so she’s grown up on on the west coast p much ??? her whole life. her mom worked as a bodyguard for sum famous peeps, dad was doctor but occasionally also a medic in the field — they didn’t always see eye to eye and divorced when chris was around nine. it was mostly to do with chris’ future like whether she’d go to spy prep school and follow in their footsteps and her dad didn’t want that for her so they disagreed, and she lived with him instead, living a more or less normal life. her mom then moved away when the opportunity to become a professor at gallagher presented itself, so they’ve really not been close at all since then

lived fairly comfortably, either way her dad had money and her mom sent support too. her father definitely earns less from no longer being in the spy world but he vowed to leave that behind when he divorced his wife and other than a few people from his past popping up unannounced, he kept that vow. they moved around a couple times in order to keep chris safe, and especially when someone did find them ( even if it was friendly ) but mostly grew up in california, and a lot of it is to do with the fact chris loves it there so much

but chris knows about the spy world, what her mom does and the type of school she works at, but it never interested her enough to try and reach out or fight her dad on it as she enjoyed her life 

she remembers her mom as someone stubborn, argumentative, volatile which is the opposite of her dad who was patient, loving and endearing — so it’s a no brainer for her, she loves her dad a lot and he gave up a lot for her while her mom gave chris up for that world, her job, etc aka nada

BUT her dad died in a car accident recently that she was also in but was only a bit beaten up at most ( has some cuts / new scars, learn more below ) leaving her mother to swiftly pick her up and enrol her into gallagher, more to keep an eye on her than anything. 

her mom chose her majors and some of her classes for her, which chris is mad about, but mainly bc looking at what ones were offered she’d def pick macgyver anyway, and her mom argued p+e was a step into the physical and combat side of thing without being too heavy on it ( tho it’s the major she teaches so she’s biased and chris just thinks she wants to be closer ) but tbh ? chris just doesn’t want her mom to be right whatsoever or have the satisfaction of thinking she knows her daughter in anyway at all but she knows if she went undecided she’d probably pick those up again in her second year so she’s just ‘ going with it ‘ begrudgingly as if she has no choice

PERSONALITY

extremely stubborn, which she gets from her mom, would rather ruin her life than go back on something or admit she was wrong, if she apologises for something she'll find a way to do it where she's not actually ever saying the words ' im sorry ' or ' i was wrong ' and would rather start another argument than do that — but obviously she loves other people apologising to her

i THINK she’s only arrived, like, at the start of spring semester tbh, she wasn’t here for fall so she is new new

halfway through her first year at stanford studying art alongside film and media as a minor before her mom brought her to gallagher — which she's kind of not happy about like she understands her dad didn't want it for her, she also wanted to just stay in california but the only family she has now is on her mom's side.

she's still enrolled at stanford, though dropped her minor, and is studying online for her major as she's made it clear to her mom she doesn't want to be a spy so she pulled a few strings with the stanford admission board to allow her studying to continue ( idek if this is allowed i'm just pretending her mom is powerful enough to do it ) — it was a big reason chris agreed to come to gallagher, not that she had much of a choice, bc she wants her ‘ normal ‘ life and her ‘ normal ‘ degree regardless of being at a spy school

only her mom calls her christina and she actually hates it so pls dont unless you are trying to get on her bad side — also she probs avoids her mom like the plague so don’t bring that up either

often covered in little cuts and bruises from her skating but she’s got two fresh / soon to be scars on the left side of her face on the top of her cheek bone and on her jaw from a shards of glass when she was in the car accident — she is the type to pick her scabs until they bleed again, too, so i picture her with loads of little scars especially on her hands, elbows and knees

she did learn self defense from her dad growing up and she has studied jiujitsu and akido since she was around thirteen, she also boxes but it's more casual like for stress and stuff rather than something she takes overly seriously

Season 3 bad

Butch is very much an ideas person. After Steve Marmel left the show just went downhill. There was one writer that wanted it to go the grey ghost angle and another who wanted amethyst ocean and it just didn't work and then it got cancelled so the end relationship was so rushed it was terrible.

Changed the lore of his show half way through

So this is mostly Nick's fault, they thought the show being about ghosts was too gritty and they agreed to change it from being about real dead people who were once alive to monsters from another dimension. This is the change that Steve marmel was fired over iirc. Now we have ghost tornados. You can't just change lore like that half way through. Some people think that because he was born again midway through dp that he wanted this change to the lore so the dp universe wouldn't go against the bible's teachings. We don't know that for sure though.

Like JK Rowling returning with needless headcanons except they're not even an attempt at rep it's just "Jazz replaced her life and ambitions with being a lonely woman in a chair, while Maddie becomes a ghost pimp and Jack replaced half his body with robotics."

Remember how he destroyed Vlads character in PP? He still does it. It's like he doesn't remember his own show. In a 10 years later video, Jazz is completely out of character and the family is just okay with Maddie walking around with ghost slaves on leashes. The Fentons are genius' in their own right. It was so cute to see how awkward they were when she nearly fell down after kneeling for too long and he caught her. She still ended up hitting her forehead because they were so awkward about touching each other haha. Whoaaa, Angelo designed Lilac Court (the place where the heroine and all the guys live in)! Ooh I see, Nathaniel created this place for people striving to make their dreams come true so that they would have somewhere comfortable to stay in as they worked their hardest, and I guess that’s why all the love interests are kinda differentiated by the job they have?

Like, I do enjoy Angelo’s idea of understanding the sum of a person’s preferences to know what they’re comfortable in to know more about how they would like their house to be, but it’s difficult to have that date he had with the heroine with every client~ But I guess he only did that specially for her to show her, and in terms of her learning to perceive what is best for the Kaleido leopards from their perspective instead of just a human’s, this date was very useful for her to understand that so she can provide the best environment for them. Gotta admit that Angelo is pretty captivating though, that first CG is nice!😍 Next thing you know, Angelo’s gonna have designed every important building in this city loll! Anyway, not sure if I actually like how that gymnasium looks lol, but his intentions on wanting it to bridge intercultural connections through its design and everything sounds really cool. Like Yamato says, he doesn’t get it much design wise, but his thoughts of wanting to show and bring kendo to different cultures is a similar intention😆

Yamato is so honest and sincere with his words that it’s hard to resist… So cute when he was drunk and was saying how cute she was etc. He’s so forward in his own way! Although, I have to say, following him to his dojo and then taking up his offer of drinking sake with him and then drinking so much could be dangerous, heroine! You’re lucky he’s a good boy lol! It was so sweet when she told Angelo how she blacked out, fell asleep (Yamato fell asleep too!) and didn’t want to wake Yamato up so she came home alone, and Angelo said from now on he should tell her these things because he’d pick her up no matter where she is, how nice🥰 Not surprised that the guy Yamato was talking to harshly was a fellow kendo practitioner that considers Yamato as a rival because he keeps losing to him, and yet he doesn’t practice kendo properly and only wants to win through dirty methods. It was pretty cute when Yamato tried to ask the heroine to dinner but was shy XD

Wow, that rival guy is such a dirty prick. He actually hired people to go attack Yamato! It’s a win win situation either way as well, since if Yamato fights, he’ll be disqualified from the competition and if he doesn’t, he’ll get injured. Pretty disgusting behaviour for a sportsman. At least we got to see how brave Yamato was to protect the heroine from them all and to listen to her and not fight back since she wants to see him in the competition. It’s so cute how all the guys praise Yamato for being a good guy that can’t talk to girls properly but is very sincere, and lol at him being super honest when he gets drunk. Guess he really liked the heroine when he first met her lol. Lmao at everyone asking Angelo to add different recreational spaces, especially Miguel wanting a gigantic pool🤣 it’s kinda cute how Angelo seems to support Yamato’s love for the heroine but also likes to tease him about it by getting close to the heroine and making him jealous lol. I’m not surprised that Yamato is silly enough to forget there’s only one bedding haha. So cute when he tried to confess to her but couldn’t say it🤣 It was so like him to end up practising so that they wouldn’t have to fully share the bedding together whilst being awake lol.

Omg, metal pipes?! The heroine could have died! Lucky Yamato pushed her out of the way in time but as the cliche goes, his arm got injured and it’ll take a month to heal~ how will he participate in his tournament now? Well, as expected, he just pushed himself and won anyway because he’s awesome, even though his opponent was dodgy AGAIN by loosening that white band that keeps the bamboo sword together. AND as expected, it went with the cliche route of Yamato being nice and acknowledging his rival and the rival said he did all that crap because he thought Yamato never acknowledged him as one, so he apologises or whatever that I don’t care because no, that was very unsatisfactory! I’m so disappointed in how they ended the kendo part, like seriously? The guy did SO MANY THINGS that were crimes and that could have killed them and it was all because of something so silly that could be resolved in two sentences? He didn’t have any hatred, he was annoyed that he thought he wasn’t acknowledged. He’s even worst than I thought. If he was a downright guy that was obsessed with winning, yeah, I can see why he’d do all that, but no he wanted Yamato to acknowledge his skills as his rival? Can I ask, which part of him trying to cheat all the time would make anyone think he is a worthy rival? Why would they? Can this guy even reflect on his actions before blaming other people for not acknowledging him? Even to the end, he’s still just some selfish no name. The way they resolved it was just disappointing and disgusting because it doesn’t even address the problem properly. Ugh. Anyway, Yamato finally confessed and we’re done. Honestly, it was an all right route, but that ending just annoyed me. Yamato is your typical shy, determined and cute guy, but yeah, average route with an annoying story with the career part so yeah, I don’t think I like this route lol.

So I guess Angelo is the type that got so used to always asking for what people like and catering to them (due to his job), so he’s kinda forgotten about what he likes and wants? Loll, luckily Angelo was able to clear everything up about renovations before the demolition rumours got out of hand. I think the date the heroine prepared was very thoughtful and nice. She knew it’d be hard for him to choose stuff out of nowhere, so she prepared options for him to choose from as they went along the day and so everything they ended up doing was something Angelo would have liked to do or eat, it was very nice of her to do that imo. I feel like it was kindaaa ridiculous how they wanted to show that Angelo has emotions and can get agitated over the heroine through the construction foreman being annoyed at how Angelo and her was stopping them from working because the materials were cheap and crappy ones they didn’t ask for. Like, how dodgy can you get and how immature can you get to try and deal with the problem physically? And..they out the dodgy guy trying to profit from using cheap materials lol. I don’t know why the story decided near the end that they thought they should do something related to Angelo’s job so…superficially? It’s such a superficial problem to happen and was really unnecessary? It doesn’t add anything to Angelo’s character nor does it show his emotional growth? I feel like regardless of what happened with the heroine, he still would have acted the same way.

And they set up the guy to talk about all his wrongdoings whilst the police listen in, yep the villains are always so silly. Then Angelo confesses and stays in Kaleido, happy ending~ Yeah, that was really more bland than I thought. I honestly thought you’d get to see more of Angelo’s work life and style but instead they just added some random villain out of nowhere near the end to make some “problem” appear and then they get together. I also thought it was so boring how they got together, I felt like in the common route, Angelo and the heroine got along nicely and had more chemistry than Yamato, but once it came to his own route, it just felt so lacklustre with how things were handled. Tbh, even though I didn’t like the “problem” in Yamato’s route, I at least felt more feelings towards it than Angelo’s story, pretty disappointing😪

Everyone who has an ounce of commonsense is outside to enjoy the weather and the clinic is blessedlyempty of people who could judge you over the consequences of havingtwo part-metal boyfriends.

“I never did.” Genji says mockoffended, pressing his hand to his heart and looking to Jesse as ifhe can’t believe you would accuse him like this. Jesse taps hisforehead with the hydrophobic spray before liberally covering thebandage in it.

“You were thinkin’ it, pardner, andya know it. All done. Need some pain killers?”

You shake your head, the analgesicinfused with the bandages already doing its job.

“I’m good. Ready to go for a swim?”

Genji is. Jesse is not. After muchfussing and avoiding your questions he persuades you to use the poolrather than make the trip down to the beach where most of the rest ofthe team has set up. No one bothered to roll back the tarp keepingthe water clean, why when just ten minutes walking will lead them toa soft sand beach, property of Overwatch. It used to be that thewatercrafts arrived there, often in the middle of the night, assilent as the stealth planes. But that, bad memories of ops gone bad,blood in the water, is not the reason Jesse doesn’t want to go downthere. He doesn’t want to embarrass himself.

“Can’t swim.” he says when Genjitries to pull him into the water with him, stopping with his toes atthe edge of the pool.

“You’re kidding me.” Genji isabout to poke fun at him and Jesse’s mood - already dinged by youraccident with his prosthetic - is about to go sour. You swoop in forthe rescue.

“That’s okay.” You wrap your armsaround him, nudge his belly that got a little more pronounced sincehe gave up the wandering life for Overwatch. “Isn’t it,Genji?”He doesn’t need the warning look. Genji can beinsensitive on occasion, but even he gets the clue when he sees one.

“Sure. You can sit there and admireme. I’m basically a mermaid, you know?”

While you and Jesse sit side by side atthe edge of the pool, enjoying the water up to your knees, Genjipushes away from the edge and swims a few rounds. “Mermaidindeed.” Jesse says with a low whistle, watching Genji glidethrough the water as if he was born in it.

“Show-off.” you say when he returnsto where you sit and he kisses yours and Jesse’s calves until youpull them laughing out of the water.

“You love it.”

You do, that’s the problem withresisting his charms. Jesse has much the same problem and lies downon his stomach, catching a kiss or two from Genji whenever he comesup for air. Which, with his enhanced body, isn’t all that often.You know he wants you to join him, gather as much from the occasionalglance he throws you, but you don’t want to leave Jesse alone.

As if he’s read your thoughts hesays, pulling his hat into his face to obscure his eyes: “I don’tmind you joinin’ Genji, y’know. Looks like fun.”

“Maybe later.” you say and you bothknow that ‘later’ means conveniently after Genji has had enoughof water for a day. He smiles, appreciates the gesture and returns itby offering one of his own. The pool, used less for recreation andmore for workout amongst Overwatch’s agents, doesn’t have ashallow end but Jesse, gathering up all his courage, pulls off hisshirt and gets in anyways, clinging to the edge as hard as he can.

Genji is with him even before you are,placing his arms to his left and right, effectively caging Jesse.With their height difference it should look ridiculous, insteadthere’s never been a more inviting sight and you don’t waste timejoining in.

“We won’t let you drown.” you sayand gently coax him to rest his arms on the edge, easing his tensionwith deep kisses while Genji takes up the other side, steadying Jessewith one hand intertwined with yours.

“Just don’t ask me to move.” hesays, grinning uncertainly. “I’ll sink like a rock.”

“Don’t worry.” Genji says,patting Jesse’s stomach. “Fat floats.”

“You really want to sleep on thecouch tonight, don’t you?”

Genji shrugs and laughs and then divesunderwater to make up for all his teasing. He switches between youand Jesse, both of you learning there are unexpected benefits tohaving a boyfriend who can hold his breath absurdly long.

Unexpected, but mindblowing benefits,well worth the occasional burn.
