mAN - I started reading Honey from the Rocks by Lawrence Kushner today and it's so funny to me that I just read A Report for an Academy by Franz Kafka for the first time yesterday, considering the line I just read from the former:

Happy Wednesday amazing fandom :) Another good one where Tim is naturally the supportive husband. We get to delve into Lucy’s past a bit more. Find out more about why we dislike her mother LOL My rage for her is reignited. Lets get going though.

4x14 Long Shot

We join Lucy in the kitchen pouring over forms and getting frustrated. Tamara sits down next to her asking what’s she’s doing? Lucy explains it’s the forms for her egg extraction. Except it’s a little more intense than she expected. They are wanting to know tons of family history dating back to her great-great grandfather. Tamara says it’s probably just to harvest the best eggs. Lucy tells her it’s hard to answer these when she doesn’t know her real dad.

Tamara is surprised she doesn’t know this about her. Lucy is being surprisingly calm about the whole thing. Saying her dad was her dad. Since he was the man that raised her. Her mom only told her that her real dad wasn’t ready to be a dad. (Only part of it lying liar…)Tamara starts going off on what she could pass on to her kids. Lucy giving her a serious mom look. Haha I love them.

She tells her she’s taking reproductive bio at school. Lucy starts to look a little overwhelmed than she was before. Just replying with an ‘Mmhmm…’ Tamaras comments about her dad starting to sink in more. Wondering if she should be more bothered she doesn't know her real dad? That maybe she should pursue that but isn't sure.

We start our lovely ship out on a call. Lucy asking Tim if he thinks it’s weird she hasn’t tried to find her bio dad? First off I love him already knowing this already. Tim is clearly already clued into this fact. It’s not something she’s bringing up for the first time. Completely normal 'partner' stuff for him to know automatically. Second just having personal convos every day now I love it. Tim is soft at first telling her she doesn’t owe the guy anything. I mean she really doesn't from a logical standpoint.

Then Tim is a little more blunt in his second comment LOL Lucy is exasperated with him and I’m laughing. He’s trying to make a joke to lighten the mood. Doesn’t go over well but 'A 'for effort Tim haha It's his way of being supportive but trying to keep her head in the game. Since they are approaching a crime scene and all that.

They have a mini married moment as they walk up. Lucy makes a comment about she doesn’t know why she bothers talking to him about personal stuff. In response to his millimeter reply. Tim smiles and replies ‘Mission accomplished,’ Lucy looking at him with fond exasperation. Because that’s the level we’re at now. Exasperated with each other per usual but also still very fond.

This next part is so funny. They ask Bailey if they have a suspect? She says no... but she has a good idea whoever torched guys car is a woman. Ha. It’s easy to see why someone would after talking to this guy for two seconds. The arrogance is insane.

When he asks for Lucy’s number LMFAO I’m dying. Tim’s face and his ‘I’m out’ demeanor is too damn funny. He knows Lucy can handle herself and will put this man in his place if needed. So he walks away lets her handle it. Eric kills me with the facial expressions. Lucy’s face is also is super funny. She’s so annoyed but pulls out her pad anyway. Bracing herself to deal with this turd. Her face screaming 'Thanks Tim....'

They respond to a second call. A lady saying a crazy woman came in and released rats. She had an animal carrier and let them out during her breakfast rush. Tim asks her to describe the suspect. She lists the same thing the arson victim did. They put two and two together pretty quickly. They’re the same person. Apparently she used to work for this woman. They get a name in the process. Jordan Conner. Lucy is so cute getting distracted by the rat noise. I love her so much. After Lucy resets herself asks her if she has her address at all?

They make it to her apt and see a man rinsing his eyes out. Tim asking if he’s ok? Man is surly af with Tim. Saying does it look like he’s ok? Easy fella lol Tells them his tenant Jordan Conner pepper sprayed him. Letting them know she was three months behind on rent. Complaining she had special circumstances for being behind.

Tim gives him his card and tells him to call if she returns. I love when they’re walking away how close they are. Zero space between them as they exit. Tim brushing against Lucy as they talk about their next move with this woman. I see you guys. Don't think I don’t haha Tim says they’ll have to get a warrant for her phone. So they can stop her before her crime spree escalates any further.

The warrant leads them straight to her. They find Jordan sitting on her car in the hills. She seems resigned as hell. Like she was waiting for them to come find her. They approach her slowly and tell her all the people they’ve met with today. Her ex, her former boss and her landlord. Tim calling it a pretty epic revenge tour. She calls it her hit list. Lucy asks if she wants to talk about it? She sighs and says people suck. That they do…Tim agreeing saying ‘Yeah. Amen to that.' HA Also once again lets note the lack of space above. Mix this in with a tall/smol shot my heart is happy.

Lucy probes a little deeper. Saying she must’ve had a reason? Jordan opens up and tells them she has the breast cancer gene. It came from her mom and she had been waiting for it. So when she found a lump she wasn’t even surprised. Been waiting her whole life for it. She thought she was going to die. Then last week she went into remission. Tim tells her congrats. She doesn’t thank him. Just replies she was done apologizing for existing. Thus her hit list. Saying she wanted to make her own karma. That everything she did was worth it to her.

I can't say I blame her for being so angry. It does seem like the shitty people of the world get away with murder. If you're good, do your job, do right by people you still get screwed by life. I can't say I don't relate to her. Her BF bailed on her when she was sick. Saying he didn’t do bald chicks. That dude needs to have his penis revoked IMO. What an asshole. Her boss fired her for being late from chemo and her landlord raised her rent when she was too sick to work. That’s a lot. Lucy and Tim empathize but sadly have to still arrest her.

As Tim puts Jordan in the car we can see Lucy deep in her own thoughts. Tim mentioning how most people when they get second chance wanna be better. Saying 'Got to respect her for going the other way. 'Jordan's comment about making our own karma has struck a chord with Lucy. Voicing how she just waited around to get sick like her mom. You can she is conflicted. Asking Tim is it better to know or not? Does it do us any good to know? Truly needing his guidance on this one by asking these questions.

Lucy looks so shaken by the whole situation. I adore him knowing exactly where she’s at in this moment. No need to explain it. Knows what she is talking about without context. I love him tilting his head when he asks above if its about her bio dad? It's so cute. Being the supportive husband she needs. Giving her that last push to confront her mom. Especially if it’s going to eat at her like this. Lucy mentions she’ll go to her aunt Amy instead. Her mother would never tell her ha.

We get to meet Aunt Amy shortly after. Lucy tells her how she was given the egg appt. Explaining to her aunt how pissed she was about it at first. Amy relaying she tried to stop her from doing it. But she clearly didn’t listen to her. Lucy continues on that she decided to explore it. The forms are what’s slowing her down. She doesn’t know anything about her father’s side. We can see her aunt struggle with her telling her the truth.

Not wanting to betray her sister’s trust. I can empathize with that. We find out her mom. Her perfect strict pain in the ass mother slept with a patient. Not only that but that patient is her biological father. She hid it to protect her career and to push away the shame. Suddenly everything is coming into focus. Not surprising her lineage is tied to her mother’s selfishness. Poor Lucy is floored by this info. I know I was when I first watched it. Unreal.

Once they’re back in the shop Tim’s Lucy radar is going off. He looks over at her and see’s how distraught she is. Once again just like in 4x11 asking if she’s ok? This man is so soft for her at this point. Can’t stand her hurting. So he opens up the floor for her to talk. Knowing she is not doing ok. It’s his way of saying if you need to talk let’s talk I’m here to listen. Never be over how he has grown in this way. Seeing her hurting and wanting to help.

Having her hash it out with him. Because he knows it’ll make her feel better. This man ❤️ Sure loves his girl. Melissa crushes this scene. The emotions behind her voice kill me. She is on the verge of crying and Tim knows it. Look at her above she is so emotional she's not even sure where to start. She has a million and one emotions surging through her and it shows. With how she starts to try and talk then stops. Struggling to find the words to convey how she is feeling.

I can relate to this so much. Being so deeply emotional about your parents. Not even knowing where to begin. Only that you are so deeply hurt. Lucy takes another beat before beginning. Expressing how her mother has made her feel her whole life. It’s the worst when nothing you do is good enough. You strive to impress and always come up short. It’s hard not to get a complex about it. I mean I still struggle with my parents thinking I’m their f*ck up child. They’ve never said it but their actions scream it.

Lucy continues on about how her grades, BF’s, career never been good enough for her. Then she finds out her mom made the biggest transgression she could as a therapist. That ever since then she’s been trying to make up for that sin. By riding Lucy into the ground to make up for her mistake she made early in life. In her twisted mind if Lucy came out the way she wanted her to it would erase that shame.

So messed up on very many levels. We watch Tim nod along and let her know he's listening. To give her the opportunity get everything off her chest. You can see the worry in his eyes in the second gif. The way he looks over at her with such empathy in his eyes. Hating how much she is hurting in this moment.

Tim tries to do devil’s advocate. Giving her some logic but it doesn’t land. It never does with her mother. At least not at first. Lucy then voices the thing I’m sure she’s thought her whole life. That’s her mother resents her because she represents the one time she made a mistake. Tim tries to deter this but she cuts him off. (I will never be over how he uses her first name in this season. Something so damn intimate about it.)

Makes me wonder what he was going to say? There was some serious emotion behind his ‘ Lucy it’s..’ We’ll never know cause her aunt texted her what her father’s name is. This is where Tim tries to make her laugh. He’s doing such a solid job being the supportive husband. This tops it off IMO. He can always make her laugh and smile when she is stressed.

Knowing if he makes her laugh it’ll relieve that tension in her body a bit. Making a silly joke about her dad’s name. Saying least it’s not stupid like Dilbert LOL Distracting Lucy from her hurt for a moment with his silly joke. You know he’s proud of himself for getting her to smile in this moment. All he ever wants now in these kind of moments is to make her feel better. Mission accomplished Tim.

You made your girl feel better. Knowing she was on the verge of tears and taking a beat to make her smile. That’s love. 4x12 was about Tim being a control freak. How he doesn’t like to go outside his comfort zone ever. Then we see him do stuff like this. Things he wouldn’t have done pre-Lucy. Making jokes, reaching out to make sure she’s ok, if she’s not he is making it his mission to make her feel better. Gah I love this man so much and his journey. My damn heart.

Tim Bradford can go outside his comfort zone. The question is are you worth it to him to do so? Lucy has earned this out of him ten fold. This season is the fruit of all they’ve built the previous 3 seasons. It’s so glorious to watch the result of it. Said this before but moments like this are what make their slow burn so worth it. Look at how comfortable they are with one another. Lucy spiraling he lets her get it out then reels her back in with a joke. These two I cannot with how much I love them.

We end the episode how we started it with Tamara and Lucy. They’re stalking her potential father on social media. Tamara is so cute having a list of candidates ready for her. Lucy gets a phone call that interrupts their search. She gets the news that he’s dead. It’s so sad to watch her take this news in. Tamara trying to console her best she can about it. Saying yeah she didn’t know him but if not for him she wouldn’t be here. That it's ok to be sad about it.

Breaks my heart how she thought someday they’d meet. Somehow. That she had this idea of him that lingered in her mind. Tamara says she hates to ask. But was it genetic how he died? Lucy answers it was a car crash. He died alone. No kids, wife, nothing. You see the guilt crash over about this fact. I love Tamara doing what Tim would. Not letting her drown and pulling her back to shore emotionally. Refusing to let her beat herself up over it. Her makeshift family taking care of her this ep I love it.

Hush Jason. Maybe not technically Red Hood but like. c'mon. close enough

i'm giving the rating 6/10

I know the trench coat was probably more for mr. hush himself, but i enjoy it. i'm also a filthy pouch lover so they do get points. also in red! cute. the boots are also neat. the negatives are that ugly robin dress/tunic thing. kinda silly. still it was good for giving bruce a spook.

2. the classic. the og. red hood utrh version!

9/10, easy. the casual outfit paired with the sleek red helmet. *mwuah* wonderful! nothing bad to say. it's recognizable. comfortable. stylish. great job all around

3. titans tower. ah.

-10/10. i would give props for running around in the scalies BUT THE UGLY ASS YELLOW TIGHTS. disgusting. bare his legs to the world you cowards. i'm mad. this could get at least 7/10 for sheer moxy if it weren't for those hideous target brand pantyhose

4. brothers in blood.

he's literally just copying dick, but being unhinged as hell about it.

5.5/10. he looks good. who doesn't in nightwing's fit? though he is copying, he does get points for obsessive weirdness of it all.

1/10 i hate the red robin suit i hate it i hate it. we finally got tim out of the damn thing even though it came at too high a cost (he's trapped in robin purgatory). it does look okay in wfa, but usually in dc reg comics it looks like ass.

regardless jason looks bad in it too. very sweet of murdery bruce to give it to him but ugh. at least could've given him some ears on that mask. then it couldve been bumped a point

7. batman

the first time jason decided to wear a muzzle. hm.

6/10. there's nothing wrong with it. it's just a bit generically 'what would gun batman look like'. the face part is my favorite, with the weird grater muzzle, pointy ears, and red glowing eyes. it's fun

8. batman&robin

i need to get my first thought out. the little symbol on his chest reminds me of homestuck. i can't really unsee it. i know like theres no connection. but it looks like it could belong on a homestuck human

anyway. 3.5/10. he was willing to try something totally new, so i'm giving points. i enjoy the white. is the red hood goofy af? yes. yes it is. iconic, though? sometimes the upper black part is drawn lower, i've noticed. it doesn't change much for me.

i like the thigh highs going on here. the red guns are sexy!. he looks bad but there are good things here!!!

there is this version, which ditches the thigh highs, gives back the classic helmet, removes the cape for a jacket, and adds belts.

6/10 i think it fixes a lot about the prev costume, though it's really just like they threw utrh's costume and his previous batman&robin costume in the blender lmfao

an update on the og look. i do like the contrasting brown jacket, the prominant thigh straps. sometimes his helmet is drawn suctioned to his face so -2 for any of that cause it's so weird

13. batman's gift

i debated putting this, but it's different enough from the nu52 vers

very fun. body armor all over. i like the red arm guards here unlike w/ the prev one that had these (less bulky ?). i like the leg stripes.

it doesn't really do much to change his look, but there are differences

here we are. The red bandages are fun, i think if they were white i'd hate 'em but the red is interesting. i also like when bits of them are sticking out. idk. cute detail.

i like the muzzle mask as well. that with the hood has given us delightful in shadow!jason where only his eyes glow out. i also like when artists put his white hair tuft out. adorable. probably not what he's going for but that's what the creature no face look is for

really the hoodie is the one thing i'm ??? on. it looks silly in a bad way. there are ways to keep a red hood while giving a better jacket/vest. future state's was much nicer.

PJOTV Ep 4 + 5 (spoilers)

My brain is, and has been, rotted entirely! I feel like the TV show is such a treat because the new content adds layers to the story SO MUCH like the plot and character dynamics it makes me want to scream. Yes the differences are absolutely notable but the bottom line is that our main trio would find each other in any universe or storyline and would choose each other every time

-The opening scene of episode 4 broke me a bit: the lore that Percy actually did not take naturally to being in the water, he was actually afraid to be swimming! I feel like before we definitely characterized him as someone who felt at home in the water since he came out the womb but damn look how far he comes. How jarring it must be to later find out you're actually the son of the sea god :o

-Percy continually being angry about the system of the gods (not) interacting with their children, being so shocked that a parent wouldn't help or talk to their child. He's so sweet and I feel like his rage grows the more he gets to know Annabeth because he sees how amazing and loyal and cunning she is and wonders how her mother could ever ignore or abandon her

-Annabeth just in general, her badassery is so fucking perfect for this character, the way she draws her knife, her being so fucking in tune with Percy already....the way she knows exactly what Percy is going to do before he does it ((and the way he listens to her unconditionally i.e. cutting off Medusa's invisible head in episode 3 but I digress)), knowing he was alive and waiting for them somewhere at the beginning of episode 5. she is a LEGEND and she is LOCKED TF IN

-the hug <3 i won't make it weird if you won't <3 <3 we're like friends now <3<3<3 do u understand how i hurt

-trio walking down the side of the road like bums -_- i died lmfao. also them hiding when approached by some dude and just being like <3 we good ty tho!!

-Percy, again still acclimating to this fucking weird ass world where gods are real and can kill u easily, is shook when ares threatens to kill them. luckily, as a change of pace, grover is cool as a dang cucumber and saves the day af. this is what i mean like absolutely the characters are so different like yes grover has been nervous a lot but he also can turn it tf on and smooth talk when he needs to

-Annabeth has never seen a movie. Percy immediately insists that they watch one together. Look me in the fucking eyes and tell me that's not a date? Hello?

-The entirety of the tunnel scene/chair scene. Percy being the one to figure out the story illustrated Hephaestus' life. Percy ALREADY working to save Annabeth first and foremost! Percy continually sacrificing himself for her! Believing deep down she is capable of great, impossible things and being willing to set aside his life for her without question. Telling her she is better. "You just are. And you know it." Giving her Riptide, no second thoughts, no backing down.

-ANNABETH CHASE ALREADY ASSUMING PERCY'S PROMISE WOULD BE ABOUT HIS MOTHER. HIM BEING ASSURED SHE WILL SAVE HIS MOTHER, NO HESITATION. HIM ASKING HER TO COME BACK FOR HIM. HER BEING SURPRISED THAT HE THOUGHT HE HAD TO ASK. (THE ENEMY PHASE WAS SO SHORT LIVED. THEY HAVE BARELY GOTTEN IN THE BACK OF A TRUCK TRANSPORTING LIVE ANIMALS TOGETHER. WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY WOULD TALK ABOUT IN THERE NOW. I'M fine don't worry about me).

-On that note, the ending. Percy is like a loose cannon full of a deep rage and a lot (A LOT) of unrealized power; his problem is that he is not locked TF in like Annabeth (as of right now) and the ending really made me excited because it feels like he is finally catching on to what a big deal he actually is. All this anger he has inside him, all this rage at what he has lost and the suffering he has seen, .... i'm honestly beside myself at what is to come because this is already SO JUICY and I feel like we've barely started!

-side notes: the score is so amazing, I'm really enjoying it and I understand all the videos of the actors promoting the soundtrack!!! also my sister has never read the books but she loves the movies and we watch it together; she is very very excited for the casino scene so there is definitely hope for her in the near future. ((my nico loving ass will also be holding binoculars and twitching))

so yes a lot was changed but i am really liking the new content a lot because it just feels like added lore and, again, these guys can best the odds in any universe and help each other in every timeline. the most important plot points are there and i feel like they have already set up a lot of info for later on down the line. I do wish there was a bit more banter/conversation (because Percy is actually so quirky and I feel like this could be explored more) but the time we do have is amazing and feels super fresh! even when i've read the books to pieces! and again the convos they're having right now are setting shit up for later and maybe then they can play and have fun wit it. as always, i will be loyally sat, lurking, reblogging. kiss

He tried so hard to comfort you, being like: "I mean- It wasn't that obvious-" even though he is the most dense person ever. He didn't know that the hottest chick in high school liked him, and she literally gave him so many hints-

You then started to panic if Streber knew you liked him, and that led to a whole other situation

But yeah, he was pretty chill about it, slightly awkward about it, but pretty chill

And if he and Streber started to date, he would be slightly on edge, but you're his best friend, and he knows you wouldn't try to steal him away. He also feels bad for dating the person you like, but you assure him that it's fine

Ninjago is weird af. It's a kids Lego show (The first and only one to properly take off, the ones that came after it were cheap knock-offs and were somehow even weirder. Example: Lego Chima, Nexo knights. Nexo was just ninjago but with knights, instead.) That, I'm fairly certain, is still running. The original director and creator of the show left really recently, though, and the shows being left in the hands of new people.

It's obviously a kids show, but like, it could make some serious bucks as an anime tbh. Before the reboot (They changed the animation style after the movie, to make it more consistant? Idk, I didn't like it because the movie wasn't really a ninjago movie. All the characters personalities were fucked up and the show changed to be more like that. Though, I'm biased and prefer the og for nostalgia purposes.) One of the characters had the lesbian eye slit (A guy, btw. He's absolutely gay), one of them was autism coded (I felt it was handled well. Obviously not the best, but well for a kids show.) One of them had anime hair that would've been hell to animate, and this one had almost all the trauma. There's another one with daddy issues who had a whole coming out thing (He was coming out as a ninja but it was very similar to a coming out to a Homophobie parent speech), and one of them is literally the trauma

The run down of the Characters is like:

Kai- The anime protagonist. Dead parents, used to be the main character. Angsty. Distrustful. Angry. Is supposed to represent bravery. He started raising his sister when he was, like, five years old. He used to be a blacksmith. He's the fire guy.

Nya- The sister. The damsel in distress until she isn't. Mechanical mastermind. She's a perfectionist, she's sassy, she's The Girl™ character that you expect from a kids cartoon. I won't spoil who she is.

Jay- One of his first lines was hitting on Kai's sister after she got captured. Literally "Is she hot?" to Kai's face. Kai, like a sane person, told him to back off. Jay is the writers favourite. He gets the girl. His biggest trouble is that he was raised in a junkyard by his parents. He's the lightening guy.

Cole- His mom died. His dad is trying to remake his glory days. He's buff, level headed, and loves cake. He's the defacto leader. He has a scythe as a weapon. He's the earth guy

Zane- Is a massive nerd. He's lovable and he's friendly. He doesn't know much about social cue but he tries his best. He's very awkward. He's different from the rest of the team, but they love him none the less. His whole character arc is learning to be who he is, not being like everyone else. He's a brilliant cook with a cool falcon friend. He's the ice guy

Wu- The in sighting incident for the team. The son of God. Is a really old man who made a child army and is presented as a good guy. The first time you meet him is through him insulting Kai, the main character.

Garmadon- The big bad, he's dramatic. He's theatrical. He's lowkey silly. He's a babygirl. Despite being absent, he wants to be a good dad to his son, but his son is destined to fight him and he doesn't want to make that harder than it needs to be.

Lloyd- A little shit of a child, he is a true menace. Imagine Maui as a child. He's adorable. His biggest crime is stealing candy (And also releasing war criminals, but he didn't mean to so it's ok xx)

Pythor- The sexiest snake villain to be brought into TV. I'm no furry/scaly, but they gave him the sexy/deep/sultry British voice. They intended for that to be the desired effect.

Skales- Pythor's spiritual wife. They're divorced and married and they hate each other and love each other. Later on Skales gets an actual wife and they made her pink and gave her boobs to prove she's a girl lmfao

to get to all of this you take an elevator from inside his mansion that opens right into the room

there is only a small part that is inside the entry room, its just easier than having to walk up a billion stairs to get to the top of a 100ft tall tank 😭 there are two caves at each end of the tank, that way the animals inside and raf dont have to swim clear across the tank each time to get to it lmfao plus the one at the front is the one he uses most and the one at the back is the one most the animals use, but its not like exclusive. there is a couple feet above the entire tank of open air for emergencies,

tank is 100ft deep, 100 ft wide and 100 ft long at the biggest part, i forgor to measure out how much would be by the room other than how tall it is 😭, the stairs leading up are in a slight curve so its not as steep with railing along the sides. there is a couple closets going into the wall to take up less space, one for supplies like stuff to keep the water clean and balanced, snacks for the animals, basic medical supplies, towels, some art supplies ect. in the other is the electrical shit like controles for the filters, pumps, lights, heating, all that jazz.

the entry room is 19 ft long, 14 ft wide and 35 ft tall, all in all not very big since its just for raf to get in and out really, there isnt much in there either just some art on the walls and a little table or two. all the good shits inside the tank, it looks like youre transported to the inside of the ocean

only one of the walls is glass, the one inside the room so you can see inside the tank. there is a platform at the top just above the water that starts to slope down with a step at the bottom for easy getting in and out, the entire thing held up by strong af metal beams. the part of the tank inside the room is only 25ft tall, big enough so he can comfortably dive in and move

-idk about yall but if that was me i would also take the opportunity to bully him, bringing like an apple or something and when he comes to the surface to greet you, hold out the slices and tell him to do a trick like you would a dolphin or seal. he grabs you by the leg and yanks you into the water for this. (never keep any non waterproof items on you when near the tank btw) he says that he should drown you like sirens in tales of old for this too, he is a mighty lemurian, not some stupid fish at a zoo for you to make do tricks (he is all bark and no bite, just huffy you teased him like that)

-if you dont feel like fully getting in the water, you can just sit on the platform while he rests his arms on it to keep his upper body out of the water so you can chat and kiss. be warned that if you have your legs in the water he will grab them to scare you lmfao but he will also lay his head on your lap, not caring if he gets your pants wet, just pet his hair dammit. he likes when you dont wear clothes when you visit, not even just for a sexual reasons but so when he lays his head on your legs, he can feel your skin against his cheek plus they dont get wet

-he also likes it because it feels more natural, yk? you dont wear lots of thick clothes underwater after all. if you are fully naked he would be over the moon (and flustered) but if you just have swim clothes on hes happy too, especially if you model them to look like lemurians did </3

-he def makes you traditional lemurian jewlery with sea shells and rocks and such, as well as ones that fit your style/culture :3 and you have to wear them at least everytime youre in the water with him! or he will die! even better if you wear them all the time tho

-sometimes he gets kinda melancholic, it reminds him of when you first met all those years ago and everything that has transpired since...but he tries not to dwell on it long, just glad that you two are together again now and happy. if you see him seem mopey for seemingly no reason, pls wrap yourself around his tail and bite him, it will help draw him from his sadder thoughts and into the present moment

-when he does go into the ocean he is a lot more cautious bringing you, especially if you arent the strongest swimmer(yes he bullies you for that too) he makes sure to always keep you close, preferably holding you at all times. he loves to show you his favorite things underwater though, like a group of pretty coral, some cool fish he saw hanging around, or even a cave he has claimed as his hideout

-since the ocean isnt as controlled as his tank, he makes sure you don't spend too long in there and have the proper equipment like swimming shoes and protective glasses, even if you can breath underwater, that doesnt mean the salt wont burn your eyes or you wont cut your foot on a sharp rock

-all in all he loves to be in his natural form and be with you :)

I think Cassian in the show is too chaotic and I am not sure how this man is the man we see in Rogue One

okay so spoilers under the cut <3 and yeah this turned into a whole thing lmfao of course it did.

Anon, I feel you but I also think we need to see more of his backstory to really get a feel for what sort of chaotic he is and what caused it. Because I definitely don't think we have seen everything about him as a kid. I also feel like years of fanfiction and fanon may have skewed our opinions on what Cassian should be like in canon. I want to give the show time to get there before I make a judgment on whether or not his characterization makes sense.

I can accept a lot of things - I can handwave the weird useless homeworld change although I don't understand WHY they did it - if they are well written and make narrative sense. Someone on twitter said something like "why would people think a man who wears parkas and jackets everywhere he goes be from an ice planet?" and I'm like ??? because Lucasfilm said so? lol like it was canon, even if it isn't now. It isn't that outrageous for fans to believe what is in a visual dictionary about a film.

I can accept Cassian having a first love named Bix who he has an on and off again relationship with even if it's unhealthy af for them, I can accept Cassian being "adopted" even if I'm side-eyeing how it happened (and they'd better show more about that shit because that was a kidnapping lol). I can accept him not having Kaytoo for a while or being a thief and a con artist and a messy bitch as long as it's not just self-interest that makes him act out.

All of these things could work if they are well written.

But I will stand on what he says to Jyn on Eadu as being 100% true and if they stray from that it will absolutely be a problem for me, even if it makes for a compelling story on its own.

I saw someone else on twitter say something like "do you think a guy who kills a guy in cold blood has a problem with twisting the truth?" in reference to what Cassian says on Eadu but I find that to be weak AF. For one, Eadu was a turning point for Cassian so why would he lie to Jyn about something so personal? Rain is one of the most basic tropes in storytelling and it is commonly used to signify cleansing, change and rebirth. Cassian choosing not to snipe Galen Erso and trust Jyn fully happened during a massive rainstorm on a stormy planet, Rogue One wasn't being subtle with that. We see Cassian struggle to lie to Jyn at first about how she's in shock but he can't even really do that because he's just gone through a transformation into a man who follows his intuition and does what he thinks is right even if it is against his orders. And he wants to defend himself to her because he didn't betray her in the end- and because they are mirrors of each other, he therefore didn't betray himself. But also she knows how to push his buttons because they are so similar and he snaps and goes off on her for it. It's the most honest he has been with her and the audience to that point in the film. I need the show to treat it as him being honest, not honest from a certain point of view.

So the following things have to be canon:

He doesn't have the luxury of deciding when and where he starts to care about the cause.

He's been in the fight since he was six.

He's lost everything.

He's decided to do something about it.

He didn't have any choice but to care about the cause because he saw his homeworld be exploited and destroyed by the Republic. Hopefully we will see more of younger Kassa/Cassian in order to see how he behaves a child who has been stolen from his people - even if it was with good intentions. I think that would be a big mistake to just let that be the end of it. I am sure we will learn about his father - I am not sure if they are going with an adoptive father (the man with Maarva?) or if Jeron is his father on Kenari and was hanged there? I think iirc the man with Maarva is her husband.

I need to see him resisting in some way throughout his life. I think he was sabotaging some Imperial tech of some sort on the ship in episode one, and I would prefer that if he's gonna be a schemer, he's a well intentioned one who is trying to fuck with the Empire in some way. That makes more sense for Luthen to want to meet with Cassian imo than if he's just a talented thief and con without any clear politics. The way Luthen talks about sacrificing everything to take down the Empire makes me think he knows how much Cassian cares about imperialism. And Cassian's reaction was more than just anger at hearing about his father, it was shock at something so held so secret being revealed by a stranger, which makes me think that the father who was hanged was from Kenari and not Maarva's husband but idk it could be either. I don't think he'd be as surprised if it was an adoptive father that everyone on Ferrix knows like they know Maarva.

For instance, when he goes to the brothel he doesn't make it clear he's searching for his sister and not actually interested in paying for a service, but it's pretty clear to me that he's not interested in what's going on around him apart from just figuring out the lay of the land. For all this talk about Cassian being a slut I don't see any real evidence of it? If anything, it seems like both Bix and Maarva are assuming the worst of him (being a homewrecker, being a hoe lol) like everyone else, even if they and his friend Brasso are more concerned for him than judgmental. I am not sure anyone really knows who Cassian is at this point - but I am sure that he has things he wants to accomplish that are more than just conning people out of their money. See: searching for his sister.

The main thing that doesn't fit in that speech so far is that he hasn't lost everything and honestly has a pretty decent support system (so he better be apologizing to Jyn in Force Heaven or whatever lol because she had nothing after sixteen jfc). That's why I assume they're all gonna die or be so estranged that there is no reconciliation.

I assume his sister is dead, I assume Bix and Maarva will die at some point - Bix maybe being in the second season doesn't mean anything - and I assume Ferrix will break out into war. And I assume it will be put down brutally.

So the chaos. First the man is 21, he's still so young and he's also been through serious trauma. I don't think he's acting terribly chaotic if we look at it through the lens of him being single-minded about a goal. Because he isn't really chaotic on Morlana, he's actually very composed for a man who thinks he may see his long lost little sister who is apparently a sex worker - until the idiot racist bully mall cops fuck with him and find out.

I think that maybe this is the first time he's ever killed someone (at least in cold blood since the man has a blaster and I'm sure he's used it before) and I can imagine that even if he thinks they deserved it, he's still under a lot of stress about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he refines his natural ability to lie and becomes more stoic - especially in a more organized military environment. And as he loses more of his support system I cannot imagine that won't sharpen him up a bit. So the chaos? I don't have a problem with it necessarily as long as it is more circumstantial than like him just being chaotic by nature since he's not like that in the film.

Also let's not forget that Cassian always did have a bit of chaos in him in the film - killing the Stormtroopers and then killing Tivik, lying to Jyn about the mission, snapping at Kaytoo. The novelization has Cassian constantly thinking about Jyn's need and fire (lol i swear to god boyy) and his attraction to her, the fact that he sees so much of himself in her and how she helps him become his truest self. Jyn Erso is chaotic af. And she's his mirror.

I'm not saying I love the idea of Cassian being chaotic on her level because I'm like, just make a Jyn Erso show then idk. I've always seen her as the one who will pick the bar fight and Cassian as the one to help her end it.

Anyway I just say let's see what happens but undoubtedly this backstory is so far removed from what I and a lot of other people had imagined for Cassian.

That doesn't mean it's bad though. It's just different.

Okay so overdue photo dump/long post of when I was in Vegas earlier this year to hang out with Sushi and Poo!

I stayed there for two weeks! The first week it was mostly me and hun checking out the area bc we’re actually planning to move there sometime next year! I had to make sure the restaurant was good, see how the food markets were like, how comfortable the movie theater seats were like, what the traffic was like. We watched the show, Ka, I think-- that shit was SOOO GOOD. Uh what else, hun and I went to the casino and put in $20′s and came out with 1cent. It was really chill and we ate good food. The second week, I spent at Sushi’s place and had such a fun time spending it w Sushi and Poo. It was so chill, we watched Euphoria, talked about our OCs, went to the mall, Omega Mart, the Strip, ate good food, drank Soju and got drunk, got Dutch Bros like... almost every day LOL

The first night I was there at Sushi’s place, she gave me an edible and it was the first time I felt it-- It took like an hour for it to finally kick in, and when it kicked in, it felt SO WEIRD. I felt like I wasn’t making ANY SENSE, and it was as if I was talking so slow, but Sushi was talking a mile a minute LMFAO. When she left to go to sleep, I was staring at this one Nier print on her wall and it began taking the form of one of Van Gogh’s portrait, and his face was just glaring at me while I was laying down... I just closed my eyes at that point. When Poo finally came to Vegas, that was when I presented a powerpoint to the both of them, determining which of my OCs would end up with Sushi’s OC, Goro... and so that’s when the insanity of JoRo began LOL. NOT ONLY THAT BUT THE WEEK BEFORE I WENT TO SUSHI’S HOUSE, I WAS WORKING ON A LONG ASS FIC FOR SUSHI AND POO TO READ-- It ended up being over 100 pages?? BYE!! SO LONG!!

We went to the mall and all of us ended up buying some clothes and we ate some good ass strawberry cheesecake bingsoo. Then another day we went to the trip and walked there for like five hours and we got drinks at the Taco Bell and ate white castle-- which I have never had before! Then the days I did enjoy the most was just chilling at Sushi’s place to rest and all we did was watch a bunch of stuff, talked, drank, cried together, and Poo made their homemade beet peasant soup which was actually... really good LMAOOO, then the next day Poo had a mega hangover so we stayed home again LOOOL, then last full day we went to Omega Mart! It was so trippy, but super fun, especially when you’re walking around drunk. Also ate this good ass Korean pizza... had corn on it and I think sweet potato... I crave to taste it again. 

Anyway I remember watching a bunch of movies, but I specifically remember watching American Psycho for the first time, BUT I KEPT FALLING ASLEEP-- I would wake up in intervals and watch a bit, and see the shit that Patrick Bateman or whatever-- was up to in the movie and say “This guy’s so lame.” AND DOZE OFF AGAIN LMFAO. Also remember where Poo and I were talking and it was LATE AF, just chilling in Sushi’s personal room... and Poo was like “I gotta fart,” and barely anything came out and I was like “I gotta fart too.” And just let a big one rip... twice LMFAOO. Seeing Sushi’s collection in person was SOO crazy... literally eye candy wherever you look in her room, so nice to see in person. Like a mini library and gallery in there! Also MET PEPPER AND OLIVE!!! WHAT BABIES!! Pepper is so funny too... her scragly ass meowing was so cute. She was tinier than I thought too. 

But it was so fun, I had a great ass time in Vegas so I very much look forward to moving there in the near future to hang out w Sushi and just be closer to friends in general. I’m so thankful that she was kind enough to let Poo and I stay at her place and drove us everywhere and made sure we were fed and had so much stuff to do!

Okay i know we re all aware of it butttttt riverdale is so freaking inconsistent. Like i am happy af that theyre giving VA the time of the day again, love that. But what was it, 1 or 2 episodes ago that ronica was like bEtTy DoNt BrEaK uP wItH aRcH bEcAuSe Of FeElInGs FoR aGeNt DrAkE and now those same weird ass writers are making her be jealous out of the blue of BA. Like wtf. Its exactly like that that they made VA break up and have veronica lose feelings for him in the span of an episode. They make such hasty decisions. I truly dont think they (writers) give a shit at all about the show lmfao. Theyre just giving snippets of content to everybody and at the end theyll probably go back to the original couples in the last two episodes of s7 whilst they also hint at how the new couples also have great potential. Big time yikes. Ready for the va content though, happy thats all we care about

We've reached a point where if we wanna keep "watching" Riverdale, we simply have to accept the fact that those storylines will always be handled poorly.

That won't stop us from complaining about it. But if you actually want to enjoy the little things, you also need to move on.

I also believe Veronica is a wonderful friend. That's what she was in 617. She didn't want Betty to make the same mistake she did.

Because that was literally what happened in 518. She looked at Reggie and their similar goals in that moment, thought they'd be more compatible and then decided that was probably the smart decision.

Except that didn't work. At all. Although her and Reggie were supposedly working on paper at the time, it ended up being the complete opposite.

And when you're a good person, a selfless character, you do your best to make sure the people around you are happy -- even if it compromises your own happiness.

To be fair, she also put herself in this position.

So she gave the right advice to Betty, but you could see the longing. In her words, in her eyes. It was right there.

And although she's been a good friend and a strong person, she finally had a little breakdown.

I don't see her meddling in their relationship. But I also know if Veronica is told she's got all of her chances to have a happy ending with the only man she ever gave her heart to, she'll be fighting for that future.

Once again, that's my take on the situation. Maybe I'll be proven wrong. But so far, I've been rather spot on when it comes to Veronica and her feelings. So let's see if the writers and I are still on the same wavelength in regards to that.

One critic I have for most of hollywood actors is they learn their cry and that is it. A change from this is Margot Robbie, I adore her fluctuations of crying being similar but the crying is carried differently for each character. If I had to say any actor that does a cry scene amazing its this woman right here (Amy Adams)

You stole her story from her and gave it away, she has a right to be upset and angry and a rubber band ball of emotions.

I love Marie yep that was amazing.

Behind every great man is a greater woman, one that deserves her credit for how she has stood behind. I wonder the stories of those women, what they have sacrificed or not sacrificed. Their thoughts and feelings when the world is surrounding their partner and views them as a plus one. (I'd write a short script about this but I think do I have the time, can I, or am I equipped ?)

He is a shitty person for bringing up his exes, like she even said I don't wanna know any of that.

Imagine being on anti depressents and rarely having a sex drive and then when you do your partner starts talking about their exes and tearing you apart for all your faults.

I love when you see peaks of Zendaya's cadence in roles.

Tension, what if's and he didn't even bring her up in his speech.

Marie to herself and the audience:

He is not afraid that he will loose her but as my character says in my unreleased story, "i can't wait til you give me a fucking reason to leave your ass." Malcolm expects everything in order for not even doing the bare minimum and she is only asking him for something as simple as consideration. She just wants him to be considerate. He wants to get married and considers their relationship like rolling down a hill at full speed and he cannot apologize, he cannot be considerate, and he cannot admit his wrongs. He can only offer her I love yous that he probably does mean but he does not back up outside of what he's done for her in the past. The past which was more of her experience than his and he sees his part in it as a burden. He doesn't use his own vantage point of the past to further his career he uses her. He does all of these things without a real apology or thankyou because he is not afraid to loose her.

The restrictions of quarantine and the panorama have made Sam's writing very no frills. I wonder how other films from other directors and writers that are filmed in small contained crews like this will be structured. But this was a very good movie gonna add to my letter box 3.3-3.5

Ratings/overall thoughts:

Script is like a C+, B- : I could go into my heavier big brain thoughts on the script but I don't feel like it. You catch hints of it above it centers conversation on race and privilege, mainly the writers and questions i have that won't be answered but Sam did make me grow disdain for Malcolm over a short time. Which is sometimes hard to do because im one sympathetic person but the sympathy i have for Malcolm is at 0. Maybe a 2 at some scenes but then it quickly goes back to 0. Some parts of the dialogue miss the mark or hit the are off balanced. While some of it like Malcolm's bathroom speech albeit mean is really strong or their conversation when he comes back from peeing really shines for me.

Performances: B+ to A- because they carried the script further than it could of gone with less talented actors. The monologues do well to showcase their current skill levels which are already high af and leave room for anticipation in where these actors go next.

Zendaya holding a knife: A+ with a gold star. That switch on and off and on is delectable.

John being a shitty boyfriend but following Marie like a lost puppy: B+ with a good job written at the bottom of the paper, Malcolm being nervous a frantic dialed up with more realistic nervousness would have sold me completely on Malcolm's anxious waiting.

Cinematography: A and a participation award.

The mac and cheese: A+ for the easy mac. Wish it was like Annie's or Velveeta.

Cigarettes: Participation award and their picture hung up for student of the month. Why the grill lighter? Everytime Malcolm opened up his mouth Marie was like sparks fly.

The music: A++ with a prize. Whoever picked the music probably makes good Spotify playlists.

Now that they're official, what do you see Paxton and Devi’s relationship dynamic looking like next season? In terms of dates, PDA, studying together, physical stuff, conversations, dinner with each other’s families (Nalini PLEASE warm up to Paxton thank you), sex, fights, etc? I personally thought Paxton falling asleep on Devi at the relay was an adorable touch and I hope we see them cuddling up next season or lying on each other’s laps and things like that. It’s also pretty clear that they really really like making out with each other lol :) and I’m wondering if they’ll take that to second base or further next season. It’s interesting to think about– they’re such a fun, unique couple and I'm a sucker for teen romances with body language! I also think that regarding sex, it could definitely be hilarious to contrast Devi's total inexperience with Paxton's plentiful experience, but based on how much he genuinely likes her I think he'd be totally okay taking things slow for a change.

I'm also wondering if Devi will open up to Paxton about her therapy and how much she's been going through mentally. It'd also be neat to see her encourage Paxton to trust more people with Rebecca, and for him to talk more about how affected he was over her being bullied and how it's made him overprotective. I still think that Devi is very starstruck by Paxton and still sees him as her Superman, whereas he likes her more for who she is and how happy she makes him. I hope there's a turning point where she starts to see him as a human being rather than a celebrity figure but that's hard after so many years of obsessing over someone.

I personally don't think they will have a smooth start? I feel like they are going to be exposed to a LOT of gossip and looks especially how Paxton's friends looked at him for getting with a girl who cheated on him. But now I'm glad that doesn't stop Paxton from making Devi his public girlfriend, so that shouldn't stop him from public display of affection either. So we might see both of them in a public relationship but getting judged at the same time? But I really want them to hold hands (which I'm very sure they will) random hugs by the lockers, pecks before class but I don't know we'll see. Give me Paxton hugging Devi from the back when she's taking her books out from her locker.

I will riot if season 3 doesn't give us Daxton study dates and then Paxton just teasing her with his "bedroom eyes" them makin jokes about random facts.. physical stuff, I'm sure we are gonna see them make out more and maybe have a conversation about sex? Paxton wanting to take things slow because I believe Devi is his first actual girlfriend also I can totally picture Devi saying something weird due to lack of experience but Paxton just finding it endearing which makes it adorable AF.. and about fights.. I honestly don't know. Don't come at me okay but I think Nalini can warm up to Paxton, but I don't think she can warm up to Paxton and Devi dating, which could be a problem for them in season three. See well, I have an Indian mother who is literally Nalini but a hundred times more Nalini(if that makes sense). She lost it when I made a few guy friends. She yelled at me for talking to guys even if it was for a group project.. now she slowly warms up to my guy friends... but if I ever dated. SHE'D HAVE ME AND MY HYPOTHETICAL BOYFRIEND BURRIED. Also Devi isn't allowed to date until she's old enough to rent a car... so I don't think she'll take it well even if she's warmed up to Paxton (even though I want her too smh) ANON YES, I've replayed that way too much. Give me daxton cuddles , them lying on each others laps, falling asleep on shoulders and yes lmfao they really enjoy making out with each other, and I quote "you are very good at kissing" lol I love Devi complements him when she's breaking things off with him. Devi mostly might open up to Paxton? I feel like she would because she has in season 1 (about how she saw her dad in a coyote, her temper, culture and how people don't think she's Indian enough etc, how she thinks people are done with her) also Paxton is a VERY good listener so I can see her opening up to him. Plus he also says the right things to calm her down or cheer her up so I really want her too but if the writers decide to ruin them... I dont know.

True, we've only seen becca in the house. I wanna see her with other people. I wanna know how she reacts when Paxton tells her Devi is his girlfriend. I wanna see her and Devi roasting Paxton. I also want to see more of protective Paxton. I loved it when he opened up to her about how his sister was bullied and I do wanna see more of that.

Yeah I get what you're saying. She did think he was WAY out of her league and she's enchanted by him.. but I feel like the whole point of HER breaking things off with him was to show that she isn't anymore? I don't mean she doesn't have feelings for him.. she isn't gonna take any crap he gives her just because SHE THINKS he's a boy way out of her league. Like every time he makes a move, Devi is in SHOCK or wonderstruck (ahh I randomly remembered how 'enchanted' by Taylor suits so well with them) .

I also have a whole list of other things I want to see with Daxton in season 3. Paxton calming Devi down, helping her appreciate her culture more. Devi taking part in some Japanese event. Paxton teaching Devi two or three words in Japanese (IMAGINE IF DEVI WANTS TO SAY "I love you" first and she says it in Japanese). I want them to watch T.V shows together, have inside jokes so much more but I guess we'll have to see lol.

I always thought Sybok was cool and interesting and NOW I’m sure! Okay, seriously, I unironically love this movie, it might be my favorite out of the ones I’ve seen so far actually. TMP felt like the movies getting their sea legs, but it was slow and messy, it wasn’t as thought provoking as it wanted to be (aside from Spock’s wonderful arc in that film). WoK & TSFS are amazing for drama and angst and Spirk content, but they weren’t really asking the big questions Star Trek is wonderful for. Then The Voyage Home is just plain silly and fun and wholesome. But this, this movie had depth! The whole premise is “what is god and is there is one?” I LOVE that as someone who has a very complicated relationship with spirituality. I also already loved the TOS episodes This Side of Paradise, Return To Tomorrow, The Omega Glory and The Way To Eden, and this movie had the best of those concepts! Sybok was such a fascinating antagonist/anti-hero and I hope we get to see him explored more on screen one day, even if it’s just through Discovery/SNW flashbacks. It may have started off slow and it’s not without its flaws but this felt like the Star Trekkiest TOS Star Trek movie so far!
