hello everyone.

time to spread my wentori agenda here too so i will start with meme.

i tried to draw hsr Wendy but I think I failed😭😭😭😭

She looks gothic

Wendy in GGZ was a girl raised as a labrat to become a Herrscher and destroy humanity. However she is still a very playful person who does anything by her will and capricious urges, and even though she never truly realizes her hatred for humans was indoctrinated, her only moments of freedom and discovery by little things with Totori (the most important person to her who really cared about her wellbeing) are the most precious until her very last moments. Wendy has a tragic ending because she was so close to being redeemed multiple times and yet she went away back to zero. but at least she died in Totori's arms and confessed her last words to her.

Wendy is also a victim of unlucky circumstances and not being loved enough to be saved in HI3rd. She really thought she could trust Bronya to give her life so they could be together, and Bronya would have wanted it too, but Wendy's writing reduced her as a plot device.

In ver 1.8 a set of stigmata based on the Seven Deadly Sins went unrealeased, and Wendy was featured. And guess which sin they chose her out of all?

Envy.

They knew what they were doing. Wendy will forever curse everyone including the ones she loved because she was betrayed without knowing and will never be able to live a normal life. She's forever an experiment.

Her JP seiyuu in HI3rd is also the same voice of Collei, another victim of who saw her only as a tool to inflict of whatever they wanted for their own ends. At least Collei has a long, consistent, finished arc from the webtoon to Sumeru and the last events featuring her. (that one with Sucrose was so gooooood) It's so satisfiying seeing her grow as a better person despite she also did terrible mistakes. I'm definitely not crying internally cause Wendy never got that treatment while still being fascinated by characters who get done dirty by the metanarrative.

Should I also mention I fear for Venti the worst for its implications of being both as a standalone character and as Genshin's Wendy, with all his connections to his people, Istaroth, Celestia and the Tsaritsa? When will HoYo free him from the basement???? He's being hinting anything since the fucking betas!!!!!

I think we should stop acting like Venti on Genshin impact will die just because Wendy on GGZ died, is not needed to reminder that Wendy died on GGZ for purely plot roles and there's was plenty of meaning behind her character development, is been years and we all should know that hoyoverse dont kill characters just for the sake of killing them but making it obvious a reason to why they are doing that

Everytime I search "GGZ" on this platform is either people panicking towards that and is getting out of point that people don't look through characters backstory to understand the actual meaning behind their end.

I wrote a HSR Wendy FANLore idea because I want HSR Wendy.

My main hsr Wendy idea, is. Well because the Wendys from GGZ and HI3rd died and it end there and Venti probably gonna die too in the future. My idea is basically Wendy from hsr is a memetic entity because well she died in the real world and only exists through memories and thoughts. But she wants to be real again and doesn't want to just exists inside within memories and thoughts. In other words, my hsr Wendy concept is dead alive wendy. In other words, she dead but still playable like Misha.

I have concept design but I'm too lazy to actually finish it.

But here's the full lore thing

I'm gonna have to disappoint you in saying that I only know of one or two Herrschers from GGZ that aren't identical to hi3 and it's that body horror Herrscher of Lust that went around raping and murdering girls at Kiana's high school before trying Kiana, where she killed her in self-defense.

Then also that really badass character, Houraiji Kyushu also gets to be the Herrscher of the Void I think?

Mei gets a really ugly Herrscher of Thunder design.

I just don't know anything about GGZ and its wacky story where the world ends 3 times over and ever dies again and again. There's an ongoing fan project to translate the story into a VN for those who are interested but honestly, I'm not.

And unless Fly Me 2 the Moon had Herrschers (doubtful) those are all the Herrschers I know of outside of Honkai.

Within Honkai it's easy cause there are 14, but I'm not spoiling myself to figure out what the 13th Herrscher actually did. I'll do this in the Current Era order because those are the ones we actually know the hosts of.

I’m putting a cut because there’s a lot to say.

The Herrscher of Reason can construct basically anything they understand the structure of. They also have the ability to learn things much faster than a normal human can. Welt Joyce actually downloaded data into brain from Reanna that one time. They can also perceive more dimensions than a regular person. The Herrschers of Reason have been Welt Joyce, Welt Yang (Joachim Nokianvertannen), and Bronya Zaychik.

The Herrscher of the Void. She opens portals to Imaginary Space and as a treat she gets those Void Lances. Her powers seem to be related to Imaginary Space and the Imaginary Tree itself. Although they must be very limited because power like that is power over space and time. The Herrschers of the Void have been Sirin, the Herrscher of the Void (she doesn’t get a name other than her title), and Kiana.

The Herrscher of Thunder (anyone been here long enough to remember when it was Herrscher of Lightning) controls electromagnetism according to dialogue and descriptions. She makes lightning, thunderstorms, and time fracture is specifically stated to be one of her powers. Mei has gotten to do is magic away the Honkai’s influence multiple times. The Herrschers of Thunder have been Mei’s Herrscher personality and then Mei herself after she killed the Herrscher.

The Herrscher of Wind controls the air and weirdly enough light. Light is mentioned once and Wendy never uses it but a manga says that the Previous Era Herrscher of Wind bent light to make herself invisible. The wind powers are pretty self explanatory, change air pressure to create a blade of wind, make a tornado/hurricane to destroy an entire country, etc, etc. Wendy was the Herrscher of Wind and now she’s dead. RIP green Seele

The Herrscher of Ice makes things cold. So you’ll get frostbite and die is her superpower. She isn’t really elaborated on. Ana Schariac was the Herrscher of Ice/ Rimestar.

The Herrscher of Stars (Previous Era called it Earth) controls gravity. Creates singularities, in the Previous Era they wiped then entire of continent of Mu off the face of the Earth. The Current Era Herrscher of Stars was Chen Tianwu aka Owl. The Herrscher of Rimestar was a combination of Ice and Stars.

The Herrscher of Sentience controls the way people perceive reality. The Previous Era Herrscher of Sentience sent people into pleasant dreams they would never wake up from using certain words as triggers, like a memetic hazard. Despite Fu Hua not being the Herrscher of Sentience she does use the powers with the divine key Fenghuang Down. She once made a pseudo-Herrscher believe she was dead, and so she basically was. Otto used a mimicry of Fenghuang Down to completely rewrite Theresa’s memories of the Second Honkai War. Hua moves her mind into another body. The Current Era Herrscher of Sentience is Senti! Rather than making Hua into a Herrscher, the Honkai made a Herrscher into Hua due to the real Hua being absent.

The Herrscher of Domination/Legion: The Previous Era and Current Era versions are very different other than being a hivemind so I’ll separate them.

The Previous Era Herrscher of Legion took over 1000 bodies and each one of them had one very specific power from all the previous Herrschers. Aside from one attempt at assassination they were fairly brute force, just trying to kill MOTH unfront in one fight and getting obliterated by Dr. MEI with the Key of Blankness.

The Current Era Herrscher of Domination took over the bodies of people who were depressed, distraught, and otherwise hopeless and used their influence to create unrest across the world. Making companies go under, causing riots, collecting information from positions of power, trying to get governments to collapse. They had a bubble universe where the puppets that were controlling them would all meet and make plans. The puppets themselves were being puppeted by a completely inhuman being that might have been the Herrscher proper or just another extension of its will.

Here is where we reach Herrschers that haven’t appeared yet in the Current Era.

The Herrscher of Binding is the Anti-Herrscher. She was the weakest Herrscher of the Previous Era but she stopped all Honkai energy powered things from working leaving them with next to no countermeasures. Over time it even stops bioelectric processes from occurring which will cause a human body to shut down and die.

The Herrscher of Corruption was sentient virus. She created flesh eating zombies (VERY different from the part-Honkai beast zombies that you normally see) and can also act as a computer virus. She also REALLY fucked up a fox to make Hellmaru. She was RIN, SAKURA’s sister.

Don’t know shit about the 13th Herrscher other than it was Elysia.

The Herrscher of the End doesn’t have any specific powers, she just acts as a plot device to be more powerful than all that remains of humanity and destroy the Previous Era.

Since Mihoyo hasn't given us a Wendy battlesuit yet, I went ahead and did it for them /hj

This took something like 8 and a half hours T_T but it was honestly some of the most fun I've had with an art project (more of an edit tho) in a pretty long time!

I've got a lot of thoughts to share regarding Wendy but that's a story for another time, for now I'm just posting the edits and I'll share those thoughts another time >.<
