How exactly did AU cannelloni adopted a Rabbit, a Spider, and a "Bear"?

Sam was given into Giordano's care, after he was hurt badly by a group of animal tormentors, the vet taking care of young Sam told Giordano not to have much hope.

Hover Giordano insisted to at least try his best, so that the little rabbit wouldn't pass away lonely and without anyone around.

As if it was a miracle, Sam recovered, however, Giordano notes that Sam is acting, different than the rabbits he taken care before.

Wendy was brought to Nikolai by a family who had caught the spider in their home, but their children insisted and begged them not to squish the spider, and so the family brought said spider, who the children nicknamed "Wendy" to Giordano.

The spider was, an invasive species, and so there were only two choices here, make sure it is in an enclosure...or get rid of it.

Despite the sanctuary, more being one for, mammals, Giordano of course accepted and took care of Wendy, building for her an own enclosure which is now in the office space.

Sometimes he carries her around to the other enclosures so she and the other animals can see each other.

In this AU, Carlos, is not in Judes mind, and Jude is still himself.

Which means, that there is a, lion, Giordano has to take care of.

Carlos was rescued from a person with too much money who got himself a few, exotic pets, with Carlos being one of them.

And while the owner took care of his "pets", it of course was absolutely illegal and one day the owner got arrested, either way for keeping animals he shouldn't have, or for some other offense.

The animals got split, and somehow, Giordano ended with Carlos.

The lion sees himself as the king/leader of the other animals, and often acts that way.
