i know this pic is pretty old and canon may have changed since then but do you have a more hd version of the lineup of the color guardian generations over the years? its from 2022 on your deviantart but dA compressed it! id love to hear about the older teams, like anita's first squad
You mean this thing??
Honestly the other teams aren't super relevant outside of a few characters and I like the idea of leaving it vague enough that there could've been even more guardians embetween the ones here.
But yeah I can tell you a little about everyone!
-Anita was one of if not the first Color Guardians. She was actually very close to her Green specifically. They were Best Friends even before becoming Color Guardians(this leads to conflicts with Rin later because Anita tends to compare the two). Their group wasn't around for very long, no one knew the stakes or how serious everything was back then... That is until one colorless attack that ended with Robin dead and Anita having disappeared with a spark of light. Robin was cheerful and kind. Seeing him die left a bad mark on his teammates that they haven't let go of to this day.
-because of her disappearance Anita was assumed dead too. Both by Layla, the police and even her own family. Octavia showed up on the scene shortly afterwards. She never knew Robin or Anita, but Layla's trauma and the fact that it was just them two for the longest time left a deep impact on Octavia.
-Even after Octavia outgrew her role as Blue, she still worried for the next generation. She made a point to track down the next Blue to as soon as she could in order to teach him everything she knew. She's an adult now and teaches self defense classes to the general public, but also special classes for Guardians specifically. All the Blues have met her, and Chiyo even introduced her to Kimi so Kimi could get better at fighting. Layla wants nothing to do with the newer guardians, so Octavia avoids bringing them up, but the two do check in with one another still.
-The teams are generally organized by which Blue is active, because theres always an active Blue. I labeled him Remi up there but I eventually renamed him Russell, he's the second Blue. Much like Octavia, he spent most his time as part of a Duo, up until she was killed in the line of action. It was only near the end of his career as Blue that Nia and Charun became Colors. Nia met Sue a couple of times and can remember her fondly, but Charun never met her.
-Dimitri is also an interesting character. The only other Pink that anyones aware of, he was an active antagonist for most of his time. He often got in the way on purpose and would sometimes help colorless out just to see what would happen. With the power of friendship and gay tension he eventually turned a new leaf. Though not before Russell hit him with a car(they're married now).
-Marcy and Nia are the most relevant past Guardians to the modern group. Marcy has a tough start as Blue. Everyone on the team had been a Guardian longer than she had and already expected her to fill the leadership role that Russell had. Not to mention the youngest and littlest Guardian Veronica appeared right after Marcy. It was a lot of pressure to say the least. But the four of them developed a pretty intense bond cuz of it. Unfortunately much like the others, Marcy's time as Blue did not end without tragedy. There was a really hard fight once that they almost lost. Charun and Nia got hurt really bad to the point where Charun outright rejected being Green(a painful process) and now hardly speaks to any of them outside of the occasional pesters from Nia. Nia herself was already disabled, but the fight has made it harder to manage. She always knew the physical stress of being Red would have negative impacts on her but she doesnt regret her time as Red nor does she regret any of the choices she made during that time. Marcy broke a leg as well during this which permanently ended her dance career.
-More on Nia actually, she was always the heart of her group, encouraging everyone to keep face no matter what. Even after it all she still continues to push her friends forward and check in with all of them. Her younger sibling, Benny, looks up to her a lot, his Guardian form mimicking hers in many ways.
-The only one who came out unscathed physically was Veronica, though having watched the emotional fall out made her wary of teaming up with any of the Guardians outside of Benny for a while. Benny's a simp too so he follows her lead on everything.
-Marcy's only 20 when she meets Chiyo but immediately takes it upon herself to support and take care of the new team in a mentor-y role. The way Russell did for her and Octavia for Russell. This usually turns into more of an emotional support role than being active on the field. (She's had to talk Chiyo through her crush drama SO many times). Marcy isn't that much older, but when you're 15 but 20 seems pretty mature in comparison. Due to her own angst about what happened to her last group too Marcy tends to put a lot of the pressure of being The Adult for them onto herself. (no anita you dont count as an adult)
-Anita was gone for approximately 15 years mind you, so the teams are pretty spread out with the occasional overlapping member. She hasn't gone to see Layla yet since coming back to the right time. She's scared of all thats changed during her time trapped in the timestream tbh.

hello!! could i request maybe an amaimon x reader (naturally) where reader has to take care of little hamster amaimon after him and rins fight in season 1, but she thinks amaimon did die and that mephisto just named the little hamster after him, reader could also be very vocal to the gang about her obsession with amaimon!
this is a scenario i’ve thought about a lot ngl 😂😂 like reader just gushing about how hot he is and rin being like “he’d murder you, you idiot” and reader would be like “he could murder this p*ssy” and little hamaimon just observing this all LMFAO
maybe at the end he reveals that it’s really him!
hopefully this made sense and didn’t sound crazy lmao
I might have gotten a tad bit carried away (7677 words) 🫢 He's just so amazing I couldn't help it. 💀 Also, you didn't mention it, but there is smut. How are you gonna talk about 'murder this pussy' and not add smut when Amaimon is in his human vessel 🫢
You trug your way down the hall towards Mephisto’s office. He had called you and asked you to visit him in his office after class. You’re still in an awful mood after the camping trip. Within a few hours, you had fallen in love and then found out one of your best friends had murdered him. Sure, Amaimon might’ve been trying to kill Rin, but that doesn’t mean Rin had to actually kill Amaimon! Mephisto was there. Why hadn’t he stepped in?
Once you reach his office's double door, they open dramatically. “Ah, Miss ______.” He grins. “I’ve been waiting for you.”
“Hi, Mephisto.”
He frowns at your blunt tone. “Oh dear, is something wrong?”
You let my soulmate die. “Just tired.”
“I see; well, I have a favor to ask of you.” Mephisto points to a small cage sitting on the corner of his desk. “I’m afraid I don’t have the time to take care of my hamster.” Sitting between the cage and Mephisto, you notice a small green fluff ball for the first time. “Did you dye him?” Hamsters are supposed to come in green. “No, he’s one a billion. Can you believe the pet shop was going to throw him out because of his color? I just had to save him! But I’ve now realized I don’t have the time. “His name is Amaimon. He’s even got a small cowlick on his head that reminds me of my younger brother. So, I just had to name him Amaimon.”
You step closer to the hamster, reaching out. He hisses, warning you not to touch him halfway to him. Mephisto drops his hand, hitting the desk not far from where Amaimon is standing. “He won’t harm you; I think he’s just a little surprised.” His comment sounds more like a threat. “Anyway~ so here are all the supplies you need.”
“I didn’t agree to take him.”
“Well, it’s an order.”
“Huh?”
“I’m ordering you to take him.”
“Seriously? I’ve never had a hamster before. What if I accidentally kill him?”
“I assure you, you won’t kill him. So-“ He stands from the desk, grabbing the cage and hamster. “Take good care of him.” He demands, placing the cage in one of your hands and the hamster in the other.
-----------------
“Little Amaimon. What are you doing? You’re not supposed to eat that.” You sigh, watching your hamster stuff multiple candies in his mouth. You had panicked the first time, called the vet (who wasn’t much help), then Mephisto, who didn’t view it as a big deal. ‘If he gets sick, stop by my office with him; I’ll get a specialty vet if needed.’
He ignores you, of course, even going so far as to climb the candy bowl and drop into it. “You're contaminating my candy. You’re lucky I love you,” you huff, gently patting the little hamster on the head.
Not long later, there’s a knock on your door, Rin. You call for him to come in.
“You’re late, Rin. I have important things to do today.”
Rin kicks off his shoes, switching into the guest slippers. “I’m sorry, I got caught up in something. You shouldn’t leave your door unlocked.” He gently scolds as he steps into the living room.
“What’s that?” Rin points at your candy bowl, where little Amaimon is casually sitting. “Oh, it’s my hamster, Amaimon. I’ve had him about a week now; isn’t he cute?” You pet his head affectionally.
Rin looks at you like you’re crazy. “Seriously? Amaimon? I thought you were over that stupid crush.”
Little Amaimon’s head pops up.
You frown at his words. “One: Mephisto named him. Two: It’s not just a stupid crush; I’m still mad at you for killing him.”
“Mephisto?”
“Yeah, apparently, he rescued little Amaimon from a pet shop but then realized he doesn’t have time to care for him.”
Rin raises a brow and reaches to pet the hamster’s head. Once Rin is close enough, Amaimon bites the finger coming towards him. “Ow!” “Right, I forgot to say he’s bitten everyone he’s come across except Mephisto and me. He even bit Shiemi yesterday.”
“You could’ve told me that before I tried to pet him!”
“You could’ve asked before you tried to pet him.”
“Right. Sorry. Anyway, you’re still going on about Amaimon?” Rin glances at the little hamster on the table. “The demon Amaimon.”
“Rin, he was so attractive; I swear it was love at first sight.” You sigh dramatically.
“I don’t think he even noticed you.”
You cover your heart, “Why do you have to be like that? You murdered the love of my life, and you’re going to be cruel and tell me something like that.” Rin gives you an unimpressed look. “Okay, sure. He didn’t notice me. But who’s fault is that? He didn’t have time to notice me because you murdered him.”
“_____, he would have murdered you.”
“He could murder this pussy.”
Rin’s expression twists in disgust, and just when you’re about to tell him you’re joking, kind of. There is a light sound of choking. “Amaimon!” Your eyes widen as your little hamster is choking on a piece of candy. “What do I do?” As you’re reaching out to him, he clears his throat. “Amaimon, you scared me!” The little hamster stares at you for an unsettling amount of time before jumping back into the candy dish.
“Maybe you shouldn’t feed him candy?”
“I don’t just feed him candy; he finds candy himself and eats it. I’m not actively giving him candy.” You frown, watching little Amaimon to make sure he’s safe. “Anyway, you said you need help with some homework, so pass it here.”
Another week goes by, and you’re on the way to see your friends with little Amaimon sitting on your shoulder. Throughout the last week, he seems to have become clingy. Squeaking at you as you’re getting ready to walk out the door. He squeaked at you again nonstop once you got home; the first two times were too much; he let you know he was angry with you for way too many hours after you returned home.
Once you arrive at the location, you see Shima is the first of your friends to come. He waves you over, and with your black jacket on, the little tuff of green fur really sticks out. “Oh hey, is that little Amaimon? Shiemi was talking about him.” You sigh, nodding, petting his head. “Yeah, recently, I’ve had to bring him everywhere. Not sure why he’s become so clingy.”
“It doesn’t annoy you?”
“It helps take my mind off the fact Rin killed perfection.”
You talk about Amaimon any chance you get, going on about how attractive he is, how you could see your life flash before your eyes the moment you saw him—falling in love and having cute children who look just like him because who wouldn’t want their children to look like perfection?
Shima rolls his eyes. “It’s just a fleeting crush; you would’ve lost interest by now if he hadn't died.”
“Did you not see how hot he was? There’s no way I’d ever lose interest in someone like that. I’d do almost anything to get a chance to be with him, even if only an hour.”
“Is this some kind of kink?” Shima laughs. “Cute little schoolgirl wanting the bad boy just to have his way with her.” You scowl at him. “It’s not a kink, but also, yeah.” During your conversation, little Amaimon starts to nuzzle against your neck.
Shima laughs at the sight. “Maybe he thinks you’re talking about him.”
“You know, he’s starting to let others touch him now.” You grin, reaching up to gently pat little Amaimon’s head. “He’s so soft.”
“Can I pet him?”
“Of course. It shouldn’t be a problem. He even let a random guy pet him the other day.”
Shima grins brightly and leans forward to pet little Amaimon’s head. Without hesitating, Amaimon steps away from your neck, bites Shima hard, hisses at him, and then presses himself against your neck once more. “_____!” Shima whines, pulling his hand to his chest.
“I lied.” You shrug, patting Amaimon.
“No shit! That hurt.”
“He still doesn’t like others, but he’s becoming more affectionate with me.” Amaimon coos and nuzzles you as you speak.
Bon and Konekomaru join you two, hearing the last bit of the conversation. “Maybe he likes you. Have you thought about getting him a hamster friend?” Bon questions, eyeing the little hamster. He’s met little Amaimon a few times, and the hamster seems to hate him more each time they meet. He’s pretty certain the little hamster is glaring at him.
You hum in thought. “I don’t know; it’s nice to have his affection. But maybe you’re right. He might prefer another hamster. Wait, let me google it.” You open your phone and quickly search if hamsters should live with other hamsters. “Okay, well, you’re wrong. They fight, and sometimes it’s to the death. I will never let little Amaimon get hurt like that.”
Konekomaru gives you a curious look. “Why don’t you try searching if it’s normal for them to be affectionate with their owner.”
You scan the different results of Konekomaru’s suggestion. “From what I’m reading, it’s not normal for them to be as affectionate as Amaimon. That’s odd.” You remove little Amaimon from your shoulder, bringing him to eye level. “You’re too cute. I love you.”
“He’s weird.” Rin appears, side-eyeing Amaimon. He’s tried to befriend the little hamster multiple times, but Amaimon won’t have it. “Leave him alone, he’s amazing. I love him.”
Rin snorts. “Okay _____. You have bad taste in guys and hamsters.”
You scowl, stepping closer to Rin. “You’re just jealous.”
“Of what?” He steps forward.
“That little Amaimon doesn’t like you.” Another step.
“I don’t care.” Another step.
“If you didn’t care, you wouldn’t have been trying to get him to warm up to you all week.” Amaimon hisses at Rin’s proximity to you, the hissing boarding a type of growl. Which hamsters are not supposed to be able to do, according to your research. Weird, he must really hate Rin.
While you and Rin argue, you don’t notice the other girls step up. “She’s clearly using him as emotional support because she’s having trouble getting over the death of a demon who wasn’t even aware she existed.” Izumo sighs.
Amaimon huffs to himself, sick of being around the damn exorcists, but he knows you won’t leave anytime soon. If that bastard didn’t look at you the way he does, he wouldn’t have to stay with you every time you leave the apartment. He glares at Bon from his place on your shoulder before nudging the edge of your shirt to tuck himself under it and rest against your skin so that the idiots won’t be in his sight.
Bon raises a brow. “Did he just tuck himself under your shirt?”
“Yeah, so? Leave him alone, he’s comfortable.” Little Amaimon’s sharp claws softly touch your side as he adjusts for a more comfortable position; you raise your hand to pat him softly.
--------------------------
A month passes, and little Amaimon has become even more clingy; you hadn’t thought it was possible. You bought him some really nice tunnels that were kind of expensive. He glanced at them and completely ignored them. Other little items the internet swear hamsters will love you’ve purchased. Nope. He wants nothing to do with any of it. Now, he won’t even stay in his cage. He will squeak at you nonstop until you open the door and let him out. You called Mephisto about it; he just claimed Amaimon is more intelligent than other hamsters and maybe more like a dog. Or even a cat since he seems to hate most things. He recommended just letting little Amaimon have more freedom.
In the first month, he’d accept being in a cage on the other side of your bedroom, and then, starting in the second month, he started screaming at you until you understood he wanted to be beside your bed on the nightstand. After maybe a week of that, he started screaming at you again. He wanted out. He wanted to sleep on your nightstand without the cage.
By the third month, the cage is completely forgotten in a random corner. You’re certain if anyone found out about his intelligence, they’d take him from you and use him for experiments. But he doesn’t get free rein in the house because he’s almost always with you. If you have something important to do, he’ll stay wherever you put him until you take him elsewhere. You’ve set up a decently large area for him to hang out while you’re at school. It’s not like the cage he was first homed in, but it has barriers, so he has to stay in that living room area when you’re at school.
“Little Amaimon, please stay here while I shower.” You set the hamster on your nightstand and quickly shower, as Shiemi had invited you for dinner.
Stepping out of the shower, irritation floods over you—you forgot your towel. Usually, your bathroom closet is stocked with fresh towels, but you completely forgot to stock it after washing. You attempt to dry off as best you can, using your hands to wipe the excess water from your body. Once you feel you won’t create a puddle on the floor, you step out of the bathroom and head toward a pile of towels draped over a chair across the room. As you cross the space, little Amaimon catches your eye. He’s perched on your bed, staring at you intently. "What’s wrong with you?" you ask the little hamster as you wrap a towel around yourself. You’ll check on him soon; he usually gazes at you like that to signal he wants something.
Once you’ve changed into something decent to meet up with Shiemi, you receive a call from someone else—your mom.
“A date?” Little Amaimon’s head shoots up; he had been ignoring your conversation. “Yes! A date, I’ve heard so many nice things about Ryuji.” You scratch Amaimon’s little head and listen to your mom talk about how good of a young man Bon is; she isn’t wrong, however, “No, I don’t want to go on a date. I already like someone. I’m supposed to be meeting Shiemi, so I really don’t have time to go on about how Bon is only a friend.” You listen to her try to convince you for a couple more minutes. The whole time she speaks, you can only picture Amaimon. “Mom, I really have to go; I’ll call you later.”
You turn your head to little Amaimon, beginning to rant more to yourself. “It’s so annoying, but I can’t get Amaimon out of my mind. I hate saying it aloud, but it’s true he didn’t know I existed before he died; I only saw him for a moment, so why am I so hung up on him?” Little Amaimon flops on his stomach, listening to you complain. The moments from that night flash through your mind. “But he was so hot, and honestly, he took my breath away for a moment. I’m basically lusting over a ghost.” You blink, returning to reality, and your face burns red at how intensely little Amaimon is staring at you. You cover your face. “I can’t believe I can’t stop thinking about fucking a guy I only glanced at for a moment. What is wrong with me? Ugh, I don’t care. There was just something about him. I love him.” You glance at your watch. “Well, shit- how long have I just been going on about how much I love a dead guy to you? I’m going to be late. Let’s go, little Amaimon. You can stay in the living room; I won’t be gone for long. Bye, love you.”
As soon as the house door clicks shut, Amaimon lets out a low growl of frustration. Easily breaking through the flimsy barriers you had put up, he scurries to the couch where you keep a landline phone for emergencies. He quickly dials a number and waits impatiently for an answer. “Hello? Miss ______?” Mephisto answers. “I want my human vessel.” Amaimon hisses. Usually, he’s more polite to his older brother, but he’s tired of listening to you go on and on about him, and he’s unable to react how he wants. With how you’ve been teasing him the last three months, and your mother is now attempting to push you into a relationship with Bon. He’ll make sure you never even humor the idea of another man when he’s done with you. “I’m afraid I’m busy this week, Amaimon. You’ll have to wait until next week.” Mephisto’s tone is filled with faux remorse. “Call me in a week.”
------------
The following week for you is weird, little Amaimon refuses to let you leave anywhere alone. When you’d wake up for school, you’d find him sleeping on the pillow by your head. He climbs into your school bag, so you have to take him with you. It’s odd, and you aren’t sure how to react. Other than just letting him have his way, of course, you’ve googled it, and a lot of your answers were either he’s about to die, you’re about to die, or he can sense something horrible about to happen. While you don’t necessarily believe it, you take little Amaimon with you just to be safe.
But he also doesn’t like you spending time with your friends. Usually, he’d just ignore everyone and sleep unless they tried to touch him, but he didn’t allow anyone too close to you the whole week.
“Little Amaimon, I’m sorry, but you have to stay here.” You sigh, placing the little hamster in the little area you’ve set up for him in the living room. You wait for him to scream at you, but he doesn’t. He just watches you silently. That’s odd. But you don’t put too much thought into it, you’ll be late.
It’s long past the time you should have been home, and you’re concerned that little Amaimon might be hungry since you can't recall how much food he had before you left. “Finally, home,” you say, sighing as you remove your shoes and slip into your indoor slippers. “Amaimon, are you okay?” You hold your breath, waiting for a squeak or a scream to confirm that he’s not okay because you left him. But silence follows. As you enter the living room, you notice that one of the walls of his barrier has collapsed. Your heart sinks. “Little Amaimon?”
Initially, you proceed cautiously, examining every corner in search of him. You take deep breaths to hold back the tears. Your apartment is small; even with his petite size, there aren’t many places to hide, especially with his striking green fur. After a complete search of the apartment, you check the bed once more, carefully pulling back the sheets and lifting the pillows. He’s not there. A sob escapes as you start to search the house more frantically, remaining careful not to accidentally harm him if he’s somehow slipped by unnoticed. Yet, he’s not there. He’s gone.
You wake up sore the following day. You had slept on the floor because you were worried little Amaimon might need you and can’t get to you if you’re in the bed. But it was pointless because he’s still missing. As you get ready for school, you feel trudging through sand. Your limbs feel heavy, and you keep trying to find the little hamster, but he’s gone. You have to drag yourself out of the house; thankfully, Shiemi is already outside waiting for you, wearing a huge grin.
“Hi Shiemi.” You mumble weakly.
“I’m going to tell Rin today!”
Your eyes widened; you and Izumo had just talked about it with her last night. You give the best grin your body will allow while nodding. “That’s great, what will you say to him?”
As she shares what she wants to say, you just become more and more confused. “Wait, really?” You had been expecting her to be ready to confess to Rin, not whatever the hell she is going to tell him. “But isn’t high school the perfect time to fall in love- ah, never mind. You’re right. If you want to become stronger first, then good.”
“Thanks! Wait, where is little Amaimon?” She gives you a curious glance; the tiny green hamster is usually on your shoulder.
Tears that you hoped to hold back begin to fall. “I-I don’t know. He- it doesn’t matter. I probably just overlooked him.” You wipe your eyes as you talk. “I’m sure I can find him when I get home.” You keep quiet about the hours you spent searching for him last night and a significant part of this morning. “Let’s go; we don’t want to be late for school.” You smile despite the tears flowing.
------------------------------------
“Shiemi, I’m going to go ahead and get to class, okay?” Normally, you would’ve walked with her to be moral support with Rin, but you just don’t have it in you; your whole body hurts, and your eyes burn from rubbing them too much. You wave over your shoulder, not listening to her telling you she’ll see you later. Once in your class, you drop your head to the desk, trying to think of places you might’ve accidentally missed while looking for your hamster.
Classmates start trickling in; you don’t acknowledge any of them, keeping your head down, even as someone sits next to you. Did you maybe accidentally left the door cracked open? Leaving some treats outside your door might help. Why hadn’t you thought about this before getting to school? Your seatmate pokes your shoulder, and you raise your hand in greeting but don’t bother lifting your head. Too engrossed in ideas of how to find little Amaimon. Your seatmate leans closer, lowering their voice to a whisper.
“So, murder your pussy?”
Your eyes snap open; why does that voice sound familiar? Quickly, you sit up, snapping your head to the left. The person next to you arches an eyebrow, a lollipop dangling from his mouth. “Anything else I can do for you, ______?”
“W-what? Wait. Amaimon?” Your hands start to shake. “You’re alive? Wait, what are you talking about? How do you know me?”
“Hmmm? You’ve been taking care of me the last three months.”
You stare long and hard before it clicks. Mephisto can turn into a white dog. Did that bastard give you his brother? This whole time, you’ve been living with Amaimon. He was there for everything; you said so many things that you would’ve never said to him if you had known he was there.
“You heard everything.” You groan, dropping your head to the table. He had been with you twenty-four-seven for three months. “Yes.”
You don’t even know how to wrap your head around this: the demon that you’ve fallen for, who is supposed to be dead, is alive and has been your pet hamster for the last three months?
Wait, your head snaps up. He’s seen me naked. All the times you’ve changed with him casually sitting in your room.
.
.
.
.
.
“Bye.” You stand, but the demon beside you is faster, gripping your wrist and pulling you back into the seat. “Sit down.”
“I suddenly remember I have something important to do.”
“No, you don’t.”
You sink into your chair, having a million questions but too embarrassed to ask any of them. His hand is still wrapped around your wrist. You can’t look at him, which is a shame because, from the one glance you did get, he looks so much better than you remembered.
His grip tightens on your wrist. “You’re not getting away from me. Three months.” He growls in your ear.
Is he angry that you’ve been treating him like a hamster for three months? But Mephisto had told you, you would have been more than happy to take him in knowing the truth.
“I’m sorry-“
Amaimon grips the front of your uniform, forcing you to look him in the eyes. "For three months, while I was trapped in that vessel, unable to act, you’ve been teasing me. Now that I finally have this vessel back, we’re going to make up for those last three months I couldn’t touch you.”
“What?”
“That’s what you want, right?” He leans closer, running his claws along your thigh. “We can go home now. Who cares if we miss a few classes.” Despite his words, his tone makes him sound bored. Honestly, you want nothing more than to jump on him, exclaim your love, and, let’s be honest, let him have his way with you. However, you’re in the middle of a classroom, and this is a shock. “Wait, I need answers. How are you here? Why would Mephisto want me to take care of you for three months? I don’t understand.”
He stares blankly at you and obviously doesn’t care to share all the details with you. “Big brother said I could have my freedom if I follow the rules as a student.”
“Okay, and why were you a hamster in my home for three months?”
He refuses to answer.
Fine. “Leaving class early is against the rules.”
Amaimon pulls away from you and glares. “Also, I’ve got a test in chemistry this afternoon that I can’t miss.”
His glare doesn’t soften; he doesn’t care if you have a test. You’ve been teasing him for three months now.
“If we leave now, you’ll only have gone to one class; I don’t think Mephisto would consider that rule-abiding.”
Still glaring.
“What’s your schedule?”
“We have the same schedule.”
“Huh?”
“Big brother agreed to give me the same schedule as you.”
----------------------------------
Your friends are standing tensely in the hallway, watching Amaimon’s back as he walks to class. “We need to find _____ to warn her Amaimon is back. I know she’s been talking about falling for him, but she thinks he's dead and he’s a stranger to her. There’s no telling if she’ll act like an idiot and get herself killed or be realistic.” Bon takes the position of a leader. “For the lunch break, someone will just have to be outside her classroom waiting for her.”
Shiemi mentions, "When I saw _____ this morning, she looked very upset; she was crying. She told me it would be okay, but her hamster is missing, so she’s really sad today.”
Bon grimaces. “If she’s completely torn up over her hamster. Her actions might reflect that, and she might do something stupid. I wonder if we can keep her oblivious about Amaimon for at least a week.” He clinches his fist.
“So, who should meet her in the classroom.”
“I can.” Bon stands firmly.
Shima throws an arm over Bon’s shoulder. “Aw, gonna be her knight in shining armor? She might even need a hug.”
Bon’s firm expression starts to break as his face reddens. “Shut up, we’re just friends!”
“Yeah, but when she actually meets Amaimon, there’s no way she’d like him. You can swoop in.”
“Shut up,” Bon growls through gritted teeth.
The class before lunch seems to take forever for him; he can barely focus; he has to get to you before you run into Amaimon and get your heart broken.
When the bell finally rings, Bon taps his fingers anxiously, waiting for the teacher to dismiss them. Once he does, Bon jumps from his seat and runs; you’re only a few doors down. He can grab you, and you’ll be safe.
He feels a wave of horror as he spots Amaimon in the doorway of your classroom. Maybe you don’t realize who he is. He’s having to use an alias; he doesn’t know who you are, so he wouldn’t tell you. right? Bon grits his teeth, contemplating the best course of action. Things take a turn for the worse when he realizes Amaimon is speaking to someone. Of course, it’s you.
“______!” Bon runs forward, attempting to put himself between you and Amaimon. “How are you? I thought maybe we could walk to meet everyone together.” He grins, hoping you’re unaware the person behind him is Amaimon.
“Sorry, I know I usually do. But I’ve got plans today.”
Bon watches you closely. You still haven’t referred to him as Amaimon; surely, you’d be really giddy or upset about him turning you down if you were aware. He can still help you. “Neither of us has the class after lunch, right? I heard you lost your hamster. Maybe I could return to your apartment with you to find your hamster during the break?” He suggests, knowing you don’t live that far from campus.
Bon feels a heavy weight in his heart as you shake your head. “Actually, I’m having lunch with him," you say, gesturing discreetly toward Amaimon without mentioning his name. It's clear Bon is aware, and he probably knows you’re aware. But you don’t want to be the first to say it.
Amaimon's eyes narrow into a fierce glare as he forcefully shoves Bon away from you, a protective instinct surging through him. "Don’t get close to her; she’s mine," he growls, lifting his arm, his fist swinging toward Bon with a forceful intent. You instinctively flinch at the sharp sound of their impact, the crack echoing in your ears, but the shock renders you momentarily paralyzed, your heart racing. Bon stumbles back, a look of disbelief mixed with fury etching across his face as he clutches his jaw, grimacing in pain while shooting deadly glares at Amaimon.
Bon is aware that Amaimon is holding back; he assumes that it is because of orders from Mephisto not to hurt other students. He watches, eyes narrowed, as Amaimon grabs your wrist. “Let’s go.”
You glance over your shoulder at Bon; he’s standing and just glaring at Amaimon’s back. Amaimon must not have hit him as hard as it first seemed because Bon is standing straight, tightened fists by his sides.
-----------------------------------------------
“You said you’re supposed to follow the rules.” You’re sitting on a picnic table bench with your back against the table. With his body pressed against yours, he’s basically in your lap at this point. “Big brother didn’t say this was against the rules.” His lips hover over yours for a brief moment before meeting yours. It’s not a sweet, innocent first kiss like you had imagined your first kiss to be. Amaimon’s lips feel warm and insistent, and when his tongue brushes against your lower lip, you freeze, unsure how to react. Without warning, he pulls at your hair, prompting a gasp from you and allowing him entry. The sweetness of candy still lingers on his tongue as it navigates your mouth. He tilts his head to deepen the kiss even more.
"What the hell are you doing to her?!" You stop in your tracks, recognizing the voice instantly. But Amaimon keeps his grip on you, tugging harshly at your hair to get your attention back. He loosens his hold slightly, giving you a chance to catch your breath, but when you try to sneak a glance at Bon, Amaimon grabs onto your jaw tightly. “Look at me. Only me.”
"Let her go." Bon's voice is cold and firm.
Amaimon releases his grip on your hair and jaw, but he doesn't let you go just yet. You can feel his irritation pulsing off him in waves.
Rin and the others appear behind Bon, all taking defensive students. Rin snaps. "Let her go, or else." Which makes zero sense to you.
“Stop!” You glare at Rin. “What are you even talking about? I’m perfectly fine with this.” Have they been living under a rock? You’ve spoken about Amaimon almost nonstop, and they’re acting surprised you’re in his arms now, and they’re acting like you’re a victim. This is exactly where you’ve wanted to be since seeing the demon king.
Bon snaps at you. “Don’t be stupid! You don’t want to be with him.” He yells. “You’re letting your stupid hormones affect your common sense.”
“I don’t care. There’s nothing wrong with it, as you said, hormones, it’s normal.”
Shima raises a brow. “Wanting to fuck a demon king is definitely not normal.”
Bon turns to Shima. “Seriously? Shut up.”
Shima rolls his eyes. “That’s what you’re talking about.”
You glance at poor Shiemi, who looks like her head might explode. “Stop being vulgar in front of Shiemi.”
Amaimon pulls a lollipop from his pocket and pops it in his mouth. “Let’s go.” He grabs your arm and pulls you away from everyone else.
“______!”
You lift a hand to wave at them without looking back. “I’m more than fine.”
The demon king has you questioning if he’s part succubus as you’re pushed against a random wall, his lips attached to your throat, occasionally leaving small bites. “We shouldn’t be doing this at school.” He hums in agreement. “Yes, let’s go home then.”
“We still have three classes.”
His claws push against your thigh, teasingly moving his hand up your skirt. “But I thought you didn’t want to do this at school?” He whispers in your ear, gently biting it.
As Amaimon's hand trails up your thigh, you can feel yourself blushing and growing more flustered. Again, you give a weak excuse about being in school, but he simply nods and reaches into his pocket. At first, you think he's grabbing another lollipop, but instead, he pulls out a key. "What is the key to?"
“Our apartment.” He murmurs against your lips before kissing you again, deeply; the magical key opens the door to your living room while his hands slowly glide up your skirt, gripping the waistband of your underwear. As you respond to his touch, he suddenly pulls away and drops his hands to his sides. He glances at the door nonchalantly, saying, "If you don't want to." He reaches to close the door, but you quickly stick your foot out to stop it. Your face flushes red with embarrassment. “Are you part succubus? I can miss half a day. But how are you going to explain to Mephisto since you promised him, you’ll be a good student?”
“Having sex with you in our apartment rather than in the hallway is what a student who follows the rules would do.” His lips meet yours once more as he guides you inside, shutting the door with his foot.
“You keep saying ‘our apartment.’”
“Yes, I’ve been living here for the last three months; why wouldn’t it be my apartment?” he questions, shrugging off his blazer and carelessly tossing it onto the couch. His hands immediately find their way back to you as he kicks off his boots, his mouth hot against your throat. He waits, kissing and nibbling your skin until you remove your shoes. But he doesn't give you a chance to switch to indoor shoes. When the shoes are off, he lifts you, making you wrap your legs around his waist.
He carries you to your bedroom and drops you on the bed, smirking. “I finally get to murder your pussy.” Your face burns at the reminder once again. You have a feeling he’s not going to let you live that down anytime soon. “Stop.” You whine, covering your face in embarrassment. “I’m going to remind you every time we have sex for the rest of our lives.”
You have many questions about that statement, but bite your tongue, not wanting to ruin the moment.
Amaimon reaches for your blazer, quickly undoing all the buttons and removing the shirt. You aren’t sure how he’s so fast without damaging your clothes, but he’s just as quick in removing the rest of your clothing. “Don’t.” He narrows his eyes as your hands instinctively move to cover your chest. “Why are you acting shy? I’ve seen you like this multiple times,” he reminds you. “I should tie you to this bed for at least a week after how you teased me for three months.”
“That’s not fair; I didn’t know you were the hamster.” You whine, fighting the urge to cover yourself.
“Don’t worry, because you’re a virgin, I won’t tie you down this time.” He stares at you blankly.
“How do you know I’m a virgin?!”
“You told that purple-haired girl you’re going to die a virgin because I was dead.”
“Oh.” Your eyes widened; you had invited Shiemi and Izumo to your house for a small study group, and like always, you were able to get in a few comments about Amaimon. “I was joking.”
“Sure.”
“I was.”
“Right.”
“I was!”
Amaimon shrugs, sitting to your side as he lifts his hands to his shirt, undoing each button. “Okay. It doesn’t matter because I’m going to-”
“If you say what I think you’re about to say, I will kick you.”
“Okay, don’t be that vulgar around another man again; I don’t care if you are talking about me.”
“Another man? Does that mean I can be vulgar with you?”
He raises a brow. “Sure, but you get flustered over that comment; I can’t imagine you will be vulgar with me anytime soon.”
“What? I can totally be vulgar- wait, that sounds weird.” You glance at Amaimon and notice he’s covered his face. “Are you laughing at me?”
“Yes.” Amaimon gets off the bed, dropping the shirt to the floor, along with his pants and underwear.
Your gaze travels across his body. Honestly, you feel your mouth water at the sight of his toned muscles. You let your eyes drop below his waist; your breath hitches in your throat. He’s stunning. Every part of him visible is flawless, and suddenly, you become more aware of your own body. You cover your breasts with one hand while trying to shield your womanhood with the other.
A low growl comes from Amaimon, and you’re pinned to the bed, arms pinned on either side of your head. “I told you not to cover yourself. I will tie your arms.”
“You look perfect, and I look—” you shrug; while you’re not unattractive, it’s difficult to envision anyone else matching his beauty. “Beautiful.” Amaimon leans in, pressing his hardness against your thigh, his face expressionless just before he bends down to kiss you.
You notice something odd behind him when he pulls away from the kiss. “What’s that?”
He blinks, confused by your question.
“That.” You point at it again.
Amaimon glances behind him, not seeing anything. “What is what?”
“Is that your tail?”
“Oh. Yes.”
“Can I touch it?”
“No.”
“Oh.”
Amaimon smirks, moving his tail to wrap around your thigh. “Yes, you can touch it.”
Forgetting that you’re naked, you sit up, pushing the demon back. “It’s so cute, I love it.” You reach for the tail, gently running your fingers along it from the base to the fluffy tip.
Amaimon humors you and your interest in his tail a moment longer before he pushes you back against the bed, pressing his lips to yours. The kiss is intense and passionate and leaves you breathless. Amaimon’s hands roam over your body, his claws gently running along your skin until reaching your breasts; carefully, he palms your breasts, careful not to hurt you with his claws.
He pulls away from the kiss, his lips tracing a path down your neck and over your collarbone, leaving behind a trail of delicate kisses and nibbles. He pauses at your breast, swirling his tongue around the areola before taking your hardened nipple into his mouth. The other breast receives the same attention before he moves even lower, pausing at your hips.
With a low growl, Amaimon's hands slid beneath your waist, pulling you closer to his lips. He traced kisses down the length of your thigh, pausing to bite your skin gently. He pauses, glancing up at you with a blank stare as you begin to squirm slightly under him. “What’s wrong _____? Is there something you want?”
When you don’t answer, he parts your thighs, staring long enough that you start to squirm more. “Amaimon, you’re being weird. Don’t just stare at me.” You complain, attempting to close your legs. “Okay.” Using a knuckle, he guides it along your sensitive folds, with his eyes returning to your face.
“Amaimon.” You whine. He’s just barely applying enough pressure so you can feel a bit of pleasure.
“What?”
“Don’t be an asshole.”
He pushes his knuckle a bit past your folds, collecting some of your slick, then bringing it to his face. He keeps eye contact with you, and he licks it clean. “I asked you if there is something you want. Answer me.”
“I want you.”
“You have me.”
“Amaimon!”
“You have to be more specific ______.” He speaks monotone while using his knuckle to collect more of your slick. “Your body is reacting so nicely to me.” He places his knuckle in his mouth. “You taste great.”
“Please.”
He stares, showing no emotions.
“Amaimon.” You groan. “Fine! Please, eat me out.” You quickly cover your face in embarrassment when you realize what you said.
Your face is still hidden when you feel his breath against your entrance. Gently, he opens your legs and presses his mouth against you, sliding his tongue from your opening all the way up to your sensitive nub. Your hands clench the sheets beneath you, your knuckles turning white as you grip them tightly. The sensations are overwhelming, and you cannot hold back crying his name.
Amaimon's eyes are locked onto your face, his expression a mixture of amusement and satisfaction as he continues his ministrations. He enjoys the power he wields over you in this moment. His tongue moves in slow, deliberate strokes, alternating between gentle flicks and deep thrusts of his tongue. You can feel the tension inside you coiling like a tight spring about to snap. Unable to bear it much longer, you run your hands through his hair, tugging him closer to him, chasing your pleasure.
Amaimon hums in satisfaction, his tongue lazily flicking against your sensitive nub as he draws out your orgasm.
Finally, the wave of pleasure crashes over you, your body shaking violently as Amaimon's name leaves your lips once more. He lifts his head, his mouth glistening with your arousal. He licks his lips slowly, savoring your taste before leaning down to capture your lips in a possessive kiss.
As you recover from your orgasm, you feel Amaimon's body pressing against yours, his erection still hard and ready. You reach down to touch him, but he stops your hand.
"No," he replies flatly. "I’ve waited three months; I want to be inside you." He leans in for another kiss, “Are you ready?” He whispers against your lips, running his erection against your folds for lubrication.
You glance down at his member before looking back into his eyes. He’s not small, and you’re worried about pain. “You’ll be gentle, right?”
“For your first time? Yes.”
He lowers his head, bringing you into another passionate as his erection slowly enters you; the sensation is intense but not painful. Amaimon's lips are gentle as he nips your lower lip and kisses you more tenderly. “Does it hurt?” He braces himself, not wanting to move until you’re comfortable. “No, it’s okay.”
Slowly, he starts to move within you, his thrusts steady and deep. As he continues his ministrations, Amaimon's golden gaze never leaves yours, his movements slow and deliberate. Watching carefully to make sure you’re still comfortable before increasing the pace.
As the intensity of his thrusts increases, you pull him closer, your arms wrapped tightly around his body. “Amaimon, faster.”
"Faster?" he repeats. "Is that what you want?" His eyes locked onto yours, his golden gaze burning into your soul.
"Yes!" you gasp, your heart pounding in your chest. "Faster!"
Amaimon complies, his hips moving with a fierce intensity that takes your breath away. With each thrust, the tension builds until it feels like it may burst. You hold onto his shoulders tightly, your nails digging into his skin as you arch your back to meet his movements.
He keeps his eyes locked with yours while moving his hand between you, mindful of his sharp claws. He uses a knuckle to stimulate your clit, the sensation combined with him being inside you is what pushes you over the edge.
You cry out his name as your second orgasm crashes over you. Your body shakes as he continues to thrust into you, his movements becoming more erratic and urgent.
As you moan with pleasure, Amaimon watches your face intently. He tightens his grip on your hips and thrusts into you more forcefully, feeling his own release approaching. His teeth graze against your neck, and he bites down. The sharp feeling of pain from his bite is mixed with the pleasure from your last orgasm; you dig your nails into his back at the feeling.
With a deep growl, Amaimon shuts his eyes, and his muscles tense before releasing inside of you. He holds onto you tightly until the sensation passes.
You both lay there, panting and basking in the afterglow. Amaimon's golden eyes soften as he gazes at your flushed face. He pulls out of you carefully, concerned about any discomfort it might cause.
“Are you okay?" he asks, gently stroking your hair away from your face.
You nod, unable to speak momentarily as you catch your breath. "So, that was fun," you manage to say, a smile playing on your lips.
Amaimon gives you a deadpan stare. “Glad you enjoyed it.”
You sit up, slightly wobbly, and reach for a tissue to clean up. "Thanks for being gentle," you glance around the room awkwardly, unsure what to do now.
“You should rest; I won’t be as gentle next time.”
“Next time?”
“Tonight, if you get some rest now.”

Hey!
I don’t know if you already talked about it, but I have a question about our favorite copy-nin (it’s about his dad’s suicide so if that’s too sensitive topic for you, please drop it)
I was wondering, do you think he hated him because of what he’s done? That he abandoned him and left completely alone in dangerous world?
Also, considering Kakashi’s later depression. Do you think that he would may want to end his life, if not the fact that he hated this and thought about it as a cowardice because of his dad?
It was just going around my head, and I don’t know anyone who knows his character better 😊
Thank you for the ask
Read the answer under the cut 👇
Even tho kid Kakashi always acted as if he was mad at Sakumo because he failed the mission and broke the rules but in reality all of that anger was because Sakumo suffered so much because of it to the point that he killed himself, it was more for Sakumo's sake than Kakashi himself and we see that when Kakashi and Sakumo meet again after Kakashi's death when Kakashi tells him this
The anger we hear in Kakashi's voice when he says "I felt so bitter" and his fist clinging so hard like this shows that thinking about his father's suffering still hurts him even after all of those years so his fixation on following the rules at the time was a result of him believing that if his dad followed the rules he would have stayed the legend that everyone loved, he wouldn't have suffered and would've stayed alive and we see that in his response to Obito here too
People who don't obey the rules suffer and die and this is why he was trying to get his team to follow the rules as well because as much as he tried to hide this but he actually cared about his team so much and this is why having them follow the rules is so important to him because he doesn't want them to suffer like his dad and have the same fate as him either.
As for Kakashi's depression and why he never thought about ending his life, him hating this because it's what Sakumo did was one thing but there's also another reason which is that Obito sacrificed his life so that Kakashi can live so he would never throw away and disrespect Obito's sacrifice like this, plus, Obito gave him his Sharingan because he wanted to see the future with Kakashi being his eye, so him killing himself would mean that he would kill Obito too all over again, however dying in the battlefield tho while protecting his ppl and friends is a different story, it's how Obito, Rin and Minato sensei died so it's a welcomed honorable death, it's how a Shinobi should die
Of course that was just in his Anbu days before he meets our favorite little gremlin children that makes him not interested in dying at all, not even in the battlefield.

By narrative choice, why do you think most of the route have Akira not witnessing Keisuke's death (No way Keisuke lived after that)? Like why it always with Shiki or Nano (a bastard (affectionate) and a bastard), not with Rin or Motomi?
Rin would less likely to help him, thought but for Motomi, I think it's a good set up, I just don't know why the team never did that 🤔
I just realise n+c like to leave Akira to the wolf, not that im complaining, esp if he end up with Shiki 👉👈
hiii thanks for the ask!! ❤️
I'll break down my thoughts into several points:
Why doesn't Akira witness Keisuke's death in Motomi's or Rin's routes?
Because Akira's character arc in those routes revolve around him learning to be a more emotionally and socially well-adjusted person, lol. After Akira sees Keisuke run off, he still clings onto the vain hope that he can mend his relationship with Keisuke as long as Keisuke is alive. This leads into Akira learning to communicate more with Motomi because his lack of communication is what caused the conflict with Keisuke. (I personally take issue with this narrative framing because it ignores Keisuke's agency and puts the blame solely on Akira for why their friendship failed, but that's how the game frames it.)
With Rin, Akira decides to take care of him because he doesn't want to essentially have a repeat of the conflict with Keisuke (he didn't care about Keisuke and look what happened, so now Akira tries to make an effort to care about Rin). In both routes, Akira comes to the implicit understanding later on that Keisuke is most likely dead, but he doesn't lose his will to live over that because he has Motomi/Rin by his side.
Why does Akira witness Keisuke's death in Shiki's route?
Because Shiki's route is the one that explores what life and death means and the difference between the two, and Akira's character arc revolves around him developing a strong will to live. We see at the start of the game how Akira has neither the will to live nor die, and only in his interactions with Shiki does he start possibly developing the resolve to live. He tells Shiki to kill him because he doesn't want to submit/beg for his life, but Akira also tries to resist death when push comes to shove because he doesn't want to die a death where the circumstances are out of his control.
When Akira sees Keisuke die right in front of him, he has to deal with the harrowing fact that it was his own blood that killed him. Akira was already shaken up from his previous encounters with Rein addicts/Takeru because he saw what his blood did to them, so it was the final nail in the coffin when the same thing happened to Keisuke, because it made Akira realize that there's something wrong with him. Following this, Akira becomes suicidal for the first time in his life and wants Shiki to kill him, because he thinks of his own existence/his blood as cursed, and that it would be better if he was dead.
But Shiki doesn't kill him. Instead, he kidnaps Akira and claims ownership over him, and after Akira realizes that Shiki isn't going to kill him, he begins regaining his resolve to resist Shiki. Shiki essentially brings back Akira's will to live and builds him back up to be even stronger than before lol. Akira tells Shiki that he follows his own will and that "everyone dies someday; I just can't stand the thought of being under someone's thumb" (very rough paraphrasing by me), which is why he's not afraid of death and will continue resisting Shiki no matter what. Shiki's route is all about Akira becoming a more willful person, because Akira at the start of the game didn't have the will to do anything... at all.
In the True Blood version of the game, Akira also doesn't see Keisuke die in Shiki's route. Instead he sees Keisuke run off (just like in Motomi's and Rin's routes), and then you actually get a new choice. If Akira submits to Shiki, Shiki will kidnap Akira and it will lead to a bad end with Akira being held captive. But if he resists, then Shiki will leave Akira alone, and the route will continue. Akira makes the decision afterward to collect tags and takedown Il Re as his personal goal, because Rein is the whole reason why Keisuke turned like this in the first place. Later on in the route, Akira understands that Keisuke is most likely dead, but Akira is still determined to challenge Il Re as his way of atoning for Keisuke's death.
SORRY THIS TURNED OUT SO LONG WINDED but I feel like there's multiple factors involved (off the top of my head) for why Akira sees Keisuke die in Shiki's route lol
1) Because it fits in with the narrative themes in Shiki's route, and by proxy, Akira's character conflict (what's the difference between life and death, what could one hope to accomplish by staying alive, is death not just the cessation of function?). Akira wants to die after accidentally causing his own friend's death, but after Shiki forces him to live, Akira instead regains his resolve to live and lives for the sake of defying Shiki.
2) Because it homes in on Akira's identity crisis with regards to his cursed blood, which is brought up again later on in Shiki's tunnel scene. Akira starts to doubt the reason for his own existence because he sees how his blood causes harm wherever he goes, but Shiki tells him that Akira is still Akira to him ("You're mine. That's all there is to it.")
3) It strengthens Akira's character development in Shiki's route, because we see the contrast in how he goes from being at the absolute lowest point in his life (Akira is actively suicidal during the Keisuke death scene and doesn't even have the will to get up or move; he doesn't care what happens to him anymore), to actively clinging onto his autonomy and developing this mindset of following his own will/obeying no one but himself.
Why does Keisuke die in Nano's route?
Straight up? Hot take: they needed Keisuke to die because Akira wouldn't have ended up with Nano if Keisuke was still alive lmao. Nano's route does a terrible job at setting up the romantic chemistry between Akira and Nano. Akira, during the entirety of Nano's route, is way more focused on finding and saving Keisuke. He just chills with Nano here and there for plot reasons (yeah makes perfect sense for Akira to just sit in a movie theater with some guy he barely knows when Akira is the type to be a lone wolf), but it's very clear that Akira's goal is making it out of Toshima with Keisuke and Nano isn't even really on his mind that much.
So they killed Keisuke off. If Keisuke was still alive in Nano's route, it's very likely that Akira would have ended up in a relationship with Keisuke instead, leaving Nano to be by his lonesome self lol. So with Keisuke out of the picture, now Akira is forced to leave Toshima with Nano because he has no one else with him. (Oh and that totally shoehorned scene with Nano suddenly regaining his emotions because he saw Akira crying for Keisuke. Not forced at all...)
This is the only time I'll ever feel sorry for Keisuke lol, because his death here wasn't a consequence of his own actions. His death in Nano's route was completely unnecessary and was only there for the sake of making sure Akira ended up with Nano instead. Besides, there was no way Keisuke would've gotten a happy ending in Nano's route even if he did survive, because he'd end up depressed if Akira fell in love with Nano lol.
YEAH SORRY THIS WAS LONG and rambly, typed this up in like half an hour but those are my thoughts!! ty for the ask as always :3! ❤️and I'll respond to your other ask once I get home ^w^

Hypmic OC Halloween Party 2023 🎃 ~Part I
Once the night of 31rd October has already come to the town, who knows? Something extra supernatural is bound to happen!
Disclaimer: Please note that these are not the actual titles to the songs, I just made them up of course. All these songs obviously belong to their respective artists,
And the OCs mentioned belong to their respective creators as well!
To be honest, at first I attempted to make the cast match with their headcanon VCs but considered giving it up at some point because if I did that, some names would be brought up too often *side-glancing at Yuuya, Saigo, and Yorii*
Surprisingly, almost every song happens to have their own English subtitles available, so open them up if you’d like to know something. I’ll leave more details in your imagination then (¬‿¬)
If you feel tempted to do the fanarts, please feel free to do it XD
So, now. Isn’t it time to let the Feast begins?

[All lights in the stadium suddenly flickered on and off uncontrollably]

[One by one, every light in the stadium has eventually been turned off]

🎃 Behind the scenes Pt.1
Even though there are other divisions and some participants which may not be mentioned above, they’re all invited and have their own parts in this event as well. For examples;
Himari Asami, Hiroshi Sakura, and Suzuran Minazuki (who was on the request of her non-blood-related cousin) were in charge of designing and making costumes with the assistance of three fashion interns; Aimi Miyazaki, Alice Shiroka, and Umi Kobayashi.
Akira Arai, Natsume Kurome, Kururi Yamamura and Queen Card’s team were noted to took part in making props. By the way, Kureha Koizumi was anticipated to participate in this as well but she unexpectedly showed up in the opening show —much to everyone’s surprise.
Reiaki Suzubayashi and Emiko Akaibara showed to work together on helping the cast prepare themselves before entering the stage.
Chiyuri Seiguni was tasked to be the main operator of most special effects on stage via the brief from the real technician, Raiden Otoha since this one had to take his part in the 7th show.
Aiko Mayeda was the D.J. and he got the party started! The 86 band and other musical units associated with other division members were also joined in to provide music for some songs.
Most choreography throughout the shows were designed and coached by Yeong Hajoon, Haruto Morikawa, and Kaede Iwasawa.
The representative of Snowflake Sentinel News, Yoichi Shujo; and the head of a certain publishing-house, Nellie Yukimura were assigned to deliver the details of this event. Please expect more live reports and some tidbits behind the scenes from them.
The foods and drinks in this event were all supplied by the alliance between Luis Kōkyū, Rashaad Young, Harumatsuya shop, and Rikiya farm.
The main sponsors of the previous event are Sigma Inc., Toi Pharmaceutical, and E.L. Medical Co. Therefore, this time it’s the turn of Wonder⇓anD Sound Systems, Arakawa Tech Industries, and the concert venue was organized by the entertainment agency “Kairiku Production” with the cooperation of Queen Card’s league.
For some reason, a certain division was banned from participating —to be specific, it’s Ginza Division. However, Eiji Noguchi and his family were secretly invited because his children wanted to come.
At first Fusao Ise and Queen card were honored to be the MCs (or the hosts) of this event but because the latter had to ‘prepare’ for her own part in the 11th show, Reika Aichi was surprisingly nominated to take over this role once again alongside Fusao.
At the beginning, all the cast were seen wearing some kind of masquerade mask before their first show started.
Though not every division was present in the 3rd show, there were flags with symbols of each team ever participated in the D.R.B. showing on stage.
For whatever reason, Aranai Norikoru was the one who delivered the line “Toki wo (Shout)!” before the chorus “Kakumei wa matte (The revolution has succeeded)!” was sung by all divisions. Well, someone in the cast seemed visibly displeased with how this turned out.
Despite the 6th show being performed by Yuuya Kanata and Yorii Sakuma, the one who advised them on the lyrics was their senior musician, Ren Nakashima, and the music provider for this show was none other than the 86 Band
Before two boys of the 6th show left the stage, the camera caught both Yuuya and Yorii high-fiving Ren who was up for the next show…
▶︎ TO BE CONTINUE IN PT. 2…

May I ask for extreme details on the age swap au? I'm not sure how it works.
Is it just effecting the Konoha 12, their teachers and maybe the sand siblings and a few notable shibobi? So those who were 12-13 are now 26 and the 26-27 year olds are now the students? Did the Uchiha massacre still happen if so, how? The issues that lead up to it were complicated, but I don't think they would have happened if Naruto/his father was alive. Is Minato still alive as the 4th Hokage? Did he die with Kushina again and was Naruto an orphan? Who released the nine tails if Madara was too old and Obito is now itty bitty.
How did Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke react to growing up in a time of war instead of a time of peace, especially in one of the most bloodiest wars in the ninja world. Is Itachi alive? Is he in his 30's and still flicking Sasuke in the face and embarrassing him in punlic,, or did he succumb to his chakra disease early in life?
Sakumo must have been alive and was a peer to Naruto, at most he would be a bit older. Were they friends? Did Naruto try to talk-no-jutsu him out of Suicide? The village's view on teammates vs. Missions seems to have pivoted after the 3rd great shinobi war where, at least in Konoha, friendships and teammates meant more than the mission. Maybe not for everyone, but probably due to the overwhelming loses everyone's POV shifted and they seem to care for each other a lot more. Would he feel the same pressure to commit suicide and leave his baby boy if less people turned their back on him?
Were Dai and Lee friends?! Rivals?! BROTHERS?! On the same team at one point?! Did Lee learn the gates from Dai?! Or was Dai just Lee's father in this and Gai was Lee's secret half brother/ a random village kid with no relation to Dai?
If Madara was still alive that means the reincarnation of indra and asura could not be Naruto and Sasuke. Who are they now? Is it Obito and Kakashi? Are they destined to stop the cycle of hatred and bring peace to the ninja world?!
I'm sorry I have so many questions, but the characters of Naruto are deeply entwined with their world and the time in which they grew up. Their environment ends up shaping who they become. So unlike a lot of stories, I think just switching the character rolls and places it a little harder in a age swap like this where almost every character has a pivotal roll in the time they grew up.
I hope this was not a rude ask.
It’s not really hard at all to change things.
Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura grew up in war and are a little rougher around the edges because of it but otherwise the exact same personalities. Naruto is a sunshine personality, Sakura has anger issues but is a top notch medical ninja, and it’s Sasuke who takes Obito’s place.
Kakashi and Obito are the reincarnations, but instead of it just being them who can fix everything in the end Rin actually plays a role in fighting and helping them beat Kaguya instead of just being sent in the end to stop her with a punch.
Madara still dies and the reincarnation cycle starts anew with Kakashi and Obito.
Sakumo and Dai are more Sensei age, just as Minato is Sensei age for Kakashi, Naruto and Rin.
Minato and Kushina are well known shinobi who were skilled and ruthless, but Minato never becomes Hokage here. It’s Sakumo who takes the title of the fourth and through a very skilled Naruto who has grown a lot (and is a few years older) and had a chance to learn uzumaki techniques from his mother is able to seal the Kyubi into Kakashi. (kakashi is the ninetails here)
Dai would have been Lee’s Sensei and someone who picked Lee up as a student before he left the academy and helped him train. He’s not actually Lee’s official Sensei, but he is the one who takes him under his wing and teaches him his style, and then has Gai later when Lee is around 14. So lee is not blood related but a big part of Gai’s life.
Hiruzen is still the third (honestly i don’t see Tsunade, Sakumo or Minato going through with the massacure at all so it has to stay him) with Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru still being the Sannin (though i do have fic with Danzo being the one Kakashi leaves the village to train under, but that is not for this)
Sakumo was Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura’s Sensei and although Sasuke ‘died’ young Sakumo kept a good connection with Naruto and Sakura and refused to allow Hiruzen to set asude some of their stringest shinobi during the Kyubi attack.
They were good enough to fight in a war when they were 10, they are good enough to help protect the village rather than being force to stand around and watch people die knowing they can’t do shit.
Naruto used the Reaper death seal, and i know ‘he was supposed to die’ but like, f*** that i think that Sakumo shoved him out of the way and the death god actually accepted that for some unexplainable reason and took Sakumo instead (who was dying anyways as he was the previous jinchurriki)

hi, do you think when sarada awoken the mangeko (as much as i wish that trashy awakening wasn't real it unfortunately is) because of she cared for brto and was a die hard fan or was she just really upset that no one belived her and thought she was spouting nonsense? for me i low-key feel that it is the latter since sarada seems to have more concern for herself and the fact that she thinking that everyone denying her reality affected her so much to the point of awakening ms? it's still bad tho
Unfortunately if we're being realistic, nobody fkin knows what triggered it, there are two primary theories in the fandom and both are factually false
1 She was overwhelmed, everybody suddenly hunting/attacking Boruto, hearing Naruto was killed, her father not believing her, and finally her desperate plea for him to save Boruto is was caused her MS
2 her immense love for Boruto and fear of him being killed is what triggered it
Both of these are factually wrong, others may wanna live by Ikemoto's bs rules but Im not, Kishimoto didnt spend 15 yrs establishing this power up for us to just be like 'well none of that matters now cuz Ikemoto did different' stfu, the original creator >>> an incompetent assistant that constantly says fk what Kishimoto established in his own verse to make whatever bs plot/scenario he needs to work. In this case, he needed 'change Boruto's fate' and justify Sasuke leaving with Boruto for 3 years so he pulled that omnipotence bs and then made Sarada awaken her MS solely to convince Sasuke to believe her, there was literally no other purpose than that.
So for a memory refresher, why is her MS awakening factually wrong? because neither of the explanations people give are how the MS WORKS.
This is literally in part one where we're first introduced and explained to how the MS is obtained.
Itachi says you have to kill your closest friend to obtain the MS which isnt a lie, but its not the entire truth either, but the general idea is the same as I will show here where we get more detail.
Tobirama, like Itachi, are correct in their statements, but once again it is not the entire truth either because as we've seen several times the BASE Sharingan can evolve without feelings of hatred, but a strong desire to protect those dear to you, grief, and losing a dear loved one are all triggers for the Sharingans evolution, this is further proven by the fact that Kagami and Shisui never fell into the 'curse of hatred' and still had fully evolved Sharingan, Shisui even had MS despite wanting to follow a completely pacifistic path.
Now lets go over the actual difficulty in how it is obtained, lets look at the databook first, I took the liberty of highlighting the relevant parts for those who like to stay in denial whenever this topic comes up.
A cursed ocular ninjutsu only obtainable through great sacrifice.
Through the entire history of the Uchiha clan, it was rare for a member to be able to weild the Mangekyou Sharingan.
Here's the part I want you to keep in mind going forward because I WILL be coming back to it later.
Through the entire history of the Uchiha clan
Remember that for later, now moving on to the next point, ok so thats databook statements but what about in verse? the same thing.
It was rare to obtain the MS, the clan would literally slaughter eachother trying to gain it to no avail because its NOT a simple and easy thing to obtain, otherwise everyone in the Uchiha clan would've had MS if it was just as simple as killing your own kin or being overwhelmed etc [refer to the bs reasons ppl give for why Sarada gained hers] but it actually took SPECIFIC requirements to gain, and we were shown what those were several times.
I think you notice the common theme here, Obito got his MS from seeing his best friend kill Rin, his first love, Kakashi got his at the same time from the act of killing Rin by accident, Itachi got his from watching Shisui commit suicide, Sasuke got his after killing his brother and then learning the truth about Itachi and his clan.
The theme is clear, the requirements to awaken it are even more clear, there is literally no amount of gaslighting anyone can do to overrule whats literally been consistently shown in the canon danm manga by the original creator himself.
'Oh yall just wanted Sarada to be edgy like everyone else Im glad her MS was different' is the stupidest response to this, nobody said they wanted her to be edgy, they just want her danm MS to follow the rules that have been established for 15 years. Also Shisui wasnt edgy and he had MS, so I dont even know how anyone thinks thats a gotcha anyway, she could literally still be the loving Sarada she's always been and still get MS because hatred isnt the only way the Sharingan evolves. I dunno why someone actually thought that was a rebuttal, but it just goes to show how ignorant these ppl are about how the MS works and only care about things being 'different' instead of caring about the actual worldbuilding.
Now lets move onto Sarada, her base Sharingan, although lackluster, still evolved in a way that was consistent with what was set up in OG. She awakened her sharingan for the first time due to her years of pain and longing of missing her dad and then being overjoyed when she was finally about to meet him at last. This wasnt unusual because Sasuke awakened his third tomoe because of how overwhelmed he was that Naruto considered him a brother, his first bond, and his dear friend, despite Sasuke literally trying to kill him right now and cut ties with him, Naruto's sincere love for him made his final tomoe appear. This is why the base Sharingan evolving in this way is not unusual, as long as the emotions are strong enough and struck a cord with them, then the Sharingan will evolve.
This is not the same for MS though, it is a completely different eye with a completely different set of rules, this is why Sarada's awakening is complete ass and not only that but literally breaks the rules of the verse.
Keep this in mind, she hears Naruto, her idol, the man who she aspires to be like, who at one point she wished was her dad, is dead, but not only that, she hears Mitsuki say hes going to kill Boruto. Remember this for what Im about to say next.
This is several minutes after she was told Naruto was dead and that Mitsuki was going to kill Boruto, her eyes didnt budge when she heard Naruto was dead, nor did her eyes budge hearing literally EVERYONE is actively hunting Boruto now.
At the very least the news of Naruto's death was more in line with how the MS awakens, so if she heard that and got her MS from it then it wouldnt have been all that difficult to accept, but unfortunately thats not what happened, she just sat there and cried, no reaction to Naruto dying, and no reaction to hearing and seeing Mitsuki trying to kill Boruto.
So what did trigger it? her being overwhelmed? false because thats what she was in the panels I've shown, she had been sitting there for several minutes with all this chaos goin on around her and no MS, not even her dad not believing her is what triggered it, literally NOTHING anyone tries to say it was triggered it, your literally looking at the panels, her eyes didnt BUDGE.
So what did trigger it then? if none of that did it then what did?
I shit you not, I cannot make this shit up, what triggered her MS was literally because 'Why cant Boruto ever catch a break?'
When I tell you my blood boiled reading that line words cannot describe the rage I felt because the total and I mean TOTAL disregard of everything, EVERYTHING that has happened to her dad, her idol Naruto, and Kawaki was infuriating because she NEVER asked why they cant catch a break, but now all of a sudden because poor Boruto is going through it right now all of a sudden its too cruel.
Her father lost his eye and got fatally beaten up by both Borushiki and Isshiki, Naruto was nearly killed by Isshiki and Borushiki, Kawaki was hunted down by Delta, Code, Isshiki, and Momo, Amado put karma back on him without his permission or anyones knowledge, Kawaki was slowly being consumed by Isshiki through his karma the same as Boruto was with Momoshiki and she didnt give af about NONE of that.
NONE OF THAT
She didnt give af about ANY of it, know who she did tho? Boruto, in chapter 69 who is she telling Mitsuki she feels bad for being unable to protect? Boruto, who is she angry at herself for not being reliable for? Boruto, who does she want to get stronger for so she can help them more? Boruto. This is literally right after Naruto nearly died, Kawaki nearly died, and Boruto nearly died, but the only one she gave a danm about was Boruto.
So you want the real answer to what triggered her MS? Ima be real with you, its honestly anybodys guess because Ikemoto is so bad at properly building up and portraying things clearly compared to Kishimoto, you can see clearly what the MS triggers were for everyone I showed and it isnt up for debate, its clear as day, but Sarada? you literally have to friggin guess because it just pops up so randomly your caught off guard wondering where tf that even came from.
Im not even kidding I've reread this scene so many times and I can NOT pinpoint what the trigger actually was, the only thing I can say is that the turning point was Sumire telling Sarada the cause of everything thats going on, Sarada then falls apart more because 'This is too cruel, why cant Boruto ever catch a break' which again is complete bullshit but I digress...so then she pleads for her dad to believe her and help Boruto because he's innocent but Sasuke doesnt, this is supposedly where the shift happens because her eyes are hidden during these panels.
She basically tells her dad that even if none of this makes sense to him, just to please trust her and grant her this one selfish request, aka saving Boruto.
Im not even kidding but...this is just so danm bad for her...like if I were to be completely generous and unbiased here then I can only make one conclusion from whats been laid out here and that is that her MS awakened simply because she desperately wanted her dad to save Boruto, she wanted her dad to do her this favor no matter what, she wanted him to do it so badly that her MS awakened.
That is the only explanation that can be taken from this, and that is why this is rightfully seen as the WORST MS awakening we've ever seen and why its a complete and utter disappointment because look at this shit, LOOK AT IT, she's just standing there crying and beggin daddy to help when she's had the chance to do something her danm self.
Remember earlier when she heard Mitsuki say he was gonna go kill Boruto? if she was that concerned why she aint go try to stop him? she heard everyone else out to hunt him too and yet she didnt try to go protect him from them either, I mean she could jump infront of Boruto to protect him from KK, she could jump infront of Boruto to protect him from Kawaki, she can abandon her mission to come save Boruto from Shojoji, but FOR SOME REASON she cant stand up and protect Boruto from all the people hunting him right now? her childhood friend this fandom swears up and down shes madly inlove with? she cant stand up and protect him when he needs her the most!?
I aint sayin I wanted her to be the one to leave with Boruto hell no, but leaving with him and protecting him are two entirely different things, she could've easily saved him from Inoshikacho, Chocho would've definitely tried hearin Sarada out, Sasuke could've arrived and Sarada tries to appeal to all of them there, most likely Inojin and Shikadai wouldnt believe her, Chocho is her best friend so she'd know atleast something has to be wrong for Sarada to be so insistent, and Sasuke would be the most inclined to believe her because hes already witnessed something similar with the infinite Tsukiyomi, so is it really all that impossible that Ada, who literally has Otsutsuki dna, to mass brainwash ppl? Sasuke could've told Inoshikacho to leave and let him deal with Boruto and then thats when they discuss Sarada staying behind and Sasuke leaving with Boruto for the time being.
There was no NEED for MS to achieve that, all it would've taken is a little time and effort and CARE to make that ending WORK without having to throw in a forced af power up to justify it because you were too lazy to actually write something that made sense.
But if she MUST have gotten her MS before part one was over, I can show the best opportunities they could've made it happen at.
Kawaki was about to kill Boruto, she tried asking him calmly what is going on but Kawaki just tells her not to interfere if she doesnt wanna die which shocks Sarada because this isnt like Kawaki at all, they were all friends and teammates and not long ago Kawaki was on edge trying his hardest to protect Boruto and now hes suddenly trying to kill him. Boruto told her to run but she refused and chose to protect him anyway despite Kawaki being serious about killing her if she interfered, however when actually faced with that reality she froze which resulted in Boruto saving HER instead and losing his eye.
This was a good place for MS to awaken because someone she thought was a friend is now trying to kill her other friend, her friend shes known since childhood and she cant understand why. She thought she could protect him but failed to be able to follow through and that caused her friend SHE was supposed to be protecting to end up protecting HER and losing his eye because of it. She's feeling immense guilt, betrayal, frustration, helplessness, and now she knows for sure that Kawaki really will kill both of them without hesitation.
However for this to work the scene will have to be changed a bit, Kawaki would knock Sarada out of the way cuz she isnt who he really wants to kill and then proceed to seemingly kill Boruto right infront of her before she can react in time to stop it, I say seemingly because Momo has consistently saved Boruto from otherwise fatal/irreversible injuries. Anyway after Kawaki seemingly deals the fatal blow, Sarada's MS will awaken, right then is when everyone arrives to restrain Kawaki, things play out relatively the same but only even more hostile since he apparently killed Boruto, eventually after their back and forth Boruto wakes up but its Momoshiki in control now same as the manga and he helps Kawaki escape the same way too, only difference is everyones not just shocked Momos helping but that Boruto somehow even survived, this is just another flex of Momos healing capabilities however.
Anyway thats one way she could've gotten MS that is consistent with the established rules of how the MS works.
The other moment that would've worked is the Boro fight, when everyone was getting taken out one by one and seemingly all about to be killed and Sarada was helpless on the ground after being crushed, that was more than enough reason for her MS to awaken as Boruto, Kawaki, and Mitsuki were all out cold and as good as dead.
Unfortunately neither of those happened, and thus were given the weakest, stupidest, most lackluster MS awakening in Uchiha history. Speaking of Uchiha history, remember that like I told you to remember? this is why.
A cursed ocular ninjutsu only obtainable through great sacrifice.
What did Sarada sacrifice for her MS? nothing, she sat there and cried and then begged her dad for help.
Through the entire history of the Uchiha clan, it was rare for a member to be able to weild the Mangekyou Sharingan.
THROUGH THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE UCHIHA CLAN, it was RARE for a member to obtain the MS
Keywords, through the entire history of the Uchiha clan, so tell me Saradas MS is bullshit deniers, why was it SO RARE for Uchihas throughout their ENTIRE history to gain the MS if all it took was being a little overwhelmed and scared? this clan faught WARS, children DIED loved ones DIED Uchihas [and Senjus] lived in constant fear EVERY SINGLE DAY and they NEVER awakened it it from that, not even through killing their own kin willingly to gain the power up worked, so please tell me how Sarada can just change something THATS NEVER BEEN A THING in the ENTIRE history of the Uchiha clans existence, please tell me how you think Sarada can just completely change history just by crying and begging.
You cant, because its bullshit and you know it, the MS was rare for a reason, it took SACRIFICE, it took LOSS, you didnt gain it by just sitting on your ass crying and doing nothing, being scared wasnt enough to trigger it, being overwhelmed wasnt enough to trigger it, fearing for your loved ones life wasnt enough to trigger it, but you want me to believe suddenly NOW it is? do you have any idea how disrespectful that is to the entire Uchiha clan to say that none of them ever had to die, they just simply had to be in a chaotic situation [which they were] and cry about it and boom, every single Uchiha could've had their MS easy peasy.
Gtf outta here man and just be real, her MS is bullshit plan and simple and it breaks the established rules of the verse created by Kishimoto himself. IN NO WAY is simply desperately wanting your dad to save your friend enough to awaken your MS, maybe evolve your base Sharingan, but not MS.
So yea to answer your question, the most accurate conclusion to be had from this scene, although factually incorrect for the rules of the verse, In Ikemotos verse however, Sarada's MS awakened because of her desperation for her dad to save Boruto, she wanted that so bad her MS awakened as proof of just how desperate she was for her dad to grant her request, that is the truth of what triggered it.
Im not saying this happened out of some romantic love she has for Boruto, no, but thats still her dear friend shes known her entire life, I dunno why ppl treating her MS awakening in reference to him means she loves him romantically...like I literally saw a tiktok recently where Sarada says 'I awakened my MS for you' and when asked why/how she saids 'Because I like you' and I was just like 😑 yea no wonder people keep defending this garbage, they really do NOT understand how the MS works at all. Out of all the Uchiha's we've seen awaken MS, Obito was the only one who did out of romantic love, the rest was familiar or platonic love, so why her MS awakening is somehow proof of her romantic love for him that till this day is still unconfirmed is beyond me but whatever, these ppl will stay delusional no matter what the facts same so yea, I hope this was able to answer your question.

ok finally put my hands in the air and sat down to compile the team 7 sensei rin au timeline. subject to change but like. for now here it is ^_^
-obito doesn't push kakashi out of the way of the boulder. MINDNUMBING GUILT FOR THIS CHILD!!!! rin cares about as much as she did when obito was the one to die (not at all lmao)
-important side quest! minato's favorite was kakashi and when he dies he is sad. this sadness makes him sloppy and he ends up getting captured by iwa and killed for all of the war crimes. he deserved it <3
-obito: devistated rin: eh
-with minato and kakashi gone, the team is kind of... less important... obito and rin stop going on missions outside of the village as much and without the spotlight of Politics pushing rin to become a mednin in order to copy previous succesful team setups she starts persuing other interests which.
-rin: yay now i can do what i want!!! i am free to choose any path i want!! i don't have to be a medic if i dont want to be!! i can finally follow my dreams of-
rin: *remembers that she only dislikes being a mednin because she didnt choose it. and doesnt know what she Actually wants to do*
rin: ah
-she waffles around a bit. a lot. she never actually really settles on anything, and just sort of ends up becoming a very well-rounded guy.
-anyways meanwhile in grampy madara's spoopy cave kakashi is having a Bad Time. so is madara. he got like,, the WORST guy ever to enact his plan, on account of kakashi's stupid single-minded loyalty to konoha, and he doesnt even have a sharingan
-convoluted plan to murder obito in a way that hopefully convinces kakashi to help out and gets madara an eyeball so that the plan can actually be fulfilled: activate
-obito gets the three-tails and rin hunts him down because she doesnt have anything better to do and when she finds him he's all "rin we gotta find kushina!! i can't go back to the village yet otherwise explodsions :C" and rin does some quick mental math and decides that that seal is NAUGHT getting fixed.
-rin kills obito there and then in that cave, annoying madara and the kiri ninja and obito if he was not dead. this is a Big Moment for her because she makes a Decision!! she views this as "a sliver of her true self shining through" for a while which.. is complicated but i'll get back to that.
-madara throws a rock at her. or something. and knocks her out so he can at least go scavenge the eyeballs but he only gets one before uchiha search and rescue shows up (obito was NOT disregarded by his clan disregarded uchiha do not get put on the Special Superspeed Pathway to Become Hokage team fight me)
-they see rin, unconscious, and obito, missing an eye and only recently killed, and put two and two together and get five and go "awwww D: girl almost died protecting his body from that mysterious shadow guy who just disappeared. even if she failed her effort means a lot."
-so rin, despite being kind of filler on the politics team, getts thrust into the limelight as a handy-dandy link to mend village relations with the uchiha. "girl who protected her teammate with everything she had..." ect ect. which is funny
-as a sign of good will the uchiha give her obito's remaining eye, which is a surprisingly good fit for her jack of all trades style.
-orochimaru is the last candidate for hokage so danzo n hiruzen start really scrambling to get his public reputation up. what better way to do this than to give him a child? orochimaru is studying sharingan anyways, right? he's not unhappy with it and it once again consolidates political power and anko increased his likability by that much, so like? another student? yeah? yeah?
-anko is REALLY good for rin because she'll suggest something and rin (who still just goes along with a lot of stuff at this point) agrees. and anko is the first person to realize that rin is NOT a sweet polite little girl she is messed up in exciting new ways. orochimaru is a close second.
-anyways orochimaru's poking around with bodies and stuff and the sharingan letting her take techniques and not having a convenient mask to pull on eventually leads rin to the realization that she doesn't HAVE a "true self" girrrll who would have thought....
-meanwhile kakashi is having Cave Time and through a lot of wheedling and no social interaction besides madara kakashi is convinced to do the infinite tsukuyomi For Konoha. a la danzo. (danzo sakumo hiruzen kakashi essay In Progress lol)
-rin, new, healthier self image acquired, goes on to be Very successful. orochimaru becomes the hokage, rin rotates between his private guard and missions, and everything is dandy!! once again danzo keeps his flirting with hiruzen out of the politics and the uchiha massacre doesn't happen cuz Rin tm and stuff is greatttt!!!
-also naruto is born With incident but its. fine. its fine. kushina dies jiriya who is visiting dies to seal kurama in naruto and its like. sad but who cares amiright
-so right as naruto sasuke and sakura are about to graduate, the politics machine starts working, and like. to Consolidate Power rin is the obvious choice for sensei.
-she goes "ughhh fine ok" and does it and like. its fine. its good.
-...until wave happens!!!!! :D
-fun fact! rin does love people! shes just weird about it. and sometimes she doesn't notice.
-she does beat zabuza and haku on their first meeting because she hasn't been depression napping her way through the past two years.
-but it's still a nasty wake up call, yaknow? those kids could have died! and she would have been... sad? like actually sad?
-rin still preforms on occasion, but she's weird about it in different ways now. and she's pretty sure that she actually likes these kids???
-which is weird and novel but eh. whatever. she'll do her best to teach them apparently.
-sasuke becomes a medic and. this is long and i need to wrap this up but i will elaborate on narrative signficance of this later lol because its there
-kakashi finishes collecting tailed beasts much slower because he keeps passing out (rip) but he does get there eventually
-rin is dodging hokage-ship so that she can keep messing around with her kids. yes they are jounin shut up she's not taking care of them they are her BESTIES. (important distiction that isnt even a lie. she is NOT their mom she is NOT their older sister she is the Cool Older lesbian who taught them the tricks of the trade and now they party together. a ten year age gap is not as big as you guys think it is. you can be friends with old people.)
-anyways eventually kakashi comes for naruto. it goes badly because he is perpetually exhausted and team 7 is perpetually hyped and also no one's even gne missingnin. AND his one cool trick gets countered by rin who can do the Same Cool Trick
-oh also he goes by sukea. hehe sometimes fanon is correct.
-any other version of rin would have gone ballastic but this rin scrunches her face and goes "ok so he is kind of a nohara in the same way that i am kind of an uchiha." thats not whats going on but ok i guess
-rin also kills him (now she is two for two) and madara never even got revived and then everyone just kind of. "that was weird"s the whole situation and goes home.
#hmgh i left a lot out but ive been working on this for a while. and explaining how rock lee dying leads to his entire team defecting#would take too long :C#i will do a deep dive on my tenten thoughts another day. add that one to the list boys#anyways important note that while konoha is the most succesful in this world that isnt'. that doesn't mean that its the best one#this isnt a “good” rin au she is honestly still doing horrific things#just in the name of a more concrete village. sigh.#once i figure out how to make it fun and spicy i might make an au of this au where rin anko and orochimaru Overthrow the Shinobi systerm#because if anyone's making it happen its them.#well. whatever. i think im gonna go ttake a nap im so tired. jet lag >:/

oh wow so glad to see you have a tumblr! your art is amazing and i was wondering if you could tell us a bit about your oc ipos? she has to be my favorite design of yours but how did she die? was she a werebear before or is that recent? if she's a hollow one is she trying to get her soul back? :0 sry if that's too many questions!
Ohh I'm so glad you like her! She was my first DnD character, so her story is a little lackluster tbh. I by far didn't think I'd stick to DnD as long as I did, but here we are--
also, exciting since... I haven't actually gotten to write more in-depth responses in a while, having used Twitter for a good while.
Basically, I went the vampire route, she was born human, and she chugged some bear gods blood when she was young because she was a big bug fan growing up, and thought that it would give her the ability to speak with them, due to being the only other person she knew growing up being rather reluctant to talk much. (I keep forgetting how simple and silly her reason was to do this)
The blood itself didn't quite "kick in" and she just assumed it failed and moved on, but when she was killed later by the person she lived with (who went vampire apeshit, which is why she got the bitemarks), she came back in the hybrid form (according to DM 1500 years later-) and now seems to be in somewhat of a symbiotic relationship.
This was at least the layout I gave the DM, but at this point, I'm not sure how true some of this information is anymore.
Some stuff the creature she merged with stated, seemed to relate to the remains of a dying/dead god that is trying to get away from its original body, due to the original body it came from being corrupted by something fiendish, seemingly trapped in some dark cavern...
Atm, I got a bit of a theory that her shift might actually be a genetic thing, but I haven't quite gotten the full conclusion of all that yet. Basically recently she saw her (supposedly) father in a painting, however, he had his eyes closed... which could either serve as a hint or a false bait laid out by the Dungeon Master.
Idk too much on the state of her soul atm :'0 but I remember the DM referring to her soul being rather the opposite to gone, but possibly rather resilient instead. So no idea tbh.
As well as some pieces made to illustrate the "mindscape" or visions that basically displayed her and the being she is merged with interacting.
Additionally, there is this piece done by @rema-rin which I rather like for it as well-

Gonna do something stupid and bring over a thread from my twitter because I'm maybe possibly still brainrotting over it just a little??
I was thinking about this scene from episodes 45-46 of Shippuden and I honestly love it so much, especially in hindsight, after having watched the Kakashi ANBU fillers (yes, I watch the fillers, leave me alone). So, I'm gonna nerd out and way overanalyze this for a hot second, don't mind me.
(In actuality, this ended up being half Yamato character analysis/appreciation and half actual scene analysis, and I may have lost some coherency towards the end because I was high af while writing most of this lol whoops. Enjoy? Please don't hurt me? 🙏)
When you watch this scene for the first time, you'll likely be viewing this more from Naruto's "persepctive", so to speak. You'll probably empathize with him more personally, as he's the protagonist you've been following since the beginning. You understand why he does the things he does, why he feels the way he feels.
Being so desperate to save his friend but not confident enough in his own strength that he succumbs to powers of blind rage and accidentally hurts himself and others around him in the process... It may not be a relatable struggle for everyone, but it's a sympathetic one.
And thus, you would agree with Yamato's words to Naruto in this scene; he is strong on his own, and should rely on his own power to save Sasuke.
Naruto feels the same as well. Despite being initially horrified by the revelation that he had hurt Sakura and caused so much devastation again, he genuinely wants to become stronger by his own accord and protect those that he cares about. Yamato's words resonate deeply with him.
On a second watch through, however, what I really loved about this scene is what is says about Yamato as a character.
In the Kakashi ANBU filler arc, he first realizes through trying to save Yukimi that he can protect the people he cares about in his own way.
Then he's ordered by Danzo to steal Kakashi's sharingan. He sees Kakashi at Rin's grave and sees him as the cold-hearted "friend-killer". So he tries to go through with it.
"The mission is absolute." Kakashi asks what kind of mission would ask someone to kill their friend. He asks why, then, Kakashi killed Rin, unless it was also his mission to do so. But Kakashi retorts, he hadn't wanted to kill her. She died because he couldn't protect her.
Kakashi captures him, having every intention to take him back to the leaf, when they're suddenly attacked by one of Orochimaru's experiments. Kakashi risks his own life to save him despite the fact that Yamato had just tried to kill him.
He could have just left him to die—either of them could have left the other to die at any point, but neither did. Yamato's conviction wavers. It was his mission to take Kakashi's eye, but he ultimately finds he can't bring himself to do it. So he abandons it, and for the first time, even in the face of the consequences, he questions everything; the missions, the purpose of Root, his identity, and his own will.
He realizes, then—for the second time—that he is free to think for himself and make his own choices, and that he can protect people.
But Kakashi realizes that Yamato would be punished for what he did, and urges the third hokage to help him, and they're able to pull him out of Root, much to Danzo's displeasure.

My wishlist for a Fate Route remake
I love what ufotable have done with the Fate/Stay Night Saga. They have given us incredbile adaptations of the Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel Routes, as well as blessing with beautiful tragedy that is Fate/Zero. However, if there's one criticism I have for it, it's that it's incomplete. 17 years later and we're still missing the one that started it all; the Fate Route.
Despite being the face of the franchise, Saber/Artoria hasn't managed to have her moment to shine properly since Fate/Zero and even then, it's very bittersweet. The Fate Route also gave us the lovely Shirou x Artoria romance, which many consider as the definitive ship of the saga. I do think we are way overdue for a Fate Route remake and I think it's best if it happens sooner rather than later. Not only will it give Artoria her much needed spotlight again, but it's also a good jumping on point for newcomers to get into the series. However, what I want isn't a simple retelling of the VN or the 2006 anime with better animation, I want a full remake that actually changes and fixes the issues of both. These include:
Expanding Saber's character more- with the remake, Saber's character development should be a major focus here and that includes her past as King Artoria. One way that can help flesh her out is to add in flashbacks that adapt Garden of Avalon. Not only that, but it would also give some much needed expansion on the knights too.
Expanding on Shirou and Saber's romance- we all know why Shirou loves Artoria so much, but we need to see why she loves him so much. Just like how UBW showed Rin falling for him and HF showed Sakura falling for him, Fate needs to do the same. More scenes should be shown where Artoria starts to question if her relationahip to Shirou is simply Master/Servant or if she truly likes him. A few more date scenes should be added too.
Changing Shirou's characterisation- UBW and HF really did a lot with Shirou's character and they're his best depiction, imo. The Fate Route, however, doesn't really do that. There are times when he comes across as kind of an idiot and he doesn't have as much of proactive role as he did in the later routes. Give those moments to Fate-Shirou, show him getting better at fighting and show his arc about him becoming that great hero he aspired to be.
More Archer moments- I know Archer essentially had his time to shine in UBW, but I think he was severely underused in Fate. Even HF, where he did still die early, had him more of a presence. Maybe we can even see a rematch between him and Saber right before the battle with Berserker.
Caster fight- for all its flaws, Deen's Fate/Stay Night did give a very good fight scene with Caster. This should be implemented in the remake as well and it gives both Caster and Kuzuki a proper send off.
Shirou vs Gilgamesh- since Shirou isn't fully realised yet, he can't have the exact same battle with Gil as he did in UBW. But they should still fight at least once, maybe have Gil overwhelm him before Artoria takes over.
Shirou vs Kieri- have this one be a similar fight to the one from Fate/Zero between Kirei and Kiritsugu. Have him utilise his martial arts skills more and Shirou makes use of his improved projection magic.
A new ending- the Fate true ending is something that fans do want and I think it would be a beautiful way to wrap up the saga. But honestly? I want a happily ever after ending instead and to have Artoria become a human and marry Shirou. I know it's controversial but after everything Artoria had been through, she deserves a happy ending and a chance to finally be selfish for once.
And that's my wishlist for the Fate Route remake.

ARB Birthday Special: Rintaro Himura
~~ July 16th ~~
“The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.”
Login Lines:
“Eh? What the hell are you here for? My…birthday? …Fuck it is today, isn't it?”
“To be honest, I don't care much about celebrating my birthday, but I guess thanks for reminding me.”
Voice Lines:
“I can't believe I forgot my birthday. *sighs* Whoop de fucking do. It's just another day. I don't see what the big deal is.”
“Let's see what people sent me today for my birthday. Death threats from people whose loved ones were my victims? Check. Fucked up love letters from rabid fangirls saying they want my children? Check. Honestly, I prefer the death threats over the love letters.”
“God, when was the last time I had a decent birthday anyway? I can't remember. I'm pretty sure it was at least before my bitch of an egg donor ran out.”
“No wait. The first birthday I had after Akari was born that…was pretty special. Akari was a couple of months old by then, and she was already trying to say more than that "goo goo gaga" shit. I guess she was just waiting for the right moment because on my birthday she said her first word. Rin-nii. I remember feeling so proud back then.”
“Eh? What the hell do you want, Old Man? Damn getting soft, aren't we? Well, aren't I fucking special? *smirks* Made it my mission to personally annoy you till the day you die, Old Man. Alright, alright, thanks for getting me something then.”
“Damn Old Man, this is actually pretty useful. God knows how many times I've crushed them. Eh? You’ve been smoking these motherfuckers for how long? So you can't tell me shit about smoking. Alright, you got yourself a deal, Old Man. A mistake I'm sure multiple fuckers regret. *pauses* Also…Akihisa…thanks for everything.”
“Goddamn it, Touya, it's just my birthday. You don't have to make a big deal out of it. Fuck…alright Touya, we can celebrate it. Just stop staring at me like that, you little shit. Do I even wanna know what you got me, Touya? *sighs* Alright, let me see it then. I swear if it's a knife from your collection.”
“Oh shit, this is actually really nice. At least it's something that actually suits my style. *sees pricetag* Uhh…Touya? How the hell did you afford this? *blinks* Oh gross! I did not need to know that you fucking sex fiend.”
“There you are, Akari. I haven't seen you at all today. Don’t tell me you’re trying to avoid your big brother. *pauses* Akari just…just having you back is the best gift I've ever received. Well, I'm kinda curious now. What did you get me?”
“This is a cool figure you got me Akari. *jumps* Oh fuck it just moved and…it's flying around now. *whistles* Holy shit you built this Akari? Wow…I'm stunned. I've never seen anything like it. Ouch! Motherfuck just shot fire at me?!? Huh? Well, that'll come in handy. Shit, I was never good with names but…how about Astaroth? He does, doesn't he? Well then let's get along Astaroth.”
Akihisa Lines:
“Rintaro, I'm glad I caught you. I wanted to give you something considering it's your birthday. *snorts* Hardly, but I suppose I'll make an exception just for you today. Have I ever told you how much of a little shit you are? You know you could be grateful that I even got you something, Brat.”
“I know how much you hate it when your cigarettes get crushed so I got you this case for them. Perhaps one day you’ll reach a point where you give up smoking those cancer sticks. I’ve been smoking longer than you've been alive, but I’ll make you a deal. You cut back on smoking, and I’ll do the same. Don’t want you dying too early. *sighs fondly* Seems like it was yesterday you were forced into my prison cell. *ruffles hair* Don't mention it, Rintaro.”
Touya Lines:
“Rin-chan~! Happy Birthday! Nuh-uh, birthdays are really special. That's what all those movies say. It's also your first birthday since we got out of prison. So we have to celebrate it! *pulls out puppy eyes* Yeah! I have so many things for us to do today. It's gonna be so much fun! Ah! I got you a present too! *giggles* Here!”
“I saw the jacket in the window of a store one day and thought it would be perfect for you. Hm? Oh, I just told the store owner I would [CENSORED] and [CENSORED] if he gave me a discount on the jacket. What? You asked!”
Bonus! Akari Lines:
“Rin-nii Happy Birthday. *nods* Ah, yes, that. It's your birthday and the first one we've been able to celebrate together in a long time. So I wanted to make sure your gift was perfect. You deserve something besides that Rin-nii. So here. I hope you like it.”
“Not quite Rin-nii. Watch this. Activate. *giggles* It's your very own dragonbot. It's just something I've been working on for a while. I was just waiting for the right moment to give it to you, and what's more perfect than today? Of course! Just in case you don't have your lighter in you. Oh, also, he doesn't like being called it. He's got feelings too, ya know? Now you just gotta name him! *smiles* He likes it! Promise you'll take good care of him, Rin-nii.”

Kuroshitcember 2022 Prompt Nr. 25 - Christmas Special 3/3
prompt: Sebastian bears an awful resemblance to someone held near. Pick a character and let them realise this!
You can find all prompts here!
All of these will be uploaded/archived to this blog's Ao3 eventually
📌Because I ended up not being able to participate in quite a lot of prompts lately, I decided to put together a 3 part little story for 23rd, 24th, and 25th of December, each chapter inspired by that day's prompt. I tried incorporating as many characters as I could <3 I hope you enjoy!! I hope I can keep up writing after Christmas though <3 these prompts have been amazing, and it's been so much fun participating <3
Summary: On Christmas Day, the Phantomhives host a special Christmas Dinner. This year, it's even more special than they anticipated... as memories of Vincent flood everyone's minds. CW: kuroshitsuji spoilers (if you don't know about o!ciel and r!ciel, do not read this 3 parter!!), mentions death, suicide, anatomy study, workhouses - please be careful if you are easily triggered by real events that happened in the past. oh, if you don't ship Vincent/Undertaker, please don't send hate <3 it's just a fleeting mention, but still <3
“What…” Sebastian and Ciel stood in the dining room, forty minutes before the annual Christmas Dinner was set to begin.
The decorations that the servants, along with Agni and Prince Soma, had put together were………..
Interesting.
It was all made of paper and glittering glue. Tanaka had tried to show everyone the best way to create Christmas crafts to decorate everything – but the servants weren’t the greatest at following orders.
Amidst well presented art made by Tanaka were some that were… either plain ugly, burned to a crisp, or confusing imitations of Christmas trees.
Sebastian hoped they were Christmas trees, at least…
Oh, and the Undertaker had shown up early to the party, inviting himself to aid in the Christmas crafts to add some “festive skulls” to the decorations – of course, because why not?
Prince Soma had also taken it upon himself to change the way the table had been carefully prepared by Mey-Rin, removing all chairs for everyone to sit on cushions on the floor, and removing the “confusing amounts of cutlery”. How Prince Soma had managed to find a low enough table that housed over 14 people, no one knew. Not even Agni.
“He looks positively pale. That means we succeeded in what dear Finnian called the ‘wow’ factor,” the Undertaker said with an air of sarcasm only Ciel and Sebastian seemed to pick up on. The glares they sent his way only made the Undertaker fall into a fit of laughter.
“My lord, I will immediately change–“
“Don’t.” Ciel interrupted his butler. He sighed. “Despite what I might think of the decorations… it does incorporate the culture and personalities of everyone at the estate including the varieties of guests we’re serving. Christmas doesn’t belong to aesthetics. It belongs to the people. Just leave it. Spend the time double checking the food is… up to standards though. I’m starving.” Ciel turned to leave, but paused to add a quick: “Focus on the desert, actually.”
Sebastian sighed. This Christmas was definitely not running the smooth, traditional way it usually did. Then again, what else did he really expect at the Phantomhive estate?
“I think he liked our decorations,” Finny whispered to the others with glee.
Shaking his head, Sebastian left them to their joy to double check Agni had saved the food.
…
“He acts awfully fatherly, doesn’t he?” Ronald pointed out. He and his red dressed reaper partner were on their way to give William the… (sort of) bad news.
The holidays were a time when reapers had to work overtime. For a full 24 hours, they had to deal with suicides (this was not on Ronald’s pay-roll, only certain reapers were allowed to handle these), murders, starvations, people freezing to death, and other freak accidents (a lot of people die from candles, surprisingly)… Normally, there was a night shift. But with the added family drama humans often brought to the holidays, the night shift also had to work 24 hours alongside the day shift.
“Who?” Grelle asked.
With three more hours to go, things were starting to calm down. When Ronald and Grelle walked through the office, people weren’t running around with papers and bloody scythes anymore. People were starting to clean up instead, or slumping down in their chairs with a hot beverage to calm down.
Ronald pitied the reapers that had to take first shift in the morning after all these hours – but this was the life of a reaper. They had to suck it up.
“That demon of his. Of Phantomhive’s.”
“If you ask me, it only shows what good potentials he would have as a husband,” Grelle said simply, smirking.
“You want children?”
“If they’re mine I wouldn’t quite hate them so much,” Grelle scolded. “If they were mine, they would have impeccable taste and not shout so much. Obviously.”
Shaking his head at Grelle’s words, Ronald refrained from commenting on it. Truth be told, Ronald could see her being quite a good mother. There was empathy and gentleness hidden away behind a façade of craziness.
Though… that was not what either reaper should be focused on anyway, because they had just reached William T. Spears’ office door. Preparing themselves for the scolding of a life time, they opened the door to find their supervisor hunched over his table, paper everywhere from table to floor to even one stuck on the ceiling, and with his hair a complete mess. The long shift had taken a toll on him too, it seemed.
Which most likely only meant the scolding was going to be ten times worse.
“Ehm…” Grelle pushed Ronald ahead, forcing him to take point on the bad news. “Mister Spears, sir. We uh… We just came back from London-“
“Yes?” William snapped, lifting his gaze from piles of papers to try and locate a report in Ronald’s hands. Upon not seeing one, his eyes narrowed into anger which was dangerously murderous.
“Uh – Well, you see… Those uh, workhouse children you asked us to reap?”
“Yes?” Despite only speaking so few words, it was crystal clear what William still meant. Honestly, it was a gift that he could portray so much with just the inclination of tone… and glares…
Hurry it up, Knox, I have work to finish.
“Uh, we didn’t get their souls. The demon – Sebastian Michaelis – got in the way… We did, however, get some other souls that took their place if that’s-“
“What?” William straightened up behind his desk. “What do you mean he interfered? We- We would have known if he was going to! Those children were set for death, we were not told of any inclinations of possible fate twisting changes-”
Standing up, William began rummaging through the mess on his desk, lifting papers, throwing some to the floor even, to try and find what he was looking for.
It was madness, really. William T. Spears was never disorganised.
“William, darling,” Grelle piped up, stepping up beside Ronald with a less crazy look in her eyes than she usually had around Will. “Have you allowed yourself even a second’s break?”
“What does that have to do with the – There,” William found what he was looking for, apparently, and lifted one folder for him to read through. “Six souls, aged between 6 and 10…”
Then it got quiet.
“They’re not deceased?” William asked again for clarification.
“No, sir.”
“None of them?”
“None.”
William flopped back down into his chair, folder falling to the floor as he let out such an exhausted sigh that it looked like he had given up on life – again.
“It’s not in the report. Which means Sebastian acted upon a nature which was not predicted by fate, which indicates it even goes against demon nature… Those are four separate reports for me to fill in after work, not to mention the two reports I will have to write taking your statements, then write up a full conclusion of my own investigation as I go down there-“
“William,” Grelle interrupted. “That’s impossible for you to do all alone after this shift.” She walked up to him, noting he was still listing reports and documents he needed to take care of because of this one incident under his breath, not listening to her.
He was beyond exhausted. He was getting delirious.
“William…”
“No, you cannot help. There is a Christmas dinner being served for all who have participated in this long shift.” The words ‘you both should go, I’ll handle this’ were not said, but it was heavily implied.
“William, darling, you do so much for us all…” Grelle tried with a frown, earning nothing more but a shake of his head. Approaching him, she sat down on the arm rest of his office chair, wrapping herself around him, arm around his shoulders. William didn’t budge, not even leaning away from her to try and recover some personal space.
It was both an act of affection from Grelle, and her making good use of this version of William so she could have some intimacy… But it was mainly a testament to William’s exhaustion. If William had been feeling alright, he would have pushed further, moved away from Grelle’s attempts to let her help him.
“How about, we give you a break not for you, but for someone else?” That sentence was entirely confusing, even for Ronald. Both male reapers glanced at Grelle in confusion. Gently, she brushed some stray strands of hair away from William’s face, an act normally not needed should the supervisor be feeling like himself. “If you can’t take a break for yourself, then take a break for someone else…” That didn’t clarify it either. “Besides, you have to go there anyway to investigate the premises and search for that demon.”
…
Apologising profusely, Mey-Rin wobbled up the ladder. Her glasses were fogging up from the sheer anxiety… But she soon calmed down when Agni remained gently smiling at her, doing nothing more but climb the second ladder to assist her.
The entrance hall to the Phantomhive Manor was huge. Literally. It was a testament to the wealth of the Phantomhives, and a testament to the dramatic flair of a certain demon who had “helped” rebuild it.
Of course, the servants and everyone else didn’t know about the latter part.
Its grandness meant that the walls were extremely tall, perfect for fitting large portraits of long lost family relatives onto it; watching over the going-ons in what used to be their domain.
One such portrait was that of Earl Vincent Phantomhive, the previous head of the family before Ciel.
“Sorry to disturb you, sir,” Mey-Rin whispered to the portrait. “Twas all my fault, I’m too clumsy.”
In harmony, Agni and Mey-Rin lifted the long line of tinsel up and stuffed it back behind the top corners of the portrait. Around the entire hall, Christmas decorations were put up high up to create a flair of glistening beauty as a welcome to the guests. Mey-Rin had… somehow… tripped and let one plate fly up into the air, only for it to bring the decorations down with it.
Agni had been present, catching Mey-Rin before she fell face first onto the floor, before then proceeding to help her fix the decorations.
“There we are,” Agni calmly said, “all fixed again, and no one will ever know anything even occurred here.”
Yet, despite being done, both stayed up on the ladders, staring at the portrait. It was immaculately done, with details only the finest of artist, or closest of friend, would have known existed on Vincent’s face.
“He looked like a kind gentleman,” Agni eventually said. His voice echoed against the walls, but no one paid it any attention. All guests were currently in the dining hall, enjoying the peculiar decorations, the fine food and each other’s company. Even Ciel had been seen cracking a smile from time to time when Elizabeth said something – that in and of itself was a Christmas Miracle, truly.
“I wish I could have known him… I bet it woulda gladdened the Earl plenty if someone could tell stories about his dad,” Mey-Rin pondered.
“Tanaka could, no?”
“Tanaka does, but… There’s something between the two of them. I can’t tell what, but sometimes it feels like Tanaka doesn’t want to remind Ciel of the past, even the good stuff.”
“It can be painful sometimes… To know the good will never come back.” Agni sighed. “I see it in my prince’s eyes sometimes. He does not want to go back home, but he does miss it… I know he does.”
“But there’s new good things here,” Mey-Rin said.
“Yes.” Agni smiled at that, offering an appreciative smile toward the maid. “And that is the case for your master too.” Slowly, the two started heading down the ladder again. “I heard he spent the afternoon helping the poor.”
“Yes he did indeed, sir. My master is the kindest. He took us all in too, even if we were… not exactly the best of servants.” Done on the marble floor once more, the two continued to stare up at the portrait. “I wish he could have something other than a portrait of the good times, I do.”
“He has a great Khansama. Actually…” Both servants suddenly cocked their heads to the side, realisation hitting them both. “His Khansama looks a little like…”
“Yes,” a third voice said, “so you’ve noticed it too?”
…
“That was mighty kind of you, sir,” Ronald praised, stuffing his mouth full with leftover stuffing.
“You are meant to eat that with the turkey – Oh why do I bother? You’re going to do whatever you want anyway,” William sighed, rolling his eyes.
He, Grelle and Ronald were perched atop the church roof once more. Down below them, Christmas carols were being sung by a choir, their voices a beautiful background to a Christmas morning sunset. Across the road, the workhouse stirred with laughter, cheers and prays of gratitude. Not only had the children been offered toys that day, but the children had also been given a mysterious feast of Christmas food – prepared, unknowingly to them, by the reapers who had wrongfully predicted their deaths.
Sitting atop foldable beach chairs, the reapers took in the sight of their charity as kids rushed around sharing the food amongst each other; food they otherwise would have never gotten, not even a goose to share between them.
“It wasn’t my idea, Knox,” William corrected. “Though I suppose no one will ever believe it if we said Sutcliff offered up a luxury of hers.”
“Hey,” Grelle commented with offense, “I can be nice sometimes. Besides, you really needed a break from working with the dead.”
“That’s… awfully insightful of you,” William said in surprise. In his hands, he held a plate of food he was enjoying at the end of their shift. His held more turkey than the others. He’d been forced to have more turkey on his as he had made a simple comment that he enjoyed turkey – apparently, hearing William say he ‘enjoyed’ something was seen as a Christmas Miracle, which then urged Ronald and Grelle to fill his plate with turkey.
“I take offense to the fact you sound so surprised.”
“And I am surprised Miss Sutcliff isn’t throwing a tantrum over all these offenses thrown her way,” Ronald teased. “’Tis a Christmas Miracle!”
Ronald’s last words were said in unison with one of the kids rushing outside to throw themselves into the snow, creating a little snow angel out of glee to have new toys and food all within the span of 12 hours.
All three reapers – yes, even William – chuckled at that.
Sometimes, working with the dead meant little appreciation was offered to the living. All they saw was the suffering toward the end, moving past the good they saw in the cinematic records like it was nothing, but always taking note of the bad. The good… was easy to forget, and easy to set aside when in reality that should be what people focused on the most. Successfully eating three meals a day, successfully brushing one’s teeth, seeing a puppy on the street, having access to one’s favourite books, being able to go for a walk, laughing with friends – or, in this case, sharing Christmas dinner on the roof of a church whilst enjoying the merriment of happy children being fed by luxuries no one on Earth had (William was going to get in trouble for this, but for now… he didn’t worry about it).
As shifts ended, other reapers joined them too. It wouldn’t become a tradition, but it was a pleasant way of spending Christmas morning together as a found family in the afterlife.
…
“Yes,” a third voice said, “so you’ve noticed it too?”
The Undertaker had been taking a break from the merriment of nobles. He didn’t mind it so much, really, he was used to accompanying the Phantomhives at holidays. It was just… a lot, and a lot of colour and a lot of jokes that only made half sense to him as a being who knew the intricacies of the universe.
It got tiring to dumb it down sometimes.
Besides… lately… these holidays had been a tad more difficult for him. It used to be that Vincent sat at the head of that table, Rachel by his side and twins running around the table until they were told off by Madam Red. It used to be that the Undertaker sat on one end of the table, next to Vincent, whilst Rachel sat opposite him on the other side of Vincent.
It used to be that Vincent would hold both their hands under the table, offering glittering, appreciative glances to both as they secretly celebrated a shared holiday as a family bigger than the onlookers thought it was.
It used to be…
But it wasn’t no more.
Now, a child pretending to be another child sat at the head of the table, with the Undertaker far away… watching as a demon who had stolen the looks of his beloved tended to the butler duties and whispered in the young lord’s ear. It was suffocating to know more than even demon and master…
But it was also pleasant to be reminded of the old days, in a sad sort of way. And it was pleasant to be reminded of what he was attempting to change… what he was trying to accomplish…
So when he had walked back to the bathroom and heard the maid and prince’s butler talk about Vincent, the Undertaker had stayed in the shadows to listen in. He couldn’t quite help it.
Nor could he help but butt in once they realised a truth he so desperately wanted others to realise too.
Why did the demon choose a father’s face if demons could not care for humans?
“Yes, so you’ve noticed it too?” Mey-Rin and Agni spun around so quickly that the Undertaker simply had to cover his lips with oversized sleeves as he let out a giggle. “The face of a dead father returns in the shape of a black butler, mimicking the human like a raven found at cemeteries, picking at the dead… waiting to pounce…”
“I… sir?” Agni voiced as Mey-Rin was too scared to ask anything at all.
This particular guest was always an enigma to all. He helped the young lord, yet he also… was curious. Scary, sometimes. As if he was an antagonist waiting to show his true colours.
“teeeheee – look at your faces,” the Undertaker giggled. “Did I fool you? Vincent was a great friend of mine. If you want to know anything ever all you have to do is call on me. I aid not just the dead.” The Undertaker was beginning to walk away, when Agni stopped him with his words.
“Sir? Do you think Earl Ciel chose Sebastian as his Khansama because he felt… that the familiar face was comforting?”
The Undertaker dramatically turned around in a slow gesture, tilted his head to the side and offered a tooth revealing grin as he said: “Oh no, I think it was the exact opposite. Those with dark hearts are not meant to become attached, but I think something in the past of our beloved hell of a butler changed the man to want the child to choose him as his most trusted protector. Like a father. I think the man chose the son.” The Undertaker grinned at their confusion. “But then again, I’m just a crazy fool speaking far too many truths. I should return to the feast.”
Indeed… the Undertaker had a feeling that the face was chosen purposefully, so Ciel would feel calm around that which was a demon of hell, meant to scare kids. Whatever past the demon held had meant that the demon understood how a child’s mind works… It knew Ciel needed a father figure to help feel comfortable as he exacted revenge. To keep motivated.
And to feel safe.
…
“I don’t mean to speak ill of the master’s guests but… What a strange man,” Mey-Rin pointed out.
Agni quietly nodded his head, not wanting to speak ill of anyone either. “Let’s return to our work. The feast will be over soon.”
…
“Sebastian?”
The demon paused in the doorway. Room dark from the night. The only light source was the candle held by Sebastian, and the moon shining brightly outside. The child barely saw Sebastian. But the demon saw him as he turned to look.
It had been a long day, and Ciel was exhausted, his breathing even a little ragged from poor health making him even more easily tired.
“Yes, my lord?”
“If Timothy wanted you to be his father, how could you… take his soul?”
The question struck deep within the demon, eyes turning red. Enough about Timmy, already. His master really needed to learn to let go of the past – then again, if Sebastian started teaching Ciel that, his work to get Ciel’s vengeful soul to perfection would fail.
“In truth, my lord, I found ways to extend the contract. I am not proud of it, but I did. It was… a confusing couple of years.” Staying in the doorway, Sebastian only felt comfortable admitting this because of the distance between them, and the fact that Ciel’s question had come out slurred, indicating the boy was half asleep and might not remember this. “And it was not easy to take the child’s soul. Nor will it be this time.”
There was no reply. Sebastian assumed Ciel had gone to sleep and left the bedroom, locking the door behind him.
Left alone in the darkness, Ciel, quietly, pondered those words. The face of his father had spoken those words… It felt… Strange. Oddly comforting.
When Christmas Day ended, Ciel fell asleep with a peaceful smile on his lips…

Fated Rantings: Bone of the Sword
I've done it, I've finally crawled my way from Fate/Stay Night 2006 to finishing Unlimeted Blade Works. Well, technically I started with FGO and watched Apocrypha first....
But that's not what's important! (at least, to me) What's relevant here is that I have finished what many consider the best adaption of the original Fate/Stay Night visual novel.
If you've found this at random or if you think Fate is an anime series allow me to clarify real quick. Fate/Stay Night is a visual novel, a type of game-book hybrid you play on pc.
Visual novels tend to have multiple routes, endings, and character scenarios that require more than one run. Something built with replay-ability in mind.
Due to this Fate/Stay Night is a video game series that's exploded into a setting that branches multiple media. The anime adaptions in particular seem confusing because they usually tackle different routes presented in that original novel. (some are fully unique stories)
Fate: Unlimited Blade Works specifically is the "Rin route" made into an anime. What makes it popular is the focus on Shirou Emiya but I also think that this small corner within the Fate world that Ufotable has made plays a huge factor.
Although terms, characters, and some events are shared each Fate work is typically it's own timeline of events. Each with one to several routes as equally valid as the other due to the String Theory setting the universe exists in.
So while each anime is it's own thing, can be watched as it's own thing, Ufotable in particular also connects them. Fate Zero is referenced rather heavily in Unlimited Blade Works.
(I'll refer to Unlimited Blade Works as "UBW" from here on)
I was actually surprised by this given what I know about how the author, ol Nasu, thinks about the parallel timeline setting. That does not make it unwelcome though.
If you watch Fate/Zero first and Fate: UBW second you'll feel like you've watched a three to four season story that spans two generations.
You may even feel more invested the side series El Melloi since Waver from Fate/Zero is the lead of that story but now ten years older.
In essence, UBW is great own it's own merit but the adaptions produced by Ufotable create this small pocket of continuity that can be appealing.
I rambled off a bit there, I apologize. Doing so helps me think but also helps me clarify points as I go, think of it as build up. I wanted to convey how these anime adaptions appeal to so many.
That said, you're likely confused as to why I said the focus on Shirou Emiya makes this story so popular. After all, it is based on the Rin Tohsaka route of the novel. She's the heroine here, so why is Shirou more of a focus?
To put it bluntly, it is because it focus' on the fucked up mentality of Shirou Emiya and how that manifests as Archer.
Rin gets plenty of focus herself. She's a good kid, more of a tsundere trope than she was in Fate 06, but it's nothing compared to Shirou's self destructive nature.
It was something I mentioned in relation to Saber's character when I finished Fate 06 way back when. I covered it only in relation to her own character and in how they both help "fix" each other.
What I did not realize back then is the likelihood that Shirou, albeit changed, was not deterred from his nature.
Dual Emiya
If episode 20 did anything it was showcase that Shirou is determined to die. Not in a literal suicidal fashion but in his stubbornness. He's unwilling budge on his ideals and goal even when he has his future self standing in front of him to tell him how much of a hypocrite he's being.
In fact, several times the story points this out to Shirou. Shirou's foolishness lets Caster steal Saber forcing her to endure much against her will.
Rin tells him several times how self destructive he is. After all, you truly can't save everyone nor can you do much for others if you die. Dying in the process of helping someone rarely actually helps. Fiction aside, you often just die trying.
You will likely find Shirou annoying as a result of his choices. Despite everyone and the world telling him he is wrong he won't accept that he is wrong. I've watched two Fate/Stay Night adaptions now, seen much more in lore vids and FGO, and I can't see him as anything other than a fool.
I will not sugarcoat it for you, Shirou Emiya is a fucking idiot.
However he is not a bad person nor is he a bad character. Like Rin states, it's hard to not like a person like that. Suicidal, sure, foolish, definitely, but that core drive to help other people is rare.
I personally do not hate his character. I will state again, I think he's a fucking idiot, but he is not bad. This flaw actually sells his character.
Heroic Spirit Emiya
This flawed personality manifests in a loose sense as Archer. The confrontation between the two is interesting to me for how quiet Shirou is throughout most of it.
Archer is the hero of justice Shirou hopes to be but Archer is also the Shirou that realizes he's a fool. Their entire battle is Archer trying to kill his past self in a vain attempt to end his own existence.
If not that, then he at least hopes to talk sense into his past self. Not once does Archer make a point that can be considered wrong. That may seem like an objective statement based on my subjective view of Shirous ideals but no.
I say that with confidence because Shirou himself admits it. As the fight progresses he sees glimpses of Archers life, Shirou's future. Archer states truths that Shirou didn't want to admit but is forced too.
Shirou is forced to admit his hypocrisy. He offers few rebuttals. Whether it's saying he'll "correct" the flaws in his view that creates Archer or avoid the mistakes that Archer experienced.
By the end he's forced to admit it is moot. Archer is right, even down to the dream Shirou strives for. To be a hero of justice wasn't Shirou's dream but Kiritsugu's.
A dream that Kiritsugu was forced to realize as impossible by the end of the 4th Grail war. A fact that Shirou did not learn.
Kiritsugu told his adoptive son that he had to give up on his dream but he did no tell him why. This was possibly the last bad decision Kiritsugu made in relation to his ideals as a hero of justice.
That does not mean that he should've (or even could've) told Shirou the truth of the war but it does mean that he likely shouldn't have mentioned magecraft or his lost dream to the boy.
Shirou suffers form extreme survivors guilt, he wanted a reason to justify him being alive, and so he adopted Kiritsugu's dream.
This, this realization, was probably the most interesting thing Archer forced Shirou to admit. If not to himself then to me as the viewer.
Shirou fully admits to his own hypocrisy, he embraces being a "faker" in the UBW route, but sticks to his dream anyway because it is worth it to him to validate Kiritsugu even a little.
What he remembers most from that fire wasn't being saved but seeing how finding even just one living person saved Kiritsugu from total madness.
In this vein Shirou isn't wrong. Even if everything from his ideals to his magecraft is imitations and borrowed they do have value. They can succeed where the original didn't.
Confused?
Having read that you probably feel like I just went in circles. If you do then that is natural because Shirou & Archer are arguing in circles.
They are self admitted hypocrites. There is no way to fix this logic.
If Shirou is forced to realize his hypocrisy and grim future then Archer is forced to remember his determination. UBW dives into Archer's logic but his character always falters in every Fate route.
You may even find it odd or jarring how he'll flip between oddly hostile to willingly dying to stop Berserker or give Shirou an arm. (yes that is literal)
There is a purity in Shirous dreams, as borrowed as they are, and Archer still has that buried under regret. It is a bit hard to explain, perhaps I just did not understand it well, but I take Archer's defeat as acceptance.
I do not think that he believes himself to be wrong, hell I do not think Archer is wrong, but he accepts that there is no fixing his path. Maybe, deep down, he also hopes that his dream wasn't a total mistake.
Shirou's Others
I started this knowing that I would likely have to make two posts anyway due to everything UBW throws at you but I've ended up making this one the Shirou & Archer post...
A part of this is basic info but that whole text wall between is all from just three episodes. The battle between Shirou & Archer adds that much to think about.
Shirou is molded by his other interactions to be sure but nothing in Fate dives as deeply into his mind and flaws as that battle did. And yes, I know where he ends up depends on the route (female lead) taken but they just do not dig that deep-
As soon as I typed that I made a bet with myself. Just you watch, when I sit through Heaven's Feel I'll prove myself wrong.
What I mean to say is that I didn't really fold Rin into this. UBW is technically her route or it's based on it to be technical.
While Saber & Shirou seem to naturally help each other with their flaws in that route Rin just tells Shirou when he's being foolish.
But I may need to save that for the part two of this post. I can't think of more to add due to how much that one battle overshadowed my impressions of Shirou.
I can explain Rin in the other post but aside the hypocrisy of his dream I can't draw on more. There is stuff there, the little things, like how Rin determines to help Shirou realize his self worth.
The whole epilogue episode is great, Shirou and Saber's friendship, and then there's the cute date scenes. There is more to Shirou in this adaption but none of them really dig into his motives. His realizations.
Oh well, onto part two!: https://derekscorner.tumblr.com/post/740393959245938688/fated-rantings-unaware-of-loss-nor-aware-of

Hey Knight I just saw the villain champion chart thing and I was just wondering why you decided to put the champions where they are
Like I understand Diantha, Geeta, and Lance cause they do be evil. But why the rest? Cynthia’s place really confuses me lol
Man idk bc I made that around eleven in the pm and my minds always out of it past nine jcmdnd hahaha
But like I did have concepts for it back then so hey hahah
So villain au Leon, he believes what he's doing is right, he thinks that hey since he's really the "no1 Champion" he should be the one protecting the weak from any threat, but ofc, it got to the point he'd really kill em and such bc why let a threat just walk around his region right? Also y'know, that thing w Rose threatening Hop and Leon finding out abt it, sponsor be damned he actually up and killed Rose bc why would anyone even try to think of hurting the Champion's brother? People didn't really question him bc ofc, why tf would they even go against the strongest fucking trainer of their region, and Leon was like really happy that people understand why he's doing it, unaware that they're actually terrified of him. A few did speak up abt it tho, and Leon did not take it well, he's going on how if they don't want him to make Galar peaceful, then they are a threat to Galar
Wallace idk bc my initial plan was for him between thinking he's doing right and doing it for the lols I'm sorry my mind really was so out of it last night I did so many questionable shit w my drafts here on Tumblr too😭 but like cndmnd y'know, he and Steven for this one, two Wingull w one Stone hahaha and like, maybe they would think the same way like Leon, just trying to protect the weak. But I also wanna say that Wallace also likes the thrill of being a villain maybe, bc again, my initial thought was for him between doing what's right and for the lols, and maybe he got that power to his head, especially since he does know how to make Kyogre bow down to him
I did,, mention that Steven would kill for Wallace and Lisia, and maybe he really went on w that, and hey he thinks he's doing right bc he's just protecting the ones he loves right?
Hau genuinely believes he's doing right bc ofc in this au the champions are all so out of it na rin, so they manipulated him to make him believe in them more, and they'd just tell him that what they're doing is actually right, even tho they're killing people
Iris is in between Dia/Lance and Cynthia bc I do think that the champions' manipulation runs that deep in her that she became downright fucking cruel. But like, y'know, she's enjoying it too, people looked down on her for most of her life, and now she's having fun making them kneel before her and finally realizing how strong of a champion she really is
Cynthia idk bc whenever I imagine Cynthia as a villain I always see her as someone who'd really be evil for lols, and doing evil stuff to get what she wants, like you catching my drift here? Hahah like I imagine her really just acting all friendly w trainers, but if smth did happen to them and they don't know she's there, she'd just watch and see if they'd be okay, she's curious if they're strong enough. And when she found out abt Cyrus' plan abt recreating the world, her curiosity piqued, and she just watched it all unfold. Altho w this one tho, I do wanna say that she did,, help?? Him?? Catch Mesprit, Uxie, and Azelf to create the Red Chain, and she told them that she really didn't care abt what's the whole deal on recreating the world, she just wanted to see all these legendary pkmn, and she did. Saw Cyrus die before her bc of Giratina, saw Gira and went on how powerful he was, and y'know told him that she's also a powerful trainer, and maybe if they work together they'd become more powerful than Arceus. And yeah, idk, even w the actual pkmn version of Satan she's not at Satan incarnate bc I wanna say she really isn't like Diantha who manipulates anyone or Lance who just kills anyone, rather she just doesn't care much abt anyone else and just likes the feeling of being godlike, especially now she and Giratina share a body, and she got Giratina's own power now too
#i hope this makes sense bc i just woke up too like i slept around 1:44 last night—#so im like.. vibing hahaha#ah but yeah holy shit villain champions fnmdnd#i never really thought much abt like.. leon wallace and steven's bit much#compared to iris and hau and cynthia#bc the former three i really think theyd be seen as evil despite them believing theyre doing right#is bc how they do shit is really fucked up so people are like 'uhm.. champions are yall okay—'#but then again stevens a really hidden villain i think he can get away w a lot of murder#ough holy shit man sorry tho like even im vibing rn what the absolute fuck happened in my drafts here on tumblr#tf did i do last night it was 180smth last night and then suddenly its at 80smth#what kind of healing is this😭#is this even still considered healing holy shit i really deleted a lot of stuff w h a t—#ah well hey ig hahaha#pokemon champions#villain champions au#an ask and an answer#jerseyk112

We all complained so much about there being too much filler that now they got rid of it completely.
Like, for example, with Hazbin. I liked this show a lot and I can honestly say that each episode was great - but that's the problem. We don't need only great, plot-heavy episodes. We need those stupid episodes that have shitty silly songs and that have the characters doing the most random shit together. We NEED filler to see these characters properly. Like, objectively, I can tell that by episode 8 all the residents of the hotel (besides Alastor) were friends - but I didn't see them become such outside of those plot-necessary episodes. I didn't see Angel and Sir Pentious hanging out or even fight together in the third episode because it wasn't plot necessary. We didn't see Huskerdust develop outside of episode four. We didn't see Charlie and Vaggie go on a date. We didn't see the other residents stalking them on said date (they absolutely would have). We didn't see Alastor and Rosie gossip like old ladies over tea. We didn't see Charlie and Emily going to that zoo and Charlie hugging a koala. We are TOLD about these things, which is exactly why they fall flat.
And that's just one example! Another could be Jujutsu Kaisen - honestly the most obvious example too. That manga had exactly zero filler. I'm gonna be honest, besides the baseball game and the time the main trio met that girl from Yuuji's highschool, there was no downtime. The show tried to fix that a bit in the first season - we got Juju Stroll at the end of each episode and honestly it was a perfect way to counter Akutami's lack of filler. But they didn't give us that in the second season, which I was pretty bummed about. We lost a lot of characters way too quickly. The only real times we actually saw them interact was when they were working, training or straight up fighting - we were told that they were friends but we were never shown that much.
Back in the day with the first anime gen - when shows like Naruto or Pokemon were coming out, we got A LOT of filler. So much that it became a joke. I mean, there's quite literally a list on how exactly to watch One Piece if you want to avoid all the filler. I think that this specifically - the sheer amount of filler in these popular shows - was what made the industry think that we don't want any filler at all. I mean, everyone knew things like Pokemon or Naruto, no? And everyone complained about the filler eps. And I can admit, the amount that we got back then was way too much. But we still needed SOME. Second Gen did much better on this, was perfect in fact. Well, okay, I'm actually not entirely sure if you consider Black Butler or Blue Exorcist second Gen but I always did so whatever. Like, Blue Exorcist (the anime at least) had a perfect amount of filler to be fair. We're gonna ignore the second half of the first season (I still don't understand what was the point of making up the entire plot??), but first half was GREAT. Like, it had the lore and everything, but we also got those stupid silly episodes like Rin and Yukio trying to make peace with the demon in their kitchen. I love that episode honestly. And even the lore episodes had filler bits! Shima and Rin hanging out on the beach was so much fun to watch. It made me much closer to these characters than seeing them die every other episode ever could.
I'm gonna circle back to JJK here. Like I said, in Jujutsu there is no filler. So the events of the plot are also happening way too quickly to be considered normal. The characters feel a little empty, the relationships fall flat, and there is too much personal info that we have to make up about the characters. Like, I wanted to see the old Jujutsu Tech squad go to that arcade or get ice cream or sneak out of the school grounds way too late into the night. I wanted to see Getou and Gojou sneak out to go flying on Suguru's manta ray before Satoru learned to fly after the whole Toji incident. And I wanted to see the new trio go to the beach with their upperclassmen, I wanted to see them take stupid pictures of each other, go to the cinema, have sleepovers. I didn't just want to be told about these things in the opening or ending sequence. I wanted to SEE them, because then it wouldn't feel so... unsatisfying to see these characters go. Like, I loved Nobara. But we did not get to see enough of her before the wholeshit show happened. We didn't see enough of Getou being a teenager with a genuine love for this world and his friends before he went insane. We didn't see enough. And I'm so upset about this.
We complained and we were left with nothing. I hate this so much.
genuinely one of the worst things that’s happened to television in the last few years (exacerbated by streaming services) is death of Filler. going from 20 episodes to 8 because “we didn’t really need that episode where the main characters went to the beach right? it had no long lasting effect” but we DID!!! we needed to see how they act without the Big Bad Plot and to establish the dynamics between the characters and lay in the sun (do they forget sunscreen? how do they react to a thieving seagull? do they get buried in the sand or do they do the burying?). the plot isn’t everything. the action doesn’t hit as hard without the quiet moments. give us character development and our little scenes back
#i just needed to rant about all of this#when I heard that the pjo show would have so little episodes I almost cried#those books raised me and eight episodes is NOT enough to do them justice#i honestly kinda hated that show but that's a whole other convo that Tumblr isn't read for#like give me filler
