. After a few stokes, and feeling the steady movement of his brother's breathing, Scott dared to reach down and freed the t-shirt from the paws. He inspected it for tears, which there were thankfully none, before folding it up and placing it on the desk. He collected up his brother's discarded clothes, folded them and added them to the pile. Scott sat back down next to his brother and stroked him again. This time Virgil responded. His eyes opened and peered up at Scott.
"Sorry." He growled weakly.
"There's nothing to be sorry about, Virgil." Scott replied, continuing to stroke his brother.
Eventually Virgil got up and shook himself out like a dog and stretched. Scott knelt on all fours beside Virgil and compared their bodies. His little brother was no longer little, he was now bigger than Scott. Scott couldn't help but be in awe of his brother.
Virgil looked at his brother and he wanted to laugh, seeing him on all fours. Instead he lent against him, giving him a gentle push. The smile that crossed Scott's face made Virgil feel better. He'd taken longer to get up. It felt wrong not having Mum with him. But he wasn't alone. He knew his brother was going through the same pain, just in a different way. Virgil ducked under Scott chest and then straightened, forcing his brother to sit up. His brother surprised Virgil by wrapping his arms around Virgil's body and pressing his face into Virgil's back in an odd hug. Virgil stood and enjoyed his brother's embrace. When Scott reached up and scratched his head Virgil collapsed into his brother's lap. The head scratch eventually became a belly rub. It made his new skin feel better and relaxed him until his stomach growled.
Virgil rolled off his brother and pottered over to the water bowl for a drink. He had forgotten how thirsty the change made him and he lapped it up. Scott retrieved some of the sausages and fed them to him. As Virgil finished the last one the office door opened and Grandma entered. She smiled at them.
"Alan and Gordon are asleep, and John won't be long to follow. He'd trying to read but his eyes keep trying to close."
Both Virgil and Scott knew of John's determination to read and learn. They had both found him asleep with a book on many occasions. Virgil ran over to his Grandma, who knelt down and gave him a good scratch. Virgil gave her face a small lick causing her to chuckle. Grandma sat on the desk chair and Virgil rested his head on her knee. Scott sat cross-legged beside them.
"How much has your Dad told you about Virgil and werewolves, Scott?" Grandma spoke while stoking her grandson's head. Having witness her son's response to losing his wife, Sally was sure Scott hadn't been told anything. It was too soon for Jeff, and although she knew it was bound to bring sadness, Scott needed to know. Scott was going to have to take care of Virgil now, she knew it. It would take time for everyone.
"Dad said he'd explain more but he didn't. He just said Mum and Virgil were werewolves, that they weren't bad and that hunters had come and killed Mum."
Sally saw the quiver in Scott's lip and felt the shudder in Virgil. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then Sally explained everything to Scott. He sat still; eyes focused on her only flickering away to look at his brother whose head she was still stroking. She answered his questions and when all were answered, beckoned him over and gave the lad a hug. When Jeff had told her how Scott had found out, she was shocked. She'd kept an eye on her eldest grandson, but he'd kept the secret and had appeared to cope well. She would continue to watch him, as she would them all.
"Right, I'll check John's asleep and then we can move to the garden." A whine came from Virgil. She looked down into the big brown eyes. "It'll be okay. You can't stay cooped up inside. You need to run about. That's what you mother told me, when we sat down after we first saw you both during the full moon."
She gave him one more head rub before heading upstairs. John was asleep, book in hand as expected. Sally pulled the book from John's loose grip and placed it on the side, carefully keeping the page for him. She knew she'd find him reading in the morning, when she coaxed him down for breakfast. Heading downstairs, she picked up the box of dog toys from the cupboard and took Virgil and Scott out the back. She placed the box by the steps and handed Scott a ball. It wasn't long until the two brothers were playing fetch in the moonlight. Sally sat in her husband's swing, rocking it slightly with her foot. How many times had she watched Lucy and Virgil from this spot? It felt cold and lonely without her husband beside her. He had surprised her and adored the wolves. He would have loved seeing Scott and Virgil like this. The bond of brothers bridged everything, even myths and transformations. Sally gazed on, happy that Scott was smart enough to keep his voice down. The boy even laughed from time to time. A genuine laugh. It was sound that she hasn't heard from any of the boys since their mother died. Even Virgil looked like he was grinning. Right now, they were both living in the moment. Just the two of them, the ball and unadulterated fun. The way childhood should be.
Eventually Scott started to tire, and Sally summoned him up to the seat. He sat close beside her and she wrapped her arm around him. Virgil nipped inside but was back in no time and lay at their feet. Scott relaxed into her and sighed.
"Are we going to always come here for the full moon now?" Scott spoke softly and looked up at her. His blue eyes, so much like his father's, peered into hers. There were times when Scott could turn back time and make Sally think she was with a young Jeff.
"Maybe for a while, you father has some plans in the works and he's trying to get things to go faster. He wants to find a place that's safe for you all."
Scott looked away and she could feel Jeff's absence. He should be here for his boys, especially tonight. Sally and Scott spoke like this, with Virgil snoozing at their feet until Scott's yawns got too much and it was time for him to go to bed. The three of them headed upstairs and Sally and Virgil tucked Scott in. Heading back to the swing, Sally helped Virgil onto it, grabbed a couple of blankets and settled down with the wolf. Eventually, she fell asleep in the moonlight, the blankets and the heat radiating from the grandson in her lap keeping her warm.
