Admittedly, Chris’s laughter confused Martina. She was someone who had an emotional breakdown when her shoes were scuffed. “Oh my god!” she called on her friend’s behalf. “Here, wait, I can —,” Martina reached for her handkerchief and her stain remover pen, dabbing Chris’s shirt without invitation with both tools. “Do you need a new shirt?” The print was so busy that she paused, inspecting the stain. “Actually? It kind of blends in?”

“  o—oh my —  god . ”  chris  is  laughing  so  hard  right  now  she’s  actually  struggling  to  breathe ,  brows  contorting  at  her  friend’s  pen .  “  it’s  f—fin— i  can’t . ” martina’s  help  just  fuelling  it  as  she  continues ,  trying  to  get  her  words  out  as  she  shakes  her  head ,  hand  waving .  “  —  you  can’t  . .  ”  a  deep  breath  out .  “  even  tell  —  but   my  boobs  are  WET .  ”  cue  a  giggle  before  she  looks  back  at  the  pen .  “  what  even  is  that ?  you  just  carrying  one  with  you  at  all  times  ?  ”

“gold bars sounds like a really flashy and impractical way to get paid.” he pauses. “i like it.” if anyone should be paid in gold bars, it’s beyonce. “simple answer, i don’t think about protection and enforcement.” it kinda just sounds like cops to him.

chris  scoffs  a  bit ,  though  she’s  amused  because  she  expected  him  to  fight  her  there .  “  beyonce  seems  a  bit  flashy  and  impractical  to  me .  ”  chris  ends  up  laughing ,  it’s  the  champagne !  “  well ,  that’s  basically  what  it  is  — bodyguard...ing.  my  mom  teaches  it .  ”

      Hana blinks, surprised yet pleased by the compliments. If she didn’t know better she’d think the other was flirting with other. “Well, you’re being too nice, but thanks. I do really like this dress, even if it is a dress.” A beat. “I could go for a smoke — if you’re interested, that is.” Maybe she wants the buzz!

“  i’m  rarely  too  nice ,  hana  —  can’t  believe  you’re  complaining .  ”  she  scoffs  with  a  laugh  following .  “  it’s  a  nice  dress ,  it  really  suits  you .  ”  chris  says  softly ,  lips  pressing  together  as  she  admires  her  friend .  “  yeah ,  i’m  so  down .  ”  she  nods ,  letting  her  lip  catch  on  her  teeth  for  just  a  second  before  she  loops  her  arm  with  hana’s .

chris  snorts  quietly .  “  it’s  kind  of  funny ,  really . . .  i’m  just  picturing  sutton  as  leader  of  the  beyhive ,  yelling  at  trolls  on  twitter  or  something .  ”  her  lips  curve  into  a  smirk  .  “  are  you  hard  tonight ,  then ?  ”

“  wait ,  really  ?  ”  chris’  curiosity  is  genuine ,  perhaps  a  little  surprised ,  even .  “  that’s  actually  really  cool .  ”

chris  will  stare  stagnant ,  she’s  perfected  being  akin  to  a  statue  when  she  wants  to  be  so  while  lou  will  beg  and  pout ,  she  will  remain  still  ,  only  her  gaze  flickering  between  her  roommate  and  the  shoes  .  after  about  four  seconds ,  she’ll  sigh ,  finally  shaking  her  head .   “  what’s  wrong  with  my  docs ?  don’t  you  LIKE  them ,  lou  ?  ”  chris  squints  her  eyes  a  bit ,  how  rude .

      “You really do look so hot in that.” Hana comments, peering over the top of her drink. “Now you’re making me think I shouldn’t have resorted to the boring dress option.” // @oofchris​ 

her  smile  will  grow ,  bashful ,  cheeks  tinting  pink  before  she  shakes  her  head .  “  NO  —  you  look  so  good ,  hana .  like ,  if  i  look  hot ,  you  are  ,  like ,  literally  melting  right  now ,  that’s  how  hot  you  are—  er ,  hot  you  look  . ”  she  clears  her  throat .  this  is  exactly  why  chris  doesn’t  drink .

“  i  don’t  think  they’d  just  bring  it  up  casually .  they’re  probably  paying  her  in  gold  bars  or  something ,  no  questions  asked .  there  goes  all  hope  for  anymore  gardens .  ”  chris  sighs  sarcastically  .  ”  dude ,  what  do  you  think  protection  and  enforcement  is  ?  ”
