I saw your update on the parrot coven and it got me thinking, can a type 2 familiar have a type 1 familiar? if so then scar can have a Jellie 😄 also Grian was exciled from the coven, why didn’t he go back home? making pearl worry smh🥺

I’m also wondering if other characters will make an appearence, and if grian starts a coven of his own- the parrot coven maybe?😏

last one, Grians parents are welloff, do they end up looking for him? or hire someone to look? or they straight up abandoned him?

as for why grian didn't go back home after being exiled, there's probably a few different ones, but the Main reason is he was hurt and angry after being kicked out of the coven. and the way it happens.... well, I wouldn't want to go back home either if it had been me :')

they do end up looking for him, yes! I think that grian writes letters to pearl while in the coven, and he lies to her about how well he's doing so that she doesn't worry about him. but one day the letters just stop coming and naturally pearl is the first to go looking. their parents help her at first before eventually giving up :')

After living a few decades I find it hilarious that there are people who believe their situation in life is in any meaningful way tied to their actions

You could "make" the "right" decisions your whole life

There really is a world of difference between critically interrogating worldviews and bullying. If you feel bullied by someone, politely and sensitively, questioning your position then maybe you lack basic critical thinking abilities or a firm foundation.

One of the ways I "tested" myself was following some rudefems who were anti-even having the word "trans." Even some that really just liked bullying people that looked different or some that just liked bullying everyone (t*ppd*ke lol) and what I learned was, I didn't fall to pieces if someone doesn't believe what I believe or do what I do. I can't say I would have had that same response when I was younger, more fragile and sensitive, but it's true now. As you grow you really do mature and learn to engage with different people with different perspectives. And that's ok. It doesn't have to consume you. I definitely don't suggest following mean-spirited bullies or people that enjoy being cruel and hurtful to unconventional or nonconforming people. I'm not even suggesting following people that disagree with your opinions (have a fun dashboard lol) but I am suggesting that if you're an adult who feels serious distress over someone with a different perspective on gender then maybe you aren't being well served by your current perspective if it can't handle a lil questioning.

takes you to a cozy kind of place in hogsmeade

probably just the three broomsticks or something

but it's nice, especially after the first time he tried to go over the top and messed things up Imao

doesn't put that much planning into it, but to be honest you both don't really care so long as you're spending time with each other

the date could be in the Gryffindor common room or the shrieking shack, it really doesn't matter

Ocassionally the girls and the marauders will crash your date but James will always make up for it, planning a different date that the others don't know about lol

SIRIUS

so often the date will be something weird sirius read about (what the hell is a carnival?) or things lily told him about (road trips are the worst.)

book-shopping!

it doesn't matter what book you're looking for, or if you even end up buying anything.

you guys like to find new shops to go to, but at school, there's a cute used books shop in hogsmeade that is much cozier than flourish and blotts in diagon alley, which always had a weird vibe towards it.

the two of you go to that shop so often that once you went there alone, gloomy and sullen, and the witch at the front desk said, "trouble with Remus, dear?"

REGULUS

Regulus loves fancy dates.

every time it will be different.

even if it's somewhere normal

once, you had a date in the astronomy tower, and Regulus had bewitched fairies to twinkle like lights; also had a very expensive bottle of elf-made champagne and a fancy picnic basket with rare and expensive foods that were all delicious.

he also likes to spoil you during the date.

he'll always get you little bejewelled gifts or dresses that look like they could cost fourtunes.

and the date always ends with regulus walking you back to the girls dormitory in the slytherin common room, placing a kiss on your lips; it doesn't matter who's watching, and sometimes even joining you there.

he's very romantic lol

LILY

Lily prefers study dates

though half the time you actually get work done and the other half you get absolutely no work done at all

for instance, she's often able to help you

with your homework.

other days, you'll just be distracted by each other

Like, she'll just stare at you randomly

apparently, there's this thing muggles do called ice-skating

you were dubious of it when you saw how large the blades on the shoes were

but when mary led you onto the black lake, which had been frozen over, you found ice skating was a beautiful sport.

you would fall over the first ten times at least bringing mary with you, because she'd insisted on holding your hand

she doesn't get upset once, she laughs every time

except for the times you nearly maim yourself

but by the time you finally learn how to properly skate, it's already dark out, and you're gliding across the ice.

there's just something about Quidditch and high tea that screams a date with Marlene Mckinnon.

Marlene is fairly welloff, so after quidditch in the backyard (which consists of both you clinging on to your girlfriend's back on a broom and having several close-calls with a bludger), she treats you to a fancy high-tea

her living room is completely cleaned out, and the dining table has been fashioned into a fancy eating area

the food, finger things, an assortment of teas, macarons and sandwiches, are laid out in pretty little clusters, colour-coordinated when possible, on beautiful vintage turn tables, thanks to Marlene's house-elf.

the two of you try and set the mood by behaving very lady-like, but fail immensly.

you're exhausted and starving from the Quidditch, who can blame you?
