First date headcanons for Tsuna, Gokudera, and Yamamoto? Thank you!
FIRST DATE HEADCANONS.
characters — sawada tsunayoshi, gokudera hayato, yamamoto takeshi
a/n — thank you so much for requesting! the headcanons are set in present timeline, i hope you enjoy these as much as i enjoyed writing them.
SAWADA TSUNAYOSHI.
He would be a nervous wreck. Would literally lose sleep the night before because he would overthink of worst case scenarios and how he will embarass himself or how the date gets ruined one way or the other.
However, he is as much excited as he is nervous and can't believe he is actually going on a date. Would put a lot of thought on the date, trying to plan a pleasant first date that's enjoyable and not awkward.
Tsuna would prefer something casual as a first date like going to a café or going to an arcade – even if it means he loses to his date every single game they try. Even shopping together would be fine. Honestly, as long as he gets to spend time with his crush, tsuna would be willing to go even to the scariest rides at an amusement park.
Wouldn't be bold enough to make a move on his date, but would attempt to hold their hand if his date was comfortable with it. He would also be such a gentleman and insist on paying for their food and drinks, carrying any shopping bags if they end up with some and walking his date home at the end of it.
GOKUDERA HAYATO.
He would pretend it's not a big of a deal while internally being beyond excited about it. Gokudera would already be at least friendly with the person he is taking on a date as he is pretty closed off with strangers and not too crazy about being open with people he doesn't consider friends.
Under that deliquent bad boy facade is a huge nerd, so the date would have a similar tone as well. First date with Gokudera can include anything from watching a scifi movie at his place to going ghost hunting or stargazing in the middle of nowhere. Whatever it is, Gokudera will most likely infodump his date and excitedly go on about conspiracy theories as long as they show signs of interest.
First date with Gokudera isn't as much about romance as it is about getting to know him and him warming up to his date and learning how to be openly himself around them. However, if his date makes a move on him, he just might go along with it.
YAMAMOTO TAKESHI.
The most important thing to Yamamoto while planning the date is for it to be a fun time for both of them, so this automatically crosses out fancy dinners or going to a museum. Not that those would've been his first choices anyway.
Yamamoto would prefer doing some sort of activity together, as he is active himself. This could mean trying a new hobby together or just going for a nice evening walk at sunset. As long as it keeps his body moving, anything is fine since Yamamoto is open to new experiences – if his date has a clear idea of what they want to do, he would be more than willing to go with their plan.
Despite being popular at school, he is actually pretty clueless when it comes to romance and dating, so he would be a bit nervous about the date but would try to keep a positive mindset nevertheless. If it's a bit chilly outside, Yamamoto would offer his jacket to his date and offers to walk them home or to their bus stop. He is definitely the boldest out of the three and wouldn't hesitate to initiate physical contact or affection with his date, if they were okay with it.

Crossover Idea #7 – Hollow Knight and Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Tsuna is pseudo-adopted by the Grimm Troupe
Okay so like, hear me out here. Tsuna and the Grimmchild. Tell me them being buddies and getting into shenanigans wouldn’t be cute, I dare you.
In all seriousness, though, there’s more to the idea than that.
So, what I’m thinking in terms of backstory here for this world is as follows – a long time ago, the world was more or less as we see in Hollow Knight, with great big wastelands between kingdoms that stripped travelers of their memories (and also of their minds, as per one of my headcanons) and gods maintaining the kingdoms that served as bastions from the Wastes. Despite being basically an apocalyptic wasteland with the occasional oasis for people to live in, the world wasn’t actually dying. Kingdoms, yes, but not the world itself, and it could have lasted for a long time so long as there were gods around. However, this is where Kawahira’s people came in – their people were dying due to having no gods to maintain their kingdoms properly, and in an effort to save themselves they created the Tri-Ni-Sette as a replacement. Thing is, it worked a little too well, and its effects actually covered the entire world. While this meant that mortal life could flourish, the actual gods began to slip into obscurity – they’re still around, but far less important and powerful, and no longer necessary for maintaining life.
Now, fast-forward about 30,000 years. Humanity has flourished and taken over most of the known world, though there’s still a small continent unexplored due to several bug gods banding together and creating treacherous storms in order to protect their kingdoms from being colonized. The Tri-Ni-Sette is deteriorating, threatening the reappearance of the Wastelands, thus the need for the Arcobaleno. However, most humans aren’t aware of this, save for the Arcobaleno themselves, and so they live in peaceful bliss. However, the remaining bugs are all too aware of the Tri-Nii-Sette’s deterioration eventually bringing back the Wastelands, and their remaining gods have banded together to prepare. Amongst one of these gods is Grimm, the Nightmare King and Master of the Grimm Troupe, who is one of the only gods (save for the Radiance and the Vessels, yes they exist too) who risks traveling through dreams to human continents. He and his troupe travel from place to place, hidden as an eccentric and spooky human circus instead of the bugs they really are, drifting from town to town to gather Essence in preparation for the return of the Wastelands.
It’s during one of these trips overseas that they end up in Namimori, maybe two years after Tsuna’s Flames are sealed by Nonno and Idiotsu (Iemitsu). The little Sky accidentally stumbles across their tents while trying to escape from his bullies, and though he is at first frightened by them (to be fair the Troupe IS pretty spooky and they throw fire around) they’re also a hell of a lot nicer to him than humans are and he’s quick to warm up to him. The reverse is also true, and so while the troupe eventually leaves town, as they must do, they promise to visit again and the latest Grimmchild is left in Tsuna’s care both as a friend and to continue gathering Essence from Namimori.
Combining the Grimmchild, who is literally a fireball-spitting baby, with the sheer number of shenanigans that go on in KHR canon quickly sends canon tumbling off-track at break-neck speeds, while creating new shenanigans for Tsuna to deal with at a much younger age.
Details for this fic include:
The Grimm Troupe isn’t just made up of Grimm, the Grimmkin, Brumm and Divine – there are several Vessels in the Troupe as well who decided to come along with him and be part of the troupe (because even in a world where all bug gods are united under one goal, the Pale King is still a terrible father.) Amongst them is Ghost and “Pure,” aka baby Hollow Knight that was never actually used to seal the Radiance and is thus more or less fine, because the Vessels deserve good lives damn it.
The Vessels Do Not Understand People for the most part – emotions are hard for them. They all like Tsuna though, and basically adopt him as another Sibling along with Grimmsmol.
The Grimm Troupe knows about Tsuna’s Seal immediately upon meeting him thanks to nightmare-god-voodoo tricks, basically. However, the lack of Flames doesn’t bother them, because unlike humans, who all have at least dormant Flames, Bugs don’t naturally have Dying Will Flames.
This whole “all humans have Flames” thing is the source of Tsuna’s abuse by Namimori post-Sealing, though – he feels “empty” to them and instinctively they all hate that. So Grimm, being a literal god albeit a weakened one, uses his own nightmare flames to start burning the Seal away a little bit at a time. They’re just similar enough to Sky Flames that he can sort of get away with it without causing permanent damage so long as he’s careful, but due to the nature of his own fire Tsuna’s get a little… eldritch when he’s finally able to use them again.
Eldritch as in his Flames can now burn Essence and are made stronger every time they do so, and they feel really weird to normal Flame-Actives. And may or may not cause nightmares in people they’re not compatible with. It doesn’t help with human people in Naminori not liking him anymore, but hey, at least now the bullies leave him alone!
Tsuna, being an impressionable kid, starts emulating the Troupe after they’ve helped him. He may or may not wear all red and black, and try to take dancing lessons after school. He also may or may not be given a Grimm Troupe mask at some point and it sort of becomes his security blanket even when he’s not wearing it.
The Grimmchild is a grade A Accidental Troublemaker. They’re old enough to be able to spit fire, but not old enough to know how to control it properly, so they catch a lot of things on fire when excited, or mad, or just in general, and usually by accident. It happens so often that spontaneous combustion around town barely makes anyone bat an eye after a few years.
They start doing it on purpose as they get older though, mostly because some of Tsuna’s bullies can’t take a hint and need to be scared off sometimes until they smarten up finally and leave him alone.
Grimmsmol may or may not accidentally smack into babby Hibari while flying one night and catch the carnivore’s attention as a “baby carnivore.” Hibari ends up actually helping gather Essence with Tsuna and Spooky Junior early on, which leads to him both going Active due to a particularly nasty restless ghost (which is where they get Essence from in the first place) and him ending up with a little bit of nightmare in his Flames as well… not that he needs them much, haha.
Something similar may or may not end up happening with Chrome (and later Mukuro, who escapes the Vindice earlier than canon to go to Namimori at Chrome’s suggestion), Takeshi, and also Ryohei (he thinks the little hellbat baby is EXTREME, enough said.) Basically all Tsuna’s Elements end up with the nightmare flames thing going on to a degree.
The first time Tsuna’s new friends meet Grimm, they all basically decide we want to be like you. Yes, even Hibari, though he’s more focused on the whole super-powerful fireball-throwing “carnivore” thing than the oh my god you’re so cool/extreme sentiments the rest of them have.
Grimm ends up teaching them all how to “dance,” aka they all end up acrobatic fire-throwing fighter, though they each end up developing their own “dancing” style at his insistence.
The little differences all start stacking up until by the time Reborn arrives in Namimori, Tsuna’s Seal is already broken, he has four out of six element bonds, their flames are all slightly infused with nightmares due to proximity to Grimm Jr. and the Troupe, all five of them are already budding badasses due to Grimm’s lessons and them practicing when he’s not in town, and all of them are slightly creepy to everyone not in their circle.
Funnily enough, this Tsuna isn’t so reluctant about being a Mafia Boss, and Reborn is a lot more reluctant to teach the kid. Tsuna figures that being a Mafia Boss would let him help the Troupe gather Essence more easily, since he’d have a lot more power and would know more about where all the gruesome deaths that create the Ghosts that create Essence in the first place would be. Reborn, on the other hand, is unnerved by Tsuna and Co’s weird Flames and their eagerness to become Mafioso, and their calmness when confronted with death, which isn’t normal for civilians. Hibari he can understand, he’s Fon’s nephew and technically already part of the underworld, but the rest of them? He’s actually pretty sure he’s accidentally discovered actual demons in disguise, which is pretty funny actually since he’s technically still more dangerous than all of them.
Reborn does end up in the Tsuna and Co. bandwagon eventually though, because once he knows the full reasons why they wanna be in the Mafia, and he sees the sheer chaos potential of the group (Grimmchild included), he’s all for training these little demons. (And all for meeting Grimm because hey, actual god that can burn away Flame Seals without having Flames – maybe he has some insight into how to break the Arcobaleno curse?)
Bonus: Hayato is thrilled when he ends up being called in, not just because he has a chance to fulfill his dream but also because his future Boss is literally friends with a baby UMA and the baby UMA’s parents and family. That and the Grimmchild really doesn’t like Bianca and is perfectly willing to try to catch her on fire when she’s nearby.
Good god that’s a lot of text. Uh, whoops?

EC here, requesting Reborn introducing himself to/demanding answers from Sentai!Tsuna.
KHR: Freaky Friday 5/13 - Reach for the Sky (Again)
In today’s episode of KAMEN RIDER SORA the famous hitman tutor REBORN is seeking the answers to several questions. Who was that masked man in orange? Where does his student disappear to every day? Will Reborn manage to uncover the truth behind the mystery hero of Namimori?
Stay tuned to find out!
/…/
… DAY ONE…
… REVEALED PRESENCE TO NEW STUDENT - CLOSE QUARTERS TARGET ASSESSMENT INITIATED…
… MISSION INTELLIGENCE COMPROMISED BY FALSE SURVEILLANCE REPORTS - THREAT LEVEL TO NEW STUDENT UNKNOWN…
“I hired a home tutor for you, Tsuna! He’s come all the way from Italy as a special favour for your Papa!”
“Ehh? But Kasan, I’m already getting tutoring at school!”
“Caiosu. I’m the home tutor Reborn.” This child is far to suspicious of me to be ignorant of who I am. What has Smoking Bomb told him about the Mafia? Did that stupid boy go so Sky Struck he broke Omertà?
“… You’re a baby in a suit.” Oh shit the Youma are coming into people’s homes now?
“Let’s all try to get along!”
/…/
Reborn decided to wait and see how long it took for the boy to crack, and instead of drawing his gun to reveal that Tsuna was now the heir to the Vongola Famiglia, he instead forced Tsuna to do all his homework instead. Sitting on the tabletop, Reborn watched silently as Tsuna worked through each subject and smiled innocently when the boy started twitching spastically every time their eyes met.
Reborn wanted answers, and he would do whatever it took to get them.
The fact that Reborn could entertain himself in the process was just a nice bonus.
/…/
… DAY TWO…
… NEW STUDENT STILL ACTING SQUIRRELLY…
… ATTEMPT MADE TO UNCOVER METHODOLOGY BEHIND UNKNOWN FLAME USE…
“So do you have lots of friends, Dame-Tsuna?”
“I… I suppose I have a few.”
“Do you belong to any after school clubs?”
“Not um, not exactly…”
“You should speak more confidently, Dame-Tsuna.”
“You say that sort of thing but call be by that name… it’s a contradiction.”
“Don’t talk back to your beloved tutor, Dame-Tsuna.”
“Wh-what part of you is beloved?”
“So rude, Dame-Tsuna. Do you talk to your subordinates like that?”
“Why would I have subordinates?”
“You run the local school gang, right? With those delinquents you cut class with.”
“Don’t call them delinquents!”
“So it is a gang.”
“NO IT’S NOT. STOP DECIDING THINGS WITHOUT LISTENING!”
“Don’t yell at me, Dame-Tsuna, it’s impolite.”
“Hieeee…”
“Also you’re late for school.”
“HIEEEEE! Hibari-sempai’s gonna bite me to death!”
“Thank you for the meal, Maman. I’ll walk to the school with my student today.”
… FIRST ATTEMPT UNSUCCESSFUL…
/…/
Searching Tsuna’s room while the boy was sleeping for any hints about what sort of Flame group the boy had fallen in with revealed nothing except that Tsuna was an energetic sleeper. Amusing due to the distinct similarities between Tsuna’s flailing limbs and a dog chasing dream rabbits, but ultimately fruitless.
Following the boy to school again, this time out in the open, revealed nothing new. However, it did allow Reborn to confirm that whatever Tsuna was mixed up in, the Sasagawa siblings and Kurokawa Hana were in on it. Reborn had almost forgotten what it was like to have a young lady squint suspiciously at him. This was the first time since he was cursed that a woman had obviously objected to his company.
How odd to meet kids that suspected a baby of nefarious plans. Reborn had not been this entertained on a job in years.
The front wall of the grocery market they were passing by collapsed as an almost-fish shaped monstrosity wearing only strategically placed coconuts rampaged through.
Reborn blinked.
Tsuna and his friends disappeared.
The grotesque fishy-monster thing cackled.
It was promptly ambushed by the Yellow and Orange Power Rangers.
“WE EXTREMELY OBJECT TO UNSAFE FISHING PRACTICE!!”
The fish thing exploded.
Reborn stared blankly at the sparkling pile of rainbow glitter.
“… What.”
… SECOND ATTEMPT UNSUCCESSFUL…
/…/
There were uniformed men and women swarming the area around the demolished market. Very neat. Very fast response time. Very official looking.
Those badges did not belong to any Japanese or International authority on or off the record. Reborn watched with narrow eyes as Kurokawa Hana snapped orders and directed techs carrying some sort of scanning equipment as they set up.
Sasagawa Kyoko, her brother Ryohei, and Sawada Tsunayoshi were nowhere to be seen. Seated comfortably in the concealing foliage of a potted plant, Reborn tilted his head as Leon crawled along the brim of his hat. One of the scanners was run over the bush, the tech watching the screen intently. In fact, Reborn noticed that everything organic in the area was being scanned. When his bush was declared cleared, Reborn remained seated and continued to observe.
What interesting friends you have, Sawada Tsunayoshi.
/…/
“Ciaossu.”
“Wh- Reborn? How did you get in here! This is a restricted area!”
“I am a master of disguise.”
“You’re trespassing! And probably a Youma in disguise!”
“I’ve never done a costume for that before. What’s a youma?”
“Don’t try to change the subject!”
“It’s the same subject, Dame-Tsuna. Don’t snap just because you don’t know the answer to the question.”
“I know what a youma is! Shut up! Stop making no sense!”
“… Where are we going?”
“I’m taking you to the lab! Then you’ll be someone else’s problem.”
“This isn’t the way a good student treats his tutor, Dame-Tsuna.”
“You aren’t any sort of tutor! Either you’re a baby playing pretend or you’re a youma trying to throw me off guard and it’s not going to work so stop acting already!”
“You are a very high strung young man.”
… THIRD ATTEMPT UNSUCCESSFUL…
/…/
When Tsuna dropped him onto a lap table in front of Smoking Bomb with an irritated huff, Reborn knew the jig was up. Pity, the last twenty-four hours had been fun, even if the repeated occasions of monsters versus speed racer cosplayers still confused him.
“Caiosu, Smoking Bomb.”
“Eh? Aren’t you the Arcobaleno Reborn?”
“Your sister’s been worried about you, Gokudera Hayato. Call Bianchi before I tell her where you are.”
“Hiieee? Hayato, you have a sister? And you know this baby?”
“Um, Tsuna… he’s not just a normal baby…”
“I’m not just a home tutor. I’m also the World’s Greatest Hitman. Dame-Tsuna, as a favour to the Ninth Boss of the Vongola, I’m here to train you to be a Mafia Boss.”
Watching Smoking Bomb choke and fall out of his chair, knocking his student over on his way down, Reborn had absolutely no regrets about his announcement.
It was impossible to buy entertainment this good.
Tsuna surged to his feet and hauled Hayato up with him, staring at the Hitman Baby with wide eyes.
“WHAT?”
… FOURTH ATTEMPT IN PROGRESS…
=/=
This is one of the rougher freewrites I’ve done so far, but it flows pretty well and the comedy is snappy enough to pass muster, so here ya’ll go.
Enjoy. ^_^

Additions to the Family: Some Paperwork
Ao3: Here
Summary: Tsuna didn't really give much thought to his infertility until he realized he was surrounded by children. After being told fertility treatments wouldn't work, a new suggestions was given.
Adoption.
Or: Tsuna adopts an army of children.
Pairings: Undecide, Ryohei/Hana, Kyoko/Haru
Rating: T
Something was wrong. Reborn could feel it as he walked through the hallways of the Vongola headquarters.
With this bunch, he often felt it, but this was strange. Like something new and hopeful was happening. He had no idea why it felt like this.
Walking past Gokudera and Yamanato, Reborn overhead them talking to each other.
“Man, Tsuna’s been in his office for a while. There really that much paperwork?”
“Probably. It is the first of the month baseball-freak.” Reborn changed direction after that.
Tsuna hated paperwork. He’d been horrified the mafia actually had paperwork. Reborn had taken glee in teaching him why.
Vongola and the rest of the alliance had hotels, casinos, and brothels all in their names. These buisnesses under the Vongola reported to the Vongola liasions, who would compile the reports and then send off another to others, and so on. Then there were expense reports- most dealt with by another division who sent just updates to Tsuna. Alliances reports were a few to, so those were sent to Tsuna as well.
It wasn’t a terrible amount, but it did usually take a day or two after the monthly dump, then usually a morning for the weekly reports.
Tsuna still hated it.
Slipping into his student’s office, Reborn withheld the snort upon seeing Tsuna only half doing his paperwork. He was mostly on his computer.
Sneaking up behind his student, Reborn was about to say something when he noticed the fact Tsuna was researching adoption.
He slipped right out of the office.
He also pulled out his phone and began calling some contacts.
Tsuna would need them soon.
-0-
Domestic, international, private, public, closed, open…
Tsuna groaned, rubbing his face.
There was just so much information about it all, he felt his head swim a little.
But at the same time, he fell more and more in love with the idea of adoption the more he read it. A little boy or girl finding a family. A huge one, really.
Reading a bit more, Tsuna hummed under his breath.
He liked the idea of international adoption. Domestic risked to much of an enemy family slipping in a child and then attempting to claim them later on. Or an allied family doing the same thing really.
But what country? Did he want to specify? Did he…
“Tenth?” Tsuna looked up to see Hayato holding a dinner tray, looking worried. “You haven’t got much paperwork done.”
“Yeah, I…” Tsuna hesitated for a second. “I spoke with Shamal a while back, again. He told me that even with fertility treatments, there would be no chance of me having a biological child.” Hayato didn’t interrupt, simply waited. “He suggested… I think about adoption.”
Hayato jerked back, eyes widening slightly. That… he hadn’t expected. Oh, he knew his boss loved children and always wanted some, but he’d never expected Tsuna to willingly bring children into their world… then again, if he had them biologically it would be the same…
The more he thought about it though, the more excited he was for Tsuna. He’d worried when Tsuna hadn’t really reacted to his infertility. It seemed like it hadn’t kicked in until now, but Tsuna… he found hope.
He always did.
“That’s… that’s amazing!” Hayato said finally, throwing his arms up, a grin on his face. “Are you researching it now? What have you found? Do you require any assistance-“
“Hayato-kun! Calm down, please.” Tsuna laughed, shaking his head. “I’ve been researching it for a week or so, and I’ve been thinking an international adoption is what I want most.”
“Where from?” Hayato asked, pulling out a pad and paper, making Tsuna wonder where they had been- and where the dinner, oh, on the chair, got it.
“Not sure. Some place we can be relatively sure there won’t be a rival Mafioso family attempting to slip a kid in?” Tsuna leaned back, frowning. “I also like the idea of adopting from a new culture we aren’t familiar with. It seems interesting.” He idly looked at a globe he had on his desk. Dino’s daughter, Emily, had given it to him, saying that every office needed one. He glanced over the various countries, but one caught his eye.
“Maybe… Mexico?”
“And the Cartels?” Hayato asked. Tsuna snorted.
“After you and Hibari teamed up to ruin them, they leave our operations alone.”
“Very excellent point.” Hayato chuckled. “Are you going to discuss it with the others?”
“Yes, tomorrow I think.” Tsuna grinned, thinking of it. “I’ll have to convert a room into a child’s bedroom.
“We’ll help.”
“That’s what I’m afraid of.”
-0-
Telling the others had pretty much gone as expected.
Ryohei burst into happy yelling about how extreme Tsuna was, and how awesome it would be to have a little Tsuna. Lambo was similar.
Takeshi laughed, and eagerly talked about teaching the child baseball.
Hibari didn’t really react other then a nod. Murkuro cackled and said it would be interesting.
Chrome was thrilled, and talked about it all, along with Kyoko and Haru. Hana simply shrugged, a smirk on her face.
His mother and sister both were excited, and Mama decided to learn how to make traditional Mexican dishes for the future.
It was the Ninth and Imeitsu who gave him the trouble.
“You know this can cause succession troubles,” Timoteo told Tsuna, who rolled his eyes at him. After becoming Decimo, Tsuna had refused to have the ninth as an advisor, something which he was insulted by.
Tsuna didn’t care.
“As long as I don’t, say, lie to them for years and let them know they’re adopt, I don’t see a problem. I mean, that’s the biggest thing- lying to their faces.” Tsuna smirked at the older man who went a little red.
“Tsuna-“ Iemitsu began, looking cross.
“I suggest you don’t say a word. The only reason you’re still CDEF head is because Basil and Lal are still unsure if they wish for the position. As soon as one decides, you’re out.” Tsuna told him bluntly. “You are not someone I take advice from. You are not someone I respect. Do not attempt to try a single thing.”
He left soon after, only to run into the Varia. All gave him an assessing look, and Tsuna knew that they had heard of his plans before Xanxus even spoke.
“Adoption?” Xanxus asked, his voice hard. Tsuna nodded in answer.
“I’m planning on digging up information about biological parents, telling them as soon as I can, incorporating culture-“ Tsuna trailed off as Xanxus slowly nodded.
“Smart trash.” He muttered. The other members didn’t have much to say, but all looked grateful.
Like hell he would mimic the Ninth.
Telling Reborn ended up a contact in an adoption agency- the Open Hearts Society.
He wasn’t surprised Reborn already knew though.
“Mexico, hmmm?” Reborn asked, looking amused. “Girl or boy?”
“Doesn’t matter.”
“True, I’ll teach them either way.”
“Not how you taught me.” Tsuna told him and Reborn pouted but shrugged.
Calling them directed him to a female who told him ‘I’ll come over, look you over and decide.’ Before she hung up.
Well, this would be interesting.

Victoria ‘Tori’ Mathews had originally wanted to be a cop. She’d gone to college for it and everything. Then she took a socialwork class, and the rest was history.
She’d moved to Italy from Canada after a brief marriage that fell apart when her husband decided to sleep with his secretary and pin the blame on Tori for a rather awful assassination of some heir to a mafia family.
It was luckily cleared up by a baby/man/person. Tori had promised she owed him one.
And now he was coming to collect.
“Wasn’t the Vongola that family I was accused of killing the heir of?” she asked over the phone.
“Yes. But Tsuna is not like the others. He wishes to turn the Vongola into a legitimate business.”
“From what I can tell, it really already is. Even with the hitmen and shit,” Tori muttered as she searched through the files Reborn had sent her.
The ‘less base’ mafia families were weird to her. No drugs, no gun trafficking and no human trafficking? Really, she kind of considered them like… not criminals. The only thing illegal was the protection bracket, the hitmen, fencing stolen goods… okay, never mind. Criminals.
“Look, I’ll talk to him. If I think it’s good, I’ll go through with it- though I will need some help hiding his mafia connection.”
“Your boss is crooked, it’ll be fine.”
“…Okay, that does not surprise me. How crooked?”
“Not to an extreme point, but he looks away for quite a few things.”
“Fun. Alright. Give him my number.” Getting the call and then heading over was the easy part.
The interview? That was the hard part.
It took place at Tsunayoshi Sawada’s- on paper, CEO of Vongola Industries. Terrible student, infertile due to an accident as a child- home. He’d apparently refused to stay at the traditional home for the Vongola Bosses, headquarters, and instead let the ninth generation stay, while he took over the retirement spot.
Looking around the small area, holding ten buildings, she was fairly certain it was the best idea. Open space, less neighbours- other then his inner circle- and a… jungle gym.
“Interesting,” she muttered to herself as she strode to the house with an orange door, knocking firmly on said door. It opened to reveal a fluffy haired brunette with big brown eyes. “Victoria Mathews, the social worker.”
“Oh, hello!” The brunette outright beamed and Tori was a bit taken aback by how… shiny it was. “I’m Saw… Tsunayoshi Sawada.” He opened the door wider and she entered. “Reborn said he knew you?”
“He basically saved my life,” Tori agreed, deciding to get it over with. “But I’m not sacrificing my own values to help you get a kid. If I decide you’re not a good idea for a parent, I will not push it through.”
“I understand.” Tsunayoshi agreed. He took her on a quick tour of his house- seven bedrooms, one office, a gym, a huge entertainment room and Tori kind of felt a little overwhelmed by it all- before leading her to the kitchen for some water and the interview.
“Why adoption?”
“I’ve always wanted kids. Being told that fertility treatments wouldn’t work, I was a little down until my doctor suggested adoption.” Tsunayoshi explained to her. “A… employee of mine was adopted but his father never told him and it turned into quite a… dramatic time for them.”
“Then you know what not to do.” Tori told him bluntly. “As for your job… if your child wanted out would you let them?”
“I didn’t want my job.” Tsunayoshi responded. “But I was backed to the wall, and I realized if I kept saying no…” Tori nodded, making a note on her paper.
“Many children available for international adoption- or domestic- are special needs children. Would this be a problem for you?”
“No. I mean, I would need to research and everything, but as a kid I had some… issues. I would fully support any child of mine. No matter what.”
“Your family- I’d like at least one civilian reference- would they be helping you?”
“All of them, except my father and my predecessor are accepting. They offered to help with the bedrooms.” The look on his face made Tori snort.
After a few more questions, Tori sighed and pulled out some paperwork.
“Fill this out, I’ll mark off on the home tour and I’ll send you info on a few classes you need to take. But… I have no objection to being your social worker.” He lit up like a sun and grinned so wide her heart felt light.
Weird kid.
-0-
The paperwork was almost as bad as the other stuff he had to do, but this stuff he threw himself into.
There was also deciding on the age group, and if he was okay with a sibling group. He’d spoken with his guardians, his mom and Tori- she gave permission- about it.
“I’d like a baby,” he admitted.
“That would take longer Tenth,” Hayato said, looking through his many notes. He’d cornered Tori before she left and she ended up throwing a binder of rules and regulations at him to stop with the questions.
“Not for the Vongola.” Reborn said with a smirk.
“Please don’t get Miss Mathews into trouble Reborn. She’s being really nice doing this.” Tsuna told him. His once tutor shrugged in response. “As for a sibling group… I’m not sure. I mean, if the baby has siblings I’d go for it. If there’s a twin, I’ll take both. But…”
“You wouldn’t seek them out.” Takeshi offered, looking through some paint swatches that they had gathered for the baby’s room. “How about a sea theme?”
“Oh, that’s perfect for a girl or a boy!” said Kyoko cheerfully from where she sat with her wife, the two looking over furniture. “Can you tell Tori that?”
“I kinda did. She told me she wouldn’t seek them out but she would keep it in mind.” Tsuna agreed. “If it’s a sea theme, what kind of fish should we paint?”
As the process went on, the group had a memorable afternoon in which Reborn implemented some ‘traditional Vongola’ ways (Tsuna knew Reborn was screwing with them) to paint the room a nice sea blue with colourful koi fish painted on the walls.
It was a paperwork day when a Vongola subordinate brought a plain brown envelope to the office. He had a grin on his face. The entire Vongola- and therefore the mafia- knew that The Vongola Decimo was adopting. Some Familigas had attempted to discover where to slip a child in, but the Vongola kept their mouths shut. And the one time Tori was leaned on, she broke three arms.
“You might want to read this sir.” Tsuna took the envelop, frowning, only to open it and find a packet of information with a picture of a tiny baby girl, with big brown eyes and dark brown hair.
Josefina.
I read some comment on Tumblr about how someone found it funny we all agreed there was paperwork involved in the mafia and Tsuna would hate it.
One- paperwork is awful. We all hate it.
Two- with something as big as the Vongola, I would be surprised if there isn’t any. I’m not talking ‘daily 8-4 paperwork’ but reports, expense, that sort of thing? Yeah, wouldn’t be surprised. So… yeah, me interjecting some reasonable thoughts?
I don’t like Iemitsu and the Ninth as you can tell. Ignore the fact the ‘Sealed Flames’ might be anime only, they piss me off so much. Iemitsu lying to his wife, never being around and being abusive? No one can tell me he’s a good dad. Neglectful at best, psychically abusive at worst. Terrible husband to.
The Ninth… why the hell didn’t he make his kids get married? Why the hell didn’t he step down sooner? Why the fuck does he send Reborn to tutor a civilian kid?! Why the hell doesn’t he tell Xanxus the truth?
Just… shitty dads. Guess it’s true almost all fathers in anime suck.
I don’t like Nana much either- but I’m not as willing to write her off. I mean, Japanese culture puts a lot on doing well. Tsuna doesn’t, and it might be shaming her. I don’t like she calls him Dame, but again, I don’t know if it’s culture or not.
So, here she’s a good mom. Not the best, but eh.
And now we meet the social worker, and get a glimpse at the future baby!

Who forgot to water my plant?
I can post stuff like this here, right? RIGHT!
I made a pissed off Tsuna wearing the Natsu cape thing~ I was going to draw pissed off Tsuna with a hoodie and stuff, but I didn't want to draw the gloves or clothes, so I just went with the cape. He was also smiling, which I thought was awesome, but his eyes were shadowed and a tick was on his cheek. He was pissed... I also drew Reborn sketches next to him (I cannot draw Reborn -_- ).
Anyway, I went to the description and began to describe a scenario in second person, before quickly starting a whole third person story. I liked it. I continued. I just could stop . pls forgive me
So, I thought I could share it to ffnet tumblr.
Mukuro and Hibari destroyed half the Vongola mansion during a fight. Lambo and I-Pin (now enrolled in school) wouldn't stop moving about the chaos and whining for candy (Well, I-Pin was trying to stop Lambo as he ran about the chaos, whining for candy). Gokudera is straining to do damage control while Yamamoto tries to talk Hibari and Mukuro down.
Chrome wonders what she should do to appease her boss at the unwelcoming sight, but Tsuna just walks past it all. It's been a hard week. Reborn forced him into a solo mission (because despite already having inherited the Vongola as the Neo Primo, he's still in training) and he just wants to go to sleep.
Maybe tomorrow he'll start a video conference with his mom and dad. Maybe Kyoko and Haru will be with them. The Simon family was coming over tomorrow, they could say hello to Namimori together. Mostly Tsuna and Enma would say hello, everybody else would be destroying the Vongola mansion.
He'd have a lot of paperwork to do if he wanted to cover the damages for today and tomorrow. Tsuna hears a crash from behind him.
There goes the library.
He probably shouldn't complain. Whenever they visited the Simon they brought about their own chaos.
Of course, the Varia didn't tend to visit the Simon or Cavallone with him and his guardians, so the damage was much lower.
He entered his room and left the noisy home behind him. Reborn was already inside, still his home tutor and still young (though growing older by the month), snoozing in his own hammock (he'd grown accustomed to it, but he would never admit it).
Tsuna's bed was black and charred.
Who set my bed on fire? he wondered, but turned around lethargically. He could sleep in whichever bed he pleased, it was his own damn mansion. Who cared if he ended up in one of his Famiglia member's bed?
But his eye caught sight of one thing. It was so out of place. The plant beside his desk (which had been rummaged through, likely by Lambo) looked so still and untouched amid the mess that was his home. The pot was brand new, and no dirt had been spilled. Leaves were gathering inside, falling ever so gently. The limbs of the tiny tree were limp and calm.
His plant was dead.
Tsuna didn't really care, or he at least didn't think he cared.
He continued to walk but found himself walking down stairs instead of toward the guest rooms (or Gokudera's, which was the closest room). It was a slow walk, which let him take in the noise and the destruction of his Famiglia. The Varia had joined in, and Takeshi was sword fighting with Squalo.
Hayato (good old Hayato) was still attempting damage control by directing staff away from possible danger and calling for repair crews. Lambo clambered into him and flew off with his phone, I-Pin behind the rowdy child.
"Ahodera, Ahodera," he sang.
“Lambo! Stop!”
"Hey, you stupid cow!"
Hayato joined the dark side in an instant.
Levi was intent on remaining at Xanxus' side, so Tsuna could appreciate the fact that Xanxus never moved unless he wanted. Xanxus remained still, eating on a chair with a ridiculously relaxed posture.
Belphegor had joined the fight with Mukuro and Hibari. Lussaria was dragging Ryohei away from the soundproof training room Tsuna had gotten installed with the hopes of maintaining some sort of calm throughout the mansion. Ryohei also joined the dark side.
Mammon, like Reborn, was asleep, finding no profit in remaining awake. Tsuna also found no profit and wished he could also be in bed.
But first...
He walked into the lobby easily, avoiding the massive fighting with swift accuracy. It was the same thing every day. Every. Day.
Tsuna thought back to the one place of solace in his mansion. Where all had been quiet and untouched and left alone. The only damn thing in the entire mansion he had actually expected his Famiglia to bother while he was gone.
He couldn't quite tell when Natsu had formed a cape around him, but he could feel his lion expected a fight. His ring was burning with approval (surely the Primo would accept that, sometimes, a boss had to skin his family members alive).
"Heey," Tsuna drawled, similar to Squalo's crows, but quieter. More infuriated.
Nobody stopped.
"Oi, oi, oi."
His gloves were on in less than a second, and he was in V.R. form in no time. Once upon a time, it had amazed his Famiglia to see Tsuna surrounded by such powerful flames. It was still pretty amazing.
Hibari stilled, dodging a hit from Belphegor and Mukuro to glance at the sky flames. Slowly, but surely, the room began to quiet down around them.
Chrome shuffled back awkwardly, unsure as to why she felt such unease.
Reborn and Mammon had suddenly woken up; Reborn with a gun shaped Leon in hand. They were both now sitting together on the staircase, waiting.
Finally, Hayato caught Lambo and sat on the Bovino, with I-pin sat on his leg (to weigh him down further).
The staff had scattered away long ago.
All was quiet.
Tsuna's flames died down to shorter levels, but his eyes glowed orange and Natsu remained a cape.
"Who," he finally spoke, "forgot to water my plant?"
There was a moment of confusion. Most didn't quite remember there ever being a plant to water.
"You mean that plant in your room?" Takeshi asked, struggling to remember if there was a plant in Tsuna's room.
"Yes."
"Ack! Sorry, Tenth! I forgot to replace your bed before you arrived!" Gokudera yelled.
"That is not what I'm inquiring you about," Tsuna said, grinding his teeth almost inconspicuously.
Reborn made a small noise, "pyu," as if to hold in a laugh.
"Who. Forgot. To water. My plant."
There was a collective gulp from many of his guardians. The Varia, including Levi, prepared themselves for battle. Hibari did the same, a predatory smile edging out.
In the background, one could see Ken and Chikusa slowly revealing themselves from behind a rather large pillar.
But before anyone could make a move, Tsuna smiled. It was not the usual warm smile his Famiglia was used to. It was mostly a passive smile, but there was an edge to it that forced I-Pin to take a step back.
"I-Pin," he said, making the shy assassin-in-training jump, "you and Lambo should go visit Fuuta. Now."
Gokudera had already stood up the moment Tsuna had made his presence known, so dragging Lambo away from the mansion was easy enough. Running away was a very easy task when you were scared enough.
"Now, to the rest of my Famiglia. I'll ask again. Who forgot. To water. My. Plants."
It was no easy feat, but Xanxus managed to fall asleep while Tsuna...investigated.
~time lapse~
"I'm home," Bianchi entered the (destroyed) Vongola mansion an hour later, a giant potted plant in hand. She'd felt a bit bad that Reborn's room had been ruined by the Neo Primo's guardians, and had gone out to buy ingredients for a meal and a plant. The other, after all, had died.
She walked in to find the young Vongola boss standing over his guardians, most of which were down for the count. The Varia seemed worse off behind them, but she guessed that was because Tsuna didn't think talking to them would really matter in the long run.
But to his guardians, Tsuna's words definitely counted. That's why, she guessed as she walked to the staircase to watch the spectacle with Reborn, the Vongola boss had bothered to keep them conscious as he lectured them.
They weren't too badly beat up, Bianchi thought. Chrome was completely unscathed, but she was sitting on the ground next to Ken and Chikusa (had they been here all along?). Rokudo Mukuro smiled grimly at Tsunayoshi, leaning on Chrome's back.
Yamamoto and Ryohei seemed to be intent on keeping their bodies still as they sat with both their legs underneath them, a strict posture for discipline. Hayato's legs were bent in the same position, but he had his head touching the ground (apologizing?).
Hibari could not be forced to sit down, it seemed, but it certainly looked like he needed to. He leaned on an unbroken (but not very stable) wall, holding himself up through pure willpower.
"Stop burning down my room. Avoid wall collision—no. If you're going to fight, you are to do so outside or in the god damned training room I asked Giannini to build for this exact reason! Don't pick a fight..."
Tsuna rambled on, but Bianchi could tell the guardians were taking his words very seriously despite Yamamoto's smile, Mukuro's arrogant posture, and Hibari's condescending glare.
The Vongola boss eventually ran out of words and simply glared at his quiet guardians. He let out a huff and turned to a nearby couch next to Xanxus (who was still asleep).
"The Simon are coming over tomorrow and I'm going to call my mom. You are all going to greet her with a nice, normal, clean, and whole house while Enma and his Famiglia eat brunch with us. Understood?"
"Of course, Tenth!"
"Sure thing, Tsuna."
"Extremely!"
"Sure sure."
"Yes, boss!"
"Wao," Hibari grinned bitterly, but assented.
Tsuna sat down on the couch and crossed his legs, laying his head on a convenient pillow. His flames died out completely. Natsu was on his shoulder in no time, snuggling into the crook of his neck, ready for a nap. They were both asleep before anyone could move again.
"He didn't even give them permission to stand again, dame-Tsuna," Bianchi heard Reborn mutter, but a smile graced his lips.
Bianchi also smiled, uncaring of the shuffling guardians beneath her. She grabbed Reborn's hand (he was taller than before now) and accompanied him to his room.
"I bought a new plant for you," she informed. "I know you just came back from a long trip, so I'll let you sleep, but when you wake up there will be a meal filled with love waiting for you!"
Reborn didn't wake up till the next day. Neither did Tsuna, for that matter, so Bianchi guessed the mission had been very tiring after all.
The End.
You can imagine whatever language you want to, that's why Gokudera never called Tsuna "Jyuudaime." However, Reborn and Lambo are definitely saying the names in Japanese (Ahodera and dame-Tsuna). This was fun ^^
Also, Reborn wasn't nearly tired enough to sleep through the day and night. He just didn't want to eat Bianchi's cooking. The next morning, Tsuna bumped into Enma's chin as he woke up and they both had to wear bandages as they said hi to Nana and Iemitsu (his dad was forced into taking vacation time), but the house is whole, so it's fine.
Xanxus eventually walked away, leaving his subordinates on the ground. They're fine. Mammon went back to sleep.

Skyfall - Angoscia [A KHR Fanfic] Chapter 2: The Pillars of Vongola
Tis Bubblesss! XDD Welcome to the second chapter of Skyfall – Angoscia!
KHR does not belong to me; it belongs to the awesome Akira Amano!
- Beta'd by chewybillabong~~
Now snuggle up and enjoy!
Tsuna's heart thumped uncontrollably in his chest like a jackhammer on steroids. Tsuna swore he heard a crack from one of his ribs directly in front of his racing heart. "R-Reborn?!" He gasped in utter surprise. He did not expect him to answer his hails at all, and yet there he was, joining in the group screen meeting. Well, not exactly because he was audio only.
Both Takeshi and Hayato shared similar reactions, but their hearts were beating more like rubber hammers rather than jackhammers against their ribs. Their eyes expanded double their size, mouth agape with surprise and shock. Tsuna hoped that their eyeballs wouldn't suddenly roll out.
And then another voice came through; "Uncle? How does this game work?" a feminine voice asked, most likely asking Reborn.
Tsuna immediately recognised the voice, the voice of a girl that produces the same sky flames as him, the Decimo of the Giglio Nero Famiglia, the girl that sacrificed her life in order to revive the deceased Arcobalenos in a parallel world. "Y-Yuni-chan?!" Tsuna gaped at the audio.
"Hmm? Is that Tsuna?" There was the sound of a faint ruffle, and miraculously it could be heard over the brain-rattling background noise. "Uncle, are you calling Tsuna right now?" Yuni asked, piqued with curiosity when she heard a small voice from her Uncle's earpiece.
Reborn spoke up. "Yes, we are." He answered lightly. "I was hoping to keep our promise today, but a troublesome ex-student decided to hold an important meeting."
'After all the other meetings that I asked - pleaded you to attended, you finally decided to join!' Tsuna huffed internally. He was very annoyed and slightly angry at Reborn for ignoring all his previous calls, where all of them were as important as the one he's holding now.
Yuni's voice travelled out from the speakers again. "It's okay Uncle, you can always teach me how to gamble another time. Plus, gambling doesn't seem like my kind of thing, but it is pretty fun." She replied, completely happy to let Reborn participate in the Vongola meeting. "You've already made this a great birthday, Uncle!"
Tsuna was already shocked enough that Reborn finally decided to partake in this, and now, from what he's heard, he's introducing gambling to this little angel?! As if Gamma would allow that to happen! But then again…he hasn't heard Gamma's voice from the audio just yet.
"Reborn! Why are you letting her gamble?!" His voice rose whilst he fussed. "We all know gambling can turn into an addiction and is she even old enough-"
"Maa maa Tsuna, I'm sure they have their reasons." Takeshi cut in before they all got an earful of Tsuna's complaints about mental health and all sorts, probably moving onto something off topic along the way. He gave a quick smile for effect. He was relieved that Tsuna was still awfully wary about everyone's health, even after all these years of being in the cold and ruthless mafia world, and he was thankful for that. He hoped that his caring and kind nature won't disappear… "But teaching Yuni gambling sure is peculiar."
"Oi, shut up baseball idiot. Juudaime's right." Hayato retaliated, defending his dear boss, in which he (thinks) already wrongly offended today. He wanted to somehow compensate for his shameful actions, and keeping a sword freak quiet was one way of compensating.
A small giggle chimed from Yuni as she listened. "Tsuna-san, I'm eighteen already, and don't worry," she informed, "I'm only trying gambling because I am finally old enough to do these things." She purposely left out the fact that she's already tried a small glass alcohol earlier on too, just in case Tsuna doesn't start worrying his head off.
"Oh god, I'm so sorry Yuni-chan! I forgot that today was your eighteenth birthday." Tsuna exhaled. He pressed his right hand to his forehead and rubbed it slowly. "I guess my memory's starting to degrade too." –'I need to now shake the rust off both my HDWM and my memory.' He was going to say that he should retire, but remembering Hayato and his little episode of drama beforehand, he decided to keep quiet.
Tsuna's phone, which was placed on the table, vibrated. The screen displayed a text message from Lambo. Tsuna had previously told him that if he had any tests for school during the designated time for the meeting, education should always be his priority.
Coincidentally, being at the nostalgic age of twelve, he had many grading tests, and toady was one of those days where almost every period had a goddamn test.
Lambo: frikkin test day today. Can't join. Whatever you're thinking, go with your gut. Don't worry, I'm not texting u during a test, it's 5 min break rn.
Tsuna exerted a small sigh and placed his phone aside. "Lambo's busy." He announced to his group. 'Go with my gut feeling, huh?'
"Stupid cow." Hayato muttered in distaste. 'Idiot! Juudaime's rarely holds a meeting with all his guardians, and you don't attend!'
Before Hayato could go on a rant about how lazy and idiotic Lambo is for not joining the meeting, Tsuna averted to another topic whilst they waited for the others to appear-
Just on cue, another part of the screen flickered on, sparing Tsuna from probably going off topic. A serene scenery appeared, and a very familiar yellow bird flew from somewhere outside of the screen and landed on a shoulder.
Who's shoulder?
A voice, cold and toneless, slithered ominously out from the speakers. "Herbivore, I will bite you to death when I come back." It growled dangerously low. The person, who's wearing a black yukata, glared murderously through the screen and right through Tsuna's soul.
Tsuna felt a shiver run down his spine. "Hibari!" Tsuna exclaimed in surprise.
Indeed, it was the one and only tenth generation cloud guardian of the Vongola Famiglia.
'Does Hibari usually introduce himself with a threat?' Tsuna questioned himself. He has long grown out of shaking in fear whenever Hibari appeared. This was possibly due to the fact that Hibari has already lost countless times to Tsuna when sparring with him, maybe also because he's already been with him for more than seven years. During those years, he's seen a lot of his guardian's raw emotions, including Hibari's (which Tsuna promised not to tell anyone).
Though a certain storm guardian was not going to take that threat lightly. "Bastard! Did you just threaten Juudaime!?" Hayato vexed with anger. "How dare you!" He clenched his fists tightly and took a firm step towards Hibari's screen.
Takeshi overlooked the situation with slight amusement. He always does. "Gokudera, calm down." He called, but Hayato refused to listen. Hayato continued the glaring competition with the independent cloud.
Hibari glared death at Hayato's advancing figure. "I will bite you to death after I bite that herbivore to death." He seethed with vicious threat.
"Like hell that's going to hap-" Hayato was going to shoot back a sharp reply, but immediately fell silent after Tsuna commanded him to stop, almost like an obedient puppy.
"Gokudera! Shh!" Tsuna hissed, but gently. 'Why is my family still so hard to manage, even after all these years?' sighing, he thought about how synchronised Dino's men are compared to his. His guardians are like barbaric animals compared to them. "Ah, um… Hibari, why do you want to bite me to death…Do you not like the mission I gave you to go to Japan?" He asked, voice ending higher to signify that he was diffident about his question.
Tsuna swore he heard Reborn stifle a laugh. He was missing something important.
There was no reply, so instead, he continued elaborating. "Did something happen? Did I forget something-" That seemed to strike something. The muscle under Hibari's right eye twitched slightly with annoyance.
Takeshi observed the background to Hibari's screen carefully, then gave a small laugh as he figured something out; possibly why Hibari wanted to bite Tsuna to death. His lifted his eyebrows in amusement. "Ahahaaa~!" He laughed heartily, "It's been so long since then Hibari-san! Are you still-"
Hibari's now frightening gaze immediately snapped towards the rain guardian, as if telling him to shut up or else things were going to happen. And those things would be painful.
Sad thing is that this is a video conference and each of them were in different places around the globe, so he couldn't slip out his tonfas and start beating some proper discipline into those disobedient herbivores. But since screen travel isn't in fully working order yet (Giannini's actually inventing the device – though it's probably going to be very dodgy), he spared one last murderous look towards Takeshi.
Never did the group know that a pair of secretive mists were already watching all this action from the very start. "Ara ara~ never knew this skylark still cowers from Cherry Blossoms~" A tall, lean person with the signature midnight blue pineapple hair-do gracefully emerged from a purple mist behind Tsuna's seat and stepped into the open. He trailed a hand possessively around Tsuna's shoulder and under his chin, smoothly skimming his neck with brisk fingers. "Heh~"
All Gokudera could see was a long whisk of dark blue hair that trailed from a figure dressed in black, before finally realising that his dear boss was taken hostage by a damned old pineapple. "What the fuck!" He unintentionally swore from shock.
Tsuna wasn't exactly surprised that his mist guardians travelled back from Russia via their handy mist travel, in fact he already knew they were in the room through his Hyper Intuition. But for Mukuro to suddenly wrap his arms around him almost like a protective python? Oh hell no.
"M-Mukuro!" Tsuna gasped because of the hand that was touching his neck, then his mind wondered off to what Mukuro mentioned- 'Hibari doesn't like Cherry Blossoms?-' Then he remembered the time when Mukuro was still their enemy and how Hibari got injected with Cherryitis. 'Oh…I forgot…and it's April too…Oops.' He grimaced, 'But I'll deal with that later!'
His eyes flickered down and saw a trident's tip advancing towards the exposed skin on his neck, dangerously accurate. Without hesitation, he grabbed the hand with a firm hold and smashed it harder than anticipated on the table in front. If his hand didn't immediately pin Mukuro's other hand against the table, he would have been pricked by his small trident, which would mean that Mukuro would've successfully possessed him.
"Oya~ I thought I was going to succeed this time." The mist guardian purred. "You're getting stronger, young Vongola, and that just makes me want your body more~" He gave a satisfied smirk and hopped back, freeing his arm in the process.
Hayato's fuse finally broke. He failed. He was a failure as the right hand man to the world's boss of the strongest mafia Famiglia. "YOU BASTARDDD!" He broke into a run, charging with pure hatred and rage towards the idiot that dared to touch his boss, and he didn't care if he was the mist guardian or not.
The room wasn't that big, and with the speed of a professional Mafioso, he could've tackled Mukuro in less than a second. But Tsuna was definitely not going to let that happen, considering how much of a pacifist he is. And he simply hated his guardians hurting each other. He never really liked this mafia business from the very beginning, but since Primo's blood was flowing through his veins, it made him awfully good at all this even if he didn't like it.
Tsuna kicked back in his leather chair so that it wheeled right between raging Hayato and smirking Mukuro. Hayato, of course, couldn't react fast enough to stop, but Tsuna expected that.
Just as the silverette was going to ram into Tsuna who was calmly sitting down in his chair, the brunette grasped the other's arm with soft precision. Using his other hand, he gently palmed Hayato's stomach which, adding to the momentum of him charging, caused him to flip into the air, his legs forming a graceful arc. In a split second later, Hayato changed from a raging storm that was going to beat the crap out of Mukuro, to a stunned octopus standing upright on the other side of Tsuna's office chair.
Hayato blinked. He was sure he was going to bang right into Tsuna, yet he was standing still, completely balanced, next to him. "Gah." He felt as if he went to heaven and back for a moment. 'JUUDAIME JUST DID SOMETHING AMAZING! A-and…woah…' He swayed on his legs before staggering forwards, slumping against the wall next to the loathed pineapple. His resentment for him hasn't ebbed away just yet.
"Juudaime, why do you still trust this guy? He might turn out like Daemon." He fumed. "He's going to grab your body and betray us." Hayato has been extremely touchy about this subject ever since Daemon's 'visit', and no one really blamed him for suspecting Mukuro, but that doesn't mean they agree with him either.
Tsuna glanced at Hayato, unhanding Hayato's arm as he previously staggered away, and smiled slightly. "Gokudera, it's ok. Mukuro isn't Daemon." He stated firmly. "I trust him, like I do with all of you too."
Hayato side-glanced with minor embarrassment, forming a small pout on his lips. He was Tsuna's all-knowing right hand man yet his boss was indirectly pointing out his flaws. He pressed his brows down, forming a flustered frown. Instead of wallowing in his discomfiture, he averted his attention to Mukuro. "Tch, If only I can punch you in the face for what you've done."
"Please, no violence." Tsuna exclaimed wryly, "Hibari, I'm sorry for making you go to Japan. So please calm down." He wheeled himself back to his table and rested his elbows on top, a boss-like posture.
Hibari indeed did look like he was going murder the entire population of pineapples, face twisted into a ruthless growl, mouth pulled into a line as taught as a drawn bow. But the hunter instincts in him clicked, telling him that if he doesn't settle down he will be the one hunted instead.
Tsuna held the video conference as a meeting, not a simple gathering and he's about had enough of the drama. As nice and caring as he is, his years as boss made him somehow relentless.
"Chrome, we'll discuss your trip to Russia later on, but for now, please come out. I need your opinion on this matter too." - 'Because we're a family, after all. I can't leave you out even if Mukuro's already here.'
Reborn gave an impressed grunt, and Yuni could be heard 'wowing' in the background at how boss-like Tsuna acted just then. It was like Tsuna had finally turned into a decent boss. They seemed to have moved from the noisy casino to a place without all the interfering cacophony.
A female appeared out from a cluster purple mist, similar to Mukuro's, and nodded her head with acknowledgement towards everyone. "Bossu…we're back. The information we received was odd." She informed briefly. Chrome, dressed in her light purple spring casual wear, took her respective place next Mukuro.
A few seconds of impregnable silence passed, but Takeshi broke it. "Hmm," he hummed, leaning back in his comfy and spacious first-class seat. "I guess it's only Sasagawa senpai now." He indicated unobtrusively.
"Tch, stupid turf-top." Hayato rested a leg across the other and crossed his arms. "Keeping us waiting." He muttered.
"Well, he is the busiest out of all of us, being the 'healer' and all. He's been travelling to places to people in desperate need of being healed." Tsuna defended his sun guardian righteously. Ryohei was indeed the busiest out of all of them, excluding Tsuna of course. Tsuna was busy, but just not in a way where he used his flames excessively until his body gave out.
As if coincidences have graced the Vongola for the day, Tsuna's phone rang, buzzing obnoxiously loud on the table. He instinctively reached out for his phone, thinking, 'whoever is calling my personal number…something must've happened to them.' He nearly dropped it when he saw that it was Ryohei calling.
This meant something bad. His guardians would only call him in the case of extreme situations, and when he means extreme, he means fractured bones, internal and external bleeding, things aren't going as planned, war or possibly even a kidnapper bantering for something in exchange for a hostage – i.e, one of his guardians.
He was almost afraid to pick up, but if he didn't he would possibly be putting a life in danger. Ryohei's life. Tsuna would rather jump off a cliff all chained up rather than putting his guardians in danger.
His family is everything to him, his treasure, his pride, his hope, his life.
Before the phone would fully slip out his hand due to how weak and shaky it got all of a sudden, he pushed his finger resolutely down on the big, fat, green button, almost like the judgement swing of a gavel. He brought his hand up hesitantly, pressing the phone lightly against his ear.
The guardians may seem completely uncaring towards each other's wellbeing and hardhearted, not considerate and being complete assholes when someone did something they didn't like (excluding Tsuna himself, Ryohei and Takeshi; they were always cool with each other), they were quite similar to Tsunderes. They may look constantly pissed on the outside, but inside, they really do care.
Despite everyone's stern expression, each of them fidgeted slightly in some way when Tsuna reached for his ringing phone.
Tsuna opened his mouth, hesitating and taking in a breath before shakily breathing out, introducing himself over the phone. "H-hello, Sawada Tsunayoshi spea-" But before he could finish it, a voice erupted from the phone, cutting in.
"Ah! Good afternoon to the EXTREME Sawada!..." A belated, flamboyant and loud voice shouted louder than needed. "I apologise for calling you instead of EXTREMELY finding my laptop-" a stifled loud yawn rang through, breaking the sentence. "I'm feeling too EXTREMELY tired right now…to even keep my eyes open."
Hearing the voice of his energetic sun guardian being completely fine (only a little tired – actually, maybe very tired), and not writhing in pain, lifted ten tonnes from his shoulders and heart. He sighed, eyes fluttering to a close in pure relief.
Though, he wasn't particularly glad that Ryohei was tired to the point where he can't even keep his eyes open, considering how much of a lively and energetic person he is.
"It's…it's fine. Oh god Ryohei, you gave me a huge scare just then." Tsuna let your breath out of relief. He slouched back into his chair, shaking subsiding a little. "I'll connect you to the interface, give me a sec…"
With great effort, he heaved himself from his seat and walked over to a slick black box with cables protruding from it. He found the cable that could connect with his phone and plugged it in. Within a few milliseconds, the link was secured and an audio-only interface appeared on one of the monitors.
The guardians calmed down too; Hayato took in a slow breath, then exhaling just as slowly, body relaxing against the wall. Hibari leant back and propped back a hand, looking his usual 'Don't annoy me' resting face though his gaze was still sending death threats to the idiotic long-haired pineapple. Mukuro only smirked, as mysterious as ever. Takeshi gave a distinct sigh before putting on a smile again.
"Ahh…Sorry for being late guys, I just arrived at the hotel EXTREMELY tired." Ryohei exclaimed stridently, though obviously sounding very weary. There was a faint ruffle, the sound of a wooden chair being dragged then a 'plop'.
"Ok, well then." Tsuna returned to his seat, gracefully sitting down and finally taking out the envelope after nearly half an hour of waiting in his inner breast pocket. "Gokudera. Come here." He called imperatively, holding out the letter out to him. "The meeting is now starting."
Hayato pushed himself from the wall and uncrossed his arms, slipping out his reading glasses. He stood sternly next his boss and took the letter, briskly taking out the letter from the envelope. The room was no longer filled with its previous clatter of triviality, instead, the atmosphere did a 180 and it was now saturated with formality.
And Hayato started reading.
It was around 6 PM when Ryohei woke up again, and by then the meeting had finished ages ago. Streaks of elongated light which had found its way past the curtains marred the carpet, almost like fresh scars against skin. The sun guardian found himself slumped on top of the roll-top desk which he sat at just after he called Tsuna.
Ryohei uttered a small groan as he lifted his head up, and it felt like lead. "Ahh…I must have EXTREMELY fallen asleep during the meeting..." he pointed out to himself. He could feel himself dozing off again, back to the wonderful realm of sleep, but he wasn't going to let that happen just yet, not until he checks his phone for important messages.
Slapping his bandaged hands to his face with force, he made sure his cheeks stung enough to keep him awake. Tiredly reaching out a hand, he slowly reached out for his phone and reeled it back in as if his hand was a fishing rod that has caught a big and adamant fish.
He sluggishly manoeuvred his fingers around the edge, searching for the power button, and when he finally found it, he pushed. The screen immediately burst on, streaming with blinding light.
"Gah! Too bright!"
He squinted and indeed, there were messages. Quite a few messages from Hayato about the content of the meeting which he missed half of, and surprisingly, one from Takeshi.
Takeshi never texts. He usually doesn't have much to say, and if so, he would use some other sort of media.
'Well, this better be something EXTREMELY interesting…'
He selected Takeshi's message, inputted his million letter long password, and then read.
I have a bad feeling about Tsuna going to the meeting. Get back to the Vongola mansion as soon as possible. I think we need a doctor on site just in case…
'We need a doctor.' Was the first thing Ryohei noticed. He was definitely confused. But over the years, he's learnt that Takeshi had the potential as a hitman, possibly even as strong as Reborn, and he's possibly even more observant than an eagle.
Touché! I get that organised early tom morn.
Before his eyelids' muscles were going to give out, he put one last effort into pressing 'send' and as he did, his head helplessly clashed with the table top, returning to his long, tiresome journey of replenishing his flames.
Depending on how much I write, next chapter will be quite eventful ;P It will take about 2 – 3 weeks, as assignments are drowning me.
