This is gonna be my fandom sideblog where I literally will just post art of fandom ocs and absolutely ramble about them(Them being my ocs, and whatever fandom I'm hyperfixating on at the time) Although not all fandoms I like I have ocs for and don't plan on making any for.

This is also HEAVILY a canon x oc(Oc NOT personas/self-inserts!!) so if you don't like that, that's fine! Just block me and move on, no big deal! Also I do kind of change some of the settings to fit my oc's in, but it's nothing extreme I don't think. Kimi ni Todoke (I'm SO excited for season 3! One of the first animes I have ever watched!! Would recommend if you're looking for a cutesy romance story, although it's still filled with drama. I have no oc's for this story. FC: All of em honestly)

Ouran high school host club (Another one of my first animes, I hold this anime very near to my heart. I know I DID have oc's for this story, but not anymore. I don't think I'll be making any oc's for this story, at least not any time soon. FC: Mori, the twins, Haruhi)

Fruits Basket (Another one of my first anime's LOL! I watched the 2001 version and haven't gotten around to the newer version, though I would like to watch it eventually. I don't have ocs for this story and I'm not planning on making any. FC: Kyo, Momiji)

Blue Lock (I started reading the manga like peak Quarantine, I would be reading this during virtual learning. When the anime came out I watched it with my sister since she used to play soccer, though we never finished sadly, so now I'm rewatching it again on my own. I do have oc's for Blue Lock. Blue Period (I never finished this one, I really need to! I still have oc's for it though. It was recommended to me by my sister who watched it, and I was drawn in because it's an art anime so ofc I would be interested. FC: Haruka)

Tokyo Revengers (I believe I'm still on season 2, like one of the last episodes of season 2, like seriously just finish it already, Star. Anyways I had binged the first season and moved to the manga to finish what was out at the time and I kept up with updates as they came out. Still can't believe season 3 is out, feels like just last week I was watching the first season and being obsessed. Trigun Stampede (Another anime I never finished, you'll see a lot of these LMAO! I was really drawn by the art style and animation, I believe an edit pushed me to watch it. Osomatsu-san (I remember trying to get into it in middle school due to edits and fanart I had seen, I have some old OLD art of those ocs still. Nanbaka (I never finished Nanbaka either... I vibe so hard to the opening though, it goes hard. The character designs really caught my attention cause they were just so out there, like I was pretty used to more tame designs but then here Nanbaka is using these vibrant color combos and some interesting hairstyles and catching my eyes. I also have ocs for Nanbaka! I did start watching it again since it had been like 3 years since I watched it. FC: Nico, Kenshirou, Upa, Seitarou)

One Piece (Mmmmm One pee. Yeup. I told myself I would never watch it, mainly because of the cough cough 1000+ episodes and well considering how I struggle to finish animes, knew that the day I finished this anime would be the day hell freezes over. Anyways tell me why like 2 years ago I tried watching it and only made to episode 5 and then I pick it up earlier this year(2023) and make to episode 185 in like a month or two?? What happened to me?? The chokehold this series had on my brain is insane. I definitely have my own issues with it, such as the sexualization of the women and with that the proportions, but honestly I still really like this anime. I also have ocs for one piece, they might honestly be the first ones I show, but its not all of them, just the ones I have references for. Madoka Magica (I had wanted to watch Madoka Magica for a while but could never find motivation, even now I'm only on episode 2. I do really like what I've seen so far and I'm excited to get to the more messed up parts! FC: Madoka, Sayaka)

Snow White with the Red Hair (It's been like several years and I'm still on the first season. I made it to the final episode of the first season before getting bored and then I came back aware of a season 2 and wanted to watch it so I wanted to finish the first season but then wanted to rewatch the first season to remember what happened but I'm still not at season 2 yet because I haven't continued watching it in months. Full Metal Alchemist (I've only ever heard good things about Full Metal Alchemist and so I've wanted to watch it for years, but I never got around to it. I still do want to watch it, but I'm not sure when. I also don't know if I'll ever make ocs for this show either?? FC: unsure as of now)

Haikyuu (I think I'm still on season 3/4 I can't remember which one. I did start rewatching it again, I made it to episode 15 so yay, I need to watch more. I started watching in middle school, got bored and took a break and then went back to it in high school, and now I'm watching it again. I do have oc's for Haikyuu! My Hero Academia (Thank goodness I wasn't there for the peak worst part of mha. I mean I had watched a bit of mha in middle school, but I never really got into it. I do love the style and the characters though, and I really like what I've heard about with the story and stuff, I'm excited to catch up. I'm currently on the 3rd season and I do have oc's for mha! Attack on Titan (This anime has a special place in my heart and honestly I was debating ever continuing it. I watched it way back when it only had 1 season with my mother and my sister and we were patiently waiting for season 2, however my mom passed away like a year before season 2 so my sister and I never watched anymore since we always considered that to be an us three kind of thing, it just didn't feel right to watch it without mom. But now that I'm older and it's over, I want to watch it again. If ghosts exist, then maybe my mothers ghost can watch it with my sister and I! I don't have any oc's yet, but I do want to make some. Blue Exorcist (Something similar to aot happened to blue exorcist as well. It was an anime that mom and I watched together. I believe one season was out at the time as well. I never watched the ova or season 2, mainly cause I didn't know they had been released, but when I found out I held back since that was like mom and I's thing, but once again, I wanna try watching it again. The Apothecary Diaries (I love shoujo anime so this is a must watch. I also really enjoy the main character like a lot! Like she kind of slays, she a baddie. Act-age (Honestly, I haven't started reading this at all. I just saw this one dude from the manga on my Pinterest and went "I like the style and this character, where he from." Pumpkin Night (Okay the website I was using to read this manga had a horrible translator and that kinds threw me off, but pushing that aside, I really REALLY like this manga. The style is really clean and pretty, and I love Naoko's design. I believe I saw an edit of her years ago in early middle school and wanted to read it since and got around to it in early high school. It's really gory, so if you don't like that, would recommend you avoid it. uhm and depending on which website you're using, you may have really horrible translations, I don't mean like bad grammar or anything like that, that would be absolutely fine, I'm talking about the translator being a shitty person. Yona of the Dawn (Kimi no Todoke gave me newfound hope that Yona of the Dawn will get another season despite all this time, I am clinging on to threads honestly. Like I still see the manga getting updates so there's plenty of content to make a season 2 and once again its in high demand from those who watched/read YotD. Beastars (I haven't watched the anime or read the manga but I want to! I've heard so many people talk trash about this anime before giving it a chance since it's "furries" but then like when they do watch it or for those who watched it without judging it, only say good things. I do know some spoilers, like I'd say I know like the basics. But I love the animation and art style and the story seems really interesting! I know I'll have to read the manga since no more seasons will be coming out sadly, but also because of the side stories. I don't know if I'll ever make oc's for Beastars. FC: Unsure as of now)

Chainsaw Man (I remember my sister reading the manga and then us finding out that there was gonna be an anime adaptation, so I held off on the reading. My Little Pony (I remember skipping school in 4th grade to binge the seasons that were out on netflix. I used to have a whole bunch of mlp toys as well. I loved mlp so much when I was younger! I did want to rewatch it again recently, sometimes it's just really nice to go back and watch shows you loved as a kid, even if you cringe at how obsessed younger you was with the show(Pretty sure I tried doing a fluttershy cosplay with what I already had when I was younger.) I have a ton of mlp ocs, that I made on pony town since I really struggle with drawing ponies, but I think I'm getting better! FC: Fluttershy, Pinkiepie, Princess Luna)

South Park (I had wanted to watch south park for a long time but just never had anywhere to watch it until recently! That said I obviously haven't made it far lol. Think I'm only of season 3 or something. Obviously the show has horrible humor and touches on bad topics in a poor manner so avoid this if you're sensitive to that stuff, not that there's anything wrong with that of course! I do have oc's for this show and I'm working on my own sort of au I guess. The south parkies will NOT like me I guarantee. Ninjago (I remember this show airing when I was around 9-10, somewhere around that age group, and I wasn't super interested, think I watched like an episode or two. Lego Monkie Kid (I've rewatched this series 3 times within the past 2 months, so if that's any indicator on how good this show is and how much I love it, there's your sign to watch it. I got my bestie to watch it as well and now we're both hyperfixated. It's great and the seasons and episodes are both short so it's a really easy show to binge. I love the characters and the story. Arcane (I was shocked when I found out this was a League of Legends show, it also kind of dissuaded me from watching it, but I'm so glad I did! This show is so well done! I've named plants after the characters, I have a little solar light-up polar bear named "Claggor", I named my cat "Ecko", and not that this was intentional, but when my sister and I first watched it my hair was dyed blue and hers was dyed pink. Needless to say, I love Jinx and I've never related to a character as much as I do with her. I'm so excited for season 2. I won't be making oc's for this show though. FC: Jinx, Ekko, Victor)

Bluey (I love this show so much! A huge comfort. I understand that some might be drawn away by the fact it's like a children's show, but it was really comforting to me. Like it was nice to see a good family, not perfect of course, a good and healthy family. And some parts reminded me of me and my sister. And the show isn't just like some normal kids show where the characters are asking you where an apple is when its right in front of them, no this show actually feels like it's teaching me something. Like this is something that I would show my kids and be able to watch this with them. I won't be making oc's for Bluey. FC: Bingo)

AMONGUS (Among us was really fun to play with friends, it sucks that I'm so bad at it though. It's also so easy to tell when I'm imposter cause I just target one of my best friends, she does the same to me, it's great. I do have among us ocs! I even made a little story around them!)

Witches Heart (I finished watching manlybadasshero play the main game but I don't think I ever finished the bonus stories. Genshin Impact (Oof. This one is difficult to talk about. I hardly play this game anymore, I think the last time I played it was when Sumeru came out because I wanted to explore the region. Everything was really fun in the beginning and then it got exhausting and I have issues with the creators, especially with the release of Sumeru characters. I still do have ocs and I think about them from time to time, they're still early in development as well, I want them to be detailed like the in-game characters. I feel I have more bad things to say about this game rather than good things, but it doesn't stop this game from being an important part in my life. Honkai Star Rail (I really don't play this game much but I kept up with it during development and excitedly waited for its release date. Danganronpa (Middle school was wild. I was into Danganronpa before it reached it's peak in 2020-2021, I was into it in like 2017-2018 and then kind of got back into it in 2020, but mainly with my own ocs and fangame ideas. I just remember the fanbase being so toxic in 2020 and even now some of the fans are not so good(Which is obvious, every fandom has it's bad apples.) I also have issues with the game, such as the sexualization of the teens and even younger in ultra despair girls. I got into these stories in middle school so it's been awhile and I didn't realize that the creator wasn't a good person. WATGBS is really nostalgic and has a special place in my heart. What in Hell is bad (oh gosh, this game is well its a game alright. It's really funny to me, like I cant take it seriously. Mainly because of the gacha animation, but also it's just funny. Anyways, I definitely have issue's with this game, like some of the philia's are problematic(like Necrophilia, I don't remember all of them but I think that's the worst of them) and also due to circumstances in the game, noncon in common in the game which is yikes. I see, but imo 3H isn’t a game i would compare Engage with cause 3H is kind of a unique game : it’s FE x Personna, but it fails the Personna phase cause the VN phases are just horrible, and as much as Hopsies get critized, it doesn’t change the fact that Shez was a better self insert because they already were shown to have a personaily, whereas with Byleth they wanted both that the player could create Byleth’s personailty depending on which answer they choosed + them to have an actual background which clearly did not worked at all. With Shez, you could choose 2 very different cue, yet the voice acting + pacing made it clear that they had a personailty whereas Byleth could choose two drastically different cue, making your Byleth a sort of chimera of a character, a monster of inconsitent choices...anyway, not to disgress but seeing how Homies have 4 story compared to Engage who only has 1, comparing them feels wrong, cause it’s like comparing the Sonic several POV story game to the few games that have a unique POV story, not to mentions that the tone isn’t the same. Engage is lighthearted and don’t dive too much into darkness and seriousness whereas Homies tries to go hard into dark, seriousness, politics and yadi, yada

Had I to compare Engage to others games, I would have choosen the first FE Warrior cause it was too 1) a new kind of concept game 2) crossover/multiverse and compared to it (because I was expecting Engage to be like it), i must say Engage was a pleasant surprise. I 100% understand why ppl can’t like it, it’s very generic and we all agree that the story was weak but it’s goofyness and chessiness came right away to heal my depression and overall, seeing how it’s targeting a younger audience and appealing to more player, yes, the fact that it’s that simple of a story is most welcoming compared to Homies cause it was such a complex story as it strived to be ...that it lowered its quality in the sense that you have trouble understanding what happened and that’s coming from someone who enjoyed Evilious Chrnonicles and even that is incredibly complex but because it’s linear, it’s easy to actually understand what happened if you don’t lose the track of what happened whereas for 3H.. well, since it’s different routes, there are things that canonically DID NOT HAPPEN so it’s multiverse all again making it even more confusing because this means everything happened and at the same time not, and Fates, despite it’s flaws, was waaaay easier to understand and Engage’s story is actually easier to grow on you than 3H cause when you replay it, a simple story is more agreeable then the routes, especially when the monastery phase and VN phase are sooo BORING!! And once you completed all routes, why would you replay again ? especially when the gameplay is nothing exciting and that the calender system doesn’t allow you any replayable DLC pack ? Engage has weak replay value too, but it still has some enough with it’s gameplay being perfect when you’re bored and want a fun little challenge now if they had put a DLC pack like Awakenin’s cause Awakenin’s DLC pack was peak DLC, everyone would to it but the Fell Xenologue is all there is to it and it’s essentially hell so why would you go through this suffering again, you would really want to replay THIS ?

This map still comes at night haunt my nightmares, God. But again, people might prefer 3H's story and other Engage due to nothing but preferences, though overall Engage simple writing doesn't create the same level of plot inconsitency as any of the previous games, like all the twist don't ruin at least from the main story, but somehow people prefer the Xenologue's story which is really bad ima be honest, like it starts good and they showed that with a smaller cast they can actually put all characters into the story to flesh them out but it completely crumbles down like a card castle. Engage may seems weaker then 3H, but it's at least more solid then the 3ds game; i did remember a poll showing Engage beat the 2 games, and that's what dev were striving for since they said they wanted Engage to be a Awakening 2, not a 3H2 unlike what 3H babies hoped, and while I can't blame them especially if 3H was their first game knowing that Fates was the actual Awakening 2, 3H is, I repeat, a unique game, first time ever FE went that way, so really there was no chance they would repeat that formula.

It's not really like the Fates wank though cause it was more "ma route is da besto!" even though both can came off as boring in terms of plot and both as their flaw in terms of playthough cause Conquest still has the main problem of not allowing any bonus fight asides from the one offered by the DLC, which makes it harder to unlock the children units and in Lunatics, harder to have stockage unit compared to Birthright when you can actually unlock all ressources. As for the plot well... Conquest was good on paper but it had the curse to cross path with Revelation's plot since it introduces Anankos and Valla making the whole thing seems shallow, not counting what the Trio did put what reaaaaally ruined the plot was ... localized Xander. WHY TREEHOUSE WHY ??? <Why did they made him such a rebel when the jpn version wanted him to be a kind of delusional guy ??? This makes everthing, like Corrin not telling him about Fake Garon becomes nonsense since by the way Treehouse changed Xander he should have believed Kamui !! Nay, a wank more similar would be how back then fans were fighting over 3H's golden route, or true route (because they never played VN i assume) and it had only the merit of each supporter of their own beloved route to actually points out all holes and plot inconsistency in each route and while some are bad faith, or makes one reconsider "3H is an amazing story" but all routes have somewhat disapointing ending, CF and SF in particular, poor Eddie, all her route's ending are so bad....

Plus I keep seeing ppl reblogging and sharing localization change for Homies so I don't want to fall into the Fates trap of thinking Treehouses may be "innocent" in some plot holes or inconsistencies cause;.. The Awakening localization team did fixed holes, like that Chrom!Morgan hates bugs, not making sense with regular Morgan liking bugs, and turned it into a coarch to link with his support with Noire, or trying to fix, (without success) the Robin!Owain hole, but Treehouse sometimes makes me think they don't pay attention to the whole context and seeing what they did to Alear' S support... yeah they really never paid attention to context did they ? not that it's the only problem, they did censore Goldmary saying she ate too much or Timerra talking about her skirt, so would only half surprise me if some holes in 3H weren't due to Treehouse messing up again but even there would'nt change how Engage's story is more agreeable to make post about.

Like if I had motivation, I would have picked on the loca changes for 3H but do i really want to go through all the 4th route to check on that ? Whereas Engage ? I can just replay it once in jpn dub and call it a day

it kinda sucks cause it's always family bound or character that cares about family that ends up being dragged into this... like when they poke jokes at Prisicilla but I never saw anything "perverted" in her love for Raven at the risk of comming off as dense, just a sister happy that she is reunited with her brother, same for the Renais twins, what's so romantic about patting your sister's head ? And the wank for Rhea sucked too, cause Rhea was shown to deeply care about her family (even though they aren't related) and she isn't the kind of person who would break that taboo, she doesn't even view Byleth as family herself (but at the same time she never saw Byleth as Byleth, but more as the envelopp containing her dead mother's spirit) and now it's exploding in a game who'se main theme is family and about Alear, a character that values a lot family bound. And they have to deal with 2 shits : people trying to prove their relationship with the twins despite the game itself not caring and that no matter what and on the other hand, people trying to ruin the Veyle' S support by trying to prouve that it was romantic so either they hate on Treehouse or praise them... for literaly just removing a word?? IDK who on earth read the JPN version of Veyle's Support and though there was romance in it cause they really need glasses, and it suck even more cause this support was very good and was taking place between 2 character who tried to be siblings after having such a tragic story and that makes the Nel wank worse cause they also use her support with Veyle to aliment their argument that no human being should give the ring to her, even though this support was about 2 individuals's developpement and accepting to be friends/family and Veyle helping Nel's trust issue, so really this wank sucks even more then for others game. Now you can argue that Fates did messed up cause it looks occ of Corrin to date any of the Royals but seeing how the Fates manga tried to push F!Corrin with Leo... yes, and the difference i would say is that unlike for the Royals, neither did 3H and Engage tried to lead you into saying the characters into family cause the plot don't care unlike for Fates where, except for the Nohrian royals, you had to explain why Hoshidan aren't Corrin's half siblings, but step family only and it was not even out of nowhere because of Anankos shenanigans....but for Engage, it really sucks since it's really all about family and there it's about proving blood relationship, so actual losecest which... Engage is the worst game you could have choosen for that, realy any other but the one about family in particular, the "adopted sibling still is losecest" is more tolerable cause Fates kind of deserves it though Corrin isn't really an adopted sibling;.. i mean, if kidnapped is adoption that is...and even then, people would still be "at least they aren't related in canon" to make it more ok in fiction then if it was whatever thing they tried with Veyle...and in the difference is that people never tried to prouve that Corrin is still related to theirs sibs, whereas here the only ground they have to support thei claim is... by proving relationship btw Rhea/Byleth and Alear/Fell twins and the infamous "but Veyle was romantic in JP" that is so... grrr

And yes, I said Nel wank cause people are only diggin this into her, not Rafal, he has none of this or a few probably cause of husbando biais and cause in his support he sortas says that Alear and him aren't really related so it's fine....but yeah, really sucks that instead of just rolling with it they turn it into a "we don't like it so we are going to make it everyone's problem" like the anti studenleth and that's crazy seeing how it's about literal pixels and that mutliverse doesn't even exist but... well, one moth before the DLC I still had to explain why Veyle isn't romantic in JPN and somehow, the "morally upright" elite called me a liar for saying there is nothing romantic about your sister saying she might jump out of joy if you were to wake her up... and i still do not understand why saying that you can't romance Veyle is a problem, why does this exist ?

Gotta be frank, the more time pass the more i can't stand the "3H had an amazing story whereas Engage is a failure" refrain because 3H is not a game I would compare Engage to, just doesn't make sense as they were not made with the same mindset, but it's just another day of thinking that Fodlan's duology is really overrated for what it actually is *sight* : 3

i think its to be expected that the refrain pops up, and to an extent i understand why its used because its one of those things that technically true but easily abusable. Which is to say well engage has some real good story aspects to it, its story is also its weaker half. Meanwhile its gameplay kicks so much ass especially compared to three houses that from what i've seen its difficult to criticize engage from that angle, so if your looking for a way to 'attack' it as some are oft to do you kinda get coralled into attacking the easier part to attack of it.

just look at fates for a case precedence, birthrights gameplay and conquests story are generally [considered] the weaker halfs of their designs [personally i feel conquest beats birthright on both counts] so those are the most oft criticized aspects of fates.

the main difference in engages case when compared to three houses aspect though... is that engage also beats out three houses on a story angle in all the categories that count. so its an inherently unfavourable comparison.

Ace of Clubs - Sean Renard - Masterlist (Ongoing)

Masterlist for my upcoming fanfiction series, Ace of Clubs. A Sean Renard x Self Insert OC.

It was inspired by my previous fic. That can be read as a sort of prelude to the series, although some smaller things mentioned (nothing major) don't quite match up. I'm working on fixing it.

Although this is marked as a Sean Renard work, it's definitely more of a character study/just playing around with adding another character into the Grimm universe. It becomes more of an x reader fic a few chapters in. You'll see.

Summary: Artemis is a grimm, and they've never stuck around in one place very long; for good reason. That is until they move to Portland, searching for their murder culprit. They are unwelcome by the half zauberbiest police captain, Sean Renard, which is unsurprising to them. It is also unsurprising when he threatens them, and they think nothing of it. They've never exactly been welcomed somewhere with open arms. It's their life.

But in all seriousness, I’m making this post before anything else as an FYI because I can already smell the comments I might get if this gets any attention at all.

•1st, this is not an x Reader blog and I will not be doing anything with a y/n type character! If that’s what you’re looking for, then you might want to look elsewhere— buut if you stick around anyway thank you and please don’t complain about it!

•2nd, I don’t have any end goal ships! I may joke about this being a self-indulgent Self-Insert x Maven fic, but I promise it is not. Yes, this fic will include OCs, and yes, one of them is a self-insert of sorts. The main purpose of OCs is because in the canon of the book, there is no character or ability that could really help Maven. I made my self-insert before I even thought of this AU, so I’m just using them since their ability works.

•3rd, feel free to send suggestions or requests! I only have a few things in mind at the moment and I’m open to ideas so long as it pertains to the main focus of this AU, Maven getting therapy and being reintegrated into the main cast or maybe just into living. The only things I absolutely will not do are NSFW, reviving characters, or killing off characters [So no, unfortunately no !!surprise!! Thomas is alive and no murdering anyone— as for NSFW, I primarily mean explicit description of that type of tango] I am open to adding other people’s OCs, though I’m not likely to unless it makes sense for them to be added.

•4th, and possibly most important, this is not an apologist blog! Maven, while an interesting character, is still bad as a person! Like, worst of the worst type of bad! This is not “Maven gets therapy because uwu owo he did nothing wrong and everything is Elara’s or Mare’s fault!!” this is Maven gets therapy and help BECAUSE he did do horrible things largely due to his severe mental trauma AND of his own volition. Hell, I don’t plan on most characters even musing the idea of forgiving him for his actions because nobody owes him forgiveness even if he does improve in this fic! So I should break it to y’all now, while I have no final love interest for anyone in mind yet, Mareven will not happen.

•5th, in the same vein as 4th, I will not be diagnosing any of the characters with mental illnesses. Although some of their experiences could be comparable, I am not a trained psychologist and it would not be right of me to risk inaccurately depicting mental illnesses. Additionally, any word of Maven “not being whole” is not to call someone with mental illness “incomplete”— He is literally incomplete due to his mother altering and removing things from his mind. If I catch any of y’all being ableist on my blog it’s on sight.

with all that in mind, the info on updates and asks + an AU summary!

Updates will be as frequent as possible, though that can range from a couple days to weeks depending on how much time I have to write, how clear of a writing idea I have, and how long a chapter is. I will find time to do filler posts whenever I can either with non-canon to the AU content or [after the dynamic is pretty settled] one-shots that take place in between cuts or one-shots of parts of chapters from other perspectives

Cal saw through the facade. Maybe he could’ve just been seeing what he wanted to see, but his brother had to have been acting to some degree. He couldn’t deny himself even the faintest glimmer of hope to have his little brother Mavey back, especially not after receiving word from Davidson about a newblood ability that might just be able to undo a large part of Elara’s work, however it would not be as simple as a whisper making him whoever he could’ve been. The statement that you can’t finish a puzzle with missing pieces holds true; however, if someone had an ability that allows them to accurately understand the pieces of the puzzle to where they could repair, remake, and find the missing pieces, then it may just be possible. What Maven has done and who he is now can’t be undone, but with enough time and work, he can in-fact grow as a person once he is quite literally whole again. The plan, although temporarily cast aside due to broken alliances that were resolved after the battle with the Lakelanders, is for Maven to remain on tuck, guarded in the Colonel’s old bunker as he recovers. Nobody outside of the process is to be informed until it’s certain that he’s getting better. Afterwards, that’s where things get murky. Cal isn’t sure what he wants to do, what he could do— all he knows is that he wants his brother back, even if it means hiding him from every nation on the continent. Even if it means Mare can’t know that he’s still alive.

Specifically Bledd (Blaze x Edd), Blom (Blaze x Tom), Blatt (Blaze x Matt), Toraze (Blaze x Tord) and Polyblaze (Blaze x Edd, Tom, Matt, and Tord).

Also, quick clarification: Blaze is not me, she is not a self-insert, at least not anymore. Like the boys, she is her own character that is loosely based on me (mainly in terms of appearance and preferences). She and FNF Blaze are also not the same person, they're separate entities.

Why did you choose your URL: Okay this is embarrassing. I was trying to sign up for AO3, so I did a quick Google search for two things, what's the name of Dean's daughter? Emma, and Chuck's last name, Shurley

I accidentally typed Emma as Emily and that's it. 

There was a very real chance that my url would have been emmashurley. Thoughts on that one? Maybe I'll change it someday. 

What inspired you to become a writer: Being an only child who wasn't allowed to watch tv for more than 2 hours. And not having friends, that also had something to do with it. 

How long have you been writing: Fanfiction? 4 years (was on Wattpad before this). In general? 12 years, I guess... I remember showing my first short story to my english teacher in 6th class. 

What do you do when you are not writing i.e. Job/Hobbies etc? Cooking, eating what I made. I don't get to cook often so I enjoy it when I can. Other than that, college takes up most of my time. Currently getting my bachelor's degree in science. It's my last year, will probably get master's in zoology next. 

How long have you been in the SPN Fandom? 4 years

Are you in any other fandoms and do you write for them? Way too freaking many. But I write for marvel and I'm thinking of re-posting the very first vampire diaries fanfic I wrote. But are people still into vampires?

Do you do any writing outside of fanfiction? If so, tell us about it? Mostly journalling, but I occasionally take part in writing competitions and things.

Favorite published author: Amish Tripathi (He mainly writes Hindu mythological fantasy? If that's anyone's jam here)

Have you ever read a book that made an impact on your life? Which one and why?: Leap of faith by Danielle Steel. Not for any reason other than the fact that it was the first novel I ever read. My grandfather was reading it, and I told him I wanted to read something too so he gave it to me. 

Favorite genre of fanfic (smut, angst, fluff, crack, rpf, etc):Platonic fluff!!!! Give me all the fics of best friends being adorable. 

Favorite piece of your own writing: Once upon a Winchester. But I gave myself so little canon to work with that I think I'll continue it after the show ends. I have to know the ending to continue it. 

Most underrated fic you have written: Letters to no one. For any marvel fans, it's a two part fic in Natasha's POV, just some letters she thought no one will ever read. 

Story of yours that you’d most like to see turned into a movie/tv show: Project Latrodectus, again marvel. I kinda feel bad for mentioning my marvel fics so much but I'm pulling influences from the story of Eklavya in Mahabharata, which is a Hindu epic so complex that I won't attempt to explain it here. 

Favorite Tumblr Writer(s): Ahh that's a tough one. I love so many people. At this point, mentioning Myin ( @myinconnelly1 ) feels like cheating because another who has ever looked at my posts can tell she's my favourite human. So I'll try not to mention her further.

Favorite character to write: Marvel: Natasha Romanoff, Supernatural: I have never written Charlie but I'd love to. 

Favorite Pairing to write: So they are platonic ships but Dean and Charlie, the boys and Garth and Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff. 

Least favorite character to write (and why): Easily John Winchester. I don't know, my brain just can't process his character. Like no matter how many times I try, John just sounds off. 

Do you have anyone you consider a mentor? Irl, my grandfather. On tumblr, Myin. I know, I know I said I won't mention her but Myin is my support system here. No matter what goes on in my brain, no idea is too crazy for her. 

Do you have any aspirations involving your writing? To make people feel less alone because I think that feels like shit. My goal moving forward is to write more Indian reader and LGBTQ reader fics because I think not many people in the fandom (that I know of) are writing those fics. 

How many work-in-progress stories do you have: Four, all of them are series. Technically 2 are my ongoing ones. And one is an MCU x SPN crossover that's taking a while to plan. 

What are you currently working on? Nothing focusing on college these days. But will write random one shots here and there.

“Pond Diving” - All About The Writing

What/who has had the biggest influence on your writing? My inability to write romance. No joke, I don't feel like I write it well. So I tend to write general fics and crack fics.

Best writing advice you've been given: Someone recommended the book, writing down the bones, to me a while ago. In the very first chapter it says, use a cheap notebook (so you don't feel guilty about 'bad writing') and a fast writing pen. 

Since most of my non fanfic writings are done by hand I like that advice.

Biggest obstacle you’ve faced in your writing: Procrastination. I'm the creator of my one misery here. I push stuff till the last moment then complain about being too busy to do anything. 

What aspects of writing do you find difficult when you write fanfiction?Smut. I can't. I don't know I like to say I don't feel comfortable writing it but the truth is I just think I'd put people off. Which is not the intended outcome. 

Is there anything you want to write but are afraid to (and why): More LGBTQ+ characters/reader inserts. Why? Say for example, even though I'm bi, but my version of bisexual Dean might not be something other people would relate to and I'm scared of accidentally offending someone. 

What inspires/motivates you to write: What if scenarios. I love speculating and coming up with the context behind what we see on screen. Like an idea that I'll one day use is, what was Sam going when Dean was in hell or purgatory. Sure in one case he hit a dog and met a girl but how? 

So I want to write more general fics or like filler between the scenes we see on the screen. 

How do you deal with self doubt: By talking to people, knowing I'm not alone in this helps. And sending fics to friends before I post them. 

How do you deal with writer's block: Play the sims. What I mean is take a break, do something completely different for a while. 

Do you plan/outline your story before you start: I don't, for one shots. For series I have to have an ending or else I'll lose interest very quickly. 

Do you have any weird writing habits: Would you consider writing/planning things on paper before writing it on the computer weird? 

Have you ever received hateful comments on your fic and how do you deal with it? I did. My very first fic on Tumblr. It was a Tony Stark x Indian!Reader fic and someone messaged me saying most content media is written for an American/Western audience. And that Tony Stark would never actually do for someone who's Indian because well Indian characters aren't primarily present in the MUC. So no one wants to read it. 

What I did about it? I deleted the fic and every backup I had of it. Because in my head they were right. All Indian get is Bruce Banner doing charity work for "all the poor Indians".

It wasn't until recently that I started talking to @desisamslut that I realised that people actually want to read about reader inserts that are like them. I mean it's called a reader insert for a reason how could I not see it?

Conversely: what’s been some of your favorite feedback on your fanfic?When someone made a mood board for my Black Widow fanfiction. 

If you could give one piece of advice to a new and/or struggling writer, what would it be? Hang in there, no matter how uncommon you think what you want to write about is, you'll find an audience. I mentioned @desisamslut in another answer, the first thing she told me was she has never seen an indian reader fic, so she felt happy when she read the one I wrote recently.

How many F/Os can I have?

As many as you want! Some people gain new F/Os almost every day (like myself) while others only have one F/O that they focus on. Have as many F/Os as you want, in whatever categories you want! Go ham, live your life, cringe culture is dead and we’re dancing the YMCA on its grave.

Can I have multiple romantic F/Os from the same source?

Absolutely! There’s nothing wrong with that!

How do I handle having multiple romantic F/Os from the same source?

There are a couple options for that. One would be having a poly ship with them, where you would date all/multiple F/Os in the same universe. Another option would be to create different universes for each F/O. By this, I mean you would have a story/universe set where your self insert is dating one F/O, and then you would create another universe in which your self insert dates a different F/O.

Isn’t self shipping for kids?

Hell no it’s not. The most common reason for self shipping is to cope with issues such as mental illness, day to day life problems, physical disabilities, etc. Everybody needs a coping method.

Do I have to self ship to cope or can I ship for fun?

You can totally ship for fun!! It’s just a popular coping mechanism, but that doesn’t mean that’s why everyone does it. There are a ton of people that self ship just because they find it fun. And that’s super great!

Is self shipping healthy? How do I know if I’m being unhealthy about it?

Answering this is kinda tough, because overall, I would say yes, it’s very healthy, when done properly. It can be, and in almost all cases, usually is a very useful and effective coping method, but like all things, there are ways to overdo it.

If your self shipping begins to hurt you or anyone else, it’s usually best to take a step back. If you find that you become dependent on the praise an attention from others because of your ships, it’s time to step back. If you find yourself feeling more upset and down because of your ships instead of feeling happy to be in them, it’s important to reassess your situation.

Very important: If you find that you are lashing out at others or becoming hostile towards other people as a result of your self ships, TAKE A STEP BACK. Jealousy over F/Os is common, but the moment you lash out at someone else about it, you’ve taken it too far. Self shipping is inherently not meant to harm anyone, that’s the point. If you’re using your ships to hurt other people, you’re doing it wrong, end of story.

Is it wrong that I don’t like seeing other people ship with my romantic F/Os?

Not at all! Since self shipping is a very personal thing, many people tend to feel uncomfortable seeing other people that self ship with their romantic F/Os. It’s important to put this information somewhere on your profile to let people know whether you’re comfortable sharing or not. If needed, always feel free to block blogs and tags so you won’t see those ships. Self ship is your safe space, make it to your liking.

As stated before, the one thing that is NOT okay is harassing someone because of your self ships. One of the most unhealthy things one can do is to attack other shippers that ship with their romantic F/Os. Stay in your lane, please, and respect other shippers. They love that character too. They have feelings too. We’re all people, just block and move on, please.

I ship canon characters with my own original characters that I don’t consider to be me. Am I part of the community?

I personally say yes! It might be best to specify that you ship canon x OC and not canon x self insert, as there is a difference, but you’re absolutely welcome in the community! We’re both communities battling cringe culture and saying fuck canon, and that’s very powerful. If you don’t personally feel the same towards the canon characters as your OCs do then a lot of the content put out by others might not resonate with you, but there are plenty of people that ship OC x canon rather than specifically self ship! 

I want to F/O a character, but they’re from a strange/childish/obscure/etc. source. Can I still F/O them?

ABSOLUTELY YOU CAN. Self shipping is for YOU and YOU ALONE. This community has source materials of all kinds! Some people F/O popular anime characters, others F/O characters from book series they enjoy, other people F/O characters from cartoons they watched as kids. The possibilities are endless! It doesn’t matter how “strange” you might think your F/O will come off as. And obscure characters are so much fun to F/O! You’ll be supported, and anyone who doesn’t support you for having “weird” and/or obscure F/Os is an ass. :D

I don’t feel any need for relationships in real life, but I enjoy dating fictional characters./I am not attracted to (gender identity) in real life but I am attracted to fictional characters of this identity. Is that okay?

Totally! This is a whole different world. You don’t have to want t date someone like your F/O in real life in order to be a valid self shipper. Some people decide to change their orientation of their self inserts to match their relationships with characters. And in fact, there is a portion of people that identify as fictosexual, which as far as Im aware, is on the aroace spectrum and means you feel attraction to fictional characters! I’m not too well versed in the whole thing, but it’s out there. 😊 No matter what your orientation is in real life, it doesn’t have to match the orientation or desire for relationships of your self inserts.
