isn't it weird how if you get up at 7 or 8, do your work all day, then have free time and go to bed at 11 that's absolutely fine

but if i said i get up at 10, do fun stuff in the morning then work in the evening and go to bed late, i could be called lazy, nevermind that i'm getting just as much or MORE work done as i would in a traditional work day

fionna's world being represented by a dandelion makes so much sense ... they're weeds. yet people make wishes through them, changing their whole meaning from something meant to be destroyed to something hopeful.

dandelions are also resilient and it makes sense that something associated with them would. you know. perservere despite the destruction caused by the scarab.

but ultimately i think what REALLY made me tear up over this is that dandelions are really boring plants. when you're a kid you blow on them and make your wish but they're not eyecatching or anything but still, fionna's final wish was for her old world to still exist as it was when she left it (> plain and simple. boring even).

like the moment she realized she would lose her friends, and that her friends might forget each other if the world got its magic back, she immediately decided she didn't want it and I think that ties back to the dandelion metaphor so well... like, do you really need magic to be real to find it everywhere? or can you turn something boring into something magical?

Thranduil would be pissy about Legolas' Thing with Gimli and complain about the beard and how unkempt he perceives Gimli to be but he was letting an unwashed fisherman hit for like 36 years and proudly walking around with beard burn on his everywhere the entire time like an absolute harlot

I'll be real I just saw this outfit on a stuffed animal and wanted to draw him in something similar

"You can't ship MelVik because Mel was mean/looked down on/was classicist towards Viktor, and it's obvious Viktor doesn't get along with her because of how he looks at her!" But you ship JayVik, which equally has its moments of Jayce looking down on Viktor and carrying his own form of classicism, has his being mean or just inconsiderate here and there (and Viktor to him in vice versa), and even Viktor himself has been shown to argue or not always be on the same page as Jayce, but you have no problem shipping them together. This isn't about trying to influence people to ship MelVik, because whether you do or don't, the argument usually against it (or from what I've seen) from these certain types of fans is so surface level and often always paints Mel in this weird light like she's the sole perpetrator of everything bad in Viktor's life and/or acts like two characters suddenly disagreeing with one another is grounds for a ship being incompatible, even though worse things can happen between a pairing and they still will be enjoyed. And this argument is usually, even outside of Viktor, aimed towards ships involving Mel (eg. MelJay or Melvika) and it's not hard to know why, especially with how rampant misogynoir is in this fandom. Again, not saying you have to ship MelVik, but if your reason behind that is the excuse I listed above and you're aligned with the rest of this post....I need you to analyze that.

The fact that they both refer to events where a building is destroyed and people almost die as 'minor setbacks' is so funny to me lol

Also full disclosure I drew ghost Flora because she's short as heck and it worked better for putting these characters in the same frame to have her hovering, but the implications of Stockman just being able to see ghosts for some reason are also very entertaining to me

The thick fabric, neat detailing, and expensive trim—it looked like something from Gladrags, but with a more sophisticated, restrained style. The man’s stature also reminded her of Ominis, though this face held no familiar traits. Alyn pleaded for this pattern not to mean Gaunt, but to simply be a tailor’s logo or some abstraction. ・・・

・・・“Weird thing, that these myths and legends are in the Restricted Section,” Alyn commented, casting him a sideways look and tapping the spine of the book at the bottom of the stack. “I flipped through, but they seem like pretty gruesome, creepy tales. Seeking some bedtime stories?”

“Possibly,” Sebastian shrugged so dramatically indifferently that Alyn snorted in amusement. She kept her eyes fixed on him. He was usually the one who could stare through someone, but when she gave him the exact same look, he faltered like a child. ・・・

・・・Sebastian looked at Alyn again, his hands still stretched toward the flames. “So, how was the date?” A sly grin played on his lips. “Did you and Ominis discover something particularly delightful at Honeydukes?” ・・・

so interestingly enough, some ppl have been pointing out that maybe miles42 is slightly older than 1610 miles? and i was like "yeah maybe" but looking at miles42's face more and more lately i'm... i'm starting to see it? :o

like if you just compare the jawlines and cheeks, it actually looks like 42 lost some more of the baby fat 1610 still has

and even without the Dramatic Ink Lines, 42 still looks like he's older than 1610 by at least a little! he has slightly more defined cheekbones imo

its kinda hard to tell with limited camera angles and weird lighting tho. there's also the possibility that bc 42 lives in a household that's clearly struggling financially, one could argue he just happens to be not as well fed as 1610

not only that but the different murals they have of aaron in 1610 and jeff in 42 are also completely different. i've heard ppl pointing out that jeff's mural looked more worn out but actually.... the one thing that strikes me is how simplistic jeff's mural is.

almost as if someone younger than 1610 made it.... someone who lost their father at a younger age and started growing out their hair to braid it around that same time. someone who developed an effective routine with their uncle also around that time, and who's had it down pat by the time 1610 appeared in their universe...

but what do yall think?

do you make enough money from selling prints in etsy to sustain your life? how are you able to afford this beautiful house and time to crochet and go on walks and all of that? i’m not asking for nosiness but because i’m trying to figure out what i would need to do in order to make my life financially sustainable… is art an option… etc
