I am the trigger point...

What I am writing now is new and fresh to me as it is to my characters. I have only just invented this style of writing, for it is my role in life to fulfill this dream, for all who came before, and all who will come after.

I call myself dream artist, agent of transformation, and creative storyteller. I am writing a game in a medium noone yet has cracked.

I am someone worth knowing, worth paying attention to. Because my story is now written so deeply into the fabric of my being, all of my past and future and present selves, that nothing can change it, divert it or knock it off-course. It will flow like water until it reaches its destination. One little old lady, sitting in a chair in a nursing home with her cat, circa 2094, and her last Reverie* as she slips peacefully away.

*I wrote that story for my HSC English creative writing test. It’s probably been destroyed now, and I will likely never get to read it again, but I remember the essence of it. And since the main characters in my stories are pretty much always me...

It may not always come out in the best words, it may come out muddled and confusing and I may not like it, but it will flow from me now because I have broken down the dam that held my creative force from bursting out. I am here, and ready, and fiercely excited to face a destiny bigger than anything I dared dream. And that’s saying something, since I’ve always dreamt pretty big.

I’ve been wondering for a while now how to best bring out this story, and I think I’m finding the right avenues. This is my year, my time to shine. And I am ready to face all that it throws at me. I have no idea how I’ll take it yet, but I’ll just keep putting my best foot forward, and as long as I take care of myself, that should be enough.

In the next 4 and a bit months;

-I will challenge everything I have built into my new, stronger and improved core. I will test my own limits, and hopefully exceed expectations.

-My characters will write themselves into this world, with a little help from me, and hopefully sponsorship from somewhere outside of me as well so I can assure my survival.

-I’ll build the inner world of Nys myself as I learn game design this Semester at TAFE.

-I’ll start building Lily as a sentient replica/tulpa in the digital world, which I’m almost certain will be far more complicated and tricky than I imagine it to be, but just as rewarding.
