First look at We Grown Now

A new trailer has been released for We Grown Now, which is set to release April 19, 2024.

In 1992 Chicago, as Michael Jordan solidifies himself as a champion, a story of two young legends in their own right begins. As wide-eyed and imaginative best friends Malik and Eric traverse the city, looking to escape the mundaneness of school and the hardships of growing up in public housing, their unbreakable bond is challenged when tragedy shakes their community just as they are learning to fly.

Chicago’s legendary Tree hasn’t dropped a solo project in a few years, and here we are, three months into the new year and he has already headlined two of the best rap albums of 2019. On first listen, I think this is next level Tree, at least lyrically. Top to bottom it may be the finest work of his career. Press play and quickly learn why I believe MC Tree is the finest hip-hop artist from Chicago that’s not named Kanye or Common.
