the jesse st. james school of free glee club advice is now closed. from now on, if any of you - with the exception of a select few - require my expertise, you can pay for it. you all seem to "care" so much about winning, yet refuse to make any strides to get there, including consistently disrespecting the one person here that actually knows how to do that. if you all spent as much time working on your mistakes, as you do discrediting my numerous achievements, maybe we'd have a shot. but i'm done. i will sit silently in the back and watch you all fail, since that's clearly what's wanted from me.

Well, it looks more like a well than a tower, but still, as indicated in scavenger hunt #30, I killed some time and tidied up my desk.. sorting out my gel and fountain pens..

(and realizing that I actually have about 12 different pens with different tones of purple ink and five with green ink...and also that there are only two regular blue pens💀)

Casino Royale / Ursula Andress as Vesper Lynd (007)

I think I saw this movie on TV ages ago, but I had forgotten exactly how incoherent it is. It's at least three different movies in one, with sequences that vary wildly in tone and quality ... but even if it's less than the sum of its parts, some of the parts are pretty fun. And I love that Ursula Andress got to glam up in this crystal-encrusted pale yellow dress, since she didn't really get the chance in Dr. No.

Also, is it just me, or does Ursula Andress look kind of like Natalie Portman in profile? (See below especially.)

i missed a damn show, by the sounds of it. ...definitely. maybe he's not as shady as i'd assumed. huh.

oh, come on. don't you want to live a little? tell you what, if we get in trouble, i'll take all the blame, promise. we're supposed to be acting out. it's what they expect people our age to do. besides- i don't get that wild anyway. i'm not gonna risk getting tested at school and getting kicked off the team. i'll even have you back by curfew.

I thought it was common knowledge, but I suppose you weren't around back then. I was not subtle - I never really have been in my romantic notions - but it was something I worked through fairly quickly. Mostly it was a distraction from my own suffering love life at the time, and thankfully he never seemed anything but creeped out by it. It could have been much worse, I suppose.

It does usually involve music, though karaoke is just one of many activities. I do also love to go roller or ice skating, depending on the season. I do a fair amount of volunteer work through my temple, and relaxation is usually unwinding with a good movie and some popcorn. But I also love live music, and frequent all ages clubs where they showcase various bands around the area, and while I'm terrible at bowling I'm surprisingly adept at mini golf. I'm also okay occasionally attending the various parties thrown, but drinking is not something I'm very interested in so I don't go a lot.
