not me watching the doctor quinn wedding episode and realizing that watching that episode on reruns at age 12 permanently altered my brain to the point that that's just. how i write fade to black romance now 💀

REALLY good fade to black romance. like it's a newly married couple. they're kissing. they draw the shades. they're clearly #very attracted to each other and about to be together in the marital embrace for the first time but the show doesnt (imo) go over the line #it still says hey. this is secret. it's beautiful but it's not yours to see. we're not going to do tricks with a camera to show you #everything but the actual nudity. you're going to have to be okay with that #and i AM. im SO okay with that. im THRILLED to have the chance to enjoy the romance without feeling gross about where it goes #and when they come back! from their honeymoon!!!! both of their friends are happy for them and theyve definitely ~had a nice time~#but it doesnt get gross. it doesnt make it trivial. theyre still so dignified about it #it's just so refreshing. especially since the main character (a woman in her thirties!) is explicitly stated to have waited for marriage #i cant tell you the impact that had on tiny me #well i guess if youve ever read any of my romance you can lolololol
