Summary: A simple night with some good food and better music.

“Baby, is that the takeout for tonight?”

“Yes ma’am. I’ve got the goods. It’s gonna cost you though.”

Wade rounded the corner and set the bags down on the counter, before spinning his girlfriend around by the hips. They had the apartment all to themselves that evening, thanks to Logan taking Blind Al to his apartment for the night. And the couple was going to make the most of it.

“What’s it going to cost me, Mr. Pool?” She teased, wrapping her arms around his neck. They began to sway gently to invisible music that only drifted in their touch.

“I think a kiss to start,” came his request. Looking to be deep in thought about it, he took it upon himself to surge forward and press his lips against hers. Both of them began to sink into the embrace that took over their bodies. However, the microwave beeped and brought them back into the world.

“Move, mister. Gotta get the popcorn out.” As she did, her boyfriend let out a loud gasp as she dumped the contents of the bag into a bowl.

“Is that the limited edition salt and vinegar popcorn? And are you going to put the caramel on the side so we can enjoy that as a post dinner snack with the movie?” He rattled off, clapping his hands together while watching like a parrot over her shoulder.

“Yes it is. And it will be perfectly cooled down for your preference by the time we’re done eating.” She moved on from the popcorn, and grabbed some forks and spoons for the takeout.

The couple moved to the table in the dining room, and began their meal. A usual takeout night was pizza or wings, but tonight was special. Wade had gotten the favorite pasta from that Italian joint down the road that they always went to. Light conversation flowed through the air as they continued to eat. Even with all of his wrinkly, dimpled, bold headedness, she still loved to look at him. It had been a challenging few years, but they made it work.

“You know what this needs?” Wade suddenly stood, and went over to the boom box that was tucked away into the corner of the room.

“No, no, Wade. Please don’t,” her begging did nothing but encourage him. He stuck a tape in and turned dramatically.

“Oh, yes baby, come on.” His hands grabbed hers, and placed them on top of his shoulders, while his went to her waist. The music flowed through the apartment, and wrapped around them as they not quite danced, but rather swayed together.

“Is that Wham?”

“Gotta say it right. It’s ’WHAM!’,” Wade dropped his voice to a near whisper, “the album gave them their exclamation point.”

“Whatever you say, honey.” She stood on her toes, and pressed a kiss to his lips. It was certainly different than kissing someone without a mutation like his. But there was no one else in the world she would rather kiss. The rough outline of his lips, that were constantly slathered in chapstick to make it more pleasing for her, molded so perfectly with hers. Firm muscles under her hands, and dimpled skin underneath the tips of her fingers. He was the first one to pull away as the song trailed off.

“Movie time?” His voice was excited at the prospect of continuing their night.

“Are you saying that because you want to spend time with me in a horizontal position, or because you want the popcorn?” She teased.

“Oh I always love spending time with you horizontally. But I actually really want to watch the film.” Wade’s flirting was nothing new for her. In fact, it was a welcome part of her day and dialogue with him. She could automatically tell if something was wrong depending on if he did not make an innuendo or adult joke to her.

“Whatever you say big man. I’m bringing my spaghetti though. That stuff is so good.”

They grabbed their respect foods, and made their way to the couch. Plopping down, she watched as her lover set up the film on their brand new blu-ray player that was a gift from the TVA. Wade could have asked for anything, but he was a simple man at heart. He just wanted to be able to watch Golden Girls in perfect imaging for years to come. However, a new film filled the slot as the man made his way to the couch to sit next to his girlfriend.

“Really,” came her deadpan delivery; complete with expression to match.

“Don’t knock it till you try it.” However, whether Wade was saying that about his popcorn that was now being dipped in caramel or the movie he had selected, she was not sure.

“It’s a ‘My Little Pony’ film.” All the different characters made themselves right at home on the screen before them while he turned to face her.

“Okay, Grouchy Bear. Just watch it, will you? They really teach you a lot about magic, friendship, and how to recognize red flags in the people in your life.” Wade went on to defend, but she dropped her face into her hands. She laughed lightly while peaking at him through her fingers.

“Alright. Just hit play.”

At her defeat, Wilson happily followed the order and tucked himself in. She put her food to the side after a couple more bites because she would much rather be doing things other than eating. While the food found a place on their coffee table, she found her spot tucked underneath her boyfriend’s arm so that she was snuggled into his side.

“It is a pretty good movie so far.” She whispered, not too sure if he had heard what she said.

“I know.” Wade responded, pressing a kiss to her hair. This was right where the both of them wanted to be. Just them two alone for some quality time. And paying absolutely no attention to the fact that Logan was yelling at Blind Al downstairs for offering to do cocaine with Laura.

Lacking Data

Collecting data and seeking insight in everything significant to his work, has always been Sherlock’s highest priority. And he’s been quite successful in his endeavours too. But when it came to personal matters regarding himself and romanticism, he declared defeat. Which he didn’t bother to linger on. Until one day, when he met a man, most people thought of as ordinary, even boring.

Sherlock encountered Mike Stamford one of the last days of January. When Mike asked how he’d been, Sherlock told him he was searching for someone.

“Dead or alive?” Mike asked with a grin.

Sherlock rolled his eyes exasperated.

“I could use a flatmate. Preferably a living one,” he retorted dryly. “But…”

He trailed off, and Mike prompted him to complete the sentence.

“As you know, I’m no easy man to be around. I can’t think of anyone wanting to share quarters with me.”

“Oh, don’t say that, Sherlock. I’m sure there’s someone out there that match your criteria,” the doctor assured him.

Sherlock just scoffed and turned back to the microscope.

The experiment proved to be fruitless, so he sent Molly to get him coffee. When the door opened, far too soon for it to be her, Sherlock startled. He was not prepared to see Mike again, but what made the detective almost lose it, was the man Mike brought with him.

Ex-military. Doctor. Psychosomatic limp. Deployed somewhere warm.

Slowly, Sherlock approached Mike’s old friend from medical school, John Watson.

His face was open, trusting. He didn’t hesitate when Sherlock said he needed a phone, which he really didn’t.

“Here. Take mine.”

“Afghanistan or Iraq?”

Sherlock didn’t need to seek insight. All of it was clear as day to him. Served on a silver plate. The phone told him the rest of the story. 

Granted, he’d been wrong about Harry, which John told him about the day after.

“There’s always something,” Sherlock muttered under his breath.

John just looked puzzled, but mostly awestruck. Not one word of mockery, distaste, or anger. Just: Amazing. Extraordinary. Brilliant.

When Sherlock told him what people normally said when he deduced them to shreds, John frowned and clenched his fist, the one not holding his cane.

It seemed like he was ready to punch the people who told Sherlock to piss off.

“Where have you been all my life?” he wanted to ask the remarkable man, but Sherlock was too afraid, so he stayed aloof, playing the sociopath he claimed to be.

Despite Angelo’s rather boisterous appearance, Sherlock always felt a calmness fall over him when he was around the man. He wanted to show John off to his Italian friend, and simultaneously letting John see a different side of Sherlock. It was a risk to let his guard down, but if his calculations were correct, the outcome would be glorious.

So, instead of biting John’s head off when he subtlety asked about Sherlock’s romantic preferences, he answered truthfully.

“Yes, John. I am unattached. Just like you.”

Sherlock couldn’t take his eyes off John’s tongue. It wet his lips continuously during the meal, and Sherlock wanted to taste it. The lack of data of how it would feel to kiss John and to be invaded by that rosy piece of flesh, almost drove the great detective mad.

The chase through the city had never been so intoxicating and thrilling. John was right behind him, his cane safely taken care of by Angelo.

“Welcome to London.”

The American passenger in the taxi couldn’t believe the politeness of the British police, and Sherlock felt dizzy just listening to John’s incredulous laughter at the insane encounter.

They were breathless and giddy when they locked the black door of 221 Baker Street behind them.

“That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever done!”

“And you invaded Afghanistan.”

A knock on the door. Sherlock gestured for John to open.

“It’s for you.”

John’s astounded look when he returned with his cane, brought by Angelo, made Sherlock’s stomach do a somersault.

“How?” John said and shook his head in disbelief.

He leant the cane on the wall and approached Sherlock carefully. When he stood toe-to-toe with him, John took a hold of Sherlock’s upper arms.

“You,” he said softly. “Do you even know what you’ve done to me, for me? How am I ever going to repay you, thanking you for letting the sun into my life again? For making me want to live.”

Sherlock just stared down at John, unable to grasp what he meant. He’d done nothing out of the ordinary. Well, to be fair, the idea of visiting Angelo’s had been a whim. Not at all planned beforehand. He was a bit perplexed that something impulsive could make such an impact. 

When Sherlock asked about that, after their fifteenth kiss, John told him he was wrong.

“It wasn’t dinner, Sherlock. I’ve been in that situation lots of times. It was the chase that made me feel alive and useful. Not that dinner wasn’t lovely, because it absolutely was, but it seems that running after you is one of those things I’m suddenly addicted to. Just as that sinful mouth of yours.”

And with that, their sixteenth kiss was a fact.

Hey guys, I see new fans having confusion on characters' races in the books(mostly by old fanarts I guess), at least what I see in twt and some on tiktok. So here it is:

Percy's race was never confirmed in the books, but he is white on his official fanart. But we as fandom, had so many hcs for him for years. The most popular one was being him Brazilian. (I support this lmao)

Hazel is black.

Frank is Asian, he is Chinese decent.

Leo is latino.

Annabeth is white. Now I see most of new fans confused by "deep tan". Guys, deep tan doesnt mean dark skin. White people can get deep tan. Her race is confirmed by Rick and other canon books and book covers. Annabeth is Swedish decent, it is confirmed in Magnus Chase.

Jason is white.

Piper is native. I see new fans confuse her with being white by some old fanarts but she is not :)

I saw someone asking is Will is British. It is not confirmed, but can be used as hc lmao

AN: Like all of you I hated the last 18 minutes of the episode we unfortunately know too well. It’s why I decided to fix it right here and now with this short chapter. In my mind his injuries weren’t that serious and he made it out of his first surgery and didn’t need a second one. Like and reblog below and let me know what you think.

Summary: Amber visits Andrew in his room after his surgery and confesses her feelings for him and wanting them to get back together.

Amber waits out in the hall of the ICU clasping her hands together anxious about entering Andrew DeLuca’s room. Carina is inside first as the rooms are limited to one visit at a time and Amber gives Carina that chance first knowing how much she loves her brother. Amber goes through what to say to him in her head and wonders where to start this conversation.

Amber hears the doors slide open and she sees Carina exiting the room with tears in her eyes. The Italian OB walks toward Amber with kindness in her eyes.

“You can go in now, try not to jostle him too much, the tube is still in his throat.”

Amber nods leaving Carina out in the hall while she takes her turn. She can see Andrew through the window and the sight breaks her heart. He is laying in bed obviously tired, wearing a hospital gown with an ETT tube down his throat. Seeing him like this has her scared that one wrong move in there will make Altman and Hunt’s work vanish and she will lose him.

But she reminds herself that isn’t the case and it’s her anxiety trying to take control of the joy she feels from this miracle and pushes through it. Amber inhales before sliding the door open and quickly closing it behind her.

Andrew opens his eyes and his shock is evident from his groggy eyes widening slightly at seeing Amber in the room. He wonders if this is a dream of his but her voice tells him it’s not as he knows the timber of her vocals too well.

“Hi don’t try to talk.” Amber sits at the edge of the bed next to his leg and he can see her eyes glistening with tears that makes him want to wipe them away but he feels too weak to move his arms up, “I’m just…I’m just so happy you’re okay.”

Amber carefully moves around the tube so she can lie down by Andrew’s side. She has her head against his chest listening to his heart beating against it so she can be sure he’s alive and well. She is careful not to touch the tube as her hand clings to his left shoulder with her delicate nails pressing lightly afraid he will slip through her fingers.

He welcomes the hug and being near her enough to recognize the fragrant fruity body mist she wears at work. Although his body feels sluggish, he is strong enough to lift his left hand and hold her forearm that is draped across his chest.

He lightly squeezes her to make certain she is real and when he does he closes his eyes and enjoys this moment after his surgery. He hears her sniffling and feels drops of wetness on his chest that he deduces are from Amber who has her head against his chest. They hold each other like this for several moments as this moment feels long overdue for both of them. The silence is broken by Amber as she is the only one in the room who can speak for both of them.

“You are the most heroic…idiotic, brave and stupid son of a bitch I have ever met.” DeLuca isn’t offended as he knows it’s coming from Amber being worried sick over him during his surgery, “And you’ve met my brothers, so you know the bar is really high on that category.”

If the tube wasn’t down his throat DeLuca would laugh at another insult towards her aggravating brothers, “This doesn’t mean I forgive you. You were right that day, but you were wrong to treat me the way you did when all I was trying to do was help like I tried to help my mom and brother. You said things and did things that I thought were the worst thing that could ever happen to me.”

Andrew lies still under her feeling useless as he can’t speak another apology due to his condition. However, he tries to remedy this by lightly stroking her arm with his thumb that she welcomes and continues to speak with Andrew hoping this takes a better turn.

“But I was wrong.” Andrew feels relief at this, “The worst thing that happened to me was when I thought you were dead and… you died thinking I hated you.”

Amber’s voice breaks at that last one causing Andrew anguish for putting her through the wringer once again. He doesn’t regret following Opal but he regrets not listening to Carina and getting stabbed in the process. He regrets getting himself hurt and worrying the people who love him, the people he loves so much it would hurt him to see them vanish into the operating room as well.

“I thought I did you know, I thought I hated you, but I don’t. I could never hate you; I can be mad at you, and I can scream at the skies because of you but I can never hate you. I don’t think a part of me is capable of letting go of the love I feel for you. It’s like…it’s like it’s always gonna be a part of me.” Andrew squeezes Amber’s forearm as a silent ‘I feel the same’ and he feels her squeezing his shoulder as well sharing the same sentiment.

“It’s why I’ve been such a mess these past 4 hours and 36 minutes. I was afraid the last thing I did to you was walk away after you promised me that things would be different if I gave us another chance. I walked because I needed to think and to know how I feel.” Andrew strokes her arm in comfort understanding where she’s coming from due to her traumatic childhood, “I needed to know if I can try this again…and I can.”

Andrew closes his eyes feeling his heart flutter at this confession that he has been yearning to hear for weeks. He wishes he could kiss her at this moment but holding her and hearing her talk is a close second that he will gladly take as long as it has the woman, he loves by his side again.

Amber sniffles against his chest and feels a stray tear escape and slide down to his hospital gown. She still clings to him understanding now just how precious life is and how you should cherish every good thing in your life while you still can. Amber does this by opening her heart little by little towards the man who made her feel safe to be vulnerable once and hopes he can do it again.

“I don’t know what happens now and it scares me. But what scares me more is living in a world where you’re not around. It’s a world I don’t want to live in. I can’t live in that reality it’s a fact.” Andrew inhales deeply wanting so bad to say something anything at this moment, “So don’t make me got it? Blink once for yes, twice for no and three for I’ll make smart decisions from now on.”

Amber glances up and sees Andrew blink once at her request that is good enough for her. She lays her head back on his chest laying still so as not to jostle the tube. Andrew has his hand on her arm still holding onto her for as long as he can, not wanting to waste this opportunity like he did months ago. They close their eyes and hold each other content and hoping this moment is a road to a happy ending.

Important OOC stuff -

Hi! Updates might be pretty inconsistent or sporadic as my obsession w/ Ossy, though never dead, has significantly diminished recently, as has my overall drive for storytelling. On top of this, Late December to early January are extremely busy for me due to school, the holidays, and personal stuff that I don’t feel like getting into. If anyone wants life updates or to just see whatever else I’m doing in my other fandoms my shitpost account is @snakes-of-the-undercity (where I’m the most active).

Additionally Ossyverse folks and mun may be going through a bit of a shift in content and style as, while I and Ollie (& Jess) just vibe with shit posting and causing chaos, we all have outside commitments that make it hard to balance everything and we want to explore a new side to Ossy and Caz, as well as leave room for some new characters to show up and potentially start a blog dedicated to my bastard mind creatures with actual plot and such.

Lastly, the current stuff I’ve been putting out, even for the past few months, certainly hasn’t been the quality I want it to be. Though I 100% believe that you should do stuff just because it’s fun and the quality doesn’t matter in most cases, the poor quality and odd characterization of Ossy hasn’t been what I want to put out, nor has it been much fun trying to come up with stuff for them when I don’t actually have a plan for this guy. Sweet V. Zeppeli is just a fun name I thought was cute, I like Gyro Zeppeli and think he’s super hot but I don’t really seriously self-ship with characters. Sweet is the name of a band, and the V. stands for “Victoria” the Roman goddess of victory, a play on how Gyro only lets the “Goddess of victory” ride on his horse. And then Sweet Zeppeli is also a play on Sweet Zeppolis: the Italian donuts. Just felt proud of the name, so I wanted to explain it haha~ (and I think Sweet V. Zeppeli rolls off the tongue lol)

I like to think I’m super friendly and social, so I welcome conversation~whether simping or character analysis or just talking about what you like, I’m down for whatever~
